The Block- cafe Recht Chpt.1

Description: Miles owns a cafe with Franziska, and Phoenix and Maya are famous actors. Their daughters go to school together, so what happens when they want a sleepover?

Notes: A entry series involving a descendant of a traveler, following the death of her mother it was determined Sky would be better off staying with Miles Edgeworth. This is an OC insert, the fantastical technobabble is just for looks

“Alright, are both your lunches packed?” Phoenix asked, as he sat by the door.

“Yup!”

“Good,” he stood up and went to kiss Trucy and Apollo. “I’ll be home a little later tonight, Apollo, there’s kraft dinner in the pantry and stuff to make pasta. Take your pick for dinner. As for lunch tomorrow, there’s stuff for sandwiches and snacks in the pantry.”

“Thanks dad.” Apollo chuckled a bit as Phoenix ruffled his hair. Trucy let out a small whine before latching onto Phoenix’s side, making him laugh.

“Well, I need to go. Have a good day at school, both of you. Remember to text me if you need anything, and-”

“Call in emergencies, we know!” Both kids laughed, as they pushed their dad towards the door. “We love you!”

“I love you two!” He called back, as the door was shut and locked behind him.

As soon as Phoenix left, Trucy skipped over to the kitchen table and took a seat. Her cape trailed behind her, and Apollo laughed, shaking his head. He followed her, and checked the time before pulling out a cereal box from under the counter. It was only six thirty, Apollo still had an hour until school, while Trucy had an extra thirty minutes on him. Setting down the cereal and milk, he took a seat across from Trucy. Trucy had been spinning her phone on the table. It was an older model phone, and the only reason she had it was because Phoenix and Apollo sometimes had to leave her alone for an hour or two. Although if that happened, she’d usually go over to Maya and Pearl’s until Phoenix could get her.

“Are you excited Polly?” He looked up from his bowl.

“I guess, should I be?”

Trucy pouted, “You haven’t been to school at all this year! You have all new classmates, plus you get to see Clay again.”

“You have a point. I guess I am a little excited to see Clay again,” he brought his spoon to his mouth before pausing, “speaking of school. Remember to leave the cape here.”

She looked surprised for a second, like she was hoping he wouldn’t notice.

“Awww, but-”

“No, you can keep your hat, but no cape.” Trucy huffed, before shoving a bit of cereal angrily into her mouth.

Maya groaned as her alarm started beeping, and she flailed around to stop it. As much as she loved acting, she got to meet a lot of fun people, she’d never get used to the strange hours. Dragging herself out of bed, she turned on her phone to see a message from the director about working late. She sent a short reply, before stepping out of her room to start breakfast. It was five in the morning, and she had to leave in an hour. Before then, she had to make breakfast for Pearl, and make sure she got up on time.

After mixing the ingredients, she started the first few pancakes, and pulled out her phone to text Phoenix.

Nick Jan. 5th 5:34 P.M Can you bring me some toilet paper? I kind of ran out I’m stuck on the toilet Jan. 6th 5:11 A.M Remember to ask Polly to take Pearl to school

She’d taken Pearl in after her mother was arrested for a set of assault charges. Maya didn’t think Morgan would take Pearl back after she was released, so she’d moved into a two bedroom apartment closer to Pearl’s school. It happened to be the same building that Phoenix and his kids lived in which made getting the younger two to school easier.

Maya flipped the three pancakes, before going to wake up Pearl.

“Pearly, come on. It’s time to get up.” Maya turned on the light, before shaking Pearl gently.

“Mph, five more minutes,” the girl grumbled.

Maya sighed, “Fine, I guess your pancakes will just have to get cold.” She hadn’t even gotten to the door, when Pearl rolled out of bed.

“Ah, good morning fraulein, ready for school?” Klavier asked, as he made an order of coffees to go.

Sky yawned, “Mo-morning Mr. Gavin. I want to sleep.” He laughed.

It was seven in the morning, and the cafe’s regular’s were starting to come in. The staff for the day was Klavier, Franziska, and Miles. Miles was in the back, making the baked goods, while the other two manned the counter. As for customers, there was a man in a polo shirt waiting for an order, a businessman typing at his laptop while enjoying a coffee, Simon and his sister with Athena, and Lana. Athena looked over at her when she spoke, and waved.

“Here you go Fraulein Skye, have a good day,” Klavier smiled, as he handed her a tray of coffees.

“Thanks. You know, you should try and stop by this week, we’ve got some high profile guests,” she moved off to the side to talk.

“Is that why there are so many people with cameras around?” Klavier asked, and Lana nodded. “Ah I was worried people had found where I worked.” Franziska rolled her eyes.

It was a running joke in the cafe about Klavier’s fame. Back when the Gavineers had first become popular, the cafe was swarmed regularly. Everyone wanted a picture or autograph, and while it still happened on occasion, it was much calmer now.

Sky had hopped up onto a stool at the bar, and Athena had joined her. Franziska, after finishing her order, brought them over juice boxes and breakfast sandwiches. The girls were listening quietly, while the adults spoke.

“It seems there’s filming going on for a movie at the intersection beside here. I don’t know how you didn’t notice. Anyways, the production crew are staying with us, want me to send them your way for coffee?”She laughed.

“That’s alright,” Miles said, stepping out from the kitchen. “We have enough business as it is. Good morning Sky, sleep well?”

“Mhmph,” she responded around a mouthful of food.

“That’s good,” he ruffled her hair. “Don’t forget to wear a sweater, it’s a little chilling today. Good morning by the way, Miss. Cykes.”

“Morning Mr. Edgeworth!”

“Ema, what are you still doing here?” Lana asked, as she set down the tray of coffees.

“Dying! I just want school to be over. I don’t care if it’s only six months, that’s still too long!” Ema groaned.

“Well, those six months will go faster if you don’t get detentions for being late. Which you’re about to get because it’s 7:10 and you hate running.”

“Wait seriously?” She checked her phone. “Shit! Bye!” She jumped up from the couch and ran off, almost missing her bag as she ran by.

@skitteringjunbug’s Suave, being the dramatic skelley that he is, has suffered a fall and is enjoying the attention. @valkyrieofsmut’s sona (which I kinda count as an OC) is tired of his drama, @janeelyakiri’s OC Crow (who likes Suave ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) can’t seem to handle Suave at his feet, @kertneyk’s OC Trixie loves to laugh at Suave at every chance she gets, and Polly, another one of Jan’s OC’s, is just freaking out about it all.

This was fun! And a good practice for me on poses!

SKAM Remake - HP Next Generation

I feel like I didn’t explain myself very well in my last post and I am just going to clear some things up.

What is SKAM?

For those of you in the HP fandom who are maybe unaware of Skam, I am going to give a quick overview:

It is a tv show that is immensely popular all over Europe and across the world, it originated in Norway but has since been translated and remade in multiple languages for many different countries.

Each country’s show features similar characters, going through similar plot lines, with a few things changed or added upon.

It is all about teenagers, and their lives, and them falling in and out love with each other, finding friendships and ending them.

In each season, you are placed into the POV of one Main character.

You get clips posted at the time in which they are happening to the characters, and you are given their messages, and you can see their instagram and are placed completely into their world.

It is a truly innovative, and powerful, show, that I truly urge you to check out.

What is the HP Next Generation?

If you’ve discovered this post and you’re in the SKAM fandom and don’t know much about the next generation of harry potter characters, this explanation is for you.

The Next Gen is the set of characters who come after the main characters, basically Harry, Ron and Hermione’s children.

I.e James, Albus and Lily Potter, Rose and Hugo Granger-Weasley, etc.

I will also be using the characters introduced in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, but (whilst I am including references to CC) it is an alternate reality to CC and not canon compliant, and if you don’t know CC you will be able to understand everything that’s going on just fine! hopefully.

I.e Polly Chapman and Yann Fredericks

It will also feature some of my own OCs.

What exactly am I doing?

So, this blog will become the home for ‘Clips’ over the next few weeks.

I will be posting short little updates, at the same time that they are set, over the week, as this is what the Skam television series’ have done so that you are seeing fully from the Main Character’s point of view.

After all the ‘Clips’ are out, I will post full ‘Episodes’ onto my AO3 account, under Psued scorpiuhsmalfoy just to keep everything neat and in similar places.

The first clips will be posted tomorrow (Sunday 12th Jan).

The first season is from the POV of Rose Granger-Weasley.

EDIT: You should hopefully be able to read and enjoy this fic if you know nothing about Skam or HP Next Gen.

To Skam Fans: Consider this just another remake! This time set in the magical world of Harry Potter!

To Next Gen fans: Consider this just another fic detailing the lives of these characters that we all love but know almost nothing about!

Some admissions.

I have not seen the first two seasons of Skam. In fact, I haven’t seen any season completely all the way through.

Like most people, what appealed to me most about Skam was the love story between Isak and Even, and I think it translated wonderfully to our main couple Albus and Scorpius.

However, I love Skam as a whole and I really wanted to try my hand at telling a full story like this, so I knew I needed to start from the proper beginning.

So this is just me letting any Skam fans know, that the first two seasons will probably not be the storyline you are expecting.

I know vaguely what happens to Eva and Noora but I have not seen their seasons and have come up with my own, original-ish, plotlines for them and I just hope you can go with me on that.

Also, CC fans, in order for some things to work, some of your faves may be slightly OOC.

For the most part, I am trying to keep James, Albus, Lily, and Rose to what the major fandom wide HCs for them are.

However, for the newer characters such as Polly and Yann, they may not act exactly as you might expect them too, sadly this is just the nature of the beast.

I know everyone has become deeply devoted to these guys, but we don’t have much in canon for them, and therefore I’ve seen them largely as OCs that I’m going to mould to fit the plot.

If you have any more questions please ask me! I am really excited about this project, and have been planning it since WTFock (the belgian remake of Skam which I recommend all Scorbus fans go into the tag for, because they are perfect fancasts for Scorbus) began.
