In the beginning of your relationship they’d get all flustered and have this goofy grin on their face whenever you’d smother their face in kisses. Oh? And how do they react now? The exact same! Literally nothing has changed since the first time you’ve kissed them, they still giggle and look away. No matter how long its been they just can’t seem to get used to your affection

They could be hit by a bus going 200mph, in critical condition and one kiss on the nose from you would get them up and doing a little jig going yippee!

They might pretend to be annoyed or irritated but really that's just because they love playful banter and it’s pretty obvious how they feel about your kisses by the way they laugh and refuse to let you pull away

Their favorite moments with you are when you're laying over them somewhere enjoying each others company with your hands on their cheeks and your lips all over their face

They're pretty ticklish overall so kiss sessions usually turn into laughing fits

Although 99% of the kisses you share are all in good fun there are those times when they're sad or angry and you're kisses can't help but feel a bit more intimate and loving (please kiss their tears away!!!)

i've seen this girl on tiktok lately who is japanese and she's spending time in america, idk if she's just visiting or has moved here or whatever, but she's just excitedly doing things that she doesn't do in japan, and its so cute

like i saw one where she's just giggling and waving at strangers and getting waves in response and like yeah! that's so adorable! and thats one of the things that i personally really like about american culture too! the random waves or smiles or even full on conversations with strangers thing. i have anxiety and am terrified about talking to people but even i love that stuff so much

my partner is a super friendly and approachable guy and there are times when he comes home from work and is like "so i was talking to this guy i met at the grocery store and he told me about his divorce and [other personal things you wouldn't typically speak to a stranger about]" and i find it so endearing and funny. like i know he's an easy guy to talk to but still

even antisocial me has had some random conversations with strangers and i just thought that was normal and that people were like that everywhere

one time i was in a dispensary and a guy started talking to me telling me he liked my shoes and then went on to have a conversation about how people got their drugs in the hood in NYC, like he was all "you just walk up to your plugs house and they slip it through the door and you just leave, ain't that wild? it's the same in this place but like, official" like yeah random man standing in line behind me at the drug store, that's super interesting and i'm glad you decided to give me this information!

farmers that pass me when i'm on my walks will pull up beside me and say hello and point out how fun it is that the neighborhood dogs will join me

there was a guy that worked at the walmart where i lived in idaho and every time i'd go shopping he would start talking about his life to me like "my wife just had a baby and i love her so much, i can't wait to go home and play with her" or "my wife and i went to a metal concert and it was wild, got so drunk, had a blast" like YES tell me MORE!!!

my sister and i were driving around the city one night and we saw a guy who i'm pretty sure was doing some graffiti behind this building and my sister just hung out the window of her car and was like "hey what are you doing?" and he told her he got hired to paint a mural on the building and she was like "sick, whatcha gonna draw? how much did they pay you? you do it at night?" and they had a full fuckin convo and then when we were driving away my sister was like "he's totally lying lol"

if you got tattoos showing, people are gonna ask about them, wonder at their meaning, ask if they hurt, tell you their own plans for tattoos or show you the ones they got

the chatty cashiers are gonna ask about my plans for holidays and tell me theirs and also what they bought their grandson and everyone EVERYONE is gonna talk about the weather and it's always the same conversation but it's always so friendly and ends with "well, have a nice rest of your day!" and i dunno man i think it's cute

i have a LOT to complain about when it comes to america, like i genuinely believe it's hell on earth sometimes, but there are times when i see a video of buskers on the street getting passersby to dance and sing along with them, or a crowd of young people stop to watch a stranger pull off a sick move on his skateboard and they all surround him with cheers and hugs, and i see ladies stop each other to compliment their outfits and shower each other in praise before continuing on their way with a big smile and i remember that there's so much good too man idk it just gets me. i really like these people🥲

This is late but i saw that anon you replied to who said they’re gen z but never got into IG or tiktok. I’m 22 and never had a facebook, twitter, instagram, and definitely will never have a tiktok. N tbh i truly am out of touch with people my age because of it, i fr do not relate to alot of women my age because they’re so into social media culture and are still in the dark depths of being super influenced to hate themselves and their natural bodies and to center men in their life, and I’m already at the better part of healing of all the self hatred and sexual objectification of myself, and i fully put that on me not being on these platforms like.. ever. I know for a fact i’d be the worst, most unhealthy me if i did what most women my age do on social media🤷‍♀️ but it’s a lot of pressure still, cause i feel extremely behind, and it’s isolating because i just don’t give a fuck to constantly talk about my appearance, tiktok beauty trends, dating and whatever else, it always seems to be the go to conversations when I’m in a group of women my age, it just drags me back to 16-17 year old me harming herself in many different ways to be “That Girl”. They talk how i did, it’s not a healthy setting or topics that should be constantly talked about for me or for anyone tbh, it’s too common for gen z women to bond over hating their bodies and the hyper sexualization of themselves. Imo it is a very different mindset between gen z women who are a part of social media culture and gen z women who are not. That’s just my personal experience and observation though!

yeah i hear you it's sad honestly...... TBH i dont separate myself from this because i'm also influenced by those types of social media platforms like a lot of women my age are, but just to a lesser extent. they're really built to shape your mind and have you reliant on them for a sense of validation and dopamine, literally like a drug lmfao. every other week there's a new trend on tiktok instilling insecurities directly into ppls heads and ppl even call it out for its ridiculousness but then will still internalise the message, it's exhausting.....anyway i get you. that's why i never got into insta really because i just couldn't fathom everything being so aesthetic and appearance-driven, all that performance and influencers dominating the space normalising extreme plastic surgery and face tune and tummy teas and whatever else - obviously you can curate your own feed, but it never felt fun at all. i think what you said about young women bonding over hating ourselves is extremely pertinent, so true. i see it all the time, in even the most casual of exchanges, and i think it'd be obtuse to say social media hasn't played a giant role in that! it upsets me bc i always wonder who we could all be and how we would all see ourselves if we hadn't been raised on this mental diet of bodies as a beauty trend and a commodity. im really glad you managed to circumvent this issue by building a healthy relationship with yourself and your own mind, without any sort of online pressure telling you who or what to be. i get that it can be isolating, though. hopefully in the future we'll see more ppl taking social media breaks and focusing on their mental health a little more, then it won't be so alienating. maybe that's wishful thinking on my part though, lmfao. ty for sharing <3

Things from the 2000s that have returned and could return

Well guys, you know that I LOVE everything that has to do with the 2000s, the 90s and the 70s. I had planned this blog for several months but for reasons (Breakdowns, school, exams and etc...) I couldn't do this blog,

So let's look at some trends from the 2000s that have come back very quietly and others that could come back faster than you think!

1.- The iconic Highlights of the 2000s:

If there is one thing that came back from the 2000s with a pretty big improvement it would be The Highlights, this style was worn by girls like Christina Aguilera (Especially in 2000 and 2002), Kelly Clarkson (in her American Idol and Debut Era), Shakira ( During Laundry Service Era). Well this style is back, the other day a girl at my high school was wearing them and they looked great on her, and this post leads me to the next one.

2.-The Pouf hairstyle:

The most iconic hairstyle of the mid to late 2000s, was worn by almost everyone from Britney Spears, Xtina, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Scherzinger, Hilary Duff and etc... (The greatest heyday of this hair style could be said which was the years 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007), well, what if I told you that this style is making a comeback so to speak? I have seen several people wearing this style, including a friend. (I think the girl in this picture is Addison Rae):

3.- The Gladiator Sandals:

Gladiator sandals or as I like to call them: Roman sandals, I wouldn't know very well if this is very mid 2000s or early 2010s (But investigating well, it could be said that these sandals began to be worn in 2004), this type of Shoes were very essential for boho chic (very characteristic aesthetic of the mid 2000s), Kate Moss and every girl who had the boho chic style wore them. Well, it turns out that when I went on vacation to the beach, I saw a woman with gladiator sandals, would you wear gladiator sandals?

4.-Thin eyebrows:

One of the most hated trends of the 2000s (having its origins in the 20s and 30s), thin brows are making a somewhat chaotic comeback, Doja Cat, Bella Hadid, Rihanna, Barbie Ferreira and other celebrities are embracing this trend. . In my honest opinion, thin brows would look good If only they looked a bit thick plus the brows of the moment would be Fluffy Brows (Which I find pretty unlike Instagram Brows, which scare me a bit as they give a feeling of anger)

5.-Jewelry:

Jewelry in the 2000s was so varied (from hoop earrings, pearl necklaces and rings) it's making a big comeback, I've seen a lot of guys wearing rings on almost every finger on their hands and I've seen a lot of girls with the earrings from earrings, One of the celebrities who is embracing y2k fashion with a lot of style is our dear Riri, I find her outfits super cute, especially this one with jewelry:

6.-Emos?:

The emos were the most iconic subculture of the 2000s, after their disappearance, a great return was expected and precisely with the return to the mainstream of Pop Punk, the subculture could also be returning. Honestly, I have a somewhat conceptualized idea of the possible emos of this decade: Smokey Eyes like Damiano David or Victoria de Angelis, Wearing dark lipsticks or glosses like Willow, Copying MGK's style in a certain way

7.-Scene Kids:

The same as the Emos, only that the scene Kids are characterized by the use of bright colors, the celebrity that is imposing the possible return of the Scene Kids would be Avril Lavigne, who with her album "Love Sux" showed an image more similar to a Scene Kid:

8.-Gaucho Pants:

One of the trends of the 2000s that I personally find great, Ashlee Simpson and Nicole Richie were some of the celebrities who wore this style in the 2000s. This year the Gaucho Pants are beginning to be seen again thanks to some models and TikTok, although Dua Lipa has also worn them

9.-French Tips:

The French Tips were the most iconic nail style of the 2000s (especially if they were a bit small and checkered), they looked simple and pretty, and that's why for their return, they decided to adapt to the tastes of each person (Now the line white can be painted the color you like the most or you can even make some different designs), I like this return of french tips! And you?

10.-Navel Piercing:

This trend was obviously going to come back yes or yes thanks to the revival of Low Rise jeans and the whale tail, I have always liked this trend and I feel that it can shine with a Mid Rise and a Low Rise (I plan to do navel piercing before the end of August)

11.- Uggs:

I saved the best/worst trend for last, yes folks... Uggs are making a comeback (In their original form)I've seen several guys and girls wearing uggs (very similar to the original ones from the 2000s), honestly I wouldn't use that trend, but since I live in a bit of a cold place, some uggs wouldn't do me any harm haha

I had nothing to talk about originally and then bam, had to cut stuff out of my video because I felt it was getting extremely long. Not bad for filming one day and editing the next.

I'm waiting for another book to come in the mail and then I think next week I'll make a video talking about my books unless something else comes up.

I am not enjoying the current work schedule me and my husband have tbh. Last week was my fault because I somehow chose to work monday-friday. I said I was never going to do that. I feel like a huge slug because I worked all week and was sick the week before and I havent been to the gym in a few weeks. But both me and my husband havent been getting home until super late in the evening. He was actually at work this entire past week until well after I went to bed so I hardly ever saw him. He worked yesterday and today he's spent half the day passed out catching up on sleep as if he worked a night shift. I already have a sensitive stomach but having to eat dinner so late in the afternoon is killing my gut too. Ugh, my previous coworkers if they're reading this are like "haha!".

but its hard to do anything artsy when the sun is down. Its honestly like work>>rush home>>cook dinner>>play on tiktok>>pass out. And start over again.

bright side is my next paycheck will look nice.

today actually I did get brave and drive out to a cafe. I'm still kinda nervous to drive off post. The bright side about our current location is there is a lot of amenities however everything is simultaneously super spread out, super far out but also super congested. I feel like I have to travel super far to get anywhere but at the same time there is SO MANY PEOPLE. Its so weird but I'm such a nervous driver that I just can't with this many people. But I did get a panini and a coffee today which felt nice. I meant to go to the BIG target but got my roads confused and went to the wrong one. Which was fine. I just havent been to a tjmaxx or target in a long time and I just wanted to browse. Its kind of funny how much money I've been saving because I'm too nervous/lazy to drive to the local shopping centers. One of these days I'd like to venture to a couple shops and thrift stores in the area. Theres one thrift store that looks like they carry a bunch of girly 1980s supplies. Their photos had a lot of MLP, Rainbow Bright and carebears..and like mm..girl take me there. And a cute look tea shop opened that looks like it has unhealthy desert acai bowls that look good for hot weather. I got to wear shorts yesterday, HEY! yay hot weather.

but I agree'd to work monday-wednesday this week and we will be going out of town again here soon in a couple weeks.

As the video suggests hopefully I'll scan in my illustration and upload it, I'm not sure if I like it 100% so we will see.

Catholic Comfort

So, after waking up this morning I was browsing YT shorts - no, I don't have TikTok, I don't want TT, I have a rule in life that the most important thing you can do for yourself is 'know yourself'. I know myself well enough to know that while I struggle to create the habits and routines I *want*, I almost immediately set in stone the ones I had zero will or intention to make, and that would almost without doubt apply to TT. So I simply don't allow access to it lol. Anyway, a video about two sisters came up on my feed, one had taken her Vows and became a Catholic Nun. It was talking about the judgements people often make about a life within a Covenant. The sister who is not a Nun was speaking about what she observed her sisters life to be, within the order etc.

I was a little confused, I don't engage much with religion so I wasn't sure how the alogo-overlords connected me to this particular video. Clicking on the channel, I saw the young woman is something of a religious trad-wife.

For me the whole point of 'feminism' is not 'to only promote working mothers who are independent, high earners' but more that 'every person regardless of their gender, age, and socioeconomic, race, or other characteristic should have a choice on the life that they want and be supported in order to pursue and achieve that choice. If someone wants to be a stay at home parent, they should be able to do that. But equally if they wish to work, they should have support for that too. Additionally, and this is a much broader, nuanced conversation that I am not trying to get into in its entirety right now, I feel like life sometimes takes an unexpected turn. Whether a person in this moment believes that they currently want and will always want to be the stay and home spouse, this does not preclude the individual from falling victim to unexpected changes and them themselves changing their minds. I believe strongly it is wise to ensure all are educated in academic and life skills to a point where they can live independently and know how to enter the work force. If the working spouse suddenly passes away, the stay-at-home spouse may suddenly find themselves not only grieving, a single parent, but also having never been in the work force with no clue how to take that step. That's an overwhelming prospect to figure out while coming to terms with such a monumental loss. But, so anyway, all of this is to say that I don't understand why people make fun of Trad-Wives. Surely the point is CHOICE?

I got a little off my main point there, sorry - So, one of the YT shorts was talking about Catholicism being alive and well - which, I wasn't aware anyone was questioning, but okay. Suddenly, and super unexpectedly, I'm crying.

What. The. .... I dunno man.

I wasn't diagnosed as neurodivergent until my late twenties. But in hindsight, there's a lot of 'performance' in catholic worship, and I don't mean that in a negative, diminishing or insulting way. I recall my time at church with warmth, fondness, safety and community.

But for a kid who struggled with social nuance and interactions, going to a place every Sunday where the people were 'safe', there were 'costumes' (Sunday church clothes), 'actors' (our Father stood outside greeted us, and said goodbye to each of us at the end, while there were variations, it was a relatively known interaction. A stage (the alter, and where the Father spoke from, with a microphone.) with musicians (the band for the songs), with songs and scripts (hymns, and responses that were expected. Like 'The Lord be with you' and we respond 'and with your spirit' or 'and also with you'

I found comfort in that, while I had questions about higher powers and organised religion itself, I think maybe that's why I cried but I'm not sure and I would really love anyone else's thoughts here honestly.

Do you have a specialty dish that you're really good at making? I have lots, actually! I’m a really good cook.

What video games did you play when you were growing up? Video games weren't a huge part of my childhood but I did play a lot of Sims when we had a computer that would run it and I remember playing Mario Kart and Crazy Taxi with my cousins.

Are you good at making big decisions alone or do you tend to seek approval from others? My husband and I make big decisions together. If it’s something I’m unsure about, I’ll consult different opinions online but it’s very, very rare that I’ll talk to a real life person about it. I just think its better to make your decisions privately rather than getting everyone you know’s input.

Does your town or city have good public transport, or is it easier to drive? You have to have a car here. There’s a very limited bus route and no taxi service.

What was the last cocktail you drank? Oh god, I don’t know. I don’t drink very often.

Are you good at keeping running counts and tallies in your head? Um...depends on the thing I guess?

Does your country have its own edition of Big Brother? I assume so? I’ve never watched it tho.

How often do you take a nap during the day? I’ve been napping a lot more frequently lately (which isn’t saying much as it used to be never) but it’s still pretty sparse. I would say once every couple weeks?

What social media platforms do you use? Instagram and TikTok are my two main ones and then I check Facebook every so often but I have notifications turned off and I don’t post anything. I only ever use Tumblr for porn and surveys.

sitting in the airport, you waited for ranboo and his parent’s to pick you up. the california heat was absolutely miserable, burning you up. everyone in the airport seemed miserable, covered in the slick of sticky sweat. leaning your head over the back of your chair, you stared at the fluorescent lights.

seeing someone shouting your name you picked your head up, only to flop it back down. how fucking tall was that kid…? would he crush you? stomp on you like a large goblin man? take you with his long arms and kidnap you, like slenderman? seriously, what the fuck were his parents feeding that kid????

after a few more seconds of indulging your strange thoughts of the possible cryptids ranboo may be related to ((mothman possibly??) please?), he walked over and stuck his head over yours.

“hello!” he stared at you from above, your brain racing with ‘tall man… tall man scary. but tall man friend…? confuse brain: ACTIVATE’ .

“uh, hello ranboo.” you went to pick your head up from over the back of your chair, clashing skulls with ranboo. tall man = threat.

sitting on the floor you held your head, wishing you could simply evaporate in the sky and then be rained down on the earth. maybe droplet-you would land somewhere colder, like greenland. or alaska. knowing your luck, you’d probably enter the fiery pits of a volcano. maybe a desert. life is a misery of pain cursing you to feel the heat radiating of the sun. your existence was the explosion of one of the endless stars occupying outer space.

“uh, you okay there? you’ve been sitting there for a few minutes now.” when you didn’t respond, ranboo made a confused noise. “i didn’t concuss you, did i?”.

“no, no you did not.” finally coming back to earth, you looked at ranboo. sure, you had known he was 6’6'' but the knowledge of his height was not the same as seeing him in person. you would just barely reach his height if you sat on the shoulders of a small child. even then, you would still be shorter, as the small child would be flailing around. heh. small children are funny.

standing up, you walked next to ranboo. with any other person you would be running to hug them. you had finally met one of your best friends, why weren’t you bursting at the seems. the simplest explanation for that is that he is so much taller when your next to him. thought he could crunch you like goblin earlier? wrong. you are jack and he is the beanstalk.

while he moved his arms for a hug, you patted his arms in a way that felt cryptic. ranboo, already accepting your strangeness, patted you back. after the arm-patting-friendship-initiation ceremony, you walked to the car. time to leave the stuffy airport.

throughout the entire car ride, you sat as far from ranboo as you could. when he slid closer to you to show you something funny, whether it was on tiktok or twitter, you tried to press yourself into the car door. yeah, you might’ve been over reacting but who cares? he was a foot and a half taller than you, were you supposed to welcome him with open arms? if anything, it's good you were afraid. it means your survival systems were still (somehow) intact and working properly.

once you arrived at the house, ranboo gave you your very own tour. within this tour, a pool was shown. a pool that would become your very new home. it was already decently late, which caused the enforcement of sleep. while you each went to your own rooms, you snuck out. pool time, as an escape from the blistering heat.

in the dark of the night, you jumped in the pool, ignoring the noise you made. finally, a reprieve from the merciless, miserable heat. “finally, sweet, sweet, cool water.” you let our a pleased sigh, reclining in the pool, floating on the surface and lightly kicking your feet.

with a quick end to your relaxation period, ranboo put his head through his window. “why are you in the pool?? its like two in the morning??” he stared down at you and you stared back. subconsciously, you moved further away from the house.

“... hot. i wanted a reprieve from the rise of hell.”

ranboo laughed and yelled back to you. “yeah, i expected that. i’ll be down soon.”

you yelled back a “wha-!” but he had already moved away from the window. he was coming down there to what? join you in the pool with his tall-ness?

you heard the back door slide open and out came ranboo. it seemed he also did not have the energy to change, both of you in normal clothing. Running torwars the pool, he jumped in, covering you in water.

“oh my god! jesus! why is it so cold?!?” his head popped up and he was trying to push all his hair out his face. while he swan towards you, you backed away. he paused. “look, i don’t know if you’re playing some prank on me or whatever, but why are you acting so scared of me? seriously, i was super excited to meet you and i understand if you’re tired, but what’s your deal right now?”.

you stared at him in silence. breaking the awkward silence, ranboo sighed and went to leave the pool. “... you’re too tall.” you muttered.

“what?” ranboo turned around and stared at you.

you sighed, accepting your fate. “you’re too tall. you’re like, a whole foot taller than me.”.

he stared at you before breaking into laughter. “are you kidding me? seriously? that is NO reason to be scared i’m not gonna hurt you.”.

you threw your head back. “i knowwww.”.

ranboo started dying laughing, and soon enough you joined him. breaking out in a coughing fit, you stared at him. “i know, i’m an idiot.” you moved from the corner of the pool and moved near ranboo.

“yeah, yeah, you are.” ranboo stared laughing at you and you could see him scheming.

“no. no. nonononononono.” ranboo picked you up and through you into the water as hard as he could. swimming up as fast as you could, you saw him grinning like a fox. “you bitch!”.

this started a disaster, of splashing each other and throwing people in the water. grabbing pool floaties, you both fell asleep in the water.

the next morning your behaviors were a bit different. “ranbooooo. i’m bored. hang out with me.” laying on his floor under an air conditioner, you looked at ranboo as he was editing a new video. from the corner of your eye, you could see a phone pointing at you. he better not post anything on tiktok.

“i’m editing.” he smiled and kept looking at the screen, ignoring you.

“like i give a shit. let’s go out. get ice cream.”

knowing you would never shut up, ranboo gave in to your idiocy. “alright…”.

quickly getting up, you forced him to take you to the ice cream shop, holding his hand all the way. arriving at the shop, ranboo was forced to pay for both cones.

smiling, you chuckled. “gold digger…” you heard him mutter.

sitting at the benches, you leaned your head on his shoulder. “so, what caused this change in personality?” ranboo leaned his head over to look at you.

“nghhhhh;;;;;;; no.” you laughed at him, knowing you were frustrating him.

“so you just magically decided i could be a replacement for a playground?”

“i just got an idea! let’s go to the park! we can play on the playground.” ranboo sighed. you were the embodiment of :3, and definitely a handful.

Seeing your abusive ex: Bokuto Scenario

Based on something that happened to me today and ended with me having to call my auntie to calm me down while I cried hysterically in my car. This is based in my own symptoms but is not an extensive or absolute list. This cute boi is my comfort character from Haikyuu. You were sure the car behind you was one you had seen before, as it popped up four times on your walk home you started feeling anxious. The first time has been when you left work, it was parked across the road with lights turned off as you left the building. The second and third time were when you went and left the supermarket to get dinner ingredients that you had forgotten yesterday. This time however, you were sure it was following you as you walked home. And if you were right it belonged to your abusive ex-boyfriend, one that you hadn’t seen in over two years since you threw him out after you gathered the strength to do so.

You knew not to walk too fast or too slow, you were holding a deodorant can in your pocket and had your safety alarm in your other hand with your keys. Your main issue was getting home safe. If you went home, he would follow you and know where you live. If you went to a friend’s house, she could be in danger and you didn’t want anyone to experience what you had. At the same time, it was getting a little dark and being out after sunset was just as bad. You could feel the memories of the abuse flash through your mind like a film reel, the familiar feeling of terror as you re-lived what happened. Your breath was catching in your throat as you walked, not from exertion but from sheer panic. You tried the breathing techniques your therapist had given you, tried thinking about you lovely boyfriend and the happy memories you had made together, but nothing stopped the darkness clouding your brain.

On impulse, you dialled Koutaro’s number, knowing he was at practice there was a small chance he would pick up and if he didn’t, your best friend was next. Glancing behind you again, you stayed on busy main roads as you walked, willed and prayed to God that he picked up his phone. Weaving through people hoping that he would lose sight of you and give up, at least long enough for you to get home safely.

“Hey gorgeous, I was just going to message you. I-“

“Kou... Kou... I...l...”

Your voice broke off in sobs as you spoke, the world around you seeming too small and the noises too loud as you walked. You had a small idea where you were, relying on muscle memory walking around the city but right now, all you cared about was the car that kept coming in and out your vision.

“Baby, whats’s wrong? Where are you?”

“I...”

Bokuto could hear your voice catch as you spoke, the sound hitting him right in the chest and making his heart hurt, he hated being on the other side of the city as he practiced for his upcoming match. It wasn’t often that he heard you like this, the nightmares had decreased and apart from the one time you opened up about a past relationship, you had never been this fearful.

“Baby, listen. It’s me, its Kou. Focus on my voice ok? Forget everything else. I love you. Tell me where you are.”

“I don’t know, Kou.” A pause as he heard you take a deep breath. “I’m scared.”

“I know, baby. Tell me what you see ok? You know this city way better than I do. Remember when I got lost on the way to your house? How late was I to our first date? I’m so lucky you agreed to a second one. You know this city like the back of your hand.”

You focused on the sound of his voice, the usual soothing melody as he spoke to you. The same voice that lulled you to sleep when you had a bad dream and screamed with happiness when you played games together. The one that groaned in your ear when he was too tired to moved or whispered how good it felt being inside you. Your bubbly, cute baby owl boyfriend. Remembering the instance he spoke about, he had gotten so lost that he was an hour late for your first date. You, thinking you had been stood up, had changed out your outfit and into a onesie. By the time he arrived, he had sweat through his shirt and looked like he’d walked about 50 miles. Being hesitant about the second date, he showed up with flowers an hour early and patiently waited outside while you got ready. His logic being the he could make the time up... somehow.

Telling him what you could see and reading out the name of the roads, you could hear his team in the background. Hinata being over-excited as usual, you could imagine him jumping up and down annoying everyone while Kageyama beat him up. While the other members were mumbling other background, Atsumu’s distinct accent was clear compared to everyone else. They were always so lively when you visited, jumping to talk to you or show you new moves, always thankful for the food and snacks you bought. Even if it made your boyfriend super jealous.

“Well done, baby. You’re doing so well. I’m so proud of you. Listen, you’re near Akaashi’s house ok? Remember him? He’s a year younger than me? We played in high school together. You met at our school reunion a while back. He’s a comic designer now.”

Casting your mind back, you nodded to yourself when you remembered the calm guy with dark hair that your boyfriend got along with so well despite being complete opposing personalities. The number of times you had heard ‘Akaashi’ shouted at various points, you had taken to copying Bokuto that night, much to Akaashi’s chagrin and your boyfriend’s delight.

“He’s expecting you ok? He’s a good friend of mine baby, I trust him with my life. He’ll keep you safe until I get there.”

Giving you his address, you started walking towards his apartment, it was near a main road and looking around you couldn’t see the vehicle anywhere. The panic from earlier still humming through your veins as you walked towards your destination.

“Kou, but-“

“Baby, don’t start saying anything. I know you’re thinking that you’re disrupting practice or ruining my game. That it’s a headache coming all the way over there when you haven’t even told me what’s wrong.”

His tone was calm and collected, but his words rang straight through your brain triggering your panic even further and the tears that had dried now coming back full force.

“Kou. I’m sorry.”

“Woah, hey. Don’t ever apologise. Ok? I never wanna hear you apologise for stuff like this. I’m leaving now. Go to Akaashi’s house and I’ll be there in as soon as I can, ok?”

“Ok, Kou. Thank you.”

“Welcome, baby. Love you.”

Waiting around for your boyfriend was making you edgy, you couldn’t sit still. What if your ex had seen Bokuto? What if he’d seen you come here? But you hadn’t seen him, a car was easy to spot right? What if he was tracking you? You had changed your number though? Akaashi had popped in twice to check on you, once to bring you a blanket and hot tea and the second time to ask if you wanted food. The tea was swirling in your stomach, the crying had made you fell nauseous and you were sure that your stomach would revolt against any food. Hearing voices from the hallway, your body tensed expecting the worst.

He found you.

He was going to hurt you again.

Instead, familiar grey-black hair popped up from behind the door and while your heart was still in your throat, the sight of him made the thread of fear loosen a little. Dropping his bag, Bokuto walked over to you before kneeling in front of you and holding your face in his hands as he leaned his forehead against yours. Thumbs wiping away any remnants of tears, he kissed you nose, cheeks and forehead before pulling you into his arms. The feel of his arms around you, the scent of his aftershave and faint smell of sweat from his sports wear eased the tension in your body a little but could do nothing against the sobs that broke free again.

“Shh, it’s ok baby. I got you. I’ll always have you. You’re safe now.”

“Kou... I saw him. He... he was behind me.”

Bokuto knew instantly who you meant, he wished he could personally do something about him but between his career and your fear, the idea of beating your ex to a pulp didn’t seem plausible. While he wasn’t super close with Daichi, he knew Kuroo was and was going to reach out and do something about it. Holding you at arms length, he brushed away your tears and kissed your forehead again, linking your wrists together so your couple bracelets latched on to each other. They were something you had seen on TikTok, two bracelets with magnets that would link when they were close. You thought he would reject the idea at first, but Bokuto thought they were the best way to show everyone you were his girl. Plus it gave him a great excuse to your hold hand when you went everywhere.

“See, baby? Look how these magnets find each other and attract one another. Just like you and me. Nothing could keep me away from you. I’ll always find you. Okay?”

You nodded, glancing down at the bracelets and then up at your boyfriend. His amber eyes full of worry but love and the way he held you like you were something so precious.

“Plus, if he tries anything I’ll beat him up, have you seen these muscles baby?”

You snorted as Bokuto flexed his arm, muscles straining against the sleeve of his tee and couldn’t help but fall into his chest giggling as he squished you. The tears from earlier forgotten as you embraced the loving nature of your gorgeous boyfriend.

Sam and tubbo are filling in the oshun, having a bit of a q&a when someone asks Sam if he has a girlfriend and someone slips up a lil.....

“Oh Tubbo my moms in the chat! Hi mom!” Sam made a quick glance at his stream labs to see his mom had popped in.

“Your mom watches the streams? Pog!” Tubbo let out a airy laugh.

“Yeah my mom is so cool, everyone tell my mom she's cool in chat please. Okay next question, Tubbo do you have one?” Sam finished a row of sand finding his inventory also empty so he made his way over to the chests.

“I think I do Sam, ellewastaken, what do you guys do all day when you're not streaming? Personally I eat and go to school and edit, that's about it” Tubbo smiled and shook his head a bit at his boring schedule.

“Same for me too I guess, we streamers aren't super exciting.” He nodded, agreeing with tubbo, “Chat what are you spamming?” Sam paused what he was doing to try to read the chat that was going incredibly fast. One of his mods, catching his confusion one of his mods dmed him a screenshot of what his mom said in chat that caused the little uproar,

your schedule is not boring anymore with y/n around that's a bit of a lie.

“Mom!” He laughed a tad as he spoke “Mom you've doxed your own son! They don't know about that yet.” He shook his head to himself, she didn't do it on purpose because she had no idea he had yet to mention it to his viewers. Sam wasn't particularly hiding you, there wasn't really a reason to, you didn't post pictures of him or yours faces publicly so that wasn't a problem, he just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

You were sitting across the room quietly like you'd been doing for his streams lately, scrolling through twitter or tiktok or doing some schoolwork just keeping him company. You perked your head up at that though, curious to what she could've said.

“Your mom doxed you? What?!” Tubbo laughed loudly.

“Okay chat relax, relax, y/n is actually my girlfriend,” You sat up completely now, fully listening.

“You've got a girlfriend Sam? That's so cool! Congratulations!” Tubbo smiled wildly, Even his chat was excited for Sam.

“I do! Thank you Tubbo!” he chuckled. “She's awesome, She's here too, she sits with me while I stream so im not lonely, when Tubbos not here of course.” He looked back to you seeing your shocked face, he gave you a small nod and a smile, calming you a bit.

You hadn't given a thought about what it would be like when his audience was aware of your existence.

“merinaxbc asked how long have you and your girlfriend been together, I have a feeling a bunch of these questions are gonna be getting asked around now” He chuckled, “We’ve been together for..5 months? I think? I think im right.” He turned back to look at you, seeing you nodding happily.

“kerilinmemegod asked, does y/n also play Minecraft? Oh its so strange seeing you guys know her name, she does like Minecraft but she mostly likes games like animal crossing. We’ve been playing that a lot lately.” Him and Tubbo were making their way towards Sam’s base for some more sand and food.

Tubbo and Sam talked about some smp things and things for mcc while they worked, answering a few questions here and there.

“I'm getting a whole lot of questions about y/n now I feel like I should let her answer them. Tubbo do you wanna talk to y/n maybe?” He looked back to you silently asking if you'd be okay with his idea, you gave him a small nod.

“Sure! You should just be glad Tommy's not here.” He giggled.

“I am, I am, okay here she is!” You slid a chair over as he pulled off his headset holding out for you. You situated your chair next to his on the side with his mic, taking his headset from his hand.

“Hello!” You grinned with excitement, You'd known of Tubbo, and you adored him! You thought he was so sweet and you loved listening to him and Sam.

“Hi! Hi Sam’s girlfriend! Its so nice to meet you Sam’s girlfriend!!” You could hear his grin though his voice.

“Hi tubbo! Its nice to meet you too!” You grinned up at your boyfriend as he was smiling towards you shaking his head at how you were practically vibrating in excitement.

“You gotta answer questions, look at these,” He pointed towards his stream labs on one of his monitors. You read through the latest few and decided on one from a minute ago since it was the first one you saw.

“How tall is Sam? tall tall.” Sam defiantly towered over you quite a bit, he loved it to, being able to lift you and hold you so comfortably.

“Is he really?” Tubbo asked

“He’s like..6′5?” you looked towards him, “Close, 6′7.″ he nodded looking at his screen placing sand.

“Surely not! That's huge!” Tubbo looked at his face cam in astonishment.

You laughed, looking towards the stream labs for more questions, “We don't live together, maybe soon though. I am in school! Regular college nothing as smarty pants as him.”

You sat answering questions as they came in, occasionally talking with tubbo in-between.

The entire time Sam was grinning. he adored listening to you talk to his community and one of his best friends, you were so adorable too. You got excited with certain questions, happy to tell stories of you two. He thought you were absolutely perfect, and it seemed like chat did too!

Ten on his new Represent capsule, grappling with creativity, and evading genre lines.

As Ten Lee - a vocalist and dancer in K-pop groups NCT (with whom he debuted in 2016) and Super M, and Chinese group WayV - is musing over his proclivity for partnering music or visual styles in a way that others deem strange, he veers off on a tangent. “Anything can be matched… except juice and coffee,” he says, suddenly. “Those two should never be.” Ten is infamously anti-fruit. It stems from a mistaken process of association in childhood where “I had the image of a spider and the image of fruit mixed up,” he laughs awkwardly, “so now whenever I put fruit in my mouth, I think there’s spiders in my mouth.”

Random abstractions such as this pepper his rapid-fire conversation, like small fireworks fizzing through the dark. Excitable, enthused and sharply alert, if Ten’s energy was visible it would be a shimmering mantle of gold and silver dust. As a dancer, he moves with a sinuous, controlled power that can shift from elegant to explosive on a single beat. As a visual artist, the Bangkok-born, multilingual 25-year-old recently added the title of designer to his growing list of achievements, launching an already sold out collaboration with the bespoke merch platform Represent.

Aptly, he named his collaboration “What is ??? THE ANSWERS”, for although being a chameleonic artist is one of Ten’s greatest strengths, the personality traits that enable this created within him question marks around how he saw himself fitting into the world. “People ask me, ‘What kind of music do you like?’ And I say, ‘I like R&B but hope it sounds rock’. And they’re like, ‘That doesn’t make sense’.” It was troubling to Ten that people began telling him who he was and how he should be, instead of accepting him as is.

In a recent Instagram Live, the myriad of Ten’s contrasts tumble forthwith. He’s the doting cat-dad. His inner emo, who loves rock music, shows off dried roses, with the stern, black, geometric lines of the large tattoo on his inner right arm sometimes visible. But he’s also delicate in a way, with his butterfly tattoo and hair lightly permed, who names daisies as his other favourite flower, and plays Fousheé’s breathy TikTok hit, 'Deep End'.

“Have you seen the image where I have my name in a cross in lots of different languages?” He pulls the image up on his phone. The design sits on his Represent long sleeve tee. “I was thinking [about this], like, what you’re saying... Ten has this luvvie flower side and a very ‘rawwrr!’ side. I’m always like, ‘Ten, what kind of person are you?’ I do ask myself that, too, because everything I like is so different [to the other].” He could have conceded, and reined himself in. He’s pushed back instead. “I thought, ‘I can be anything I want, I can be this in the morning and this at night. I can be any person I want to be’. And that’s what makes me comfortable and happy.”

On his Instagram, Polaroids feature scrawled messages, like “Don’t tell me what to do!” and “Whatever! I’ll do it my way”. The designs of his collaboration seek to challenge being boxed in by other people’s standards, thus limiting ourselves. The recurring symbol of a cross tipped with arrows is a nod to the Chinese letter for 10, but doubles as a plus sign. He’s added it to his Instagram, writing “TEN_+•10” in his bio. “A plus sign can mean that you’re adding on and growing.” He points to another version of the arrow-cross, one with short diagonal dashes between its points that symbolise light. It means, he says, “that I’m radiating. I’m burning, I’m active, I’m doubling myself.” He touches his forearm, where crowning his geometric tattoo is a blazing sun. “I have this, like, if you want to be the light, you have to burn. I relate to that.”

This isn’t to say Ten’s self-exploration is complete. While celebrating his strengths, the artwork also portrays parts of himself not yet conquered. He admits to being a chronic overthinker: “Even very small things that happen to me, I rethink a thousand times, and I get stressed out because of the things I do. Like, the main theme [here] is me overthinking but trying to find an answer even though it doesn’t have any answer.” Fittingly, spiral shapes dominate his designs, looming large amongst bright, bold shapes that evoke 80s Pop Art and graffiti, though Ten shies away from defining himself as “fully an artist, I’m not in the position to say things like that yet.”

“I’m still learning and trying new things. You learn by getting different elements from different people and I’m in that stage now.” He enjoys wandering the infinite halls of Instagram and Pinterest where he screenshots art that he likes, lost in the images, often for hours. He explains that he’s mostly influenced by whatever his current visual obsession is. “I’m interested in tattoos lately so my paintings look like tattoo designs. I’m that person who, when they see stuff, it goes into my brain and instantly comes out from my hands,” he laughs.

Ten’s introduction to art and design was through his mother, who believed music, art and sport were more important in a child’s development than traditional academia. “She didn’t care if I got an A* or not, just don’t get an F or a D,” he grins. Like any kid forced to do something, Ten railed against spending his weekends at art school. He attended but he didn’t draw. He befriended his teacher and other pupils and, as they worked, he chatted. “I was a very talkative kid! When I came to SM Entertainment (in 2013), I had a lot of my own time because my parents were in Thailand and I was alone. I had to absorb all the new culture and adapt to a new environment.’” When he felt surrounded by “negative energy”, he began drawing, enamoured with the space and freedom it offered because in art, as he often says, “there’s no right answer.”

There is, however, sometimes a middle ground. His goal was to make the Represent collection accessible to his diverse fanbase. “I wanted to make things that people can easily wear because it was my first project to make something with clothes and it’s a collab. If you go too far out, no one will get it. If you go too far back, people won’t reach for it. So finding the middle ground is important but that’s the hardest thing to do. If it’s my own project, I’ll be like, ‘I’m the president of this brand, I’m gonna make all the weird clothes that I can imagine!’”

He sought second opinions to ensure his designs landed the way he hoped. “I have a lot of good friends around me - my choreographer, (SHINee and Super M member) Taemin hyung, my manager. I randomly ask people I’m comfortable with and have known for a long time, like Mark (Lee, of NCT and Super M). Mark has the same kind of perspective as me, but I’m a person who is arrghhh!” He waves his hands in the air. “And he’s very calm. I need a person who is opposite of me because when I’m in a mood, I talk nonsense - ‘I wanna do this, I wanna do that, I wanna make this!’ - and Mark’s like,’Bro, calm down’,” he says in a rather uncanny impression of the Canadian-Korean.

Ten works fast when he’s drawing. He has to. He describes his personality as someone who can't wait until the next day to do something. “I’m very impatient,” he smiles. “If I’m going to paint or draw, I’m going to finish it in, like, two hours. I can’t sit down for three hours.” When inspiration hits him, it’s off the back of deep contemplation, sometimes about the mundane - “Like, why do the cats come to me when they’re hungry only? Is it selfish or instinct? - at other times, something affecting him emotionally.

But whereas his job as a singer and dancer sees him project his energy outwards, art offers the opposite. He’s often alone in his room when he works. As is for many artists, the right mood is fundamental. “When I’m in a good mood, I can’t draw,” he half-sighs. It’s also a multi-sensory process. “Smell or the temperature of the room, that really helps me draw. I light three or four candles. And when I draw, it’s kind of heavy, the feeling,” he explains. “It feels like you’re sinking into something, into yourself, and everything seems so small. Everything narrows down into me, my pencil, the paper.”

The more work he does in different creative mediums, the less Ten’s desire is to keep them separate. His art, dance and music influence each other, whether it’s customising his own collaboration pieces, a choreography video in an art gallery or dancing underwater with a film crew. When someone tells him that something won’t work or match up well, he refuses to let the idea go until he’s attempted it.

“I’ve had that since I was young. I think everything is possible. If you don’t try, you don’t know. When people say it’s impossible, like dancing in water for three minutes, I’m like, then let’s make it possible. You don’t need to walk a straight line [in life], you can walk this way,” Ten says, pointing along an invisible line before switching sharply in direction. “Then go back on track, go that way, come back. No one should tell you to walk in a line, I don’t see the point of that.”
