Jamie Lee Reardin
To start with, I sketched the proportions of the face, body and neck. I then sketched the outline and shaded the face, body and neck with 2H-3B pencils. I added highlights with my white pen. I chose Jamie Lee Reardin’s work as she has a unique and unrealistic style. This illustration intrigued me as there is lots of depth, shadows and detail in the hair.

Developing My Own Poses
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I traced the 12 bodies with my fine liner again. I painted/drew the faces that I combined and merged of 2 illustrators styles. For example:
. Rongrong De Voe and Jowy Maasdamme
. Ángel Hernández and Laura Kay
. Mekel and Malik Roberts
. Jamie Lee Reardin and Jessica Bird
. Basia Rochowczyk and Becky Donnelly
. Sara Singh and Alina Zamanova
I found painting/drawing these faces challenging as they are a lot smaller and were hard to draw/paint the tiny details such as: the eyes, beetles and glasses.

Jamie Lee Reardin:
Jamie Lee Reardin is an illustrator and artist who grew up in Toronto, Canada and now lives and works in Los Angeles. Jamie attended Ryerson University and majored in Fashion Communications and Design, with an emphasis in Advanced Illustration. Jamie was captivated as a child by the fantastical characters created by visionaries such as Walt Disney and Tim Burton, and she aspired to work in animation. Her initial step into art was replicating iconic figures such as Cruella de Vil, the Corpse Bride, and Beetlejuice in her own distinct style. Her style as an artist and illustrator has grown tremendously since then, and she frequently draws inspiration from the equally fascinating world of fashion to produce her characteristic gazelle-like figures, distinguished by excessively long necks and impossibly tiny forms. Jamie has created campaigns and unique illustrations for Dior Beauty, New York City Ballet, Moda Operandi, Prada, and Nike. She is also a fine artist, routinely producing paintings that combine her experience in illustration with her admiration for visionaries such as Picasso and Dali.

Illustrator Merging and Development
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anjelica Roselyn x Jamie Lee Reardin
I merged these illustrators as they i think that the combination of the colour from Anjelica Roselyn’s piece will compliment Jamie Lee Reardin’s piece.
I really liked the outcome of this piece as it was different to the other illustrators that I had merged previously.

Face Illustration 6.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For my final facial development piece, I to challenge myself to mashing up three different artists, taking a small feature from each and combining it into a face. I was mainly inspired by Jamie Lee Reardin and Marina Sidneva, whilst incorporating small features of Rusanova Olesya. I used elements of each artist and added my own touch by emphasising on certain features. As of most illustration I have created with Jamie Lee Reardin, I was inspired by the elongated, stretched out necks, emphasising that beauty comes in many forms. Furthermore, I was inspired by Marina Sidneva's iconic, eye-catching deep red lips. I wanted to further exaggerates this feature and make my own main feature, I have added teeth consisting of a gap separating from sociatle beauty standards. Furthermore, to incorporate my final illustration artist I have decided to include her typical face shape and unique eye.
I first began with the basic face shape by Rusanova, and began to build the watercolour , adding the light areas and dark areas. Furthermore, I also began building up the red watercolour on on the voluptuous red Marina Sidneva adding the darkest shade of red to the corners of the lips and the lightest shade to the centre of the lips, which has created a beautiful effect. Moreover, to involve a glossy a glossy effect on the lips I have added white pen which incorporates a realism aspect and a black fine liner to imitate the natural crease of the lips however, I feel as though this could have been better executed, like my third illustration, to enhance the aspect of realism. I finished this illustration with fine liner on the eye to tie in the inspiration of Rusanova Olesya. Overall, I like how this piece turned out although I feel as though the hair could have been better presented.

Figure Illustration 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For my third figure illustration I was inspired by the artists Jamie Lee Reardin. She is  is an Illustrator and artist, her inspiration rooted from the Disney villain Cruella de Vil, a childhood obsession with Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice and a rare Picasso exhibition poster. Her hand-painted array of unusual characters are vibrant, peculiar, and consistently clad in haute couture. Her unique character figures feature long necks, elongated figures and "squashed" faces. Her silhouettes are extremely abstract and portray this stylised feel however I really like the type of image this creates and the long and thin limbs really tie the look together.

Finally, this is my forth illustration, for this illustration I decided to illustrate Louis Vuitton SS24 London Fashion week look. The spring/summer 24 collection felt travel-inspired and adventurous. Nicolas Ghesquière plays with layered volumes to create airy silhouettes and tailored ensembles, each embracing a different facet of femininity, pairing leather bomber jackets with ruffled skirts and ’00s-inspired chunky belts in black and monogrammed leather.
The first artist I decided to collaborate with was Grace Ciao. She is a Singapore based fashion illustrator and best known for her work Bloom Belles which communicate the natural beauty of flowers and connects viewers by making them experience nature in new and surprising ways. She uses a combination of hand-drawn lines and watercolour brushstrokes with real, three-dimensional flowers. There I decided to incorporate a three dimensional aspect into my illustration.
The second artist I chose to incorporate into my own illustration is Jamie Lee Reardin, a Canadian-born although L.A. based artist known for her striking character design work in the fashion industry. She studied Fashion Communications and Design at Ryerson University, where she studies advanced illustration. Reardin creates a heady concoction of fashion, fantasy and Goth including long necks and stick-thin silhouettes. Dior spotted her and appreciated her works by appointing her as the resident artist for the brand. Since then, Lee Reardin has gone on to work with the best names in the fashion industry viz. Burberry, Barbie, Nike, Prada, Swarovski, Salvatore Ferragamo amongst others. therefore I attempt to include the overly round, shorts faces with the exaggerated long necks into my illustrations to showcase her work.
For this illustrations I began by drawing the face, entirely, inspired by Jamie Lee Reardin, I really enjoy how the head is almost the same widths as the body however still remains proportional. I then added a three dimensional garment to my illustration. I began by adding pleats to both layers of the skirts and the dying them a light pink. Furthermore, I separated the top into three sections and sewing together to create a corset look similar to that of the design. Afterwards I added straps and a pleated skirt to the corset to crest more layers. Overall I really enjoyed how this illustration turned out.
As a result of Grace Ciao using real three dimensional flowers, I attempted to incorporate this into my background. Therefore I used real life orange flowers to link to, not only the artist but also the background in the catwalk.

𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐈𝐄𝐂𝐄 - 𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐖𝐀𝐋𝐊 𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊 - 𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐍
For my final pieces I had merge two illustrator’s styles to illustrate a catwalk look that I chose from a collection from London Fashion Week.
For this piece I chose to merge the style of Jamie Lee Reardin and Alena Zakhvatkina. I also chose a look from Harris Reed’s Spring-Summer collection.
To illustrate this piece I used the style of how Jamie Lee Reardin illustrates a head and the features on the face. For the body I used the style of how Alena Zakhvatkina illustrates a body. I chose to merge these two illustrative styles as I wanted to experiment with two styles that has completely different proportioning techniques. Where Jamie has a more oversized proportioning technique, Alena has a more slim and slender proportioning technique.
I liked using these styles for this type of runway look as the oversized head proportions balanced out the way the dress is structured on a more slender body.
