omg hi meg 🥰 i would love nothing more than to monologue about luke in the tour diary to give you some light bus riding entertainment, but as you're well aware, we've just been blessed with cake talking about gbbo content and are losing our minds about that but i'm going to try to multitask here.
luke in the tour diary. there's so much of him being all the things.
he's all about this cone thing. he is gung-ho about the cone. more than any of the rest of them. he has special voices for the cone line. i find this incredibly endearing. he (along with calum) also seems to be leading the charge on the we're young we're hung we're 5sos chant which is also somehow incredibly endearing.
but then, then meg, he shows up smoldering in his tank top with his very wide chest and shapely shoulders and that necklace and his mouth and lips like that and suddenly endearing is not the word i would use to describe him.
the rollercoaster continues with "this is the bus i live on" and the investing skit mixed in with beautiful shots of him in the field of flowers and on the boat and it's enough to make your head spin.
then easy for you to say starts playing, and it seems like it's going to be a nice, vibey montage. and it is. UNTIL LUKE APPEARS SHIRTLESS AND BOUNCING while smiling sweetly and dancing like that one toddler in dance class who didn't follow the routine at the recital and captivated the audience with their antics u know the one.
i had to pause and reply several times to make sure i wasn't losing my mind. i have many thoughts about this half-second moment but you already know what they are and i will not be exposing myself on main this thursday evening. scratching and biting.
all of that bouncing bare torso after he's just destroyed me by dancing in the smiley fleecie? and making silly jokes and weird voices and just generally flailing his limbs every time he's on camera? so much to handle.
so basically: luke hemmings in the eu tour diary is just like luke hemmings in life. the most perfect collection of contradictions assembled inside the most perfect human.

moving to the UK has made me develop an irrational fear of ordering take out
#i simply refuse to order at this point like here you go :#i was craving taco bell after ages and i got back from work at 11:45 p.m and placed an order. like literally they were gonna close in#2 mins. and so i wait and i'm so hungry and i open and it's meat. when i'm a vegetarian and i couldn't even order anything else because#it was already midnight#THEN i ordered taco bell in the afternoon next day and same fucking thing happened#THEN one time i was at work it was a long shift and every one of my supervisors know i'm a vegetarian#so they made sure to tell the guy who was serving food to get me the veg lasagna#and i take my food and go to the backroom and it looks suspicious and luckily my friend was around and i#made him take a bite and he was like yep it's meat#and so because of all of this bullshit instead of ordering take out i went to mcdonald's down the road recently#because i was like absolutely not. and i order a veggie burger. and peep in and check to see it's a green box before heading home#and me and b are sat watching gogglebox and i finish my fries and open this green ass box and lo and fucking behold#it's a meat burger. INSIDE a fucking green box that says veg on it#but i was craving mcdonald's badly so i ordered it online. and guess fuckin what. meat again#i basically stopped ordering food and just physically go out to places to eat#and today it's cold and i'm tired so i ordered food from a mexican place and it took two hours for them to#deliver the food#and it was legit supposed to be veggies beans and rice. and guess fucking what. they put meat in it#i can't even get my money back anymore because i've complained too much but what the fuck honestly#YOU keep sending me meat 😭😭😭😭😭#i'll just make some quick pasta and call it a day 😔✊#food mention

you chuckled to yourself laid down on your bed, watching an edit of ella and alessia's latest adventures together on the lionesses version of gogglebox, rolling your eyes at your girlfriends recount of a very minor finger injury she braved through during the world cup.
still relatively new to using tiktok as you'd first vowed against its use seeing just how addicted ella and mary became, but unable to put it off any longer and with a lot of free time in malta during prep camp you caved.
out a mild curiosity you clicked on the tag of your girlfriends name. her videos came up at first and those you'd seen, her phone forever thrust into your face as she begged for feedback on her content. but scrolling a little further your eyebrows furrowed at the immense amount of edits of the mancunian which were not made by your girlfriend.
so engrossed in your scrolling you failed to hear mary return to the room after her shower, wringing out her hair with a towel as she noticed your obvious interest in whatever you were watching.
"oh you are not watching fan edits of your own girlfriend?" you jumped and locked your phone as marys obnoxiously loud laugh echoed around the room. "piss off nosy!" you threw your pillow at her head as she settled into bed.
"god you're so lovesick its disgusting." mary gagged dramatically as you threw your other pillow, this time successfully hitting her in the face. "your loss! these are mine now." the older girl smirked tucking them both under her as you sent her a glare.
"just you wait till i tell tooney she's gonna love this."
and despite your begging, and you did mean begging on your knees with hands clasped together and puppy dog eyes, the keeper did in fact keep her word and rush over to tell your girlfriend the very next morning at breakfast.
you sighed from a distance as you grabbed food for the two of you, rachel patting your back in sympathy at the wild eyed grin ella sent your way. "i don't know what thats about but...good luck." the older girl chuckled as you groaned and picked up your tray.
"oh my biggest fans brought me breakfast aren't i lucky!" ella smirked as you placed her plate down and rolled your eyes.
"don't make me spit in it ella." you mumbled, tired and hardly in the mood for this today, kept up half the night by marys snoring having drawn the short straw and being forced to room with her this time.
"oh my grumpy baby whats wrong?" ella cooed knowing exactly why you were so annoyed as you shot a smug looking mary a filthy look across the table. "here babe maybe this will cheer ya up." she slid her phone in front of you where an edit of her from last years euros played.
"you're insufferable." you sighed knocking her phone away as she sloppily kissed your cheek mumbling that she loved you very much, your mood remaining low all throughout breakfast.
"nope! you sit love, i'll do it, and i'll make ya a juice for trainin." ella beamed pushing you back into your seat and grabbing your plate for you, stealing a kiss as she did and ignoring the teasing jabs from mary across the table, millie going with her.
"i hate you earps." you crossed your arms and scowled at the keeper who blew you a kiss and wiggled your eyebrows. "you love me." mary waved off the claim and returned to her conversation with keets beside her.
a juice was placed down in front of you as you craned your neck back and smiled appreciatively up at your girlfriend, kissing her cheek in thanks as she sat back down. "oh! i know how to cheer ya up." ella suddenly perked up, scrambling back to her feet.
"el baby i'm fine i'm just-" you started but her finger smushed against your lips silencing you as she bent down and whispered something to millie whose grin slightly terrified you as ella stood out of her seat, counting in.
on three millie clicked play on something on her phone, breaking dishes by rihanna started to play and ella began to sensually dance. "who needs tiktok edits when you can have one live baby?" ella grinned as she rolled her body and pulled faces.
"oh jesus help me." you buried your face in your hands as ella continued and mary started to film, both her and keets dying of laughter on the other side of the table.
"okay ella enough!" you groaned though unable to stop a smile growing on your face as millie cut the music and your girlfriend dropped back into her seat.
"enjoy that love?"
"no i think i like the edits more, they don't speak back."

Let's get OFMD on Gogglebox!
One of the biggest things we can do to try and get Our Flag Means Death picked up by another network is keep making noise about it, and so I had a wild middle-of-the-night idea about one way we could do this: try and get the show on Gogglebox!
For anyone who doesn't know, Gogglebox is an extremely popular and successful show in the UK on Channel 4, where ordinary people (and sometimes celebrities) watch and react to television shows, pop culture moments and films.
Usually, they seem to react to television shows after they finish airing, between a month and two months after from what I've seen from other shows, so we have time to push this. It would be amazing exposure for the show, and really put it in a fantastic spot in terms of visibility in the UK.
So, how do we do this? Well, firstly, I would say tweet about the show and tag Gogglebox on Twitter, letting them know that they should react to it. The 'This Woman's Work' scene, which feels tailor-made for a Gogglebox reaction, is airing on BBC2 this week (19th February 10pm), so a great opportunity to tag them going 'hey, look over here!'.
Another thing that we can do is contact Channel 4 directly. Here's a rundown of how to do that.

Step 1:
At the bottom of the screen, after filling in your details (if you're outside the UK, you can generate a random UK address to use here: Random UK Address Generator - GeneratorMix), you will see a box labelled ‘My message is about’.
Select ‘Channel 4/+ - streaming/on demand/apps’.
Then click 'submit'.
Step 2:
Select how you normally stream Channel 4 (if in doubt, just select ‘Channel4.com’).
When asked if you're contacting them about a technical issue, select ‘No’.
When asked what your query is about, select ‘Programmes’.
Then click 'submit'.
Step 3:
You can then leave your message. Some points to think about including:
Plainly state what you want them to do (you want Gogglebox to feature OFMD, which is currently airing on BBC 2 and available on iPlayer)
Explain what OFMD is and why it’d be a great candidate for Gogglebox (emotional and funny, with bonkers and heartfelt moments, perfect for reacting to!)
Push the diversity angle and how great it would be to see such a queer show featured on Gogglebox
Show that you are aware of Gogglebox by referring to other things they’ve reacted to (some ideas in my message below, or you can have a look on their YouTube) - the ‘Running Up That Hill’ Stranger Things reaction was incredibly popular and did very well for them on social media, so worth mentioning that there’s a similar scene in OFMD
Mention that the show is immensely popular, so featuring it would bring in an automatic audience AND get social media traction too!
This is the message that I left. I tried to include everything as an example of what we could say, but of course if you want to make it shorter and snappier, please do!
I'm getting in touch with a recommendation for the current series of Gogglebox. I think it would be fantastic to watch the Goggleboxers react to Our Flag Means Death - Series 2 of which is currently airing on BBC2 (and is all available on BBC iPlayer). It's an amazing queer romantic comedy about pirates, that can have you laughing out loud and bursting into tears in a single episode, which I think would make for some fantastic reactions from the Goggleboxers. After being deeply affected by the tear-jerking reactions to It's A Sin a few years ago, I think it's really important to see the Goggleboxers react to a very different queer story (twice GLAAD-nominated) which, despite having dark moments, ultimately celebrates queer love and queer joy. I remember how brilliant (and popular!) the Celebrity Gogglebox reactions to the iconic 'Running Up That Hill' Stranger Things scene were, and Our Flag Means Death has a similar (but different) scene, in which Ed (Blackbeard) imagines the man he loves as a mermaid helping him fight back to life following a suicide attempt. It's one of the best scenes I've seen in a television show in years, bonkers AND emotional, made me laugh AND sob, and it feels absolutely tailor made for the Goggleboxers to react to (you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pSi1M8iQh_s). Not only is the show brilliant, but it also comes with a hugely passionate fanbase (over 86,000 people have signed a petition calling for its renewal, it was one of HBO Max's most popular shows last year in terms of engagement, and it consistently trends on social media with tens of thousands of tweets) who would flock to watch and talk about Gogglebox if it were featured. I really hope you'll consider letting the Goggleboxers watch this utterly brilliant show!��
Then make sure you tick the ‘I agree to having my details passed to the production company if necessary’ (we want our messages to get to the people making Gogglebox!)
Then hit submit, and you’re done!
I think it's worth a shot! Who knows, if we make enough noise, and show how much of a following the show has, the producers might just consider featuring our pirates on the show, and what amazing exposure that will be!

Just curious, probably old news, I’m sorry, but what did you think of The Couple Next Door? We can’t get it yet in Canada. I have only seen clips on IG, but, correct me if I’m wrong, it looks alright. Not one of his typical stuff.
I wrote a review about it, and some hilarious videos from GoggleBox are fun to watch about it as well.

Harry walked up to the patient again, bemused, and tugged at the pillow, but the person had a surprisingly strong grip on them. Again, with more annoyance in his tone, he said, 'fight me.'
