First art on a new tablet!
Grian having a crisis due to Watcher things. c:
I talk about my new tablet under the cut if your interested!
So, as an early birthday present I got an inexpensive portable tablet called a PicassoTab. I've had it for a bit but I've mainly used it to take notes for my externship and other things using the Squid notes app but I've finally sat down and pulled up mediabang and done real art.
So what do I think of this tablet?
The PicassoTab is an inexpensive general tablet that supports a real drawing pen. Basically, its a cheap iPad and apple pencil. Except I would definitely NOT call it cheap. Its actually a really nice little tablet and pen combo and I'm quite happy with it.
I'd liken it to my large Ugee tablet in terms of draw feel. Its very obviously a tablet and does not at all feel like drawing on paper. This can be a major downside for some artists to PLEASE keep that in mind. While I prefer my Gamon as far as draw feel, since I've used the Ugee before its not a huge downside and the portability makes up for that less than desirable draw feel.
The pen uses a single AAAA battery which isn't ideal imo. While it keeps the pen smaller and more pen sized, its a hard battery to find outside of online stores. Its not rechargeable so when the battery dies then you need a new one. Though there are rechargeable AAAAs out there, I dont know if they will fit as rechargeable batteries aren't the same size as their normal counterparts.
HOWEVER, I've been using this thing almost CONSTANTLY for over 2 weeks now and there is no sign of the pen dying so I think its got a good battery life and the passive discharge is minimal.
Whats nice about the Picasso is that its a general tablet as well as a drawing tablet. It has access to the play store and runs on android software. It came with 2 drawing apps installed and I really didn't care for them. But with access to the play store I was able to download mediabang which is a free software app that works wonderfully. It doesn't have all the same options as clip studio but its more than enough for the sketch book experience I want from this. I did make this art as a finished work on the Picasso but I didn't get it to replace my Gamon, just to replace the chunky sketchbooks and notebooks I used to carry around (and use less paper).
The other positive about it being a general tablet is that I can use it as a notebook, too. I write A LOT. Notes, lists, planners, ect. My house is stacked with notebooks of all shapes, sizes, and colors. I have SO MANY pens, too. Like WAY too many pens. But because the Picasso has access to the play store I can use the note app Squid to replace all of these notebooks and pens. I now carry around about 12 notebooks and counting in my purse and the notebooks have unlimited pages. Squid also lets you edit and move text after its written so its pretty easy to reorganize notes without rewriting everything.
So ya.
100% recommend if your looking for a portable sketchbook/notebook tablet.

Hoya I'm currently saving up for a tablet aswell, because I'm drawing on my school's ipad that I have kept well past the due date, but have to give back now that I'm moving out of my boarding school that I'm sponsored to be in, and i wanted to ask for tips/recommendations what to get, because I have literally no money, and am scared to blow it on a tablet that sucks or something
advice on what to get can vary, but i am VERY opinionated on what not to get: fuck wacom lol. this from someone who's been on an intuos pro for years, but while they at least have longevity going for them, mine has had constant driver issues and a major hardware failing -- years ago the port for connecting it to the comp AND FOR CHARGING IT via usb failed for no reason, which is apparently a common issue for my model, so for years i have been forced to 1. only use it via wireless connection, which makes the driver fussiness WORSE and 2. buy a separate universal camera battery charger, bc w the port failing that was the only way to charge the thing. wacoms are fucking EXPENSIVE, and they're lovely to draw on, but imo for the price they should be massaging my balls as a bonus, not breaking constantly and making me tear my hair out. they are just not worth it unless you have the cash to burn and you're a HUUUUUUGE stickler on all the really technical stuff.
rant aside. i have heard nothing but lovely things about huion, which is why it's what i'm switching to now; here and there i've seen ppl say the drivers can be fussy on mac, but it doesn't seem like a dealbreaker. huions are also pretty damn affordable if you're looking at a standard tablet rather than a screen one.
if a huion is outside your budget, i think i can recommend a monoprice -- my first tablet ever was a tiny wacom bamboo, but my first "serious" tablet that i used constantly/daily was a monoprice. it was dirt cheap and it worked absolutely fine and it lasted me for ages. i haven't used one in a very long time, so i can't speak to if the quality is the same as when i used one, but i always think fondly of the one i had. i remember the first-time driver setup being awful, but once it got working i don't remember ever having issues with it again.
in terms of just general tips: get the biggest one you can afford. it's better for your wrist, and even though it's scary to invest in something when you're not sure you'll like it, it's usually worse to pay for something crappy that you'll end up wanting to replace eventually anyway. even when i've had really cramped workspaces or no real workspace at all, i've never found that the compact-ness of a tiny tablet has made up for how ergonomically shit it is to draw on one; i would rather awkwardly wrangle a slightly-too-big tablet any day.
good luck, i hope this is helpful!

A ROUGH TIMELINE OF ALL MY DRAWING TABLETS:
(or at least the ones i can remember!)
1: Wacom Bamboo Tablet (~september 2010)
Tumblr media
i asked for a drawing tablet for my birthday in 2010 SPECIFICALLY so i could use it to draw sparkledog wolf ocs on the chickensmoothie oekaki forums and this is the one i got
2: monoprice MP1060-HA60 drawing tablet (????like 2012? maybe?)
Tumblr media
i very vividly remember owning this specific tablet in high school but i have no idea when i got it
3??? wacom intuos pen and touch small (?????)
Tumblr media
IDK i remember owning this one too (i liked it bc the other end of the pen functioned as an eraser)
4??: wacom 13HD 2015 model? i think (2015-2016 or so)
Tumblr media
i also don't remember exactly when i got this one just that it was a smaller cintiq model that didn't function as a small portable computer- it had to be hooked up to a pc or a laptop as a 2nd monitor using. the WORST cord system known to fucking man:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the cord that plugs into the tablet itself was soooooo fucking flimsy and if you bent it or moved it too much it would break. every single person i knew who owned one of these tablets ended up rigging their tablet cords with mass amounts of duct tape bc they only functioned at a specific angle and if you jiggled it just a little the tablet would turn off
5?: wacom intuos 3 4x6 (2016-2017)
Tumblr media
i eventually gave up on my cintiq after the screen cracked and was without a tablet for awhile. my friend zoe lent me her old tablet for a few months while i searched for a new one
6: wacom intuos pen and pro medium (2017 or so)
Tumblr media
this is the replacement tablet i ended up getting, idk i have nothing notable to say about this thing except for the fact that this cord ALSO ended up breaking on me too. this tablet however had bluetooth capabilities so it still worked fine, except for the fact that i had to remove and charge the battery every now and then using an external wall adapter
6: wacom intuos creative pen tablet small w/ bluetooth (2019?)
Tumblr media
this is the tablet i used to complete all my assignments in senior year, and i still own it actually! (i named it Pistachio) this is probably the tablet i hold the most fondness towards bc it is so small and cute and handy
7: ipad pro 11" 2018 model (2019)
Tumblr media
i still have and use this baby! it's my favorite drawing tablet i use for basically everything at this point because it is so portable and feels super nice to use
8: xp pen 15.6 pro (2020)
Tumblr media
this one is currently the 2nd monitor on my desktop and i like it a lot! i do have a couple gripes with it (namely the fact that the pen wobbles a bit and the glossy screen causes a bit of friction and resistance when i use it) but overall i do enjoy it :] i love the shortcut buttons the most! the red ring is a dial that i have set to zoom in/out on my canvas in csp!

Here’s my note before I’ll get started….
(NO COPYING OR PLAGIARIZING FROM ME AND ONE OF MY CLOSEST FRIEND’S WORK! THAT INCLUDES OUR CHARACTERS, DESIGNS, STUFF, ETC. IMPOSTERS AND SEXBOTS ARE NOT WELCOME TO FOLLOW MY BLOG WHATSOEVER! 😡 That will be all….I mean it.)
Mash-up style review - Glass Screen Pro, StylusHome Stylus Pens, and JETech Case for my iPad 5th Generation device (and other of my devices)
Hey guys! Consider this will be my last post for this week of March; especially working hard to observe I had when checking this items I’ve owned now. (Also, just in case if I got nothing for today’s last “On This Day” post share. Sorry. 😅)
It’s for my second iPad device that I’ve hoped to give a good upgrade or a good clean. Thankfully after ordering from Amazon.com with my mom; almost until I got the right sized tablet case days later. So yeah….😅
Link Here #1
Link Here #2
Link Here #3
What that being said though, It’s finally time when going through my mash-up style review. So sorry for taking so long; that includes having our cable connection problem from past weeks. Just a thought, but still.
Link Here #4
Anyways, I got it through recording while setting things up for good measure. However, I put aside of my Fintie tablet case due to “accidental ordering” that I’ve mentioned. I’ll be keeping it unless I can get my own iPad Air soon. We’ll see. Now on with this review of March 2023. Or at least while assembling things for my second iPad device.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ 1st through 4th Images (from 1:18 or more to 1:30 P.M.)
First off is where I started back in March. 7th. This is the Glass Screen Pro Protector from one of my packages I’ve unboxed. Though not the first where I wanted to installed at my device’s screen; which happens I’d use for my Samsung Tab E back in 2019. ⬇️
Link Here #5
Now years later though, I’ve got the same thing that also compatible for my second iPad device. It also helped to prevent from dirt, germs, or scratches to high resolution display. At least when reading the front cover or online sites, but nice details to remember. Anyways, I unboxed this while getting started to installing my iPad’s screen. Though I’ve been through this before when doing other of my tablet and video game handheld devices.
Good thing where I followed through instructions by using guide stickers, one cleaning wipe and a cloth to set up. Once it completed by few minutes later, my second iPad’s screen is secured very well. Looking at it, it was pretty nice after being careful of installation. I’ll be saving the full picture after this review is done.

⬆️5th through 9th Images (started at 3:01 to 3:20 P.M. after unboxing and close-ups)
Now for something different where I moved on to my second item to unboxed. This here was my new magnetic stylus pens from the brand “StylusHome.” It even sell other different pens and accessories if you’re interested. However, I picked with those pens that I’m going with; especially how it looks like any luxury pens while holding them. Nice!
Unlike where I used to work with my “Blackweb” stylus; in terms of coloring, some sketching, or swiping through apps. ⬇️
Link Here #6
Once I've opening this case itself, I have one each black and white pens separate; pre-installed with magnetic tips sealed that I've mentioned before. It also came with four replacement parts to install in case of losing them, a cleaning cloth, a manual book, and the warranty card. Don't expected to have USB cables to charge these pens up; unlike with my "Blackweb" pens that it still working as of today. I'll see I can check it back for my other post soon.
As for this new pens however, they're pretty fine to use without any power buttons on. Unless you'll be looking for other "StylusHome" stylus that does need charging batteries. Though what I have was good looking standard pens that I would needed to be careful when using. Which is why where going to the next part below as I tested out later. ⬇️
Tumblr media
⬆️ 10th Image (ending at 3:48 P.M.)
I went to my PicsArt app minutes later and test out at least with my one stylus pen. This here was my drawling lines I have so far, but doing in both different tips. Regardless which tips suits better to use for drawing/sketching stuff, I pick with the clear disc tip kind. I putted on top next to the below of my second drawing line; while using the fiber tip. They’re not bad, but slightly different in comparison that I would’ve do more of it. However, it’s best I can still use the clear disc tip for hoping of better art tracing experiences. Though only to get closer while tracing. Whatever works.
Good to know my “StylusHome” pens works well that I’m getting started on further art projects later on. Also it good on swiping onscreen (to other tablets and devices) whether using Google app or YouTube app through searches. Well, I usually go with my fingers; especially good for tracing through art sketches from previous times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️11th through 18th Images (On March. 11th; started at 5:55 P.M. before bedtime)
And finally this one; though waiting about few days til the 11th of March. Unlike where I “accidentally” ordered the Fintie tablet case, this here was the right size that I would’ve looking for. It came from the “JETech” brand that sells different cases, screen protectors, and other accessories. I helped with my mom to pick the right size for my second iPad that thankfully fits. Its design was made with faux leather material and having a sleep/wake function when opening and close the magnetic cover. As its fit though, Just wanted to make sure to check on the back bottom of my tablet’s model number. Mine was “A1822”; so after checking on what’s on the box, it support that as well. Nice. 😉👍
I also wanted to point out the color of the tablet case itself; which is black, even if I would’ve go something a bit nice or unique. However, appreciate the looks I’ve picked up with. Not only that, it also folds in different position for viewing or working while doing on art stuff. You know what’s coming when sharing this post I got.
My Thoughts:
Do apologies for the long wait I’ve worked up, but worth to check out my three items for the first time. After ordering from Amazon.com; though later when ordering the right sized tablets case was approved. I like the way while hoping to give a good clean upgrade for my second iPad device, but also using with my new stylus pens for 2023. Do hope I’ll be sure to take care of it.
Hope you guys enjoy this review I’ve came up. Again just to note, I’m leaving my Fintie tablet case out until further notice. Mostly if getting my first iPad Air tablet device soon. Who knows?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⬆️ 19th through 21st Images (On March. 26th at 5:00 P.M.) (Bonus)
As I promised, here’s a closer look of my second iPad device; after installing with the screen protector and my “JETech” brand tablet case. Pretty nice, huh? Very appreciated after ordering from Amazon.com; alongside with my “StylusHome” pens. Anyways, see you guys on April 2023!

With its powerful Apple M4 chip, redesigned Magic Keyboard, and impressive OLED display, the iPad Pro seems like a strong contender. In our tests, it even outlasted many Windows laptops in battery life. However, after using the iPad Pro as a laptop replacement for a week, it became clear that the best MacBooks have nothing to fear. While the iPad Pro is a fantastic tablet, it still lacks the capabilities to deliver a true laptop experience. One major factor is the limitations of iPadOS for productivity. Despite its user-friendly interface, iPadOS falls short when it comes to multitasking and working with productivity apps. Basic tasks like switching between Google apps can be cumbersome on iPadOS compared to a traditional laptop browser. The iPad Pro's Stage Manager feature, while helpful in theory, can be restrictive when trying to use split-screen view. Many users have expressed the idea of putting macOS on iPads with M-series chips to enhance productivity. However, this solution may blur the lines between tablet and laptop, creating confusion for users. Another aspect to consider is the price. The iPad Pro, combined with the essential Magic Keyboard, can cost more than some MacBook models. For example, the 13-inch MacBook Air M2 offers a more affordable option with similar performance capabilities. In conclusion, while the iPad Pro continues to evolve, it still falls short of being a practical laptop replacement. Until iPadOS improves its productivity features or Apple explores other OS options, the MacBook remains a superior choice for those seeking a laptop-like experience. Yes, the iPad Pros Needed to Be Thinner
I won’t be buying the new iPads, as I’ll keep rocking my 11-inch 2018 (with Magic Keyboard). But one thing has been bugging me about the early coverage of the new models, that I wanted to address. 1
Because, when I watched the Keynote and saw that the new iPad Pro models were thinner and lighter, I immediately went “Nice!”. But I kept seeing (and hearing) comments like this, here exemplified by David Pierce (whom I really like!) on The Verge: 2
Basically, the point is, “Who asked for this? Why not make it thicker and increase the battery life?” Nilay (Patel) agrees with this — but then, six(!) minutes later, answers the question: 3
So yeah, not a long time between them not understanding why they made it thinner and lighter, and complaining about it being too thick and heavy…
Reason #1: The Magic Keyboard
Tumblr media
As you can see, the iPad becomes pretty thick! Furthermore, I personally really like that it’s cantilever instead of using a kickstand (as it uses way less depth) — but then you have to worry about it falling over. This has caused two things in the old Magic Keyboard (MK):
To counterbalance, the keyboard itself has to be heavier.
It still can’t tilt as much, and this contributes to the lack of a function row.
So, as the new iPads are thinner and lighter, they’ve spent some of the gains on making the keyboard lighter as well, and some on adjusting the angle to make room for a function row. Very valuable stuff, in my opinion!

Reason #2: Holding it
A friend and I have exchanged iPads temporarily — so currently he has my iPad Pro 11-inch, and I have his iPad Mini. 4 The latter is obviously way worse as a semi-laptop — but it’s very nice to hold! Either for reading, watching movies or playing games. But the larger and heavier the iPad is, the more clunky this (traditional tablet usage) is. I’m not saying my 11-inch is terrible at this — but I absolutely think improving it at it is worthwhile. And this is even more true on the 13-inch. Previously, I had a 12.9-inch (with a home button), and I rarely used it in my hands, as it was so clunky.
More batteries come at a cost
If Apple instead shoved more battery life into the iPads, we have to remember that we would have to carry that extra weight, and deal with the extra thickness, every time we use (or just transport) the product! And we would only benefit from the extra battery life those times we’re away from power for more than 10 hours. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be nice to not have to plug it in quite that often, or get away with a smaller power bank on a trip. But I am saying the two reasons above far outweigh (pun intended) this benefit.
So I’m pleased Apple chose to make it thinner and lighter — because it was absolutely needed. And I think I’ll love it, when I buy the 2024 11-inch model second hand in three years!
I wanted to write this post earlier, before the reviews are out - but I still think it’s relevant! ↩︎
Transcript:
David: “But them I’m like, OK if this was was a little thicker, so it didn’t have a camera bump (which is a thing a lot of people pointed out was…). This thing could’ve been the thickness of the camera bump, and would’ve been about the same thickness of the last iPad - which no one was complaining about the thickness of, by the way.”
Nilay: “Yeah.” ↩︎
Transcript:
Nilay: “What I’m really curious about is the keyboard. Because my favourite plane computer of all time, was the 12-inch MacBook, which was super light and thin. I tried to replace it with the previous 11-inch iPad Pro - which turned out to be, like, thick. Like, it was just like a heavy, weird thing… It, like, just wasn’t as good as a laptop in many ways, because of just the way it worked.”
David: “Yeah.”
Nilay: “Is the new keyboard case sort of better at… They announced it as being more like a MacBook than ever, which I thought was really interesting.” ↩︎
Why no love for this, Tim!? ↩︎

Product Highlight: Remarkable 2
Recently, I've developed an interest in evaluating products and their value propositions. I became particularly enamored with the reMarkable 2, a lightweight tablet designed to replace traditional digital tablets. What sets it apart is its focus on productivity, minimizing digital distractions to enhance efficiency.
Value Proposition: The value proposition of the remarkable 2 is that it has a near paper writing feel to it and due to its limited internet connectivity to the app store and google play store it is supposed to be distraction free and encourage individuals to do more of note taking and organize their thoughts.
Target Customer: The target customer for the remarkable 2 tablet are professionals, creatives, writers and students in academics who prioritize focus and productivity and seek a digital solution for notetaking and reading without the distractions of traditional tablets

Very thin and lightweight tablet and does feel like a notebook and does have a paper-like feel to it when writing.

Apple Unveiled The AirPods 4 Ultimate Sound Upgrade
Tumblr media
Apple AirPods 4
Apple released the AirPods 3 over three years ago, and a new model AirPods 4 with many enhancements and additional functions is expected later this year.
First-generation AirPods Pro inspired many third-generation AirPods advancements. The second-generation AirPods Pro may influence the changes to the AirPods 4. A Bloomberg research by Mark Gurman provides the greatest predictions.
Two Types Apple is rumoured to be developing two AirPods 4 with differing prices. It appears that Apple plans to replace both its third-generation and second-generation AirPods. The AirPods 2 and 3 have barely any differences outside their looks.
ANC and a speaker in the charging case will be added to the higher-end AirPods, previously only available in the AirPods Pro.
Modifications to Design Next-generation AirPods may have a design similar to the present AirPods and AirPods Pro, with shorter stems. Apple may add silicone ear tips, but fit is expected to improve.
H2 Chip The next-generation AirPods may have the H2 chip from the second-generation AirPods Pro. H1 chips are in both second- and third-generation AirPods.
The H2 chip in the AirPods Pro, together with a low-distortion audio driver and proprietary amplifier, offers a “exceptional acoustic experience” according to Apple. The H2 chip in the AirPods Pro enables computational audio improvements, resulting in fuller bass and better sound across varied frequencies. These advancements are anticipated to be present in the AirPods 4 .
Additionally, the H2 chip may provide speedier connection and device switching, permanent battery information, and personalised spatial audio.
5.3 Bluetooth The H2 chip and Bluetooth 5.3 connection are present in the AirPods Pro. It’s quite likely that the AirPods 4 will get Bluetooth 5.3, as a lot of Apple goods already have it. Bluetooth 5.3 speeds up and improves Bluetooth accessory connectivity and power efficiency, extending battery life.
Extended Life of Batteries The H2 chip included in the second and third generations of AirPods uses less power than the H1 chip. An extra hour and a half of listening time with Active Noise Cancellation activated is made possible by the H2 chip and Bluetooth 5.3 in the ‌AirPods Pro‌ as opposed to the former model. This might result in an improvement in battery life from five to roughly six and a half hours for the regular AirPods.
Volume Handles The addition of touch-based volume controls to the AirPods, akin to those found on the AirPods Pro, is another possibility. Putting one’s thumb on the stem of either AirPod and using one’s index finger to swipe up or down on the little touch control area is how users adjust the volume.
On-device volume controls, however, might be seen by Apple as a premium feature exclusive to the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max, thus the AirPods 4 might still be without them.
Locate My Enhancements In order to fully interact with Find My, the MagSafe Charging Case is also probably going to receive a number of upgrades. Here, the U1 processor for Precision Tracking and the integrated speaker of the second-generation AirPods Pro presented two important innovations.
It is currently possible to locate them using the ‌Find My‌ app on your iPhone or iPad, albeit this is a limited experience since it only shows you whether they are close or not. If your AirPods are on a different floor, your iPhone may indicate it with an arrow pointing in their exact direction and an approximate distance. All of these features are made possible by the U1 chip.
A similar sound can presently be heard through the earbuds of your AirPods to assist you in finding them. You should probably expect a very muffled sound if the earphones are inside the charging case. In order to improve the clarity of location alerts from AirPods and enable customers to detect the case even when it is disconnected from the earbuds, Apple integrated a speaker into the charging case of the most recent AirPods Pro model. When the next edition of the standard AirPods is released, it is anticipated that the same speaker will be included.
Because the lanyard loop on the AirPods Pro functions as an antenna for the U1 chip, it’s also important to keep in mind that, should Precision Tracking be available, this little functionality might potentially be added to the next version of AirPods.
Charging Support for Apple Watch Using a Lightning cable, a Qi wireless charger, or a MagSafe, the third-generation AirPods may be charged. Apple included an extra charging option for its most recent AirPods Pro model: an Apple Watch charger.
Since charging technologies don’t appear to be “Pro”-only features according to Apple, it is possible that the AirPods 4 will include this additional charging way as a standard feature to increase their versatility.
Functions of Hearing Aids The ability to use AirPods as an over-the-counter (OTC) alternative to regular hearing aids will reportedly be included by Apple in a software update that launches later in the following year. The OTC hearing aid choices were approved by the FDA in 2022, which allowed Apple to sell the AirPods to anyone with hearing loss. A hearing test that would determine whether AirPods users had hearing loss is another purported feature of Apple’s coming service.
Port USB-C The AirPods 4 , like the latest iPhone models and USB-C AirPods Pro, will have a USB-C charging port.
Airpods 4 release date In September or October of 2024, according to rumours, the fourth version of AirPods will go on sale.

Navigating the World of Phone Repair: What You Need to Know
Tumblr media
In our digitally-driven world, smartphones have become ubiquitous, essential for communication, work, and entertainment. But what happens when these vital devices malfunction or get damaged? Navigating the world of phone repair can be daunting, but with the right knowledge, you can make informed decisions to get your device back in top shape. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Understanding Common Phone Issues Before diving into repairs, it's important to recognize common phone issues. These can range from cracked screens and battery degradation to software glitches and water damage. Identifying the issue helps in understanding the repair needed.
2. DIY Repairs: Risk vs. Reward While the internet is flush with DIY phone repair tutorials, it's vital to weigh the risks. Simple tasks like replacing a screen protector or cleaning charging ports can be done at home. However, more complex repairs require professional tools and expertise. Incorrect DIY repairs can lead to further damage or voiding your warranty.
3. Choosing the Right Repair Service When selecting a repair service, consider factors like reputation, experience, and the quality of parts they use. Look for reviews and recommendations. If you have a high-end phone, opting for authorized service centers ensures that you get specialized services and genuine parts.
4. Warranty and Insurance Considerations Before proceeding with a repair, check your phone's warranty status. Repairs performed by unauthorized centers can void warranties. Additionally, if you have phone insurance, understand what is covered under your policy.
5. Cost Analysis: Repair or Replace? Sometimes the cost of repair might be close to, or even exceed, the value of the phone. In such cases, consider whether it’s more economical to repair or replace the device. For older models, upgrading might be a more sensible choice.
6. Time Without Your Device Repair times can vary. While some issues can be fixed within hours, others might take days. Consider how long you can manage without your phone, and if necessary, arrange for a backup device.
7. Data Security and Backup Your phone contains personal data, so data security is crucial. Always backup your data before handing your phone for repair. Inquire about the iPad repair New Tampa data protection policies.
8. Post-Repair Care After your phone is repaired, take steps to prevent future damage. Invest in quality protective gear like cases and screen protectors. Regular maintenance, like keeping the software updated and avoiding overcharging the battery, also prolongs the phone’s life.
9. Environmental Considerations Repairing and reusing electronics is more environmentally friendly than replacing them. Consider the environmental impact of your decision, and if possible, opt for repairs to reduce electronic waste.
10. Learning from the Experience Finally, use the repair experience as a learning opportunity. Understand what went wrong and how it can be avoided in the future. This could involve changing usage habits or being more aware of how environmental factors affect your device.
In conclusion, navigating the world of phone repair requires a careful consideration of various factors. Understanding your device, choosing the right repair service, and being informed about the costs and implications of repairs are key to making the best decision for your smartphone’s health and your peace of mind.
