Most folks have a very limited vision for what they would do if they got a time machine. There’s a lot of cliched answers: kill Hitler. Make a bunch of money on the stock market. Prevent a horrible disaster. Tell my mom to stop antagonizing the beehive that formed under the deck, before they get organized and carry her away into the sky, in a roaring swarm one sleepy September morning. You know, the usual things.

Not me: I’d use a time machine to go back and get jobs at all the important companies. Then I’d photocopy their schematics. You see, if you’re a big company, you make stuff all the time without worrying about whether someone in the future will ever be able to repair it. Certainly, you are not possessed of the ability to predict that folks decades from now will be curious about the inner workings of your product so that they can make it stop being on fire. I would do something about this: namely, steal from work, and then hide the products of those thefts in a safe-deposit box, ready to retrieve them in 2023 when I need that info to fix the broken thing.

Of course, there’s a lot of risks to messing with the time stream like this. As every science-fiction movie teaches us, any change in the past could have unpredictable ramifications in our present. And it’s not just something like “the office ran out of toner early this week, causing the rush-photocopier-toner-delivery truck to crash into a stroller containing the baby who would later grow up to be the president,” although that could probably happen too now that you’re bringing it up.

No, the more likely issue is office politics, and the Protestant work ethic. If someone sufficiently guilt-ridden were to join up with, say, the Isuzu Impulse development team, they would feel bad that they aren’t contributing at the same level as the other engineers. Then they would start to fuck with it, or say crazy shit in meetings, just to feel like they were involved in the project. When they return to their own time, the Isuzu Impulse would be totally different, maybe not nearly as loveable, rendering the entire pursuit into a horrible tragedy.

This theory may actually explain why so many of your coworkers stink on ice – try interrogating some of them about how things turn out in the future, just to be sure. And while you’re at it, start stealing more shit from work and sequestering it away. You never know, someone somewhere may need to figure out what stupid mistakes you’re making right now in order to fix them decades from now. Don’t make them angry enough to go back in time and try to have you killed.

When my girlfriend moved out of state a few weeks ago she gave me the beat-up old garage whiteboard she used to track our Isuzu rebuild progress and to-do lists. I've been trying to get rid of the ghost marks so when I hang it in my own living room I'll have a mostly-clean surface to start writing on but as anyone can tell you, whiteboard ghost marks are stubborn as hell.

After spraying and scrubbing for like 10 minutes to no avail, I remembered the "miracle" cleaning technique we used back in my librarian days: fresh ink.

INTRODUCTION

"Kamen Rider Geats" is the 33rd series in Toei Company's Kamen Rider franchise. In this series, the Kamen Rider must compete against each other in a virtual reality-based survival game called the "Desire Grand Prix", also known as DGP, in protecting the city from a mysterious enemy called Jyamato. Every partiticpant is bound to compete in the game until they die or are eliminated, and the winners are rewarded with the right to bring their ideal world to life.

The games are overseen by an organisation which shares the same name as the game. Participants are guided through the games by DGP staff called Navigators, and managers of the games are known as Game Masters.

THE STORY UP TO THIS POINT

As of Episode 39, "Kamen Rider Geats" is heading into the final arc called the "Creation Arc". In this arc, the world has been remade and humanity has been given a clean slate according to the wishes of Ukiyo Ace, who is Kamen Rider Geats and the main character of the series. By his side is DGP Navigator Tsumuri.

In order to do this, Ace defeated Suel, the Executive Producer of the DGP. Suel was also the one responsible for turning Mitsume, Ace's mother and a former Navigator of the DGP, into the Goddess of Creation, exploiting her powers to create the world anew every time a winner was appointed in the DGP games. With the death of Mitsume in this arc, the existence of the Goddess of Creation also came to an end, and Ace inherited her power to remake the world.

However, even in Ace's new world, trouble still brews. For one, the monsters called Jyamato still exist, and they have now gained a new ability to possess human beings and control them.

While everyone else's memories of the events of the battle between Ace and Suel have been erased, Ace decided to restore the memories of the Riders. Said Riders are given the choice of whether they would like to participate in a new game, which involves defeating the remnants of the Jyamato and creating a world where everyone can be happy. Additionally, it is also revealed that Isuzu Daichi, one of the Riders who had competed in the DGP, is behind the breeding of this new type of Jyamato.

Amidst all this, Jitto, a new Game Master, appears, receiving instructions from the supposedly defeated Suel.

Shinnosuke's and Drive Cast's reaction?

Judging from next week's episode making Daichi look like he's going to pull an Akaishi on top of being an actual terrorist, I don't think anyone's going to feel the need to punish Keiwa for taking him out permanently.

As for Tsumuri, it remains to be seen if she was taken against her will or not. I can't really tell either way, though I doubt she'd press charges even if she was. I think she would be vehemently opposed to Keiwa punishing himself (and likely isolating himself even more) when she's seen the despair he was in.

Shinnosuke I feel would be torn between his duty as a cop and as a Kamen Rider. As a cop he'd be obligated to bring Keiwa to justice, i.e. arrest him and have him prosecuted. As a Rider though, he would wonder if that was the right thing to do, and if punishment is what Keiwa wants when what he needs is help. Which he as a cop can't give.

On the other end of the Yukari spectrum we have something dark and dissonant. This producer's illustration and video is getting better with every upload, love to see it.

Kashuu Ryousuke - Retro Kissa (ft. Yuzuki Yukari)

While I'm still on my Yukari streak... dry alt rock with a dizzying irregular meter. Watching the PV while listening feels like taking shelter from the sweltering summer heat (music) into a cafe that is only slightly less hot but still a welcome reprive (PV). This producer is really living up to the "Natsu no Owari" name.

INTRODUCTION

"Kamen Rider Geats" is the 33rd series in Toei Company's Kamen Rider franchise. In this series, the Kamen Rider must compete against each other in a virtual reality-based survival game called the "Desire Grand Prix", also known as DGP, in protecting the city from a mysterious enemy called Jyamato. Every partiticpant is bound to compete in the game until they die or are eliminated, and the winners are rewarded with the right to bring their ideal world to life.

The games are overseen by an organisation which shares the same name as the game. Participants are guided through the games by DGP staff called Navigators, and managers of the games are known as Game Masters.

THE STORY UP TO THE START OF THE "CREATION ARC"

As of Episode 39, "Kamen Rider Geats" has entered the final arc called the "Creation Arc". In this arc, the world has been remade and humanity has been given a clean slate according to the wishes of Ukiyo Ace, who is Kamen Rider Geats and the main character of the series. By his side is DGP Navigator Tsumuri.

In order to do this, Ace defeated Suel, the Executive Producer of the DGP. Suel was also the one responsible for turning Mitsume, Ace's mother and a former Navigator of the DGP, into the Goddess of Creation, exploiting her powers to create the world anew every time a winner was appointed in the DGP games. With the death of Mitsume in this arc, the existence of the Goddess of Creation also came to an end, and Ace inherited her power to remake the world.

However, even in Ace's new world, trouble still brews. For one, the monsters called Jyamato still exist, and they have now gained a new ability to possess human beings and control them.

While everyone else's memories of the events of the battle between Ace and Suel have been erased, Ace decided to restore the memories of the Riders. Said Riders are given the choice of whether they would like to participate in a new game, which involves defeating the remnants of the Jyamato and creating a world where everyone can be happy. Additionally, it is also revealed that Isuzu Daichi, one of the Riders who had competed in the DGP, is behind the breeding of this new type of Jyamato.

Amidst all this, Jitto, a new Game Master, appears, receiving instructions from the supposedly defeated Suel.
