false confessions | azriel
summary; you overhear azriel say something, and try to cooperate. word count; 4595 notes; based on this ask, that I got a little carried away with!
"I love her, I really do." Az sighed, your heart swelling a little as you listened from where you were perched within the library, Nesta at your side. When you'd heard the men come in, you'd been intent on going to see your mate, but they'd been talking, Cassian had been deep into a story about him and Nesta, and your friend had been adamant about hearing it out. So, you'd let her grab your wrist, sneaking the two of you deeper into the library, hiding away between the shelves where even Azriel's shadows had not bothered to slip away and investigate.
"But?" Rhysand prompted, your heart skipping a beat in your chest at the pause that followed, the silence seeming to drag on.
"But... she's so clingy sometimes." Azriel exhaled the words on a breath, and Cassian snickered a little in response. "I just- sometimes I want my peace and quiet, and it just feels like whenever we're together, she's right on top of me at home, we never just.. do our own thing."
Your stomach twisted, and Nesta's fingers tightened around your wrist as she was still gripping it. All playfulness was gone, though. She let go a second later, straightening up and brushing down her skirts primly, pausing only when you grasped her in response, shaking your head. You knew that your friend would defend you to the ends of the earth if you asked, but you didn't want her to. This wasn't her problem, or anyone else's, it was yours.
You were spinning, mind feeling like it was going a million miles an hour, the way it felt to fly home with Azriel when drunk after a night at Rita’s, while your stomach twisted the way it did the morning after said nights out. You weren’t sure where this problem had come from, up until now, you’d always thought Azriel liked the affectionate side of you, the part that just couldn't get enough of him. Clearly, that was not the case.
Your eyes tracked the movements of Azriel's shadows as they slithered out further, lazily, but inching ever closer to you and Nesta's position. Slowly, in an attempt not to get caught at all, you snuck backwards, taking her with you. Manoeuvring through the stacks, you stayed hidden, the two of you slipping out through the back exit and unseen, and in silence.
Only once their voices had entirely faded and you were slowing your pace between the twists and turns of the corridors did Nesta finally let a loud and obscene curse slip from her lips. "I'm gonna' kick ten tons of shit out of them all."
"No." The word was icy on your tongue, and her head snapped to you, You gave a soft wince in apology. "I'm not mad at him."
"What? Why not?"
"Because.. he's right. I am clingy, I just thought he liked that. I thought he liked when we were together, I never sensed anything otherwise down the bond, perhaps he's just good at hiding it. But, you heard him, he doesn't like it, so it's down to me to stop." You shrugged, but it didn't stop the stinging in your throat, and you slammed up walls at your end of the bond, hoping the hurt beginning to build hadn't yet leaked across to reach him.
"What I heard," Nesta muttered, ice on her own voice as her arms crossed angrily over her chest, "was my mate chuckling his smug little ass off at the comment. Jerk. He can sleep in another bed tonight." She was equally as angry, on your behalf, and you grinned a little at the affection she displayed for you.
"You don't have to do that."
"It's for me. He doesn't get to gossip about things like this behind my back. I wonder how many things I have done that irritate him that he's never told me, simply choosing to whine about it to those other bats." She hissed the word out like an insult, and you couldn't find fault in her logic. "I'd bet Feyre would agree."
"Would agree with what?" You both jumped, rather violently, approaching the dinner hall where said sister was sitting comfortably, a sketchbook and some charcoals out in front of herself, brows raised. Nesta didn't hesitate, stalking across the room and offering her daemati sister her hand. Brushing off charcoal on her skirt, she took it gently, gasping a second later after replaying the memory. "Those... those jerks!”
“That’s what I said!” Nesta burst, hands on her hips, and only the soft cooing of her nephew was enough to replace the scowl she wore with a slight smile. Your attention remained fixed on Feyre as she processed the covert conversation you’d secretly witnessed.
“No wonder Rhys locked me out, I didn't think much of it, boy talk, but this kind of boy talk?" She frowned, offering a sympathetic look your way, and the solidarity of your friends made you feel that much better. You rubbed your temples, swallowing again thickly, the weight of it all beginning to bring you down a little. "Fey, can you just take me home?"
"Of course, Nesta will watch Nyx for a moment, right?" His auntie was already leaning over his bassinet, tapping the tip of his nose teasingly as the baby babbled happily in return. With a hand in hers, Feyre took you home, a warm hug and a chastising word about their behaviour, her parting gift, before leaving you alone in the house belonging to you and your mate.
The house was quiet when you were alone, the middle of the day meaning you would be alone for quite a while yet, leaving you plenty of time to decide on your course of action. You glanced around, somehow feeling out of place within your own home. It all felt.. different, somehow.
Were you mad? No, only sad, and so retaliation didn't seem fair.
Sure, you were upset he'd talk to his friends about it rather than simply tell you, but Azriel had always struggled with 'talking about it', and had never wanted to hurt you. Emotionally inept at times, perhaps this was simply his way of trying to protect your feelings. A conversation you were never supposed to hear, a hurt you were never supposed to feel, because your mate was simply putting up with it to let you feel better.
You couldn’t have that. This relationship wasn’t supposed to be about secret sacrifices, it was supposed to be about trust and love and mutual respect. You’d sworn it when finding out you were mates, and sworn it again at the ceremony, and you tried to hold it up every day. Azriel wanted to spare your feelings, and now, you’d spare his, too.
It was hours before he returned, and you’d found yourself slipping back into your regular routine, making everything feel normal again by sticking to what you knew. You were unloading ingredients, cooking a comfort meal for yourself, when your mate returned home.
You first caught the tell-tale sign of feet hitting the ground outside from the sky, then steps got closer and closer up the pathway, before finally, the door opening and closing.
By the time you heard him taking off his boots and hanging up his coat, you'd found it within yourself to muster a reasonably convincing smile, and shake away any lingering thoughts about it. You are doing this for Azriel, to make him happy, to love him the way he’d loved you for years, without ever telling you. Your body twitched, aching to move to him like you always did, to greet him at the door with a kiss, with a hug, with something, and you firmly rooted your feet to the ground. After a pause, clearly anticipating what you now realised was an unwanted overload of affection, Azriel left the entry, stepping through the large open-arc into the kitchen.
"Hello, my love.." You only smiled, ignoring the curious tone in his voice, brushing your hands down the front of your apron. "What have you been up to today?"
"I saw Nesta."
"Oh?" He paused by your side, leaning down to press a kiss to your cheek, and you tipped your face to the side receiving it, but made no move for more the way you usually would.
"She gave me a couple of new books, and said she’d return the other ones." You only hoped he simply hadn't noticed that the book pile on the coffee table had not, in fact, changed at all. He didn't glance over, and you moved away, to the food laid out ready to be prepared for dinner.
"Are you alright, my love? You don't seem quite like yourself, tonight.”
You redirected your glance to the vegetables, only nodding in response, and taking a deep breath to force another smile. "I'm just fine, don't worry, just a little tired today."
He lingered for a second, before nodding himself, offering a smile in return, and a flush of reassuring love down the bond. You let it in, letting it warm you from the inside out. So, this is what he wanted, he had noticed and was already responding better. It was both relieving and painful. He rolled up his sleeves, taking another step closer to you. "What are we making? What can I do to help?"
"Not a thing, I've got it here, don't worry." His head shot up, brows furrowing once again, and your hand almost reached out, wishing to smooth that spot between on his face that had wrinkled with the frown. He noticed this time, the slight raise of your hand before you lowered it.
"But, I thought you liked it when we cooked together? You said you like how I can tell you about my day, while we make dinner." It's true, you had said that, but that was just another one of the events you'd forced upon him, wasn't it? Another act where he wanted to do his own thing, but was instead beholden to your wishes.
"I do, but we don't have to cook together every night. I'm fine here, I was just in my thoughts, is all. You could tell me about your day while we eat?” A flash of hurt travelled across his face, as though you were rejecting him, and so it was your turn to send a pulse of love down the bond to him. He tugged in response, pulling a smile from you, a real one, the way it always did when he did that.
With a kiss placed on your forehead, he left in silence a moment later. Not long after, his footsteps were on the stairs, bath filling in the bathroom, and you let out a sigh at his absence.
He returned in time for dinner, one of his shadows had been left behind, not-so-subtly lingering near the chopping boards to monitor you, and so you'd been careful about making sure to seem positively chipper until he returned. He helped carry everything through to the table, commenting gently under his breath about how good it all looked, and you thanked him as you poured wine, letting him serve food for you both onto your respective plates.
Taking opposite seats, the lull lasted not a full second, before Azriel was diving right into a spirited recap of his day:
"Rhysand and Cassian are in the doghouse." You almost slipped with your wine glass as you took a nerve-soothing sip, and Azriel was smirking as he chopped his chicken up, lifting a piece on his fork to his lips, awaiting your response.
"Oh? And why is that?" You followed suit, hoping your tone didn't give it away, already knowing exactly why they were upset. All three of you had felt a little betrayed by their conversation behind your backs.
"Not a clue. All I know is that after we finished our discussion, Nesta and Feyre wanted nothing to do with either. Rhys was all 'Feyre, darling, I was thinking we could catch dinner on the Sidra tonight, I made a reservation'," Azriel mocked his best friend's voice, and genuine laughter spilt from you, his eyes glittering a little and the bond between you humming once again. "And then Feyre said 'I was thinking I'd rather spend the evening with anyone else, right now, actually'. He was speechless. As were Cass and I."
He was so excited to share the gossip, like it was the most exciting thing that had ever happened, and the thought that perhaps this wouldn't be so hard crossed your mind. The same Azriel, the same you, just with less.. togetherness. Less touching. Perhaps, it would even make the times together and the touches even more special than you'd always thought they were. "And Cassian?"
"Even worse. He was in the midst of laughing at Rhys' shocked face when Nesta all but removed his balls in front of us." He took a swig of his wine, and you placed a piece of chicken into your mouth, excited to hear just how she'd unleashed that anger she'd been holding when you'd last seen her. "She said, 'oh, laugh it up, bat boy. See how much you're laughing when you're laying in bed alone tonight, nothing but your right hand to keep you company'."
That made your jaw drop, Azriel's deep laughter permeating the air at your reaction, and you felt proud of your friend, even if you did feel a little bad for Cassian. That's what they get for complaining behind their mates' backs instead of being honest.
"So, Feyre then proceeded to thank Rhysand for the reservation, take both Nyx and Nesta and winnow away without another word. Presumably to said reservation for a lovely sisterly dinner." Az shrugged, turning back to his food, and you sipped at your wine. Good for them. "When I left, Rhys and Cass were grumbling at the dinner table, trying to work out what they'd done wrong."
That sent a pang of pain shooting back through your chest, but you quickly suppressed it, beginning to tell him all about your own day, and your suddenly-made plans to go shopping instead of sitting at home with him all day tomorrow. He didn't object, only encouraged you.
After dinner, with plates cleared away and wine glasses refilled, you'd both moved to the living room, a quiet night planned as he settled onto the couch, book in hand, opening his action-packed thriller to the page he'd left off at as you stoked the fire idly, stocking a few more logs on.
When there was nothing more you could do to it, you stood, brushing down your skirts and leaving the room, not missing the trail of his eyes after you, or the sweep of one of his shadows, trying to curl around your ankle as you hurried through the house and up the stairs. You had planned to simply settle into bed, let your mind spin and wander, but with his watchful little trick giving you it's full-attention, you were forced to move through your preparations for bed, and follow its lead when it wrapped itself around your wrist, tugging you back downstairs.
When you returned, Azriel's glass was empty, book still open, but his gaze was on the doorway as you walked through it. "Where'd you go?"
"I thought I'd prepare for bed before reading tonight, seeing as I'm so tired, that way I can get in bed as soon as the need arises." Your hands locked in front of yourself, and dipped his head in a gesture toward your book pile.
"Will you sit with me and read for a while, then?"
"Of course." What were you supposed to do, say no? You were giving him space, but when he asked you to stay, who were you to deny it? Picking up the book from the top of the pile, you settled down into the large armchair on one side of the table, perpendicular to the couch Azriel sat on. As you opened your book, his snapped shut, and he let out a rough sigh.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm reading." You teased, waving your book at him, but he was not in such a playful mood, it seemed.
"I see that. Why are you doing it over there?"
You faltered. What now? Confess to hearing him, or continue to spare his feelings the way he had been sparing yours for years. The choice seemed clear. "Sitting closer to the fire, so I don't get cold."
"You never get cold, because you sit with me. You sit here, and if you get cold, I wrap a wing around you, and you get that cute little blush on your face and make one of those jokes about Illyrians being built warmer for those 'damn cold mountains'. So, why are you sitting over there?"
Busted. You worried your lower lip, trying to decide exactly what to say, but he beat you to it, his face crumpling a little as realisation washed over him.
"You heard us in the library." It wasn't a question, no, it was a statement. A fact, he knew it. Your mate was far too intelligent and deductive for his own good, sometimes. He put down his book, crossing the room in a flash, and removing yours from your hold too. He slipped down to one knee before you, grasping your hands in his, and he gaped for a few moments, no words coming. "I didn't mean it," was what he settled on.
"'Course you did, Az. It's okay." You squeezed his hands lightly, and he gripped back firmer, like you might pull away from him if he didn't hold on. "I was a little upset to know you'd rather tell your friends than simply tell me if something I was doing was bothering you, but you're allowed to be bothered by things."
"No, I didn't mean it, my love. Please, don't take it to heart." There was a pleading under his voice, like he thought this might drive a wedge between you both, and you pried one hand free to sit comfortingly over his cheek. His head tipped into the touch.
"Az, it's okay, really. Not everything is always going to be perfect between us, but in future, if I do something you don't like, just tell me, okay?"
"No, no, no.." He was panicking now, so much so that the fear was beginning to ripple down the bond, you couldn't just hear it in his voice but feel it ricocheting through your own chest. Cold, like shards of ice. "Everything is perfect, and that is the problem. Rhys was complaining about all the changes with Nyx. About how he loves his son so much, but lately, Feyre hasn't even wanted to touch him, and she's had such mood swings because of the sleepless nights, he's frazzled. One minute she's coming onto him, the next she's snapping at him because he didn't kiss her just right. Cassian was complaining because Nesta is so fiercely independent and he loves it, but when all that overprotective side of him kicks in and she snaps at him for going full-Cass-mode on her, he hates it. He wishes sometimes she'd just let him clean her wounds and treat her gently."
You didn't know quite what to say, confusion filling you, and he pressed on, pushed a little closer, never letting your gaze slip from his, holding you captive with it.
"Then they were looking at me, like I was supposed to say something, anything. Like, they'd been vulnerable about things they couldn't tell their mates without feeling embarrassed, as though it was my turn. I couldn't think of anything, because, baby, everything is perfect. All I wanted to say was, 'can't relate, Rhysand; maybe one day but not today. Can't relate Cassian; my girl protects me as much as I protect her, we fuss over each other'. I didn't want to upset them, and I realised what they wanted was clingy, the kind of clingy we have, the kind of clingy I love. So, I tried to tell them it wasn't all it seemed, so they'd feel better."
His thumbs soothed over your knuckles, the only sounds between you being the popping of the fire and the ticking of the large clock, until you sighed. He leaned down, kissing the hand still clutched in his own, before twisting to press a kiss to the palm on his cheek before you could retract it.
"It damn near broke my heart when you didn't greet me at the door tonight. It's my favourite part of getting up in the morning, knowing that when I come home, you'll come flying into my arms, and show me so much love, a kind of love I never thought I'd have. But you didn't, you said you were fine, though. I worried you were mad at me, too. You didn't want to cook together, I hated that, because I like being part of the things you like. You didn't kiss me, you haven't kissed me all night, I miss it. I miss it so much. You didn't hold my hand at dinner, and now you won't sit with me. I'm worried, my love. I'm scared, you have to believe me."
He raised his free hand, sitting it tenderly over your jaw, just like you did for him, swiping his thumb delicately back and forth across your cheekbone. It was an act you adored so much, something he knew brought you peace and comfort, and at this moment, it was doing just that. You could feel the fear in his words as it echoed in your chest, the desperation as he waited for your response. Lifting the hand from his cheek, his gaze tracked the movement, watching your hand hover for a split second over his head. He didn't let the half-second become a full one. He took your hand, lacing it into his hair where it had been headed, your fingernails scratching over his scalp in the soothing way he loved so much.
"Always touch me. Never hesitate. I don't care if we're at dinner or on a battlefield, but your touch, your attention, your love is everything. Never stop." His eyes fluttered closed in bliss, but he was still tense. "Just say you forgive me."
"I do not, because there's nothing to forgive." His breath hitched at the beginning of your sentence, eyes snapping open wide, and you leaned forward to rest your forehead on his. "Next time, come up with something that's not going to hurt my feelings, even if I shouldn't be eavesdropping."
He smirked at that, nose brushing yours and he laughed breathily. "Next time, I'm just going to take the teasing and let them know how utterly fucking hard in love I am."
"Well, that works too." You smiled, before he was sitting up more, raising from his one knee and pressing his hands underneath your body. "What are you doing?"
"Moving you so we can sit together."
"I'll just come to the couch-"
"Won't be close enough, now." He muttered, scooping you up enough to settle into the wing-designed chair, and situating you sideways across his lap as your eyes rolled. He left a soft bite to your covered shoulder in response. "Don't roll your eyes at me, you had me freaking out. I thought you weren't going to forgive me. I thought you weren't going to.. to be the you that I love, anymore.."
"Yes, well, that's over now." You leaned in, kissing the tip of his nose for emphasis, but uncertain eyes found yours again.
"You mean it?"
"I do." You pressed another kiss to his jaw, fingernails moving back to rake through the thick black hair on the top of his head.
"You'll greet me at the door tomorrow with a kiss?" Mm-hm. "You'll let me cook with you?" Your lips moved up to his cheek, nuzzling there sweetly as you left little pecks across his skin, mm-hm. "You'll hold my hand at the table, and play footsie, and you'll curl up on the couch with me after?" Mm-hm, your kisses reached the corner of his mouth, and you felt it twitch into a smile underneath your lips. "You'll cuddle with me in bed tonight?"
"And every other night, for the rest of our lives."
Something akin to adoration raced through your chest, filling every part of you. Despite his pink-tinged cheeks, Azriel was confident in his requests, hazel eyes shining as he looked at you. "And you'll kiss me, you'll hold me, every time you want to. Promise me, you'll never hide your affection from me, promise me you'll show me your love for as long as you feel it for me?"
"As long as you promise the same to me." He nodded, vehemently, sealing the deal with an urgent kiss, and you felt a tingling mark forming on the back of your neck, alongside the mating bond you'd made together so many years ago. Another promise formed, to be held forever.
His lips worked against your own, fingers slipping from where they sat on your cheek to smooth up, no longer running his fingers gently along your jaw but tracing soft tips over the patch on your neck. His lips became a smile in the kiss, teasing and sweet, a breathy sound slipping from you as he nipped at your lower.
“We should go upstairs.” He whispered, and your arms looped around his neck, prepared for the movement that was so come as he began to shuffle toward the edge of the seat. Raising with you in his arms, he walked a path he was familiar with, your lips beginning to trace his cheekbone the way his thumb had yours moments prior, when a sudden thought crossed your mind. You gasped, sitting up stock straight and Azriel paused at the base of the stairs, brows raising, half-lidded eyes attempting to focus at your reaction. “What is it, my love?”
“We.. we have to go and tell Nesta and Feyre we worked things out.” Azriel stared for a moment, before a blinding grin was splitting across his face. It was more than a smile, it was amused and cheeky and youthful in a way he rarely showed, only in moments like this where the two of you were truly alone, when he let himself be vulnerable. A deep chuckle followed, before he was moving again, climbing the stairs with you in his arms, smile becoming a smirk.
“So you’re the reason my brothers are in such trouble, huh?” He leaned down, nipping at the shell of your ear as he backed his way into your bedroom, kicking the door shut behind himself. Dropping you down onto the bed, enough to be able to crawl toward you as you backed up into the pillows, he didn’t let up with the wicked stare. “Let it be, we can tell them tomorrow. Consider tonight a punishment for complaining.”
“Were you not technically part of that conversation, Az? Should you not also be punished?” Your words held no threat, and he knew it too, because he only dipped his head down once he was supporting himself above you. His lips dragged over your skin, up from your chin to the shell of your ear, only to whisper;
“Oh, I think I've been punished enough for tonight. I can come up with some much more fun things for us to do..”

Jealous Boyfriend Bakugo Misunderstands the Situation
Pairing: Bakugo Katsuki x Fem!Reader
Tags: fluff, misunderstandings, party, kissing, hickies, protectiveness, jealousy, Bakugo is really bad at feelings
Flufftober Day 13: Wrong
A/N: This one was easy cause Bakugo needs some flufftuber goodness after the shit he's been through.
Tumblr media
Jealous!Bakugo appeared seemingly out of nowhere while you were talking to Deku and Eijiro. They were his friends so the murderous look he shot them made no sense to you or to them. This was your first time meeting his friends, some of which you admired a lot seeing as you had no Quirk of your own. Naturally he took on a protective role, even at this party he himself threw.
"Why ya talking to them so much eh? I'm glad you're getting along with them but I'm your boyfriend ya know? Did ya forget me already? Maybe ya could use a little reminder of who the best couple around here is. As for the two of ya, stop flirting with my girlfriend!"
Jealous!Bakugo locked his bedroom cause he didn't want anyone snooping around but now his bedroom is occupied by the two of you. His lips are on yours sooner then the door closes, your back on his bed, not even letting you get a word in as he kisses you, he's too set on showing you that he didn't like what he saw downstairs, he needs to make sure that when you go back you leave with visible kiss and suck marks on your neck.
"Didn't think they'd have the nerve to flirt with you in front of me. Pretty shameless if ya ask me. Could be just looking for a fight, which I would win of course. Ya'd cheer for me right? Of course ya would. Who else would be your number one?"
Jealous!Bakugo pauses when you start laughing so hard he hears it louder then the music blasting outside. He doesn't like that you're laughing when he's being 100% serious here. Worst yet you keep avoiding his attempts to kiss you in order to shut you up. The more he tries the more you laugh and it gets to the point that your lungs burn. As he's getting ready to kiss you again you hug him close to you, stunning him again.
"What's the big idea?! Think I'm not being serious? I'll kick anyone's ass for ya. Yeah, even Deku's, that little loser, I'll teach him to flirt with my girl. What? Why are you- he- they weren't? But you've been talking to them all night, I know cause I've left you with them and you haven't moved from your spot."
Jealous!Bakugo can feel his whole body burning up when you explain that his friends were actually talking about him for the most part. They didn't quite know you were dating so they were trying to make you see what a great guy he is under all that tough surface of his. You were about to tell them that he was your boyfriend when he interjected into the conversation. Both sides had the situation all wrong.
"Talking 'bout me huh? Heh, bet they had nice things to say. I hope, at least. Not gonna lie, not everyone thinks I'm that good of a guy. Those idiots, I swear I told them about us at some point. Ah, fuck, now I gotta- why did you let me drag you in here in the first place? You made me look like a jealous asshole."

The Forbidden Fruit, Choices and Fear
[A GOOD OMENS META ANALYSIS OF AZIRAPHALE POST S2] I know everyone is still upset about that gut punch of an ending to GO S2.. and many are also extra upset at Aziraphale.. I'm in so much pain over it too but.. I have to rationalize that damned "I forgive you" line that broke all our hearts to comfort me until we get S3.. I basically overanalyze our favorite cocoa loving Angel to explain his reaction to the kiss and why we all need to be a lil kinder to him.
2500 BC in the Land of Uz.. Aziraphale, the Angel of the Eastern Gate, had the fear of God put into him. And this affected the rest of his immortal life up until that kiss.
Angels, after the Fall and the great war between Heaven and Hell, had the fear of the Almighty's wrath put into them. They all fell in line and stayed in line. Or else they'd end up like their fallen brethren.. or worse. But there was one lil Angel that had since toed that line..
Tumblr media
"Didn't you have a flaming sword? Yeah, it was flaming like anything." "…Gaveitaway.." "You what?" "I gave it away!" As far as we've seen, this is the first time Aziraphale did something "bad". And he's already feeling the pressure. The guilt. The fear. He didn't follow the rules. He didn't do exactly as he was told. And suddenly, here's a Demon slithering up next to him and making him doubt his choice even more. The same Demon that snuck past the guardians of Eden and tempted the first human's into eating the apple, breaking the rules and getting them kicked out of paradise on Earth.
Tumblr media
"Bit of an over reaction if you ask me. First offence and everything. I can't see what's so bad about knowing the difference between good and evil anyway. "Well, it must be bad.. [..] Otherwise.. you wouldn't have tempted them into it." "Not very subtle of the Almighty, though. Fruit tree in the middle of a garden with a 'Don't Touch' sign. Makes you wonder what God's really planning." "Best not to speculate. It's all part of the Great Plan. It's not for us to understand. It's ineffable. It is beyond understand and incapable of being put into words."
Already the seeds of doubt are tinkering in his mind. Stay in line. No more questioning the Almighty's plans. That's what got all the bad Angels thrown out of Heaven and then Adam and Eve exiled too.
"I do hope I didn't do the wrong thing." "Oh, you're an angel. I don't think you can do the wrong thing." "Oh, thank you. It's been bothering me." "I've been worrying, too. What if I did the right thing with the whole 'eat the apple' business? A demon can get into a lot of trouble for doing the right thing. It'd be funny if we both got it wrong, eh? If I did the good thing and you did the bad one." *chuckles* "..No. It wouldn't be funny at all!"
And then we get to season two's opening reveal. Crowley and Aziraphale had actually met before the wall of Eden.
Tumblr media
"But that's idiocy!" {…} "It's not our job to advise the Almighty on the details of creation." "Well, then whose job is it?" {…} "Well, if I was the one running it all, I'd like it if someone asked questions. Fresh point of view."
And thanks to Aziraphale mentioning the Great Plan to Angel Crowley.. it put seeds of doubt into his mind. Making him question the Almighty's plans.
".. I'd hate to see you getting into any trouble." "Thanks for your help. And thanks for your advice. I wouldn't worry though. How much trouble can I get into just for asking a few questions?"
And then 10 million Angels fell. Kicked out of Heaven and marked as evil, unforgivable, and without God's love for eternity. Then we get the flashback to the story of a a prosperous man of outstanding piety named Job and how his life was destroyed because of a bet between God and Satan to test his faith even in adversity.
Tumblr media
"What did he [Job] do? "Job? Nothing. Job's the nicest man in the world. That's why he's so perfect for the bet. You see, God was saying how righteous Job was and how much Job loved God. And Satan pointed out-- that maybe that was just 'cause God's been so nice to him. ..God's letting Satan destroy everything Job has. And then we'll see."
Now remember, the great flood wasn't too long ago. Where the Almighty wiped out nearly all of the human race with a big storm cause they were tetchy aka simply irritable, bad-tempered and annoyed. So this time, Aziraphale actually questions Heaven about this bet when he finds out that Job's children will be killed.
Tumblr media
"Trust in God's plan, Aziraphale. Always." "Of course. So, once Job's trials are over, everything is restored to him?" "Even better than that. God will reward him with twice as much as he had before." {…} "I think they quite like the old ones [Job's children].. And if.. we kill them-" "-Aziraphale… we are the good guys. We're not killing anyone. What we are doing is simply not stopping hell. What they do is up to them."
His faith is wavering. He can hardly believe that Heaven would actually destroy a good man's family without truly understanding the fragility and consequences of human life/death; all to test him on a bet.
"Are we sure that Sitis wants to give birth four more times?"
Furthermore, they would be forcing Job's wife to give birth 7 more times despite Aziraphale's warning of them loving their original 3 children and that Sitis may not actually want to give birth to more children at her age. Hence taking away her choice. But thankfully, good ol' Crowley is the worst demon ever and is secretly protecting Job's children and goats. Something they're keeping between the two of them. And then during this deception… Crowley tempts Aziraphale with his first bite of food.
Tumblr media
"Have an ox rib." "Are you trying to tempt me?" "Not at all. Angels can't be tempted, can you?" "Certainly not." "Well, there you are then. You're free to try the food."
A temptation he quickly falls into. A choice to eat the food and enjoy it to gluttony. Another sin under his belt. In the end, Virtuous Job passed his test but had the shit reward in return. Except Crowley and Aziraphale secretly saved the children.. which lead to Aziraphale lying straight to Heaven.. again.
Tumblr media
And this is where he finally falls apart.
Tumblr media
"I'm ready to go." "Go where?" "To Hell." {….} "But you have to. I'm like you now.. A demon.." "You think you're a demon?" "I'm a fallen angel! I lied.. To thwart the will of God." "Well yeah, you did, but I'm not gonna tell anybody. ..Are you?" *shakes head no* "No. Then nothing has to change, does it?" "…But what am I?" "You're just an angel who goes along with Heaven as far as he can." "That sounds um.." "Lonely?" "Yeah. But you said it wasn't." "I'm a demon. I lied."
As Crowley always tells him- Demons lie. And Aziraphale lied. Again. And now they're keeping this huge secret between the two of them. To never be spoken of or else possibly face the wrath of God. THIS scene right in this minisode here is SUCH an important part of Aziraphale's character and his future choices. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Choices? The ability to choose between good and evil.
Tumblr media
"Look, I am good. You, I'm afraid, are evil. But people get a choice. You know, they cannot be truly holy unless they also get the opportunity to be wicked." "Yeah, that only works if you start everyone off equal. You can't start someone off like that and expect her to do as well as someone born in a castle." "Ah, but no, no. That's the good bit. The lower you start, the more opportunities you have."
What we learn from this wee Scottish body snatching story is that something can be seen as evil but could actually be a good deed from a different perspective. And that Aziraphale truly believed that the lower you start, the more opportunities you could have. But he also believes in divine punishment. Punishment that can be dealt at any time for any thing. Big or small. From a few questions that make you lose God's love to selling corpses for survival money and accidentally getting your best friend killed or just having too much faith in God could destroy everything in your life for a bet. All of which he has witnessed with someone good (Crowley, Job, Elspeth, etc) losing everything that's important to them in the most horribly way. But Aziraphale remembers the hard lessons he learned; of inequality and responsibility of your actions and the choices you make.
Someone born into poverty doesn't get as much out of life as someone born into a rich lifestyle. Or.. a lowly snake and a lowly principality falling in love and being forgiven may not be as easily dismissed as a Duke of Hell and Archangel finding love in one another and simply being allowed to run away to the stars together without any punishment. It's all of these moments, these lessons that Aziraphale learns throughout the years that change his view on life but he still remembers the wrath of God throughout existence. Something as little as a question could get you kicked out of Heaven, eating an apple could get you banished from paradise or you could be the most faithful perfect and loved person and still have your entire life destroyed over a bet. What does he know most about the Almighty? They're "tetchy" and unpredictable.
Tumblr media
"Aziraphale, Angel of the Eastern Gate. Where is the flaming sword I gave you, Aziraphale, to guard the Gate of Eden?"
He then conceals the truth to God themselves of the choice he made to give humanity a fighting chance of survival by giving his holy sword away. And is left alone without another word. Forced to walk on egg shells for the rest of his existence out of fear.
Tumblr media
"So, giving the mortals a flaming sword. How did that work out for you?" "The Almighty has never actually mentioned it again.." "Probably a good thing."
That fear of the unknown consequences to his past actions.. his lies.. for good or for bad.. he could fall at any moment or lose everything he holds precious (aka his Angel-ness and Crowley).
Tumblr media
"I'm not an idiot, Crowley. Do you know what trouble I'd be in if.. if they knew I'd been fraternizing? It's completely out of the question." "Fraternizing?!" "Well, whatever you wish to call it. I do not think there is any point in discussing it further."
So what does he always do? Deflects.. to protect himself. To protect Crowley. Not saying the real truth out loud. Keeping the reality of their relationship an unsaid secret like always.
Tumblr media
But sometimes, actions speak louder than words.
Tumblr media
"Should I say thank you?" "Better not."
Yet again, he breaks the rules. Doesn't even want to hear a thank you. Again, it must all go unsaid.
"You go too fast for me."
Crowley has always been one step ahead of him. Asking questions, falling, breaking the rules, etc. Aziraphale isn't ready yet. He's not ready to lose everything he holds dear to him by admitting out loud all of his sinful choices or else face the punishment he's been fearing for thousands of years.
Tumblr media
"Go off together?" "How long have we been friends? Six thousand years."
Aziraphale starts panicking here. Crowley is saying too much out loud. Deny deny deny.
"Friends? We're not friends. We are an angel and a demon. We have nothing whatsoever in common. I don't even like you."
This bandstand breakup was literally Aziraphale freaking out about doing too many bad things dealing with the whole anti-Christ situation and Crowley getting too close to saying what they truly are to each other. But the fear is too much and he lies again. But this time to himself. Aziraphale has only ever wanted to do the good thing. To make the correct choices. To be on the right side. But he's always faltered. Made choices that he was sure were the bad ones. Lied on occasion. Kept secrets from Heaven and God. Given into temptations. And has always had this fear of God's Almighty wrath hanging over his head for millennia. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop. At any moment, everything will be taken away. But what could be the last straw? The straw that finally breaks the camel's back? To garner God's attention and punishment. It has to be something big. The biggest and most important part of his life. Something that matters to him more than anything in the world. His relationship with the Demon, Crowley. But he's learned. If you don't say it out loud.. if you keep it to yourself. Then you won't be punished. It's worked out for him so far. So why should he think otherwise? And then in the end of S2E6, Metatron gives him the opportunity to make a change to the Heavenly system. His chance to restore his best friend to his former holy glory. A chance to relieve all the suffering he's seen throughout history. A chance to make a difference. Despite all his secret sins, he's being given an unbelievable opportunity- one that proves that maybe he isn't as bad as he always thought he was. He's actually seen as worthy. But then Crowley gets angry about all this. He's against it all. He doesn't want that. He doesn't want to be an Angel again. He doesn't want to return to Heaven. He just wants to be with Aziraphale. And he finally says their best kept, unsaid secret out loud. With a love confession and a passionate kiss.
Tumblr media
"You idiot. We could have been… us."
Aziraphale wants this more than anything but every instinct inside of him is screaming to stop it, to not let anyone see, to not let anyone know the truth. This final temptation. His one and true forbidden fruit that is the Demon Crowley.. and it's the one he knows he must resist at all costs.
The fear is overpowering. And the only words that come from his lips…
Tumblr media
"I forgive you."
I forgive you for letting our unsaid secret out. I forgive you for trying to tempt me. I forgive you for refusing to join me in Heaven as a renewed Angel. But can he ever truly forgive himself for the choice he just made? Remember, in the end, Aziraphale is just afraid. Afraid to lose everything. Afraid to lose Crowley. Fear of punishment can be traumatizing after all. And it will all be fixed in S3. ;) HAVE FAITH IN GAIMAN!
..Sorry this was so long and drawn out but… I NEED SEASON 3 ALREADY.. (everyone! keep re-watching GO2 on Prime! and no more threats to the creators plz ^-^) Honestly, this was very cathartic to write and help me come to terms with the most heart wrenching painful TV kiss of all time D: But I need to see how their story unfolds. I need to see Aziraphale allow himself to make the choice to be with Crowley without fear of punishment. I NEED MY INEFFIBLE HUSBANDS. TOGETHER. T^T
PS. Literally as I was finishing writing this, I saw Neil Gaiman himself say this on his Tumblr, "But the story of Job is pretty central to the whole Good Omens conversation, including Aziraphale's bit of it." OMG I KNEW IT lololol

Steve's parents compete to matchmake him with someone 1/?
Jonas and Diane Harrington sat in silence as their son's confession hung in the air. They'd met homosexuals before. You didn't travel as much as they did and not meet different people. But it had never occurred to them that someone so close to them - that their own son might be...
"Can you guys say something? Please?", Steve begged.
"Oh honey...", his mom started. "...Was Tommy?"
"What?", Steve pulled back at that. "Tommy? And me? Me and Tommy? No. We were never like that. Ever."
"Well, good for you son. You can do better", his father said, leaning back in his chair a little.
"He was so smarmy. You deserve someone who'll actually take care of you", Diane said, putting her hand on top of Steve's.
He looked down at the point of contact. "What's happening here?"
"Well, you being, you know, in your way, doesn't change our conversation", Jonas said. "We still think you need to stop sleeping around and find someone to be a little more serious with."
Diane nodded. "It's not good when all the gossip at the hairdresser's is about who your son is messing around with. Oh! What about Matthew?"
Steve raised a brow. "Your hairdresser?"
"Not mine, but he did fix me up when we were in New York, you remember the gala? He's nice, worldly-"
"I'm sorry", Steve interrupted. "I just told you guys for the first time ever that I'm gay, and you immediately try to set me up with someone?"
"Your love life is getting out of hand", Jonas said. He leaned forward and tented his hands on the table. "There's bets down at the bar. On who you're gonna knock up first."
"But if you're gay, we don't need to worry about surprise babies, right hon?", Diane smiled.
"Actually, I have a question about that now", Jonas started before his wife sent him a glare. "But we can save that for later. Point is, you need to hold on to someone for longer than a week."
Steve shook his head. "I can't believe my parents are talking to me about dating. What makes you think I can even get a guy? Can't exactly put the moves on them like I normally would."
His parents looked to each other, proving that neither of them really had an answer. With a sigh, Steve asked to be excused and when they granted permission, he went up to his room.
"Our Steve...a...a queer", Diane whispered.
"You think it's because I made him play football when he was a kid?", Jonas asked.
Diane shrugged. "If anything it's because of all those musicals we watched together. Then she released a heavy breath. It couldn't have been easy for Steve to tell them. And it couldn't have been easy for him to go on all those dates with those girls.
And if the rumors were true, he'd done more than date them. Jonas reached out and grabbed his wife's hand. From the moment their son had been born, all they had wanted was for him to be happy and healthy. Sometimes the healthy part meant leaving him for extended periods of time. Clearly, he'd been left on his own for too long. Surely they would have caught onto this sooner if they'd been around more, been involved more.
"What are we going to do?", Diane asked.
"You and I knew what we were going to do when we started this conversation", Jonas said, standing up from the table and putting his hands on his hips as he paced about the kitchen.
"Jonas, we can't give him Noelle's number now."
"Not Noelle, we just switch gears. Find a...a Nolan instead", Jonas decided, nodding as if to convince himself.
"Jonas, even if we can find another gay guy in this town, how do we know Steve will like him?"
"I know my son, I've got a decent idea what he likes."
Diane shook her head. “You just don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I don’t know what I’m talking about?”, Jonas questioned. “What, I can’t see what makes a man attractive?”
“Not the way Steven would. I think I understand this a little better than you.”
Jonas’ hands went to his hips. “Oh you do? You think I can’t find our son a date? You don’t think I know a handsome man when I see one?”
“Name one then”, she challenged.
“….Robert Redford.”
She crossed her arms, unimpressed. "Easy shot. Now name five that are actually our son's age."
Jonas looked put out and rolled his eyes. There was...there had to be some rock star, who was Steve listening to nowadays? Did he have a poster of someone? Who was in the movies? Maybe he had mentioned a boy at school at some point?
"Well, the bar is very high Diane. Steven is obviously the best looking boy at his school."
Diane grinned and stood up. "Was. He graduated, remember?"
"How can I forget? The grays won't stop coming."
Steve's graduation had been what had sparked this evening. Not getting into college, their son had seemed directionless. And messing around with too many girls had been the cherry on top. They had agreed to a gap year for him if he could use the time to get his relationships in check.
If he was into men, that made it slightly more challenging, but they wanted to give Steve the freedom to find himself. It was more than either of them had ever had. And what good was all the money if they couldn't spoil him a little.
"So, maybe I don't know what he's into. Doesn't mean I can't find him a good guy", Jonas said.
Diane wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. "You do know a good thing when you see one."
They went upstairs to check in on their son only to find him halfway out the window with a packed duffle bag.
"I'm sorry", he said, leg hanging out. "There's just no way you guys were this cool about this."
"For god's sakes Steve, get back in here", Jonas grumbled, grabbing his son before he cracked his head on the ground.
"Believe it or not, your parents are capable of higher brain functioning", Diane said, already setting to unpacking the bag and putting the clothes away. "Some of this stuff doesn't even fit you anymore", she noted as she looked through his closet.
"Hey, how's about we all take a trip to the mall tomorrow?", Jonas suggested. "Refresh our wardrobes for the summer!"
"Oh that sounds perfect!", Diane agreed. "It's been a while since we Harringtons turned heads as a group."
Steve sat on the edge of his bed, looking tense, yet hopeful. "You guys don't...you don't think I'm any different? You don't...", his voice got small, "hate me?"
"Oh Steven!", his mother wailed and sat next to him in a rush, holding onto him tightly as she cried.
Jonas cleared his throat. "Di, there's no need for tears. There's nothing sad happening."
"I'm not crying because of Steve", she said defensively. "I was thinking about Matthew. I really hope he and Otis worked it out. And that he knows he always has family who love him. And that even if the world beats him black and blue he can always come home, okay? Always, you can always come home."
"Yeah mom, I know", Steve said, eyes wet as he got her thinly veiled meaning.
Jonas sniffed and patted Steve's shoulder. "And if the world does decide to put its hands on you, remember your old man's got mob connections."
Steve gave a watery laugh at that but thanked him anyway when his mom lit up in recognition.
"Oh! What about Ricci?"
"Ricci? For Steve? Get outta here", Jonas waved her off.
"Who is Ricci?", Steve asked.
"He's a nice boy", Diane answered.
"He's a numbskull is what he is. I'll do business with the mob, but I'm not giving them my son", Jonas said as he walked towards the door.
"Who said anything about giving? His family's well off, he can take Steve nice places", Diane said as she followed him.
Jonas threw his hands up in derision. "Mobsters are like five year olds with their dames. Once they lick it, it's theirs."
"OKAY good night!", Steve closed his door to shut out the rest of their talk.
"We're going to the mall at ten, honey! Be ready for breakfast", his mother called out, then continued her conversation with his dad. Probably debating whether or not to set him up with a closeted senator's son.
Steve rubbed his face and let out a sigh. He'd confessed tonight to get any talk of girls out of the way for the summer.
Mission accomplished?
Part 2 coming soon

Actually I think that we should pay more attention to what the "hand over the apostates" banter means for Sebastians character, not just Fenris's.
Because. Yes. It shows Fenris is unwilling to hand over Hawke but more importantly Anders/Merrill who he has an antagonist relationship with.
But also...hey, Seb? You could just do that. Alone. You do not need Fenris and Aveline. Your favourite person in the city is the grand Cleric and if you even slightly hinted at it to her I bet they'd be in chains in the gallows before anyone could blink. Technically, you could argue that maybe there's some rule about the chantry needing/wanting more than one person to inform them of apostates but do we really think that the KIRKWALL templars follow that rule? No fucking way.
So...why does Sebastian go to Fenris and Aveline? We as the audience enjoy the fact that Fenris says no as highlighting something about his character, but Seb has been to Fenris's gambling nights where Anders is a key player. He's watched Fenris and Aveline drink with these people. I don't...think he expects a yes.
He's also...not friendly with Anders. But he and Merrill have genuinely theological debates that I reckon Seb actually sorta enjoys.
He's doing a very Sebastian thing here that digs into the core of his character. He is paroting chantry retoric and pretending it's The Most Important Thing when really his heart isn't in it. He's pretending to be the good little chantry boy, but what he really likes is running around fighting thugs and taking on the evils of the city with these mages. If anyone (from the chantry) asks he can say "I wanted to hand them in, I tried, but they wouldn't let me".
It's SUCH a Seb thing. He doesn't hand them in either! He just thinks he should because the chantry said so. He doesn't want to. He just wants to want to. Just like he wants to want to be a chantry brother with no power or wealth. Just like he wants to want to be merciful when he is really just full of venegnce.
Sebastian never manages to distangle his faith from the chantry. He doesn't even really work out what he likes and what he doesn't, like Cass, Viv or Leliana do. He just. Thinks he should like it all without any higher thought. Which means that he reacts like this when the chantry seem to be telling him one thing and he wants something else.
Sebastian and his cognitive dissonance about what he wants and what he wants to want and the hoops he will jump through to appear "good" while still basically getting what he wants is so fascinating to me. I wish it had been explored more and Seb had managed to work it out for himself and explore what parts of his faith were important to him and what parts were just something he felt cohersed into doing.
tl;dr, Sebastian didn't want to hand in Anders or Merrill either, which is why he asked instead of doing it. He just wanted to say he had tried to appease the invisible ghost of chantry propaganda sitting on his shoulder.

"Uhhhh, how much bigger did you say?" Ashley asked her dad, Oliver.
"I know, I said you'd just need to go up a few cup sizes, that might've been a little white lie."
"What did you sign me up for, exactly?"
"Well, it is a clinical trial for breast growth pills. I didn't make that up."
"I'm sensing a but...."
"So, I wanted you to join, because the money they're paying would really help us pay off the house. I just, might've slightly undersold what they'd be asking you to do."
"Which is....? Going up three or four cup sizes and getting paid? Why not. Of course I'll do that to help you guys out. What exactly is this? Be honest, Daddy."
"Well..... this clinical trial is about stress testing this new medication. They need you to take it, er, until medical intervention is required."
"What in god's name does that mean?"
"Well, they need to test the limits of their meds, period. I signed you up to take them until your boobs grow so big they pose a health risk, and the doctors will log what that risk ended up being, at what size and weight it occurred, and what measures could be taken to ensure it doesn't happen again, if a girl wanted to go bigger than you."
"Wait, so you're telling me my boobs are going to get so gigantic these doctors will basically have to end up removing them? Or reducing them? Or what?"
"They might have to, or just remove a blood clot, ulcerated skin, or tumors or whatever else might develop! They don't really know, and you'll be the guinea pig! Don't look so glum, sweetie. You'll look incredible with breasts so big they barely fit in my truckbed."
"Daddy!!! Seriously!? My boobs are going to be how big? Like the size of that beanbag chair in your study?"
"Probably bigger. You'll definitely be immobilized. But don't worry, if your health is ever at risk the doctors will do whatever it takes to make sure you come out A-OK, even if you wind up with no boobs."
"B-But Daddy! That's not fair! You better tell them to keep my boobs no matter what. I don't care if I'm immobilized by them or my spine ends up snapping like some monster-breasted TikTok girl. You better not let them get chopped off, Daddy....."
Oliver hugged his daughter. "It's OK, sweetie. We'll try to keep those breasts growing and healthy as long as we can. I'll tell the doctors your concerns. OK?"
"Good! So.... you better take good care of me once these tits get too big for me to walk or get dressed. Hmmmm, I wonder if my nipples will be so big you can stick your cock in them? That might be fun....."
"Hmm, I bet lots of guys would pay to do that. Damn, you're right, Ash. I've got to make sure those titties stay big and healthy, we might be able to pay off more than just the house."
Ashley giggled. "See? I'm glad they can be of use....."

Blind Bargain
Tumblr media
(read Double or Nothing here)
"You look... um, windswept?"
Izzy passed you a drink she'd been holding onto you for, and she was right. There was a rosy tinge to your cheeks, your hair a bit messy and you looked rushed.
Because you had been rushing.
"Oh, is my, is my mascara running?"
Izzy leant closer and squinted, "Yea, a little. Wait, here," and with a finger wet from her beer glass, she carefully wiped under one of your eyes. "It's not that windy though, is it? Did you run over here?" she gave you a suspicious look and you instinctively went for a sip of your drink to evade her question. To hide half your face.
"Hey, did Joe say he was coming?" one of your friends asked the group, and before anyone could answer, someone spotted him walking in.
Too soon, Joe.
That was too quick after you had walked in, God, what an idiot. You'd gone over this!
Calmly smoke the rest of your cigarette. Don't rush it. Make no one suspect anything had just happened mere minutes ago.
Everyone greeted Joe like normal and for a moment you were convinced it was just you who was making things weird.
"Hi,"
Why were you blushing?
"Hey,"
You knew why. Saw Joe's little smirk and, fuck, it made you want to squish his cheeks together to make his lips go funny.
You exchanged polite smiles instead, pretended to not have seen each other in at least a week, and cheersed drinks once Joe got given one by another friend.
When you turned back to Izzy, she was still sort of squinting at you.
"What?"
"Nothing," Izzy immediately raised her eyebrows but then kept looking at you. "Did you work from home today?"
Now it was your turn to squint at Izzy, suspicious as to why she wanted to know. "Yea, why?"
Fuck. What if she was onto you?
She might be closer to the truth than she thought, but you were not sharing your secrets. Not today.
You and Joe were sneaking around.
No one needed to know.
Just like during the bet, no one needed to know what was really going on behind closed doors. Difference being that now, the frightening parts weren't there anymore. You didn't like lying to Izzy, but, it was no longer scary, which was good.
Before, you were scared that if someone, specifically Izzy, were to find out about what Joe was doing to you on a daily basis, you'd lose him as a friend.
You weren't quite sure how one and one made two there, but that's exactly what you'd thought.
Now, if someone were to find out about what you and Joe were doing to each other on an almost daily basis, then they'd just know and it wouldn't really change much.
You just didn't want to be the one to tell anyone. Use words to explain anything. And neither did Joe. So, it remained a secret.
So far, you'd been resourceful in your ways.
Avoided Izzy like she was the plague.
She'd nearly caught you that one time she came home in the middle of the day whilst you and Joe were in the shower.
"Showering on company time?" she'd shouted from the hallway, and you'd stammered, "I worked through lunch time," as an excuse before whispering, "Did you leave your shoes by the door?" to Joe who was pressed into the corner of the shower with his shoulders hunched up, eyes wide and both hands covering his penis as he nodded.
"Shit."
"Shit."
Izzy hadn't seen the shoes.
Or, if she had, she hadn't mentioned them.
She had also once so very nearly caught sight of your text chain.
It was just a continuous thread of times followed by places. The bet had ended just over a month ago, but if someone was to go just by your texts, you knew you'd be able to convince them it was an ongoing thing still.
You'd been able to throw your phone into your lap face down just before Izzy had passed you a mug of tea. Just in time.
"Can people not just know?" Joe had asked once when you were in the middle of throwing every last item of clothing his way whilst he got dressed in a hurry. Izzy texted she was on her way and if you needed anything from the corner shop.
"Sure they can," you said, hitting him in the head with a sock. "Will you tell her?"
Joe scoffed, gave a soft frustrated, "No," and made a face as if he was making fun of his mum when she asked him a ridiculous question.
"Yea, didn't think so, hurry up," you rushed out of your bedroom to find Joe's shoes, held his coat so he could slide in and be quick out the door.
But there Joe had paused, right on the threshold.
"What if she..." Joe stalked closer and pushed himself right up against you. "Just walked up, right now, and happened to catch me do this?"
Fingers curled around your neck and were used to pull you in just enough for your lips to collide. Joe felt how just for a second or two, you turned boneless in his hands.
"Saw me touch you here?"
His other hand found the hem of your shirt to slip under, and you so very wanted to get lost in all of it again. You did.
But then you heard the lift go, and it startled you enough to squeeze a laugh out of Joe.
"Stairs!" you hissed, "Go, go! Stairs, now. Quick!" you shoved him towards the stairs, chuckling man easily moved by your hands. First step down, he leant back and, you obliged, gave a last quick kiss before he scurried down. You'd closed the front door to your flat just in time.
Yea.
It was definitely still a secret. One you wouldn't mind leaking, not at all. But you weren't the one who was going to say anything. And neither was Joe.
So at the pub, you pretended and tried your best to act the way you acted before any of this started. Before the bet had even become a thing.
Joe would still be flirty, but just a little flirty. Flirty like he had been flirty before.
Like when he'd see a random guy trying to make conversation when you went to get drinks, he would afterwards pretend you had an eyelash stuck under your eye and lean in real close to get it. Would make you make a wish as you blew nothing from his finger tip.
Tonight felt extra risky though.
You had worked from home. Izzy was right.
What Izzy didn't know is that Joe had spent half the day on your sofa, and he'd decided that, just before you were heading off to meet everyone at the pub, his eyes had had enough of just looking at you all day. His fingers were jealous. Mouth envious.
As a joke he'd nearly walked you into Izzy's room. You'd shrieked and laughed and oh my God, could he please never even try to joke about that again?
All right, Joe thought. Instead he'd fucked you right up against her door.
Risky business.
You didn't know if Izzy was going to come home first, but when you walked in and saw her in her full office attire, you secretly sighed a small breath of relief.
You fell into easy conversation that night. Avoided Joe until you couldn't after a dance of people getting drinks and going to the toilet, you ended up next to him at a table.
Joe didn't waste any time getting a hand on your thigh.
Your brain only stuttered for a second.
You were good at this. Kept up the conversation you had with the friend opposite, and Joe joined in the casual chat as his fingers squeezed and inched closer to where it was warm.
You squeezed your legs together in warning.
It did nothing.
Joe's hand stayed in place, fingers playing where they wanted to play.
Suddenly, someone who thought they were being real funny, asked about your luck on the apps. You hadn't taken a guy over to Friday night drinks at the pub for a bit now.
"I'm off the apps, actually," you shared. "So far it's been really unsuccessful, so I decided to just delete everything—"
"Don't lie," Izzy spat, interrupting you.
You felt Joe squeeze tighter before he removed his hand. Too many eyes on you now.
"I'm not lying!" you scoffed. "I'm not on the apps anymo—"
"I hear you sneaking guys in all the fucking time,"
Shit.
This got everyone's attention quick enough. Good thing Joe got both his hands above the table just in time.
"You sneaking guys in?" another smiley friend asked, bumping you with his shoulder. "You little minx!"
You were at loss of what to say, scoffing with your mouth open, you didn't know if you were better off denying everything, or coming up with another weird lie to save yourself from this situation.
"It's erm," you played with your drink a second, slowly spun it 'round on the table in front of you. "It's recent, this being off the apps thing,"
Izzy frowned.
"So you deleted them yesterday?"
So she'd heard you and Joe two days ago. Neat.
"Yep. Deleted them yesterday."
You didn't like how Izzy was pushing this, but you didn't really have another choice but to just go with it.
Izzy seemed annoyed and hostile and, you got it, sort of. You were best friends. No need to lie. You'd never lied about bringing guys over to the flat ever before.
Some of your other friends fell into a conversation about dating apps. About how none of them really work, how they barely know any people who've been on them and who are still in successful relationships. You leant back a little to listen along, had a slow sip of your drink and tried to ignore Izzy staring at you from across the table.
When you did look her way and made eye-contact, her features instantly softened and she leant closer over the table as she mouthed, "Why?"
You frowned, unsure of what she meant.
"What do you mean, why?" you mouthed back, and in a crossfire of conversation, Izzy pushed another friend out of his seat to sit directly opposite you.
"Why are you off the apps?"
Joe tuned in. Couldn't not. The two of you were right there next to him, blocking him from joining the conversation on the other side of the table.
You repeated what you'd said earlier. Added, "They're a bit shit really, aren't they?" to which you knew she'd agree.
And Izzy did agree.
But you also saw her worry lines work.
"I don't— we're on different pages," Izzy started, a little louder now as she sat back. "Different books even."
"What do you mean?" Joe asked, tried to make it sound like he wasn't incredibly invested in whatever this conversation was between you and your flat mate. Best friend. The one person who you'd been actively hiding from for over a month now.
"I know the difference between a fake orgasm and a real one," Izzy said, voice flat and loud enough for the whole table and then probably also the three closest to you to hear.
You choked on your drink before Izzy carried on. Coughed right into your glass and got beer all down your chin.
"These guys are—" Izzy shifted from talking to Joe to talking to you, "I don't know what they're doing to you, but they're good."
This got whoops - loud ones. Ones that made people across the pub turn their heads to see what the commotion was about.
"Okay!" you immediately tried to make everyone tone it down, one of your arms stretched over the table. "All right, I need some— some fresh air? A drink. I'm gonna get— does anyone else want to do a drink over a tenner? Gin tonic? Let me just—"
You stumbled through an excuse to escape everyone whilst simultaneously ignoring every question that was thrown at you by your friends.
"Guys? These are plural men?"
"Is that why you're off the apps? Found the right bloke who does it for you?"
"How often do you hear her, Izzy?"
"Give us a name!"
You awkwardly climbed from your seat and disappeared on your way to the bar.
Fuck.
You'd been so convinced Izzy didn't know, or hadn't heard. She never said anything.
She didn't know it was Joe though.
She'd said guys.
Thought you were bringing home guys from the apps to spend some spicy time with in your closed of bedroom. Snuck them in and snuck them out.
Sure.
Slut era.
You could pretend that this was the actual truth and go with it for however long you needed to.
"Hey,"
You thought maybe Izzy would follow you, but instead, Joe placed a hand on your shoulder as you waited for your turn at the bar.
"I um— I hear that someone is, um—" Joe couldn't help the smile he was sporting. "Being real nice to you."
You smiled through a scoff.
"Don't,"
"I'm not doing anything, I just..." you felt a warm hand spread its fingers over your bum. "It's not gone down, yet," Joe whispered right into your ear.
It made you lean back to scan his face a second as you frowned with confusion. His mouth made it back to your ear, "Here, it's been— I've been walking around with this since we left yours," below the bar, Joe's hand found yours and moved it over to his crotch.
"Jesus Christ, Joe," you hissed, panicked eyes darting around to see if anyone else had just witnessed that.
"I told her."
What?!
You couldn't fucking believe what you were hearing.
"You told Izzy about your semi?"
"Um, have a proper feel, this isn't a—"
"What can I get you?"
"A dirty bucket of gin, side of tonic," you huffed before Joe interjected, ordering three regular sized gin and tonics. One for you, one for Joe and presumably one for Izzy, for the traumatising.
"I told her it's me,"
You laughed. Bursted right into it, puffed out cheeks releasing air before it stuttered into giggles.
"No, you didn't— listen, I'm going to down my drink and leave, I'll text you when—"
His mouth found your ear again as he leant into you, spoke right into your ear again, voice low and husky, "I told her. Izzy knows now."
"What— what did you say?"
"I went," Joe started and made exaggerated facial expressions, raised eyebrows and big eyes. Then he smiled and pointed a finger at himself and nodded as his grin grew. "And then she went," Joe mimicked Izzy's reaction, surprise and frowned shock before adding, "And then she said she fucking knew it, that she'd known all along."
Oh.
Okay.
What now...
You didn't know what to do next.
Was Izzy mad?
You'd lied to her for ages.
Joe paid for the gin and you took a glass to immediately take large gulps of, stepping back just enough to catch sight of your table of friends.
They were all talking. Izzy included. Didn't seem bothered that you weren't there. Just a normal group of people talking about their week. All commotion from before gone, which, good. That was good.
You still didn't really want to go back over.
Then Izzy looked over and caught your eye. Your breath stopped for a second as you froze, afraid Izzy would let you see her anger and annoyance and frustration, because why had you lied for so long? Why had you not just told her?
But then, instead, Izzy smiled, pointed a finger at you with a scrunched up face and winked.
Izzy was a good friend.
"This is for Izzy," Joe pressed a second gin and tonic into your hands, already halfway through his own, just like you.
"Could you go— I don't, we have to— you know,"
You suppressed a smile.
"Ugh," you groaned with faux annoyance. "You're hard, we get it."
Before stepping away from him to bring Izzy your drink, Joe took hold of you by a bicep and pulled you close once more. "You say that like it isn't you fault."
It was weird and a little scary being out in the open, in public, with Joe like this, but you guessed that now, you could just... do that?
Wild.
You pulled back a little, smiled and raised your eyebrows at him.
"You say that like I'm not going to take care of it,"
You bumped your hip into him, and Joe had to close his eyes for a second. Bite down a groan and take deep breaths through flared nostrils for a second. You left him there as you quickly took Izzy's drink over to the table before turning around and beelining it back.
There was no way you were going to say anything. Invite comments or questions or even the odd facial expression.
You got them anyway.
"Bye,"
"Enjoy!"
"Have fun!"
"Hey, tell Joe to tuck it away already, we've been making jokes behind his back all night,"
"Bye babe,"
And with a laugh, you shook your head as you walked back over to Joe, both downed the rest of your drinks, drinks that Joe paid far too much for to down within a minute, interlaced fingers and left the pub together.
Joe got into a bet with you weeks ago, all for a week of fun he knew he was going to have with you, win or lose.
Had wanted to have with you, since, like, forever.
He'd never expected the outcome to be better than what he could've predicted.
He'd never even expected you to jump into this bet with him in the first place.
A sight-unseen transaction.
A true blind bargain.
One that panned out fucking perfect.
the end

what’s so funny is that I never really liked yandere/obsessive character x reader because it was either out of character for them or just to dark/weird
But something about Miguel has made me just go absolutely feral over it. Obsessed Miguel in the way that he is always watching you on cams, stroking his poor neglected cock as he just listens to your voice :(
He tries not to push you away and hides his obsession but when he overhears a conversation with you and someone else about your little workplace crush he loses it.
I’ve never been to fond of the murdering obsessive character- but Miguel constantly watching your every move just does something to me carnally.
I GET YOU! I get you 100% I'm not a yandere girl either but when I tell you Miguel O'Hara changed my brain chemistry. Whatever he wants, I'm into it.
I love Miguel with a lot little obsession. He has cameras everywhere so it just makes sense that he'd have cameras on you. You can bet they are recording your every move. Oh it would start out as just a little curiosity, just regular monitoring. However, Miguel got curious about you. You caught his attention and it's just a downward spiral from there. You don't know you doing some unintentional things that turn him on. Maybe you keep putting the tips of your pens in your mouth or biting your thumb. Or messily eating your food and licking you fingers oh-so lewdly. Miguel is so soooo frustrated with how much of a tease you are. He can't stop watching you. Those lips are so plump and pretty. They'd look so good wrapped around his cock. He thinks you'd love that. He'll always keep your pretty mouth occupied to satisfy that little oral fixation of yours.
And your voice god. So perfect. He'd specifically ask you to report to him whenever you come back from a mission. Doesn't matter if you had other teammates who are willing to report instead. He wants you to do all the talking. He loves listening to your voice especially when you say his name. Even better if you have an accent oh-- Miguel is enthralled. When he's working late at night (which is always), he'd have to use your voice as a little background noise. He loves hearing you talk to yourself, or if you have a pet, and when you sing when you think no one is listening. When you start singing some very spicy suggestive songs, Miguel's thoughts go all over the places. Is that what you like? Is that what you want him to do? He'd be gripping his cock as you keep singing. He's hard again even after already cumming.
And if he finds out you have a crush on someone??? Oh he'll make Lyla scour through all the data to find out who the person is. You keep being vague about your crush when you talk about them. Miguel just wants to know. He'll make sure to separate you from them as much as possible. Of course we know the crush is him and he would have known if he just masturbated less to your voice and realized how much your tone shifts when talking to him. Only him.
Of course, he tries to hide all this umm... not-stalking stalking from you. Tries to act like he doesn't monitor you all day. He asks you how your day has been even though he knew you were in your bed all day until you decided to show up at the HQ. And of course, you were none the wiser and just talks to him as usual.

Good day~ If your requests are open can I ask you for Chigiri, Nagi and Rin when they have a crush and how they'd confess headcanons please? Have a nice day!~
hi anon! congrats on being my first request <3 i hope u have a nice day too!
reminder that requests are open!! if you have any questions about my requests feel free to send an ask!
second part here with: reo, hiori, and karasu
characters: chigiri, nagi, rin
heart is beating up and down!
Tumblr media
chigiri
- i headcanon chigiri values quality time
- he’s constantly inviting you to go out or come over (i also headcanon that he makes u avoid his sister when ur at his place bc he thinks she’s just that weird)
- i can imagine you guys getting compliments on being a cute couple in public. he gets so embarrassed and tries to his his face from you. “who says stuff like that?” his play-it-off quote
- he would confess to you in a park. it had been early mid-evening, you guys had just gotten desserts from a nearby cafe and decided to enjoy them on a bench in the park
- after you both had finished your food there was kinda a moment of silence, which was not awkward! it was a more enjoy-the-moment kind of silence
- he decided to break it, finding this a good place to confess to you. “hey, y/n?” you replied with a small hum, looking over at him. you got a little worried seeing him so serious.
- “i like you, a lot.” he would look at you while saying this, his eyes reflecting his confession (god i would pass out on the spot)
- would not be opposed with a kiss, however, he will not engage it!
- pls say you feel the same. imagine his soft smile once you say that
nagi
- he’s probably the hardest one to spot with a crush
- would definitely hang around you more, skip practice to see you (pre blue lock ofc) pls call reo and tell him to get nagi.
- would probably somehow make it a thing where he’s always resting his head on you. be it your shoulder or your lap. he also does the thing where he comes up from behind you and rests his chin on the top of your head!!
- he also likes quality time (he’s bigger on physical affection) so he’s probably at your house a few times a week (probably not much public places)
- i feel like he would ask reo for advice on confessing? pls nagi is so hopeless he doesn’t know what to do..he probably gags at all of reo’s ideas, deeming them “cringey”
- i bet he would confess when you guys arrived at your house. he had walked you home (surprising) but couldn’t stay so he just said it when you were about to go inside
- really awkward because he did it so casually? you had to ask him to repeat himself because you couldn’t believe what just happened (he just replied “i like you.” 😐🧍‍♂️)
- if you say you feel the same then and there he would probably just say “cool” like? he’s so stupid, save him.
- i do not think he would kiss you after the confession!! he would save it for another day!
- i will also believe he would be the guy to think you guys are dating even though he never asked you out or anything? reo has to tell him to confess and nagi is just like “?? we’re already dating??”
- PLS i can also imagine he tried to confess to you in a game but you stopped playing it so you never saw LOL. you start playing it again 4 months after you guys are official and just see “i like you” — 5 months ago
rin
- ilovehimilovehimilovehim.
- he probably takes awhile to confess, hoping his feelings would die but only to find out they grew stronger (he’s terrified of rejection [thanks sae.])
- he would probably do things for you without even noticing. oh, you’re hungry? have his breakfast bar. oh, you’re thirsty? have a drink of his water.
- if he gets called out on it he’ll scoff out a “shut up.” will add an insult unique to the person calling him out too (lukewarm will always be in it however). yes, he’s also blushing (don’t say anything about it!)
- will be so down bad if you do something for him too
- he actually confesses when you’re worrying over his ankle. he was practicing by himself and you were watching and all of a sudden he just stopped moving, to which you quickly ran out on the field to find out what happened.
- “rin you should stop for tonight. i’m not trying to say—.” “i love you.”
- he doesn’t even mean to say it.
- pls kiss him. this man has felt this way for months (he’s probably made you wait that long too)
- if u say you don’t feel the same? bye. im crying for his sake
- if you tell him you feel the same he wouldn’t know what to say back (it would be so awkward). so pls just kiss him.
Tumblr media
unedited thank you for reading!
ps. sorry if chigiri’s is weird?

tw vampire whumper, psychological whump, intimate whumper, forced comfort
"Whatever is the matter with you?"
Beck shrugged a little. He still barely even looked at Helle, let alone engaged in their banter. "I don't know. I'm sorry."
They gently took him by the chin, turning his head towards them so they'd be able to look him in the eye. They didn't seem concerned, just confused and annoyed. "Is it me? Am I the problem? Are my insults and mockery getting less... gutting?"
Beck thought he might be able to sense some semblance of care behind the joking tone, but he was too exhausted to pay too much attention. "No, that's definitely not it," he said honestly. "They're... they're definitely pretty gutting. I mean, if, if we're being honest here– they make me wanna cry half the time."
The vampire let go of him and leaned back, still fixing him with a suspicious look. "Okay. So... whatever is it, then? You barely react. Our of the two of us, you seem more dead."
"I'm tired, Helle," he admitted, and averted his eyes again. "I'm sorry. That's– I think that's just it. I'm so tired of being... afraid, and hurt, and angry. I just can't do it tonight. I bet that's very frustrating, since that seems like the only reason you even keep me around in this way instead of enthralling me and whisking me away to your mansion or whatever, but I just... I can't. I can't do it every night. I'm tired."
The silence that stretched between them wasn't a necessarily uncomfortable one. It was almost peaceful, contemplative. Beck used it to simply zone out and stare at the TV in front of him — despite the fact that it wasn't even turned on, and he was just looking at his reflection. Only his. And Helle? Helle used it to think about whatever the hell vampires thought about, when they weren't thinking about blood and torture. Maybe they were thinking about blood and torture. There was no way to know.
"I do keep you around for those tasty little emotions," they said eventually. "It is quite fun to see you react to whatever I am doing. But I think..." They grabbed him by the arm and pulled him closer, positioning him so that he was laid across the sofa with his head in their lap. "I do not have to pull from the negative ones all the time. Especially if they are a limited resource."
Beck would've lied if he said the situation didn't scare him. He felt numb, yes, but he wasn't dead. Or emotionless. His muscles still tensed up at having to navigate unfamiliar territory, and his breathing and pulse quickened. But he couldn't react in the way Helle wanted. He didn't have the energy to protest and beg.
They began gently petting his hair, like one might do with a cat. It felt... nice. It wasn't comforting, but it was objectively pleasant, and... Helle was right. It was different, and different made him feel.
"I could make the distinction differently," they murmured. "I could simply make your days bad and worse, have your brain switching between dread and more dread."
Oh, it was a foolish question, the one on the tip of his tongue; but it was a justified one. Should he risk it? Or should he keep quiet and enjoy the break?
He was never going to learn to keep his mouth shut.
"Why don't you?" he asked quietly.
The vampire scratched his scalp with sharp nails, and Beck once again felt like he was nothing but a pet. But it was so good. It felt so nice. He couldn't help but turn his head a little, lean into the touch, and even though he managed to stifle the pleased hum that threatened to breach his aura of indifference, the way he arched his back to be able to push against Helle's hand probably told them everything they wanted to know.
They smiled sweetly. "It is an odd thing, really. Sometimes I look at your adorable little face and I want nothing more than to ruin it with tears and bruises. And sometimes... sometimes I come here with that exact intent, and yet you manage to say or do something... and I just change my mind out of nowhere. Sometimes I want to see you like this."
"Like a dog."
"Like a happy dog. Relaxed, content, lazily wagging his little tail — wagging it specifically because I scratched him behind the ears." Beck felt his face heating up at the comparison, even though it was the same one he'd made a moment ago. It was different, coming from Helle. "But it does make me wonder... How would you react if I were to take it all away?"
Beck tensed again, waiting for them to do just that. For their fingers to tighten in his hair, for the claws to draw blood. For Helle's gentle expression to turn cold and cruel. He found himself desperately hoping it was merely a hypothetical.
"There it is," they whispered. "That fear. That uncertainty. That pleading look I treasure oh so much." They continued petting him, satisfied with how he was unable to relax at all now. "A little hope and kindness goes a long way, I suppose."

On AI-Driven Conversations In Games
The AI gang really shot themselves in the foot by leaning so hard into capitalist exploitation angle, because now whenever they present a use of the tech that is actually moderately interesting the baseline reaction people have to it is just going to be hate because it's associated to AI in any way shape or form.
I mean, obviously I understand why people react this way, because most of the practical applications of AI are just a veil for replacing of labour and increasing profit margins for the executive levels. But I feel like nowadays you'll also just see a lot of people hating an idea because it's implicitly tied to AI in any way, despite the core conceit of the idea actually being fairly interesting. (Remember when Spiderverse used Machine Learning to generate some of it's incredibly labour-intensive frame-by-frame effects and then a bunch of people got mad because it used Machine Learning for that?)
People have been pointing to the use case of "what if you could talk to an NPC in a game and have their reponses generated via AI", and laughing at it like it's the dumbest suggestion ever, but honestly in my opinion I think that's the exact kind of system AI was practically designed for! To me that feels like an excellent application of the tech that is now just marred by the mention of AI in the first place.
Anyway, to ruminate on the concept a bit: I see that use of AI enabling a dev to fill out a world with more NPCs who help it feel more populated, as well as potentially give them incredibly varied responses that are more relevant to the NPCs immediate context of the game. I imagine instead of replacing full-on player choice dialog it would instead replace the throwaway barks of awkward and out of place open-world NPCs who look at you and say "I have nothing to say to you" and giving them something to directly say about your adventure or the context around them instead.
Instead of having the intern narrative designers be forced to write little barks and blurbs like "I have nothing to say" (which I understand narrative folks usually view as grunt work and hate writing in he first place), they'd be writing little prompts for that system instead. End result is when you talk to random farmer NPC #344 outside of town they say "Crop's doing well this year, here's hoping a dragon doesn't attack us" instead of "I've got nothing to say". I think on paper that's a genuinely good and interesting way to improve an antiquated open-world problem like that. Should it be helpful? Probably not. Would it be interesting? No. Would it be a little more flavourful than what we currently have going on? I think so!
It's not an AI shill fever dream, I can see exactly how it would work and I'd bet money that there's a studio doing something like it in R&D right now. I imagine it'd also probably be pretty adaptable between projects too, so the similar system could be applied to different areas of the world.
Should it be trusted to give the player directions or do any sort of leading that a narrative designer should do? Almost certainly not because it would be inconsistent and have too big a possibility window, and AI is nothing if not horrible at performing essential tasks that might block progress.
Should it be done with the tech as it is now? Hell no, unless you want to wait five seconds for every reply to be generated and for it to be tied to some server bank that's guzzling all of Arizona's water. Also it would probably need an internet conncetion to work, which is asking a lot for an open world game.
Should it be done by these studios who are more interested in using it to replace labour and make the end result cheaper to make so they can keep more profits off he top? No, and that's the real reason why the applications of this tech sucks - because spoiler alert they'd all love to save money.
Obviously this concept isn't doable right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ships in a game in some form within 5-10 years tops.
Again I get why at this point in capitalism there's almost no applications of machine learning that are easy to trust, nor should we ever believe studios are doing it for any reason outside of trying to make development cheaper. I just think when it comes to tech it's worthwhile to keep execution in mind separate from intent; Tech isn't implicitly evil, it's the system it's built under that is. :)

Ok so first off I'm just going to say that i know next to nothing about the fancasted Slytherin boys but i have been unable to get Mattheo Riddle out of my head for the last few day so here we are now
Mattheo Riddle x Hufflepuff!reader Warnings: Use of Y/n, cussing, possible bad writing.( lmk if there's any others i should add)
The summer before your sixth year at Hogwarts was spent bettering yourself in all the ways you thought were flawed. You were tired of being the odd one out in your circle of friends. You wanted the love that they had. None of them understood when you told them you wanted the fights they got into, they'd tell you you're romanticizing it too much and that it wasnt all love and roses, but you understood that, you wanted the dark parts as well as the light parts - you wanted to learn how to fix a fight. You wanted everything, but no one else seemed to want it - actually, thats not true they wanted stuff like that just not with you. With you they wanted to use your body then get rid of you by morning. You didnt like it it but you'd decided long ago that maybe its all you deserve, all you'll ever receive from anyone. Until HE was partnered with you on a project in potions class. All was well in your little fake world until HE started flirting with you anytime you'd work on the project together.
Everything was fine until one day he got a dare from Draco. "hey mate, noticed you've been hanging around with that one hufflepuff" Draco smirks at his friend whilst sitting down at a table the others had set up for studying in the library. "care to tell rest of the class if she's really as good as everyone makes her sound?" As Draco spoke Mattheo could feel his jaw tense. "And what the hell are you on about now Malfoy?" "Oh you know just the fact that your crushing on a whore." Draco leans back folding his arms across his chest before Mattheo kicks the chair out from underneath him. "And how many girls have you used for the same thing Draco? You have no right to speak about someone when your the exact same." Mattheo raised his voice looking down his nose at the blond boy. "Oh don't believe me? Give her a month, hell she'll probably be trying to jump you after a week of being just plain nice." Draco moves to his feet while speaking. Mattheo continuing to look down upon Draco says a quiet and simple "fine." before pushing the bleach blond twat back to his seat and reclaiming his to go back to studying.
Over the week following that night Mattheo let his affections pour down on you, he'd gotten to know you and he let you see parts of his soul that no one else had been able to. After the month was up and you hadnt done anything about your feelings for him and Draco realized he was wrong he started spreading the knowledge of the dare to anyone he spoke to. Gossip wasn't much of a big thing at Hogwarts so when there was big news it tended to spread like wildfire, but often got skewed along grapevine.
You had been sitting in the library with Hermione studying for a test when you'd noticed she looked as if she'd had something she'd wanted to say. So when finally you'd grown restless of her bouncing knee you ask her the question you've been dying to know the answer too. "Merlins beard, Hermione what is it." She looked up at you with a look on her face as if she had no idea what you were talking about. "Hermione?" You said her name in a questioning tone and she looked as if she caved within her mind. "Well, Draco's been talking, about the many people you've been with - and i am in NO way shaming you for anything - but he's been saying that there was a bet, with Mattheo that involved you, and supposedly he bet Mattheo that you'd go along with anything if he had y'know with you, and that that's why you've been hanging around him so much." The red haired girl spoke cautiously as if expecting you to break down right in front of her. You opened your mouth to say something, the one person you didnt want to see walked in. You had completely forgotten about agreeing to tutor him. You looked at him, no longer with a look of happiness approaching your face but instead a look of animosity grew and without a word you stood and collected your books walking past Hermoine and Mattheo going to your dorm room to collect your thoughts.
Mattheo gave the Granger girl and questioning and concerned look to which she responded with a pointed one and told him to go find Draco before turning back to her studies. So he did, he went to the grand hall to see if he was eating lunch, he went to the quidditch field to see if the blond was gallivanting on his broom. And lastly - which honestly it should have been first - he checks the Slytherin common room and it's inevitably where he finds the blond lounging on a sofa. Mattheo bounds toward Malfoy and picks him up by the lapels of his uniform jacket and shoves him to the nearest wall. Matttheo on his search for Draco had heard the rumours that were going around and each one making him angrier and angrier. He wants to yell at the boy against the wall but he doesnt want prying ears hearing. "What have you done Malfoy?" His words dripping with acidity and the blonds name punctuated with a rough shove against the wall. "I know nothing of what you mean Riddle." Another rough shove to the wall and Mattheo asks the question again. "What. Have you. Done. Malfoy."
"Nothing, I was merely speaking with Nott in a not so private corridor about that bet we had. It is not my fault that people overheard." That sentence earned him another shove. "You'll take it back." Mattheo was trying desperately to know some sense into the otherwise senseless boy of what he'd just done without saying it outright but never the less Draco still figured it out. "You aren't in love with her are you Riddle?" Draco spoke seemingly disgusted at the fact. "You. Take. It. Back." Becoming more and more in pain, and the look on Mattheos face reminding him of a certain someone who can't be named, Draco finally surrendered, agreeing to take back what he'd said. Mattheo let go but kneeing him in the stomach before he left to make his point known. He then made his way to the Hufflepuff dorms to find you, and explain himself, and maybe grovel/beg for forgiveness.
When he gets to the to for the dorms he knocks, he has a friend in Hufflepuff that has been waiting for him. They let him in and tell him discreetly where your dorm is. He makes his way through the halls and up the stairs until he's standing in front of your door. Before he knocks he's wracking his brain trying to figure out what to say but all thoughts he had went running away when he heard your soft sobs through the door. No doubt because of him.
Instead of knocking he opens the door quietly (thank goodness it wasn't locked) and made his way inside, he closed the door behind. You looked up at the noise of the door closing and made brief eye contact with Mattheo before looking away again. "why are you here? I know about your bet so you can just forget about everything." Your words bitter as you snapped at him. "Love… there was no bet of the type that you have undoubtedly heard. Draco - called you something i don't intend on repeating to you, and I want- no- needed to prove him wrong. i am so desperately sorry for any pain he i have made you." Mattheo walks up your now standing form and kneels in front of you resting his hands on your hips. "I- I can't do this, I let you in. I- I broke MY rules for you - FOR you. Because I- I loved you." He shoots up to his feet and rests his palms on your cheeks. "Don't- don't use past tenses we can still have this, we can still do this it doesn't have to end just because of some pitiful joke i made in a fit of rage. Please, one more chance and if i fail you again i leave you alone forever, I- I promise." the look in his eyes told you he was sincere yet you still doubted it. The one person you'd let fully inside to see the darkest parts hurt you, but it was something small, and Draco has that effect on everybody. You pull his face to yours connecting your lips together, his hands move from your cheeks to the small of your back to pull you closer. When you pull away breathing uneven. "Is that a 'we can be together' type of kiss." He smiled wide when he finishes speaking. "oh shut up." You pull him in for another kiss.

Ko-fi thank-you sentences for Iron, Scream_kinh, and ComfyB; Kon meets pink kryptonite and decides to fuck Tim and his boyfriend about it.
Kon is kneeling on the bed completely naked, and Tim and Bernard are both still sitting against the headboard completely dressed. That was hot while he was "showing off" for them, but now . . .
"C'mon already, I showed you both the goods," he says, flashing them both a flirty, dirty grin that Cissie once resignedly called a "panty-dropper" of an expression before much less resignedly proving that it was, and will hopefully have similar effects on the opposite end of the gender spectrum. "Lemme see what you're packing."
"Alright," Tim says, the corner of his own mouth quirking in amusement. "It's only fair, I suppose."
"Well we're definitely not gonna measure up, but I guess we do need our dicks out to actually fuck you the way you so clearly deserve to be, yeah," Bernard says with a laugh, leaning back on his hands. Kon wants to get on top of him right now, hearing that "deserve". Even just as a jokey aside, it's–affecting, yeah.
"Yeah, you do," he agrees, grinning wider. "So lemme see what I deserve, then."
"Oh, well, you are a guest, we should be hospitable," Bernard replies graciously, making a magnanimous gesture with one hand before unzipping his jeans. Tim lets out a quiet chuckle and takes one last picture of Kon before unzipping his too, and then both of them, well . . . then both of them pull out their cocks for him. Neither of them is fully hard, but they're both visibly turned on, and Kon tilts his head and just . . . looks, for a moment.
Tim's skin is unsurprisingly paler and Bernard's apparently a natural blond, and they're both significantly smaller than him but pretty comparably sized to each other, and both cut. And it's not like he really pays all that much attention to other dudes' dicks, like, ever, but they both look really . . .
Kon, momentarily, wonders how quick he could get them both fully hard.
And also how they'd both look then.
"Huh, yeah, your dicks absolutely do look good to me, weird," he says, mildly surprised by that realization but less surprised by the immediate temptation to just grab them both at once and touch. He is, after all, who he is as a person. "Alright, I guess not weird, all things and gay space rocks considered, but I still feel like it should be weird."
"Too weird?" Tim asks, looking just barely cautious. Kon shoots him a dubious look and grabs a condom out of the box Bernard dug out of the nightstand for them.
"Tim, you absolute moron, if you in any way prevent me from choking myself on your cock for your boyfriend's entertainment, I will never fucking forgive you," he says.
"Seconded," Bernard says.
"Ngh," Tim says. Kon, as a man with the correct and appropriate priorities, tears open the condom and then gets immediately distracted by the sight of bright lime-green latex and can't help brightening up a bit himself in delight.
"Oh these are candy-colored, fuck yeah," he says approvingly. "Are they flavored too?"
". . . I vetoed the flavored ones but now I'm deeply regretting that decision, to be honest," Tim admits, his face flushing, and Kon mock-pouts at him.
"Booooo, no fun," he says. "Bet Starfire and Nightwing would've had the flavored ones."
"Tim, can I just marry your bestie? Is that cool?" Bernard asks with a wide grin, looking pretty damn delighted himself. "Is our relationship there yet, where I can marry your stupidly hot best friend and his aesthetically perfect dick and you'll be fine with it?"
"Excuse you, I am obviously the kept boy in this scenario," Kon huffs, flicking the torn condom wrapper in the direction of Tim's trash can. "I look like marriage material to you?"
"You look like the last party favor in a Vegas honeymoon suite in the middle of Pride, and I very much mean that as a compliment," Bernard says feelingly. Which, well, Kon absolutely did automatically take it as one, he didn't actually need the clarification there.
Though he does appreciate it, admittedly.
Tim doesn't tell him what to do this time, but Kon kinda already has a goal in mind here, so he just grins flirty and dirty at them both again and leans forward towards Tim, giving him a wink as he wags the unwrapped condom at him.
"You still look good in green, right, man?" he asks teasingly. Tim visibly swallows, and Kon watches his pupils dilate.
And he feels his cock twitch.
Fuck, Kon loves his TTK.

so for funsies i did the math on the number of notes only eight of these lists has accumulated and somehow we crossed 1k as of yesterday. what - and i mean this affectionately - the fuck? thank you for entertaining a girl who just likes to make lists and be part of things. once again, this got out of hand. oops.
list one. list two. list three. list four. list five. list six. list seven. list eight.
Yours Completely by SatinBirds
“Henry, were you leaving in the middle of the night?” Alex sounds stupefied and furious to his own ears. “Yes.” His voice is hoarse and weak, yet the word is abrupt and final. Blue, helpless eyes finally stare back at him, and there’s desperation in them. “I was.”
assumption by rizcriz
Henry’s distracted when he answers the regularly scheduled biweekly call with his best friend. He’s got an airpod in one ear that he uses to answer the call, and doesn’t even wait for Pez to start talking before he’s venting about his roommate. “I am so tired of being in love with him, Pez,” He says, crawling under his desk and reaching for the pencil he dropped. “He’s so bloody beautiful and kind and today, he made me breakfast. He did research, Pez. Research!” He snags the pencil from the furthest depths beneath his desk and crawls out from beneath it, nearly hitting his head on the way out. “An entire english spread. Bloody bastard. He does all this shite for me and I’m just supposed to not fall in love with him?” He shakes his head as he crawls into his chair, mournfully turning his gaze to the ceiling. “It’s bad enough that he’s so bloody beautiful. How am I meant to cope? I fear I can’t keep doing this.” -- Or, Henry's just really dumb sometimes.
Pride, Prejudice and an (arrogant, insufferable) Prince by DracoWillHearAboutThis
“I wouldn’t dance with him for all of England, not to mention the miserable half.” Netherfield Park is let at last, and Prince Henry manages to step on Alex's toes from the moment they meet. (Or, the Pride and Prejudice AU nobody asked for)
you call the shots babe (i just wanna be yours) by kittentoes
“I wish David were here.” The sigh from his lips rustles one of Alex’s curls loosened away from under the cap. Alex’s eyebrows scrunch together and there’s a new mask edging his features. One Henry can’t quite place in his filmy headspace. “Oh. I thought… Pez said you didn’t have a boyfriend?” The bark of laughter pulled from Henry’s throat is loud and unfettered. The kind of laugh he usually keeps hidden away or stifled behind the guard of a hand against his mouth. “No, no. I mean yes, Pez’s right. But David isn’t–” Another giggle breaks into the words. “David’s a beagle, Alex.” ___ or, Henry gets high, and Alex is everything he's ever wanted.

Henry has a crush on Alex. Arthur can tell.
wanna know that body like it's mine by HypnosTherapy
Henry takes a fortifying breath and sticks his tongue out for Alex to look at. “Okay good, now hold it up like this,” Alex says, holding his mouth open and sticking his tongue up against the roof of his mouth. Henry copies the motion, flinching when Alex grabs his chin and tilts his head up. He hums as he looks into Henry’s mouth, nodding to himself. “Damn, you have the perfect anatomy for a piercing.” Henry’s not even sure if that’s a compliment, but his heart skips a beat. “Thank you.” -- After losing a bet, Henry has to get a tongue piercing. Alex, the incredibly attractive piercer, gets stuck in Henry’s head in more ways than he expected.
Total Collapse by clottedcreamfudge
Henry hates him. This is an immutable fact. So, when they'd been arguing in the third floor break room and the world had started to shake, the last thing Alex had expected was to be saved from a hefty chunk of falling ceiling as it cracked and fractured above them.
These violent delights by lizzie_bennetdarcy
There's an empty corner near the back of the shop, and he tucks himself in. Perhaps he's waiting for his target to walk into the cafe — it wouldn't be the first time. Suddenly, as though a hand has reached out and yanked on his hair, Henry's gaze is lifted and he knows it's who his Senses have been telling him to find. Sitting at the table across from Henry, sinfully long eyelashes lowered as he focuses on the pile of papers in front of him is the most devastatingly beautiful man Henry has ever seen. It's such a shame he has to kill him. Henry is a vampire hunter, with a very intriguing target.
Backseat Serenade by bleedingballroomfloor
"You seriously don't remember?" "Alex, for the life of me, I do not." Alex's face splits into a devilish grin. "Oh, baby." His voice is absolutely sultry. "All I'm hearing is that I gotta make you remember."
One Too Many Mornings by OrchidScript
"Henry Fox had fallen asleep on the beach. Spread out on a worn out wool blanket, sneakers still on his feet and his baseball hat in the sand. The breeze off the ocean, thin and clammy, blew his hair back and forth across his forehead. His substantial height was betrayed by the way he curled over onto his side. His knees tucked up out of the way and his fingers resting limply in the sand. Again." When Alex high-tailed it out of California for O'ahu, he imagined quiet days at the town law firm, mornings surfing the Pacific, and warm weekends out from under his parents' political campaigns. What he gets is all of that, a little contest notoriety, and an annoying neighbor he can't seem to shake.
i like the way that you talk to me by smc_27
The bartender, in his mesh tank top, towel tucked into the back pocket of a pair of jeans, leans on the bar, eyes twinkling, and asks, “What can I get you, sweetheart?”
Five-Drink Henry by @whimsymanaged
Henry’s mouth opens then closes. He can feel a flush creeping over his cheeks, but he does his best to ignore it and hopes Alex will too. “Oh. Hello. Sorry, I’m—hi. Thanks for inviting me.” Alex’s smile only grows, and he steps back to let Henry in. “You’re the first one here. Lucky me. Come on, I’m getting some margaritas going.” Or, Henry’s new neighbour is a party-throwing, margarita-making menace, and Henry’s helpless against his charms.
Acts of Service by TuppingLiberty
After a vacation, Henry shaves Alex’s scruff off, because he loves taking care of Alex.
somehow i'd get by by anincompletelist
Henry should have known, probably, that accepting a job offer from Pez would have its nuances. It’s his own fault that he hadn’t asked more questions, that he hadn’t regarded it as a red flag when he’d had to sign several very thick NDA’s at the onboarding, when Pez had smiled so big and so secretively when they went out to celebrate afterward that Henry had to physically look away from it. Though he’s new to the city, he’d thought that working as an accountant wouldn’t offer all that many opportunities for any sort of overly odd, eclectic jobs. So he’d shown up on his first day at the provided address, a big, nondescript brick building in front of him with a duffel bag full of his sign-on papers, his computer, and a framed photo of his dog, David, ready to take up its rightful place on yet another boring, blank desk. He’d made it all of two steps inside the door before realizing that he’d just accepted a contract working for some kind of sex club. He’d stood his ground despite the burning flush that bloomed on his cheeks and then, miraculously, he’d stayed.
Puck It by kiwiana
“I’m English, dear,” Henry tells him, and fuck if the nickname isn’t doing something to Alex too. “Our national sport is rugby, and we play it with a lot less protective gear. Though,” he adds thoughtfully, “rugby players do wear mouth guards, which means they have the significant advantage of generally keeping all their teeth.” “We wear mouth guards.” It’s a common misconception, and one that annoys the shit out of him. “And I’ve still got all my teeth. Wanna check?”
i run my fingers through your hair and watch the lights go wild by ninzied
in which alex gets his hands on henry’s hair for a change.
Bite Your Tongue On Purpose by Woodsarelovely
“Hey, man. Can I get a black coffee to go?” “Er…” he says – a faintly bewildered expression on his face. “Yes, I imagine so.” Turns out the guy is also British, which is like, whatever. Alex gives him one of his best smiles. “Great, thanks.” Hot Barista glances vaguely around himself, then back to Alex. He looks simultaneously surprised and uncertain, like some kind of aggressively handsome time-traveller who’s been unexpectedly yeeted into a different century. After a beat, he says – “From me?” “Uh yeah. You’re working here, right?” “Well... yes?” Alex tries very hard not to sigh. Great. Looks like he’s dealing with one of those people who are so attractive, they’ve never had the need to develop any kind of personality beyond that of a Tupperware container of room-temperature potato salad. Alex absolutely does not have time for whatever this shit is. *** Five times Henry serves Alex coffee and one time Alex serves Henry.
down the hall, through the door by kwrites
Alex had found his door opening at least once a week, Henry’s tall frame filling the space looking for something or other. The thing is, Henry seemed so well put together all of the time, that him constantly running out of common household supplies or food is so outside the walls of what Alex expects from him. --- or, Henry and Alex are neighbors and Henry has a habit of stopping by unannounced.
as I drop my guard by villageidiot
Henry is so certain about so many things. And then Alex Claremont-Diaz happens.
let him be soft (let him be mine) by congee4lunch
“I’m always cute,” Alex kisses the mole on Henry’s cheekbone. “Yeah? Does your work wife tell you that?” Henry grumbles. “I don’t have a work wife,” Alex breathes out, smiling against his mouth. “Why need one when I got the real deal waiting at home for me,” He licks at the mole on Henry’s upper lip. “All pretty and mine for the taking?” in which henry wants to be alex's wife, in so many words. alex wants all that and more. their relationship ebbs and flows.
(la)cross(e) my heart by weather_stained
Alex is determined to start a lacrosse team at his college. It's his junior year, and he's closer than ever. That is, until he finds out someone else is trying to start a rugby team, and there's only enough funding for one additional sport. Clubs Day comes around, and he finds that his rival is no other than the insufferable Henry Fox. Alex definitely doesn't spent more time staring at Henry instead of running his booth, but if he does, it doesn't mean he's obsessed with him or anything.
Blooming Lovely by Celaestis
Floriography (language of flowers) is a means of cryptological communication through the use or arrangement of flowers. "Yes, but we all know she hates chocolate. I feel like it's harder to say a big passive-aggressive 'fuck you' with flowers, that's all." "Orange lilies," Alex blurts from behind the counter. The man stops, turning his full attention on Alex. Alex realises pretty is an inadequate adjective; he's hotter than the surface of the fucking sun. Y'know, objectively. "I beg your pardon?" ---- 5 times Alex gives Henry flowers, and one time Henry gives Alex flowers.
Something About the Sunshine by schmulte
Henry Fox is a famous musician just breaking out on his own. He's got money, fame, power, everything he could want in life. There's just one problem: he's hiding a big secret. When he meets Alex, the brother of a fan from Texas, one fateful night out in LA, Henry's life will change for the better. AU of the Disney Channel Original Movie, Starstruck.
i ask you how you're doing (and i let you lie) by matherine
The first time Henry sees it happen, he knows instantly that it is not the first time it has ever happened. They’re sitting in the living room of the brownstone, the two of them surrounded by their favorite people in the world, a night of board games long abandoned in favor of mocking the eighth season of Game of Thrones. “God, don’t you have an off switch?” June groans, laughing as she chucks a piece of popcorn in Alex’s direction while he rambles passionately about the international legal implications of the Red Wedding. Nora cackles. “Whatever you do to thank Henry for putting up with you, it’s not nearly enough. Jesus, I can’t believe he put a ring on your loud mouth.” Or: Alex is fine. Really, he’s fine — he just wants Henry to stay, even if Alex is too much. Henry just wants his husband back.
Risk is Just a Board Game by allmylovesatonce
Henry and Alex go out for a fun night out, but it turns into so much more when jealousy gets the best of Alex in ways he's just starting to figure out. When a fight leads to something neither of them ever counted on, a new arrangement is born: friends with benefits. It feels like the perfect solution, even though their friends are positive it'll backfire. When feelings inevitably complicate things, they have to try their best to make it through in one piece.
Taste the Way You Bleed by chamel
“It’s been 427 years,” June says matter-of-factly. Bea nods. “Ever since Alex’s first bi-annual vampire orgy.” Her gaze flickers away from her cards and over to the camera. “Henry got flustered and snubbed him, you see.” “If anyone knows how to hold onto a grudge, it’s Alex,” June sighs. “They hardly spoke for the next two centuries.” Bea plays a card. “Then Pez suggested a change of scenery, and we all moved to Brooklyn.” “Now they’re just Like This.” (A What We Do in the Shadows AU. Two centuries of living together haven't made Alex and Henry any better at getting along, but when a possible vampire hunter moves in across the street, Alex will be dusted before he lets anything happen to his nemesis.)

Officer Henry Fox and 9-1-1 Dispatcher Alex Claremont-Diaz have one day of work left before their much anticipated honeymoon.
They Were Tentmates! by inexplicablymine
“Due to worsening weather conditions,” Charles takes a deep breath and then puts his hand on his face as if he is rubbing out the deep crease that has formed between his eyebrows, "coupled with the predictive index for the night, we are going to double up on tents. Your tent partner will be the same partner you had in the car on the drive down today, so get comfortable with them. It’s going to be a cozy night.” Alex is a liar. It got worse. So much worse. He turns in horror to Henry as Henry looks up to meet Alex's eyes and grimaces. Great. Tonight is going to be one long night. ______________ Medard might be the Patron Saint of Weather but there was no saving Alex from the fact that he would have to share a tent with that posh pretentious British asshole. Or, an unseemly storm while camping means that in this treacherous tale they are tentmates! (oh my god they are tentmates!)
ace up my sleeve by bananzie
Alex always liked kissing Henry. Kissing Henry was soft and so full of love and life that it made Alex's toes curl. Whether it was over breakfast, after classes, or just because, kissing Henry always made Alex melt just a little more into a puddle of love. Except— Then Henry's hand slipped under the waistband of his sweats to trace the soft skin there, and Alex couldn't stop the stiffening of his spine if he tried.

The words echo in his head, unbidden. The words from another life, practically another universe, shoved inside the small walls of a gilded cage, hidden in a room in London with shuttered windows and locked doors. A boy’s voice Henry still remembers ten years later, when he doesn’t quite remember what he had for lunch the day before. A boy’s voice on a phone that understood him better than every member of his family, even an ocean, a continent, three thousand miles away. A boy’s voice that told him in no uncertain terms that it was okay if he wasn’t okay, that allowed him to pave a path until he was. To open a new shelter in New York City, Henry needs to interview a host of potential lawyers to hire. He doesn't expect one of them to be the boy that saved his life ten years ago.

Amy’s sudden shout of alarm cuts off whatever Zahra was going to say. Alex stares at Amy, uncomprehendingly. His heart is racing, his body already flooding with instinctive fear, brain scrambling to catch up, to process what she said— Cash is at his side between one blink and the next, practically tackling him to the ground and oh— That’s a gunshot.
and i'll lay right down in my favorite place by mangotarts
“Speaking of your boyfriend, all you mentioned was that Alex was watching some show then made some off-hand comment but it wasn’t so off-hand if it’s what landed us here, was it?” Henry clears his throat. “Um, yes, that’s right. He’s been obsessed with this one television series that’s set in seventeenth-century England. I watched a few episodes with him the other night and I will admit, the plot is rather captivating.” Henry glances at Bea and sees that he has all of her attention. He continues, nerves starting to settle into his body when he recalls what Alex said. “We were both immersed in an episode when he suddenly blurted out how good I’d look in the attire of that era.” in which henry takes alex's supposed off-hand comment into consideration and alex is. well, alex is unprepared for the repercussions of his words.

the poem you make of me by cmere
"Just, you know," Henry says. "If your mum weren't the president and you were just a normal bloke living a normal life, what things might be like? What you'd be doing instead?" After being discovered on Instagram as a teenager, Alex Diaz is thriving as a social media influencer and model who just landed a high profile, high fashion contract with Calvin Klein. Alex can get any girl he wants, and he’s loving it. Meanwhile, British poet Henry Fox has just arrived in L.A. to kick off a North American tour promoting his new, steamy book of gay erotic poetry, and he’s attracting a lot of attention. Bad blood is immediately sparked between them when Henry blows Alex off at their first meeting. Several tabloid rumors and an Instagram tantrum later, Alex and Henry are reluctantly thrust together to make nice, resulting in a grudging friendship and a magnetism between them that Alex can't explain. Why is Henry's poetry making Alex feel like this? And just what is it about Henry Fox that gets to him so much?
Hashtag Soulmates by everwitch
Alex is perfect and handsome, the golden boy, everybody’s secret crush. So there is absolutely no way that he is the reader who screeches in caps lock every time that Henry posts as much as a drabble. There’s no way. Except Alex just closed his browser fast as fucking lightning, but not before Henry had gotten a good glimpse of the page Alex had open: AO3. ‘Don't Stop Me Now’, Henry’s current wip. The one that Henry literally just updated. Sweet Jesus. Could it really be?

Henry has a surprise for Alex on his birthday.
I'd Wanna Be Felled By You, Held By You by @sparklepocalypse
In hindsight, Alex should probably have known that letting Henry borrow his clothes for the weekend would absolutely wreck him. But Henry had fretted about his wardrobe being too formal for a casual visit to the lake house, and Alex has developed somewhat of a Pavlovian response to the way Henry’s brows furrow and his mouth pinches when he’s anxious. Once the words “You can just wear my stuff, no worries,” were out there, there’d been no stuffing them back into his mouth. Here’s the thing Alex should’ve taken into consideration: Henry would look hot dressed in a garbage bag. So the morning after their lake house arrival, when Henry steps out of the shower and into a pair of Alex’s swim trunks and Alex’s Arrels Barcelona shirt, Alex takes one look at him and drops his phone. (Movieverse; Henry wears Alex's clothes at the lake house and Alex reacts accordingly.)
i will be back next week with a christmas/holidays/new years list! as always, if you want to be tagged in the future just let me know!

First of all congratulations on your 1k 💕 Can I request for your event . Haechan + Enemies to lovers or fake dating ( up to you ) + prompt 2

Part of Tqmies 1K Event!
Enemies to lovers & fake dating au, 2. “Why are you mad?” “I’m not mad, I just think you can choose better people to kiss.” wc: 1.1k Note: i love haechan, i love that my followers love haechan too, now come here so i can give you a big smooch. & thank you <3
"No way." Haechan says, standing firm. "I won't do it."
"I'll pay you a hundred bucks."
"When do I start?"
"Wait, wait!" You interrupt, putting your hands between the two boys. One being Haechan, and the other being your best friend Mark. "I haven't even said anything yet."
"You don't need to baby." Haechan smirks, before swooning dramtically. "I know you're dying for a chance at me."
"I actually hate you." You deadpan but are ignored.
"Hate and love," Haechan sighs. "Such a thin line of difference, both feelings are so intense that you must get them confused."
"Get a load of Shakespeare over here." Jeno remarks, and you laugh.
"Quiet," Haechan bites back.
Mark looks over at you. "So what'll it be? Will you help me?"
Every bone in your body wants to refuse. But Mark's your best friend, and you sigh, knowing he would do it for you if you ever asked.
It just happened to be your luck that Haechan and you were the only free ones in your group. And single, meaning you'd have to pair up with Haechan. Well, Jeno was too but he was tied up for the night due to some baseball practice.
That left you and Haechan as the only ones able to attend this double blind date with Mark as support. And in all honesty, you thought his worry was stupid.
"Why do you need us to go again?" You ask, pinching the bridge of your nose.
"It'd help me feel less nervous! And you guys are the only one's not busy tonight so-"
You sigh, "Whatever Mark, I'll do it."
"Oh thank goodness," Mark deflates. "I was so worried."
"Not doing this for you, I'm doing this for the check!" You elaborate, though Mark knows you're lying, curse your weakness for your best friend.
..
"Remember, you met in high school, Haechan confessed senior year and you’ve been together ever since.” Mark repeats, as you all sit in his car. He’s ran through the scenario like a teacher in front of pre-school children.
But you nod. "Got it."
"Yeah I got it after the first twelve times." Haechan crosses his arms as he wave's Mark off. "We'll be fine, you worry about your date, and let me worry about this freak over here."
"Oh shut up!" You retort. "You're lucky to even pretend you're on a date with someone like me."
Haechan scoffs, "Okay, if that makes you feel better."
As you open your mouth to speak, Mark stops you both, warning. "Guys, you two aren't acting like you're dating right now.."
"Haechan just can't admit that I'd be an amazing date."
"Sure, I bet being with me will be the best date you've been on."
"Bet?" You raise a brow. "You're on."
"Oh no, please no." Mark mutters to himself as you and Haechan exit the car. He might've bit off more than he could chew, you guys making bets was never good, ever the competitive ones.
Yet, he can say as the night progresses, that he's pleasantly surprised with you two's behavior. Of course, he's paying most attention to his date, but if he didn't notice then she definitely didn't.
You two are the most convincing fake couple ever, minus you two actually hating each others guts. Mark assumes its all fueled by competition, trying to butter the other up to get them to admit they'd be a good date. From the way Haechan pulled out your chair, to the way you diligently complimented his food choices, inflating his already huge ego.
And as weird as it feels, Mark has to admit he likes to see his two closest friends even getting along, but he really can’t complain.
“You two are adorable.” His date points out, and it’s the first time you’ve really looked at her tonight. Her eyes meet yours and something in her lights up. “Wait, I know you!”
You agree, though you can’t remember from where.
Unfortunately, she fills in the blanks for you. “You kissed Lee Jeno at that party a few weeks ago!“
Silence looms over the table as you can only hear the chattering of patrons around you.
You remember now, she must’ve been one the party goers at the recent frat party Jeno dragged you to. No one else wanted to go with him so he grabbed you off your couch on a Saturday and made you party with him.
It had ended in the two of you drunkenly making out on the frats couch, to which you had promised to never say a word about again.
"Oh yeah?" Haechan speaks up, shooting you a glare as he grits his teeth. "That's funny considering I mentioned we've been together for years."
Mark wants to die.
You laugh nervously, as the girl beside you two widens her eyes. "It was during our um.. break!"
Nice save, Mark thinks but then Haechan speaks up. "I don't remember us having a break."
The smile falls off of your face. "We broke up for during that one weekend, remember?"
"Oh my gosh, I must have the wrong girl. It probably wasn't you, no worries." Mark's date speaks as she tries to ease the tension.
"No need to lie." Haechan replies, raising his brows. Then he just shrugs, going back to his food. "I did a lot of things while we were on break too."
Mark wants to die, again.
Also, when the hell had you kissed Jeno? Like for real, that had actually happened?
You just quietly go back to your food, noting how the other couple's face's are hot red, Mark likely too scared to say anything. At least Haechan didn't rat you two out, though you're sure Mark's date knows now.
The rest of the date goes on pretty silently, save for small chatter from around you and the occasional comment from Mark.
You and Haechan exit the restaurant first, hoping Mark would gain the courage to ask his date on a second one, seeing as it seemed they got along pretty well despite the incident.
As soon as you're out of ear-shot, Haechan turns to you while crossing his arms. "You're the worst fake partner ever!"
"Me?" You ask, pointing into his chest. "I had the situation handled, and here you come with the 'we weren't on break!' Like would it have killed you to just agree?!"
"Whatever, I don't care." He responds, turning away from you.
Though you notice he seems bothered. "Jeno and I were drunk, if you're upset at him not telling you. it's not a big deal, I barely even remember."
"Why would I be upset?" He mocks.
"I don't know? You seem bothered!"
"Maybe I am."
You throw your hands up. "Well, why are you mad?"
He smirks at seeing you riled up. “I’m not mad, I just think you can choose better people to kiss.”
"Really, yeah?" You ridicule. "Like who? You?"
"Yeah." He says, nonchalantly. "Bet I'm a better kisser than him anyways."
"You bet?" You smirk.
"I bet, now wanna find out?"
