Sorry I was just living when this question jumped into my mind
Why doesn't the Isle of Dawn have Daily Quests?
It's always been like that, mostly because it used to be far more empty.
It's likely currently to make sure new players(moths) don't get confused as Isle of Dawn is a tutorial realm as well.
Also, there's still only so much in Isle to do, compared to the other realms it's still fairly empty- leaving an isolated feeling even if you've done everything sky has offered 100%.
It's one of the two realms to not have dailies leading also to a theme of: the start and end not having dailies... and I doubt many players would enjoy any Eden daily missions given how often people are scared of it (or don't want to recollect all that winged light again)

Siege and Storm- Chapter 19 (Leigh Bardugo)
Os Alta is pretty far south. Does it mean most of Ravka doesn't have full nights?
Somebody better in geography, write down the consequences, please, because that would put all of Fjerda above polar circle, and Novyi zem is on the same level as Ravka- does it have extremely warm currents around to keep those huge fields warm? It should have those white nights too!
Would making Grishaverse globe larger help explain any of this?
Tumblr media
Red star is Sankt Peterburg- an equivalent of Os Alta, since that's the Tsar-related city with famous White Nights festival.
I've used maps on oats, wheat (Russia) and rye (Sweden) production to see how far reaches crop production (Other crops maps were similar in how far does it reach.).
I put US plantations cca. in the rectangle- that one might be less accurate, but it should be enough to paint the picture, since polar circle is the green line in the upper part of the map. Novyi Zem, I cut similarly.
Just... compared to Grishaverse:

Even Wandering Isle should be freezing pretty much all the time!
Length of the daylight, temperatures... my head's refusing to operate with different data than ours.
Can somebody find an explanation, how can Fjerda grow enough to feed itself? Does this mean Wandering Isle isn't really pseudo-Ireland? Isn't Ravka just too far north to feed larger population, because from our world's map, it's too short to have those most cultivated areas?

I love how while Darius has the basic decency to not abuse kids, he's still not nice, like he chooses to be a difficult asshole the entire time and it's beautiful.
For example in ASIAS, when Darius had Willow, Gus, Viney, & Skara in custody he didn't bother to tell them he had no intention of turning them into the coven and was gonna let them go. He made the situation worse for the kids and for himself because he needs to be at least a bit of a bastard every hour of the day.
And I can't even tell which personal reasoning he used is funnier:
- He intentionally withheld the information, either in some reverse psychology attempt to inspire rebellion, or to try scaring them into realizing how messed up covens really are before they learned the hard way
Or
- He simply didn't want to waste the time explaining. Just. Planned to keep them separated from their palisman until they got to Hexside, then the second they landed, open the door and tell them to go home, chop-chop, I don't have all day
Both reasons are equally a little cruel, but while one is a misguided attempt to "help", the other is just sheer fucking laziness.
I love this man.

He does not go in the deeps, but loves the coasts and the isles, and rejoices in the winds of Manwë; for in storm he delights, and laughs amid the roaring of the waves.

@potentialgood — starter call — Aziraphale & Senna
"If you're here for them, you're here for me." This is not a threat, nor even necessarily a warning—Though it could be. There is something odd, almost otherworldly, about the stranger. Though Senna can tell he was not sent by The Mist, her time in the lantern irrevocably and irreparably changed the way she perceived and related with death. And life. Whatever—Whoever—this was, he seemed tied to it as well. Though if he was neither from the Mist nor a Sentinel, she felt she had reasons to be wary. The souls she had vowed to help did not need more unwanted negative disturbance.

In place of 131: "A Christmas Carol"
In place of 131: “A Christmas Carol”
There never was an episode #131 of Dark Shadows. They made a point of giving numbers divisible by 5 to episodes that aired on Fridays, so on days when the show was not broadcast-as it was not broadcast on 26 December 1966- they just skipped the number that would have been used had it run that day. Since that preemption was the result of Christmas-related programming,* this seems like the place…
