"Starting from Scratch" That was the theme of the October @upcrate box and I finally came around to do this. It's such a different way of working/drawing, but so fun to do it again after some time. I never scratched on a surface before that I prepared myself. However, I really like how you can delute the black ink and play with the different greys and scratch on top. I love the @ampersand_art scratchboards or this time clayboards for this type of art. As a motif I chose this Christmas Wild West scenery greatly inspired by a painting by Jack Sorenson @jacksorensonfineart I found on Pinterest. "childhood dreams/heros" Ich weiß nicht wie oft ich als Kind ich die Bücher "Hanni und Nanni" von @enidblytonofficial gelesen habe und wie oft ich mir den Anime angeschaut habe. "Look up at the stars and not down at your feet!" Diesen Monat hat uns @kreativ_im_zwergenheim mit ihrer #challenge #inspire_create_crew in den Weltraum entführt. Der Weltraum ist schon faszinierend. Ich weiß gar nicht, wann ich mich das letzte Mal an ein solches Motiv gesetzt habe. Wieder habe ich gemerkt, dass Galaxien zu malen einfacher aussieht, als man denkt, damit das Ergebnis so leuchtend und kontrastreich ist. . Jungle-Walk on the wild side There were a bunch of #colouredpencils inside the April @scrawlrbox. Different to the tiger print of the featured artist @ceci_art_studio, I almost immediately thought of #orangutans while swatching the pencils and keeping the prompt in mind. I love the colour selection of the @derwentartofficial #chromaflow pencils and they worked really well on the toned recycled paper. However, I'm most impressed by the new extra fine #brushpen by @uniball_uk. It was easy to control.
