I am your constituent. I am strongly in favor of defunding Israel. I want my opinion logged on every single one of these pieces of legislation. It is an atrocity that the USA is sending our taxpayer dollars, weaponry, and other support to Israel in order to aid in the genocide of the Palestinian people. It does not reflect the will of your constituents, and I demand that you correct this by voting for/against the following bills, resolutions, and legislation.

To be frank, I will be basing my vote for you in upcoming elections on this issue. I will be watching closely to see how you vote on issues regarding funding to Israel. I will not vote for you in the next election if you vote to send any money, support, or weaponry to Israel. I will be voting for you if you vote to block money, support, and weaponry to Israel.

This is the current legislation I am for, and the current legislation I am against. I would like your office to record my opinion for each bill, and I would like you to take this into consideration when you vote.

I am against Joe Biden’s proposal to spend billions of dollars on Israel via a package for Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the US border. Biden is asking for $100 BILLION for this package and it is only 1 YEAR'S worth of funding. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable, and I am against you voting for ANY bill that spends even $1 on Israel. I do not care what else is in the bill. If it gives money to Israel, I am against it.

I am against any legislation that allows troops to deploy to the Middle East in support roles for Israel, as proposed by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

I am against Netanyahu’s ground invasion of Gaza, which will inevitably lead to mass killings of Palestinian civilians and escalate violence. If there are any future bills supporting this, you need to vote against them and not co-sponsor.

The U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Act stipulate that only Congress can authorize the president to use military force in a foreign war, except in cases of self-defense. Previous administrations from both parties have ignored this, with unauthorized strikes in places like Syria and Libya. I want you to stand against ANY use of military force that supports Israel or hurts Palestine.

And of course, I am against the usual funding of $3.8 billion PER YEAR to Israel. This 10-year agreement began in 2016. I do not want a renewal in 2026, and in the next election, I will vote for representatives who WILL NOT VOTE TO FUND ISRAEL. I will be keeping track of how you vote now, and I will not vote for you if you decide to fund Israel in any way.

I am a single-issue voter for this. I want you to defund Israel. I do not want a single dollar spent on supporting Israel. I will be paying attention to how you vote in the upcoming weeks and months, and if you vote to fund or provide weapons, troops, or intelligence to Israel, I will NOT vote for you in the next election.

We are paying attention to the budget. We know when you're giving aid to a country committing genocide instead of helping your constituents in the USA. Both myself and tens of thousands of other constituents have spent years saying that we don’t want our hard-earned taxpayer dollars going to Israel. The lack of willingness to fund anything for American citizens, but the quickness with which you take action for Israel is telling. It is unacceptable.

As an elected official, you have the opportunity to listen to the public and stand against genocide. Israel is currently committing war crimes against Palestine. You can stop this by defunding Israel. THOUSANDS of Palestinian people have been killed, 1/3 of them children, in just a couple of days. One child every 15 minutes is being killed. YOU can prevent this by refusing to send additional weapons and funding to Israel.

We are currently spending BILLIONS of dollars EVERY YEAR on Israel. I do not want my money going towards the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians. Not a dollar more.

Bonus point: Equally naturally, Stanisław August Poniatowski (nine syllables?? my guy...) is Staś.

It does not in any way improve matters that this reminds me of legendary (to me) accordion duo Jaś i Staś.

A passage from Puukko's travel log

Been an awful long time since I've tasted wine. Longer still since I last spilled any. I find it funny the lessons y’ never quite learn, despite how many times y' need of learnin’ ‘em. Things like how dancin’ on a table usually means a finale on the floor if ye catch my meaning. Things like how there's more'an a few reason Bacchus governs wine AND love, and how a ring on a finger is often more'an just a ring on a finger... Lemme tell you, almost every dance is worth dancin’, but not every fight's worth fightin'! I'd say I'd need t’ keep m’ eye from wandering, but seein’ as how wandering is just about all I've been and I'll be doin’ for a while maybe I'm not the best one t’ teach that lesson. Didn't drink that dram from Pappa's still. Didn't seem like the right night fer a taste ‘o home.

Debauchery aside, I did learn a thing er two. There be a decent fishing spot a few miles out from here, an’ what's more, it seems Venice ain't that long awhile aways yet. More, still, as luck would have it there's a market there, too. Big'un. Thinking that gives me enough of a reason fer to go. O'course, you know why I'm really going. Perhaps even a mite more than I do.

Ah, who am I kiddin’. Yer a journal, ye wouldn't know Jack if he tarr'd ya! Not sure how long I'll stay, but the return trip t’ Moominvalley's no swift kick. Not itching to run back just yet, either way. Still need a nip o’ salted air, but the way I see it there'll be plenty of time for that when I'm finished burning up out here.

Day 14? By my reckoning, anyway.

1. Describe their first date. I think when they want to move on from just friends/fooling around, their first official date is more planned than their usual spots. They would go to a nice dinner, then as they get to the car afterwards Matt reveals he packed blankets and spare casual clothes for them and takes Gilbert up to a natural lookout above the city to park and lay in the truckbed. Stargaze and watch the lights below, talking and cuddling and probably more. It's all very 80s-move-esque romantic

16. Would they ever get matching tattoos? If yes, what would these look like? Aww I think they would! Probably little birds or flora, or stars as they love stargazing together. I can also see them getting tattoos that are really masculine or cool-looking but that line up together when they hold hands. They’re really sentimental softies but the tattoos look sick as hell

46. Do they consider their relationship casual or serious? Is the answer different depending on who you ask? Why? They label their relationship as casual for much longer than it actually is that way -- even though it makes them nervous, in the end they both really crave commitment so once they call it official it definitely is serious. Their vibe together is pretty easygoing though so it often isn't taken very seriously by their peers :/ I think if you asked Matt he'd say enthusiastically that they're very serious, Gil might be more avoidant of the question because he doesn't like labeling shit very much, but baseline yeah they're on the same page

6. How do they make up/apologize after an argument? Firstly, its important that they make sure to take time alone to recoup. Arguments between them aren't often, but when they do occur it can be trainwreck-level; they both have anxious-attachment, fawn when confronted, and also lie about being Fine. So its hard to tell when they're truly over it and this can be uniquely frustrating because its like arguing with a mirror. But eventually they choose softness and sit down somewhere comfortable together to talk things out once they're feeling better. If one is more hurt by the other, it quickly goes to hand-holding or petting hair. They really care about each other so deeply so it's hard to stay mad once things are looking up

14. Do they enjoy PDA, or are they more private with affection? Truthfully, they both secretly like it. They don't often get attention so displaying their love in public can be really sweet and fun to them! it depends on where they are; they are always showing PDA in Canada where its more accepted, but not so much in Europe, etc. Most of the time its spontaneous too, getting overwhelmed with how cute/handsome the other is and going in for squeezes or kisses :3 They surely like to show off when they can.

30. What are their respective love languages? Do their love languages work well together? Matthew’s is Words of Affirmation, while Tolys’ is Acts of Service. I think they compliment each other nicely, because it's things that they both understand. There can be SOME issues with trauma responses of overdoing these, such as Matt feeling like he owes him chores and etc to be praised, to Tolys’ experience of receiving much verbal manipulation and sweet-talking in past relationships (ie Ivan). Reminders that they are both being genuine and mean no harm really stop this from happening too often though.

49. Do they keep secrets from each other? Neither of them are secretive people, but there is such a large experience gap that is taken into account in their relationship. I think Matthew is more of an open book than Tolys is (Tolys definitely needs more reassurance of safety in order to share something big) but neither keep things secret on purpose. If anything it's trauma or experiences that just don't need to be rehashed if it's not relevant. This is great and a fav of mine for creating drama though, Matt discovering things about pol/pru/liet's past that still affect them today and learning how to help with trauma responses

The chances you take: Chapter 16

Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x single mom!reader

Summary: Ted wants to show Ella what family is really like.

Words: 2.2k

Warnings: A case involving a dissapearance of a child (does not and will not include violence of any kind), angst with hurt/comfort.

A/N: I wanted to punch that mf SO bad while writing this. This series is almost coming to an end and I don't know what to do with my life after it's over. There will be two more official chapters after this one, but I think there will be at least 2 more related one shots coming later on.

Chapter 16: Family

“Can we go see mommy now?” the little girl asks from the backseat. Ted doesn’t have a proper seat for her in the back, but the trip isn’t long so she’ll just have to sit on the regular seat. He knows it’s a bad idea, if a cop would see her sitting like that, he’d get a fine really quickly. But she’s short enough to not reach the window properly beside her, so the odds of anyone seeing her are small.

It’s been a couple of hours now, and he can’t get her to shut up for a moment. He’s tried everything: he even got her a new Elsa toy from the store before picking her up. She was playing with for a moment but even then she’s too loud for his liking. And now, for the past hour, she’s been asking to ‘go see mommy’. He’s tried to bribe her off of that thought with ice cream, but even that doesn’t seem to do the trick.

“No, Ella” he tries not to shout at her, but he can’t quite keep his voice as calm as he’d like to. “For the hundredth time, no, we’re not going to go see mom yet. I want to show you something first”.

“But I want to go home to mommy” he hears her voice crack. Please don’t cry, please don’t cry, he thinks, knowing that he will lose his cool if the kid’ll have a temper tantrum right now. But the girl falls quiet instead and it feels like the best thing in the world right now; it gives him a chance to think clearly for a moment.

He couldn’t believe how easy it was for him to pick up Ella from the daycare. He knew that there were people sick and therefore a good chance for the temporary teachers to not know the kids nor their parents. Plus, he is her dad. He should have every right to see his daughter whenever he pleases, no matter what her mom might say. She can’t take that right away from him.

And Ella clearly needs a father in her life. She’s been spoiled rotten, she needs discipline and she needs to learn what she’s expected of from early on. And clearly she’s not being taught that currently. She’s way too impatient and loud, she needs to learn how to contain herself. He should have intervened a long time ago.

“I want mommy” Ella sniffles silently and Ted can feel his grip tighten around the steering wheel.

“I said no” he snaps and the girl jumps at the change of volume. “You are my daughter and I need to show you what family really is like. Only after that we’re going to go home and tell mommy what a great time you had with me and that you want to be more with daddy”.

It makes the little girl confused. She doesn’t have a daddy. And she loves mommy. And granma and pappa. Mommy has always said that families are different and that’s normal. That’s why her best friend at daycare, Alice, has two moms. And Jack has a dad but he also loves aunty Jess.

“But” Ella tries to argue but her protest is cut short.

“Ella, I said no” the man says. His words aren’t mean, but his voice startles her again and it makes her bottom lip quiver.

Ted sighs, there’s more work on her patience than what he originally thought. But thankfully, he’s almost at the summerhouse. There’s a couple of miles left and the surrounding fields remind him of his own childhood. His own father used to take him here when he was a kid, and he’s always wanted the same with his own kid.

He never enjoyed it as a kid, as his father was always so demanding and denied him of fun, just so he could enjoy some peace and quiet. But now that he has his own daughter with him, it’s his turn. Ella’s still young, but he can teach her, she’ll be able to do more soon enough.

In few minutes, the car comes to a stop and Ted gets out of the car. The cold air feels even harsher after getting used to the warmth inside the car, he’s never been a fan of the winter. He zips up his coat and goes to open the backseat door. Ted unbuckles Ella’s seatbelt and turns then towards the house.

The car is much higher than mommy’s car, it takes a moment for her to gain the courage to jump down from it. She stumbles once her feet hit the ground and the gravel on the ground hurts her hands. Ella sniffles silently, trying to quiet her tears, but despite her effort, she’s too shaken up to fight them. She starts crying, shaken up from the fall and missing her mom.

“Get in here already” Ted snaps, holding the front door open. He’s more than eager to get away from the cold. But the harsh tone does not get Ella to get inside any faster, quite the opposite. She freezes on her feet, tears running down her red cheeks. “I said get inside” he repeats but there’s no change in the girl.

With a huff, Ted makes his way to Ella and picks up the girl on his arm. But he makes no effort in comforting the girl, he only carries her inside.

But it’s not long after the front door is closed when he hears a distant sound of a car. It gets his attention as no one really comes around here this time of the year. He looks outside from the kitchen window, annoyed more than anything. Ella’s sniffling quietly on the big armchair while curled up tightly for warmth, as the house is still cold inside; it hasn’t been used in months.

“What now?” Ted mutters to himself and goes to the front door as he sees a black car pull up to the front.

Hotch turns off the car. He and Derek share a look before getting out. Both have put on their kevlars underneath the thick winter coats, just in case. Although nothing in their profile suggests him being a threat to them. But sometimes, even with a precise profile, people can be unpredictable, and the agents are rather well prepared than regretting it later on. Both make sure their guns are ready and reachable, but with a small child possibly on the line, the weapons stay holstered for now.

As the men get out of the car, the front door opens and both men freeze at the steps, assessing the situation that’s to come. They see the man they have been looking for on the door way.

“What do you want?” Ted shouts “You’re not welcome here” he adds once he recognizes the men in question.

“Ted, where’s Ella?” Aaron asks sternly.

“What’s it to you? I am her father, I have every right to have her” he says, but then goes to call for Ella. She slowly climbs down from the chair and walks to him. “See, she’s happy here. Isn’t that right?” He nudges the girl's shoulder and it only makes her cry harder.

“Does she look like she’s having a good time Ted?” It’s Derek’s turn to speak up. Both of the agents take slow, careful steps towards the porch. Derek’s attention is on Ted while Aaron tries to reach Ella’s eyes, hoping that she’ll recognize him and feel safer. “Come on, man. I know you’re mad at (y/n), but don’t take it out on her”.

Ella sniffles and looks up to the man next to her. But as she doesn’t get any kind of response from him, she looks towards the men. And once she recognizes them, Ella wishes she could run to them. But Ted is holding her back from her shoulder. The pressure is heavy on her, but not strong enough to be painful.

“Let her come home” Aaron says, his tone softer but calculated.

“Home?” He laughs “I am her father, I have every right to her, just as much she does”.

The back and forth continues for a couple of minutes, but Ted’s grip has loosened up on the girl. But not quite enough for Ella to make it out of his reach just yet.

“That bitch tries to take everything from me” he spits out in disgust. “I deserve her! I deserve this!” he shouts and gestures towards the big house and fields behind him.

And at the second Ted’s hands raise from the girl’s shoulder, Aaron nods at her and Ella comes running down the stairs and leaps to Aaron’s arms. He wraps his arms around her and holds her close to his chest. The embrace feels so safe, the little girl can’t help but cry.

“Hey! Get back here” Ted tries to command her, but he knows he’s lost. Derek rushes up the stairs and grasps him by the arms.

The man is soon cuffed, and Morgan doesn’t have much compassion for how tight the cuffs are. “That bitch you’re talking about happens to be my friend” he hisses while dragging the man towards the cop car that has arrived soon after them.

Aaron’s on his knees on the ground, holding Ella close to him with one arm while the other goes to unzip his jacket “Hold on, for one second okay?” he murmurs to the child who nods. In just couple of seconds, Hotchner takes off his jacket and his vest, leaving him only in his button up shirt and tie. He then goes to wrap the warm jacket around her before scooping her back into his arms.

Once you heard that Ted and Ella have been found, you’ve never wanted to drive anywhere as fast. But they were already on their way back to the office, so it would be smartest for you to just wait for now.

JJ and you had gone to Ted’s apartment. Before leaving the bureau, you and Aaron had agreed on splitting up. That way, if either of you happened to find her, Ella would have an adult there that she knows and trusts.

But right now, splitting up feels like the worst idea ever, as you still don’t have your daughter in your arms. And you feel awful for Aaron having to have dealt with Ted without you there.

When he had called you, he said that Ella was unharmed, she was just shaken up by it all. Of course she was. Poor little girl must have been so scared. And as much as you trust him, your heart won’t calm down until you have your little girl back to you.

What the hell was Ted thinking? Did he really think that you wouldn’t find him and get to him with the whole force from the bureau if needed. What was he trying to accomplish? Did he really think this would make you want to talk with him any more than you did before? All these questions play in your head over and over again as you sit in Hotchner’s office, until a quiet knock on the door interrupts you.

You jump to your feet as you see Hotch enter the room. In his arms, he’s holding your little girl, who’s holding onto his shirt with her small hands. She’s still wrapped in his dark jacket, which absolutely swallows Ella inside its warmth. Her cheeks are red but her eyes are tightly closed.

“Is she-?” You sniffle, your heart feeling so full at the sight of her.

“She fell asleep a few minutes ago. Been a long day” he whispers “I didn’t have the heart to wake her”.

You nod and wipe away the silent tear running down your own cheek. Your hand brushes softly against Ella’s back and you offer to take her from him. Aaron goes to lower her, in an attempt to pass her over to you. But Ella’s grasp on his shirt tightens, even if she remains sound asleep.

You chuckle and a gentle smile rises on Aaron’s lips as well. As Ella clearly doesn’t want to be let go of even for a moment, Aaron decides to take a seat on the couch for a moment. You go to kiss the crown of her head before you sit beside him.

“Mommy’s right here” you whisper to your sleeping girl. You feel so overwhelmed with emotion and love at that moment. Exhausted as well, you lay your head against Aaron’s chest, the same way Ella does. Your hand goes to brush on her back, up and down, and assure yourself that she’s now safe, she’s alright, and Ted will never hurt her or you again.

“She was so brave” he wraps his free arm around you, wanting to protect you both from the world, even if it’s just for a moment. He pulls you a bit closer and kisses your forehead “just like her mom”.

The King's Academy, a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence with a Top-5 Nationally-Ranked Fine Arts Program, recently performed the high school premiere of Newsies on its main stage in the Page Family Center for Performing Arts. Starring senior Kyle Martin (Jack Kelly), senior Chris Pappas (Crutchie), senior Clay Hider (Davey), and sophomore Olivia Cornett (Katherine Plumber), this musical is said to be one of TKA Theatre Co.'s best.

《以实力促进台湾和平法》是佛罗里达州的共和党籍联邦参议员马可·鲁比奥(Marco Rubio)6月中在参议院提出的法案，当时他已预告新罕布什尔州民主党籍联邦众议员克里斯·帕帕斯(Chris Pappas)与印第安纳州共和党籍联邦众议员吉姆·班克斯(Jim Banks)将在众议院提出相应立法。

2019年6月17日，鲁比奥提出对美国国防授权法进行修改，禁止中国华为公司通过美国法院向美国企业索要专利费、寻求损害赔偿。此言一出，全球哗然：几乎没有人敢相信，一个自诩为知识产权保护大国的参议员，竟公然宣称要通过修改法律禁止外国公司按照美国法律合理维权，公然抢劫别国专利、典型双重标准的提案，竟然在美国政界拥有言论空间。

四、美国众议院即将审议2024财年《国防授权法》(NDAA)，其中涉及台湾的附加修正案多达34项，包括要求美台加强联合军事训练及邀请台湾参加环太平洋多国军事演习(RIMPAC)。

1.民主党籍的军委会主席里德(Jack Reed)说，“这个前瞻性的国防法案对保障美国人民的安全、阻遏冲突及应对我们面对的国家安全威胁将会大有帮助。这个超党派的国防授权法为我们的部队及其家庭提供历史性程度的支持，包括数十年来最大幅的部队加薪。它授权了对我们部队在捍卫我们国家并推进美国在全球利益所需的人员、平台及项目破纪录的投资。法案也加速尖端技术，如超高音速及人工智能的发展，以提供我们部队在战场上的关键优势。”

2.共和党首席议员威克(Roger Wicker)说：“国会再次有一个机会向中国及俄罗斯发出明确无误的信号，那就是我们坚定地致力于一个‘以实力保和平’的议程”威克说，他对与众议院合作将此案送到总统桌上感到乐观。
