Ivan's only been separated/divorced from Vinogradova for less than a year — and he's already engaged again.

Ivan Vasiliev is THE WORST EVER!  At no point does he have any other expression but this!  He is not being seduced he just sucks.  Sucks.

Oh this one was so fun to pick. For Zeke, I would assign Ivan Vasiliev's Flames of Paris!

I don't think it's an exaggeration that Vasiliev doesn't jump so much as he takes flight. It's not just power either; he launches into those jumps and turns with aggression and almost recklessness that I find so captivating. There's a thrilling kind of danger to watching him dance. Vasiliev has this wild intensity to him, like he is going absolutely as hard as he can from the word, "go."

Whenever I watch Vasiliev, I always feel like I'm in on a secret with him. It feels like right before he starts, he looks at the audience and says, "Hey, guys, watch this😏." I think Zeke and Ivan would be annoying (affectionate) in exactly the same ways.

I just noticed something quite odd. Ivan Vasiliev is not on the Bolshoi’a website…🤔.

Anyone out there know what’s going on? He recently performed in Ivan the Terrible on June 6th. I was on vacation during this time. Clearly I missed something.

Kekhman sucks dont get me wrong. But if Vasiliev is injured why is he dancing 2 spartacus in 3 days this week??

I don't know the state of his injury or how recovered he is from his shoulder surgeries. Surgery recovery can feel really strange, one day you feel really strong and another it's like you can barely walk. Quite honestly, Vasiliev probably needs to do a better job managing his schedule as he ages and sustains more injuries. Unforuntaltey, we're talking about a person who has consistently put risk-taking above his health. But if he canceled a performance an hour before, then he was already at MK theater warming up and getting dressed. For someone to cancel that last minute, something had to have been seriously wrong.

That being said, this whole situation could have been solved with a private meeting between the two. There was no need for Kekhman to publically shame Vasiliev and criticize both his character and his dancing. Grow up, act like an adult, and have a proper conversation about how to solve the problem. And honestly, it's Kekhman's loss...that's more performances for Ivan at BT and less money coming into MK from his guestings.

He did the EXACT same thing with Osipova when she fell ill with COVID-19 the night after an ROH performance that had a big reception afterward, she was taken to the hospital, and *shock* missed her flight to come to Russia to rehearse Nikiya the next day. She was unable to contact Kekhman because she was so ill and that same day he blasts her in the press, canceling her performances of Bayadere which were due to happen in about a month. ROH director Kevin O'Hare spoke up for her and apologized, as well as her fiance (now husband I think?), contemporary dancer Jason Kittelberger. Even after all that, Kekhman doubles down in a following interview, banning her from the MK.

TLDR, Vasiliev needs to take better care of himself and his schedule, but Kekhman is an irredeemable, unprofessional, childish piece of trash and I have no respect for him
