good omens season 2 is real and im even more insane than the previous post. Fuck, Dude. ep4-6 thoughts and spoilers under the cut <3 a bit less than coherent

EP4 zira named the bentley "lesi".. or maybe its always been named lesi and crowley just never uses its name.

zira's magician career, failing for over a hundred years. both instances we've been shown have involved guns i think! incredibly funny of zira to be the one between them with a firearms license.

EP5 idk if i said it in the last post but why does crowley bother to keep driving back and forth, just move in with your boyf already you know you want to.

and then uh. Fucking Metatron. fuck. the ominous music when they go out on their Stroll.

so soft for the scene with crowley putting everything back in order in the bookshop. domestic as hell. the soft music. crowley just knowing how everything is Supposed to be. <3

nina and maggie come to make ineffable husbands get their shit together! love nina calling maggie 'angel', sure wonder where she got that from..

the boys are gonna talk about their feelings?! no. no they aren't, actually. everything's gonna go to shit instead. god i cannot put my feelings on this scene into anything coherent. i am in pain.

because its always been crowley advocating for Their Side and zira's believed heaven is Absolute Good and shit and of course that's what takes them apart 😭 because fucking TRAGEDIES and the narrative is out for these fuckers.

i didnt actually absorb crowleys confession enough because the brain was melting into jello but fuck dude.

Random Thoughts on HTTYD RoB S1 (Ep1-6)

Ep1 - Ahhh, the animation is so olddd

They all look so weird, Hiccup is smaller than everyone else, Astrid's hair is l spaghetti, Snotlout's all dressed in grey, Tuff's hair is straight, Ruff's face is round and the voice is different, and Fishlegs looks like a soft marshmallow instead of the giant mountain he turns into in rtte - so so weird

Hiccup, the show-off and Toothless, the one actually doing everything

Hookfang chomped on Snotlout hard

"Every night, Meatlug would lick my feet. Who's gonna do that now??" "I volunteer Tuffnut" "Whatever... What time should I be there?" glad to know Tuff hasn't changed that much

Meatlug throwing herself at Fishlegs and Hookfang picking Snotlout up by his shirt even before Snotlout gets to hug him - dragon/rider moments give me liiiife~~

Hiccup drew a picture of them all?? That's so adorable!

Ep2- Is Hiccup going to narrate the beggining and ending of every ep? I kinda like it

I'm gonna take a guess and assume the whole "Hookfang turning on Snotlout/setting him on fire/chomping on him" is gonna be a regular gag

I have a soft spot for Gobber so this is making me super sad... Gonna try to find some fanfiction where there's some Gobber appreciation later, the man deserves it

"Is that another crack about my weight?" Stoick being self conscious about his weight just makes him that much more humane to me. Am I the only one?

Ep3- Way to start the episode; some near death expiriences, some rescuing, and some Hiccstrid crumbs

Gothi's great, I like her

Their protective instincts? Why is that surprising? Toothless did the exact same thing in Httyd1, it was a whole thing; Hiccup lost a leg, dragon of gigantic proportions was killed, feud that lasted hundreds of years was resolved, all that jazz. Why are you so surprised now

Of course the farm animals would be scared, can't blame them there

Astrid being competent and everyone else being useless, as usual

Toothless is such a good boy, saving the sheep

Man, I feel for Stoick and Gobber, they got a handful of kids to protect and no way to do so

And now they're huddling for warmth, ahhh, how fluffy is that

I know it's supposed to be an emocional moment, but the scene with the sheep and chicken and yaks getting closer to the fire is just so funny. The mighty score that accompanies it just makes it that much better

Watch the scene with no context and you'll see what I mean

Ep4- Hiccup could've just pulled Fishlegs from the other side, but okay sure

"It scared us, okay? Is that not good enough for you??" Jeez, Fishlegs was mad

Huh, cute little thing that dragon is - he's probably poisonous or super dangerous or something

Oh no, he's just a little guy with an angry, overprotective mama. That's good to know

Snotlout's habit of naming every single thing he sees is something that already comes from RoB I see

I find it cute that Hiccup went to Gobber for advice

If I were Toothless, I'd feel wronged. Hiccup chose to keep a dragon he doesn't even know in his home over his best bud. That was a bad move Hiccup

Wow, that mama is huuuge, her wings are bigger than Toothless himself

All's well that ends well I suppose, but yeah, Toothless deserves a good apology and his weight in fish for this

Ep5- Fishlegs has a good point

"Should we tell Hookfang something?" "Eh, let me sleep on it." Pffft, the twins want to see Snotlour dead so bad, that's also something that came from RoB apparently

"Hey! Things happen after dark." Again, Fishlegs has a point

"It's not supposed to be fun, it's a Hiccup idea" Ouch Astrid, that hurt

Hoofang has been causing so much trouble, and I'm like, 5 episodes into this

"My three weddings, their three funerals... Oh, the funerals~~" what. the. fuck. Mildew. Isn't this kind of implying he killed his wives??

"I gave up thinking years ago. Never been happier." That's such a Tuff thing to say

Mildew is definitely the responsible here, Im already calling it out

Mildew is such a freaking psycho

Ep6- "-our chances of finding those feet are as good as Snotlout and Astrid-" "Don't go there." Okay, that was really good. Fishlegs deserves a brownie

Yeah, Alvin is an ally in RttE so I'm not getting a lot of fear from this unfortunately. Curious to see where it will go though

Fishlegs was making Meatlug a poem?? That's so freaking sweet

Also, he's such a marshmallow in this design my god, I just wanna hug him

And Bucket, such a sweetheart, he went all the way back just to get the girl's lamb

"Alvin? What'd he do to earn that?" Tuff, I appreciate you

Hiccup is such a sassy little shit to his enemies, I love every single second of it

Astrid has suffered a nice plethora of injuries this episode, someone please check on her

A little annoyed Mildew didn't get his deserved karma but okay, we'll get there

Since I don't wanna cover 10 episodes in just one post, I'll just stop this one here, and cover another handful of them next time

My conclusions until now are: Mildew is freaking creep and in just a couple episodes he was able to climb up there right next to Spitelout in terms of "I dont wanna see him ever". And speaking of Spitelout, he hasn't appeared yet, yayyy :DDD

The humor isn't as good I'd wager, or at least very different. The twins speak like, two small lines every episode, if at all, and they haven't shown nearly as much charm as they did in RttE, but who knows, maybe they'll grow into their role, it's what im guessing. Same thing for Snotlout

Hiccup also seems so much lighter, and less tired and I honestly love it, because it's proof his growing is done well moving forward. He's still a sassy little shit to his enemies though, and I gain years of life every time he calls them out on their dumbness

For now that's all - moving on!!

pretty chill episode after all the excitement from last week's cour finale, mostly just setting up the plot for the future. tho we also got a new op and it goes absolutely crazy

alright episode, mostly about what saki and mai have been up to, saki being engaged and mai breaking up with her bf. I know that in their shows, from the very start, the girls have crushes on boys (ofc it couldn't be otherwise cause toei are cowards) but you gotta understand how deep in the yuri mines I am. hearing them actually say they're engaged or dating a man gave me whiplash

good episode as usual, the best part was getting a lot more screentime for some of the girls that were barely in the other eps, tho it still wasn't that much and since this isn't following the og format there's always gonna be some girls that won't get their time to fully shine sadly. also got a couple momoko moments™ including the box so that was funny

Mission: Yozakura Family Ch1 - 200

wowie that was.. a lot better than I expected. honestly went in not expecting much, and after having just caught up to jujutsu from 1 to current I wasn't expecting yozakura to be so good since jujutsu is so much more popular but, hot take: I think it's way better like sheesh. I talked about it on my server but the only I thing I think jujutsu has over yozakura is the battles, otherwise it's beat in every category. I like the art a lot more, even from ch1 yozakura had waaaaay better paneling than even current jujutsu. and the whole cast is a lot more likeable. like from jujutsu I cared about gojo, nanami, maki and okkotsu. in yozakura we get cooldown chaps were the different family members do their own stuff and interact with each other which helps you get to know them more and in doing so liking them more, while still using these chaps to move the plot along so the pacing isn't too slow (outside of that little side detour with the past heads that got cut short prob by the editor but yknow)

anyway rambling and just repeating what I already said in the server but TL;DR it's good, glad to be caught up, and looking forward to it wrapping up in the near future since we're close to the final arc

Witch Enforcer Ch1

I started this mostly on a whim cause the art is good (artist's on here too btw @ camellia0x0) but I was pleasantly surprised. there was nothing surprising about the story but it was delivered well and the art was solid through the whole chap (tho the paneling is very basic but I'll give them a pass since it's their first serialization [only some one shots before]) and the concept of a witch making and using mechs is fun. looking forward to seeing this artist's growth as a mangaka, hopefully the series doesn't get axed too early

good chap, especially the end tho. never thought this could be a possibility but it makes total sense there'd be a reverse evil union on the side of god. never thought about it since we had under before. really curious to see how the next chap gonna but it's prob just gonna be introducing all those baddies that people will fight in the final arc

I hope you’re doing okay! It’s all been a lot with the build up, and i hope that you’re looking after yourself with it all.

Ive only seen the Tarlos/ Carlos cut of the finale lol, but I agree with the feeling of rushedness. Even just their scenes could be split over at least 3 episodes, never mind the other story lines!

Also I kind of dislike the idea that carlos has gone from going off the rails with grief to wedding within days. Let him get over it properly!

An alternative to Gabriel’s death I was thinking about was if he had been taken by the cartel, or put into some sort of witness protection, where the family didn’t know where he was. Carlos could still have the breakdown and detective work and wrong conclusion, but Gabriel would still be there for the wedding, and give chance to build on their storyline. Also parallel to ep4 with Carlos

And I’m kind of gutted about some of the hinted at scenes we didn’t get- I would kill to see Carlos’ mirror conversation with Andrea, or them feeding the cake. Let the episodes breath! The cast, the crew, the fans were all so excited about the wedding, let’s actually get time to take it in!

Fingers crossed Tim manages to get those extra scenes out there.

Thank you sweet anon, I am and I really hope you are too. this season has definitely been a lot and the finale was just the final blow so we absolutely all deserve a break to regroup now.

The fact that there are 30 minutes of extra footage already says it all. They tried to fit in the finale as much as possible, not sure if it was related to the renewal or what, but it was definitely packed and therefore the storylines felt rushed. Something just had to be moved to season 5 imo, whether it was the wyatt or robert or gabriel's storyline. Cause the storylines themselves were GREAT but they would have been ever more amazing if they had let them breathe and developed them more by giving them the time they deserved. It was just a matter of pace not quality.

That being said I rewatched both episodes separately and that honestly helped a lot in digesting everything. I think airing them back to back just amplified everything and made it feel even more overwhelming than it already was so I'd suggest doing that. Also, those were still some really good episodes and everyone's performances blew my mind.

oh I love that idea! that would have honestly been amazing to see and would have avoided everyone the trauma his death brought.

They already released one cut scene which was absolutely lovely so hopefully they're gonna give us more! They sold the season on the wedding and then they kinda undelivered on that imo. But I think that has to do with scenes being cut not necessarily them not treating it as it deserved.

Young Justice S4

Those first three eps are rough, I'm all for the Martian race thing but the plot is slow and boring. I'm not however all for a lead up to a wedding plot, I just very rarely see it done successfully and a lot of the time, it only succeeds because there are other driving factors making it work, but it's the MAIN plot here. And it's not like they cut back and forth between the main characters, it's all Ma'arz all the time. Also the ship retires and has babies too...wtf?

I like the Prince though, he reminds me a bit of Jetray. I also like the little voice clips at the end of every episode. Lots of flashbacks with Gar's PTSD. It comes off as low budget especially since they use mind links 90% of the time, so no mouth movements. Also Gar broke up with his gf, perhaps there's room for Raven? Or perhaps...someone new?

Then ep4/5 starts to show what it's trying to do and in theory, it's a pretty good idea. I'd like to think that all the budget went into the later episodes because from here on, the quality is consistently good. They give Orphan an actual role this time which I have a Top 15 Superheroes list coming that will tell you just how much that means to me. After that episode, that's all I wanted, was the next episode, that's all I could really think about for the next week but it gave me something to look forward to.

It's a lot more loaded than it let on. I'll be honest though, I could kinda care less for all the quotes Artemis says. It'd be one thing if it was just shown on screen but she actually reads them out which can come across as a bit cringey in my opinion.

They even have a Zatanna arc. She's not someone I've been very interested in and yet somehow, every episode ended up surprising me. They're just not afraid to take risks and that's rare, I guess they figure that it's been canceled and shifted platforms so many times that they might as well do what they want but it's amazing how this went through the studio and was approved because it's beyond good, there were points where I was borderline Endgame levels of hype and I never thought I'd reach that again.

But I will complain only in partial, some characters show up and act like they've been introduced already because time has passed between the seasons and I have no idea who they are from the comics but I imagine it must be liberating to see some of them for fans that already know them. 9/10 though, it had some really interesting takes, I could barely sleep the night before I watched the finale.

Hii! I was dying to ask you this but I wasn’t sure if you were watching kinnporsche. I saw this analysis on the last scene of ep4 saying that kinn was submissive since he has the control all the time, he probably feels the need to give up on it sometimes and have someone else in control and porsche, being in a situation where he has no control of and is a subordinate to kinn, the power exchange was the way they found an equal ground. While I understood this person’s take, and I know is early to say since we only had one sex scene, to me, i didn’t really see kinn as being submissive, he had to relinquish the power to porsche due to his drugged state because he needed to show his “consent” somehow, and that’s why he had to be assertive about it. But I don’t know, since you understand these dynamics way more than I do, I would like your opinion

I don't have an opinion on their sexual dynamic yet because a rape scene doesn't show us anything about what they're going to be like when they're both aware and consenting.

As for anything based on their interactions yet... I don't have much and I'm not certain about any of it.

I'd definitely lean towards Kinn as a Dom rather than a sub just based on what the show has shown us so far, but that's a very surface reading based on how they've interacted so far and how Kinn seems to react to being out of control.

He worries about Porsche in a very specific way. Kinn takes control of everything not just because he's in control but because he doesn't like other people to be in control. He's lived a life that requires him to be in control and I suspect a lot of Doms, you know, like to be in control? It kinda makes a lot of sense.

We've also seen that Porsche tends to respond to Kinn's direct commands, at least when he's sober, and we've already seen that a few times in the show. Porsche stands when told, strips his shirt off, shows his wound... Kinn automatically takes control and takes care of him and makes sure that he's okay. Kinn is always in control and seeking that control while Porsche doesn't seek control like that.

Porsche loses his own path and is struggling right now and we've seem him seeking Kinn's approval multiple times in multiple settings in small ways that seem odd and not exactly in alignment with how he was before he started to get to know Kinn and their situation a bit better.

... Okay, not much to say was an understatement.

But none of this stems from the rape scene.

The Devil Judge: Episode 5

I just finished The Devil Judge and something about this show compelled me to take copious notes - it had emotional intensity and layers of mystery. These are long and rambling, so they're likely not of interest to anyone else, but since I spent all that time writing it I decided, why not post it. Perhaps someone will find it interesting.

Below are my moment-to-moment reactions, predictions and analysis as I watched episode 5.

This is cleaned up only slightly. I followed the spelling given in the Viki subtitles. I mostly don't explain what I'm reacting to, so this will probably only make sense if you've seen the episode recently. Occasionally I give timestamps.

Interesting that they do so little to change his look between Ga-On and Isaac. That has to be intentional but why I'm not sure yet.

Hello abs.

"I don't think about a guy I've already killed. If I actually killed him, that is." To E at (3:45)

It does seem like she believes he killed her father.

(5:20). Why does G confess here? Is he totally won over by y's tale? Or is it strategic? He must know that Y already knows.

Hmm. Does Y feel seen by g? Did he figure out the frame of the revenge plan? (5:45).

(7:55) "Even if no one else understands. I do." And Y's subtle expression

Then the demand to choose.

"It's fun, being with you" what an interesting explanation to give G. I wonder what was the Korean word they translated as fun.

(9:00) This mysterious exchange with Mysterious Assistant (who was hiding in the study?)

"It is as predicted." "Then why are you doing that?" [what exactly? Letting him back on the panel?] "Who knows? Seeing that I'm being shown such sympathy, should I say I'm a little embarrassed? And I don't have much experience saying that."

(22:30) Where are the cops raiding?

(24:00) Y and Mysterious Assistant plotting on the roof.

(41:19) Oh wow. The first thing we see on the newspaper he's cutting is the ruler, presumably the one his dad used to hit him with?

This is all very staged. By Y for G? By the directors for the audience?

Y deliberately confusing G about his motives. The way they stared at each other!

"I'm used to being seen as a monster, but you looking at me that way, with that face, hurts my heart." (Y is trying to be manipulative, but maybe he also subconsciously means it? And obviously referring to Isaac's face, but is he also perhaps getting fond of G's face?)

(I haven't even got into the implications of G looking like Isaac. Is it supposed to be as exact as it is? If this really is a romance, are they implying some incestuousness on Y's part? What does this mean?!)

This whole conversation on monsters and victims and pretending to be strong. Y's shifting expressions! "You do waver if I talk like this".

(43:30). Memory/fantasy of protecting his child self from his fathers beating. (The ruler).

This child actor is so good, and also matches Ji Sung so well. It feels very believable that they're the same character.

"Don't hit me. Don't hit me." 😢 and featuring the cross on his wrist.

"I am fed up with this house." (46:35) (that sounds gothic) oh my god his face.

Oh, the lawn/window scene immediately follows. Y has taken to his bed and gets up when he hears them talking.

The moment when I realized this was a gothic romance: Ga-On is playing with Elijah on the sunny lawn and Yo-Han is in the dark house, in his expensive dressing gown, peering through the curtains staring at him. Ga-On leans back on his arms in what is frankly a flirtatious pose, and their eyes meet.

(48:18) - G's face! His unintentionally(?) seductive pose!

(48:40) Next is the mentor scene and a flashback around the motorcycle. Why did G get injured in the past? Is it plot relevant?

Mystery characters so far: The tall man that either assists Y or possibly Y reports to. And now this longhaired woman on the expensive motorcycle

Mentor asks G to choose. G pushes back (uncharacteristic?) (54:00)

G is now starting to side with Y against his mentor and his protector. He's been forced to make a choice. Explicitly asked by both Y and his mentor. This fits both a corruption story and a romance story.

Long post incoming

Some thoughts I had while watching ep4 of the Uncanny Counter season 1 (in a bulleted list):

• Man I've heard stories on how brutal bullies are in Korea, while I guess this particular "ganging up on 1 guy" isn't exclusive to Korea, the prevalence of bullying in kdramas is quite abundant.

• Cool fight sequence, all in first person. Could it perhaps be meant to indicate Wi-Gen's lack of control and seeing things from his perspective? It's cool, but is that all there is? I mean, is it there to just be a cool and unusual sequence, or is it symbolism? I remember that old Doom movie has a similar sequence, but that was to mimic and give homage to the video game it adapted. If it was to showcase Mun's rage, I kinda fail to see it. Yes, it is a brutal beat-up, but there's not enough visually showing it in the cinematography. There's a blur effect, but maybe they should've made it more pronounced like a tunnel vision or made him see red (literally)?

• And like I suspected, So Mun's power is to create a "territory". Just what was needed, seeing that his predecessor died because it disappeared.

• Of course, the rich parents come in and will not accept that their children should be punished. As if they're literally a "better man" than their "poor" peers. And Sugar Daddy comes to save the day again!

• "I bet you don't have a trillion won in your bank!

• Justice for all victims of bullies!

• That bully, the mayor's son, will definitely become possessed by a wandering soul. Or maaaaybe he will get powers from like a counter-like group but evil? He has too much screen-time by now that he will for sure play a bigger role as our boy's rival.

• The police are corrupt, the mayor and possibly others are corrupt. We do get the good cop woman, who faces obstacles at every turn.

• The plot regarding Mo-Tak's (attempted) murder and So Mun's parents' death is intriguing, and they were definitely involved with something. But what could that be? Has it to do with the counters? Or is it a plot separate from the main plot (although, since it's currently the only plot, I find that implausible)

• Hahah, Mo-Tak's face when finding out him and the girl cop were together once.

• "I can't lose the counter job. Wi-Gen promised I'd meet my parents if I did good as a counter" - boy, 🤦‍♀️ you violated one of their rules, that "if" is no longer in play..... you did not do good, lmao.

• Hahahah everyone just fainting by transferring to the other side. But man, Chu Mae Ok mvp: "Don't mess with my baby!" Paraphrasing, but YES!

• Hahaha, Mo-Tak doing a superhero landing on their table 🤣 😂

• I'm pretty sure Wi-Gen has already decided. She's just keeping her mouth shut for dramatic effect. She's probably dying inside from all the drama around her.

• Like why is that lady there. Why is she so disagreeable? (Talking about Mo-Tak's afterlife partner)

• The afterlife group. Is that like a family? Grandma, and three grandchildren??

• Netflix should really fix the subtitles. Sometimes they are late to show up and then, they disappear in a flash to make room for the next sentence... if the show had been in Japanese I might have been able to understand some of what they're saying, but Korean is beyond me except for certain words, so I'm afraid I'm missing out on key info sometimes.

• Wait wait wait. Omg really. So the mayor or whoever is in a sauna? Looks like one. I was wondering why the fuck they still look so wet? Like even if you immediately get into it after a shower your skin dries in like a minute or two. But these guys are still dripping. (Pls excuse the literal screenshots)

• Lmao they really be doing sauna in 43 degrees Celsius?? You mofos are weak af. 🤣🤣🤣🤣. My parents have a sauna in their house, and we never use it under 75 degrees, and that is low by our standards. My dad goes up to 90 degrees at times!

• And they keep the door open and let all the warmth out!

• So the mayor is renting land from another rich old dude, who thinks they are hiding something illegal? He doesn't seem to be a good guy either since he probably has connections to the corrupt cops. That old man will for sure die by the mayor's hand.

• Wow that was quick. Getting a hitman?

• Oh wait, the "hitman" is the guy's son? Adopted? Guardian relationship? Cuz that relationship is one sided. Daddy issues galore.

• Wuuuuuuut??! Mae Ok's partner is her own son? Damn that's kinda sad. And who is the girl in his wedding picture? Should I know her? And he can't find deaths from 2013 and So Mun's parents. Maybe that means they aren't dead? But there's corruption even in the afterlife, it seems. Intriguing.

• Oh, So Mun got his father's number.

• So "hitman" is a hitman and got powers. Possibly level 3? But that's a bit weird. Maybe that soul will transfer to mayor's son? Or the mayor and his goonies have a deal with the corrupt part of the afterlife?

Well, I'll find out as I progress. But I don't have time to continue today!
