I low-key love the fact that sci-fi has so conditioned us to expect to be hanging out with a bunch of cool space aliens, that legitimate, actual scientists keep proposing the most bizarre, three-blunts-into-the-rotation "theories" to explain the fact we're not.
Some of my favourites include:
Zoo Theory: What if there are loads of aliens out there, but they're not talking to us because of the Prime Directive from Star Trek? (Or because they're doing experiments on us???)
Dark Forest Theory: What if there are loads of aliens out there, but they all hate us and each other so they're all just waiting with a shotgun pointed at the door, ready to open fire on anything that moves?
Planetarium Theory: What if there's at least one alien with mastery over light and matter that's just making it seem to us that the universe is empty to us as, like, a joke?
Berserker Theory: What if there were loads of aliens, but one of them made infinite killer robots that murdered everyone and are coming for us next?!!
Like, the universe is at least 13,700,000,000 years old and 46,000,000,000 light years big. We have had the ability to transmit and receive signals for, what, 100 years, and our signals have so far travelled 200 light years?
The fact is biological life almost certainly has, does, or will develop elsewhere in the universe, and it's not impossible that a tiny amount of it has, does, or will develop in a way that we would understand as "intelligent". But, like, we're realistically never going to know because of the scale of the things involved.
So I'm proposing my own hypothesis. I call it the "Fool in a Field" hypothesis. It goes like this:
Humanity is a guy standing in the middle of a field at midnight. It's pitch black, he can't move, and he's been standing there for ages. He's just had the thought to swing his arms. He swings one of his arms, once, and does not hit another person. "Oh no!" He says. "Robots have killed them all!"

oh my fucking god i feel. SO stupid rn at How i didnt make the (super sane very normal just absolutely. Yes. Surely) connection earlier but uhh
so anyway im now like 89% certain that whatever the "traces" of the narwhal that remain on ajax and facilitate their (ever-growing) innate connection are like. an actually fundamental aspect of it (them?) more or less.
why? because if you consider its pov just for a moment. the narwhal was literally about to depart teyvat for good. it had nearly finished consuming the primordial sea and preparing to breach surface to finish the job by eating the french for the leftovers their human bodies were made from. its an interstellar voyager it does not linger on planets it devours. it goes glug glug and it leaves.
and like if it wasnt for traveler intervening its confirmed through narzissenkreuz and renes world formula that teyvat wouldve just been destroyed. no one could have stopped the narwhal not neuvillette not focalors not anyone.
so what was the one other thing it did right before going for that french brunch? calling for ajax. getting them reunited in the primordial sea. like all the possible implications aside bc theres many different ways to speculate on the exact reasons why and the nature of that link. the point remains.
it wasnt leaving teyvat without finding him.
like the narwhal is about to fucking Dip from this cringe planet and whatever part of it that ajax carries within himself his narwhal Absolutely wanted to be reunited with. what the fuck am i supposed to read from that. hoyo???????!??! answers?!?!?!
and its not only the calling from the narwhal side itself either bc this is ALL coinciding with the growth of a 'restless power' within ajax and his vision malfunctioning (the things celestia is literally confirmed to harvest energy thru to repair its damaged authority) and his connection with the narwhal reaching an actual conscious level (arguably subconscious n emotional too bc i find it Curious his mood is poor right as the narwhal is repeatedly described as positively malding to the point its boss fight mechanic is literally a rage meter). ajax' power is growing. his destiny is starting to shift and something is drawing him to fontaine... right as the narwhal is getting close to finished with the primordial sea. funny how it overlaps eh. how it aligns 🤨🤨 why are they orbiting each other like this (they should kiss)
(& not to even Mention how ajax just Happened to get that absolutely exponential and borderline unbelievable feat of power spike in extending his foul legacy endurance as massively as he did. while. within the primordial sea. with his narwhal. who had at that point all but incorporated the power of that sea into itself. i s2g if childe was getting passive home turf co-op bonus exp with a 4x multiplier automatically the whole 40+ days 💀💀)
#man the way its lovely reunion but tjen ajax fucking ATTACKS IT ON SIGHT you couldve gotten married!!!!11!1 fucking unbearable i am in agony#anyway contrary to popular belief we still have no fucking clue whether ajax' link to the narwhal was innate#skirk saying the traces remain on him after meeting it isnt saying tht much. the parts he shares w it couldve well been innate but dormant#instead. also just the fact that he woke it up already shady#then like. monoceros caeli being his from the beginning is completely plausible despite ppl acting like its been confirmed his const change#and like them being halves of the same entity on some lvl would make the narwhal being so weak without him n until ajax found it again#make very much. sense. anyway ajax toxicity jokes aside if the narwhal was just trying to eat him point blank without even a hello#i do get why hed react aggressively. but also bros been telling everyone n their mom hes fighting his narwhal the seconf he finds it again😔#so i feel somewhat confident in assuming he started that 40+ days brawl#anyway if ajax Isnt the celestial narwhal on some level or possibly becoming it as their link grows.#riddle me this atheists. why is his 3rd phase boss theme. the song about His individual murderous rage at us#bc he thought he was outplayed by us. His personal wrath#whys the song for that called the wrath of the celestial narwhal. of the star swallowing whale. Hmmmge. his individual rage.#why does tusk of monoceros caeli speak of him embracing the narwhals innate qualities as embracing mere parts of Himself#funny how tjat goes!! (the OST n boss drop is not 100% serious theory but it does drive me insane. bc why would they phrase it like that)#anyway either theyre 2 halves same original entity or theyre soulmates idgaf . they should fold teyvat in half and eat it for brunch#aaand im going to be consumed by this realization for the next month wish me luck#WHY DID IT NEED HIM THERE SO BADLY???? HUH??????#i mean relatable dont we all. but its sooooooooo inch resting. Curious indeed#rambles#genshin#childeposting#childe#narwhalposting

okay i just made up an extremely scatterbrained theory about scu lore and the owl tribe and i need to see what you guys think
[it hasnt actually been stated in either of the movies whether or not mobius is a thing so im just working under the assumption sonic tails knuckles etc are from mobius
im sure this theory has been thrown around before but like - what if the owl tribe and longclaw arent from mobius. like obviously the first movie starts on mobius, cause its literally green hill zone (which id assume is on mobius) and is where sonic lives and was likely born, but i dont think this is where the owls or longclaw originally came from.
the biggest thing that prompted this rant is longclaw’s design. afaik there hasnt been a mobian owl before so obviously there’s nothing to compare her to directly, but comparing her to other birds weve seen - like the babylon rogues - she looks very out of place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
like just look at her next to the rogues. she doesnt look mobian. and i get that creative liberties need to be taken in film adaptations, but the difference between her design and mobian birds weve seen in the past are massive.
this difference in design got me thinking about the actual lore behind the owl tribe, and how that may affect the likelihood of longclaw being mobian. all we really know about the owl tribe (i.e what i can remember off the top of my head) is that they and the echidna tribe have master emerald related beef dating back centuries and that they purposely hid the master emerald where the echidnas couldnt find it - on earth. while this isnt a whole lot of information, we can determine from it that the owls are able to traverse different worlds with ease, presumably with the rings. and not only did they hide the master emerald, they built an entire booby-trapped temple for it and hid the way to find it in another temple.
clearly the owls are proficient at interstellar travel - we see more evidence of this with the map longclaw gives sonic.
Tumblr media
we can see 8 different planet symbols on this map, nine if you count the symbol in the middle. the owl tribe, or at the very least longclaw, know of several distant planets enough to determine which ones are safe for a fast as fuck, possibly chaos energy infused, blue hedgehog. its safe to assume that the owl’s list of all planets is massive - and what kind of civilisation with that much knowledge on distant planets and a viable means to reach them wouldnt branch out their territory a bit?
what im saying is, from the evidence provided, i dont think it would be a stretch to say that longclaw isnt actually from mobius, but instead another unnamed planet that the owls simply know of and mightve expanded to - which begs the question: why are the owls (or more specifiaclly, longclaw) on mobius in the first place? my guess is because of sonic. in the second movie, sonic is said to be the key to finding the master emerald (albeit likely because he was seemingly raised by a member of the owl tribe) and is said to get his powers from chaos energy in the novelisation of the movie. because of this, i think its safe to say that the reason longclaw is even on mobius in the first place is to protect sonic and ensure the future protection of the master emerald (she probably would have eventually told sonic about the emerald if they hadnt been ambushed by the echidna tribe so early on).
to conclude this textwall of a ramble, i dont think the owls are from mobius. from what i can recall, theres enough evidence to suggest that they arent mobian, and they also just... dont look like they are. if anyone remembers anything else relating to the owl tribe please lmk, i dont want to have missed anything relevant

man i hate that whole “we know more about space than the ocean!!” thing for so many reasons
1. on an emotional level. why are you pitting two bad bitches against one another? why must you try to make one or the other seem more mysterious/scary and thus more interesting? can’t we be equally in awe over both?
2. on a rational level. we do not know much more about space?? in terms of raw amount of Things then sure maybe that’s true but i feel like we can set up a percentage here. space is fucking huge, people. i cannot explain in words just how big it is and the number itself is unfathomably large. i cannot underscore this enough. so i think setting up a known:unknown ratio would make our knowledge of outer space equally as low as the ocean, if not even less. so if you were to try to make one more mysterious than the other, like, i think ignoring this crucial aspect is a bit unfair
3. this isn’t even touching on the fact that like. the NATURE of unknown things is also wildly fucking different. the ocean, while unknown, is on our own planet - that gives a certain familiarity to anything that we DO NOT have about space. even if we find some absolutely weird shit in the ocean its still going to be like, inherently tied to us by nature of sharing a planet. but outer space has no guarantee of anything. literally we do not fucking know what is out there and we are also limited by physical access. it’s reasonable to assume that as time goes on technology will improve to make deep ocean exploration and research more viable. and the same can be said of space too but i think like, eventually being able to map the entire ocean floor, is a lot different than “being able to visit a nearby planet” in that there is still an entire damn universe out there that we will, honestly, never be able to explore or see for ourselves. if we have any possibility at all of interstellar travel it will require HUGE, nigh miraculous, leaps in technology that deep ocean exploration does not require lol. nevermind that this is just for nearby stars - i honestly do not think we will ever be capable of interstellar travel to much larger distances like across the milky way, not even in the most optimistic of scenarios, nevermind INTERGALATIC travel. the very laws of physics are against us here. so what im saying is that its reasonable to assume that within the next 100 or so years we will be able to physically explore the deep ocean much better than we can now, but literally never in even a billion years will we be able to physically explore deep space. so the scale of what “unknown” even entails is vastly different here
4. now i acknowledge i am biased here as an astronomer LOL so this has come across as very anti deep ocean. but like . despite all of this. again, why must we pit them against each other? i think it’s asinine to try to compare something that exists in our backyard to something that we are literally bound by the laws of physics to never be able to reach - but that doesn’t mean that like, the value of research is any less? can we not just explore for knowledge’s sake? why must we try to make the deep ocean out to be better than deep space in order to justify further research and exploration? i truly hate this phenomenon that we cant just research things for research sake, there must be some sort of justification for it, either by the trickle down technological boon it provides to society as a whole or by appealing to how “cool” it is. it’s fucked up. basing research on these standards instead of just the pursuit of knowledge makes the direction of research privy to outsider decisions (the government, non-expert public opinion, etc) instead of the experts themselves deciding the best path of future research. and it just betrays the nature of science i feel like. i think that people who dedicate their entire lives to 100 species of nigh identical bugs contribute just as much to the advancement of science and human collective knowledge as cosmologists who dedicate their lives to modeling the evolution of the universe. literally all research is important and should be valued inherently instead of just what people outside of the field deems “cool”. so tl;dr, pitting the deep ocean vs deep space against each other in order to make the ocean seem “cooler” to justify research into it is just the absolute wrong approach here. they are fundamentally incomparable and they shouldnt have to be compared in order to explain either one’s value to scientific research

Membrane x Sleep Deprived! Male! Reader (fluff)
Outside POV:
Professor Membrane was the leading force of a scientific renaissance. He had found the barrier preventing humanity to travel beyond the horizon line. And he crushed it. Interstellar travel was now possible for humankind. Membrane was a person that would go down in the history books.
His dear friend, (Y/N), was a first responder—more specifically, an EMT. While it wasn't as important to the world as Membrane was, it was certainly more stressful. Everyday you could get called to respond to a sore throat or a burn victim. After witnessing his first death on job, it definitely took a toll on their psyche.
Watching a complete stranger is one thing. Having to try and stop the blood loss that was caused by some idiot getting impaled, however...
As a result, he often had sleepless nights. Whether it be from rushing to get someone to a hospital or the guilt that came with the failure was anybody's guess.
Membrane new this was bad for (Y/N), but what could he say to him? That enjoying your own life was more important than the loss of multiple? Of course not that sounds insensitive. But Membrane often spoke bluntly and could never find a better way to phrase it. So he kept quiet.
Until one day where (Y/N) called him near midnight. His speech was slightly slurred and Membrane could hear the tired drunkenness in their voice.
"Heyy Professor~" (Y/N) drawled. This was going to be a long night.
"Yes, (Y/N)?"
"I knoww we doon't talk much anymorre, but, uhhh, could you? pick me up toniight?" Membrane sighed before asking for the address.
He hastily got into his car and drove over to get (Y/N). He was so irresponsible. How did he even manage to make it through the day if he can barely stay awake half the time?
It was a desolate drive towards the bar (Y/N) was at. Even his favorite music didn't help distract him from his thoughts. He didn't take (Y/N) for a drinker, but he was wrong about lots of things when it came to people. He dealt with space. Not people.
"-And thassss my ride!" (Y/N) howled to a group of drunks that were with him. A strong red flushed his cheeks. "Bye guyssss! Au revoir!!" They cheered him on as he stumbled into Membrane's car.
"WHA- SHOTGUN!!" He jumped into the seat next to the driver as he uselessly fumbled with the seatbelt. With a tired sigh, Membrane buckled him in. "Thaaank youu, babyyyy!!"
As much as that was cute, he couldn't laugh. (Y/N) was in a drunken stupor. But then again, a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts. Membrane blushed at the thought. 'No no, that's ridiculous' he thought.
"You're going home." He spike in a stern tone, like a mother scolding her child. (Y/N) deeply frowned, crossed his arms, and puffed out his cheeks, like a little kid. He was probably imagining a ninja running on top of the buildings they passed like one too. He always was childish. Membrane liked that in him. He could somehow have such a bubbly personality despite the threat of death looming over his hands.
'How would he act if he wasn't tired?' Membrane wondered. Every time they had managed to see each other, (Y/N) had his hair pulled back (guys with long-shoulder length hair, y'all are so valid. Y'all get a ponytail/bun if you want lol) with dark circles under his eyes. And every time, he was chugging coffee. Black, apparently. As an EMT, he probably never got any true sleep.
"Heyyy, Professsorrr, we're hooome," a sleepy voice called out. Membrane realized that he drove all the way home without noticing. Muttering useless formalities, he stepped out of the car and carried his friend into the house.
"You knoow... you're face is soo cuute~" Membrane blushed.
"Come on, (Y/N), let's get you to bed." (Y/N) groaned. He didn't want to go to bed yet. He didn't want Membrane to leave before he fulfilled his promise.
~FLAAAAASHBAAACK~
At the bar, (Y/N) was speaking with his usual drinking buddies—the hopeless drunks that would listen to him and entertain his fantasies. Anything was possible to them. Fuck, some of them drunk absinthe.
"Guyss, I got a prroblemm." This peaked their attention. One of them, Stanley, asked what was eating him.
"Soo, I got a crushh on my neighborrr. Annnd I don' know how to tell 'im. " (Y/N) paused, "Like,,, I don't even think he likes be baack, but I GOTTA KNOWW!"
Tom, the most drunk (unsurprisingly), slurred a response. "Jussss' tell him!! What could go wRong???" A goofy smile was plastered on his face.
Richard, the least drunk and the one that was making sure they didn't do anymore things they'd regret, started listing off a bunch of things that can (and will) go wrong.
(Y/N) didn't pay attention. Tom had a pretty good point.
"II GOT THISSS!! IMA TELL 'IM" (Y/N) got out his phone and called Membrane.  Everyone at the table went quiet.
After a few dial tones, he responded.
"Heyy Professor~" (Y/N) slurred. Richard's eyes widened while Stanley and Tom were making dick jokes. Of course.
"Yes, (Y/N)?"
"I knoww we doon't talk much anymorre, but, uhhh, could you? pick me up toniight?" He begrudgingly asked for the address and said he would be there soon.
Cheers erupted from the small group. It was a simple task, but it was done nonetheless.
~FLAAAAASHBAAACK~
"Professorrrr!" He called out. Membrane turned towards him as he turned to key to (Y/N)'s apartment.
"What?" He sounded tired. (Y/N)'s smile faltered at his crush's tone.
"Could you... could you stay over?" It was spoken with such clarity that Membrane actually gasped. (Y/N) peered up at him. 'Dammit He was using the puppy-dog-eyes.'
"I-I guess." (Y/N) smiled up at Membrane; it was a purity you wouldn't expect from him. The flustered scientist looked away, but a light pink peaked out from under his collar.
He guided the drunken man to his bed. (Y/N) made grabbing motions towards him. He wanted Membrane to stay with him.
Membrane ignored it and went into the kitchen. A distant whine was heard as he set out some Advil for the next day. He walked back into the room and the tired man beamed.
"Come!" Membrane chuckled, and sat next to (Y/N) on the bed.
"Hey, guess what."
"Hm?"
"I like you." Membrane's face flushed a bright crimson. (Y/N) likes him? No, no, no, he's drunk. He doesn't know what he's saying.
Then Membrane was kissed on the lips. It was short, but filled with passion. (Y/N)'s lips tasted like brandy.
"Good night professorrr~" he sleepily said. He felt arms wrap around him as he slowly lost consciousness.
—-——————————————————
(Y/N) woke up with a massive hangover. He groaned in pain as he clutched his head. He looked around and was surprised to find he was in his own bed. And even more surprised to see his crush clinging onto his torso. Membrane stirred in his sleep, cuddling closer. (Y/N) smiled.
Membrane suddenly whispered into his skin, "You said some interesting things last night."
He tried to recall what happened, but everything was hazy. "What happened?"
Membrane sat up and pulled (Y/N) into a tender kiss.
He pulled away from a shocked (Y/N). "I love you too."

An Analysis on Sentients
cuz why not, they’re my favorite bad guy faction cuz they’re so alien and interesting. granted some of the shit we find out sorta demystifies them, but i still like em
so back in the very start, a given Archimedian, which i think is an Orokin term for scientist, named Perintol created a type of terraforming machine, its base form was a black star-shaped entity, no bigger than a hand. it looked rather simple, seamless, and matte. its insides looked gelatinous and glossy. its designed with the ability to change its physical properties on a level microscopic if not molecular. this would be useful because they were to be used to reach and Terraform Tau, the journey to which is described as perilous.
the Terraforming Machines would collectively travel the path, adapting and propogating environment around them as they go, with the specific purpose of not only making the Tau system habitable for the Orokin, or rather, the humans, but they would also build an interstellar rail with which the humans would travel to Tau.
based on the Mag Prime lore, we know that the Terraforming Machines at least finished the interstellar rail. and the Terraforming machines adapted to such an extent that they evolved...and they evolved to such an extent that they literally became sentient, self aware, thinking machines.
and whats especially remarkable is the fact that they are, in some odd form, alive. they went from being dynamic adaptive machines to thinking and living machines, quite comparable to the potential positive outcome of the Geth in Mass Effect 3.
the machinery that makes Sentients function is exactly the same as when they were simple Terraforming machines, the only difference is the forms they take. they are physically diverse and regulated by a unique life force. considering the terminology Hunhow uses, each distinct unit is considered a piece of a full Sentient body. but at the same time, that body is commanded as though the individual units are drones and thus require direction by a host or “regent” of sorts.
every Sentient unit is linked to a regent. and every regent is linked to a singular master regent, which im assuming is the Sentient Mother that Natah mentions. Hunhow is the regent to all that comprises his body, including Natah, who is a regent herself. because of this, he can invade her thoughts. however because of Natah’s own regent status, i dont think her mind can be overriden indirectly, specifically indirectly. then again, it could simply require a powerful regent to perform such a thing.
its not very easy to know all the things a Sentient can possibly do, but one thing they absolutely cannot do is adapt to the properties of the Void. Archimedian Perintol put in this flaw as a safety measure, because he knew that such an adaptive machine could evolve to intelligence, which is something that the Orokin forbade. so no matter how hard they try, the Void would always compromise their structures. but whats interesting about this is that not only is the void poison to Sentients, it also makes them sterile, incapable of further propogating. for beings that can travel the Cephalon Weave(which is the digital network of the Cephalons), this is a very odd flaw to have.
so at some point during their Sentient status, they learned that the Orokin were responsible for the bad state of the Origin System, whatever that be. and they concluded that the Orokin would bring ruin to the Tau System as well, the place that the Sentients call their home. it is unknown if a prior conflict transpired, but either way, the Sentients went to war with the Orokin. its likely that they attacked first. and seeing that they now have to fight, the Sentient regents reconfigured their bodies for war.
speaking of which, thats how Sentients carry out tasks. they reconfigure themselves to be fit for such tasks; a Battalyst cannot do the things a Conculyst can. and there might be constraints to what configurations regents can conjure up. for example, there is yet no evidence suggesting that Hunhow knows how to configure Mimics or Teralysts, not to mention the form of the dead tower-size regent outside the plains. this is not to say that he is incapable of learning.
so the Sentients are at war with the Orokin. they sent their regents through the rail into the Origin System to battle, this unfortunately rendered them sterile. but they continued to slaughter the human forces. then the scales tilted in the favor of the Orokin when they unleashed the Tenno.
as revealed in The Sacrifice, Ballas had been conspiring with Hunhow, who was likely leading the other regents in the war. Hunhow knew about the secret of the Tenno. so he forms a plan to use the Tenno to destroy the Orokin, and then the Tenno. he used one of his offspring, a Mimic specialist named Natah to infiltrate the Orokin ranks, likely with help from Ballas. she is reconfigured not only in form, but identity as well. she becomes the Lotus, guide to the Tenno. she was placed somewhere in Lua.
Hunhow allowed himself and his forces to be destroyed, to give the Orokin a false sense of victory, a sense that the threat was over. considering that he could neither recover nor replace the fragments he lost due to his sterility, this was a very hefty sacrifice, even for them. his remains were sealed in a tomb in the oceans of Uranus. however he only feigned death; his life force was never completely destroyed, and there was enough living mass left of him.
System are either all destroyed or driven out back to Tau. and humanity celebrates. but Lotus, still following her original directive, gets the Tenno to kill off the Orokin for good. she was supposed to then silence the Tenno as well, but i guess her Lotus identity compromised the identity of Natah, and she betrayed her race as a consequence.
so the Lotus recalls the Tenno faction while another regent drops down on Earth to decimate Orokin establishments, resulting in a conflict with Gara and the Unum, from the telling of this story, we the players learn that Sentients are weak to sunlight and radiation, and that kuva can make sterile Sentients fertile.
this regent attempts to consume the kuva of the Unum but Gara sacrifices herself to destroy the regent’s mind. all of its body falls upon the plains, the material properties of which being altered by the terraforming attributes of the pieces.
even though the regent is dead, his life force is still present within the pieces of his body. a given warframe was assigned to stand guard and make sure this life force doesnt arise again, but it overwhelmed the warframe and consumed it, turning it into Revenant. and with Revenant out of the picture, the life force was free to manifest, reanimating a broken Teralyst corpse and a bunch of supporting Vomvalysts. these are ghosts...zombies...shadows of what they once were, and are thus dubbed Eidolons.
one thing that ive noted about the Teralyst variants at least is that, while they are autonamous, they are not actually aware. unlike the Teralysts, the Vomvalysts actually can attack you directly with intent. none of the Teralyst’s attacks are direct, except for homing-based ones. its a brain-dead entity swiping at flies. its able to perform its given functions, but it’s not coordinated at all. it wanders with no specific destination, and it attacks no specific target. its missing its regent. it doesnt know that, but it does feel that something is missing. compare that to the Ropalolyst, who knows what its trying to kill, who knows that it exists to watch over the gas city.
i wonder though, is it possible for one regent to claim the remnants of another. could Hunhow perhaps link up with and become a host to the wandering Eidolons? it would be an interesting idea.
so time passes and the events of the game happen. being that as a Sentient, Hunhow can configure his body parts to whatever is necessary, he forges armor and a sword for the Stalker, not only granting him Sentient abilities but also allowing Hunhow to speak to him via the sword so they can do their tenno murdering together. its implied that Hunhow’s mind is housed in the sword itself, which is peculiar since the Stalker, with Hunhow, was in the void. but also, when the warframe broke the War, Hunhow disappeared for a time.
by Octavia’s Anthem, it’s revealed that he hid within the Cephalon Weave. i find this rather odd; if it is so that his mind was completely separate from his body, then that brings Sentient meta into question. if a regent can move his mind anywhere else, even if it contradicts proximity, then there’s something to the Sentients we just dont know yet, it implies that their links are metaphysical. Hunhow, while being directly in the Weave, used a cephalon to protect his fragments...who were in the friggin Void, the interdimensional hellspace of the story...he was even able to manipulate the Weave such that he made Datalysts. its known that Sentients can control technology, but this is overpowered as hell. the whole linking aspect is one thing, but they can link to Sentients IN THE VOID FROM WARFRAME CYBERSPACE.
we know Hunhow is purged from the Weave but we currently dont know if he’s alive or dead. but Natah, that’s a weird one. she was in Lua, which she had(as Lotus) moved to the Void. we dont know if her chamber had some sort of protective aspect that kept her alive, or if Lua simply had properties that didnt follow the rules. but either way Natah, as Lotus, remained unharmed for some reason.
but more than that, she is a Mimic-based regent. her particular form was such that it could imitate the likeness of humans. now whether or not this was on a molecular level is worthy of debate, but its clear that she had the spitting image of Margulis. that is extremely efficient. what if Natah had the power to assimilate Warframes and Tenno? that would be very scary. she tricked the Tenno, Ballas, and Alad already. what more is she capable of?
well i guess she is capable of turning organic matter into Sentient matter, as evidenced by Ballas’s current state. and not only that, the Sentient part of Ballas obeys Natah’s command, and so she uses Ballas as a watcher and seeing through his eyes. Natah also partnered with Alad V to create the hybrid Amalgams, a possible future for the Sentient race, one that is unburdened by the weakness to the Void. if it isnt clear already, Sentients are dangerous.
and to add to that, the master regent, the Mother that Natah mentions, is a living ship outpost that can consume debris and probably convert it into more Sentient mass. so the Mother is not only a ship, its a factory. one of the things it has built is the Ropalolist. and it was likely through Natah’s knowledge of the Tenno and warframes that it was configured to negate warframe abilities. thats insane. whats even more insane is that the Ropalolist that we fight is only a means for Natah to assess our threat level. there are probably worse things to look forward to in Tau, such as Teralysts that ARENT Eidolons.
so to summarize, Sentients are a mistake. its a shame that the only Sentient that was on our side is now against us. unless we can unite the factions or perhaps even get Man in the Wall to help us, we’re probably fucked when The New War drops.

Insight: Mewt Keys- Happiness EP.01
Well, shit… I just want to talk, so I’m just going to talk.
I don’t have anyone at the moment to talk to, so i’ll just type it out and post it and see what happens from there.
I don’t remember the exact day or time or what, all the important things are missing from my memory.  Sorry.
Ive been working on a string of songs lately and this has got me thinking about what I actually want to convey with this pseudo album. I say pseudo album because I’m starting to think that working on albums right now, in my current condition and un popularity in the music scene, would not benefit me. I say this because it doesn’t do me any good to put all this work into albums when no one is listening to it. Doesn’t mean no one is ever going to listen to it, eventually (I hope) people will come around, but at this moment I need to focus on getting the people here.
So i’ll have this little piece of literature or whatever this is, to fill in the gaps where you can look into it and put two and two together pertaining to my music.
Let’s Talk about the first four songs ill be releasing ( have released??)
Most of these will be connected and have a story behind them and what that story really is.
Wrinkle In Time:
So, I started writing this song back in August 2019. I had just started getting into the synth wave thing and I’d say that I was fairly good at it but I wasn’t hitting it the way I was hitting house music. Theres another song that I started at this time and that song is “You” thats actually dubbed, “The Next Com Truise” because at the time that’s what I was shooting for and I never really listened to synth wave really aside from Com. So Com is the only artist I know that makes this kind of music. I know, I know… there’s tons of great synth wave artist. What I’m saying is, I only know Com Truise.
The only thing that stayed the same in Wrinkle is the beating pad that plays from start to finish of the track. Sounds almost like an oceans waves rushing up to shore and i like to think that the ocean is full of mysteries.
The name came from Madeleine L’engles novel, “Wrinkle in Time.”
(Duhhh…)
But the reason why I chose this name is because of the actual story itself, not so much the story of the book but what it actually gets at. The ability to traverse time and space. There are a handful of books and movies i’d say that influence me to this degree and thats Interstellar (movie), Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and Wrinkle In Time, Timecop and this other movie where he kills people that were sent back in time from the future.( I honestly don’t remember the name of the movie.) The power to traverse space and time. The power that that gives you is insane when you really begin to think about it.
I often think about what i’d do if I could go back in time or travel to an alternate universe. Would you do things differently? I mean if you went back in time, we often don’t think that we could possibly relive our teens when we’re in our late 40’s. Let’s just say that if I traveled back to when I was fifteen, would I also be fifteen? This idea was planted in me after reading Dark Matter.
This is about going back in time to that day.
This is about going to a different dimension.
This is about the alternate universe.
This is about you.
The short vocal chops that drone on throughout the song constantly chant, “Not out there. Anywhere,” and, “She’s not out there. She’s not anywhere.”
The choice in these words was influenced by Blake Crouch’s Dark Matter being in that the main characters sets out to find his wife and son in an endless sea of universes, often times running into versions of his wife that never existed, never was and never will be. We see the character break and crumble after constant failure. I think this is what stuck out to me the most of this novel.
In L’Engle’s Wrinkle novel, this feeling was reinforced due to its similarities, but somewhat more fantasy based world had more of a lighthearted touch.
Im not sure but I think the book was for kids or young adults (I’m guessing that means Teens), so it doesn’t hit as hard as maybe it would possibly hit a kid. Also I’ve heard the movie sucked ass so I won’t be watching it at all.
The arppegiator that plays on the drop I built on serum and its called tesseract. Though you won’t know that unless you’re reading this. It’s you being taken to another time. it’s what traveling time might sound like.
The next songs are all that you might experience in your journeys.
You:
As mentioned above, You, is my introduction into the genre but I think is one of my more solid arranged tracks so far. I really didn’t have direction when I was working on these songs, I just want to make something a bit more playful and colorful than I had been doing with my House shit. The dubbed name of, “The Next Com Truise” came about because I actually thought this was going to make me stick out more in the music scene and somehow I’d be just a great or even better than Com Truise, which I think about now and have to disagree. Im even worried in the sense that people may think I’m just a rip off or copy cat version of him and his music, which scares me a bit because I do love his music but I don’t want to be considered a replica of something that is already great therefore would make me average or mediocre at best.
I want you to listen to my music and think, “This sounds familiar.” But stay because I’ve brought something to the table thats differed from other artist’s in the genre. If I have brought something different. I can’t be the judge of that.
I would consider this song to be sad but I’ve heard a lot of people just mention that the whole of these songs is just super chill and nothing too sad. I think at times, for the most part, people need to hear it through lyrics for sadness to translate well with the listener… Or maybe I just suck ass at translating that emotion through synths… I could be at blame here.
I wrote it to be a sad song.
I would say I’m generally a sad person. I don’t think it’s one of those things people do to be trendy or to have an excuse at being lazy or whatever the reasons are. I think I’m just a sad person. So when the name of the song is called, “You” I really mean me. I noticed I did this a lot throughout these group of songs, where I say you but I’m really talking about myself. I mean it in a way as in you as in me not you as in you, if that makes any sense. I hope I described that well enough for you to understand what I mean. I’m referring to the self.
There aren’t any lyrics to this song but I definitely play around with the idea. I wouldn’t mind adding some phrases or words into it, but I can never really catch on to anything. A part of me thinks maybe it’s because the song is done the way it is and it’s always been finished.
I guess…
Selver:
Im not going to spoil the whole story behind this one, so if you want to know, I suggest you go and read Ursula K. Le Guin’s novel, The Word For World Is Forest.
I had originally dubbed this track Outside, because the name fit but as I continued to write and work the track out, I was reminded of a forest and that forest was that of Selver’s home and planet. The version that was released, is different from what I had initially planned. Though I cant say which one I enjoyed more. If you do know of this novel or do read into it, let me know what you think. I’m always up for talking shop.
Maria:
This one I had named from the start and knew what I wanted to do with it from the beginning.
I wanted to talk about something that had been bothering me for a long time, but to be fair, I had also been asking for this to happen for a long time.
So i’ll get down to the core of the song instead of talking about exactly where this song came from instead.
I’ve often held on to the memory of less important things than those of importance, which is strange because you’d think a person would retain memories that made them happy rather than sad. I’m going on a whim here, I’m not sure if this is true, but at least in me I find that I hold on to memories that I find nostalgic, wether those be sad or happy and I’m not sure where this one sits, maybe somewhere in the middle. Importance usually has no play in if i remember or not.
Im trying to be honest with you guys, without exposing my true self to anyone who stops by and read this, whatever this is.
Im trying really hard to say goodbye to these memories and I think when I make songs like this I make it harder for myself to let go which drives me insane because I would love to just pour my heart and soul into this type of work, dust my hands off and move on to the next thing. But things don’t work that way with me.
With its chords and weird sounds constantly floating in and out, I tried to covey some sort of haze, like a dream. What inspired me to do this was a scene from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, where Snake is inside the A.I. pod pulling memory board from the unit and with each pulled board, the voice of The Boss is rambling on and on about lazy foxes and Japanese train stations. Where this gets me more is towards the end where she begins to call to Snake as, “John”.
Her voice slowly deteriorating.
This leads me to where I am now.
I had a friend like that, at least I would like to think so.
The first words I added were, “Are you feeling down? Take a potion or two. You’ve been lost for a few.”
I added this because this friend to me was a helpful and in a way an oasis of peace with often words of advice and comfort.
I don’t think at any point of our friendship she took a selfish stance towards me for her own personal gain.
I thank you for that.
“On my way. . . Not today.”
A slow curve. This was caused by me.
There were plenty of times where I had failed to commit to my promises.
“It’s been a while. Hey, it’s been a while. The last time you were off to bed, I got lost on my way but now I’ve been found.”
It really has been a while. I think this song is important for two reasons, it’s been a long time and it’s time to say goodbye. I think, at some point people need to let go and move on. After a while, I think this type of mentality is unhealthy and somewhat creepy. Im not say this person and I were romantically interested in each other but I don’t think it makes a difference at this point. The way I see this, or the way I would like to think I wrote this is that I let this person down.
Me going, “off to bed,” symbolized me being unaware. Falling asleep. My way of dealing with problems in real life is often sleeping, and we all know that that doesn’t absolutely nothing to change our situation. It only postpones it.
“I got lost on my way but now I’ve been found.”
Though she never let me lose sight, I failed to help. Someone else helped her and it wasn’t me.
“Are you feeling down? Feet off the ground? Take a potion of two, you’ve been lost for a few.”
Of course this a personal attack on myself. When feeling down, I often lose myself in fantasy. In a make believe world. Im floating around on auto-pilot and i’m not really there at all.
Often fantasizing about things that make no sense or things that aren’t, I’m not saying I sit around all day thinking about women. I sit around all day failing to accept things for what they are, often blaming others or things but never myself.
At this point in the song, things take a more calm favor.
What Maria is saying is self explanatory.
A lot of outside influence worked their way into this song alone. I’d say that this song is by far my favorite and there’s reason behind it. For one, I’m being honest artistically here. Im not hiding so much behind songs like Selver and Lemon Tree or even Ub!K.
Songs like Goodbye From Famicom Sessions, Lighthearted Farewell and Cosmic Interlude played a role in the creation of this song.
I really wanted to tell you that this song, is about something real that happened to me and maybe you’ve been there, maybe you will be there or maybe you won’t ever experience what I’m talking about here but either way I just thought i’d share with you, whoever you are that’s reading this.
This year I plan to work on a lot more releases like this and giving little bits of insight. Im lining up the next set of four songs to be released. I plan to be more honest with my words.
It’s time to let go and say goodbye.

its weird bc as a kid i was terrified of dying solely because i was terrified of pain and injury, and i knew that it was pretty rare to die peacefully of old age in your sleep. then there was a period of time where i actually didn’t care, i wasn’t scared of death at all (in the abstract, i’m sure if i did get into a life threatening situation i’d be scared lol)
but now it’s like. ok im scared of dying again <3 but purely because of like, the afterlife. on a logical level, i feel like there’s nothing after death. life is just a brief miracle of nature, a strange phenomenon that ends after x many years, and then it’s over and the world goes on without you. that all our stories of the afterlife are all just, stories to make ourselves feel better, when in reality nothing happens. one minute you exist, the next minute you don’t. the thought of just, not existing like that is terrifying
but the Raised Catholic in me is also still struggling with like, that shit, and the fact that after years of sin and outright resenting god, i’m definitely going to hell, and that small Raised Catholic part of me still exists deep down. and i’m just, terrified that maybe i am wrong, maybe there is a heaven and there is a hell, and i’m definitely going to hell, and there’s that old sick godfear that fucked me up so much as a kid and it’s just terrifying to think that maybe when i’m gone, all i’ll have is pure pain and terror and suffering for the rest of time
so like, what’s more terrifying? nonexistence or suffering? i feel like objectively nonexistence is the better outcome but it still is so so terrifying to me. to think of the people i’ve lost, how we mourn them and say “they’re in a better place now,” how my catholic family members pray over them and believe 100% that said person is enjoying heaven as we speak, to think that that’s all just, not happening, that they no longer exist in any form now even though we pretend they do? it’s so sad and the thought of it happening to me one day is so. GHGUGHFHD
my ideal afterlife would honestly be to just. be a silent observer. i’d love to just be able to spectate, to watch the world as it moves on without me. i so desperately want to see how humanity progresses in the future, i so desperately want to see when we make first contact with aliens, when we first begin interstellar travel, if we ever make it past our current social ills. hell i’d even like to go observe the past, to see how ancient peoples lived not through the lens of a single paragraph in a textbook, in in their actual lived experiences day by day. i want to see and observe so many things that just are not possible either because i’m in the wrong place, the wrong time, or both
