Do you have any books based on Asian mythology that you would recommend? I recently read A Mortal Song and I quite liked it. It's a story about Japanese kami who live among humans.

🇬🇧 Welcome my dear archaeological fans to a new installment of Japanese prehistory, this time we move to the question, when did Shintoism originate? - Although it may seem strange, it is a religion that was formed during the Jōmon period (17500-300), to be exact at the end of that period and continues to this day the gods of Shintoism, they are called Kamis (god) since for the Japanese everything the mountains and rivers had a god. - Shintoism has Chinese, Korean influences, and there are similarities with Taoism. What two books are classified under the category of the Kamis? They are the Kojiki (713d.c) and the Nihonshoki (720d.c). - I hope you like it and see you in a next publication a cordial greeting.

Susanoo slaying Yamata no Orochi by Tsukioka Yoshitoshi
The artwork shows Susanoo-no-Mikoto slaying the eight-headed and eight-tailed serpent Yamata no Orochi upstream of the river at Hirokawa in Izumo Province. The legendary sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi came from the tail of Yamata no Orochi.

I was going to make a joke about these being the shittiest Inari fox statuettes in the history of Shinto, but you know what? I think I did a pretty good job! Especially considering I made them from scratch out of Fimo dough using a fork, a paperclip and an eraser.

Daily Kami - Day 186 + Közi
A bit of context for this photo.. Mana had crashed the van, so Kami and Közi took the opportunity to take photos of themselves with the van afterwards.

I'm writing a scene for a fic where Max jokes about how he'll always be all powerful, and Richie immediately turns that on its head by turning Max into the major sub that he is, and I'm trying to figure out what to use.
If you pick neko/koneko or inu/koinu, I'm curious which one you prefer. If you don't know, Neko means cat, koneko means kitten, inu means dog and koinu means puppy. So like, would he use them interchangeably, or would he stick with one, yknow?
