A/n: I hope this is what you expected!
It was our plan PT. 2
Fem! Reader X Jasper Hale
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————————————
Pairing: Female human! Reader X Jasper Hale
Genre: Oneshot, angst to fluff
Warning: none that I’m aware of, use of Y/n
Summary: When the Cullens returned to Forks, Jasper Hale seeks you out so that he can apologise, but you avoid him at all costs.
Word count: 1.4k
Part One here
——————————————————————————————————
Hate. Resentment. Sadness. Three annoying feelings you felt in your bones, throughout your body.
You absolutely hated that the Cullens - despite agreeing with you with you former plan - had left Forks without warning. Okay, yes, Jasper did technically 'warn' you, but he left immediately after telling you and left no room for discussion about you going with him!
You had resentment for Jasper for leaving you on that day, he had loved you and loved that you had gone as far to plan how you would leave Forks. I mean, what kind of person would leave the person they loved immediately after telling said person they were leaving and then leave without a proper goodbye?
But, ultimately, you felt sadness every waking hour. You were heartbroken at the fact you’d never get to see Jasper again, never get to kiss him, never get to hug him, never get to hold his hand, never get to be beside him ever again. You were upset because there was literally no one like Jasper Whitlock Hale, there would be no man you would love as much as you loved Jasper.
You wouldn’t go as far as to believe you were depressed, in fact, you had given into the anger instead of the sadness. You tried everything you could to get rid of that sadness, and, so, that meant you felt pure anger for Jasper.
In months that the Cullens had been gone, you had focused on many different things, however boring it may have been. You had organised your room, studied a lot, finished many of the books you wanted to read, attempted arts and crafts, sports, and much more. You even tried to help Isabella Swan out of her depression about Edward leaving, though it proved more difficult the more you tried.
Your grades went up due to your endless studying, even in the subjects you struggled on most! Your parents were proud at that, though they still worried that you had not properly been upset at Jasper’s absence. You'd been sad in your own time, sometimes you would give yourself a few moments of sadness before you would quickly despise yourself for being upset that Jasper left.
You hated him.
You hated the man you loved most.
You despised Jasper Hale.
So, when the surprising news of none other than the Cullens returning to Forks arose, you did not hesitate to ignore the supposed amazing news.
While Bella quickly went back to loving Edward, and practically planning for her own transformation into a vampire, you stayed as far away from Jasper and his family as you could. You couldn't bare to see him, you couldn't bare for him to try and apologise. You didn't want to go back to him. You didn't. Defiantly not.
Nevertheless, all you wanted to do was fall back into his arms, hold him, kiss him, love him. You wanted Jasper back, you wanted to love him, you wanted to be around him, to feel the coldness of his hands when he held your hand throughout the halls of school and as he walked you to your front door.
You missed the vampire's stupid Southern drawl, the way certain words seemed to roll of his tongue and make your knees go weak. You missed his golden coloured eyes, followed by his dark coloured eyes depending on the day. You missed the way he would walk you to your classes, the way he would carry your books when you had too many, the way he would drop you off at home after your dates, the way he was always respectful to you and your boundaries.
On Jasper's side, he had been trying desperately to get your attention, to find you while you were by yourself.
Though, due to your stubbornness, Jasper was unable find you by yourself and, if he wanted to catch up with you with his speed, he was unable to because you were smart enough to stay with other people. Or was it stupid?
Either way, Jasper had beaten himself up senseless because he felt so incredibly bad about how he left things. All he wanted to do was make it up to you, he wanted to be with you again. He knew you wanted to as well, he could feel it. Though, he could also feel your anger, your frustration, towards him.
On one particular rainy day, you had your hood pulled up over your head and your coat zipped up all the way, hands shoved in your pockets to keep them safe from the freezing rain.
Thankfully, Jasper had seen you walk out of the school, you were walking home that day, Jasper remembered from your weekly routine and because - on these days - he would be the one to take you home. He was walking quickly towards you, silent but quick. He knew he couldn't use his speed to catch up with you, but he had been so desperate to do so.
"Y/n." He called out to you, causing your heart to drop at the sound of his beautiful sounding voice.
When you didn't reply, he said your name again, now only a few feet behind you. "Please, Y/n."
"Don't, Jasper." You sighed out, but, in reality, all you wanted to do was hug him. "I don't want to hear it."
The coldness in your voice shocked him, he'd never heard you speak so rudely to anyone, let alone him.
"Y/n." He repeated, his voice was pained, you could hear the sadness in his voice. No one needed his power to know the heartbreak he felt.
You turned around to face him, rather abruptly. You would have preferred to not even face him, you knew his saddened face would break your beak into a thousand little pieces, would make the heartbreak physically hurt you.
"Don't, Jasper." You said again, your voice was trembling, but the anger was clear. "Don't you dare, you left. You left me, here by myself."
He looked you in the eyes, he could see your glassy eyes and how you were fighting the tears.
"You don't get to be heard out, not when you left like that." You scowled at him, hands in fists and you almost wished he was human so you could actually hurt him - as terrible as it may sound. "I was here, while you were... Wherever the hell you were!"
You sniffled, you were trembling and you could feel the rain down your cheeks. Or was it tears? "It wasn't fair."
"I know, I know." He said softly, he took a step closer to you, his arms extended as he reached out to you. "I shouldn't of said goodbye like that, I am so incredibly sorry."
You shook your head as he walked near you, you took a step back and it took the hint. His arms hung loosely at his sides, he wasn't going to touch you if you didn't want him to.
"Please, Y/n. I was afraid." He said, the saddened tone that escape his mouth seemed so unnatural for someone like him. He'd never sounded like this, never sounded so broken. He spoke again, but his voice was quiet, he was still aware of the people around him, the handful of students who were watching the scene unfold. "You saw what I almost did to Bella, I never want that to end up happening to you. I would never be able to live with myself again if I was the reason you got hurt."
He wanted to attempt to reach out to you again, but he didn't want to risk of getting rejected again, he wasn't sure if he could handle watching you back away from him again.
"Darlin', I never want to be the reason that you get hurt, that you..." He trailed off this time, he didn't want to say what he thought.
"That I die?" You finished for him, anyhow, with a hushed voice and a broken voice much like his. "That's what you want to say, isn't it? You don't want to be the reason I die?"
You shook your head again, now certain that you had been crying, tears streaming down your face like a river alongside the rain droplets. "You don't trust yourself, Jasper, but I do. I always have, I always will."
"I am dangerous." He whispered out.
"No." You whispered out, you walked over to him with your arms extended. You grabbed his hands. "No, you are not."
You both locked eyes, his with his golden eyes and your glassy eyes. Your words had echoed in his mind, you believed that he was good, you believed that he wasn't the monster he saw himself as.
You quickly embraced the frozen vampire, and he wrapped his arms around you. Both of you had missed the other's touch, both of you were desperate for the other's touch, and both of you finally got the one thing you desperate missed: each other.
In this moment, in the moment you held each other in the pouring rain, outside of the school, you thought that maybe - just maybe - things will be okay.

ALWAYS THE BRIDESMAID | J.H.
pairing: jasper hale x cullen!reader
word count: 2k
warning: friends in love but the one doesn't know it yet
summary: bella and edward's wedding day has you feeling somewhat envious of their love story
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You felt awful, upset with your heart for the way it ached, for the way it shouted shots of anger, of envy, it was not at all what you'd expect of it on such a happy day. Bella and Edward danced below on the makeshift dance floor the vampires had very reluctantly created while you sat crossed-legged on the roof of the Cullen mansion- grateful for the darkness for allowing you to get lost despite the endless eyes that would search for you.
You had a great love for your brother and his new mate, happy that despite years, decades, of such grim, such overpowering sadness he finally allowed himself such mundane emotions of happiness. Maybe that was what had your heart drawing in upon itself. You didn't think yourself possible of such selfishness, being tormented by pity, by jealousy that reformed your decayed cells in a way that made you nauseous. You hated how your insides twisted, begged yourself, and willed yourself to remember the joy that swerved about your lost soul while planning this day.
But you knew where it came from, what it meant. Those were your flowers that cascaded down from the trees, your dress that flowed from Bella's life-kissed figure, your flower petals that spread towards your altar, your day, your dream. Yet you weren't there, it was everything you wanted and yet it belonged to them, you gave it to them, your dream and now you sit alone, rewatching it from the outside.
“Careful,” someone warned from behind you and were it not a warning you’d heard countless times before you’d not have been able to pin its owner down so quickly, the blond vampire swinging down from a branch and sinking down beside you, giving a soft sigh as he adjusted his suit jacket, about as unhappy with the fancy ordeal as you were, for very different reasons. “You might think yourself into a mess you can’t get out of,” he explained and you almost smiled, habitually moving closer to him, letting your shoulders touch as he looked down to search for the reason for your foul mood.
“You know, Jas, I was trying to hide away in peace,” you reprimanded, though he didn’t believe you, your emotions always betraying you, shifting as soon as he was close, it was as if your heart, despite all the wrong it did you, felt safest with Jasper, freely giving away your secrets to him and his senses.
“What do you think I’m doing here?” he argued, he was speaking in that charming, kind tone, you’d be silly thinking he reserved it just for you when really you were just most accustomed to it, prompting it from him much like he prompted calmness from you, a natural reaction despite your unnatural, supernatural existence. “You thought I came here for you?” you didn’t need to answer, he knew you did, and you knew it was true even if he was trying to pretend otherwise. “Very presumptuous.”
“Oh, you know me, always thinking about myself,” your words had a bite to them, thinking the present situation was the perfect time to remind yourself and your heart that no matter how much you wished it was, this wasn’t your day, and you had no right to wish it was.
“Hey now,” he breathed, disapproving of his words being turned into a real reprimand when really he was trying to talk you out of your head, talk you up from that hole you’d dug yourself into, help you crawl back to the surface to enjoy the day, it was a happy day after all, for everyone, or at least it was supposed to be. “What’s messing with your heart today?” you didn’t want to admit it, your selfish feelings, but you also knew that if anyone would be able to help you make sense of it, it would be your best friend, he’d not judge you for your short-sighted and very much unplanned pity party.
“Actually, I think it’s the other way around, think it’s messing with me,” you sighed, stealing a quick glance at him, sure the sight of him all dressed up and perfect would’ve made you blush had the blood still traveled through your veins, instead you managed a little hum, head tilting to take him in before looking back down to the newlyweds. “Can you feel what they’re feeling?” a puzzling question, leaving much to the imagination since you were sure they felt more than just one thing on a day like today, but somehow, as he always does, Jasper knew what you meant.
“That’s not what you want to ask me,” you hated that he could make that statement so casually, so surely, you also didn’t hate it all, you merely hoped he’d answer the real question without making you ask again. “Go on then,” he pushed, you wanted to roll your eyes, lightly shoving your shoulder against his instead, not missing the way his lips begged to tilt into a smile. “Ask me.”
“Can you feel their love?” he scoffed, unsatisfied, you were nearly there, almost at the point, it was dancing on the tip of your tongue, begging for release but you were being stubborn, he decided to be kind.
“I can’t feel it, per sé, it’s not just one single emotion, doesn’t just add up to one thing you can express, as complicated as love is, feeling it is much the same.” His pause was a courtesy, one he offered due to the disappointment that dipped into the air, flooded from you, and surrounded you just as your emotions often do for as entirely as you feel everything, you felt this in your soul, another stab at your heart, another knife in your icy coffin of life. “I can’t make you feel it either, can’t show you what it’s like,” he breathed and you couldn’t deny him the little nod you managed, not even thinking before you leaned your head against his shoulder, one hand snaking around his arm, other hand searching for his fingers and claiming them in yours as if they were your own.  “I would if I could, darling, you know that, don’t you?”
“Of course, I do,” you squeezed his arm lightly, not wanting him to think he’d disappointed you somehow simply by not being able to do the impossible, it’s just that living as you do, being what you are, the concept of impossible seemed so unspecified, so mundane. You had always longed for it, wished for it at night, dreamed of it during every moment of the day, you’d wanted more than anything to feel loved in all possible meanings of the word- yet it seemed more likely that Jasper could create a counterfeit version of it with his gift than someone truly feeling that way for you, about you. “Maybe someday I could feel it, really feel it,” you nearly whispered, you willed the words to sound hopeful, but even if your voice could pretend, your heart certainly couldn’t.
“I’m almost certain that you will,” Jasper promised and you hummed when he kissed the top of your head, your eyes not leaving the sight it had been trained on, the couple in question finally moving away from the dancefloor and by the smell of it, Edward had a howling surprise in store for his new wife.
“Do you think it’ll be worth it?”
“What?”
“Waiting,” you explained and you hadn’t noticed a rather lovely looking, yet slightly terrifyingly quiet Alice creeping up to join the pair of you. “Do you think he’ll be worth waiting for?”
“I certainly think so,” Alice sang, already making herself comfortable next to you, taking hold of your arm and gently forcing you onto her shoulder instead, pleased when the action earned her a little smile from your previously pouting lips. “Think you might not be waiting as long as you think,” she shrugged and you missed her eyes as they locked with Jasper’s, who was already looking at her, hope drowning his features as he fought his brows from furrowing.
“Don’t give me too much hope, Ali,” you said, happy that you had a distraction, her bracelets perfect to fiddle with as she let you move her hand into your lap, you were calming down, feelings simmered but uncertainty lingering, yet you were safe with your comfort people and though the love you shared with your family wasn’t what your heart wished for, it did fill most of the emptiness. “I love you guys,” you mumbled, smiling as Alice proceeded to pull you into a proper hug.
“We love you too,” Alice agreed and Jasper wished the moment would pass because Alice was many things but subtle was not one of them and the way she was looking at him was impossible to miss, even if you weren’t yourself right now. “Some more than others.”
“Oh, I know,” you agreed and when you pulled away to look at them you made sure to give Jasper an extra long smile, he was after all the one to try and make everything better first, even if it didn’t exactly work. “Jasper over here is a real softy for his best friend,” you giggled at that, loving the instant recoil at the words as he pulled you right back to him, being sure to hide the way he melted around you, so perfect, he found it awfully rude of his body to react so willingly to you when the chances of being with you were so slim, so impossible, but then again, just like you, he didn’t think impossible was all that big of an obstacle to overcome.
“That I am, darling,” he purred and with one last squeeze he let you go, already prepared to swoop you right off the roof and onto the dancefloor to take your mind off all that could be clouding it and remind your heart that love was already right there waiting for it, and he would be ready to show you- to tell you more about love and just how familiar he was with the feeling when you and your heart were ready.
“I won’t mind always being the bridesmaid if you’re the one walking down the aisle beside me,” you informed him, allowing him to guide you down from your hiding place, Alice made sure to leave a little space between herself and you two before following you down.
“You won’t always be the bridesmaid,” Jasper noted, not at all surprised when he looked down to where you were climbing the branches to find your shoes had long been abandoned, free hand trying to keep your dress out of the way.
“How do you know?” you demanded once settled on the ground, giving in to his fiddling as he tried to make your dress right, tilting his head slightly as he dusted the purple material of any dirt it might have picked up on your little adventure away from everyone.
“I have a feeling,” he was unnervingly charming as he smirked at you, happy that he could feel your nerves ease, all the horrid feelings that led him to search for you now masked by a sense of content and comfort- happiness, because of him. “Trust me,” you nodded, giving in to the mood of the party as you started dragging him to the very middle of the crowd, pleased that the song had changed pace and the bride and groom were away enjoying themselves in solace.
“I always do.” And you did, you knew him well enough to know he’d always tell the truth, always be honest, always bare his heart to yours, at least when he was ready to do so too.

what did you do ? • Emmett cullen
Emmett cullen! x Reader!fem.
not my gif.
warnings: language.
summary: i hate doing these js read to find out 🤎
Tumblr media
paul and i started dating about a year after Emmett and the rest of the cullens left town, i missed Emmett i’d have to admit, but i tried and failed at convincing him to stay for me, but i clearly failed.
the cullens had came back a little over a few weeks ago, i was currently on my way home from skating, but it started raining. rain. one thing i hate about skating, it ruins boards.
“you’ve been ignoring me” i heard a very familiar voice coking from the living room, as i walked into the house.
“no i’ve been mysteriously keeping my space” i said as the tall, buff, and beautiful, pale man stood up, i leaned back again the wall looking up at the ceiling.
“why won’t you look at me ?” he asked softly, i heard his footsteps getting closer to me, that’s when i felt the frozen skins of his fingertips on my elbows, i tried to look everywhere but at him.
“i can’t.” i said bluntly, trying to remove myself from this situation.
“yn, please” he tried to grab my jaw, trying to force me to look at him, we were together for centuries, i kinda just got used to the feeling of his cold hands on me, but after this time without his hands and paul’s warm hands instead, had my feelings everywhere.
“emmett you left me, i was over it, i found someone new, and now you show up here !? after all this time, no call, no letter, no explanation ! and now you just want me to act like it’s fine !? it’s not Emmett, it’s not fine !” i shouted at him, he stepped back acknowledging what he had done.
“look i know and i’m sorry, i am so so so sorry, but i didn’t have a choice !” he tried to explain himself, but honestly i didn’t want to here it, not right now anyway, i’m going to paul’s tonight.
“you need to leave, i have places to be and people to see” i told him, pushing him towards the door.
“you mean paul ?” he asked, i looked up to see his face, all broken and hurt, i let out a breathe i didn’t know i was holding in and nodded, closing the door.
once i changed i was on my way to see paul.
*
once i arrived at emily and sam’s, i got out my car and walked through the open door, it’s was dark outside, so they were inside watching a movie.
i said hello to emily who was with sam in the kitchen, before walking to the living room.
i sat down beside paul “hey”
“hey beautiful” he kissed my forehead, pulling me into his side.
“what happen to you lip ?” i asked him, noticing that it was a little purple, he just looked down to the ground and sighed.
“this should be fun” embry spoke getting up and walking out the living room, the rest of the pack following him.
“what did you do ?” i asked him standing up, i had no thoughts my mind just went blank. nothing.
“listen me and emmett kind of had it out earlier” he tried to calm me down, he tried to grab my hands once he stood up, i pulled my hands back.
“did you hurt him ?” i asked, not want to go all tribrid on him. his silence was the answer. “what did you do !?” i asked running to the back door and running through the woods, crossing over to the cullens land.
alice either saw me coming for edward could hear my thoughts, cause carlise and esme were already outside, holding the door open.
i stopped one they saw me, i gave them a pleasing smile, before carlise nudged his head up, gesturing for me to come on.
“he’s okay just a little sore” carlise spoke, thank god i thought, i walked inside hearing emmett’s soft, sweet, but deep voice.
“yn, is that you ?” once i heard where the voice was coming from i run upstairs and in that direction.
i walked into the living area where emmett was laid out on the couch, edward and rosalie stood up and walked out, jasper and alice probably still out on the look for victoria.
“are you okay ?” he asked me.
“you’re the one sitting on the couch, hurt. and you’re asking me if i’m okay ?” i questioned him sitting in front of him on the coffee table, he shrugged his soft golden eyes meeting mine.
“i was trying to figure out if you were gonna come, then aloce had a vision” he said.
“i’m sorry” i told him, maybe if i would’ve just looked at him earlier he would be okay, or maybe if i just kept him a little at my house a little longer, or if he wasn’t such a dumbass he wouldn’t have done it.
“it’s not you fault, only person i can blame is myself.” he paused. “and maybe that asshat paul” he said i scoffed a bit and rolled my eyes.
“next time there’s a chase don’t be such a dumbass. the wolves can handle their side of the land” i told him, he chuckled before nodding.
“especially now that they have you” he said looking down.
“hey, you have me emmett. you always have” i said, he looked up at me and smiled, palming my face, pulling me into a kiss, i smiled into it, finally having him back.
i pulled away from the kiss, resting my hands on the sides of his face, i pulled him into a hug, his head into my neck.

"hi baby," jasper looked at you. he could feel the pain you were in. it wasn't necessarily a physical pain, but more of a 'i am dying and there is nothing i can do about it.' or 'i look sick and there's nothing anyone can do about it.' or 'i can't move.' it absolutely killed him, seeing the love of his life on her death bed, knowing there wasn't anything he could do to stop her from feeling that way.
barely above a whisper he heard you mumble back, "hi, my love." he would've cried if he could. he fell to his knees, and held your hand. it made you shiver, so he quickly let go.
"mr. hale?" your nurse called as she walked in the room
"yes ma'am?" he stood up
"mr. hale, i -maybe you should sit down- anyway, i am not sure how to say this, but," she looked to her feet as tears fell from her eyes, "tomorrow is her last day. i am so sorry."
he wanted to scream. she had been fighting this illness her whole life and for what? to die from it. as quickly as he could, without being suspicious, he walked out of the room to call carlisle.
"this is it. she's about to be gone. the love of my life is about to die." he screamed into the phone.
carlisle sighed, "you know I am proud of you. you stayed by her side, you helped her through everything, i know she is so thankful even if she can't say so."
then bella talked into the phone, "you could always change her." she suggested.
"no, she doesn't want that. she wants to die. i can't do that to her."
"jasper, this pain that you feel will only worsen, bella's right." Edward explained.
"i. can't. do. it," the major was starting to come out, and everyone stopped talking and gave the phone to esme.
"hi dea," she soothed, "can we come see her tomorrow?"
"yes." he was curt with his response.
"okay sweetie, we will be there in a few- also, invite the pack. i know they'll miss her, too."
he hung up. he had nothing against the pack that wasn't already there, but he didn't mind having them over. especially because he knew it'd make you happy to see them on your second to last day.
about an hour later, everyone was there and to say it was awkward was an understatement.
"her room is this way, follow me," jasper called out to the people. a few people mumbled okay's and oh's in the crowd, not wanting to say anything that might cause jasper to freak, they could tell he was on edge. yet they all understood. these were his last moments with her.
first, the cullen's entered the now stuffy room.
esme closed her eyes and snuggled up to carlisle. you had everyone wrapped around your finger. you were easily the sweetest person anyone had met, and the funniest. you were always worried that you weren't kind enough, but everyone knew different. a friend could come up to you and talk about anything and you would listen, you'd ask questions, and learn more about the subject on your own so you could understand it better.
everyone took turns saying their goodbyes to you, heartbreak was heavy in the room, jasper could feel it, but his own emotions weighed heavier than the whole hospital's combined.
now it was the wolf-pack's turn. they were crying, mainly because they could- but that's besides the point. seth ran up to your still body, only your chest moving, and he cried so hard he threw up. it wasn't much of a comic relief, but it made jasper smile. the rest of the pack talked to you, they all wanted to stay longer, but they hadn't seen jasper like this, they wanted him to have the most time.
eventually visiting hours were over so the hospital was empty besides patients and night staff. due to him being a vampire, jasper couldn't sleep. which for this, he was so thankful for. he stared at you. half of him screaming that he needed to change you, the other half, quietly saying, 'don't she'll be mad when she wakes up'.
"jasper hale! put me down right now!"
"i'm sorry ma'am, what did you say?" he teased pretending like he couldn't hear you as he spun you around in the air. there was a beautiful meadow somewhere in forks. you always asked jasper to take you there. the flowers were alive- making everything else in the town feel alive as well. it was easily the second best thing there- behind jasper.
"babyyyyyy," you laughed.
"yes darling?" he perched his brow.
"put. me. down. now."
"what's the magic word, y/n/n,"
"please, daddy," you knew the affect the word had on him, it could get him fired up in seconds. it could turn him into the major, which helped turn you on.
"you better watch yourself, miss, wouldn't wanna hurt a pretty thing like you," his voice got deeper and his eyes got darker, as he grabbed your face pulling you closer.
"what happens if I don't?" you challenged, letting him take control of your body.
"you'll find out." he threw you over his shoulder as he started marching towards his house. you knew you were in for a treat.
That's when he first got a call from the hospital saying that you two needed to get there immediately. you hadn't told him about the sickness. when you were around the cullen's things were normal because the only person who knew was carlisle. but at home, everyone knew and pitied you. you hated that, it made you feel weak, like you would die but everyone would only remember the sickness. it wasn't that way with them, or the pack.
"oh my gosh! i am so sorry for- oh my," you looked up at the boy you just ran into. his was tall, fair skin, and beautiful hair. you couldn't stop staring.
"it's not nice to stare," he chuckled.
you looked at the floor, a dark red blush covering your face, "sorry."
"don't be, but, uh- you have some drool under your lip." he wiped invisible drool off of your bottom lip as your tongue followed his finger. his demeanor changed and he suddenly started to freak out, walking away from you as quickly as he could. when your thoughts of why he left in a hurry died down, your lips felt freezing, like you had licked a frozen pole. no matter how hard you tried, you couldn't get him off your mind- not that you wanted to.
you hoped you could find him the next day, but you didn't, he didn't seem to be there for the next few weeks. you felt horrible, like you were the reason that he left. the smarter part of you believed that you really weren't, but something told you that, yes, you were.
jasper sat on the chair, remembering everything you two did together. you lost your virginity to him, you went on your first date together, in fact he was your first boyfriend. all of your firsts were with him, he was horribly upset to see you go, but he also knew you had enjoyed your life, that you had truly lived.
you looked him straight in the eyes, heart beating out of your chest, you knew he could feel your nervousness. you two were sat at a small diner in a small town just north of forks, celebrating your 3 year anniversary. you had barely spoken a word to him- to scared to say anything and worried that you'd mess up asking him.
"darlin-"
"marry me."
"what?" he sat up.
"please baby, i'm dying and i want to get married."
"are you sure?"
"never been more sure of anything in my life."
and just like that, you two were engaged. the following two days after that you guys had gone everywhere to find rings that would fit for you, but nothing had seemed to work yet.
that was last week, you were planning on getting married in the next year, but life had other plans. he was going to take you around the world to let you see everything that you had dreamed of seeing. it broke him knowing that all of these places would never feel your perfect touch. they would never know what it's like to be felt by an angel.
thinking of all of those important memories, he also thought of your first fight.
the door slammed in your face, "what the fuck?!"
"what, y/n? is there a problem," the tall boy screamed back.
"get off the door and let me in! we can't just not talk about this!"
"can't talk about what? the way you were all over sam?"
"are you serious right now, jasper? i have told you so many times- even before we started dating that i had no interest in him! and if you want to be that way, what about alice? hmm? rosalie told me that you two used to be a thing until she found her soulmate! i am not dumb, i still see the way you two look at each other!" you started to cry.
softly, he opened the door, "oh, baby, i'm so sorry. i really am," his voice was gentle and quiet, you almost didn't hear it, "i promise i don't like her. i just see how she's happy and i want that- with you."
"i want it with you, too, but you have to trust me."
"i do, i promise i do. i guess it all just goes back to maria," he sighed.
you grabbed his face, giving his lips a peck, "i'm sorry, my love."
he got pulled back into reality when he heard your heart monitor flat lining.
'this can't be happening!' he thought, 'not yet." he wasn't done with you, he wasn't ready to give up. he rushed to the hospital room door and locked it, then pushed the dresser in front of it. he knew that you didn't want to be turned, but he couldn't be without you. so he went back to you and bit you. everywhere he could- like he had seen edward do with bella. the doctors started banging on the door, yelling to be let in. jasper opened the door then rushed out of the room with you in his hands before anyone could see anything.
he took you back to his house. angry with himself for leaving carlisle to deal with angry and confused doctors and himself to deal with you in the afterlife.
about a week later, you had finally woken up. all of your senses heightened by 10. there were more colors, more sounds, and smells that you had never experienced before.
"am i in heaven?" you wondered aloud.
"no, y/n/n, i am afraid you’re in the cullen house," carlisle smiled.
"which is close enough to it!" emmett boomed. you winced.
"hey! watch it, she's still getting used to everything," jasper seethed.
you sat up, "jasper! you promised not to change me! what the hell?"
rosalie chuckled, "you should probably start running, after all, she is new and could easily get you."
you stared holes through his head, "i'll give you 20 seconds. go." and just like that, he was sprinting out the door.

jasper hale x reader
Tumblr media
u guys go window shopping !!
Tumblr media
✿ you and jasper were walking through the bustling streets of port angeles, arms linked.
✿ there weren’t many shops in forks - of course you nonetheless appreciated the ones that were there -
✿ but you and jasper still decided on going over to port instead because it was just more interesting!
✿ everytime you’d pass a shop with cute clothes you’d stick your hand out and point at the mannequins like a child at a zoo
✿ “jazz! isnt that top with the ruffle trim so cute?” you’d query
✿ jasper would nod smiling at you, anything you were intrested in - jasper was always intrested in as well
✿ “do you think it’d look good on me?” you thought aloud.
✿ “of course, sugar” although jasper already knew you looked good in everything AND anything
✿ you smiled at him shyly in responce
✿ you guys continued walking,
✿ but you abruptly came to a halt once you saw it.
✿ the whale bookstore 📚
✿ your entire face lit up !!
✿ “oh my god japser i have to go in I HAVE TO THEY HAV-“
✿ “Y/N!! YOU ALREADY HAVE 40 BOOKS THAT YOU HAVEN’T YET READ SITTING IN YOUR BAG.”
✿ jasper would physically try to stop you from going in and buying even more books than you already owned, and albeit him being a vampire it was a hard task.
✿ of course you ended up going in ( the power of persuasion is very useful! ) but you came out with only one book as per jaspers request, you both seemed satisfied with this
✿ as you walked out of the store you opened the book to the authors note; “wow did you know jane austen was born in 1775?“
✿ “she could be edwards long-lost sister!”
✿ you got a laugh out of jasper with that line.
✿ jaspers eyes quickly skimmed the streets before they landed on a coffee stand as he absentmindedly replied “hes so old.” he then grabbed your arm guiding you to the coffee stand.
✿ “oh yeah and you arent right? mr im 75 years young” you joked as jasper rolled his eyes
✿ suddenly you took notice of where you guys were as jasper abruptly stopped infront of the counter to this coffee stand.
✿ “jas?“ you chuckled as you eyed the stands sign “you dont even drink-“
✿ “hi! what can i get you?” the coffee worker interrupted in a polite voice
✿ “hi, one iced matcha latte please.”
✿ omfg…? that was your order !?!?
✿ “$5.99”
✿ jasper handed the worker a $10 note as the worker handed him the cold drink “keep the change.”
✿ although japser considered what he had just done a small gesture your heart was HELLA THUMPING
✿ “you didnt need to do that” you said, heartfelt
✿ “yes i did, besides it really fascinates me to watch how you can drink something so green”
✿ you rolled your eyes giggling as you swiftly kissed him in gratitude.
✿ as you guys continued to walk on you saw one of those miscellaneous dress up stores that would sell costumes.
✿ you saw a cowboy costume on display on a mannequin and immediately nudged jasper in the ribs notifying him while snickering.
✿ “you should get that, you’d totally rock it” you joked
✿ jaspers face was in genuine shock as he saw it. “ i need that. i-“
✿ and this time it was YOU who was trying to physically stop jasper from going inside and buying that cowboy costume.
✿ of course - since jasper was the vampire here it made your task very hard.
✿ in the end you obviously didn’t have enough physical strength and jasper went in. he walked out with thankfully not the entire outfit but with just a cowboy hat.
✿ jasper put on the hat and struck you with a side smirk “how do i look darlin’” with an over-exaggeration of his southern accent.
✿ you bursted into a fit of laughter. “it suits you!”
✿ he wore it the rest of the trip home making you giggle from time to time and making you two look very questionable to the cullen family as you guys arrived home.

pairing: jasper hale x reader
word count: ~2.1k, unedited excuse the over usage of commas and all other mistakes, I’m trying something kind of new with my writing sooo without further ado, enjoy!
summary: When the Cullens move to Forks, Y/N knows that something isn’t right about the Cullen family. As they investigate further into the mystery that surrounds the family, they wind up finding out more than what they were looking for. Meanwhile, Jasper struggles with the fact that his mate is human.
part i | part ii (to be posted)
Tumblr media
Working at the front office had its perks, like having access to school files and being able to hear all the latest news, well more really, gossip from the office workers. Which was how you knew Forks was about to receive several new students all courtesy of the brand new Dr. Cullen; who had all the office workers willing to risk it all. Apparently, he was young but had adopted several teenagers after their family had passed away. Taking advantage of the office workers chattering about the Cullens, you searched through their schedules trying to see who you would end up having in class. Midway through your mini inquiry, the office door swung open and the family of the hour entered.
They all wore a variant of white and you couldn’t help but wonder if they had coordinated that morning. You handed each of the new students their schedules, each of them politely greeting you, their golden eyes shone brightly under the florescent lights. It was the last one who gave you an odd vibe. He looked like he was in pain, his hair was wild, sticking out in odd directions and he kept staring at you. His stare was broken by the shortest one, who pulled him down and whispered in his ear. You couldn’t hear what she said but it had a visible effect on him, his shoulders dropped.
He stuck his hand out at you, “Jasper Hale.”
You couldn’t help but feel tense, there was something about the new students that just didn’t sit right. But as soon as the feeling came you felt oddly calm and relaxed. Taking his hand you offered a small smile, “YN.”
Two things stuck out to you: how cold his hand was and his accent. You wondered what type of accent it was, you knew it was southern but you couldn’t quite nail the state. Alice broke you out of your thoughts, “YN, do you mind walking us to class?”
“No problem at all! I actually think I have next period with you and Jasper,” you replied. She clapped her hands before taking your arm and dragging you out of the office. You hid your surprise with a laugh, before leading the Cullens to their respective classes. Jasper was right behind you as Rosalie, Edward and Emmett trailed behind engrossed in their conversation. Alice who still had a grip on your arm, pulled you even closer to her, “If you aren’t busy this weekend YN, you should show us around Forks and Port Angeles.”
“Alice,” Jasper said firmly. There was an unspoken conversation as the two looked at each other.
“Relax, it will be fine. So what do you say, this Saturday?” Alice excitedly continued.
Running a hand through your hair, you let out a breath, “Of course. It would be my pleasure, though I will give you a fair warning, there isn’t much to see.”
“We are more interested in the company anyhow,” he drawled out. You could feel a slight blush at his words, before you could control yourself you blurted out, “I love your accent. It is uh- very soothing.” Mentally you chastised yourself, you hadn’t even known them for a full five minutes and you were already a twitterpated mess.
He smirked, “Texas, ma’am.” The accent was even more obvious.
You waved your hand in front of the classroom door, “Well this is it. I will see you next period, cowboy.”
You had seen the Cullens throughout the day, they were the only thing the school talked about and you couldn’t blame them. It was the most exciting thing to happen in Forks since sliced bread. By lunchtime, the whispering that surrounded the new arrivals was beginning to pique your interest even more. The rumors ranged from plausible to just outright ridiculous: your favorite one being where Dr. Cullen was secretly running a cult.
“So Nancy Drew, know anything about the new kids?” Lauren asked before you even set your food down on the table.
You threw one of your french fries at her, “Sheesh, let the new kids breath a little won’t you? And to answer your question, they seem perfectly nice, if not a bit odd but nice.”
“Really? They’ve been giving everyone the cold shoulder, not that I care. As if they are anything special,” Jessica added.
“I’m going to shoot my shot with the blonde one,” Tyler huffed.
Stifling a laugh you replied, “Please, the day you have a chance with Rosalie is when I meet the Beatles.”
When they entered the cafeteria you again thought they had to have coordinated. Locking eyes with you Alice waved, you glanced to the side of her and were met with Jasper’s stare. It was odd how he made you feel butterflies in your stomach while also unnerving you. You nodded to Rosalie and Emmett, while Edward only narrowed his eyes at you.
Throughout the rest of the day, you couldn’t shake the nagging feeling of someone watching you. It was a constant and kept you on edge. The same gut feeling from earlier came back full force, you didn’t shake it off this time.
**
The rest of the week the same feeling of being watched stayed with you, even at home you felt it.  You had woken up several times throughout the night and saw those distinctive golden eyes. You had chalked it off as nightmares or even sleep paralysis but when you started finding items in places you hadn’t left them before your suspicion grew.
Alice and Jasper had taken to you relatively fast, they often hung around you and made sure to greet you every morning. You couldn’t quite figure out what was the deal with Jasper, he switched between looking at you as if you had just shoved his favorite pet off of a building and like you were the only thing that mattered.
You would find him waiting for you outside the office every day, “Here let me,” he would say as he took the textbooks from your hand. As you walked together to your next class he broke the silence, “What is your favorite subject?”
You hesitated for a second before you started rambling, “History. I love the post-world war II era. Oh and the culture of the 1960s, great music.”
He gave you one of his smirks, “Really? I love history as well. Although, I am much fonder of the antebellum period.”
**
It was almost 2 weeks since the Cullens arrived in Forks, they continued to be the talk of the school. They certainly continued to be the only thing Jessica and Lauren discussed during lunch. Their constant digs at you for being the only person to break into their tight-knit circle were starting to get on your nerves.
“I need a new lease for my camera, do any of you want to go with me to Port Angeles after school?” Angela interrupted Jessica’s ire towards you. If it wasn’t for Angela you didn’t know how you would’ve survived the two.
“I will! I need to make a quick stop at my dad’s office to pick up some files. He wants me to help with one of his cases.” You eagerly replied, you were dreading the drive to Port Angeles and now you would at least have some company. Your Father was a private investigator and you had often helped him with his cases and around the office. He had taught you everything you knew, from being observant to never doubt your gut feelings. As you grew older you started to get more hands-on with the investigations; stakeouts and learning how to take the money shots. You enjoyed helping him out, the disappearances and bigger cases were all puzzles that were waiting to be solved. All of that for better or for worse had bled into your high school days, it wasn’t like any of your snooping was hurting anyone.
“Ooo do tell. What’s the spicy drama this time?” Lauren leaned forward.
“I can’t really say much but it is the typical money shot case. Infidelity and whatnot, the usual, it will probably eat up my weekend,” you replied, not wanting to give too much information.
**
As everyone scattered to get to class, Jasper brought you to the side of the hallway. “What’s this I hear about you tailing someone?” Jasper questioned.
“How did you hear? But yes, I’m doing some lightweight work for my Dad,” you answered wondering how he could have heard about your upcoming job.
“You’re not going. I don’t want you to put yourself in danger.” He scolded. You couldn’t help the flare of annoyance.
“Well, news flash for you. You’re not the boss of me, you have no right telling me what to do. I’ve been doing this a lot longer than you think. Who do you even think you are?” You snapped.
His once golden eyes were almost black, he looked like a completely different person. He grabbed your bicep as you turned to leave, you squirmed under his grip, “Let go of me.”
Before you could even blink Emmett and Edward were pulling Jasper off of you. There was an almost animalistic snarl from Jasper as they dragged him out of the school.
Alice was by your side and started leading you away, “He’s just hungry, low blood sugar.” Alice reassured you. You wanted to believe it but the way that he reacted there was something more.
“You have to be kidding me. There is no excuse for the way he was acting. Just stay away from me.” You pulled away harshly from her grip. She put her hands up, “I know and I’m sorry. You will understand everything soon, YN. Just please,” you didn’t hear the rest of what she was saying as you ran to your car.
**
You sat in one of your father’s car, it was nondescript, which made it perfect for your stakeout tonight. He was currently out by the border trying to catch a bounty, leaving you to get the cheating husband.
Going on this stakeout was a much-needed distraction from the happenings of today, but it was also served as time to review everything that had happened. You dwelled in your thoughts, while you waited for the husband to leave his work and head towards the mistress.
Thinking back to your uneasiness you realized that it had all started when the Cullens arrived. Was it just a coincidence or was it something more? The Cullens seemed too perfect for you, there was something not right about their story. The good Doctor Cullen seemed too young to be so well respected and not to mention all of his adopted children sharing the same distinctive eye color and skin complexion. They had to be hiding something, you made a note in of the journals you always carried with you to look into their card statements and where they had previously lived.
You were broken out of your thoughts when you saw that the husband had finally gotten into his car and was heading out. Making sure to stay a decent length away as to not create suspicion you followed him all the way to a sleazy motel on the outskirts of Port Angeles.
Taking out your camera you started taking pictures of him exiting his car and making his way towards the motel room. The door swung open before he even touched the handle revealing a young woman, she pulled him in. In their passion, they had forgotten to close the curtain fully allowing you to take enough pictures for the husband's wife to make her case. It was too easy.
Returning back to your father’s office you decided to stay instead of making the drive all the way back to Forks. You printed out the pictures, having everything ready for when the wife would come in tomorrow. Not feeling tired at all you decided to get a head start and begin looking into the Cullens.
One of the best parts of being a private investigator, well having your father be one, was having access to websites that made tracking anyone down easy not to mention digging up dirt. The records of their previous schools all said the same thing: excellent students, kept to themselves, etc. Even Doctor Cullen’s past employments praised him.
There was nothing off about their paperwork, the adoption papers, not even their credit card statements revealed anything, except that Alice apparently had a shopping problem. You stared at the screen wondering what they were hiding. It was all just too good to be true.
You ended up falling asleep on the pullout sofa, all the while Jasper’s golden eyes plagued your thoughts. For the first time in weeks, you didn’t have the feeling that someone was watching you.

Sibling Intervention (Jasper Hale x Reader) w/Brother! Emmett
Plot: “Hi I really liked your Jasper imagine so can you do another one where you're his newborn mate, and the wolf pack are coming over to help train and him and Emmett get protective over you? Like the whole "I'm your big brother and I'm supposed to keep you away from the mutts" kinda thing lol. Thank uuuu” (requested)
Word Count: 1,275
Warnings: I think some swearing, but other than that, none.
A/N: this was really fun to make, I’m actually kinda proud if this one! Thanks to the anon that requested this! I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
I was standing next to Jasper who was grabbing my hand and squeezing it at times to reassure me and I knew that he was trying to calm me down and it was working perfectly as I was no longer nervous or afraid.
“Well, Jasper has experience in newborns, he will teach us how to defeat them” Carlisle’s calm voice sounded through the forest, he was standing a little bit further than us facing the wolves who just came.
Silence surrounded us once again but Edward’s voice filled the empty space quickly.
“They want to know how a newborn is different than us”
Carlisle turned a little and looked at me smiling a little like if he was asking if it was okay to introduce me, I just nodded.
“Well, we happen to have one with us today” He positioned himself next to me and place a hand on my shoulder “This is (Y/N), she is Jasper’s mate, our newest member of the family, hence why her eyes are different from us but don’t worry, she is transitioning and will be just like us soon”
“They still want to know the difference, they say she looks just like us” I wasn’t even looking but I knew that Emmett was grinning on his spot; he was the one that enjoyed the most me being a newborn and having my strength.
Carlisle looked at Jasper and motioned him to continue speaking while he left to go back next to Esme; Jasper nodded and moved a little closer but still holding my hand.
“She is stronger than us; her blood is still on her tissues making her more physically powerful. Our kind is stronger on our first several months of this life, that’s why they are created” he looked at me and gave me a side smile “not in her case though” he looked again at the wolves “a newborn army doesn’t need thousands like a human army, that’s why no human army could stand against them”
The black wolf that was standing right in from of me growled, his eyes never leaving mine. Jasper noticed that so he moved to a side pushing me slightly backward but I was still close to him.
“There are two important things that you have to remember” he raised his voice a bit “First, never let them get their arms around you, they will crush you in a second” he looked around giving a warning look to our family but turned back to see the wolves “and never go for the obvious kill, they will be expecting that and you’ll lose”
He quickly turned and grabbed my hand again but left me next to Edward as he kept walking forward to the center of the forest.
“Emmett” he simply called and in a second Emmett was standing a couple of meters away from him but still facing Jasper. “Don’t hold back”
“Not in my nature” he said and grinned at Jasper before launching himself onto him but in a couple of seconds, Emmett was lying on the floor, his face facing the sky.
“Never lose focus” he cockily said while moving aside from him and coming to my side to snake his arm on my waist and pulled me closer to him. “Prepare yourself, babe, you are next”
I only smiled in anticipation, I loved wrestling, I became one of my favorite hobbies once I turned, and it just was really fun for me. Even though I knew he wasn’t completely okay with the fact that I was fighting today it was just to train, I knew he wouldn’t let me participate when the actual fight took place, so I just wanted to have fun.
Edward and Carlisle were fighting intensely, neither of them backing off; Jasper let go of me and started walking around them inspecting every movement, but at the end, Edward was the clear winner and turned to see Jasper.
“One more thing” he said and in an instant Carlisle grabbed Edward and pushed him onto the ground and I couldn’t help but laugh at this. “Never turn your back on the enemy”
Jasper made his way to the center and spoke to everyone once again.
“Okay, so now that we got the basics covered, it’s time for a real newborn to step in” He said and turned his head to look at me, giving me a cocky smile which I returned with a huge grin. I knew this was going to be extremely easy for me, but anyway it was fun. I made my way next to him, and he cupped my face with one hand and looked at me profoundly before walking away next to the rest of the family.
I turned and looked at Rosalie, bringing my hand up and pointing my fingers at her I motioned her to come with me, she slowly made her way towards me with her arms crossed against her chest.
Once she was close enough I nodded and she quickly threw two punches at me which I easily dodged them taking my opportunity to grab her arm and twisted it forcing her body to twist as well but she felt to the ground crouching in one leg and tried to make me fall with the leg that was stretched but I jumped before it could even touch me, and before my feet touched the ground I pushed my hand over her chest making her fall flat on the ground, making a small crater when she hit the ground.
“You can’t still beat me, Rose” I laughed at her while she was standing up, she just gave me a ‘fuck off’  look and made her way back to her spot.
“Emmett, your turn” Jasper called out and in a quick second I had Emmett in front of my with a shit eating grin that made me laugh.
“Please don’t you dare to hold back, big boy” I purred to him tilting my head a little. He cracked his neck just to show off but his face changed almost immediately making me furrow my eyebrows together.
“Wait a minute” he said raising a hand like stopping everything and stared into nothing as if he was thinking to himself “I’m your big brother (YN)” he suddenly stated and I couldn’t be more confused.
“Well, yeah…” I trailed off, not really sure where he was trying to say.
“I’m not supposed to encourage you into fighting, even less with the mutts” he spat and looked at me with a serious face “Goddammit, I’m your big brother!” he stated again but now shouting and I looked at the rest of the clan but they all had the same face, they were staring at Emmett with a confused grin like I was. “We are done, missy, you are going home”
In less than a second, I was thrown into his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and he was walking away from everyone.
“Wait, what the actual fuck, put me down!” I tried to wiggle out but even if I was stronger this position didn’t help me at all, and all I could do was to give up and just look back where Carlisle was standing next to Jasper shouting to Emmett.
“Emmett, bring her back, we need her!” Carlisle shouted at us.
“Sorry, I can’t hear you!” and with that, he started running with me on his back.
“We are going to be siblings, you said, it will be so fun, you said” I said but the only response that I had from him was a loud laugh; I sighed, I give up.

SILLY TRADITIONS | J.H.
pairing: jasper hale x fem!reader
word count: 1k
warnings: reader is a vampire for thirsty boy's sanity
summary: surprising jasper with a cake you baked to celebrate his birthday
Tumblr media
“You’re excited,” Jasper noted with a half-smirk, taking a habitual deep breath when he felt your fingers ghosting over his neck, cold hands covering his eyes as you giggled lightly. He didn’t need to use his gift to know you were excited, even without it he would be able to see it ooze out of you, practically sweeping through the school hallway as you guided him towards your locker and he was ever willing to go wherever you wanted to take him, no questions asked.
Jasper was the perfect gentleman, that was to be expected from the moment you met him, he’d go out of his way to make every moment together special and memorable, and you’d considered yourself unfairly lucky to have found someone willing to go to the ends of the earth for merely a happy smile in return. He was, however, incredibly difficult to spoil in return, not only because his gift always left him ten feet ahead of you but because he needed very little from you to be spoiled, in fact, he considered your happiness a gift in itself, one he’d never get tired of receiving. But you were determined to surprise him, to give him something special, however simple, or silly the gesture may seem to the vampire, you wanted him to have a day where he could be sure of endless treats and special gestures.
“I am,” you agreed, smile deepening when he scoffed lightly at your behaviour, reaching a hand backwards to be able to touch you, settling for briefly brushing his fingers over your thigh before giving in to your delicate manhandling as you stopped in front of your locker. “Keep them closed,” you commanded, having to take your hands away to put in the combination, giving him a threatening glare despite his lack of sight.
“Yes ma’am,” he teased, and you simply had to steal that cocky little smirk from his lips with a quick peck, taking him by surprise but he didn’t mind, hell he’d have to be insane to mind that, or so he told you whenever he got the chance.
“Okay, so,” you began and when the metal door creaked open, Jasper received a rather lovely whiff of the surprise you were so eager to show him and his curiosity only grew, knowing that it was a rather senseless gift to give vampire, even more senseless to be given by a vampire, but he’d happily humour you. “I was talking to Carlisle yesterday, just about this and that and he let a little something slip,” you explained and with careful movements you reached into the locker to pull out the little vanilla cake you’d spent all morning baking, smiling as the little cuts of fruit and strings of flowers laid so perfectly in the river of white buttercream. “He said that it was your birthday today,” you breathed shyly, and it was that little breath that told him to open his eyes, golden orbs raking over the pastry in your hand as you tried not to let him feel your nerves.
“You baked me a cake,” he noted in somewhat disbelieve, shifting his gaze between your hands and your face, not yet sure how to react, but knowing that this obviously meant more to you than it did to him and that alone was enough to make his decision clear.
“I know it’s stupid. I mean you probably haven’t celebrated that in decades and what on earth are we going to do with a cake, we can’t exactly eat it and- “you stopped yourself, sensing a new rush of calmness flowing through your nerves, curtesy of your mate, no doubt, but you didn’t say a thing, just smiled up at him. “It’s a silly tradition, but if I could get at least one day where I could make you feel as special and as loved as you make me feel every day, then I’d take any excuse I can get.”
You weren’t sure what you were expecting as a reply, knowing that Jasper wasn’t a man all that fond of grand gestures on his behalf, but you were pleasantly surprised when he brushed a finger over the plate, plopping said finger covered with buttercream in his mouth and smiling crookedly.
“Delicious,” he breathed, and you giggled again, the exact sound he’d hoped for when he decided to risk a rather questionable reaction to eating human food, but it would be worth it, anything would be worth it for that brilliant sound. “And gorgeous, might I add, certainly has your touch to it,” he continued, and with an action so smooth and so quick he had the cake placed back in your locker and his arms wrapped tightly around your waist.
“You don’t think it’s silly?”
“Not at all,” he insisted almost instantly, shamelessly dragging his eyes over your face, stilling on every little detail he deemed noteworthy before settling almost hesitantly on your own eyes. “I believe that it’s one of the best things I’ve ever received,” he admitted, and you could swear your dead heart skipped a beat, not at all as unlikely as it seemed with him holding you this close without a single care for who might see.
“Happy Birthday,” you whispered in faux secrecy, cupping his cheeks in your palms as you allowed him to push you gently against the lockers. “I love you more than any action could show you,” you informed him, stealing another brisk kiss, hoping it would prompt him to commit a robbery of his own.
“I know, darling,” he leaned in, not that there was much room to do so but he would always try, and you’d always be ecstatic when he did. “You don’t have to show me,” he explained and brushed his nose against yours. “You don’t even have to say it,” he breathed, and you were stuck at an impasse- wanting to beg him to hurry up and kiss you while also desperately wanting to hear what he had to say, knowing that it would put your entire notion to shame. “Because I feel it,” he concluded and when his lips finally danced with yours you understood completely what he meant because every ragged breath and every addicting taste felt like little remnants of love melting into your lost soul.

Love you more (Leah Clearwater X Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wc: 1219
Warnings: a tiny bit of angst
A/n: This request from a hot minute ago but I’m glad I finally finished it.
Masterlist
Snow was finally starting to stick in Forks. The weather quickly changed from fall into a deep winter storm. Trees started turning a deep autumn orange and leaves fluttered to the ground as they did every year. Stores were now stocked with pumpkin spice scents and bulky winter coats. You adored this time of year because it meant spending more time with the pack and your best friend/ secret crush Leah.
You spent pretty much everyday with Leah, you met when you were little kids and you’ve been inseparable ever since. You were there when she fell for Sam and you were there for the downfall of their relationship. You picked up the pieces of Leahs’ shattered heart and pieced her back together again. You held her when she cried and felt empty but eventually you started to fall for the broken girl. Sitting around waiting for her to realize that you were right there hurt deeply. Her tiny disappointed glances toward Sam and Emily always made your heart hurt but she was your best friend first and it was your job to be by her side even if it cost your sanity.
You sat in Emilys’ house on the couch watching the fireplace crackle and snap. You pressed your back deeply into the couch for more comfort and waited for the snow flurries to start again. Leah sat right next to you burning holes in both Emily and Sams’ heads’. You rolled your eyes and shifted away from her. The pack sat in a comfortable silence and rested for the first time in months. Occasionally Sam would scowl at Leah and the others would look down at their feet not wanting to get into another one of Leah and Sams arguments. The tension in that room was thicker than cheesecake and you just wanted to escape. Finally someone spoke up.
“Guys cut it out, we’re just trying to have a nice evening,” Jacobs voice boomed and caught everyone's attention. You knew this was coming eventually but you didn’t think Jacob would be the one  to say anything usually he was so quiet, always lost in his own thoughts to be concerned with others.
“Oh fuck off Jacob, it’s gross and no one wants to see them act like that.” Leah shot daggers at Sam and Emily with her eyes.
“Leah can you please stop, I understand but you don’t have to treat them that way,” Jacob had a hint of sadness to his plea but he tried to disregard it. You wrapped your hands around your stomach and tried your best to disappear.
Emilys’ comfortable smile  faded as Leah spoke and now was replaced with a look of pity. Emily didn’t look at Leah but she looked right in your eyes and you could tell that she felt bad for you. Emily was usually kind and caring but you’d never been that close with her and that tiny gesture of kindness changed your outlook on her. Sam on the other hand had veins popping out of his head, his eyes narrowed on Leah but Emily grabbed his hand and pulled him away into the kitchen. Leah cursed more at Jacob and you were fed up.
You stood up and walked right out the door not even looking back to see if it was closed. You walked fast toward the beach  and tried to ignore the voice behind you.
“Y/n, Y/n wait please! I’m sorry I didn’t mean to get that upset they were just really bugging me tonight, I’m sorry come back please.” Leah shouted from the front door but it was too late. Tears were streaming down your face and you couldn’t turn back to face her.
Inside the house, the pack sat uncomfortably as Leah walked through the door.
“Leah, how could you let her walk away like that, don’t you see the way she looks at you everyday. Do you not realize all the things she’s done for you and sacrificed for you. She sits here everyday and listens to you bitch about Sam and Emily  but you never even ask her if she’s okay. Stop worrying about them and go find her before it's too late.”
Jacobs' words rattled inside Leahs head, she thought about all the times she cried to you about Sam and Emily and all the times you immediately dropped what you were doing just to go help her. Guilt washed over her body like a wave. A single tear danced down Leahs’ face and she raced out the door to find you.
You sat on the snow covered beach wishing you could be washed away. The wind chilled the tears that rested on your face and they soon became a memory. You wrapped your arms around your broken heart and thought about how things could be different if Leah just saw you.
Soon you heard hefty breaths heaving behind you. Slowly but surely catching up to you.
“Hey Y/n, Uh can we please talk?” Leahs’ soft gaze wrapped around you. She sat down next to you and sighed. You both stared at the empty water. It was crisp and clean, almost giving off the impression that it was untouched by man.
“What is there to talk about Leah,” you struck her with a cold gaze hoping that she’d understand that you weren’t very pleased to see her at the moment. Instead of returning the favor Leah grabbed your hand and stared deeply into your soul.
“I know I’m always wasting time thinking about  Sam and being hostile toward them but lately that’s the only thing I know how to do. Almost everything I’ve even known has been ripped away from me and I just don’t know how to keep going. I’m sorry for overlooking you and drowning you with my own issues but you’re all I have left. I think I spend time thinking about Sam and Emily so I don’t have to face how I feel about you. I love you and I’m scared that if I let you in you’ll let me go because you’ll see the monster that I truly am,” by now tears streaked down Leahs’ face. You looked in her eyes and saw all the pain she’d been trying to hide away. The brave, fierce Leah that you usually saw was gone. This girl was crumbling to pieces right in front of you.
You didn’t know what to do other than kiss her. You wanted to take all the pain that rested in her heart away. You wanted to wake up twisted in the sheets with her. You wanted to see her smile and laugh at your sarcastic jokes You wanted the good, bad, and ugly. You wanted her. Always.
When you kissed her your bodies lit up in flames. It felt like every worry you ever had faded away. The world stopped just for a second and let you both have that moment. Euphoria washed over your bodies and gravity ceased to exist.
When you opened your eyes all you could see was your forever. You loved that woman so damn much and you knew that you would spend the rest of your lives together, but your thoughts interrupted when Leah spoke softly.
“Y/n I think I just imprinted on you.”

Marry You (Jasper Hale x Reader) one shot
Tumblr media
Prompt: when you miss me, look up at the sky
Wc: 822
Pairing: Jasper Hale x Reader
Masterlist
The sky fell from a bright blue to the darkest shade of midnight. Fairy lights shined from the tops of compact vintage shops. The streets smelled of freshly brewed coffee and damp dreary rain. Your feet clattered against the sidewalks that belonged to Port Angeles. You had spent the day exploring tiny thrift shops and hidden tea rooms trying to keep your head busy from thoughts of the Volturi and the fact that the people you loved were risking their lives. Bags dangled from your arms and weighed down your tired body. Your car wasn’t too far but the journey was still treacherous. The soles of your feet screamed in agony. Your walking pace slowed inevitably.
When you finally reached your truck you rested your hand against the door for support. You were exhausted, not even a huge coffee could keep you up long enough. Sleepless nights tainted your days and marked your nights like a dark wine stain. No matter how long you laid in bed and crashed your eyes together you couldn’t sleep. Your house didn’t feel like home and ever since you moved to Forks you haven’t had an ounce of peaceful sleep.
You climbed into your truck and slammed your door. Your body melted into your seat. You pressed your head against the chair and exhaled a weary breath. You reached for your keys in your bag and suddenly you felt a gust of wind flow through your car.
“You know you should really lock your doors, it's not safe out here little lady,” A blonde haired body appeared in your passenger.
The body belonged to your boyfriend Jasper. A light smile danced across your face. You reached over and connected your lips with his. Cozy warmth flooded your veins, your heart beat fastened and blood heated your face with a powerful force. His lips melted into yours like a perfect puzzle.
You broke apart and stared into his golden eyes for eternity.
“I missed you so much babe, I’m so glad you’re safe,” the confession slipped from your lips and a smile graced your face.
“I missed you too, I’m so sorry I had to leave,” a look of disappointment and sadness marked Jaspers’ face.  His eyes curled at the ends and mirrored his internal pain.
“Hey don’t even think of doing that thing where you blame yourself for doing what’s right, I hate when you do that! You did what you had to do, I understand why you pushed me away. You were only trying to protect me, I missed you and I know you missed me but when you miss me, look at the stars,” your chest heaved with pain, though you understood the situation, your speech still burned your throat.
When Jasper pulled an Edward on you it ruined you. Part of you still didn’t want to forgive him for leaving you behind, but he was alive and you were alive and maybe if he hadn’t pushed you away it wouldn’t be that way.
“I know that what I did was to protect you but still I shouldn’t have up and left you like that, it wasn’t right but I was scared, so fucking scared Y/n,” a soft sob left his body. Tears streamed down his face in zigzag formations and dripped down his chin. You both pressed your heads together and sat in silence.
By now the sky was black, stars shined so brightly against the milky darkness. Owls hooted and dove swiftly into dark monstrous trees.
“You’re all I need, I love you so much Y/n I want you forever. Our time apart truly made me realize that I can’t exist without you, I know that the tready is at stake if I turn you but you’re worth it, you’re worth it all. I’d die for you and I know you’d do the same, I value every glance I take upon your skin and I’d love to do that forever so please marry me.”
A tiny blue velvet box popped out into sight. Jasper carefully opened the box and inside rested a  twinkling ring that frosted like a snowflake. The diamond sent sparkles around your car and nearly blinded you with the tiniest glance.
Tears washed your face and your eyes shot open with disbelief. Blood rushed your face and gave your skin a tingling sensation. Your head started to slightly pulsate and you became aware of almost everything around you. An eternity passed before you opened your mouth.
Jasper felt the powerhouse that was encapsulated inside your body and became shocked himself.
“I’d love to!” you clasped your hands around Jaspers’ icy face and gave him a long passionate kiss that represented all the love you had in your heart.
Jasper removed the ring from the box and placed it on your finger. That final act solidified your future together and all the greatness that would come from your new life.

Leave (Rosalie Hale x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
Takes place during Breaking Dawn
A/n: I love this story so much! Let me know if you want a part 2! Alsooo I’m going to be writing more wlw fan fiction so stick around for that!!!
Warnings: Language, Angst,
Based on: Habibi by Tamino
Habibi: Habibi is an Arabic word that means “my love” (sometimes also translated as “my dear,” “my darling,” or “beloved.”)
Something hides in every night
Brings desire from the deep
And with it comes a burning light
To keep us from our sleep
Snow started sticking to the ground in Forks. The street light that rested at the end of your driveway flicked from deep orange to midnight black. The air was colder than your girlfriends’ skin in winter. You sat in your windowsil looking at the snow slowly packing your front yard. With every inch your heart sank deeper and deeper knowing that the Volturi were coming and you had no way to help stop them.
Habibi, light is burning
As I am burning
Habibi, light is burning
As I am yearning
You met Rosalie Hale by accident one day when you hit her car in the Forks highschool parking lot. Neither of you paid very much attention to eachother till you met her fury the day you hit her car. She stared into your eyes as if they were going to be the last ones you would see. You apologized profusely and she just met you with a snarl. You felt guilty but also kinda pissed off because she stood there not saying anything. No doubt she was attractive but she was also cold.
Something died within a soul
Left the eyes to rust
And every time it is recalled
It covers all in dust
Your heart ached. Your head felt like it had been run over. Your stomach felt like a bottomless pit begging to be put out of its misery. It was 2:56am the sky was the deepest blue with few stars speckled in the moonlight. All you could do was sit and watch the snow fall all over itself. Your mind was cluttered with thoughts of her, her touch, her smile, and her eyes.
And meanwhile, a whole lot goes down
Somewhere in the darkness, us together for a while
You loved it then, so did I
A feeling deep inside you wants to love it all again
You were so scared to lose her. You couldn’t imagine living another day without her. Tears seeped out of your eyes and fell desperately to your shirt. Breathing became a chore and your eyes grew heavier.
A gentle kiss was placed on your forehead and your eyes shot open. You stared at her with millions of emotions. Anger, hate, and panic sprang out of your chest and filled the room.
“So that was my goodbye,” you spat hatefully at Rosalie.
“I’m sorry Y/n, I’m so sorry,” she looked in your eyes with a regretful glance.
“You’re not sorry, If you were sorry you wouldn’t leave,”
“You know that’s not how it works Y/n, I’m not doing this because I don’t love you, I have to save my family,” she cried desperately.
“Oh thats fucking rich, family huh. WHAT ABOUT ME? I’m supposed to be your family,” tears parted down your cheeks again and your voice started to crack like ice.
“Don’t do this Y/n, don’t you dare!” rage sang a angry song in your girlfriends’ eyes.
“How can I not, four fucking years you called me your family, you called me the love of your life yet you’re leaving me,”
“Y/n do you think I enjoy having to protect some super baby that wasn’t supposed to be born, HELL NO! But I am. I have to they’re my family too,”
“What about Alice and Jasper they’re family right but the up and left you like a bag of dirt, so much for family right,”
“Look I get that they left but I’m not about to abandon my family for you!” Her words cut so deep in your heart that you now had two of them. By now your face was flooded with tears. Sobs left your throat and stuck pains in your stomach. Your whole body felt numb like it couldn’t move an inch but internally you were undergoing war.
“Baby, baby I- I didnt mean that, Oh my- I’m so sorry I really didn’t mean that. I was just angry, I’m so sorry,” Rosalie reached forward trying to place her hand on your chin and you immediately stuck it away.
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!”
Seconds later you were sitting limp on your bedroom floor utterly alone.
Now don’t leave it there, just give it a chance
If only I’d forget you after one last dance
But you’re everywhere, yes you are
In every melody and in every little scar
Yes you are, you are, love
COMMENT IF YOU WANT A PART 2!!!

The Siren
Requested by @lifm06: Jasper x Reader where the reader is a siren and Jasper’s supernatural mate, but she doesn’t want to hurt Alice after seeing them kiss. So she runs away and a rogue vampire turns her and Jasper finds her collapsed on the floor during the process. After waking up, she gets hungry for real food and this confuses the Cullens and they find out she only half-transformed but still gets all the same cool powers and stuff.
A/n Hey there, thanks for the request! For the purposes of this story, I messed with canon. Alice and Jasper aren’t married — he’s new to the Cullen family (like within a year or two) and is currently dating Alice, seeing if they’re a good fit. Also, I’ve vaguely set this one at a university, hope that’s alright!
Pairing: Jasper X Female Reader
Disclaimer: I am not making any money from this nor do I own anything recognizable
Word count: 2418
Warnings: Mild descriptions of violence
“And aside from your book selections, no homework over the weekend.” The professor grins conspiratorially at the rejuvenated atmosphere in the classroom. “You’re welcome. Enjoy Homecoming.”
Gathering my items, I exit the classroom quickly, hoping to make it to my car before anyone can flag me down. It’s been a long, stressful day, and I want nothing more than to go home and relax in a wonderfully hot bath.
“Hey, Y/n!” A high-pitched voice chirps from below my ear and a cold, skinny arm wraps around my elbow.
“Alice,” I beam, unable to be annoyed at one of my favorite friends.
“You’re coming tonight, right?”
I grimace, quickly searching for an excuse.
She squints, frustration etching lines into her usually-smooth face. As I decide on and then discard various reasons for my absence at the Homecoming party tonight, staticky visions fly through her mind, just hazy enough to prevent her from interpreting them.
She doesn’t know I know she’s struggling to see my future. She doesn’t know I know she has visions, or that Edward can’t read my mind, or that she and her family are vampires.
She doesn’t know that I’m not human.
My supernatural attributes are even more subtle than vampire’s. I look and act and feel and die just like a human, but something is off. Something is different. When I argue with someone, they agree with me. When I ask for a lower price, it’s given. When I sing, people have no choice but to follow, even if I were leading them to their death.
My voice holds all my power.
Although Alice and I are both not human, I haven’t convinced myself to tell her that I’m a siren and that I know she’s a vampire. I would, really, if not for one terrible, awful, life-ruining fact.
I’m in love with her boyfriend.
From the minute Jasper walked into the lecture hall, I knew he was it. I felt the call of the heart, the soul, the sea, whatever, because I felt it all. I felt it so strongly, I thought I might collapse under the force of it.
And he walked past my seat like I was nothing to him.
Crushing as that was, after some research, I began to understand it better. I come from a long line of sirens, so I have the benefit of being aware of other supernatural beings. To the Cullens though, I must appear to be nothing more than a Shield -- capable of blocking their powers, but a human still. There’s no way for Jasper to know my feelings, because we operate on different wavelengths. And because vampires live forever, they can take their time forming connections — it’s not immediate like it is for sirens.
So I resolved to be patient. Over the course of months, Jasper and I developed a close friendship, teetering on the edge of something more. It was thrilling, wonderful, and painful all at once.
And then, four months ago, my best friend Alice confided in me that she and Jasper had gotten together.
It had nearly broken me. And while I love Alice like a sister and would never interfere with her happiness, I also don’t want to put myself in a position where I might see her and Jasper together.
Hence my hesitance to attend the party tonight.
“I really do have a lot of homework—”
“Y/n please, half the school will be there,” she whines, tugging on my arm impatiently.
That’s true…half the school will be there…I can have a fun night and never have to see her and Jasper together. So without much more of a fight, I agree.
{***}
The party is loud and wild and messy and fun. I dance with friends and strangers alike, celebrating the success of our football team and the new school year. The gathering is much too big to be held indoors, so we dance in the moonlight, in a large clearing not too far into the forest. I’m never alone — someone always seeks me out. It’s an unintended side-effect of being a siren, one that, even after many years, I still don’t feel accustomed to.
One of my acquaintances, Cleo, pulls me to the side for another drink, and towards the entrance of the clearing, I see them.
Jasper, the one I am meant to be with, holds my best friend Alice tightly against him, kissing her fiercely.
Pain pierces deep in my stomach and I drop my cup, fighting back tears.
“I—I have to go.”
Cleo calls after me, but I’m already gone, running through the sea of people in the opposite direction, into the woods.
{***}
The moon is much higher in the sky when I finally stop running. Panting, I sink to the ground, not sure if I’m gasping from exertion or my sobs. When I go to wipe my eyes, I notice the blood on my arms. I must’ve run through brambles or thorn bushes, but I have no real memory of it.
The only thing I can remember is seeing my love with someone else.
“Why are you crying?”
I whip my head up, expecting to have been alone.
A few yards in front of me stands a man possessing the type of beauty only afforded to the supernatural.
And his eyes shine bright red.
Oh no.
“N-nothing,” I stutter, fear momentarily pushing the emotional pain to the side. “I was just taking a break from a party, but I should be getting back now.”
“Yes,” he murmurs, taking slow steps forward. “The revelry can be heard for miles — I will admit that I have been waiting for one to isolate themselves. The woods are dark and dangerous and when you mix in alcohol well…disappearances can be better-explained.”
I swallow at his menacing words, pushing myself up to my feet.
Before I can make any further movement, the man comes behind me, holding me in a vice-like grip. “Fear not, young one,” he purrs, stroking his nose along my neck. “I shall be quick.”
Resolve settles within me, and I remember who I am. I am a siren, and my voice is my power!
“You will not kill me,” I declare in the sweetest, most enchanting voice possible.
I feel him physically weaken at my words, but I waited too long to speak.
His teeth are already sinking into my skin.
White-hot pain, more horrible than anything I’ve ever experienced, rips through my body and, with a shriek of agony, I fall to the ground.
The vampire looks upon me with a mixture of regret and pity. “I will not kill you,” he murmurs, still caught under the force of my words.
And with that, he flees, disappearing into the night.
I don’t know how long I writhe on the ground, begging, screaming for someone to help me, to make the pain stop.
But it only spreads.
After what seems like an eternity, the pain covers my entire body, and my vision goes black.
{***}
“Y/n?”
Though the pain, an angelic voice floats to my ears.
I try to respond, to reach towards it, but all I can manage is a scream.
“Oh my God,” the angel breathes, horror apparent in his voice.
Is he in pain too?! Has the fire reached my beloved?!
I begin to panic, trying to claw through the pain to get to him.
“Shh, shh, it’s alright,” the voice soothes, pulling me into an embrace that feels like home.
He’s silent for a moment, cradling my head in his hand, and then he speaks again.
“This is the first time I’ve been able to feel what you feel…” His voice sounds breathy, dazed, and I try to open my eyes, without success.
As much as I want to stay here with him, to be cognizant of his touch, his voice, the pain is too strong, and I sink into its clutches once more.
{***}
When the pain finally recedes from my body, I open new eyes.
The world around me has changed too, it seems. Everything is sharper, clearer, louder, more intense.
And when I look down and see Jasper holding my hand, I realize that my feelings for him have intensified, too. Somehow, I love him even more than I previously thought possible.
He nods, gripping my hand tighter. “I feel it too.”
“Y/n.” A soft voice to my right requests my attention, and I reluctantly turn my gaze from my beloved’s topaz eyes to greet those of Dr. Carlisle Cullen. He offers me a hesitant smile, clearly trying to make himself seem non-threatening. “I’m glad to see you awake and out of pain. How are you feeling?”
I shrug, at a loss for how to describe it all. I still feel like me, yes, but I feel….more. I feel the input of heightened senses and the resilient nature of my new body. “Different,” I decide, knowing that word will have to do it for now. “Where am I?”
“At our home,” a voice answers from behind me, and I jump off the bed, having previously been unaware of this third guest.
Edward Cullen stands there, hands raised in the universal show of surrender. “I’m sorry, I should’ve made my presence known. You can relax now, no harm will come to you here.”
It’s then that I notice that, in the mere span of half a second, I have thrown myself from the bed and into a defensive position, baring my teeth.
It’s Edward, I remind myself. You know him, he’s nice. Calm down.
I force myself to relax.
An intrigued look crosses his face. “I’d never been able to read your mind before today. I guess that’s an effect of the transformation.”
Transformation…meaning…
“I’m a vampire,” I realize, hands flying to my too-smooth skin.
“Yes,” Jasper breathes, placing a light hand on my arm. “I found you in the woods a few days ago, I’m sorry…I couldn’t stop it.”
He turns to face me then, regret plain in his features. I shake my head, wanting badly to stop his sadness. “No, it’s okay, I…well the pain wasn’t ideal, but that’s done now. I do wonder how this will fit with my other abilities, though…”
Carlisle furrows a curious eyebrow. “Your other abilities?”
“You’re a siren,” Edward gasps, pulling the thought from my head. “Or at least, you were…we’ll have to get Alice, see if she can see anything of your future. That might help us figure some things out.”
Alice. I glance to Jasper at my side, then quickly look away. I shouldn’t be this close to him. “Where is Alice?” Surely she would want to be here, as my best friend?
Edward shakes his head slowly, looking conflicted. “She wanted to be here, but she needed some time to herself. She—” he clears his throat, looking to Jasper for help.
Jasper squeezes my hand in his, prompting me to look at him. “When you changed, so did my future. It shifted and, well, didn’t include her in the way it might’ve before.”
Oh.
Oh!
Oh wow, I feel awful.
“Don’t,” Edward and Jasper protest at the same time.
“She’ll be alright,” Carlisle confirms, offering me an encouraging smile. “She has a world of other possibilities open to her, and she knows it. She’ll be back in a few weeks at most. And until then, we need to teach you how to be a vampire.”
I smile weakly, a twinge of discomfort in my stomach making itself known. “Can it wait until after dinner? I feel like I haven’t eaten in days.”
“Of course,” Carlisle nods, indicating to the nearby window. “If you follow us to the forest, we will teach you how to hunt.”
“Um—” I hesitate. “Won’t that take a while? I can smell the meat in the fridge now, could we just make that and go hunting tomorrow?”
I’m met with three sets of hopelessly confused eyes.
“You…want human food?” Jasper tilts his head, uncomprehending.
I stare at him, equally questioning. “Yes? Oh—” Realization hits me. “I should want blood, shouldn’t I?”
“Yes,” Carlisle nods, studying me closely. “You say you are a siren? Perhaps that stopped the full transformation from taking effect somehow.”
Worry pools within me. Am I not a proper vampire?
Edward shakes his head, knowing my thoughts. “No, you seem to be like us on the surface — you just don’t have the desire for blood. We should explore more in-depth though. For example, what of your lifespan? Will it be indefinite, or limited to the constraints of a human or a siren? Are you as strong as us, or are you holding on to human traits that make you weaker?”
Jasper senses my rising anxiety and places a hand on my shoulder. “There is certainly a lot to discuss, but we should do it after you eat.”
We go downstairs and Esme, one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, welcomes me with open arms and does her best to prepare the food she has on hand. I help a little, having been mortal the most recently.
After dinner, I meet the rest of the family, and they all join us outside for tests of my new abilities.
{***}
Nearly two days later, we’ve determined that I am a vampire.
Just not all the way.
It seems the siren in me stopped the full transformation from taking place, and I occupy a sort of half-state.
I am fast and strong, though not as much as my full-vampire counterparts. My senses are better than a human’s and almost as good as a vampire’s. My skin is just as hard and cold as a vampire’s. My eyes are currently red, though Carlisle thinks they will turn back to my usual color once my human blood fades from my system, providing I abstain from blood of any sort.
Perhaps the most interesting, is that my voice, already strong before my transformation, has only grown in power. I can bring Emmett—one of the strongest vampires we know of—to the ground with just a few words. It’s all very interesting.
The only matter we have yet to resolve is my life-span.
None of us know how long I will live.
My emotions tell Jasper where my thoughts lie. “We’ll figure it out,” he mutters, pressing a kiss to the top of my head.
I sigh, leaning back against his chest and enjoying his embrace. Because whatever time I have with him, I intend to soak it up for all it’s worth.
