I was inspired by your last anon answer and the bit of «hire me Emmerdale». So I want to ask how do you envision the future ? What will you do to get the show right back on track ? Personally, I would get rid of multiple characters, there are currently 80+ characters and it’s just too much, although I will reintroduce or introduce my own characters. I will bring back the Windsors (Scott and Kelly), Daz Eden (Half brother of Andy and surrogate son of the Sugden), I will bring Adult Jean Tate ( Scott’s and Zoe daughter, unfortunately with Leah Bracknell passing, I would have to kill off Zoe) and also Adult TJ Woods (Terry and Dawn son who is also the grandson of Bob). I am torn about bringing back Jamie Tate. As my new characters, I will bring a new family with no attach to any Dales resident or secret. I want a regular and mundane British family, with middle aged parents and kids who are in the late teens to their early twenties to give company to Belle, Tom, Samson, Amelia, Noah, Gabby and Jacob. I was also inspired with how you brought up the necessity of the depiction of Matty’s identity as a trans man in today England who have more backlash against queer people by the day. The same with gay couple. Honestly I don’t hate Arthur and Marshall; I think there are cute however if it would have been up to me, I would have waited two years before putting them together, I think the actors age is restricting them too much, they are even below the age of consent. I would have wrote Arthur as having a crush on Marshall but M turning him down and then it would have been two years of unrequited love and will they/won’t they and then Marshall reciprocated Arthur feelings but it’s too late because Arthur met someone else at school and when Marshall confess his feelings, Arthur respond with anger saying he has been in love with him for the past two years, but now it’s too late. In the end, they do get together after Arthur realise his feelings are still very strong…
An absolute fantasy scenario of mine, where obviously I would write realistic storyline and bring back the community in Dales, with characters everyday life interaction and a diversity in jobs (too many vets). I will stop putting everyone together and create meaningful pairing. I will also bring back the cattiness and camp vibe of the late 90’s and 2000’s (Watch Dawn and Kelly fight in 2005 for context)

First of all - bring back robron (i don't care if Ryan and Danny would actually want to, in this scenario they do) and bring Liv back from the dead (what, stranger things have happened on this show)
Let robron raise seb and their football team of other kids, let Liv and Vinny be happy with Chip and maybe discuss kids and how they would want to go about that. If Liv would want to carry a child or not, have sex to get pregnant or not - just a story of a couple figuring out if/how asexuality and having kids go together.
I do like Arthur and Marshall together, they're cute. And even if they're underage that doesn't mean you can't tell a cutesy teen romance story with them (I mean look at the heartstopper boys or further back Jude and Connor (I think) on The Fosters. Arthur became an LGBT+ activist overnight but has 0 interaction with the other queer characters in the village. Even if his coming out was good/happy/his family and friends were supportive, it would be nice for him to talk to other people about it. With robron and Liv in the village he could talk to him, there's Ethan and Mack (I know the writers have forgotten about his flirting with Jamie and Aaron but no take backs - he's bi). He could (help) organise a proper village pride festival that actually focuses on the queer characters - and they could raise money for a charity that helps trans people.
I would bring Jamie Tate back and have him be in Thomas' life - and Gabby having to deal with that. And him having to deal with his 2.0 version (Tom) working at the vets. I'd have him back at the vets too and have the awkwardness of working with Dawn - who has well and truly moved on but he still kind of has feelings for her. I don't know who he'd possibly date though - maybe revisit the flirting between him and Mack from Mack's early days.
If we're bringing in/back long lost relatives, I'd like some Sharmas to rock up in the village (maybe Jai has some long lost cousins out there) and bring back Andy and some Sugdens (doesn't Robert have a niece/cousin out there of around his age?) And I'd bring back Ellis and put him and Vic back together.
I'd get rid of WENDY, Paddy, Chas, Meatloaf, Mandy, Dan, Will, and Zak.
Definitely bring in some new characters - Ryan's brother maybe? Maybe he'll have a family to bring with him. and there's so many empty houses in the village, a completely new family would be good too.
I like Caleb and Nicky, they can stay, but I'd bring in Nicky's mother - and maybe her partner and his other siblings. Ally can stay too and he and Nicky get together properly and we get some insight in how/when they met and how long they've been in each other's lives
Moira gets to keep her farm and Kim keeps HF for now and hires Robert as her second in command.
Cain takes Nicky under his wing like he did with Aaron back in the day.
Amy and Matty get a HUGE wedding - only robron's was better - that's just the event of the year and we meet some of Matty's friends from when he lived in Manchester.
Charity and Vanessa back together - out of all the partners she's had, she works best with vanessa (and no unexpected pregnancies!)
Chloe and Sarah move to scotland to live with Debbie and only occasionally visit so Mack can spend time with Reuben - after a while they tell him they're together and are living their best lesbian lives up in scotland.
I like Bob and Bernice in the B&B - they can stay. Without wendy in the mix they'll be easier to deal with.
Liam and Leyla back together - their break up still makes no sense.
that's all i can think of for now but i'm sure just watching the show will make me yell more at my computer screen lol

I know people are understandably upset with the news that came out yesterday about Isobel( Liv) but I think it was inevitable in the end. Because she couldn't realistically continue long term without Ryan hawley and Danny Miller. I also think that her mind was already made up about quitting but in hindsight now I think that things were discussed and confirmed when the 3 of them met up at Danny's wedding. Maybe that in end it didn't matter about Ryan being there or not if it was being planned that Liv was going to be killed off. But as much as I am an absolute fan of Ryan's and Roblivion I think there is a positive to all of this the current team of incompetent imbeciles can't cause harm anymore. Danny will be alright, Ryan has done marvellous with the Marathon and Isobel gets to enjoy being 21 again while she is young enough to try to enjoy life! Maybe someday a really passionate and inspirational gutsy new producer will come in and offer the boys the opportunity of a lifetime with a really epic storyline and we will get our HEA. But who knows. At least we all will have some happy memories and moments of the family and that is at least something! Emmerdale are over with in my opinion once Faith has gone aswell! Thanks for the message! Regarding Liv, I have to say I am gutted she‘s being killed off for two reasons: Personally, I believe her character had way more potential than what they wrote for Liv. And it also really hurts that another person Aaron loves is being taken away . I think our boy suffered enough.
Anyway, if Izzi wanted to leave we have to respect that and I‘m sure she‘ll do great in the future.
As for Robron, I‘ll always hope and wait for a happy ever after. I am delusional like that. They are meant to be and everyone who disagrees must have watched a different love story than me. 😅
The thing is though, the writing for the show sucks and the producers only come up with stupid, repetitive storylines. The problem isn‘t new, we already suffered through the years when Robron were still on, if we‘re honest. That‘s also the reason why I never was interested in the show itself and I never watched it actually. I don’t live in UK and don’t watch UK television, I followed Aaron‘s and Robron‘s story on youtube and social media only.
Therefore I am not too much emotionally invested in the upcoming weeks. I am just happy to see Aaron‘s face again and the rest, well, is just a (mediocre) soap - for me, at least.
Generally, I am happy that Ryan and Danny are trying other things in life and living their best lives with their families.
Their characters are better off now in the hands of the fandom anyway. The show doesn‘t deserve them. We can treat Aaron and Robert with respect and love and I can only speak for myself when I say I won‘t stop posting or writing about Robron in the near future. I have loads of ideas for our lads (too many, that‘s my problem 😅) and will write them down as long as there are three people out there who are still reading it. Robron diehards and that 😂.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

Is there a way to know that without having to count? Haha, up to or more than 300,000 I'd say. No probably definitely more. ETA: okay I figured it out, haha, and it's 482,890.
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
For the most part. Sometimes I read a comment when I'm in a rush and don't have time to reply, and then forget to do it. But I always see it and they mean everything to me!
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
There hasn't been many, I'm not built for unhappy endings haha. There was this one though, as part of a collection of robron AUs that I wrote. It got a lot of traction too and people seemed to like it!
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
There are SO many I don't have a clue how to narrow down 'happiest'.
7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?
No, I haven't written any! They're not something I dabble in, writing or reading.
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not hate per se, but in the due South fandom there's this anonymous person who's notorious for leaving negative comments on fics that feature Fraser/Ray K. And I've had a number of those haha.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I'm not sure what that means, what kind? Haha. I write MLM, but mostly vanilla stuff. I'm not really into much more than that.
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of?
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! I've been so lucky to have some amazing people translate my works into Russian, Italian, and Chinese.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
I did once, it was fun! It was for the Jongens fandom a few years back, called Count on Me.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Thats really hard to say. I'd say my top ones are Steve/Danny, Fraser/Ray K, Robert/Aaron, Ben/Callum. Although I have a lot. A lot.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
None that are published, but I have a Midomer Murders fic in the works that I really hope I can be inspired to finish one day. I also have an SGA fic that I want to complete. They're both longer fics so, I'd need time and energy I just can't seem to find much of these days.
15. What are your writing strengths?
I feel like it's probably dialogue. Also maybe turns of phrase, making sentences have a rhythm. I just like that way of writing.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
Let me count the ways! Haha, no, no. I guess I find the descriptive, showing not telling part of writing pretty difficult. Just setting scenes and tying everything together.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I do that a little bit when I'm writing for a fandom that's not English, such as jongens or skam. I just like to add a little here and there of what you come to know from the source material. Maybe people find it inauthentic or jarring? I'm not sure.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
That's going back a ways! The first thing I think I posted fic for on AO3 was a soap pairing Will/Sonny, but I was posting stuff for Criminal Minds and MASH way before that on LiveJournal, haha.
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
Oooh thats easy, I really want to write some Luis/Moritz fic, I'm following their storyline from a German soap. If you're interested you can watch it at the blog @moritzandluis, they have done a brilliant job of uploading it with English subtitles!
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
I honestly couldn't say. I do enjoy going back and reading my stuff, but I'm not sure there's any that I like a lot more than another. Anything longer and plottier I guess I get prouder of, just because it's not my strong point and it feels more of an achievement.

HAHAHAHA literally anything I posted in the [redacted] fandom 🤣 but more than that, probably the Second Person fic I wrote on quizilla. Thank god that site is gone forever lol
📃 Ever written something inspired by someone elses fic?
Yeah I think there have been elements of my fics that I was inspired by other fics. Can't think of anything off the top of my head, but it's usually from other fandoms that I'm inspired for robron fics.
⛰ Hardest fic to write?
Probably Ashes to Ashes. Especially the self-harm and suicidal ideation. It was extremely tough to write, and in a sensitive way that didn't make it seem like I was being blase about the situation.

You are very patient replying to these anons that seem to think Marco has been invented to deliberately upset Robron fans!. It's very obvious that Aaron and liv are going to reconcile and liv will want him to stay so the show need to give Aaron more of a reason for leaving again beyond just going back to hang out with Adam on the run!. So they have invented an off screen new boyfriend for Aaron to return to explain him deciding to leave again and like you say a happier exit. It's not to spite us
Haha exactly. I mean sure he could be going back to his quiet life on the Isle of Wight to wait another eleven years for Robert to get out of prison but that's just not relevant to them. Haha.
I say we just collectively decide Marco is an alias for Robert. It's more fun. This actually makes me want to draw a cartoon of it or something and I haven't had any robron drawing inspiration for months.

15. What’s your favorite time to write?
When I have free time! I did two hours at work yesterday (in the office no less) because my work computer was doing a compulsory upgrade and so I had to sit there for two hours to prompt stuff and accept stuff intermittently. So I took my tablet into work and I wrote. On company time.
Mostly however, I tend to write of an evening or later on because I am much more of a night owl than anything else.
42. What’s your favorite title that you’ve come up with?
I like themes when it comes to my titles. For FirstPrince I'm using quotes (like the boys signed off their emails with); for Tarlos it's lines from poetry. When I wrote in the Emmerdale fandom for Robron they were all one word titles and I had a grand plan to write a fic for each letter of the alphabet.
But I love "In the burned house I am eating breakfast" because when I read the poem I knew it fitted the story I was writing, but then it also inspired a scene where the family were eating breakfast...
In the burned house I am eating breakfast.
You understand: there is no house, there is no breakfast,
yet here I am.
And so the scene where the family were eating breakfast together was born, but the house was not there and the breakfast was not there, but there he was... (I'm just all round super proud of that fic.)
Anyway. I have the day off and I only have a few chores to do and then I want to be creative so please, send me more asks because I love talking about writing as it makes me want to do more!
