IGGY ART/DOODLE DUMP💚🐍✨

Hi all!! It’s been a minute :D PLEASE bear with me I have so much I wanna say😭 Here’s a bunch of a traditional doodles I’ve whipped up recently, I also added an aggie piece I did of Iggy :3

BUT FIRST PSA, i had a name change on here! I was previously “koopaling-enthusiast” (in case some of my followers are confused😭),, i changed my insta account to the same username as my current too (wackiwhimsi) :3 … I wanted a change to include my sona’s name (who hopefully in the coming months i can finally post on here🥳)

If i’m being 100% transparent, I’ve also kinda been going through it recently in terms of my art…sometimes I feel like I’m not improving at the rate I want to be :c But!!! Recently i’ve also been hearing extremely kind, supportive words from friends/supporters, and that’s what’s been keeping me going☺️ gave me a huge confidence boost. yall know who you are!!! <3 The support means SO MUCHHH more to me than you could ever imagine. Koopaling luvrs unite!!!

Also!!! I’ve getting more art supplies recently, experimenting with acrylic paint markers, prismacolors, copics, and so much more. Excited for how this can help me translate all of the other countless koopaling visions i have in my brain at the moment (and boy do I have A LOT😅)…. Hm, I also find that I’m more creative when I’m drawing in my backyard/when I’m outside so that’s what I’ve been doing :)

discovered your sketchbook on accident and when he opened it, just imagine his eyes going wide as he drops everything he was doing and runs out to find you in the living room. he’s like “you’ve been hiding all this from me?” but when he stumbles upon a sketch on the side of hoshi w his stuffed animal tiger, he immediately pouts and feels that pang of jealousy and you’re like “hoshi was the one who wanted me to draw him like that! you know I always love drawing you!”

knows you love drawing but didn’t expect to find a sketchbook filled w drawings of him. just in pure awe the entire time as he goes thru the sketchbook with you next to him, muttering quiet praises of admiration that leaves you meltingggg. but when he finds this unfinished sketch of what looks like joshua, all he could do is look at it and be like all sarcastically “hm, I don’t remember you having a second boyfriend?”

would be so enanamoured by your drawing abilities. every time you flip a page to show him more drawings you’ve done of him he would constantly try to go back to the previous page, admire it for a minute longer, before telling you to proceed. but when you flip to a page showing a little drawing of seokmin, he’d look down at it, grab your pencil from your hand, and erase seokmin’s face to replace with a silly one, drawing an arrow saying “← not your boyfriend”

literally in awe and shock the entire time, constantly showering you w praise and prob constantly asking questions like how did you draw his nose so perfectly?? how do you shade so perfectly?? how the heck did you draw hair?? he has so many questions and you are willing to answer all of them. but when he stumbles upon a drawing of minghao he gets all whiny “why did you draw him?? I’m right here!!!”

another one constantly asking questions and praising you, and he reacts so dramatically as you flip thru each page. this time all of your respective drawings is ensured to always have some sort of tiger/horanghae reference in there. so when he sees a sketch of jihoon doing a wooahae he just gets all disappointed and pouts “if you were going to draw another guy at least make him do a horanghae” knowing damn well jihoon won’t ever do that irl

is silently appreciating each and every drawing. pieces together the outfits you’ve drawn in his mind since he would catch you drawing when you both are alone, and turns out you were drawing him at whatever moment you could. but when he sees a silly lil sketch of mingyu, he takes off his glasses to get a closer look and you see the kinda jealous look to his face and you’re like “babe don’t be jealous, it was the time we all hung out together and mingyu wanted a lil doodle of himself”

lee jihoon

he’s like wonwoo but a bit more vocal abt it. super super impressed from how accurate your drawings are. and you always say to him after every drawing “its bcuz you looked so handsome at the time” and he get so so shy abt it, but internally he’s deeply touched. but when he sees a drawing of seungcheol he gets a tad bit jealous and crosses his arms “did he look handsome at the time too?”

xu minghao

honestly don’t be surprised if he also has a sketchbook full of drawings of you lmao. the two of you are practically bound together by your interests in art and prob have frequent doodling n painting sessions together, always complimenting and praising each others work. but if he stumbles upon a funny drawing jun in the corner, he does that lip pout iykwim “what happened to me being your muse, honey?”

kim mingyu

is like every possible synonym of the word happiness and endeared and loved. gets dramatic like hoshi and becomes so prideful like “I know I was so handsome that day, right?” or you know “you got my good angles!” and you just roll your eyes playfully. but boy does this man pout and sulk like crazy whenever he sees like a drawing of wonwoo or another member “babe, I thought this was a sketchbook about ME”

lee seokmin

oh he’s so happy, like beyond happy and giddy. absolutely melting inside n squealing throughout each page turn with his mouth open agape. he’s literally so proud of you for the efforts you put in each drawing of him and wishes he can pay your love back somehow. but if he sees a lil doodle of joshua or other members on another page he has that cute frown to his face and whines “sunshine...” then he’s like “okay you know what would be better?” and then he draws a mustache or something funny on top of the drawing

boo seungkwan

is literally your personal fanboy and hypes you up from any drawing you show him, but he gets soo shy n flustered whenever you showed him drawings that you did of him. in amazement he’s like “is that really me?” as he takes in each drawing with absolute detail. but if he sees this funny sketch of vernon on one page, he might get a lil insecure, so pls reassure him that it was only a funny moment you wanted to draw when vernon and seungkwan came over to your place

vernon chwe

gives those nods of approval as you go through each page. it may not seem like it, but he’s very very impressed. here and there he quietly mutters a soft “wow” as he traces a finger over some of the drawings as if making sure it was real and not a figment of his imagination. but say he sees a lil funny doodle of seungkwan, he’d be like “wow that actually looks like him” and then you lightly slap his arm “babe! he doesn’t even have a face”

begs on your knees for you to show him your drawings, and when you do, he gets so into it. “wait wasn’t this the time when we had that cafe date?” or “omg! that’s when we went to the zoo during the holiday” and then he attempts to recreate some of the poses. but when he stumbles upon a brief sketch of jeonghan or another member, he just scoffs “wait till you see this. I can do a better pose than him!”

Well! Seems like a lot of people had a lot to say about mischaracterized Kirby characters, as a matter of fact, there were a whooping 57 entries! Well, let’s get going with them, shall we? Just,,, beware that this is a LOOONG post.

Haltmann

The dude 100% did fucked up shit and needs to be held accountable but people seem to so easily forget the degree he was influenced/corrupted by Star Dream. I don't understand why people hate Haltmann and love Star Dream who is arguably the actual reason HWC started colonizing and draining planets. Also the fact that Haltmann isn't conventionally attractive to the majority of the fandom makes him less sympathetic ig?? But the dude is a grieving father who made mistakes that sent him down a spiral into being corrupted and then deleted by a heartless machine. I can't help but pity him

Prince Fluff

Go on ao3. Look in his tag on tumblr. He exists only to be Kirby or Shadow Kirby's love interest most of the time, with no personality of his own.

He barely gets recognized anymore, and if he does, it's usually as a ship Prince Fluff was a big part of my childhood, with Epic Yarn being my first game. To me, he was Kirby's fellow main character, and they had a cool sibling/best friend relationship. But now, a lot of what I see of him is just . . . Kirfluff. Which is cool and all, but man's a prince! He can do more than be a boyfriend! Heck, he runs an entire kingdom by himself! One thing that I want to see more of is Fluff as a stressed but caring ruler, not just a sidekick/boyfriend to the pink puff. Give yarn boy his deserved appreciation!.

Dark Meta Knight

Hello! I am here to spread the good word of a character with no personality. It's the mirror thing. Of course. Dark Meta Knight has No Personality. Zero. Nada. Zilch. He's Meta Knight but Dark. What does that mean? Your guess. He fights Meta Knight. And wins lmao skill issue blueboy. And fights Kirby. And loses a few times, which isn't surprising. He was dumb enough to split Kirby in four, though. Four times the Kirby is four times the amount your ass is grass. You're practically a forest at that point because you're so grass. So he's violent and has no personality outside of being violent. Woo! Triple Deluxe has him attack Dedede in Dededetour inside the Mirror. This has led people to think he fucked over Sectonia. This makes my heart bleed as much as Taranza probably did when he was punted off of Royal Road via Fuck You Lightning Ball. My man just has no sense of timing,,,, They just wanted to include a Meta Knight battle because Knight Battles are a Kirby standard at this point,,, You think a man that stupid can figure out how to take advantage of a woman's insecurity? I don't even know if he knows women exist. How many female Amazing Mirror characters are there??? Boxy??? Moley mentions having a wife once and Dameta doesn't know what he means. But other than being driven to immense violence and being scapegoated for the stuff his boss probably did, Dameta has other hobbies! Like whatever his motivation in Star Allies is. Something dastardly, I'm sure. People really like to pretend he's not part of the Star Ally club when my man is doodling with toddlers and posing with his less cool less edgy self. Would a villain have a silly little we heart kirby statue? No, didn't think so. Also I cannot imagine him as a dad to Shadkirby either. Do they even interact? I've seen both "Amazing dad" and "Outright abusive" as interpretations and I can't go with either. But I think that's because I don't enjoy Metadad that much. They're like awkward coworkers. He thinks they're student and mentor. They're not even that. Dameta barely knows Shadow exists.

Dark Meta Knight is very popularly characterized as like an abusive parent, usually physically abusive. Mainly to Shadow Kirby, of course. He's an asshole, yeah, but not THAT bad, christ. I've seen multiple fics where Shadow Kirby is some poor little hey what t the fuck hes fighting himself. um. Back to being a hater.

Shadow Kirby

Some folks still think he's shy/cowardly like from the Amazing Mirror Days. Not really true anymore. From what fans have seen from the ending of the game, he does protect the Mirror World. As for the spin off games that include him, he's pretty tough and even creates mischief sometimes.

Shadow Kirby is constantly treated as an "evil" Kirby. Especially bad after Fighters and fighters two. Not to mention "Parallel Kirby". There's also a strangely common trend of making them more sapient than pink Kirby, who tends to be infantilised to hell and back. Shadow Kirby also is often treated as a complete coward who can't do anything right, when they aren't called evil.

He's shown as completely different in several different occasions, not only in personality but in design I like shadow kirby he's purple and then he's not

Dark Taranza

Dark Taranza, gonna be honest what little characterization people give him are actually okay compared to the rest. But I'm still a hater and hang on im watching jerma clips. okay. He's like Sectonia if Sectonia was Taranza if that makes sense.

Shadow Dedede

Shadow Dedede barely gets shit but I'm going to be a little hater anyways. I don't like most characterizations. I see people make him like a dictator like bro he's literally just some guy.

Sectonia

have you seen how often people say that sectonia and taranza were boyfriend and girlfriend in canon?????? they were never!!! shes the gosh dang final boss but shes only ever used to give taranza angst. she is her own person with a personality!!!! yes their backstories are interconnected but gosh!!!!

This not too prominent but I can't stand it when people portray her as an uwu shy girl pre-corruption. While she gave in her worst aspects, she was probably always a kind of vain, girlboss! I mean she knows how to fight with rapiers c'mon!!!

idk it just feels like lots of people just see her as Taranza's tragic dead wife and like nothing else you know? like she is more than that and I feel like what little content we have of her proves that (like the soul boss descriptions (especially the original japanese text of the 2nd phase!!) and the eternal dream song) - or maybe im reading too much into those because im hyperfixating on my blorbo whoops

Kine

I'm not sure how true this opinion is considering how little people talk about Kine, I feel this is partially the anime's fault, or maybe its because of how he just looks, but Kine is cool and is not some stupid loser fish. Before the days of Crystal Shards, Him, Kirby, Rick & Coo were the dream team at the time, always hanging out going, with various activities long before the days of Meta Knight or even Dedede. Kine is an awesome aquatic rep for the Kirby series not to mention drinking and being a pirate and Kine even has a Wife! Kine has got it! I guess this is a partial compliant of Ship of Theseus which can be applied with Rick & Coo too, but I feel Kine gets the most hate if any because of people who are unfamiliar just see a dopey fish and are unaware of his origins and his past with Kirby. I'm not upset with the current representation of the Kirby cast (I love the RTDL team being the main crew) but I do hope the animal buddies get some more love, Especially Kine.

People either portray him as a edgy sociopath or constantly bored and annoyed. Portraying him as an adult or a teen kinda annoys me as well. I'm very picky about portrayals of Marx so don't get upset if you portray him as one of these I've listed.

Sometimes I see people only joking about the "hungry so he came along" thing with Marx and it's pretty overdone

They took one look at him and said “to the insane asylum bitch”. I don’t think he’s some crazy murder hobo rather a dude with questionable morals and puts his own mischief and fun before others it seems. Though Marx is indeed one of the least “character” characters when I mean he doesn’t have much depth in comparison to other characters. But you could do anything else than have him follow the Jevil path of him being crazy. Make him evil? Sure. Make him a cringefail idiot? Sure. Make him a crybaby bitch? Go ahead. But making him the definition of what a 14 year old white girl in New Jersey that probably is addicted to Instagram and thinks Webtoon comics are the highest level of art and storytelling’s definition of insane doesn’t cut it cuz. Slapping the spaz label without a thought of what’s being done on a character who fits the mark makes the Schizoid peeved who coulda known. As this is all coming from the one person who has likely ruined Marx’s character the most for Kirblur by making him a somewhat empathetic manchild who clings to both pipe dreams of normality and being a monster btw. (Also this doesn’t mean jokes, you can joke about him being a psycho like Jerma it’s when it’s taken 100% seriously is when it’s bad). Also to add on, Woobification of Marx or any Kirby character period CAN be annoying if taken too far. I take full responsibility in the fact my variant is also woobifed to an extent but that train full of ticking bombs doesn’t bother me as much. Make him sadcry and be gay he deserves both those things. Send him to sad hell with the rest of them.

To the anon above... What?

Making him stupid or reducing him to just Silly Clown. Or just having him act in purely impulsive or spontaneous ways (which sometimes happens when juxtaposed with a more "collected" character like Magolor).

Daroach

this is something i’ve noticed specifically in chatfics, but when daroach is in the ensemble some of them tend to designate him as the Goofy Meme Dumbass for… idk, fandom quota? i really don’t know why it happens because he has a bunch of canon dialogue (and alternate continuity stuff like the novels) that show him to be cool and clever. i’m not saying he can’t have a sense of humor or anything (he’s definitely the type to have a bunch of quips), but it sucks when he’s mischaracterized because the fandom doesn’t give him that much attention as is. if you NEED a silly haha guy, marx is right there!”

Morpho Knight

"Morpho Knight is a creature of mercy. It's a benevolent entity putting tired souls to rest." NO?! I'm going to copy-paste some stuff I put in a post of my own. A while back, SYZekrom on Reddit translated Morpho Knight's entry, and it contains some... interesting information. Allow me to provide some excerpts. "He’s a red knight with butterfly wings, continuing from a pair of white wings like an angel’s, and a pair of azure wings with a bit of an evil feel." This is the first of two instances where Morpho Knight is outright stated to be evil. There's also stuff in the art book that supports my theory that Galacta and Morpho are permanently fused and the former is not dead, but I don't want to get carried away. These are its gacha figure descriptions in Forgotten Land: "The fluttering fiend that casts judgment upon final battles is drawn toward the isolated isles of Forgo Dreams. There, it feasts on the most powerful soul it finds and takes the fearsome form of a scarlet-clad knight… Let the most challenging battle of this new world begin!" –English "One of the dreaming birds, which are said to pass judgement upon decisive battles, drifts towards a forgotten, isolated isle as if summoned. There, it sips upon the strongest Soul and descends as a red knight. Finally, welcome the dusk… of the deadliest battle in this New World!" –Japanese While at first glance there doesn't seem to be any information of note, the "fluttering fiend" bit in the English version is outright stating Morpho Knight is evil, and the phrase "he deadliest battle in this New World" doesn't sound particularly heroic. But I digress... Morpho is NOT a good person! This is clearly leading up to a villain vs hero confrontation! Which, may I add, implies that reaping Galacta Knight wasn't necessarily a good thing for it to do?!

Elfilis

elfilis is NOT entirely malicious. they would gladly accept hugs and kisses. being in a fucking capsule ALONE and AWARE for likely CENTURIES will DO SOMETHING TO YOU YOU KNOW?? god fucking DAMN dude... and after the ending of the true arena in the game, WILLINGLY GAVE THEMSELF UP TO ELFILIN. also they're not fucking DEAD you PSYCHOPAYHS elfilis is STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE!!!!!!! RUUAAAGGGH!!!!!!!!!!

Susie

Being Evil or being a Sad uwu girl who has had bad things happen to her seems to be the only way most people can portray this character.

Susie isn't a friend. She's selfish and wanted to take over the company. Her "redemption" is pointing Kirby at the world-ending machine, gives him armor, and then stands around. She doesn't even know his name. The closest she does for good is tell Kirby to do something he would've done on his own.

My girl really became the subject of hate thanks to a mistranslation. I mean yeah she likes robots and shit but the fact that people think she is a terrible person and that she's still colonizing planets makes me upset. i blame the translation team for everything.

When people say she has fully redeemed herself and is reduced to cishet, pretty girl??? Like no, star allies mistranslation my ass you fell for her corporate propaganda. The female characters in this franchise, while lovable, is not nearly as popular as a lot of the male ones. HAL literally gave us a morally grey girlboss who we can still sympathise with. She actually feels like a very real character in this fictional world.

You Know How People Are About Her

she's not even my blorbo!!!!!! everyone thinks she's a huge evil bitch who has done terrible genuinely unspeakable things. i read a fic that went on and on abt the horrible things she "did" to meta knight when he was mechanized (things so bad i cant even say) and i was pulling my hair out she did not fucking do any of that!!!! yes the universe can have pretty dark moments but good lord people only use her to woobify meta knight and give fuel to ship him with others and it pisses me off lol. or people go too far the other way and woobify HER to ship with him and aughhhh no one has a shred of media literacy. she's not purely good or purely evil she's such a complex character who did bad things because she was in a bad situation and the best example of a morally grey character who's on no one's side but herself and that will always be more interesting that 100% good or 100% evil. once again she's not even my blorbo but i've never seen a character butchered this badly by a fandom

Because of mistranslation (from what I've heard) Susie's whole mechanizing planets has been the number one thing when it came to susie hate and the only reason as to why people hate this girl so much. Honestly Susie's character has been fucked up immensely and no one has such a divided spread of opinions like she does. Some people brush away her backstory and make her a soulless being with no love whatsoever.

Oh my god. Oh my god. Susie Haltmann. I cannot with the fandom interpretations anymore. It's ridiculous how bad they've gotten. Susie is a two dimensional character. I absolutely despise seeing people portray her as some sort of greedy capitalist bastard and "the one with the braincell". In canon, she's consistently been portrayed as a sweet person (with a knack for violence, but EVERYONE in this series is like that). Everything bad she did in Planet Robobot was FOR WORK and the will of HER FATHER, and even if she did want to do the things she did, she's clearly not doing them any more. The "mechanizing planets and peoples" line in Star Allies is a mistranslation. And the "punishing savages" doesn't have to mean anything bad. It could mean she's punishing evildoers with her money and resources. In fact, I've seen some translations put it like that And Meta Knight... is just the straw that broke the camel's back. Oh lord. Why does everyone insist that he hates her? There's the little scene in Star Allies... but god, that isn't canon, it's clearly a joke. If anything, Susie might have been trying to talk to him and he was just trying to avoid her in a misinterpretation of the situation. It's supposed to be funny. Why are you imposing this onto people like this automatically makes Susie a devil incarnate and anything involving those two characters in problematic? Just shut up.

Meta Knight

Everyone thinks he’s just the ‘edgy character’ or ‘the uncaring mentor figure’ while in actuality he really does care for Kirby (and Bandana Dee) more than anyone gives him credit for!

Everyone either makes him all broody and lonesome, like shadow the hedgehog or batman; or they make him a goofy dad, like Dedede or Hugh Neutron. To fair this has been less common lately but back during 2014-2016 MK was usually portrayed in fanart/fanfic as either this wise veteran or cold edgelord. He is just an unhindged!!! Silly!!! Guy!!! He can be cool and cringefail!!! But he is also compassionate in his own aloof, awkward way!!!

i am not a big fan of the metadede ship. i think people are shipping for the sake of having a ship and nothing else. As someone with a severely underrepresented orientation (aromantic and asexual), when I see a character I like, I will project onto said character. This is the case with my interpretation of Meta Knight. I saw a cool character that I liked who a) doesn’t have any canon love interests and b) didn’t really need a whole ton of friends/significant others to be happy with life. Meta Knight always seemed to be perfectly content with the friends he has on Popstar and his crew and everyone in the anime, so I looked to him for hope that I could live the same way. I was open to the metadede ship at first, but as time passed, I felt less and less comfortable with it. It seemed to me that people were so hungry for gay ships that they just pulled this one out of thin air courtesy of Kirby Fighters 2, which is to my knowledge the only piece of media that somewhat supports this. Why can’t people just be happy with MK and Dedede being friends or frenemies? I’m probably starting drama with this bc I know how popular metadede is on Tumblr so I apologize for upsetting you if that is the case. But I also feel that I shouldn’t apologize just because I have a different opinion.

I dislike how "pathetic" the fandom has made him out to be. I don't like it when he's portrayed as overpowered but... "pathetic, whiny manlet" could not be further from the truth. How did we get to that?

Kirby

Often people make Kirby more dependent on others than he actually is. He's an extremely independent person that literally cannot be stopped by anyone who tries to get in his way

The anime portrays them as a literal infant, and due to its overprevalence (despite not being in the same stream of canon as the games), this is often their characterization in the fandom. Canonically, they indeed are a child (at most, they'd probably be a teen in the modern games), but they are old enough to talk, and they demonstrate a high amount of emotional and even technical intelligence.

Admittedly, this is one that usually only happens to people outside the fandom, but it bugs me when people portray Kirby as a sort of immoral monster who only does good things on accident. When it’s quite the opposite! He may not be incredibly bright, but he does his best to help people. Oddly enough, there’s not many cases of “he would not say that” in the fandom for me because of how loose Kirby’s story is. It is lore heavy but the actual characters aren’t super concrete save for a few and I think that’s perfectly fine

People forget that their air bullet!! is an attack!! its literally one of their only ways of dealing damage in DL1!!! I’m looking at you Smash Bros!!! Why isn’t it their nair?????????

WHAT DIDN'T THEY DO!?!?!? Taranza, as we see him in Triple Deluxe, is such a fun villain. He's dramatic, arrogant, a total suck-up to Sectonia, and it's so. Fucking. Good. He's a devious bastard, he monologues!!! His animations in the Clash games are so fucking campy and dramatic it's chefs kiss!!!! Fanon Taranza is as plain as white bread. Sometimes as pale as it, looking at some of the gijinkas. No shade though! As little shade as there is melanin in him lmAO- He is flanderised to hell and back. There are so. Many. Fucking. Taranzas who happen to be nothing but sad and weepy about his evil dead wife. Where's the bite!!! The pizzazz!!! Even in canon, when he is a bit of a wet sack later on, he still hunts for an altar he can bring her back on. My boy's a wannabe necromancer!!! Write that shit in your lost lenore Sectonia fic you fucking cowards Queen's Phantom ain't just for show. The above is also evidence for woobification! The fucker is obviously sad his crush is dead! And he's not suuuper objectified (That usually goes to Seccy rest in piss girlie) but the way he's treated in some ships is. Eugh. Fucking Magoranza amirite he's basically there to look responsible and cute (I've already explained my issue with this) and to fix the tortured soul who is Magolor (I do not like Magolor. Nor Magoranza.) Tbh Sectaranza does the same he's there to be tragic because his girlie's dead. When you give him less personality than the dead cardboard cutout you know you fucked up. Anyways these ramblings are here to remind you what Hal Labs stole from us: Taranza but not a TOTAL saddo. Theatre kid Taranza. Arrogant prick. He's even British.

For the anon above me, I just wanted to say that this entry is probably my favorite and lives rent free in my mind.

Everyone needs to stop reducing him to pathetic simp. He is allowed to grieve but he's probably one of the more mature characters within the series???

People disregard everything else about his character to make his tragic relationship with sectonia his only character trait. Not sure if this quite counts as woobifying since he does canonically still mourn her (and obviously seeing a close friend/crush go down the path of self destruction and ultimately die from it WOULD NOT be something you'd get over quickly). But I'm so tired of taranza in fanart and the like being an uwu softboy with Crying as his main character trait. Like he's canonically more than that! He goes full cocky villain mode when you confront him near the end of triple deluxe and he can pack a punch in star allies with his magic! If you're going to write about him prove that you don't just know about the guy from twitter artwork!

He’s a bit annoyed at first since he likes to keep a clean look going but if you really feel that you “have” to draw on him, then he’ll let you.

He prefers if you doodle on his forearms or upper arms. Hands are a no go for work reasons.

One of the times that he was getting ready to “take care of someone” in his torture room he had a bit of an awkward situation because of it. Essentially, the person in question went from looking mortified to confused as he saw the little doodle on his upper arm from underneath his button up. Obviously this is quickly forgotten when some fingers were taken off but it got him thinking.

He’s used to your doodles that he doesn’t even notice them all too much. That is until one day when he notices a specific one.

He feels oddly proud and happy when he sees it. So, he decides to get it professionally tattooed to surprise you.

He’ll start walking around with his sleeves rolled up and let you draw more. Might even let you draw on his knuckles.

Naki

He’s kind of confused at first but once he sees that you’re just doodling cute designs on him, he wholeheartedly encourages it!

He’ll start carrying pens around when you’re together so that you can draw on him. As this goes on he’ll go ahead and get you those tattoo pens so that your designs will last longer.

He knows that the tattoo pens are better to have on your skin but he loves gel pens. He’s got a drawer full of glitter and rainbow gel pens. There’s an endless supply.

After a while he’d ask to start doing the same to you. His drawings are a little crude but the little smiling figures, flowers, hearts, and swirls are just too cute.

Like Yamori, he’d probably ask you to design him a tattoo. I can see Naki getting a sleeve done with your art no matter what it is. It’s your art and he loves it just as much as he loves you.

He’d also ask if y’all could doodle something meaningful on each other and then get matching tattoos that way.

He’s a silly guy, he likes silly things, he wants to see your silly drawings. Better yet, draw on him. That way, he can see them all the time!

He really likes ones with little animals like dogs. If you doodle a simple lizard on his hand or leg, he rocks his jorts and your drawings, he will absolutely love it.

He puts smiley faces on your arm sometimes, he’ll be happy if you do the same.

You might even catch him doodling on himself after a while. Heck, you might’ve kick started a whole hobby!

He loves when y’all can draw on each other or even paint on each other.

He scoffs. Just straight up. Does he love you? Yes. Does he want ink all over his “perfect body”? No.

He thinks it’s pointless but he’ll begrudgingly let you when he’s out of his suit. Even then, it’s not very often.

He wants things like eagles, stars, etc. He’d feel a lot of pride if you went ahead and put his name on yourself though.

He’ll start carrying around a small notepad and pen for you when you ask to draw on him. It feels a little hurtful at first but when you open it you see some very reassuring words.

“Draw on this in the meantime, silly goose.”

Black Noir

He doesn’t exactly take off his uniform, plus he also doodles frequently! Y’all will probably go back and forth drawing on random slips of paper, note pads, etc.

After you notice him drawing some specific characters, you start drawing ones of your own along with his!

This makes him absolutely elated!

He got an invisible marker for you to draw stuff on his uniform with. He’s got a beaver on his gauntlet now, nobody has to know about that of course.

His friends told him to draw you a picture after he found out that he was going to be gone for a lot longer than he thought he would.

You woke up to a handmade card of the both of you that said “I’ll miss you!” In cursive. He even made sure to draw a little heart with the both of y’all’s initials on your hand.

Doodles that I made during the week!!

The poll says "yes" so basically, here is the dynamic:

At the end of the week, I would make a post with all the drawings that I made during my classes.

There is no specific topic. One day we can have minecraft, stick figures, kirby, my characters or whatever my brain decide to draw.

Yeah, I get bored a lot in class, I saw all the drawings and I see an opportunity to have more art in this blog, even if is not a digital one.

Alright! With that said, let’s go with the drawings!!

Enderman character who was a human and now is a reincarnation of an enderman.

This character is from a silly minecraft story made by me and he’s the protagonist, this story is the definition of "let's see how much minecraft content I grew up with I can put in this"

man. I love minecraft

Speaking of minecraft, one of the things that I watch when I was little was “Monster School” and I was completely normal (lying) when Alan decided to make a reference to the original in one of the episodes of “animation vs minecraft”.

I originally wanted to make some designs, but I didn’t remember much about their personality, so made (conveniently) the enderman, the skeleton, and the spider since they appear in Monster School episode of AvM.

And Herobrine ‘cause, why not?

Look at that! Kirby content and they’re some dark matter gijinka designs!

Get bored and I start drawing Nebula gijinka (because is my favorite) and at some point made the mouth very different than I usually do and I go: “heck yeah. I know what I gonna do”

So basically, we have redesigns (even if I didn’t show their previous designs) of them, and I definitely love them!

The stickman figures series brainrot never ends, so I made Second with he’s powers like in episode 4 of AvA, and Red being possessed by Herobrine in the episode 30 of AvM.

just want to address something i've been getting in tags of reblogs of my art, and something i've seen in regard to other artists/writers with a great deal of skill who decide to use that skill to make fan art.

I received two separate comments on two separate art pieces of House fanart just yesterday saying my skill is wasted on them, and i have a lot to say about that.

while i dont think either of the comments were intended maliciously, i think we need to reframe our idea of good fanart being a waste of time/energy/skill by the artist/writer.

in real life, i am a professional artist. i am an art instructor. i make "real" art that goes into exhibitions, and yes, i also decide to spent my time/energy/skills on drawing blorbos.

I think that drawing the things you are connected to and drawing silly fandom art for the heck of it is exactly how you Get those skills. I am good at portraits because I frequently draw or paint portraits. And I frequently draw or paint portraits bc I want to be able to capture blorbo bc I feel like it and I can.

Someone said my 'skills at colors and expression' was what was wasted on them and I want to emphasize that I’m able to capture their microexpressions bc that is what I want to be able to capture, so I make an effort, and I keep practicing until I’m able to do that. When I’m drawing portrait of random ppl online as portrait practice I’m just drawing what I see instead of trying to capture an essence of a person or character I'm familiar with. And that’s a different skill!

And I’m good at colors (partially bc I’m an artist who paints a lot but in this specific example it’s:) because doodling a blorbo is low stakes. I try new things and learn new techniques bc it’s just something I’m doing for me, for fun, and I’m not getting graded on it and I don’t need to hang it in a museum.

It’s art for the sake of being made, which is exactly what you need to make to continue getting better at making.

The stupid hyperfixation of drawing all the frames of a gif is ridiculous when it’s all for a house md effort, objectively yeah lmao, but it’s the equivalent of studying any other image for hours and distinguishing how micro movements affect which muscles, and how the movement of different muscles changes the shape of shadows and light, and it helps anchor understanding of anatomy.

And drawing all this stupid stuff is especially fun for me bc I can see my actual real art skills improving with every drawing I make or thing I write which benefits my real world art. Like I know this might sound some type of way, like I’m trying to make it sound like drawing gay old man medical malpractice yaoi is subverting the zeitgeist and some sort of momentous critical imperative but I don’t think it’s that serious. Which is my whole point! It’s not that serious, it doesn’t matter, AND I’m genuinely improving my craft while doing it so what’s the issue is basically my point ig. And I wouldn’t be drawing at all currently if I wasn’t drawing them bc there’s nothing I feel drawing to capture in this medium irl!

(and if you've left this comment in tags or otherwise, this is not an attack! it is a backhanded compliment to receive/give, but I also acknowledge that it's not usually said with malice, and not something you were likely thinking about to this level. that's ok! just listen & learn yk)

Using your skills for things you enjoy is never a waste! You're exercising your art muscles and bulking up! if you make art outside of fanart it WILL benefit from these endeavors. and if you don't make art outside of fanart, then you're still engaging in the wonderful beautiful practice of creating!

Hey Raven! today marks 2 years since I first found you on twitter, back then I still struggled with abusive parents, but following your art journey and positivity made me realise that I'm only denying myself happiness by trying to please an abusive person that might turn on me again in a flash. I've picked up drawing around a year ago and I'm having a blast with it! so um, just wanted to let you know that even posting silly lesbians on the internet might inspire some of us and just wanted to thank you :) Oh and to anyone who might struggle with similar situations: You might think it's better this way, that they might stop eventually if you keep it up - it's a loop you can easily get stuck in, even might be unaware of it. Dimensional Numbers

Dimensions are layered on top of each other very closely, like layers of paint on a wall! The first one is Dimension 0, or the Underunder, where all energy (navitas) emanates from. As navitas slowly escapes (and eventually returns) to the Underunder, it creates life along the way.

There are the vertical layers, represented by whole numbers like 170, 2814, or 8, which are anchors for multidimensions (170.4, 2814.0009, 8.341, etc.) which are variants of their parent dimensions, and from a writing stand point for me act as canon AU's! For example, St. Agatha City, my game, is set in 714.2, because I didn't want it to disrupt the plots currently going on in plain old 714.

Basically, I just use them to keep track of things, but they also represent a potential for magic in a realm (the closer to 0, the higher the chance.) Above is a section of my ugly spread sheet I try to use to keep track of things! For some reason I decided the Simpsons is canon to my universe (????)

Oldest and Newest Works

Newest - I try VERY VERY hard not to come up with new stuff at the moment since I have so many characters and am working on St. Agatha diligently, buuut... old habits die hard!

These are the newest characters of mine! They were in a dream I had and I got attached to them. The ratgirl, Naomi, was a human who was spliced into a rat to be studied by some dipshit mad scientist with a complex, and the guy with auburn hair on the left is Brennan, the son of the scientist, who is being pressured by his father into being involved with the experiments. Clearly reluctant, Naomi opportunistically attempts to befriend Brennan in the hopes that he would help her escape down the line.

VERY silly story that isn't in line with my usual works, but these guys haunt me!

The oldest thing archived are the dog characters I drew in elementary school, but that's not really a story so I don't think they count. The oldest story I currently have on Toyhouse is probably Nightworld or Zombie Lane, both of which were made in 2012!

Zombie Lane is about Ivy Kohen, a little weirdo with no useful life skills, accidentally becoming the center of the world's most convoluted reverse-harem! Despite this premise I am still very fond of the entire cast, and I think it holds up!

Nightworld is about a young autistic girl getting isekai'd to another dimension and then getting microwaved by the background radiation of the universe as she grows up on an alien planet, with her three roommates - hotdog vendor scarecrow, a bird man, and a sentient cloud of space-time continuum contained in an orange turtleneck sweater!

Warrior Cats

YEAH SORRY I lied. I MEANT to repurpose it, temporarily did, and then hated that and put them back in Warrior Fan Clan territory! they will have their moment... eventually. I don't want to leave these characters behind in fanon forever!

Hello, I would like some advice from you. I'm 24 years old and I've never enjoyed drawing for myself I really want to draw a yordle but I'm afraid they'll see me as childish or silly.

What advice would you give me to enjoy my hyperfixations? without feeling that others are going to judge me or they are not going to understand me.

Alright, I'm going to tell you a story:

When I was about 14~15 I went to this art college fair in the big city, really nervous but also excited to get some feedback on my work. I had organized my art with some life studies, even printed out some of my digital art I'd done of my favorite characters.

So I'm there, and the very first recruiter I spoke to, after skimming through my work rolled his eyes up at me and said:

"You're not very creative, are you?"

I was so stunned, I barely caught what he said after that. All I remember was that he said that "doing fan art's a waste" and there was no point in being an artist if you're not making something original and new.

The rest of the folks I talked to there were a lot nicer, but the words of that first guy stuck out in my mind.

So when I got back, I told myself I wouldn't draw unless it was original and 100% creative, not derived from anything at all.

... Which just lead to me having a hard time paying attention in class and fidgeting instead (woo ADHD), and a lot of blank pages taunting me with the absolute block I was having.

One of my best friends noticed how I wasn't doodling as much in class, and when I told him he said something along the lines of,

"If fan art is what you like and it keeps you drawing more, why don't you just... keep doing it? I think that's better than waiting for something else to happen."

So I went back to filling up my notes with doodles of my favorite One Piece characters and silly animal scribbles and--

Uhh- wow, I haven't changed much, have I? :'D

Anyway, the point is -

Drawing is for you to enjoy, first and foremost!

It's a difficult skill that takes time and lots of repetition to learn, and the only way to get through it is to draw what you like.

And you'll see that every artist is self-indulgent. We're all drawing whatever makes us happy (or pays our bills, but I guess that's also a form of happiness).

If you want to draw yordles? Go for it. Are there going to be people that don't understand? Sure, but there's all kinds of art people don't really get out there.

It's a heck of a lot better than fretting over what's the "right" thing to draw.

Hello everyone~ I’m an artist! I like drawing cute and silly stuff and doing some fun animations. And... I mean, and drawing really large boobs, but, y’know...

I also run a fun discord now! I wanna make it a safe, kink-friendly place for people, and it’s been really nice so far~ A lot of my doodles in here will probably be stuff that came from there honestly.

Let’s see... I’m 37, bi/pan, transfemme, uhm... I’m Poly... I’m a lot of things I guess. I’m also a shapeshifter! Who uh... seems to not really have limits to what I can change into, at least none that I’ve found just yet

Which, like, is confusing, right? Like where does the mass come from? Where does it go? How the heck do physics just kinda allow this? Why does it feel so good? >>;;;;

But like... I mean, it’s fun, but it caaaaan sometimes get a lil out of hand... I’m still figuring this out and like uh... I’ve broken a few things, and I kinda don’t like to do that b/c things cost money... and it’s kinda hard for me to work b/c of my weird body stuff, so, uh...

But like it’s okay b/c y’know, internet work, doing art and such, that all feels fun and doable! And I have friends who are wayyy more aware of this kind of thing who’ve set me up with some like rooms and such that keep me from accidentally breaking stuff, like end tables or the ceiling fan, or the house >>; or... uh... y’know......

Anyway uh...

I’ve been posting on Twitter for a little while, and turns out Twitter is an incredibly depressing place, so I thought I’d come back here :) I haven’t been on here since like 2018, and I definitely wasn’t this open about my uh... issues... back then >>;

So hey, clean fresh start! Being open and honest and myself now :D

I had kind of a rough life up until now, but it’s turning around thanks to my being rescued by my SOs. I really, really was rescued, like they saved my life ;-; I wanna make sure that, if I can at all help others who were in similarly traumatic situations, I will. I wanna make the world a better place, however I can.

Anyway! This is an intensely longer post than I wanted to, but it’s my big introduction thing and I kinda get carried away like that I guess. It will not always be this long I promise lkasdjfkllkdasf

My thoughts about the incoming RR movie.

Hey howdy folks! I just write this, cos there are peeps who remember my love for the 90′s cartoon show Rescue Rangers, so they keep sending me videos of the trailers and teasers and they ask me who it doesn’t make me excited XD So I thought about doing this on a journal so you could see.

Y’know, I don't remember this online art sharing bussiness was this complicated, when I started to do it back on the 90's.

In nowadays almost everything in cartoons is "politically incorrect" & people are always there to judge you & set you on fire due a phrase, even if you didn't mean to offend anybody.

Recently I've heard lots of articles that say, that several cartoons are “wrong”. For example; thumbelina is wrong, Rock-a-doodle is wrong, the little mermaid, the powerpuff girls, 90's animaniacs, Antz, Bee movie, Dumbo....The Aristocats is wrong!

It seems like everything you would do in a cartoon to make a fun and interesting plot, every joke in the 90′s was funny and was innocent, now it’s wrong. Everything is wrong!

Everything, except making the characters gay/transexual/lesbian, etc. And further, if you don’t make your characters gay on your project, they people say your cartoon is awful and “politically incorrect”. Which it’s a silly and disrespectful way of thinking, cos, while it’s nice and cool for the LGTBQ+ community to get represented more through characters in visual media. Not EVERY movie and cartoon should include gay characters.

Not sure if you know what I mean? I mean, is not a “must”. If a creator doesn’t think that making their characters gay will add something more the story they are going to tell, then they aren’t obligated to do it, that doesn’t make them bad people. There are a lot of histories that doesn’t include romance even! And it is OK to have stories like that too.

Oh and, another problem in “what it’s correct” on the 21 century! Is the people who think that presenting intelligent, independent and beautiful female characters on cartoon shows or animated movies is “politically incorrect” now! So this is precisely why they took Hellow nurse off the new Animaniacs Reboot, and deleted Miss Bellum from the new version of The powerpuff girls.

.....WHAT THE HECK IS THIS IDEA!?!?! O_O Like...seriously... What crazy and stupid individual came up with it?

Having a strong and beautiful female character in a show or movie is not a bad thing!

Is a good thing!

It’s a WONDERFUL thing!!!

And for the jokes that in the 90′s were funny and now are “politically incorrect” , well... people don't realize cartoons are cartoons.

They are for entertaining. They were not 100% realistic, nor to be taken too seriously.

So what I want to mean with all this, you might think?

Well, my point is this: If they are doing this new Rescue Rangers movie with the standars of what is “politically right” on this century, then the movie promises to be a really boring one! Because most of the jokes from the 90′s original show, nowadays could be easily consider “of bad taste”. So this will take away a lot of the soul and the fun moments 90′s series had. First reason I don’t seek for this movie with enthusiasm.

Also, if they’re going to take off Gadget from the new movie just cos they think (as some people have said ) "she's too beautiful and sexy for a kids movie" like they did with Miss Bellum and Hello nurse, I think this movie is going to be a boring one too.

Cos she was one really great character! A great role model for young girls! I liked her precisely cause of that. Cos she was beautiful, but wasn't presented as a sexual icon. And she was intelligent, but also modest, and she was a strong woman.

Also the other thing in the trailer that makes me think I’m not going to enjoy this movie. It’s that the story plot seems weak. They look like they’re going to present a bung of famous characters to try to save the lame story, that it will be probably like another “who framed Roger rabbit”, and they are going to try too hard to make “fun jokes” by mocking the old animation in old movies/shows. Which in itself it’s very lame and disrespectful, cos there is a lot of work behind those animation works.

Animators dedicated their life to animate those works! As an animator, I feel this very disrespectful (I’d dare to say...even, offensive) cos I know all the hard work, time and effort that it’s put when you make animation.

Many animators devoted their entire life to animate some of the first 3D animation shows like Reboot, Beast wars, Shadow raiders, and a lot of videogames, too.

In any case, these are just my first thoughts about the movie. But ok...I’m still willing to give it a chance. Let’s see if when it comes out, it turns out to be better than I excepted.

I've been doing "doodle meditations" where I free-draw whatever comes to mind. It's something I used to do a lifetime ago when I needed some peace or wanted to let my mind wander in a healthy way. It's part affirmation, part divination, part sigil-making. I go in with a clear mind and positivity and then reflect on what I created during and after the process. It comes really naturally, and usually there's a lot of symmetry and such, but sometimes it's more chaotic (in a good way). It's a really nice way to mellow out for a while and I always feel more relaxed afterwards!

Today I got most of the things I had planned for my altar. A pretty new incense holder (I threw out my old one some whiles ago due to it being filthy and full of bad feelings), the triple cat Goddess scrying orb stand I had my eye on, a little set of dishes for offerings or whatever, and possibly the most exciting of all... a crystal pyramid! It's made of resin, full of selenite crystal fragments and copper metal bits, and I get such a nice vibe from it. I was being silly, but also with a bit of intention, I placed it on my cat. He ended up chilling with me and the pyramid for like 45 minutes and we all felt good about it! So now it's all charged up.

The suspension of disbelief that this sort of thing requires seems to come pretty easy for me, but I catch myself here and there thinkng, "is this too woo-woo?" In the end, whatever I feel like doing is fine, of course. It's giving me good energy and it's really pleasant as a hobby, this eclectic witchcraft. There's another aspect that gives me pause though, and that's the slant towards such feminine energy that witchcraft (at least on tumblr) nods to. Don't get me wrong, I am all about empowering women and respecting the feminine! I was raised and socialized as a woman for 30 years... but I'm agender, and transmasculine. I think I need to remember that, no, you don't have to be a girl to be a witch, and there are soooo many witches of every conceivable gender configuration out there. I guess I just don't want my witchy activities to be perceived as gendered! Which, I think they generally won't be, but eh. It's an irrational worry I'm sure. I guess I'd like some masc/queer witch stuff to come into my media circles is all. I'm sure it'll happen... It sure seems like more and more folks are opening their hearts to this sort of thing these days. But heck part of my brain still operates on the level of "I'm 13 years old and hiding a witchcraft book my friend lent me inside my sketchbook", haha. I need to remember that isn't the case anymore. And also, man, I've been needing to nurture this interest for so long. It's been 20 years since my first dabbling. The crooked path indeed!!

one: seonghwa answer (ode to joy) edit! this is the first thing i made and posted on this account. it was inspired by answer and the kingdom stage and i was trying really hard to get my design brain back after school really burnt me out

two: poster set! this is what i was really really proud of. i made this one day and i felt like i was Back, ya know? it felt really nice to be so proud of something i made again

three: color palette edits! i used to make fun of people who made these back in the day bc silly 15 year old me thought i was Better and Above doing something so simple but i decided to bring them back as a meme and something i enjoyed and you guys really liked them 🥺 and it honestly inspired me to branch out and just do more once i kinda got really back into making things

four: album cover birthday edits! i got this idea randomly for yeosang and while they arent exactly my favorite, i do really like that i *kinda* got the song vibe down. i changed things up for jongho on tho so here are yeosang, san, mingi

five: i taught myself how to make gifs! i'm still learning but im really happy with how things are going and im having a lot of fun. linked is my first gifset that i posted

six: halateez! i made this in like an hour before work one day idk where the inspiration came from but im very happy with how it turned out :)

seven: song graphics! i loveeeee my not too late one and all of the ones i made for fever p3 and beyond but idk what on EARTH possessed me to go past fever p3 and make a graphic for each song in their discography but here we are. you can see all of the ones ive done already here!

eight: spotify gif bday edits! now that i know how to gif i was like how can i do More for these bday edits and so i decided to do this :) i love how you can *kinda* see my improvement as each bday goes on. jongho, hongjoong, wooyoung

nine: cat!hwa doodle set! this is my first set to reach 1k notes and im really proud 🥺 i think the doodles are really cute and i was shocked by the response. you can also see my boo!woo and vamp!yeo doodles here :)

ten: this freaking turbulence edit. i dont know what happened to me this day but how the heck am i going to top this? i have a while before i make the song graphic for it but ???? how ???? i would just count it but the caption doesnt match >:(

eleven: whatever i do with my gifs lmao. i have an inability to just let things Be and so i just started playing with my gifs and adding things to give it ✨concept✨ bc if there's one thing design school did to me, it was drive me to make everything conceptual and now i am broken

twelve: woo content! uwu. literally my last like 5 gifsets are just of him from the various behind things that have been released. i even tried coloring a stage for this man 😭 it's bad folks. brainrot is real
