2020 wasn’t a super productive year for me art-wise bc ive been so focused on school and moving and such!! but i did find some stuff

1. these posters for the grinning man! i got into the grinning man musical over the summer. like really into it. so much that i started reading (but did not finish) the man who laughs. i have a habit of ignoring the original aesthetic of musicals and doing whatever i want w/ graphics but i actually went w/ the circus vibe for this one. i think they turned out okay! several ppl told me they wanted to buy them so thats also cool lmao

2. these orpheus “live in concert” posters i had so much fun making these and looking at old vintage folk concert posters for inspiration. i had been wanting to create something like this for a super long time and even tho theyre definitely not perfect i feel like i learned a lot and elevated some of my graphic making skills w/ them!

3. this orpheus/eurydice doodle i didn’t get to do a lot of art this year bc i havent had time/havent been able to get my tablet to work with my laptop but! i was gifted a new tablet for the holidays so ive been able to get back into drawing!! this piece isn’t particularly good or special but im glad i can like, still draw even after almost a year of not doing it lol

4. this newsies graphic newsies is one of my fav musicals and i always feel rly bad i don’t make stuff for it!!!! this was also another case where i actually adhered to the musical’s original color palette (or tried to lmao) and i think they came out alright!

5. these hbd reeve carney gifs lmao this is random but honestly this was the gifset i struggled with the most out of this entire year fjslkdfjsl i hate coloring interviews because the lighting is always ugly & getting multiple interviews to match was so insanely difficult i almost gave up on this one. im glad i didnt tho bc this set was just an excuse to use that wild quote
