im actually going to tear into totk’s dragon’s tears/ memories rn bc i remember feeling distinctly unsatisfied with them when i got all of them so im just going to write some general bullet points about them, about what i dislike or maybe what i do actually like about them, leaving out both master sword scenes and the mummydorf one because i’m here to talk about the stuff in the past not that
- off the bat (i play this game in english btw so all of this is based on the english text and translation i am aware some stuff is slightly different in other languages) im not really a fan of how the descriptions of all of the tears is just a literal description of what happens?? i think my issue with it is that some of the text is a little bit too in depth, as in it just tells you literally everything about the scene. this might be nitpick-y but i personally dont like it
- what’s up with zelda saying ‘but that must mean...!’ at the end of the scene. is it suggesting that she’s made the realization that rauru and sonia are the first king and queen of hyrule? because they literally tell her that like ten seconds before. i guess it’s suggesting she’s realizing she’s in the past but... idk the texts says ‘she’s left startled by a suspicion that she’s heard those names before’ yeah theyre the first king and queen of hyrule?? they tell her that. they tell her their names and that they are the first leaders of hyrule is she just now connecting the dots that she’s in the past? that’s what the next cutscene implies. but all of the surrounding dialogue and the description don’t suggest that that’s what she’s realizing i feel like this was kind of muddled in the translation
- why did sonia elbow rauru he was just standing weird he didnt say anything this isnt a nitpick im just confused. is it because he’s not being very empathetic towards what zelda’s going through? she elbows him and then she goes and talks to zelda why even elbow rauru. ordinarily you elbow someone like that if you mean for them to go do something why elbow someone if you’re going to do the thing you want anyways
- why doesnt zelda offer to help with the purah pad or anything like that. what happened to her sheikah tech fascination from botw. not even as someone actually familiar with the technology who could give mineru some points as to how it works
- what are sonia and zelda doing behind rauru when he shoots that insane fucking beam at the mulduga swarm they’re clearly doing something with their stones but like... are they amplifying rauru’s power somehow?? what do time powers have to do with the beam of light i dont- what were they doing please the text description only mentions him using his powers so are sonia and zelda just... supporting his powers? idk man
- dragon tear #5 is a whole can of worms with its worse-than-oot reenactment of that one scene from oot. why the focus on sonia and her tear btw. i mean yeah she dies to motivate rauru and zelda but like. why not aim for the new girl who probably doesn’t know how to use it as much and is probably more likely to be separate from the king who can shot insane lasers. im really not a fan of this scene for how strongly the game sides with rauru and zelda being passive and judgemental but ganondorf is literally the best part of it there’s a lot of character in just how he picks up his sword and stands up to leave
- putting memories 6 and 7 together just because of how there was just. no fucking care put into the idea of zelda learning to use her time powers. memory 6 zelda talks about wanting to use her time powers and sonia gives her tips on how she could use it and visualize the use of it and then in memory 7 she can just use it perfectly with great control and timing. why even bother talking about her nothing yet understanding how to use it when the very next scene she just uses it like it’s nothing. how much time has passed we get nothing to show us zelda trying to practice this power just. nope. she’s good she can use it perfectly. also more awkward dialogue sonia saying ‘what a picture zelda paints of him’ as she is. looking directly at zelda. change the line to like, ‘what a picture you paint of him’ she is literally looking right at zelda so why would she say it like that
- generally i feel like memory six should have been before 4 and 5 (4 being where she uses some power to... support??? rauru and it being before memory 5 so that there isnt this weird break in between the memories concerning ganondorf.) memory 6 does not have anything to do with memory 4 or 5 so just put it earlier so there isnt a weird shift in focus between the two big ganondorf scenes
- good god they introduce the idea of sonia and zelda being aware of ganondorf using a fake zelda but theres literally nothing about it having been a problem or them having experience or like. anything. they just TELL you that they know and suggest that it’s been like. a thing for a bit??? also obligatory ganondorf’s face model rigging is fucked comment he’s still the best part
- the pacing of these memories is just weird in general, memories 7 and 8 being separate but the same scene is strange when other memories are long as fuck but cover one event each, plus theres clearly barely any passage of time between memories 7 and 8 it almost feels like they were split up to fill space or just because otherwise it’d be... too long? man idk
- ‘queen sonia needs you!’ girl she is DEAD good fucking luck doing anything to help her
- ganondorf’s horse and its armor both look sick as fuck i really wish you got to see more of it outside the memory it appears in
- everything about the original sages honestly sucks. they aren’t characters they’re just walking macguffins. they have no names and are not relevant or mentioned or make any appearance until they are needed by the story. why does the zora sage talk about getting word about the attacked gerudo village in this scene when like. they’ve all met up and have clearly. been together for a bit. when she gives them the news it’s clearly the first they’ve heard of it... but... why would she wait until this moments to give this info unless for the benefit of the player watching the scene. why does the ZORA sage have this news and not... the gerudo sage?? what’s with the masks. they’re all made of zonaite or whatever sure theyre gifts from rauru but like. i hate that it kind of denotes them being subservient and lower than him and the zonai. honestly i really hate this scene in general mostly because of the uncomfortable showing of how rauru absolutely holds power over them and despite them being leaders as well they are expected to be wholly blindly loyal to him. rauru only gives them these stones when he needs their aid and they swear loyalty too him soon after but you also see that sonia and mineru have stones, too, so they’re clearly withholding these things despite it being kind of reasonable for him to give each race their own secret stone as further proof of their pact? there is so much shit to be said about the imperialistic themes or whatever in this fucking story and i really hate it
- i do kinda like how the next scene shows you that the one rock in the corner of that first hidden room in the forgotten temple is sonia’s grave
- zelda’s phrasing and description of how she and link found ganondorf is weird to me ‘he’s still alive’ ‘he lives on’ girl that was a mummy. he was not moving until you got there. he’s undead at best as far as you know. this is def a nitpick but eh. also the reliance on link is a... bit odd when zelda does not actually know that link is safe until she gets the master sword. its fine but still. also her shell-shocked expression after rauru talks about her being in the past for a reason is a bit... it doesn’t fit her emotion it’s kind of similar to the expression she had when sonia was killed
- the memory about the imprisoning war starts with practically the whole story up until now being repeated back to you by mineru with a decent amount of bias on mineru’s part and while it’s fine because of some of the extra stuff you learn but it does a lot more telling rather than showing when it comes to the actual imprisoning war and... idk the whole thing about their ‘fight’ kind of falls flat when you don’t actually see any fighting you just see that the sages have gotten their asses beat. i think it would have been a little interesting if in the god-awful repetitive sage-awakening scenes they had actually showed you the og sages fighting ganondorf instead of just. slow-mo freeze-frames for whatever. once again ganondorf if the best part of the scene
- the rest of the memories are fine idc
i get the feeling that the japanese-to-english translation was either all-around rough or somehow rushed, because some of the phrases in the game as well as some of the dialogue is really awkward and... could have been better. i don’t know how it works but it feels like a lot of it was very literal, direct translation and no one at noa thought that it ought to be tweaked just a little bit
these memories also do a fuck-ton of telling rather than showing and it really is like they don’t really trust you to connect the dots, and some of it does come off like they either didn’t want to make more memories or ran out of time or something. i felt like the memory of ganondorf just summoning his monsters and riding on his cool horse could have been a bit longer to actually show us the forces of hyrule fighting him and having a hard time with it
a lot of the character animations doesn’t have a whole lot of personality to them, ganondorf is the character who had the most distinct and interesting movements. rauru and sonia had their... singular movement (rauru putting a hand to his chin and sonia taking zelda’s hands) and zelda was kind of just... standing around and reacting to stuff, and neither mineru nor any of the other sages had any really interesting animations asides from mineru’s coughing fit in memory 16 (plus her reclining chair that was a nice touch). very few of their movements really express anything about the characters besides some really baseline values or traits.
the ordering of some memories is kind of odd, the excessive flashbacks in memory 17 are a bit much, the telling rather than showing, the sometimes awkward dialogue, a lot of the scenes are characters just... talking at each other, you don’t actually see very much of hyrule in the past or any characters beyond the main four, and it really did nothing to actually get me to care about these characters at all.

“Buddy, what’s wrong?”
Jack hadn’t spoken a word the entire ride from school. Aaron was used to his bubbly sweet voice filling the car, telling him all about his day; so the silence was deafening.
“Nothing,” he replied, dropping his small bag on the floor and running to his room.
The truth was, Jack had been pretty moody lately and it was all because of you. Well, it wasn’t your fault of course, but it was your absence that had Jack throwing tantrums in a way he never used to before.
As Aaron’s best friend, your presence in his house, in his home, was a constant. Movies, dinners, board game nights…Jack had grown used to you. And he absolutely adored you.
When Beth came into Aaron’s life, though, things started to change. You were pulling away from him, from them. At first, Aaron thought that maybe you were jealous; and if that was true, he would drop Beth in a heartbeat and run into your arms. After all, she was only a distraction to him in order to get over you.
All those dreams of him were shuttered one day, when he had called to ask you if you’d join him and Jack for a movie night, only to be told you had a date: a date with the dad of one of Jack’s classmates. You told him the two of you met when you went to pick up Jack from school one day, and Aaron cursed the moment he had asked for your help. If he knew the dads there would be all over you, he wouldn’t have let you set foot into that damned school in the first place.
“Jack?” Aaron said, knocking on his door.
“Go away!”
“Jack, please talk to me. I want to help.”
There was a long pause before Jack finally opened the door and let his dad in.
“What did you do to her?” he asked with tears in his eyes.
“Buddy, what are you talking about?”
“Y/N. Why isn’t she your friend anymore?” Jack looked incredibly sad and it broke Aaron’s heart.
“We’re still friends,” he answered, softly. “What makes you think we’re not?”
“She’s never here anymore.”
“I know,” Aaron said. “But that doesn’t mean she’s not our friend anymore. We’ve just both been busier than usual.” He wasn’t technically lying, but he still felt bad.
“Why couldn’t you get together like they do in the movies?” Jack raised his voice. “Now she’s with Charlie’s dad. And she packs Charlie lunch and makes him sandwiches that look like dinosaurs like she used to do with me! It’s not fair, she was ours first!”
Well, that explained why he was so mad after school today.
Aaron couldn’t find any words to say, and how could he when he was just as jealous as his son? Jack was right; you were theirs first. And they’d win you back.

“And dad told me we’ll go get ice cream later with Y/N!” Charlie exclaimed, but Jack did not share his enthusiasm.
“Okay,” Jack answered, rolling his eyes.
“And maybe we’ll go to the movies after. She said she loves watching cartoons! She doesn’t think they’re boring like all grown ups,” the kid continued, not realizing he was making Jack upset.
“I know, we watch cartoons all the time together,” he replied.
Right next to them, their fathers had a separate conversation, but very much similar to theirs.
“The kid loves her already,” Charlie’s dad, Nick, said, watching you from afar. They were all waiting for you to finish your little chat with that teacher friend of yours, so they’d finally leave the school building.
“And how can he not, I mean she’s so great,” he added.
“She is,” Aaron agreed, though gritted teeth.
“I’ll take them for ice cream now so they can bond a little more. This girl loves ice cream.”
“Yeah, I know.” Who did that guy think he was? Thinking that any detail about you would be news to Aaron. Of course he knew you loved ice cream. He knew you better than anyone. Anyone.
“Sorry!” you said, walking fast towards their little group. “I hadn’t seen my friend in a while.”
“That’s alright.”
“It’s okay.”
Aaron and Nick talked at the same time, which ended in them sending annoyed glances to each other.
“Well, we better get going then,” you said with a smile.
As all of you walked out of the building, Aaron heard you telling something to Nick and Charlie. “Can you wait for me in the car? I’ll be back in a minute!”
To Aaron’s surprise you approached his car with one eyebrow raised. Oh no, you were mad.
“Y/N,” he said, but you cut him off.
“Why are the two of you being mean to Nick and his son?”
“We’re not mean to them,” Aaron said, but Jack’s voice was louder. “Because we hate them!” he said.
“Jack.”
“What? It’s true. You said that Mr. Nick is ugly and a jerk!”
“Jack, language!” his dad scolded him.
You turned your gaze to Aaron. “Is this true?”
He sighed, in defeat. “Jack, can you please get in the car? I want to speak with Y/N.”
“Fine,” he said, and followed his dad’s request.
“So?” you said when you were finally alone.
“So…I may have said some things about Nick.”
“Why?” your soft voice asked.
“Because, I can’t stand the thought of him with you. God, Y/N, I can’t do this anymore. I want you. I want you to be mine. I wanna be the one who takes you for ice cream and the one who brags about you to the other dads.”
“Aaron…”
“I understand if you don’t feel the same way-”
“Of course, I feel the same way, you idiot,” you said. “But then Beth showed up and I thought it was one sided!”
“Beth’s in the past.”
“She is?”
“Yes. She didn’t mean anything to me. It’s always been you,” Aaron admitted.
“Wow…” you said, placing your palm on your forehead.
“Yeah…”
“Well, I have two people waiting for me in the car right now. And I don’t want to just blow them off.”
“I understand.”
“I’ll talk to Nick tonight. I promise,” you said, touching his hand. “Okay?”
“Okay.” Aaron smiled.
“She touched your hand,” Jack said with a smirk when his dad got back in the car.
Aaron stared at him through the rearview mirror with furrowed eyebrows, but Jack could read him very easily. So he just giggled.

“Ew!” Jack yelled, his face forming a disgusted expression at the sight of you and Aaron kissing.
“Hey, you got your wish!” Aaron told him. “You should be grateful.”
“You know what I think?” you asked.
“Hm?”
“That our little Jack is jealous because he’s not getting any kisses.”
“No!” he giggled, as you and Aaron chased him, ready to cover his chubby cheeks with sweet kisses.

so as someone who is only on chapter one of omori and is obsessed with it here are my thoughts as a new member of the fandom
bear in mind that i haven’t finished the game. i only just got to that one creepy forest place? like the one after the spiders? please don’t spoil!!
but spoilers for everything before that below
1) I HATE BASIL. he’s such a stupid little punk. “uwu im so smol and helpless and i always get bullied and i’m so sweet and innocent” I JUST KNOW THAT FUCKER IS HIDING SOMETHING. everytime i end back in that stupid white room it’s because HES DOING SOME SUSSY SHIT. i also just hate him and everything about him and i know for a damn fact that he’s hiding something horrible behind that sweet little smile and he thinks he’s tricking me but he’s NOT I KNOW HIS GAME.
anyway.
2) i literally cannot decide on a favorite character. i have a least favorite, that’s pretty obvious, but when it comes to a favorite im torn. i LOVE omori, aubrey, kel, and hero all the same! i love mari too but i’m a little salty against her because all her hints for the quests are severely unhelpful 😭 but i still love her tho. i just love the main four so so much and i physically cant choose who i like better. poor little aubrey seems so scared and alone when she has the pink hair and she’s so kind in the little space world thing. hero is a sweetheart and i can’t wait to meet him in the colorful world where i’m moving or whatever. and kel is literally so me 😂 it’s not even funny he just does whatever the fuck he wants and that deserves some respect on his name. and omori is a kickass main character who has a cool thing going for him. but these four characters are sooo well crafted and i love how they work together! it’s a great dynamic balance!
3) i’m either a really bad gamer or the game is super long. i finished the prologue in like seven hours. it took SO LONG. i’m not used to indie games taking that long to play considering that i got through all of undertale in like 10-12 hours my first time. it’s awesome! i love finding all the secrets and talking to all the npcs but DAMNNN.
4) this game has so. much. detail. it’s insane. like the sheer amount of mini games and tiny pockets of lore. it’s like higher than undertale level and i don’t mean to keep going back to undertale but i see a lot of similarities in the game style. i also totally got sucked into playing like 30 rounds of blackjack on omoris computer. it was cool af.
5) the fighting mechanics are super hard. maybe i just suck at strategy but i am so bad at the fights that i just run away whenever i have the opportunity 😭 it’s a problem. i also have no clue how the happy sad angry shit works, i just make omori sad so stab has an attack boost and make aubrey angry so headbutt has an attack boost but other than that i don’t really use it at all and i don’t understand it. maybe that’s why it took me literally 10 tries to get past space ex boyfriend? it’s really fun i just think it’s supposed to be easier than it is and i just missed a memo on strategy.
6) i really love the message so far. the way that mental health is portrayed as something that’s a never ending journey. omori doesn’t just breathe and then everything’s okay, the game highlights realistic coping strategies and makes things like depression, anxiety, and phobias to understandable for any audience through a very creative medium: an indie video game. it’s genius. and i just love how it’s been approached so far, it’s very inspiring!
7) i’m terrified that this fandom is gonna make me mad, i swear to god if i just walk in and see a bunch of basil stan’s i’m turning and walking back out 💀 i mean okay maybe i’ll like basil better later but chances for that seem very low right now. my sister told me that apparently he went through some trauma thing? womp womp don’t care he’s an annoying mf who keeps taking me back to that boring white room where i stab myself, he’s a party pooper and i want a tornado to blow his dumb little flower house down.

Also im in a mood for side characters smut today.
Kazu slamming and raw fuckin mc against a wall and nuzzling their neck, smelling their hair and slamming in even harder when that salty smell of their sweat starts to gather.
Raath fingering and groping mc in the middle of some crowd while holding them against his chest. enjoying all the hungry and disgusted eyes seeing what he's doing and knowing he could even fuck them in there with all the people watching but doesn't only because it would upset mc.
Marcel trying to hold back himself but after mc gives him those oh so lovely eyes he grabs their hand and drags them inside the closest public bathroom where he locks the door and fucks them against the sinks and looks in wonder and determined when mcs eyes roll back and their fingers turn white with how strong they grab the sinks edge.
I love these side characters so much.
Kazu’s def got a little bit of that possessive roughness going on and he’s very into like natural body scents and stuff too so the smell of your neck/throat while he’s giving you everything has such an effect on how hard and urgent he fucks. He’s not quite feral the way Mori is but you’ll definitely feel some teeth as he pants against you. He’s also strong as shit and so its a little bit novel to get lifted/manhandled/hauled around like you weigh less than a chicken patty.
Raath, my beloved little freak man, loves to play mind games and powerplays. He would very much love upping the ante with some risqué public play, only to hold off on finishing the whole ordeal until sometime later. He’s also bold af with little care for social ramifications from others so he’d have no personal hangup with barely covert groping or sliding his hand up your shirt in broad daylight. Marcel has so very little self control, all you have to do is bat your big beautiful eyelashes at him and his head’s full of ideas and his dick’s filling out in a hurry. A/n: This one is definitely on the cute side, extremely fluffy.
Summary: Aaron, Gabriel, and Paul "Jesus", are going out on a run. Aaron has Y/n watch over Gracie, but little Gracie tells Y/n one too many of Aaron's secrets.

"You guys gonna be okay?" Aaron asked, Y/n and him stood next to the gate watching Judith and Gracie play on the porch.
"Yeah, we'll be fine." She chimed. "Im worried about you, Aaron. You're going out there, and I know that you can handle yourself. But it's still extremely dangerous, so stay alert."
Aaron smiled and nodded at her words, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug. Y/n embraced it and snuggled her head into his shoulder.
"Keep her safe." He whispered.
"You know I will."
Y/n watched Gabe, Jesus, and Aaron walked down the road and into the woods before she closed the gate. Gracie came walking up and leaned her head against Y/n's hip.
"Daddy will be okay, right?" She asked.
"Nah, he's as good as walker food."
Gracie gasped.
"I'm kidding, Pumpkin. You're Daddy is one of the most bravest men I know, he'll fight to his dieing breath to get back to you. He'll be perfectly fine, I bet you he won't come back with a scratch."
"Really!?" Gracie asked, sounding cheery.
"Damn right, Princess! Now let's get inside, it's hot out here."
The two walked up to Aaron's house, Y/n was about to walk in, when she stopped. She turned back around and faced the street.
"Hey, Jude! Wanna come in? Imma make some Mac!" Y/n yelled.
Judith got up off her spot on the grass and ran up the steps. The three went inside, and like a pack of Lil Jabba the hutts, they headed for the kitchen.

"You alright?" Jesus asked, looking at Aaron.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Im just worried about Gracie."
Gabe chuckled. "Y/n will take good care of her. She loves that little girl like she's her own."
His comment making Aaron smile, the thought of himself, Y/n, and Gracie all being a family made is heart beat faster.
"Y/n is a lovely person. Very kind, someone a lot of men must've chased after in the old world." Gabe continued.
"I know I would've." Jesus said. "A girl like that-"
"Hey!" Aaron interrupted.
Paul threw up his hands. "Im just saying! Besides I thought you guys were a thing."
"Well quit saying! And no we aren't."
"Why are you so salty? You like her?" Paul asked.
"What? No."
Gabriel and Jesus looked at him as Aaron walked in silence, looking down at the road.
"She is beautiful isn't she?" He asked.
"Y/n? Hell yeah!" Jesus looked at Aaron like he was insane. "I didn't want to say anything because I thought you two were something, but now that I know you aren't....I might try my luck."
Aaron then tackled Jesus and wrestled him into the dirt. Gabriel stood on the sidelines laughing and the two men fought like boys.

Y/n served up the Mac and cheese and sat down with the girls.
"So, what were you guys up to out there?" Y/n asked.
Judith smiled. "We were drawing."
"I remember doing that with my big brother." Y/n leaned forward. "My drawings were always better."
The girls giggled and pulled out their drawings, Y/n looked at Judith's first. It was dog, the drawing was actually really good.
"Nice job." She said.
Y/n then looked at Gracie's, it was a picture of three people. The smaller one was obviously her, and the taller one was Aaron. She pointed at the woman in the middle.
"Who's this?" She asked.
"That's you."
Gracie's words stunned Y/n, she looked back down at the picture.
"Why am I on there?"
"Because Daddy talks about you all the time. He's always saying how proud of you he is, and how he enjoys spending time with you."
Judith nodded. "I over heard him talking to Mom. He was saying that he trusts you with his life and that he really cares about you."
Gracie smiled. "Only I think he likes you. Like really likes you."
Y/n chuckled at their enthusiasm.
"Well, your dad and I are friends."

Aaron, Jesus, and Gabe began heading back when the sun started to go down. The three all laughed and joked about Y/n and Aaron. Jesus was making sarcastic comments while Gabe was speaking words of wisdom.
"I think you should talk to her." Jesus said. "Have you seen the way she looks at you? The way she blushes when you look at her!"
Gabe turned back to the men. "And that hug." He said. "At the gate, that wasn't any normal hug of friendship. Or as Y/n likes to call it "Foo foo shit", there was a spark in there."
Aaron smiled and looked at the sunset.
"You think there could be something between us?" He asked.
"Definitely." Gabe replied. "Or you'll fuck it up and she'll move to Hill top."

Y/n put Gracie to bed and went downstairs, she began putting the dishes away when Aaron walked through the door.
"I was wondering when the man of the house would get back."
Aaron chuckled and set his knife down on the table. He glanced up the stairs and looked back at Y/n.
"She's sleeping, I took care of your little angel."
Aaron nodded and looked over at the drawings on the table, he picked up the one that had Gracie's name written in the corner.
"Who's this?" He asked looking at the woman in the middle.
"She said it was me....along with a couple of other things."
He looked over to her, she was faced away from him setting a bowl in the cupboard.
"Other things?"
She turned to him and tossed the hand towel over her shoulder.
"You got something to tell me, Aaron?" She asked.
She walked closer and took the paper out of his hand and set it on the table. Y/n grasped his hands and smiled.
"Your little girl told me that her Daddy appreciates my work. And that he talks about me a lot, and that he really likes me...like really likes me." She said in a bold tone.
Aaron smirked. "Well, she isn't lying." He copied her tone of voice.
Y/n smiled again and rose up onto her tippy toes, to where there lips were almost touching.
"So what are we gonna do about that?" She asked.
He leaned in and closed the gap between them, the kiss wasn't rushed, it was slow and loving. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Only stopping when they heard...
"Ew." Come from the staircase.

Wiscara and Aristris relationship in spr is that kind of "sibling rivalry" trope, its not a bad trope by any means if done well.
Unfortunately, pretty much everything in spr is poorly executed.
I dont even know if there was a canon reason for Aristris taking the scissors
My hc was always "aristris salty af" but like when you thinm about it
Imagine your sister being on a first name basis with GOD, like any acomplishments you could ever hope to make would seem a hell of a lot smaller to anything your sister could do
But if you were a villain, you could be known by more people, no matter how awful those achivments are (maybe thats why Aristris is happy when talking abt tretone in the final battle)
I will be the first to admit that this was prolly the shinttiest thing wiscaras done (in my opinion) like he didnt even try to harm you, kidnap you sure, but the only two things that can kill you is the smarmy lake, windmill things (both are out of his mansion) and lava carpet; which by the way Aristris HIMSELF genuinely dosent seem to notice (could just be him being dumb though lol)
Like the guy seems to have taken a pretty big blow to the ego (and hip)
And when the CUMULI start liking your sister over YOU, thats just more salt in the wound.

WOW sorry i took so long to reply this the next sui story already came out (although i haven't read it yet) but i did just finish reading silberneherze and it reminded me of vernal a lot so i finally managed to frame my thoughts(?) also did i review her skin i can't find the post so sorry if i repeat anything ive said before lol anyway
disclaimers: 1) didn't reread before typing this so i prob forgot a load of stuff 2) subjective as hell
Vernal was so aarhhhhgggg not bad but it was so... Traditional Wuxia which I thought I would be happy to read but bruh. they played every trope a bit too straight imo. i think the main thing that stuck with me was the crazy levels of filial piety which isn't a bad thing per se but come on. waaifu's dad. shakes my head i think ya01 should have destroyed him. i think wei should also have been bedridden bare minimum or something from the early encounter just from main story karma. only rat king gets to go scot free cause hes actually a nice dad to lin so i guess it makes sense she's like no no 'i'll continue the family business' i remember reading the story for the first time and being like (woozy emoji) over lin saying she'll take over because it was so.. girl youre probably not even 25 yet and you just put on some heavy af shackles which was so very 'the Right thing to do' great character flaw(?) for someone supposedly morally 'Not Good' i suppose
this avengers ahh looking CG... everytime i think about the context its just SIGH they really just girlies gang up!! and then Ya just 'aight cya' maybe im just salty du yaoye isn't in it and still isn't playable just undercooked as fuck banger image but weak setup and payoff there was no satisfaction to be gained other than 'nice art' (for me)
like... basically every girl in the picture's main motivation in the story is related to some guy which was so zzzzz to chew about when thinking about a bigger picture. actually maybe even every woman even jieyun's teacher i think only lin gets to go off the hook because of that lungwrath scene (probably my fave part of the event) so pathetic... so human... ok i know im bias
Chongyue: honestly i was kinda zzz-ing at the boss fight idk i guess there is a kind of 'damn even now when fighting he's alone lol' but other than that i was just like 'okaaaaay'

leto's dad sucks but he's still at least 50 times better than waaifu's and i feel like degenbrecher is in a similar place where chongyue was except she basically goes idgaf and i enjoyed that very much
and just the littlest thoughts on Here A Peoples Sow (will they fix this title for global) because... funny i said how vernal was so 'traditional'. they literally flipped 男耕女织 (Men Till and Women Weave) basically feudal era? traditional division of labour with Shu and Jie lmaoooo

A collection of pet peeves & behaviours we hate to see in the RPC
#4: Showing interest in interacting doesn't just mean replying to threads
Lately there have been a few PSAs going around, stating that "lack of interaction ≠ lack of interest". This rule is both true and false, depending on one's definition of interactions and interest. I think that it's time to clear up the main points of the matter, to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts.
What are interactions?
If we look at the formal definition of the word, an interaction is defined as a "reciprocal action or influence" and "communication or direct involvement with someone or something".
So, "interacting" basically means reaching out to someone else, in any sort of way. It's not merely answering threads or asks or IMs, it can be something simpler and quicker, as liking a post or sending an ask. It's not just producing content yourself, it's helping others to do so.
I would also like to put an emphasis on the reciprocal part of the first definition, because this aspect is extremely important when it comes to RPing. Writing and interacting with someone is a two-way street. When the effort is one-sided, it becomes tiring and frustrating pretty quickly. No one should be surprised to see others' interest in you waning, when they are constantly doing all the work and making all the efforts.
What is showing interest?
For what concern interest, the word means "the feeling of wanting to know or learn about something or someone".
Once again, there are plenty of ways to show that you are invested in your mutuals' content. It's not necessarily be a constant and loud presence. An ask from time to time or a small comment or even just a like let your writing partners know that you are interested in them and their blog(s).
So, to sum up, how can I interact with others and show interest towards them?
Interacting and showing interest is extremely easy and, in some forms, it takes less than a minute. It takes the same time of reblogging a PSA and it takes much less time than writing a post to say that you're "sorry for the lack of activity / interactions".
If you're busy / if real life and mental health are kicking your ass / if you don't have the energy to do more than lurking / if inspiration has been too flaky to write threads, here's a list of things that you can do to show your mutual that you're still interested in engaging them:
Like their headcanons posts (and optionally leave a comment if you feel like)
Like their edits / art / graphics / things they make (again, if you can, leaving a comment is nice too)
Send them OOC memes (headcanon memes, mun memes, and any IC meme that it's not a starter meme) when you see them posting some
These simple, quick things can reassure your writing partners of your interest more than any PSA about how "lack of interaction ≠ lack of interest".
Take-home message
We all have a life outside the internet, responsibilities, work and / or school, health issues, difficulties of various kinds, and so on. This has, of course, to be respected. However, if you have the time to reblog a PSA or to make a post about how "you're not ignoring people, you're just busy", then you have the time to drop a like on a mutual's post / HC / edit / whatnot or to send in a non-interaction meme.
Being busy IRL is not a valid justification not to do this. It comes off as making excuses for your unwillingness to do the bare minimum and for being lazy.
