In der fünfzehnten Ausgabe des erfolgreichen Illustrationsfestivals „Illustre Gestalten“ zeigen die Illustratoren Darmstadt e.V. ihre jüngsten Werke und machen auf neue, vielfältige und beeindruckende Weise deutlich, wie sie ihre angewandte Kunst definieren. In einer Sonderausstellung „Spanien“ setzen sich die Darmstädter Illustratoren*innen intensiv mit dem Gastland der Frankfurter Buchmesse auseinander. Zusätzlich wird eine Auswahl der besten spanischen Künstler*innen zu sehen sein. Neben der Präsentation Darmstädter und spanischer Künstler*innen wird es wie immer ein reichhaltiges Rahmenprogramm geben: Eine „Graphic Recording-Battle“ lässt über das schnelle Zeichnen zu einem Vortrag staunen. Spannende Workshops geben praktische Einblicke in die Welt der Illustration. An einem Maltisch können sich auch die Kinder künstlerisch austoben. Käpt’n Neugier besingt live seine Bilder. Der „Comic Cosmos“ bietet an seinem Stand Graphic-Novels spanischer Künstler*innen an.
