The other day I was thinking if in the future Lewis would be more remembered due to his world titles or due to his humanitarian work, and with that I remembered Jackie Stewart, he is considered one of the best drivers ever, he was three F1 titles and other records, but now he is remembered as the man who pushed F1 to improve safety, the safety measures we see in F1 these days come from Stewart's work, the same thing with Schumacher, these days people talk more from his humanitarian work than his F1 career.

F1 since its creation had always a lot of talents, no generation has ever compete in F1 without great drivers and that is why when drivers retire their humanitarian work is more valued than the titles they win. This is because people know, even if they don't want to admit it, that any great talent wins a world title, but how many people leave their comfort zone and engage in humanitarian work, often risking their lives and making powerful enemies. Because in reality there will be more drivers like Max in F1 in the future, as I said F1 has always had exceptional talent, but will there be more drivers like Lewis Hamilton, like JackieStewart? Currently my answer is no.

OH this is so interesting.

I think though, both Lewis Hamilton's and Jackie Stewart's aren't remembered for humanitarian work, instead they are (or will be for Lewis') remembered for pushing Formula One forward. And it wasn't because they wanted to, it was because they had to.

But yeah, I think there are drivers who are remembered for their talent or their rivalries (I have not personally seen people mention Michael Schumacher's humanitarian work over his on track accomplishments). I don't think it's humanitarian work that is valued over titles, I think it's the impact on Formula One that has more value that titles, if that makes sense?

And I think it's hard to predict if there will be another driver that pushes F1 forward because I think eventually there will be but it's impossible to figure out how or who. Are they on the grid right now? Maybe. I won't count it out but yeah, that's my take on it.
