did anyone else have to lie to their therapists and show up to court in suits and wear a mask of Impenetrable Masculinity devoid of expression in order to survive. to go on hormones. to have surgery. to not get assaulted in bathrooms.
does anyone else have family members tell them they couldn't possibly be a man because of how feminine they are. or ask them if they're detransitioning every 5 minutes because they put nail polish on
being masculine is what is expected for men whether they are cis or trans. i get that your own internalized transphobia, in addition to unchecked misogyny (stemming from dysphoria) as well as femmephobia (which stems from toxic masculinity) is warping your world view where Big Femme is subjugating the mascs, but the issue here is not femmes.
the issue here is cis people infantilizing and emasculating you.
so instead of throwing us under the bus, next time consider not mentioning us at all. say what you actually mean. "i don't like how cis people depict us" or "i would like to see some more positivity for mascs"

Eldritch Steve
Part 11

Eddie stared at Wayne, Wayne stared back, for several long moments neither one blinked but Eddie was human and so eventually he had to.
"Arg, remind me not to get into staring contests with Eldritch beings!" Eddie yelled as he rubbed his watery eyes.
"You never once won a staring contest with me boy, no reason to start now." Wayne said with a shrug, "You want coffee, Steve?"
"You're not mad at me for telling Eddie?" Steve asked, nervously.
"Surprised it took so long." Wayne handed Steve a mug, all of them had been replaced with the new two bedroom trailer.
Steve also knew that several soldiers had gone missing when they insulted Eddie in Wayne's presence, Steve had claimed he'd overheard them talking so he'd eaten them, which had the confronting soldiers cringing back and Owens blanching and making a quick escape.
"It wasn't my secret to tell, but he needs to know what being Mated to one of us means." Steve said, holding his mug in both hands.
"He is right here." Eddie reinserted himself into the conversation, "And I know what I'm getting into, Steve told me about spawning."
Wayne looked at Eddie and then at Steve, "How much did you tell him about spawning?"
Steve blushed, "As much as I know."
Wayne stared at him and then sighed, "Settle in, the both of you, we've got a long night ahead."
Because Wayne knew just how much about Spawning Steve knew or more exactly how little he knew. Spawning alone was different than Spawning with a Mate, and with the species difference, well, there were reasons that Wayne had yet to Spawn himself, and it wasn't just Eddie appearing on his doorstep.
As Eddie's adult he had a duty to prepare him, as the last Adult of his kind he had a duty to Steve too.
For all that Steve had killed their race he was, in fact, still considered a child of their race, not much older than those kids he'd claimed as his, if Wayne wasn't slightly afraid of Steve killing him like he'd killed all the others, he'd forbid them to even think of Spawning, but Steve was dangerous, though he did not appear so and Wayne doubted Eddie's affection for him would protect him for long if he stood in Steve's way.
So, Wayne would prepare them.
Because Spawn only appeared as eggs when one parent was involved, the embryo forming inside the parent and forming the protective shell on it's journey to the outside world.
Spawn that had two parent were born live and hungry, if Steve and Eddie Spawned they would need meat, raw and the fresher the better, ready for when their babies clawed their way into the world.
Eddie would have to distract them with the meat so Steve could heal, otherwise they might feast on his flesh, they ate their own for strength, afterall.
And Wayne would not be allowed near once Steve was expecting, Steve's instincts would see him as a threat to him and the eventual young, and Wayne couldn't say he wouldn't be tempted to eat the possibly runts, it wouldn't be the first time he'd eaten the newly born, he'd eaten several of his Spawnmates when he'd clawed his way out of his birth parent and his secondary parent hadn't been quick enough to fill his belly.
Wayne didn't remember Steve's Spawning parents, it was likely they'd abandoned him early on, expecting him to die quickly, some Spawning parents would eat their defective ones but others felt the need to let the other creatures have a taste of them. It was a testament to Steve's strength that he'd survived so long on his own.
Their race wasn't kind, not even to their young.
But maybe, Wayne thought as he looked at a waiting Steve and a trying to escape Eddie, he could change that, or at least Steve and Eddie could.

Sorry for opening a can of worms, but you mentioned a certain lion indie project did damage on how people view lions and lion media.
I was just curious on why you say that.
Hoo boy this is gonna be a long post.
I was mostly vaguing on how it's a possibility that My Pride may have skewed people's perception on lion behavior as well as how and what people might people expect from lion media by smaller creators, especially if they are a younger audience who might take everything that happens in it as 100% accurate to lion behavior. Let's not pretend that it's creator didn't influence and inspired a lot of people.
It's a bit of a stretch, I know and I am mostly speaking through experience of what I witnessed in the comments of my own comic and what I have seen towards online media that happens to have lions in it. It has basically died down now, so what I am mentioning was when My Pride was pretty much in it's prime. Thankfully, I didn't get it the worst but I can't say the same for some others.
From what I recall, My Pride advertised itself as "The Lion King but realistic", and even though I feel they messed up that "realistic" aspect part, it wouldn't bother me as much if people didn't act like lion media they discover afterwards somehow has to operate exactly the freaking same or that My Pride is the pinnacle of realistic lion behavior so if you step outside of what is portrayed as "Pride Law" in your own works, it's gets questioned or people will flat out say it's incorrect. Pride Law was even brought up when Silver and Gatura had their fight for example even though no such thing even exists in my comic, and a comment mentioned that males will fight til one of them dies which I have never seen in a one on one fight, even if it did happen most of the time the losing male will retreat. But it happened in My Pride so Silver running away is unrealistic I guess.
And no, Pride Law getting some things right about lions at a surface level doesn't NOT count. Just because lions commit infantcide in real life doesn't mean My Pride portrayal of it is 100% accurate because the circumstances on WHY they are doing it isn't realistic nor does it make a lick of sense.
Don't get me started when people referred to my male lion characters as "manes". Ugh...
Anyway....
Given that Tau ( and by a lesser extent, Silver) get questioned on how they even have prides because they aren't aggressive who killed to get where they are, I can't help but wonder if this is just the standard now because every single male in My Pride ( if they weren't killed off) was a dick. And since "PRUYDE LAHW" states that a male lion's role in a pride is to lead and protect the pride, you couldn't POSSIBLY have a pride in your own works where the roles are reversed and the lionesses are the main protectors. Or that a lioness can simply have a male in a pride for no other reason other than she loves him and isn't just laying around having his cubs because of some "rules".
Speaking of lionesses, you'd be surprised at how many people now think that lionesses will in no way defend their cubs when another male shows up or hell, join in the fight themselves. I feel like people would not have criticized Tau's pride so much if HE was the aggressor and Ekene just sat being submissive because that is what is expected because something popular that claimed to be realistic portrayed it as such. As well as thinking that lionesses are completely weak pathetic creatures made out of wet toilet paper that even if they completely outnumber a single male, he could somehow beat them all without getting a scratch on his body. Nevermind that in real life, lionesses have been known to even turn on their males and kill them.
And some other things that probably escape my mind right now because this post is getting long, and I am just bitching at this point because I been holding back these opinions for quite a while now.
Like I said, I know this is a huge stretch and most of it probably stems from my own bitterness. So I will be fair in this aspect, Even though I feel like the creator should not have advertised this as "realistic" since My Pride is HEAVY on the fantasy elements and tries to tackle issues like Homophobia- I know it's not 100% the shows fault and that people themselves should learn to separate different medias unless a creator flat out states that said media they are doing takes place in the My Pride universe or was inspired by it. My comic is definitely not inspired by My Pride, especially since I first started this comic long before it came out and while some thing have changed about my story over the years, the same major story beats were already planned and there was no "Pride Law" around to even influence that, not that it would have regardless.

Wanna ruin your day like I did mine after reading TIM nonsense? There’s some brief infanticide talk.
So apparently this week has sparked an interest in radical feminism for trans identified males. Their urge to colonize never fails. A few popular TIMs on social media are trying to invite others to co-opt radical feminism from “terfs” to make discussions of misogyny more inclusive...to males. Nevermind the women!
And no surprise these conversations are going exactly how you’d imagine. It’s all about disproving sex based oppression, proving that patriarchy hurts males and that sex is completely irrelevant when it comes to misogyny as a whole. Nevermind thousands of years of sex based violence and oppression!
But the really infuriating part is that a radical feminist responded with examples of sex based oppression saying the truth that denying sex denies the reality of misogyny. And those examples included things like female infantcide and you know what the responses were?
“You are alive today therefore you didn’t experience infanticide for your sex thus your claims of sex based oppression are pretty much void.”
…
These are our “trans radical feminists”, folks. These are the men who people are hailing as feminist icons sent to liberate all women. The men claiming that just because YOU were not killed as a baby girl all the others who were…well they died for reasons that could not and should not be determined and you should basically shut up about it because there’s no reason to have the discussion.
TIMS are so fucking evil.
I know not everyone likes Rupi Kaur, but her poem about infanticide has always stuck with me. I wish I could say I'm surprised with how they acted here, but I'm not. The overlap of Tim's and misogynists is basically a circle, even if they think they are special and have woman feels.

Anon is here to bully you about Sukuna again. Uncle Sukuna. Ate his twin in the womb to survive Sukuna. Which implies,
1) Sukuna’s mother/family tried to have him aborted and he ate his way out.
2) The pregnancy killed his mother and he ate his way out.
(Wow that wanting to eat the women and children coming full circle.)
I lean towards 1) since he calls himself an 忌み子 (Imigo) - which best translates to an abomniable unwanted child. It doesn’t just mean the child wasn’t wanted. It’s more like that they should have never existed. (A lot more resentment to justify infantcide in the connotation.)
Kenjaku might have orchestrated Sukuna’s original birth to begin with since the twin’s soul would have had to been aquired quickly after the body being eaten in utero. (This freak has definitely been controlling how the Itadori bloodline breeds after stealing that soul.) Uraume hates Kenny and this kind of manipulation would explain their anger. Regardless, it seems like Kenjaku wants to keep Sukuna as a lab rat for all eternity if Yuji being the perfect cage is anything to go by. (Screw that bastard for real.)
These are good ideas my friend. Here’s what I think happened though:
Fetus Sukuna eats his twin, is later born and lives then dies. Kenny, who I Will refer to as Brain Blast, is only involved in turning him into a cursed object, and then decides to play the beloved game of Sims 3 with the Itadori family.
Actually I forgot what I was thinking because I remembered that I wanted to play The Sims 🙏 and then remembered again that I can’t because those losers locked me out of my account when rebranding from Origin to EA, and they won’t give it back.

is Raphael's childhood situation still similar? if not what's different about it now! And Lionel what are the changes that have been made to his upbringing! Also what's your favorite change you've made to each of them so far!
They are mostly the same! The main difference that I've made to Raphael so far is that now he's a cheat baby that tore a rift between his mothers. Him and all of his siblings have different fathers, but all of them were communicated about except for Raphael. And the reason they HAD so many children was because they wanted a baby girl (which then Raphael decided to do the funniest thing he could've done). The infantcide in the original isn't a thing anymore (it was. Way too convoluted) but Raphael's mother, Ariel, did have a miscarriage before him. But the neglect, the bullying/abuse from his older brother Gabriel (though now it's less cause he's half-human and more cause Gabriel sees Raphael as the reason the family became so fractured (he wasn't, it was bad before too)), Michael being his primary caretaker, is all the same!
Lionel's is llllargely the same too? He was still sold by his birth family to Sigthy at a young age in exchange for food and protection for a time from Sigthy's gang. Of course now it's different because he's Trans, and I do not believe that he figured out his gender until after he ""joined"" the paladins. I think Lionel had the experience of me and a few other gay trans men i know, who like, could not understand their attraction to men because they could not imagine loving a man as a woman. So I think Pre-Transition Lionel and Ericka had A Thing going on (Lionel both battling dysphoria and trying to love Ericka because he cares about her and the idea of loving a man is Scarier) before Lionel gets caught by the paladins and he's presumed dead by Sigthy's gang. His upbringing after that was with the Paladins which was really really brutal and terrible. They weren't trying to make him heal from his trauma, they were just trying to force this traumatized kid into A Correct Mold.
AND HONESTLY MY FAVORITE STUFF RN HAS BEEN THE CHANGES TO LIONEL. <- idiot learns you can project your issues onto BOTH of the main characters. It's honestly helped me so much to put some of my current issues I'm working through on Lionel, while Raphael represents a lot of my previous trauma/how i coped with it. Coming at it from a new perspective has been great and its made me love the story a lot more. These boys. Are gay. There's just a lot of drama and trauma before they can be happy and heal together

So basically the Puritans took over England in a civil war and ran a very religiously restrictive government for years. Not the first time it happened in England, but notable for what happened next. Where they proceeded to end up moving to America, because it was a place where they could run their extremely specific religion without influence from others. Often prosecuting and exiling puritans who had even moderately differing opinions or didnt live up to standards
The Ninth and Anastastia gives me that vibe
The religion we see in the books seems pretty open and simple, but the ninth is the ninth. She implemented strict dress codes, holy make up, complex rituals, added a sense of repentance and piety to it. Its isolated, the fact that even when people were brought into the cult it was under specific scenarios
The Ninth is shown to be willing to kill to maintain independence and religious isolation. Aiglamene mentions they killed an Empire official before the infantcide. Im not convinced part of blowing up Ortus wasnt just the fact he betrayrd them. They have a prison, that I wouldnt be surprised if they just used in the past for dissenters
My personal headcanon is Anastasia was a religious extremeist that had a cult on the 8th that was similarly hostile to the mainstream religion. She potentially sought out John at Canaan house because her cult was exiled, and John was like "I can mellow her out" and they ended up finding Pluto specifically because it serves the purpose of isolation from outside influence. Its a place they can do whatever they want, if someone dies traveling there its easy to cover up, and outsiders who come in need to conform to its rules because youre not reallt leaving

I wonder just How much of the Ninth's whole deal is to do with Anastasia herself and how much evolved after her death (also based on Pyrrha's comments that she wasn't into skulls and painted the nursery vs. how the Ninth currently looks) and how different Anastasia was after the Tomb was sealed vs. at Canaan House. I also wonder if the Ninth is REALLY that much stricter than the other Houses — sure, they are the weirdo cultists, but it could also be that the others are also very rigid in specific ways that we don't get exposed to (think the Sixth and their near obsession with consanguinity tables etc).
Aiglamene saying that the Ninth kicked off that Intelligence officer is super fascinating to me. I don't think that the prison is under the direct control of the House though, but also we barely know anything about the prison period so ???? who even knows

What if Venti gets a poem from Kaeya, what seems to be the last parts of the whole poem.
It hast three columns the unknown language, a literal translation to teyvatian and a poetic translation to teyvatian.
He denies that he has written something as disturbing yet intriguing as that at all, just saying that he has found it inside a cave while he was taking a walk.
...
The spider queen shows us
The one single way
There is only the night
There is never the day
For strength does not stretch
Through branch or through leaf
It bleeds
From the roots
That secure us beneath
Deep in our hearts
Wrapped tight in Lolth's web
With venom we sting
Her glory we sing
So whisper your love
Of your Matron

Who teaches the way
To your sisters and brother

How would Venti interpret and deal with this especially the part that hints male infantcide.
And what if Kaeya tells Venti that if he wants the two former parts that he'd need to give him two bottles of the best in dawn winery, nothing less.
Venti Gets A Poem From Kaeya
Kaeya, knowing all about the bard, would give him the poem he said he found inside a cave with no other information.
He couldn't deny that it was a beautiful poem, even though it was disturbing in nature.
With only one of the parts, Venti could only guess just what the poem really meant. But all art is about the reader's interpretation in the first place.
To Venti, it appears to be a story of two twin brothers of an evil queen who is loved by all her disciples. However, after falling pregnant, she gave birth to two twin boys. Only one can take over the throne, and she is forced to choose one and murder the other with her own hand
Not knowing who created this poem, as well as if it was fiction or based on historical events, bothered him to no end.
So when Kaeya approached Venti in Angel's Share, seeing him examining the poem, he finally told him that he had the other two parts of the poem.
The price of the other poems was steep, but knowing the rest of the poem had become important to Venti.
It took a lot of persuading and begging, but Venti finally managed to convince Diluc to give him two bottles of the best wine. God knows Venti already keeps his business afloat with how much he drinks.
Really interesting ask! I really do hope I was somewhere on the right track with interpreting the poem! I hope you continue this headcanon when my ask box is open cause I'm curious
