before entering this two year long relationship with you, lando knew your dream was to open up your own painting studio to be able to teach children how to open up their creative side — the first time you guys had met was when lando accidentally bumped into you in front of your old art class that you were temporarily teaching at.

"oh i'm so sorry, my friend here is a bit clumsy sometimes." max apologized as lando helped you pick up your art supplies while giving him a glare.

they had both seen you every morning for the past week and max noticed lando's eyes lingering on you for awhile so he had this grand idea to finally make lando talk to you and this was that grand idea.

"yes i'm very clumsy." lando nodded and went along with it. "your board thing broke too, i can pay for your stuf-"

the three of you looked down at your broken palette and you shook your head picking it up. "you know what lando and..."

max gave you a cheesy smile and a little nod. "oh i'm max."

"well lando and max, you guys could come to my art exhibit tonight to make up for breaking my very expensive palette." you knew that it was just a cheap one that your sweet old boss had given you to work with but they didn't have to know that.

max quickly nodded and agreed for the both of them which earned another glare from his best friend. "we'll be there!"

later that night after going through half of his wardrobe and a few of max's shirts, lando finally chose his black button up shirt and his khaki colored jeans.

"if i was that girl i'd totally slip right out of my clothes for you." max joked. "oh by the way i can't make it, have a date with pietra in an hour."

so on the ride to the exhibit lando found himself going through most of his pickup lines and jokes in his head and when he found a parking spot right in the front his eyes landed on you.

he kept his eyes on you as he walked over to where you were, you had been wearing an orange dress with your hair curled and for a moment he felt speechless and all the things he was going to say just slipped out of his head.

"lando! i'm so glad you made it!" you gave him a quick hug and handed him a last minute portrait that you decided to add. "this thing is about to start so please be a dear and hang my last painting up in that corner there."

while you ran off to talk to an older man he stood up on a little stool and put your portrait up, lando wasn't interested in art but something about your painting was kinda calling to him.

yeah he was definitely buying it.

when you made your return back to the table you saw him fixing the labels on the bottom of your paintings.

you couldn't lie he looked really good.

as the night went on he was really intrigued by all the art that others made, your boss had pushed you to go hang out with lando while he stayed behind to watch your stand.

"you need a life outside the art world so now go talk to him!"

lando listened as you talked about what you've been doing for the past few years and when it was time to talk about his work, you found yourself amazed by it.

your dad had tried getting you into formula one for years but you just couldn't find yourself interested in it. "over 200 miles per hour? pretty dangerous."

"i actually have a race in two weeks here in monaco, maybe you can come? i could give you passes of coarse." he said with a cheesy smile.

you nodded and let out a laugh. "sure, i would like that."

before you could continue talking your boss called you over and as you walked over there max had called him about a forgotten reservation they had planned a few days before.

"i'll be right back."

he looked over to you and saw there was people interested in buying your work so he wrote a little note to you and left it with your boss.

sorry i had to go in such a rush but i had a lot fun tonight.

i can pick up the beautiful painting tomorrow and maybe we can get dinner?

lando recalled being excited to finally make it to the third date because everyone knew what happens after it — it had already been five months of you guys talking but because the both of you always had busy schedules it was very hard to set up this third date.

my boss is leaving to new york on tuesday so i'm available!

if you can make it you can totally stay over my apartment for a few days 🙂

as soon as he read your messages he booked a flight over to monaco since he had a free week off. "you should bring her to another race, i really liked her!" daniel told him as they left the cooling room.

he arrived in monaco just an hour before your shift ended so he made sure to get you some roses and when it was time he made his way over to your job where he saw children saying goodbye to you.

look outside!!

when you were finally able to look at your phone, you looked up and saw lando standing outside giving you an excited wave.

as you waved back at him your boss called you into his office.

i'll be out in a bit

your boss had called you in telling you he was going to sell the studio in a few months and move over to new york. "trust me y/n, i will call you as soon as the place is up and running..." he said as he fixed a few papers up on his desk. "you are my favorite worker and i would love to have you as a temporary teacher again."

"i know i have told you about becoming a full ti-"

"i just don't see you ready for that right now..."

you had told your boss time and time again that you wanted to become a full time teacher but he always had excuses for it and as he used another excuse you looked over to lando who was swatting something in the air with the roses he had in his hand.

"thank you for the opportunity but i think i'm going to take a break from the art world for a good while."

so after getting your stuff together you made your way to lando.

"finally, there was this huge bee attac-" he was so caught up in looking for the bee that was just attacking him a few minutes ago that he almost didn’t feel your lips place a light kiss against his cheek. "oh um..."

you pulled away with a smile on your face and let out a little chuckle at how red lando's face was turning. “c'mon my house isn't that far from here...”

he handed you the roses he had bought you, some of the petals had gone missing due to all the swatting he was doing with them but you still appreciated it.

"they're beautiful lan."

he smiled and nodded, face still red. "not as beautiful as you." he noticed his voice crack due to all his nervousness. "wow that hasn't happened in awhile..."

you intertwined his fingers with yours and began walking in the direction of your house with a smile on your face.

when the both of you arrived you gave him a tour of your apartment and he loved everything about it due to it giving cozy vibes as he said and when you guys finally made it over to your room he saw the vision board that you had hung up on your wall.

"i want to open up a studio in new york one day..." you told him as you took down your board just to show it to him. "i kinda quit since he wanted me to become a temporary teacher over in new york and that's not what i want so maybe later on i'll be able to do it but for now i think i'm just going to take a break."

he slowly nodded — he knew that you guys had been talking for only a few months but he really wanted to help you out with this, maybe even help you open up your own studio one day.

you remembered the first time your parents were going to meet lando and you were freaking out because you had never introduced a guy to your parents.

when your mom found out you were finally seeing someone she got excited because she was starting to think you were never going to give her grandchildren.

when your dad found out you were finally seeing someone he was suspicious of the guy but when you told him it was lando norris his mind completely changed — he had watched formula one for years now and even tried getting you into it when you were younger but you found it boring.

"he's here! please be nice and do not bring out the baby pictures!" you told your parents before opening the door.

"we'll be on our best behavior, promise."

and even though they had promised you, you knew they were still going to embarrass you by the end of the night.

just last week you had met lando's family and they adored you.

lando knew your parents meant the whole world to you so he made sure not to goof around too much and by the end of the night your parents loved him.

"this is the greatest day of my life!" your father had said since lando had promised your dad some vip passes for next week's race you figured that was what won him over.

when your parents decided it was time to pull out the baby albums you decided to go into your old bedroom to change out of your dress and quickly update lily on how the night was going.

as lando looked at the pictures of you he saw one of you around the age of eight maybe, painting a wooden dollhouse.

"she's always loved doing art projects when she was younger..." your mother had told him. "has she told you anything about maybe looking back into teaching again or maybe opening her studio?"

he shrugged. "i think she's been looking for a spot here in monaco since i just moved here but she hasn't said much."

your mother had worried that being in love was stopping you from doing what you love the most so she could only hope that it wasn't that. "my y/n has always been independent so this whole relationship you have going on, i hope you're truly taking it seriously because she has never introduced us to anyone so i think that says she likes you a lot." your mother told him which he nodded and just before he can talk your father spoke. "you hurt i promise i will hunt you down, that's all."

lando saw you returning back to the table with a fuzzy orange blanket and he smiled at the sight of you before looking back to your parents. "trust me, i'm not going anywhere for a very long time."

finally two - almost three years into your relationship, the both of you were already moved in with each other and lando was thinking about popping the question to you since everything was just going great with the two of you.

he already knew he was going to propose on christmas day.

"almost all gone again!" you smiled at him, seeing that one painting was left on your stand.

"well your work is amazing." he said as his chin rested on the top of your head as you looked towards your stand.

you had been close to purchasing a studio here in a monaco but you still had doubts and lando wasn't sure why that was so when he saw your old boss entering the exhibit and you running to hug him it all came back to him, your dream.

"i'm so glad you're still here! i have something to tell you!" your old boss said as he gave you a big hug and lead you towards the buffet table.

lando stayed behind by your stand as some people were asking him questions about your art work and while he was answering them, he kept his eyes on you who jumped up with excitement but then looked back to him.

yes you had been painting and doing side jobs in art classes, constantly talked about opening your studio even sometimes doing modeling gigs but lando had thought you'd be doing it here in a monaco so you could stay with him.

"you're not going to believe it!" you said with the biggest smile on your face, he stared at you in silence fearing what you might say "lan?"

"y-yeah sorry, what did he say to you baby?"

you explained to him that he was now selling his studio to move to paris and before he could sell it to someone else, he recalled you wanting a place in new york.

"that's amazing! what did you tell him?" he asked trying to sound super excited about it but deep down he was a nervous wreck.

you smiled at his excitement. "that i would think about it..."

lando had stayed over max's house the next night and max could tell something was wrong with his best friend — he was way too quiet which he never was and looked like he had a lot on his mind so when he asked lando about it, he told him the whole story including the part of wanting to propose to you tomorrow.

"she's going to chose to move over there mate..." he told max making his voice crack. "it wouldn't be fair of me to beg her to stay but i can't make her stay if she doesn't want to, i mean this has always been her dream!"

he knew this would be simple, just move over there with you but that was not what he wanted.

the both of you had been good twenty-four hours ago but you felt something different between the two of you, he felt distant like he had something in his mind but he couldn't tell you what it was.

"i don't know lils, i know he won't want to come with me and it wouldn't be fair to ask him to come with me, he hates new york."

you knew this would be simple, just stay over here with him but that was not what you wanted.

you were having a small art exhibit for the the first time in your brand new studio and had a few friends travel over just to visit, you had been hoping lando would show up but as time went on you figured he wouldn’t.

“i’m sure he’ll show up.” alexandra told you as she gave charles one of your paintings to hang up on the wall.

the both of you still texted a few times throughout the week and even facetimed whenever you guys were available.

“hey y/n, someone called in wanting to buy whatever portraits are left by the end of the night!” alexandra said as she held up an unknown address somewhere in monaco.

you smiled as you nodded, the extra money would help out so much with new supplies and just before you could help charles hang up some other extra things you saw max walking in.

“he wanted to but something came up…” max said as he took a look at your new portraits, noticing that one looked a little like lando. “but he did give me this to give to you.”

by the end of the night only a few portraits were left and as max watched you pack them up into a box to ship to the unknown address in monaco, he got on the phone with lando who was currently curled up in bed thinking about what to say when he decided to call you later that night. “so what are you going to do with all those paintings now?”

he looked around at his now empty walls that once had your paintings hanged up. “place them around the house.”

his eyes landed on the little red box that held the ring that was supposed to be yours on his nightstand and thought about maybe going to travel to your place tomorrow morning as a surprise. “actually max, i think i’ll be seeing you tomorrow morning.”

Home isn’t a place, it‘s a feeling.

pairing: Fem!Reader x Ezra Bridger

warnings: none, there’s fluff at the end

summary: Home. Such a simple word and it still was so hard to describe. Since Ezra disappeared from your lives, you didn’t really acknowledge the building you lived in as your home. It all changed though when an unauthorized imperial shuttle caught your attention.

authors note: Finally! I started writing this one last week 😭

Home.

Such a simple word.

And it still was so hard to describe.

Most people would say that it’s the place where you grew up.

Your house, your room or your Planet.

It’s meaning being completely forgotten.

To you it was more of an emotion then a place.

Memories and people that defined who you are today.

People that grew very important to you.

People that managed to work together, as a family.

People that made you feel safe.

How long has it been now?

10 years?

10 years since you last saw him?

10 years since you kept your hopes up for the best?

10 unimaginable long years that seemed to never have a happy ending for you?

10 years of living with the fear of not knowing if he survived or not?

If you knew better back then you wouldn’t have let Ezra go this easy as you did.

He told you that he’d be alright, that he’d be careful.

But when the purrgils took off with the Chimarea, jumping into hyperspace, somewhere into the unknown, you couldn’t help but feel helpless.

Helpless because you weren’t able to stop him.

Because you couldn’t do anything more then to watch him go.

That the last ‚I love you‘ he ever heard from you was from your filtered voice trough his comm link.

He was gone and nobody believed in his return, at least not the ones who’d have the resources to bring him back.

Only Hera, Sabine, Ahsoka and you were determined to find him.

When Ahsoka found a map, leading to a unknown galaxy, your hopes of finding him again went up. A feeling of excitement made it’s way back to you, a feeling you didn’t feel for a long time now.

There was still hope.

And when Hera told you that Ahsoka and Sabine made their way to possibly find Ezra, you couldn’t help but feel the most excited you ever felt during the last decade.

Little did you know that today was the day.

„I have a strange feeling about something..“

You, Chopper and Jacen were sitting on the ghosts couch, talking about different things.

Jacen often wanted to hear you tell him stories about the rebellion, about your missions, his father, his mother and ‚that guy‘ named Ezra.

He never met him, how could he?

Hearing you all talk about him most of the time confused Jacen, so he decided to take the things into his own hands and try to understand why everyone was so fond of him by hearing your stories about Ezra.

„About what?“

You asked the younger boy while you tried to pick the next story you wanted to tell him.

He just shrugged, looking around and then returning his gaze to you.

„I don’t know.. something just felt off earlier“

Just before you could answer anything to him you heard Heras voice calling out for you.

„y/n! I need you on the main hangar now, an unauthorized shuttle requested to land here“

She said, somehow stressed? But why? That wasn’t something new after all.

„Isn’t this something.. I don’t know… common?“

It was a small shuttle after all?

„It belongs to the empire“

Her voice was stern now, hiding something more important.

The empire? This whole thing just got more interesting.

„… and?“

„The shuttles ID is kinda old..“

This caught your full interest now.

„How old exactly?“

„…“

„Hera?“

„I don’t know how but..“

There was a short break before she continued to speak.

Trying to understand what was happening herself.

„The ID… is registered under Thrawns flagship..“

You expected everything, everything but this.

Your eyes widened at the news, you felt your heart starting to beat faster.

„The Chimaera…?“

„Yes.. this shuttle… somehow managed to return“

Jacen noticed the shift in your behavior, you seemed to be lost in your thoughts.

"Are you still there?"

He heard his mother ask you.

"y/n?"

Knowing that it was some star destroyer that 'took' Ezra away from you, he came to a conclusion of his own.

"That ship.."

He finally catched your Attention, you turned around, looking at him while he tried to find the right words.

"The Chimarea.. was this the ship that... uhmm.."

"Yes"

There was a silent moment between the three of you until Hera decided to speak up again.

„We don’t know who’s flying the shuttle right now but… You may want to find this out so I guess that you should start and make your way to the hangar“

„Okay“

„Take your blasters with you, just in case“

You made your way to the hangar. A lot of people were here, everyone holding his blasters tight, waiting for the shuttle to finally land.

Hera stood next to, both of you having your eyes trained on the unexpected visitor.

„Don’t shoot unless they try something stupid and Jacen, you stay behind“

Commanded Hera.

The shuttle now finally touched the hangars floor. The sound of the ramp opening now echoing freely around this place.

It took some seconds for the person to walk out but you soon recognized the stormtroopers armor. It was pretty worn, had a lot of scratches, even some fabric strips holding some parts together. Compared to the other imps, this was the dirtiest armor you’ve ever seen.

The person stepped put of the shuttle, his hands up, signaling that he didn’t want to start a fight.

Everyone including you and Hera raised his blasters, the trooper on gunpoint.

However, something about all of this felt off. Something was familiar to you but you didn’t know what exactly.

Whenever you looked at the armored person in front of you, you couldn’t help but think that it’s presence was familiar.

Not only that, but you felt the person staring at you trough his or hers visor.

Despite not being force sensitive at all, it almost felt like as if the force was trying to tell you something.

The way how the person was walking seemed familiar, even the way how they raised their hands.

Chopper seemed to recognize something though, not much time after the person left the shuttle, he started to roll towards him, you assumed that it was a man.

„Chopper!“

Hera was just as confused as everyone. The droid didn’t hesitate to roll up to this stranger, letting him even pat his head while he gave happy beeps from him for everyone to hear.

Was this really a stranger? Chopper recognized Someone so dear to him to even let him pat his stubborn head.

The first started to murmur, not knowing what to do. You at the other hand tried to solve this mystery.

The shuttle belonged to the Chimaera, the trooper seemed familiar to you and Chopper didn’t waste a second after realizing something you now tried to realize too.

Chimaera.. Chopper…. Stormtrooper.

Wait, this was a Stormtrooper… a Stormtroopers armor.

„Oh my..“

You gasped at the realization, your eyes wide as you let your blasters fall down.

„y/n..?“

Hera was even more confused by now. First her war criminal of a droid starts to warm up to some random stormtrooper who was supposed to be dead and now you seem to see something that she still can’t muster.

„This can’t be..“

You continued.

„I can’t believe this..“

Tears started to form at your eyes, threatening to spill over as you started to walk towards the said ‚trooper‘.

He never really moved his gaze away from you and as you started to walk towards him, he gave Chopper a last head pat before starting to make his way to you too.

„y/n..! What in the force are you doing?“

Hera wanted to go after you but she was stopped by her son.

„Stay back.. and watch“

He said, seeming to also know who the person behind that mask was.

„Tell me.. who is this?“

„You’ll soon find out“

You now just stood inches away from him.

He lowered his hands, standing still, seeming to be overwhelmed by something.

And you knew what that something was, depending if your guess of him was right.

„I can’t believe this..“

You started, looking up to him to where you assumed where his eyes.

„After 10 years…“

You trailed off, moving your hands up to his face, placing them on the helmet as you tears started to spill over.

„You came back…“

There was a shiver in your voice when you managed to break the lock, slowly taking of his helmet.

„Please.. please let it be you“

You removed the helmet as gently as you could, holding it while you found yourself mesmerized once again.

Vibrant blue eyes were looking straight to your eyes. The same loving look you used to see on a daily basis a decade ago.

His hair had grown since the last time you saw him, his curls pressed because of the helmet. He even had a beard.

You were at a loss of words, it was him. Ezra.

Your Ezra.

„Hey y/n… it’s me.. it’s really me..“

He said, his eyes never leaving yours as you let the helmet fall.

As if you were acting by some hidden instinct, you threw your arms around him, taking him into the most heartfelt embrace you’ve ever given to anyone in your whole life.

Your tears had no barriers now as you let them stream down freely.

„Don’t you ever dare to do this again..!“

Was all you managed to say between your sobs.

Ezra didn’t waste any second, wrapping you tight in his arms while you two fell down to your knees, holding each other close.

„Ezra..“

Hera was shocked, speechless, not knowing what the hell was happening right now. Jacen at the other hand smiled, sensing the relief in her. Something he didn’t sense in her for a long time now.

„Given them a moment.. I have a feeling that they need it“

He then said, looking back to the reunited couple.

„I missed you so much“

You heard him say, the shakiest you’ve ever heard his voice.

„The thought of you was the only thing that kept me sane..“

He said while you nuzzled your head in his neck, not wanting to ever let go of him again.

„Knowing that this day would come“

You felt something wet drip on your cheek, you raised your head from where it was resting on his shoulder to look at him.

His eyes were filled with tears. He seemed to be happy, relieved… at peace.

Nobody except him knew what he had to face until he was finally back.

What horrors he had to endure while he was stranded somewhere alone.

Something in his eyes told you that he didn’t care about anything that had happened in the past 10 years, instead they seemed to tell you something else.

Something that the both of you knew.

Everything that mattered right now was that he was back, back by your side.. back to the people that cared for him.

You somehow managed to chuckle while you looked at his loving eyes.

And there it was, there was the smirk he used to give you whenever he tried to be romantic.

„I‘m your idiot“

„That’s correct“

The last time you heard his voice was when he used the force to talk to you all for one last time before he disappeared.

It also reminded you that the last time he heard your voice was through the filtered comm link.

„I love you“

You moved your hand to cup his cheek, the once which still held his prominent scars.

And he did it too, he placed his hand on the lower side of your face, his other still wrapped tightly around your body.

„I love you too“

Your faces moved closer and when they were close enough, you connected your lips, sharing a long kiss.

It somehow replaced everything you both could’ve said to each other.

You both didn’t say a word, deepening the kiss while you didn’t let go of each other.

As of you were both scared that the other would vanish the second you’d loose the grip on the other.

Chopper started to beep in a teasing way, catching you both off guard as he managed to get a chuckle from Ezra.

You pulled apart and, while you both still held each other close, you also felt a warm feeling inside you. Safety.

A few seconds passed and the sound of boots walking closer to you got louder.

Ezra looked over your shoulder and his eyes widened again.

„Welcome home.. Ezra“

Hera stood in front of them, fighting against her own tears as she looked at her, technically, ‚adopted son‘.

She knelt down to be on the same level as you two.

„Can I..?“

She asked and you two instantly pulled her closer into your hug.

Let’s just say that it was a very heartwarming reunion.

A week passed now since Ezra’s arrival.

You invited him to live with you in your apartment, even offering him the other side of your bed.

Which indeed was an act of true love for you since your most treasured furniture was your bed.

Your sleep being the only thing that you enjoyed.

Considering this, letting him have the other half was indeed something very important to you.

However, there was something different now.

For 10 years you somehow developed a feeling that didn’t seem right.

This was the place where you lived, the place where you spent day and night.

But you never felt complete here.

No matter how much you‘d add there, be it any kind of furniture or decoration, there was something missing.

Something or better.. someone.

With Ezra being back, the building that most of the people would call home, was finally complete.

It’s crazy that you lived here for many years now but you never felt that it was your home. Not until he was again right by your side.

You were cuddled up against him, resting your head on his chest.

It was early in the morning and he was still sleeping.

You at the other hand were already awake, nuzzling your face against him.

The effect he had on you was crazy.

And he made you realize something.

No matter where you were, where you lived or where you stayed.

No matter the conditions.

Wherever you were.. wherever he was with you..

That’d be the place you’d call your home.

Because even if you lived here for many years, you never really felt at home.

But since the moment he returned, this warm feeling of knowing that you had somewhere to go.. the word ‚home‘ instantly regained its meaning for you.

He made you feel safe, loved and cared for.

He was your safe space.

Your everything.

Deep in your heart you knew the answer to the question you used to ask yourself in the past years.

He was your home.

And you were his.

He didn’t tell this to you but when he was back in Perridea, he of corse didn’t feel at home at all.

Not only because he was trapped in another galaxy. No.

He even had his own ‚home‘ when he travelled with his new friends.

He spent 10 years of his life there and not one of those years, not even for a second, he was able to somehow feel as if he had a home there.

Because you weren’t there.

And when he came back, when he walked off that Shuttle.

When he finally looked into your eyes.

He instantly felt something that literal buildings didn’t manage to do.

He felt at home.

In his case, his home wasn’t just a lifeless building… instead it was something bigger… a Person.

The Person he wanted to spend his entire life with.

hii🥺 it’s been so long i’m not sure what to say... apart from thank you to those who waited and those who showed this blog some love while I was gone🥺😭💛 ngl it’s been a tough couple of weeks hence why i haven’t written anything.

This one is a bit close to home (i do share an almost bday w mark😅) hope you like it even tho it’s a bit late for Mark Lee day.

This is definitely a very different scenario than what you have originally planned.

You were supposed to celebrate your birthday with your favorite human. Seeing as you share an almost birthday, his on the 2nd of August and yours on the 3rd. It’s a tradition you and Mark have had ever since you got together.

It’s also one of the first thing you bonded over, when you were just starting to get to know each other you mentioned your birthdate to him to which he replied with an overly excited tone and huge grin, thinking that maybe it was fate all along.

“Yo wait what? my birthday is on the 2nd” he says with the biggest smile you’ve seen, his cheeks looking so cute

“Yea, I’m born on the 3rd. Guess that makes you older than me?”

And now here you are spending it apart for the first time in 3 years.

You tried your best to cheer up whenever he calls since he’s still in quarantine. But once he hangs up, you’re overcome with this feeling of sadness and longing. Sad because he missed so many thing these past few weeks and knowing your beloved boyfriend well he’s probably beating himself over it.

You didn’t want to add to the list of things he’s worrying about so you try and put on a brave face for him. But in reality you wanted nothing but to curl up by his side and tell him everything’s going to be alright.

It’s been a normal day so far. Instead of having the usual celebration the two of you would have, you spent the day on your own. Not forgetting to send Mark a birthday wish the moment the clock struck twelve and a cake to be delivered later to his place.

Hearing the doorbell ring, you wondered who it might be. You weren’t expecting anyone, you walked towards your door looking at the monitor first before opening it. You see a bunch of flowers held infront of the person’s face.

“Uh hello?”

“Special delivery from Lee Minhyung” you hear the familiar voice of Jeno

Opening the door, you see not only Jeno but also Chenle and Jaemin waiting outside your door. Chenle holding a bunch of balloons while Jaemin has the cake.

“What is this?” you ask the three guys

“Mark hyung asked us to deliver these to you since he can’t, he also said to check up on you but he told us to leave that part out” Chenle explains, making the two older guys look at him questioningly

“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear it” you chuckle, stepping aside to let the guys in

“We’re not staying for long, just here to greet you an advance happy birthday” Jeno says as he give you the flowers, “Thank you guys, you didn’t have to come all the way here. I know you’re busy”

“No big deal, plus we know today’s kinda a bummer for you and Mark. We just wanted to help”

“Thank you really” after saying your goodbye’s, you take a quick picture of the cake, flowers and balloons. Sending the snapshot to Mark.

Immediately he give you a call.

“You got it?” you hear his voice ask, he still sounds a bit sick but better than the previous days you’ve talked to him.

“Yes, you didn’t have to though. Just get well soon is all I’m asking”

“Baby, I can’t let this day pass without buying you a cake and the flowers” Mark says, already feeling the smile form on your lips “I know, I just... didn’t want to celebrate without you”

“I know, I’m sorry” Mark says

Shaking your head, you smile at him through the screen “No hey, what did we talk about. Don’t apologize okay? No one’s at fault here”

“But-” “No buts, Mark Lee. You’re going to make me sad if you say sorry one more time” finally showing the sadness you’ve been keeping from him

“Thank you,,, for saying it’s not my fault” he mumbles, wishing he was next to instead

“Of course it’s not, no need to thank me for that. Just focus on getting better, okay? That’s all I wish for”

“I am working on that, don’t worry to much about me baby” he can see the smile making its’ way to your face again, instantly making him feel better.

“Don’t worry, I’ll make it up to you on our next birthday. And the next one after that and the many more to come” he promises to you, and you know Mark is a man of his words.

“You have a lifetime to do that, don’t worry” you tell him

“That I do know, happy birthday to us. It’s like the universe knew I needed you in my life so they sent you” he says, not missing the lovestruck look in his eyes making you blush instantly

“Remember that time I told you I used to hate celebrating my birthday, but ever since I knew I started to like this day a little bit more” you tell him, “Hey, your birthday is definitely something to celebrate”

“Yea but I like it better because of you”

He shakes his head, looking down on the ground to hide his grin. It’s like you know just what to say to make the butterflies in his stomach flutter or how to make his heart feel like it’s about to stop beating.

“I like you best, my love”

“This is not a competition on who likes who more, Mark Lee. Don’t make me say it again”

“But I like you more” “Na uh, I like you more”

“Okay fine, you like me more but I love you most. Ha can’t beat that” he says, effectively shutting you up.

“I love you too, babe. Happy birthday” you tell him, “I love you, baby. Happy birthday”

Synopsis: You’re playing dnd with the boys and Eddie always lets you “win”. Warnings: lack of dnd knowledge(by me. I did some research but I’m sorry if it doesn’t make sense🥲), Eddie breaking dnd rules, I think that’s all?

“Alright, you’re up.” Eddie said to you, ignoring Mike’s eye roll.

You smiled and stood up, ready to roll the dice. You really were having fun and somehow always ended up with the killing blows. All the boys always shot slightly annoyed glances in your direction but of course the other questers would because you always won. Or that’s the theory that you believed anyways.

You tossed the dice across the table and Eddie leaned over to see the number it landed on before you had a chance to check.

“Too bad for the hill giant-“ he grinned and there were groans around the table. No one ever protested though. They knew what Eddie was doing. He was completely crushing on you and even if you didn’t exactly understand the rules of DND or how it worked, he would always let your character come out alright or as the hero. Sure, on the campaigns that you weren’t there for, all bets were off. However, when you were participating, he wasn’t afraid to tweak a few of the rules or just completely lie for you. It was a ploy for him to spend more time with you really.

“Yes!” You pumped your fist and finished out your turn. Little to your knowledge, the number you had gotten was not even close to 4, the required roll to actually defeat the monster.

There were half hearted “good jobs” echoed around the table until Eddie raised an eyebrow. Then more legitimate congratulations came at you.

Eddie continued with the campaign story. “Your little group has not taken damage because the valiant,” he said your character’s name with a flourish, “bravely defeated the hill giant, Nefel. Will you advance through his cave or go in search of another way to cross the mountain?”

The game went on for some time, your character still being the only one still at the height of health. “Alright, we’ll stop here for today, little hellfires.” Eddie proclaimed, scooping up his binder. “We resume tomorrow at 3:20. Don’t be late.” He glanced at you as the others started picking up their own items. “Sooo, what do ya think?” He asked.

You lifted you head from the character sheet Eddie had helped you start a week ago. “About the game or the campaign?”

“Either. Both I guess.”

“We’ll, okay. I really like them both. I didn’t think I’d catch on this quick but DND is so much easier than everyone says!”

Eddie tried to hide his automatic smirk behind his binder by putting it in front of the lower half of his face. “Yes, right. I suppose you’re just a natural, kiddo.” The use of kiddo really wasn’t valid because you were in the same grade as him and only a year or two younger.

“Maybe I just have a good teacher.” And with that comment, your cheeks start to burn. It was only a little but you could feel it.

Actually you didn’t have a good teacher at all. In fact, he was quite terrible in terms of actually letting you play out the game correctly and quite frankly, falling into traps, loosing health, etc, just like the rest of the party. That didn’t stop him from basking in your compliment. “I have been known to-“

“Oh my god.” Dustin cut him off, completely over Eddie’s beginning attempt at flirting for the night. “We get it. You’re both amazing. Now will you shut up? They’re driving us home!”

You laughed at Dustin’s outburst. “Sorry, Ed, he’s right. See you tomorrow. 3:20 sharp.”

“Yeah, okay.” He was glaring at Dustin as you turned to zip your backpack but the kid only shrugged.

Tomorrow.

How are you doing? It's been ages again 🫣

I went ice skating again today for the first time in years, and even though I am exhausted now and my legs hurt I had so much fun and I was actually still able to skate pretty well! Very proud of myself for that haha

Also, the Vegas Race... I'll probably be able to watch it, even though it's so goddamn early in the morning and I am so excited because its gonna be such a shitshow!

Pitlane Exit onto the hairpin, cold tyres, almost no corners, that weird sphere thing in the background... It's Gonna be interesting! I just hope noone gets hurt or anything, because I actually do expect half the grid to dnf. Hopefully not any favs though!!

Life has been good to me, I can't believe it's almost December already! I will fly home for Christmas to see my family and I am really excited for it, got almost all the Christmas present already even though usually I am awfull at this (expect my mom, because I always wanna get her something extra special because she does so much and I never find anything good enough 😭)

Are you good with presents? I am always terrified they will hate what I chose... Meh.

Sorry for updating so late, been busy today

I finished Hashihime of the old book town 2 days ago, it was absolutely amazing, i think i'm gonna replay the first route again, it's just so good😭

I bought another bl game from the same publisher(?) And i thought they would have the same mc for each route but turns out the mc changes every route, i didnt know this and got attached to the first mc, needless to say, i am unable to continue with the 2nd and third route as i am too attached to mc, yes i have attachment issues, i'll probably play the game once my attachment to the mc is gone or sum, probably will take months if not a year or two.

I've bought Hashihime of the old book town, Royal Alchemist & Uuultrac so far, i'm gonna get Divine speaker next but after that, i feel lost on what to get, there really aren't many bl game that interest me, hashihime set my standards wayyy too high to the point i want to make a visual novel but remembered i'm shit at using softwares, plus i dont know if my art will turn out good. (And i have no idea how to draw backgrounds)

Alright so for the update of the date, we went to get some dinner, we originally wanted to go to a fancy restaurant as he suggested but then we decided to go to his place last minute, when we did get to his place, he got changed from his suit to a more casual wear and started cookin', he made some Spaghetti Carbonara for the two of us, he also brought a vase of flowers to the table, lit up some candles and turned off the lights, it was pretty romantic, i remember every single detail, his cooking was delicious as always, after we had our fill, i offered to wash the dishes as he already cooked after that he gave me some of his clothes to change into since i only wore formal clothes as i thought we would only go to a restaurant, and then go back to our respective places, he lent me a shirt and pants, we were almost the same height so it fit, i took a bath and so did he (seperately) , we then got on the couch and since he didnt have hashihime of the old book town on his computer or laptop, we decided to watch a gameplay of it on the tv, why did we do that you might ask, because i wanted him to see Professor's route, plus he was a bit curious, i was crying mid way through the route as the route was so sad😭, he saw me tearing up so he grabbed a tissue and wiped my tears, it wss kinda awkward since i never rlly got this treatment before...I thanked him and apologized for letting my emotions get the better of me lmao, he told me there was no reason for me to apologize and we continued watching, by the end of it, he was really heart warmed by the gameplay, by that time it was getting a bit late but since he didnt need to work the next morning, we stayed up some more, playing games, baking, ate snacks and made smoothies, IT WAS SO FUN😫

When we went to sleep, instead of me taking the couch, this time he told me to stay on the bed with him, I agreed as we have stayed in each other's beds together before, we cuddled each other to sleep, when i woke up, it was about 9/10am, he had already woken up before me, again preparing breakfast, we ate and he took me home not long after, i fell asleep in his car, i woke up on my bed, him on my couch, i fell asleep for about an hour, he said he had to carry me as he didn't want to disturb me, i was shocked he could carry me but then remembered i'm very light...

After that nothing really happened i was just busy throughout the day and almost falling asleep every second, sorry if this is too long, i was just so happy this all happened, i never had such fun in my whole entire life😭😭 applogies for typos anywhere, still pretty tired but unable to sleep for some reason,maybe it's too soon but i'm planning on initiating the first kiss next time we go on a date, should i invite him to a date a week from now? Or is it too soon? Any advices??

Okay so here's some backstory to help you understand things a bit better:

1. I work in the prep kitchen of a popular restaurant in a tourist town.

2. 90% of the workers here are seasonal employees so my work supplies housing

3. The full work season is 6 months. Most employees come back year after year

4. It's my 2nd year here, but 1st time as a prep chef. (I was a dishwasher last time)

It's a bit of a story so buckle up babes.

IM SO SORRY IM JUST NOW ANSWERING THIS BUT BESTIE PLS THAT WAS A ROLLER COASTER OF SUPRISES ALSFKLSD ((also your job sounds super cool)) BUT LIKE PLS i do not seeing this playing out v well at all 😭💀

((the rest of the story is beneath the cut, i just put my reply above it, but yall i s2g read ths 😭😭😭))

Alright now lets get into it, about halfway into the 2nd month a bunch of line cooks finally arrived. One of the cooks, let's call him O, when he saw me instantly started flirting. Very icky. But luckily another employee was in the same room and was like dude stop. I later found out that O is a fuckboy major player new girl every season kinda guy. So he kinda leaves me alone after that. A couple of sweeties and darling every once in a while -and even once called me mama- but that's really it, and he does this with every female employee and we all give him shit back. Once he realizes we aren't interested he won't continue to try anything so he's not as bad as it sounds, promise.

About halfway through the season when the last of the line cooks show up the pet names stop entirely for everyone. Strange, but you know whatever, then one day when I'm at the only grocery store in town I see him, holding hands, with the new fry cook (her first year here too). Let's call her A. Suddenly it all made sense. You see a couple days ago she came to the prep kitchen and asked my coworker to help her carry the bucket of oil up to the line he said yeah and as they're walking away I hear her say "thanks you're the only nice guy here, well you and O, Don't tell him I said that though!". So now they're together, mind you we only have 3 months left till end of season.

About half 3 weeks ago A came down to the prep kitchen and started talking to my coworker about how she was stressed and couldn't find a dress in time and how she needs some help with some paperwork...for the wedding. That she's having... In 2 weeks. I was not very discreet in my eavesdropping because I shit you not I was slicing onions and I cut my finger when she said that. Completely shocked. But hey I got to wear my first finger condom that day. They've been together for less than 3 months and now O and A are getting married (nice ring by the way, very big).

But about a week ago I heard her talking to another line cook in passing and they asked A what she was going to name the twins. If I wasn't carrying a case of avocados I would have totally stayed in the room longer. But I was in denial because I somehow convinced myself that I didn't hear what I heard. But two days ago when she was standing next to me having a conversation with my coworkers she said the line "sweets aren't good when you're pregnant". That pretty much confirmed everything for me. Now it makes sense as to why they were getting married so quickly. Today was their wedding and he came in for the evening shift when I was on my way out he says very quietly and dare I say a little melancholically to my coworker "aren't you happy for me" let me tell you I could not have left that locker room quicker.

So that's it. That's the drama going on in the back of house at a restaurant. That's one story of many, if you ever want to hear more I'm always down to share lol -🤭

The album is great, though I don't listen to slower songs that often, but I can play the whole album and be happy <3 I'm usually not the one to bitch about "X is the worst year in kpop" especially since lots of comebacks are coming, but something about this year hits less. We got some gems obviously, but a lot of groups disappoint. I loved the whole Oddinary which is shocking, hopefully same things happens with Movement

A flying paper crane had been going to y/n's Direction. She didn't thought of it that much since Snape was teaching and he said it was important.

She grabbed it and stuffed it under her robes, for her to read later. Draco smirked at her. He'd wish that she would just go out with him, I mean who wouldn't. The slythetin Prince, rich, Pureblooded, and not to mention handsome.

Y/N couldn't deny that she found him attractive, everyone did. But she always rejects him she's afraid if she'll let her guard down and get played one again. She wouldn't want that. That's why she puts up a strong front to who ever flirts, or asks her out.

After Snapes boring babbles, he spoke up. "Alright, study page 362-390. We will be making a potion, with partners. I'll assign them next week." he nodded signaling them to leave the classroom.

As everyone began to clean their items, y/n had left first to go to the lavatory. She reached out for her pockets to read the paper crane. It had said.

"Cmon mate, she dosent like you back, move on." Blaise patted his back. "I don't know why, why dosent she like me? I'm charming, rich, and a Pureblood." he groaned.

"And a cocky git." pansy chuckled. "Shut up Parkinson." Draco spat. "fine then, blaise let's go" she stood up cleaning the Dust on her skirt. He nodded and both of them left.

"What can I do for her to love me?" he thought

"He's trying so hard is he?" Millicent asked "Yup." she made the "p" a pop sound. "You should atleast give him a chance, yknow he's kinda hot." Tracey joined in the conversation.

"I mean yeah, he's hot but what if he might play me? I don't want to get played again.," she bit her lip at the thought of draco and her dating. Maybe Tracey was right. Maybe she should give him a chance.

What could go wrong anyways, I mean I like him back, I just don't show it.. Or I would get stood u- no y/n! Don't think negative. I'll see if he would still give me one of the letters and I might, I'm scared to make the first move.

She thought. "Hey guys, I need to clear my mind for a bit, I'll be back." the girls agreed and she left to the astronomy tower.

She sighed looking around the surrondings, everything was at plain sight. No one was there except frogs croaking. She felt relaxed and eased to the feeling. (I dunno if it's a real word jaja)

"Hello princess" she turned around to see who it was. It was draco? What was he doing here?

"You seem tense, wanna talk about it?" he asked and began to sit next to her. "er, I just get the feeling that your playing me, or I'm just a bet" she began to explain.

"I'm very aware what others think about you, I'm not sure if you actually fancy me, it's just weird. Why would you like me? Out of all the girls?" she looked at him expecting him to answer.

"Oh, well your not a bet, I've fancied you since 1st year. Is that why you've been ignoring my gifts, letters?" he responded. She just nodded in agreement.

"Look y/n, I promise I'm not playing you, I actually want to be with you. Please give me a chance, if something goes wrong in one of the dates I'm gonna take you. I'd totally back off."

"Erm, okay fine.." she muttered. Hisface lit up with excitement. "Wait really?" He asked "Yeah, you do seem sincere.." she respond

"You won't regret this y/n!" He smiled huggigg her tight. "hm still wanna go for a date at hogsmeade? The three bromsticks perhaps?" he smiled at the blushing girl.

this is not holivia/harry related but i kinda just wanna rant, if that’s alright? i feel beyind safe here with all the anons and the mod who make this space so open and comfortable to feel and talk about things haha

i may ramble so i don’t even know where to start tbh but i have these two friends who i consider my bestest friends ever (almost sisters at this point) who i’ve known for over a year now. we’re internet friends and they’ve met a few times since they live on a few states away from one another (while im on the west coast) and sometimes i just feel like the outlier, or really “the friend who walks on the grass” in our friend group. if there’s some kind of animosity happening in the gc or im being distant bc of school, im the one who “doesn’t care about the friendship” or they think im “shutting them out”. we’ve had this convo like a few times about communicating and whatnot but somehow, it’s always me who is the problem. i agree with them when they say we’ve been drifting but sometimes it’s not just me who’s being distant but them as well and theyve acknowledged they need to work on it but it’s always me who is constantly apologizing for doing the “wrongdoing”. it’s always me who’s spending time reading their words to make sure im apologizing for hurting their feelings. it’s always me who’s trying to save the friendship? i messaged them an entire notes app paragraph about how them doing certain things gives me bad anxiety and they continued to do it after like one week lol.

there was an entire mishap today about an twitter account i have where i just rant to myself with no one else and have a non-harry tl and they got angry i didn’t include them in it. which i understand their pov but if no one else is on it (not a soul, just me), what makes you think i want anyone else on it? it’s nothing against them but i have close cousins i add on everything who i also consider my sisters and they’re not even on that twitter account…

they don’t really respect my boundaries after i’d told them certain things they do give me anxiety (which has gotten so much worse in general) example: ignoring my text messages for hours (even for the past two days) but continuing to be on social media even tho i texted the gc. yet they’re complaining im being distant or icing them out when they haven’t communicated if i’ve done something wrong…

i just feel so hopeless in this situation because i don’t have many other friends that i talk to and they’ve always been the closer pair in general. i’ve been dealing with so much in my life that i don’t talk about to them or anyone and my mind is just in constant overdrive with overthinking and doubts. i just feel like everyone is against me lately.

they claim they’re not trying to attack me or railroad me when this happens and we’ve hashed it out today but they’ve once again started ignoring me in the gc when im just trying to move on and get our lively, and happy gc back. and i have a gut feeling they texted each other personally the last two days they’ve been ignoring my messages in our gc like i should’ve guessed that they have, it’s kind of obvious lol.

sorry for rambling but honestly i kinda want some advice but i also just wanted to let all this out. im contemplating just deleting all social media (except tumblr and tiktok per usual) and staying off my phone to focus on school, maybe seek a therapist, etc. but at the same time, i don’t want to lose the some of only friends i have. im just not doing well right now and i don’t know what to do.

im so sorry for dumping this on you, mod, i just needed a place to rant 😭

i totally understand what you are currently going through right now. this was me not too long ago and what i did was completely remove myself from that “friend group” and move on. i was also conflicted as they were my only friends but honestly, i found people who make me feel so much better about myself and include me in everything. that’s my best advice to you: distance yourself and move on.

i know it may seem hard because you think that they’re your only friends but really, you’ll find better people. trust me. and if you have a lot going on, take time for yourself first. your problems come before anyone else. take care of yourself and do what you need to do whether it’s talking to a therapist, meeting new people, talking to these friends, distancing yourself for a bit - whatever it is, just do what you think is best for you!

trust me when i say that once you figure yourself out, you will feel so much better. it may seem difficult now, you may be conflicted because you feel that you don’t have anyone else, but you will find other friends who will treat you better. it’s better to completely let go of people who make you feel guilty or upset than continue to be friends with them and allow them to treat you unfairly.
