Country of Cajun

Hallo Allemaal! categorie B is deze week weer aan de beurt. Dat betekent dat we moeten kiezen tussen een dilemma. Het dilemma is country of cajun. Country is de verzamelnaam voor verschillende muziekstijlen van de Amerikaanse muziek die ontstaan is op het platte land van het zuidelijke deel van de Verenigde staten. Het meest voorkomende instrument van de muziekstijl is de akoestische gitaar. Cajunmuziek is een muziekstijl die afstamt van de blues en is ontstaan rond de 18e eeuw. De muziek is ontstaan in het Frans sprekende deel van Louisiana in de Verenigde Staten. De voornaamst gebruikte instrumenten zijn de viool, de accordeon en de triangel. Tegenwoordig wordt er ook vaak een gitaar gebruikt. Mijn voorkeur gaat toch echt wel naar country omdat de muziek een stuk vrolijker klinkt dan Cajun. Daarnaast vindt ik nummers met viool toch niet zo aantrekkelijk om naar te luisteren.
