For those already feeling "hey why would you ruin the ending" regarding TMA 2 announcement... we literally Do Not Know if we'll meet the same Jon and Martin we said good-bye to. It could be them in a parallel universe, it can be a prequel, it can be a sequel where they fit more mentor-like figures to another main characters...
The possibilities are endless and if it feels for you like it's gonna be awful, it's perfectly okay if you don't listen to it! The original TMA won't be ruined. We can keep that! That's ours already!

So… I’m back! lol
Never left, actually, but haven’t written a text post in… months. Maybe years?
Anyways, how are you doing? Well, I hope!
Just wanted to give you a few heads-up on things that have changed in the past two/three years:
I got engaged and moved in with @iolanda-zanfardino (please, do me a favour and follow her, SHE’S A FUCKING GENIUS), which is also my working partner! <3
During these years we created 3 creator owned comics series:
Alice in Leatherland ( Black Mask Studios);
A Thing Called Truth (Image Comics);
The Least We Can Do (Image Comics);
Hecate’s Will (Black Mask Studios);
PS: this is Iolanda’s second complete author book -first was Midnight Radio from OniPress-. She completed the book between Alice and ATCT and I have no idea how she was able to pull it off! Sadly, for reasons beyond her control, the book’s been stuck at issue #3 for months, but publication should be restarting soon... )
That’s s lot of stuff! It’s queer and it’s made by queer people!
This may explain why you have not seen me interact much, but I can tell you that turning yourself into a comics creator full time is no joke and… takes time!
What I am going to do here from now on is promote these comics here ( as you may have already noticed) so, yeah, this post is a confirmation that things have changed “a bit” from the moment you’ve been following me for fanarts, shits and giggles, but… if you still want to hang with this blog of mine, you’re welcome! And please, support our comics!
I hate the promoting part, I’m not good at that, but it would really help if you could “like & share” our posts (this place aint like Twitter, likes don’t show up on other people’s timelines/dashboards, they’re more like bookmarks for yourself or something like that, so if you REALLY want people to see something you gotta HIT that reblog button!).
Now, my plan includes creating a comics creator network just like Twitter had/has. I’ll do my best to support other comics creators as well! I want to reblog their stuff on this blog too, but in order to do so, please write your tumbrl post comics url down here!

for a while now I've been trying to get into either designing concepts around apocalypse stories that aren't viewed or told from a white perspective, but also getting into reading and conceptualizing an apocalypse that really never stopped for a group of people, that of which, when looking at stories like fallout, for some...it's happening a second time.
and a lot of popular media really doesn't cover character experiences or environmental design based up on that the apocalypse for these characters never stopped or is happening in a quick devastating way a second time.
#irrelevant babble#but also kinda relevant to the [mostly corporate pushed] re-sensationalized popular hyping of a diluted storytelling of fallout#I speak for myself about this but also...maybe I do need to just find either another game (probably indie)#or book or show that touches on a different narrative and view of the apocalypse genre of fictional storytelling#I would say that's what we all should do but that's erroneous#because of the impact that said franchise has had it's harder to just drop it for something better for a lot of people#I hope there's at some point the same energy in finding other media about the apoc genre that people can get into#that's NOT based on fallout but is based in the storytelling of how to survive an apoc environment and situations thereof#much like how there's other ttrpgs that aren't DnD#*sigh*...it's a lot of work to get into at times...but at this current moment...it's worth the trouble to dig outside of the cave#and find some better light at the end of it

By any chance, are you a fan of other indie horror games other than Bendy?
Yes! I really like Fnaf, but I'm a HUGE fan of Tattletail! Idk if anyone else has heard of that game since 2017 lol but I could probably talk about it for awhile. It's a good game, and there's so many mysteries left to be uncovered! It's sad it probably won't be updated anytime soon
Puppet combo games are pretty cool, but I'm not super into them

i feel like so many indie projects strive to be picked up and become popular and be as polished as possible, when i think the charm of indie projects is the fact that it's handcrafted.

I am so tired of AAA games having watered-down plots and fill-in-your-name protagonists. I want protagonists with problems. Serious problems. Harry Du Bois problems. Mae Borowski problems. I want games where all your options are bad and you cannot win -- where sometimes your prize is negative consequences and that's okay.
#this is why i can only play indie games#every time i play a AAA game nowadays i get hives#i only got to the first gym in pokemon violet and i had to put it down and scream at my SO for like a week straight about how bad it was#meanwhile i'm like ''haha i'll play this funny $3 indie game'' and play the entire detective grimoire series on a whim#and i kid you not literally every character in tangle tower could be a tumblr blorbo#how do you people live like this. playing the world's blandest most poorly designed games for $75#the floor texture of the pokemon protag's house is a photo of someone's kitchen backsplash upscaled with no further editing#they didn't even have stochastic texturing for their hills. that's how bad it was. i am reeling#fish babblings#draft dump 2023

been starting to put together a spreadsheet to compare the number of fics archived to each website, and it's just like... man those fandom history posts weren't kidding; ao3 was not built with the weebs in mind LOL
#i have more categories to include eventually but i obviously have to fill out the backlog for them... c':#bc Obvs. harry potter will be a really big factor in this dataset! its existence on ffn alone rivals the total number of anime fics there!#plus there are movies n comic books n stuff... eventually i will need to reference a comics expert or smth to help judge#which fandoms are worth including on my spreadsheet for smth like the mcu on ffn. or even god forbid rise of the brave tangled dragons#i would also like to someday go back n start digging for more indie archives for cartoons n tv#but that's also why aside from cartoons n mlp i'm leaving the dig for indie archives for last#(bc w/mlp it would probably be like. an actual statistical sin to leave out fimfiction.net LOL)#it's also such a shame that wattpad doesn't allow for wayback machine captures... i need that!!!! i need that data!!!!!!!#anyway.#spreadsheet babbles#i should make a tag list reference. just for myself at this point

I’d been busybusybusy getting ready for my Anime North convention and hadn’t found the time to mention it yet, but I watched the animated pilot for Lackadaisy the other week and absolutely loved it!!
As someone who works in animation (though I am naught but a lowly explainer vid animator), projects like these are so very uplifting! So inspiring! And as someone who loves both period pieces and cats, it was really a delight to watch. Just wanted to sing its praises is all ^^;;;
(I’ve gone ahead and read the available comic version now as well! So good!!)

did b&n officially push out that "we're not stocking books we cant guarantee to sell" policy? i find it very odd that they didn't have the new wayward children book considering 1) how popular seanan mcguire seems to be and 2) how popular that SERIES seems to be
like i know what i perceive isnt necessarily how the numbers are but its weird! its a brand new book! where is it!
