expanding on this post, kagami taiga as a third year!
during a difficult second year winter cup*, kagami learns that he has to grow into his potential or give up his dream for the nba. because he doesn't know how to quit anything ever, he stayed, and is EXTRA serious about practise and training because he knows it's that or bust.
kagami is TENACIOUS. he has natural instinct and ability to an extent (like his jumping), but he wholeheartedly believes that he had to fight to be as good as he is. especially after three years of winning and losing to the generation of miracles.
he and kuroko are the mom and dad (respectively) of the team, whether kagami is in a relationship with Someone Else :/ or not (aokaga forever ♥)(just kidding, unfortunately)
doesn't really observe age related language formalities, and prefers for lower years to call him by his name.
he's harder on second years than he is on first years because they're more familiar to him, and they've already proved that they're serious enough to be on the team
i really want there to be a hotheaded second/first year who is very good at bball that kagami can take under his wing. maybe they don't live up to his expectations, or maybe their bad attitude never improves, but i do want him to be able to pass on his position as ACE to someone directly
there are usually like 2 weeks at the start of the year when new seirin members are EXTREMELY SCARED of kagami and don't understand what sets him off, what doesn't, and why he cools down so quickly. then they kind of view him as a friendly tiger or something. still dangerous, but very fluffy :)
by the time he's in his last tournament, kagami has the media interest, presence, and skill of a pro player. he's got a pretty big social media following and he's often in basketball monthly too. despite this, he's extremely humble, and presents very well in interviews (thank you so much kise for tutoring him)
he's openly close friends with the rest of the miragen and hangs out with them a lot. he loves hanging out with these guys a little more than with the other members of his team because....like.... these guys get it.... and he can go all out against them
kagami is still a hothead, but he's known for having a huge heart and he will always help out someone else on the team if they need it. (he has no time for weak players, but outside of basketball, if a team member wants his help, all they need do is ask)

-Okay so, I may not LIKE exactly how they went about it. But I cant really hate them for what they did. They are just kids that want to pick someone they trust.
-Oh s***, Ladybug never cast miraculous cure. So Adrien has some perminant trauma from the fight with Nightormentor. He still sees the antichat visions (its not chat blanc, and its just reverse color pallet)
-Chat noir left. before he could tell her. Cause the nightmare messed with him
-WAIT DID TOMOE AND GABRIEL JUST LOCK THEIR CHILDREN IN STERILE ROOMS? WTF!

Okay! This episode was A LOT.
Well there is no denying Sentimonster theory. Its confirmed. Its done. 100% GUARANTEE NO MONEY BACK.
It did explain a LOT about Felix and Adrien.
So I am still iffy on how it was handled.
Now this DOES NOT justify Felix's Actions. He was still an a**hole. And Kagami shouldnt have told Felix. Marinette is Ladybug. That was NOT her secret to tell.
BUT the play that explained what happened was very well done. It explained a LOT about the Graham de Vanily family and Felix's a**hole father.
I will say that I hated how tortured Marinette was during this. Felix and Kagami could have done something less cruel to lure her there.
I also greatly enjoyed Chat noir vs Nightormentor. very good catharsis and we have Adrien going through some additional mental trauma, inflicted by his father (I wouldnt call it Ironic, more of EXPECTED)
I give it 7.5/10
I will say its the most I have enjoyed the second half of this season since Emotion.

Miraculous Finale Review: Part 2 (Recreation)
Welcome back y'all, I hope you had a nice break from Conformation, because we are continuing our ride to the abyss.
You think S3 ending was bad? You think Simpleman was bad? You think Ephemeral was bad? You think Penalteam was bad? You think Evolution was bad? You think Destruction was bad? You think DERISION was bad? Well, say hello to Recreation, where you'll be taken for a long ride to the tunnel of The Writers Gonna Prove You're Wrong By Showing You How Much Worse They Could Go.
Yeah, idk why i put that gif there, but i really like it when i found it.
Anyway, may the great lord have mercy on the poor souls watching this episode. Because this? This is just a huge, massive, gigantic, gargantuan, cosmic, heaven through hell level of no. In every single way possible. This is a disgrace on every writers out there. Everything is so wrong that I don't even know where to start.
I'll just go with something small and talk about the fight between Bugnoire (ugh) and Monarch. Remember when Hawkmoth beat the crap out of both heroes with just the butterfly miraculous, a miraculous that's not designed for a direct fight? Now he has one that can one hit K.O, one that can transport him anywhere, two that grants defense, one that can transform him into any element, one that can paralyze the opponent by showing them their deepest desire, one that can grant any superpower (stupid power), one that can disrupt his opponents power, one that can shrink and multiply himself where each of his replica can use the One Hit K.O power, and one that literally can turn back time (sure he can't use it anymore since it eats away his life, but desperate time takes desperate measures).
There's countless combination where he can win with literally no effort. How the hell did he lose, if not because of divine level plot armor?
And the way Ladybug (I aint calling her Bugnoire. But I'll admit i like the costume) so easily took the rings? Something that should've happened in Intuition? So not only did they kick Adrien out from the finale, they also had to insult his intelligence by showing how easy it was for Mari to do it. Hooray for Girl Power That Exist By Degrading Male Characters Into Moronic Dumbass Creatures.
Also, Ladybug now can summon a Lucky Charm to her liking? I mean, a piano, a baseball bat, and handcuffs? And she can do it infinitely now. So what's the point of the goat miraculous then?
"But the cat and tiger have similar power."
The cat caused bad things to happen to whatever they touch, and those bad things tend to be destructive. The tiger only cause destruction by punching it real hard Sure, Ladybug has more utility whereas goat has more flexibility in terms of power, but I'm adding it here because it's just total BS.
And we were robbed of LB and CN vs Monarch, but I already rant about it in part one, so I'll save room for other points.
Quick reminder on previous post, remember the whole quantum essence thingy that makes those walking Q-Tips able to track Ladybug because they're inserted with the essence of both the Ladybug and Black Cat power? Now Bugnoire has both, why aren't they going after her?
On to the next one, how is Lila isn't affected by the nightmare? And no, I'm not buying the "She actually got it, but it's off-screen" excuse. She already used it on her sudden friendship with Kagami, and if you think that excuse can be used again, in the finale, you're dead wrong.
Then things got worse with the end credit scene where Lila (she called herself Iris, but i refuse to call her that) just rolled in to a new school just by asking Damocles to let her in. Hello? Administration? I get it if she's the mayor's kid or something, but she's nobody. Classic miraculous, you never fail to disappoint me with your lack of logic.
Speaking of lack of logic, we got Mirakungfu (?) Luka and co. Just when i thought the show couldn't get any worse with their lack of explanation (sarcasm), they introduced this.
Where or when or why or how any of this was written in without prior hint or scene or anything that isn't going to get explained from a tweet where That Guy gonna block anyone who as slightly as disagreeing with him, i have absolutely no idea, and I'm used to it. I mean, sure, why not? Drop all the plot convenience, plot armor, retcon, and Deus Ex Machina in the finale. Heck, I'm suprised that Goku and Naruto didn't appear to find the One Piece under the Eiffel Tower and they become the World's Greatest Chef to finally defeat the Founding Titan who controls an army of Shinigami.
Dear Neptune, who the hell wrote this scene?
Makes sense.
And I honestly don't know how it could get any worse, but at the same time we know it will get worse.
And Su-Han, you said you left to get some help from the temple in Multiplication, where is that help? Don't tell me the help is Luka and co who just learned how to kick asses off screen a few weeks ago? Good grief.
Still talking about the Mirakung-fuck-the-logic, we got Bunnyx. Yeaaaay. Oh wait, it's the adult version. The younger one still exiled.
What did she said? She can't meddle with the present, but Luka and co can? Yeah, that's right, and she proceeds to transport them to Paris, which literally her meddling with the present.
"Well she's not actually doing something there, so technically she's not wrong."
Technicality, technicality. Well technically I'm gonna whoop yo arse with a baseball bat if i met you, writers. Be ready.
Moving on to Gabriel's wish. He won, hooray or oh nooo, I couldn't care about it anymore. Anyway, we're shown how to make the wish, by calling the true form of Tikki and Plagg and call upon Gimmi.
First off, it's a waste of time showing their true form if in the end you're just gonna call someone else. It's like having the reception to dress like a queen just to ask them where the manager is. But you all know why this happen, since they need more dolls to sell.
Second, if all he needs to do is to call their true form, then why on heaven through hell didn't he just do that in Deflagration? He doesn't need to unify them, he just need to call. His victory was literally at hand and he can win, but OF COURSE they gotta drag things even further because they forbid logic to even exist in this stupid show! This is the entire conflict of the show, his main goal, and something he already knows how to do it, so tell me why on earth did—y'know what? Fuck it. I never see anyone complain about this plot hole, so certainly its not even relevant.
And now, the time has come, to talk about the reasons why this finale is not only bad, it's straight up something that will go down in cinema history as the worst thing that could ever exist. So take a deep breath, cause we're near the end.
The pure, unfiltered, audacity they had to not letting Adrien learn the truth of either his father and Chat Blanc. The two most important things of his character, all gone wasted. All because they forbid this boy to show actual emotion and becomes an interesting character that exist outside of being a simp and a trophy wife.
"But he know about Chat Blanc from his nightmare."
Mate, that's his nightmare. Nightmare is terrifying, but it's not real. We know that's something that happened, but he doesn't. That's just a horrible nightmare that he constantly has because of the akuma. He never know that it's actually real, and will never know.
Plus, that's Anticat, not Chat Blanc. Different name, different identity, different everything, but the same BS.
And then another pure, unfiltered, audacity of Gabe telling Marinette to not tell Adrien about the villain he is but instead the time he tried to be a good father? This is the funniest joke I've ever heard in the show.
What exactly did you try to do to be a good father? Making pancakes that even flies said "I ain't eating that shit"?
You literally imprisoned your son, never spent time with him until you know you're dying, cut him off from society, make him as your forced labor for your brand against his will and violates the rights of children, not letting him love the girl he wants, forcing him to get together with his ex, fly him off to the other side of the world away from his friends, akumatized people that you know is after him, gave your son nightmare to get your ultimate plan to work, using parental authority to abuse him mentally, and you were trying to turn him into a villain!
Audacity.
And then there's another pure, unfiltered, audacity of making Marinette (deep sigh) forgave Gabriel.
"But she didn't actually forgave him."
She showed him kindness. She offered him another chance in his last moment. After everything he did. After all the people he hurt. After he literally responsible for her losing her life as a teenager.
He turned your whole family into villains, the whole world into mindless puppets, turned a pregnant lady into a villain, and have you forgotten that he turned your partner into a literal world destroyer that gave you PTSD? Sure, Chloe made you suffer and you won't forgive her, but him? Who did the same, if not universally worse? You could show him kindness?
"But it's because she's worried about Adrien—"
Adrien. Adrien. ADRIEN! THE PERFECT BOY THE PERFECT SON THE PERFECT THIS AND THAT AND AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH I HATE THAT GUY! HE IS ONLY PERFECTLY WASTED AND USELESS! SNAP HIM OUT OF EXISTENCE RIGHT NOW! HIS EXISTENCE RUINED EVERYTHING!
I would love to end things right there and then because I'm sick of it. But no, the king of the worst thing to ever exist in history have yet to be talked about. This is the realest and most absolute fucked up thing in history of kids show.
Gabe becomes a hero
I know we shouldn't ask what they were thinking, but just why? What did he do to deserve a statue and the title of a hero? He's a fashion designer in public eyes, and that's about it. But that's not what's fucked up about it.
How could you even think that a girl who was mentally abused by her mother, never raised properly by her father, had to ask her mother why she doesn't love her, never known love, was disowned by her father for his own incompetence of raising her, and left with her abusive mother to be raised with most likely another series of abuse, as someone who is irredeemable?
And how could you even think that a terrorist, who's so fully aware and willingly imprisoned his son, cut him off from social life, prevents him from loving someone he choose, literally turned him into his slave to work for his business, and who would straight up beat him up once he learn he's a superhero, as a sympathetic villain?
"But people in the show doesn't know that."
Yes. That's true. But we know. We've seen what he had done. We've seen how rotten he is. We've seen how slowly crumbling into dust is a fate he deserves and we enjoy every second of it. And yet, after every vile things he had done, until the very end, Thomas and co still putting him under the "sympathetic villain" spotlight.
I know many of you who read this will try to defend Thomas and the writing. Trying to reason and excuse what he did here. But I'm sorry, I will not accept it. Even if he apologize, i will not accept it. Because this is beyond messed up. This is basically him spitting on the face of people who have been abused. This is him saying abuser deserves to be glorified.
Tell me folks: what logical reason do you have that you see a child abuser as someone who deserves to be seen as a hero?
This is no longer a matter of whether someone is an asshole or not. This is concerning on terrifying level.
I'm here to say this once, to all of you who still support the show: I'm concerned and sorry for you. The show that you loved, the show that brought you joy, the show that you may have recommended to other people and praise it, it was created by a monster.
Im not even gonna bother scoring it. This is not something that kids should watch. The message is too horrible to be let slide. It doesn't matter how good the animation and action is, they've spat on victims of abuse, and they're happy with it.
That being said, this has been my review. You can agree or disagree, just keep it civil with someone else who have an opinion. I know i might missed a lot of points, and I'm genuinely sorry if in the last part of this post i might be a bit too offensive even for salt post standard. But now, I'd like to hear your opinion. Was i exaggerating stuff or i made a wrong statement. Was i wrong for calling That Guy like that? Let me know, cuz you might help me see things in a different light.

How anyone can STILL take this show seriously is beyond me when they gave the character arc Adrien needed to go through to Felix.
To be clear I'm not talking about the domestic terrorist stuff I'm talking about the "Sentimonsters should be treated with respect and not like objects for people to discard and use as they please" thing.
But the show is so allergic to making Adrien anything more than a "Ken" that they'd rather give Adriens arc to a character that is literally just an early version of himself. That is so crazy to me like... how can anyone take this show seriously when they go and do shit like this?
[Im deadass... the moment I saw Felix appear I fucking KNEW Adrien was never going to get a satisfying arc - because it was all going to go to Felix - so that they could maintain Adriens status as a damsel Marinette needs to save.]
ML has always gone out of its way to take the most boring route possible. And people STILL defend this shit with "IT'S A SLOWBURN"... the copium is unreal.
if this show actually cared about showcasing a decent slowburn romance than they wouldn't have shat the bed with Kagami and Luka. They do not understand what purpose romantic rivals serve to a story, because if they did then Luka would be opposed to CHAT NOIR by pursuing Ladybug instead of being opposed to Adriend and pursuing Marinette. Luka would need to be a rival hero to Chat Noir in a way where Ladybug would rather have Luka around then him. And in turn, this would prompt Adrien to evolve as a character and push him along his character arc.
But again, this show does not see Adrien as a deuteragonist, so he aint gonna get SHIT lol.

Never forget
That SP after 15 years of working on Naruto completely forgot how the Sharingan worked.
Sarada already had 2 tomoe, the point being made here is that her Sharingan didnt evolve even after watching someone she considers like a brother just jump to his death, someone she feels a great love for [romantic platonic or whatever, love is love] just died right before her eyes and her Sharingan, the eyes that reflect the heart, DOESNT evolve from it neither becoming 3T nor MS as it should.
People have argued its because she didnt give in to the curse of hatred and rejected it thats why but that bs falls falt because 1 thats not how the Sharingan WORKS and 2 Kagami, Shisui, and Itachi ALSO did NOT succumb to the curse of hatred and their Sharingans STILL evolved when under distress be it from watching a loved one die, wanting to protect a loved one, anything that puts them under great emotional stress TRIGGERS their Sharingan to evolve ESPECIALLY when watching a loved one die.
Sarada said she hated Ikada and also told him that she was so sad it felt like her heart was being crushed, and yet ZERO reaction from her Sharingan.
I aint lettin this go forgotten because SP made it officially canon that Boruto is not important enough to Sarada to make her Sharingan evolve like so many ykw stans claimed it would, like ppl were really sayin Sarada would get MS from Boruto more so than her own parents lol
Blame SP not me but never forget, it is now officially canon that Boruto and Sarada’s bond is NOT that deep like many claimed it to be, their bond is so weak that watching him die doesnt even cause a simple 3T.
Even putting personal bias aside and being strictly objective that is surprising and ridiculous even to me, not that I wanted her to get 3T or MS from this god awful arc but I still want the characters powers to function as they’ve always been established to work. Like what is the point of having Sarada watch Boruto die and then go on a whole speech about how important Boruto is to her if her Sharingan wasnt gonna reflect that? its crazy, they might as well left the whole fake out death part out if they werent gonna be consistent.
Shipping aside this is just a fundamental function of the Sharingan, doesnt matter if you think shes inlove with Boruto or just a dear friend, literally EITHER would cause the Sharingan to react as long as she felt ANY kind of deep love for him which it did not.
So never forget, it is 100% canon that Boruto and Sarada are not that close and her Sharingan 100% will not evolve over him, not even if he dies, SP officially debunked that theory. Blame SP and Kodachi for that not me because remember, Kodachi is the one who said EVERYTHING in the anime is canon so 🤷♀️ whether Im being objective or biased that is an indisputable fact he set.

as a trans guy i like to challenge gender with my ocs
She hasn’t allowed herself to explore her gender or sexuality because of her conservative family and their high expectations for her. She doesn’t want to disrupt their plans with her own thoughts and ambitions
She’s afab and presents fem but that doesn’t stop her from identifying as a man as well as a woman. You will dying by her blade if you disrespect her dslkfhlskj
She can shapeshift, which lets her explore her body and identity through others. She’s young, and she doesn’t really understand all of that stuff so she hasn’t come to any conclusions (it would be a lot easier for her if she could shapeshift into anything)
As a man who adores the theatre as an art, he has performed himself. He’s been in many plays and was an Onnagata before being transformed into a demon. He is comfortable dressed as a woman but he doesn’t identify as one

Gale Reviews: ML Season 5: Action
-As expected its gonna be a bit preachy.
(Spoilers below)
-Okay adrien riding the scooter with Marinette is cute... but good gravy my boy doing everything to avoid allegations.
-Adrien teaching Marinette mandarin is cute... until you remember his pronunciation is s***
-Nino is very serious with this
-(So glad this is in english on youtube and I can playback at a faster speed.)
-I knew this going in but good gravy it is soooooooo preachy. It reminds me of Captain planet
-Ah yes, Adrien and Kagami as NFTs selling products... I really hate Gabriel
-So the ship sunk? I guess plastic > Liberty
-Mylene fainting at all the mention of plastic is funny (and currently the only thing I find amusing about this episode)
-Of course he is in the ominous black building. Also all of this could have been solved with a google search
-Nino, I love your goofy plans but your disguises are as trash as the plastic you are trying to fight for some reason
-This episode feels like it was written by Mylene
-So at least the show is consistent on how dumb adults are written in this
-You know what, I know the plastic guy is gonna be the bad guy, but he actually took a meeting to hear out a bunch of kids. He even acknowledges their points but explains why he aint changing his business model. Say what you will but I gotta respect the straightforwardness.
-I cant really hate the guy right now, like he reminds me of the KFC guy if he had a fetish for plastic.
-No surprise that the mayor was of no help, surprised that Chloé didnt need to tell him with how they tried to make him seem good.
-Gabriel is dismissive, why was he redeemed again?
-So Nadia giving the first legit explanation on why she cant help. Glad they actually show one true to life response
-Oh look cameos
-Oh they hacked the broadcast, at least Nadia wont get in trouble... but I am pretty sure thats SUPER ILLEGAL
-Yep more preaching... plastic bad. at least it had some adrinette flirting in there
-Yea if this actually worked IRL, the environmentalist protestors wouldnt be a thing. But it is accurate in one way, Politicians and CEO's hate Bad publicity

I watched this episode at 1.5x speed because if I didnt, this would have been a SLOG to get through

Its not the worst ML episode but I just HATE preachy episodes. If I wanted this kind of content, Id watch captain planet. Like yes it is important to recycle and reduce use of plastics... but this episode made me want to actually go downstairs and get a plastic water bottle for a drink just because of how annoyed I was.
The action in this wasnt bad and I actually found the King of Plastic funny until they redeemed him.
I think I rate it lower than it actually is because of personal preferences but it is just annoying

murasakibara was used as a plot device and it will forever anger me like the whole match was so ?? Like literally all odds were against them. the difference in skill is so evident. kagami “i don’t rely on anything” relies on the zone, which happened to last for over 3 minutes and then was able to re-enter it again. them giving murasakibara the zone for the last .4 seconds of the game and it not being able to do anything for him and the concept of endurance?? only affecting him at the very end even though kagami jumped so many times and it didn’t affect him in the slightest.
like i GET the main character benefit and i know for the sake of the plot, kuroko couldn’t lose but at least make the win more ?? realistic. murasakibara broke . the national hoop . he had the most natural skill and the difference was incredible and he’s the center, but him being better at offense and is known to make at least 100 points by himself like . why give him all this hype and throw these facts . and then have him lose?

Himuro: feels inferior towards his naturally more talented friends and is bitter about it
Kise: no matter how hard he tries, he still can’t win
Akashi: strict (abusive???) parent, fears of abandonment, the term I would use is “mentally fucked”
Ogiwara: after his passion was crushed, he gave up on it and quit

Marinette The Perfect Daughter In Law: A Prompt
[ I've seen a few ‘everyone loves Marinette AU’s’ and a couple Marvel DC ‘all the mentors want THEIR kid to end up with Marinette AU’s’ and well frankly! I felt inspired! So I present to you my new prompt / AU thing! In which all the most powerful / rich / popular people in Paris decide to play matchmaker… ]
It starts when Adrien and Kagami have a less than AMICABLE break up according to their parents and the media anyway in reality it was a really REALLY dull break up. The pair have been ‘dating’ (using each other as an excuse to go out and experience normal teenage stuff) since they were 15. Now at 17 soon to be 18 the pair decided to publicly break up in order to pursue other people and interests. The problem is they never told their parents the truth so both Gabriel and Kagami’s mother Tomeo feel protective and concerned about what must surely be an upsetting first heartbreak for their child. And okay maybe both parents take that out on each other and both get a bit defensive and protective. And MAYBE it ends with Tomeo vowing to get revenge for her daughter. Enter, Marinette. Up and coming fashion designer for the rich and famous! She’s single, talented, and as far as Tomeo knows Gabriel is interested in the girl for her talent. So what better revenge could exist but having Marinette take an interest in Kagami!
Kagami has no idea why her mother suddenly has an interest in Marinette but she wont complain about having more time with her very cute designer friend. And all the outfits Tomeo is paying Marinette to make for Kagami is giving the young fencer plenty of up-close and personal moments with Marinette. And okay Marinette is VERY cute and Kagami wont question why she suddenly has all this tine with Marinette, eating ice cream with the girl and having brunch. But she knows shes absolutely head over heels when Marinette shows up at her fencing tournament gives her a luck charm and cheers her on wearing HER colors. Obviously Kagami wiped the floor with all the competition she cant be seen hesitating in front of Marinette!
On Tomeo’s side of things she makes sure that the paparazzi still lurking around after Kagami and Adrien’s breakup catch photos of what could easily be interpreted as dates between the girls. After all this is a revenge ploy but also Marinette is fantastic so Tomeo is 300% down with Kagami ‘bringing her into the family’ something she tells Kagami after the first paparazzi ‘date photos’ leak into the news. Kagami still has no idea this was an orchestrated affair and just thinks her mothers caught on to her feelings and is overjoyed that Marinette is approved of because after the cheek kiss Marinette gave her for winning the fencing tournament Kagami was preparing to fight her mother for the right to pursue the young designer seriously. After all she never hesitates!
But Tomeo never realized Gabriel isnt the only one interested in Marinette. Audrey Bourgeouis has been keeping an eye on Marinette trying to find a way to get Marinette on to her side and away from Gabriel. So when she sees the photos of Kagami and Marinette she sees an opportunity. After all if Marinette isnt exclusively into men (and those photos of her flushed cheeks as Kagami cleans ice cream off her bottom lip are a clear indication shes not) then Audrey smells opportunity. After all Marinette was Chloe’s first crush! How cute would that be! The next day Marinette is being offered yet another opportunity to intern under Audrey this time with much looser restrictions. When Marinette accepts she suddenly finds herself working with Chloe… A LOT. The pair are modeling together, often paired together for shoots in perfect complementary clothes that screams ‘opposites attract’. Chloe is also helping manage Marinette’s brand and the two start to get along very well. The model photos and their business lunches are soon plastered alongside the Kagami and Marinette outings with parisian gossip blogs finding their interest picked by this potential love triangle.
Chloe for one, was confused at first. Sure she knew her mom was interested in Marinette but she never thought SHE would be working so closely with her first crush. And Chloe tries to ignore it, after all those are dead feelings! And Marinette woud never forgive her anyway so why even- Wait. Is that Marinette in a downright gorgeous golden dress? A-and she will be posing right next to Chloe for their shared shoot? Well… Chloe always thought herself deserving of royalty and damn if Marinette aint the princess of her dreams. Sorry Adriken’s you had your chance to get the girl, but now its winner keeps all and Marinette is the only prize shes interested in. For the record Alya is freaked out by Chloe being nice, but shes more weirded out by Chloe being protective and handsy and downright shamelessly flirty with Marinette. Audrey is pleased when she hears the news and is quick to give her daughter encouragement acting as if none of this was premeditated at ALL.
Oh but they have no idea that this is just the beginning. Because guess who's moved back into town. Adrien’s favorite cousin and aunty. And Felix’s mom is quite the busybody and dammit Felix needs friends! And maybe a cute girlfriend! And oh whos that pretty girl on the magazine cover? Marinette? The one her celebrity connections have nothing but praise for? Perfect! Shes invited to lunch with Felix and herself on friday to discuss movie costumes! And oh Audrey dear dont you think Marinette would look fabulous sandwiched between TWO blondes! Felix hasnt modeled in a while but come now. So suddenly Marinette is being spotted with Felix guiding him about paris and modeling with him AND Chloe under AUDREY’s brand NOT Gabriels.
Felix thought hed really hate Marinette; he tried to ignore her he really did. But shes funny, witty and sweet. Not to mention trustworthy, so a good candidate for a business partner. And thats it, but then he has to admit hes impressed when he rolls up to a photoshoot and Chloe! The definition of brat personified is acting… Bearable. Yes, somehow Marinette has done the impossible! She has tamed the beast known as Chloe. And yes fine he will admit shes drop dead gorgeous and how intelligent of her to learn all sides of the fashion industry and boost her rep with modelling! Soon hes spending more time with her, he tries to argue he needs a guide, that shes the most bearable person to be with! That she is just a friend- Oh god. No it cant be! He sounds like-! Like ADRIEN! And Chloe already told him about THAT mess! No! Absolutely not! He will not lead on Marinette like his idiot cousin! Marinette is a rare and beautiful woman! She could be his queen! And god he has to admit it much as he loathes too Marinette’s smile is enough to make him thank every non-existent god. He will win her heart, show her that she deserves better than his brain dead cousin! Felix is sure mother will approve of his decision to pursue the girl, now he just needs to do more shoots with Marinette...
And that's what finally gets Gabriel to snap. Because REALLY Felix!? Is there no loyalty to FAMILY. Not to mention he was totally drafting a potential contract for Marinette when Audrey snapped her up the witch! But its fine! Marinette has always been interested in Adrien! Surely she still is? Surely she's not been swayed by any of her new suitors! Right? Gabriel knows he can't mess with Audrey’s contract so he goes through Adrien, freeing up his sons schedule and telling him to spend time with Marinette to help her ‘adapt’ to the harsh world of fashion and modeling. He uses Adrien’s heroic nature to make it sound like hed be saving her from Chloe and Felix. And sure enough Adrien bites, using his friendship with Chloe to worm into fittings, meetings, and photo shoots. At first hes just there to make sure Chloe and Felix arent hurting sweet Marinette. But when he sees the blondes fighting for her attention, flirting with her, posing with her in some rather romantic settings. Suddenly hes less worried and more… Jealous? No! Not him! Hes concerned, confused, suspicious! Obviously he needs to spend more time with Mari- Wait! When did Kagami get here to take Marinette to lunch! And why are they all ignoring him!!!
Now Marinette is fully in the public's eye. Gossip blogs are being fed bits of info writing up each ‘candidates’ appeal as THE romantic partner to the Marinette Dupain-Cheng paris new darling, the girl with a heart of gold too oblivious to see the trail of hearts following her around! But there is still another contender yet to enter the game! Jaggeds been away on tour teaching Luka his up and coming protege all the tricks. And lets not lie Luka has his own fans now, enough to rival all the others. Jagged sees Luka as his own son, even calling him as much! Hell hes even adopted Luka and Juleka and when I say adopted I mean Jagged literally got shared custody of the kids when their real dad tried to start trouble once Luka started gaining fame. Luka and Juleka for one love their adopted father and his wonderful fiance Penny. But back to Jagged, being Jagged.
The moment Jagged is back in Paris he's checking up on his favorite designer and hopefully future daughter in law! When… WHAT'S THIS?! All the other ritchies in Paris are playing his game! Trying to get Marinette married into THEIR families! Not rock and roll at all! He was here first! And so being Jagged he decides to make Luka’s stake in the race for Marinette’s heart clear! By spamming social media with photos of Marinette being cute with Luka, taking his measurements, going out with him, the pair babying Fang, the two passed out against each other after a long concert. And he has photos going back at least a year or two! Soon Luka’s fans pick up the hype starting a trending hashtag finding the pair cute! Jagged feels confident that hes won! When Audrey retaliates, and from there its a complete train wreck. Before long each pair has a hashtag filled with cute moments and arguing over whos dating the model / fashion designer!
Meanwhile Adrien is drowning in denial as he goes through each hashtag seething about how many MORE photos everyone else has with Marinette, when HE is her very good friend and was here first! Felix, Chloe and Kagami on the other hand have declared open war after they tried to talk to each other about the hashtags reasonably only for it to devolve into “so you agree Marinette is best with me!” - “WHAT! No! Thats not what I said! Besides she clearly is best with me!” - “Ridiculous!” And so on. Poor Luka is having an entirely different reaction hiding in shame unsure how to face Marinette because he WAS going to ask her on a proper date now that she seems over Adrien, because even with everything she's the melody playing in his heart and he had a plan! But now his mom and sister are texting him and teasing him and apparently he has MORE competition! Who do these people think they are to deserve Marinette! No! Luka won't lose Jagged has been teaching him to be bold and confident! And Marinette is worth all of his efforts! Jagged REGRETS NOTHING even if Penny confiscated the tv remote!
Marinette meanwhile has no idea what's going on because the whole class made a dumb bet on when the designer would notice with one of the bet conditions being that no one could tip Marinette off and that they have to keep her away from Paparazzi so they dont spoil it either. And sense Alya is helping manage Marinette’s social media Marinette hasn't looked at it yet so she has NO idea what's happening. But her birthday is coming up next week and Chloe definitely didn't get dibs on planning a surprise party for her all so she could spoil the girl and RUB her GREAT relationship with Marinette into her competitions FACES! The competition however (and Adrien JustAfriend Agreste) have decided that they really aren't going down without a fight!
