regressor!tilly jackson!!
Tumblr media
note; HIIIIIII- So I'm back again, but with a more underrated character! Tilly!!! She's sooooo underrated, I wished people talked about her more :( and I wish she had more content in the game, like she's so well-written oml- she's so young but so independent. And she loves her big family so much- I LOVE HERRRRR- anywayssss heres your foodddddd- (mwah mwah, she's so pretty)
headcanons;
Tilly is a big sister/middle regressor and her age range is 6 - 10
She's honestly one of the sweetest little's to be around, and everyone always says how adorable she is. And she's very helpful! Always toddling behind a caregiver and asking if they need help, or being with a younger regressor and helping do simple tasks for their caregiver, like make a bottle or play with their toys!
She adores Lenny and Charles the most, and Lenny is her (positive) influence if Arthur isn't. He's always so responsible around her, and their relationship is very big brother/younger sister vibes! He's always reading a book to her, she's always drawing with him
Even with all this positivity, she's still much very independent! Always totting about and always whining if she gets babied too much. Stomping her feet and being like "i'm a big girl! can do t'ings by mahself! don' need no stupid peoples 'round to look afta me! >:[" and just stomps off to the ladies to whine to them about all this. Although she loves all the attention, she doesn't like being babied, and she shows just how much of a big girl she is! (girlboss >:D)
Being around the gang from a very young age has gotten some influences out of her. Arthur and Mrs Grimshaw especially. Some of her more fisty, independent side comes from these two, mostly Mrs Grimshaw, if she had to pick one. But that doesn't mean she has her own thing going on too!
She looks up to Arthur a lot, mostly because he was there from the start of her joining the gang and such, and treats him like an older brother. John is a bit different, but still the same in some sense. She adores Arthur, honestly, and has always enjoyed his company, big or small. She even started to draw a bit like him too! But she's taken more to painting than actual drawing, but it doesn't mean she doesn't keep a sketchbook around!
She loves to do hair! Either it be the ladies or Charles, she's just wanting to style! She tries to keep true to what modern hair styles are in the 20th century and such, but also takes from her own independence too! Braids and buns and afros too! Or she just usually likes the silky feeling of hair/facial features LAMO
Being well-behaved doesn't mean she's cheeky. She loves to be a little troublemaker at times, but not enough to harm anyone. Taking Arthur's hat, stealing a few fresh baked cookies, scaring Dutch awake. Simple, but funny. You can blame Lenny for all of this, but he's worse on his own. Though not as bad as Sean or Micah
She loves to be on horses! Or just look after them in general. Going over to where the horses are kept at camp and stroking them, talking to them and feeding them sugar cubes she (probably stole from Arthur) got from somewhere. She has a sweet connection with horses, and always will have! And she loves going out on horseback rides with Uncle Arthur!

🔥🍑😊🔮 for tilly's other mom miss maura? <3
🔥 Give us a list of general likes and dislikes, such as colours, textures, music, weather and other stuff!
Likes
Colors — greens, yellows, pastel purples and blues.
Textures — worn wool sweaters, flannel blankets, fancy stationery.
Music — country, folk, singer-songwriter.
Weather — crisp fall evenings and mild spring days.
Dislikes
Colors — nothing incredibly dark unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Textures — vinyl, dirt and other various forms of grittiness, the sensation of the ground on her bare feet.
Music — she’s not particularly picky, but you probably won’t catch her listening to jazz or anything that’s really heavy.
Weather — humid summer days.
🍊 What is your OC’s favourite meal? Snack? Dessert? Drink? Any reasons behind this besides liking how it tastes?
Embarrassingly for her, her favorite meal is a good bowl of soup. It’s wholesome and warm, not unlike her, and it’s also one of the things she came to rely on to survive before she ever ended up in Jackson.
She’s not a big snacker (she often forgets to eat during the day when she’s busy), but her favorite dessert is and will always be strawberry shortcake. It’s not something she often gets, but she’s a sucker for it. It reminds her of her grandma and hot Kansas summers on the deck in her mama’s backyard.
As for drinks — wine. Always wine, and always red. She’s your stereotypical wine aunt, and she’s always happy when she can get her hands on a dusty old bottle someone’s found out on a run. If we’re talking non-alcoholic, it’s tea. Maura’s a firm believer that tea can solve just about everything, and it’s a staple in her household.
😊 What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down? What cheers them up and makes everything feel better for them? Is your OC genrally a happy person and do they enjoy making others smile? What about your OC makes others happy?
Tommy. As cheesy as it is, his presence is the one thing that can cheer her up without fail, no matter how miserable she is. He’s got enough dad jokes to bankroll another set of books for Ellie, and he won’t rest until he manages to get a smile on Maura’s face. If he’s not around, her best bet is snuggling up with Lucky on the couch or hunting down Maxine for a little girl time.
Typically, though, Maura is an incredibly happy person. She’s deeply optimistic by nature and always tries to see the good and the warmth in the world and the people around her. If she can make someone’s day better somehow, that’s time well spent in her book — and that part of her, in turn, is what her friends and family love most about her.
🔮 Star gazing or cloud watching? Hand-holding or snuggles? Early mornings or late nights?
Stargazing — she thinks it’s romantic, and if there’s one thing Maura Foster loves, it’s romance.
Snuggles — she adores being around the people she loves, and there’s nothing more soothing to her than curling up in bed with Tommy or tugging Lucky into her lap on the couch. Snuggling means getting as close as she can to all that love.
Late nights — she’s often awake for the early mornings, but those are for work, for quiet focus and introspection before the day starts in earnest. Maura loves the coolness of the evening, the sparkling of the stars in the sky, and, more importantly, getting to wind down at the end of the day with a glass of wine and a good book. It only helps that she’s long associated late nights with her first proper date with Tommy.

Hello! 💕 Could you recommend any lesbian books that have no heterosexual content at all? I know this might be almost impossible I’m just so jaded and would love to be able to go into a book assured there won’t be any hetero sex.
I feel you, it’s very frustrating to read a book that’s marketed as a lesbian romance or praised as having “good sapphic representation” only to find out that one or both main characters has a boyfriend/husband or fucks a man. We really need more books that are actually about lesbians.
Here are some books in which the main characters don’t have hetero relationships or hetero sex:
The Abyss Surrounds Us duology by Emily Skrutskie Affinity by Sarah Waters All Good Children by Dayna Ingram Ammonite by Nicola Griffith Beyond the Screen Door by Julia Diana Robertson Bleeding Earth by Kaitlin Ward The City of Woven Streets by Emmi Itäranta Compass Rose by Anna Burke + Departure from the Script by Jae Fingersmith by Sarah Waters Fire Logic by Laurie J. Marks + Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett + Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir + Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust The Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri + Just Physical by Jae Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo The Last to Let Go by Amber Smith A Line in the Dark by Malinda Lo Love by the Numbers by Karin Kallmaker The Luminous Dead by Caitlin Starling Matrix by Lauren Groff Monstress: Awakening by Marjorie Liu * + On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden One Summer Night by Gerri Hill ** Requiem for Immortals by Lee Winter * Shaken to the Core by Jae The Stars Are Legion by Kameron Hurley * Teixcalaan duology by Arkady Martine Tell Me How You Really Feel by Aminah Mae Safi The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson ** + The Unspoken Name by A.K. Larkwood The Warrior’s Path by Catherine M. Wilson + Wildthorn by Jane Eagland
* I enjoyed these books but they contain scenes of female characters engaging in violent, abusive behaviour that dampened the reading experience for me. They’re still good overall, I just think it’s fair to warn you in case that turns you off reading them.
** I disliked these books but they fit the criteria so...yeah, slim pickings. But taste is subjective so just because I don’t like them doesn’t mean you can’t.
+ First in a series
One additional note: Most authors don’t label their characters as lesbians so I can’t be sure that all the main characters in these books are lesbians. And since some of these books are in a series that I haven’t finished and/or that the author hasn’t yet completed (marked with +), I can’t be sure that future books in a particular series will not contain hetero content. So just be aware of that possibility!
I had actually been planning to make a list of book recs like this so I’m glad someone asked. I intend to update this list as regularly as I can. Let me know if you want any more information about any of the books already on the list.

The New Jim Crow By Michelle Alexander - how mass incarceration perpetuates institutional anti-black racism in the United States.
Burn It Down: Women Writing About Anger ed. Lily Dancyger - the essay by Minda Honey was great, the rest of them were nothing new.
Getting Physical: The Rise of Fitness Culture in America by Shelly Mckenzie - concise and very readable history of how Americans have conflated physical health with moral virtue, starting in the 1950s.
Uncanny Valley by Anna Wiener - critical memoir of author's career in tech startups. Her crippling insecurity and substitution of personal attacks for critical analysis were… not good.
The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma by Bessel Kolk - neurology of trauma. Pretty technical, more targeted towards practicing clinicians than patients.
NeuroTribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity by Steve Silberman - history of autism research and perception of autism in America, starting with Kanner.
Vesper Flights by Helen MacDonald - essays on human-animal interactions with GOOD science metaphors.
H is for Hawk by Helen McDonald - full of cool falconry facts in addition to being a memoir about falconry as a quietly feral expression of love and grief.
Loving Mr. Spock by Barbara Jacobs - memoir of author's marriage to an autistic man. Very dated and now reads badly. Quit 2 chapters in.
The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida
Spectrum Women ed. Barb Cook and Michelle Garnett
The Way I See It by Temple Grandin
Amusing Ourselves to Death: Public Discourse in the Age of Show Business by Neil Postman - how the transition from primarily print-based mediums to television has affected Americans' information processing and political engagement.
No Time to Spare by Ursula K Le Guin - essays.
Eating the Ocean by Elspeth Probyn - metaphysical-literary analysis of the relationship between humans and fish. Quit 3 chapters in bc I was expecting more environmental science.
First, Break All the Rules by Gallup - How to be a good manager, boiled down to: don't spend too much time trying to fix people's weaknesses; instead, figure out how to utilize their strengths.
Race after Technology by Ruha Benjamin - how digital automation deepens racial discrimination while appearing benevolent.
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain - good insights into workplace advantages, but is suspiciously lacking in any mention of autism.
Change: How to Make Big Things Happen by Damon Centola - how the structure of relationship networks affects adoption of social change. Good stuff, would recommend.
Aliens in America by Sandra Tsing Loh - essays about growing up in a chinese-german family in LA.
The Madwoman and the Roomba by Sandra Tsing Loh - got maybe half a chapter in and DNF.
The Origin of Others by Toni Morrison - meh. At least it was short.
Where Land and Water Meet: A Western Landscape Transformed by Nancy Langston. Historical analysis of how human perception of water and land has directed wetlands management strategy, using the Malheur Basin as a case study.
The Polyamorists Next Door: Inside Multiple-Partner Relationships and Families by Elisabeth Sheff. Ethnographic study of American polyamorous families with children. Pretty good outline of typical relationship models among the sample population.
They Say/I Say: The Moves That Matter in Academic Writing by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein. Meh. I think it's targeted more towards beginning writers.
The Lesbian Polyamory Reader by Marcia Munson and Judith Stelboum. Was published in the 90s and contains more 2nd-wave feminist philosophy than practical knowledge. TBH it feels pretty stale now.

Bathing With the RDR2 Gang
This is 150% self indulgent please forgive me. Im only in like chap 3 of the game haha but i cant resist. rockstar please cant i just give everyone a bath and nicer clothes??? let me give tilly lots of dresses i beg you
In this imagine, you’ll be warshin: Arthur Morgan, John Marston, Dutch van Der Linde, Hosea Matthews, Sadie Adler, Micah Bell, Charles Smith, Bill Williamson, Javier Escuella, Sean MacGuire, Lenny Summers, Kieran Duffy, Tilly Jackson, Mary-Beth Gaskill, Karen Jones
Tumblr media
ARTHUR MORGAN
He’s bashful about it at first, even if you’ve been together before, but it doesn’t take long at all for him to relax. He really enjoys the closeness of it, and how intimate and calming something as simple as sitting in water can be. It’s a little cold, which just makes him want to hold you closer. If he’s had an exhausting day, he’ll lean on your shoulder and close his eyes, slowly dozing off as you run your fingers through his hair. You figure you should let him rest, and you wash the rest of him while he sighs contentedly against your wet skin. After a bath, regardless if it’s in a river or tub, he’s always worried you’ll catch cold. He packs an extra jacket or shirt of his for you to wear. If you had a warm bath at the saloon, he’ll be in such a snuggly, intimate mood that he’ll grin as he carries you to the room.
Tumblr media
JOHN MARSTON
You’ve never met a man who gets as mangy as he does, and so quickly! You have to drag him to a river to properly wash, since he seems to just splash water on his face and arms and call it a day. John fusses with embarrassment at first and can’t believe you actually brought fancy soaps (any soap is fancy to him), but he quiets down once you strip. Once you’re in the water and lathering him up, he’s bashful from the attention but actually really likes it. He can’t help himself from getting handsy, almost clingy, but he stays obedient and rinses off when you tell him. He’s not so fond of the saloon tubs, even with the hot water, because it just feels too cramped. The openness of a lake or river, along with the bright sun and noise of nature, is just objectively better.
Tumblr media
DUTCH VAN DER LINDE
While he loves sharing a bath with you, it’s definitely an indulgence and one you both don’t always have time for. So when there’s time, he makes sure it’s a cozy tub with plenty of hot water. He thinks it’s adorable if you want to wash him and care for him, because he’d rather do that to you. Sometimes he’s chatty and playful, other times he’s tired and thoughtful, but Dutch always likes to just hold you and soak for a bit. He’ll make sure you’re dried off and warm first, and he’ll want to keep touching you, so he’ll want to dress you and escort you to the room. Dutch really can’t get enough of your skin when it’s wet and smelling so nice, so you aren’t going to sleep anytime soon.
Tumblr media
HOSEA MATTHEWS
He enjoys bathing out in nature, even if there isn’t always time for a proper wash, so your suggestion to take a dip in the lake amuses him. He’d rather wash you first, enjoying the simplicity of doing something like that for someone he loves. You two often end up chatting and joking about this or that while you just take your time and enjoy the sunny day. Hosea doesn’t mind if the water is a little cold, it invigorates him better than a cup of coffee. He always urges you to dry off and dress quickly so you don’t catch cold, and he’s the one who double checks to make sure you both brought a spare change of clothes. Hosea doesn’t mind a hot  bath in the saloon, even if it is cramped. It makes him terribly sleepy, though, he’ll rest his head in the crook of your neck… but he’d rather not fall asleep in a giant porcelain bowl, so he’d urge you to head to bed with him.
Tumblr media
SADIE ADLER
Honestly, she’s a little too embarrassed to squeeze in a tub with you, so a quick wash in a river is preferable. Her first thought is to strip down and get it done quick, but it’s a pleasant surprise when you want to sit in the water and help wash her for a bit. Only a bit, she says, but she ends up enjoying the smalltalk and admiring you. She’d rather wash herself, but she wants to help you reach any spots you can’t get. If she’s feeling more relaxed and sentimental, she’ll want to take care of your hair, too. Sadie prefers bathing with you at night, half because it feels more private, half because it feels like you have all the time in the world and you both can just enjoy each other’s company and the stars. It always makes her feel less tense and helps her sleep a little better.
Tumblr media
MICAH BELL
Good lord, it’s like wrangling a cat. Your chance of success is significantly higher if he’s drunk and you promise sex afterward. You all but push him into the river, he grumbles and swears the entire time, he can’t believe you have “soap and shit”, also he can’t keep his hands to himself and wants to drag you into his lap. You could’ve washed his hair in just a few minutes, but it takes longer because you keep swatting his hands away and scolding him for nipping at your neck and shoulders. He’d never admit how nice your fingers feel on his scalp, even if it relaxes him to the point where he’s quieter and less handsy. You don’t bother taking him to the saloon for a dip in the tub because there’s no way he’ll give a shit about bathing when you’re squeezed in such a tight spot with him.
Tumblr media
CHARLES SMITH
He loves bathing in rivers and lakes with you; he’s the one to casually suggest it first. It’s just such a simple yet private and loving thing for him, he can’t keep the grin off his face as you strip down and join him in the water. He wants to spoil you first, really touch and enjoy every inch of you, but he melts in your hands when you start washing his hair and rubbing his broad back. His favorite time to do it is at night, since you look so beautiful under the glow of the moon and the stars. If you both are feeling more playful, he’ll definitely splash at you or drag you to the deep end to swim around. Once you both are thoroughly clean and tired, he’ll want to fetch your dry clothes for you, and he always packs a blanket in case you want to sit out and enjoy the night.
Tumblr media
BILL WILLIAMSON
Well, your offer embarrassed him at first, but then you teased him and playfully dared him and well, now you’re here at the riverbank and he’s stripping down in a huff. You were surprised how shy he was at first, since it wasn’t the first time you’d been naked together. Bill wasn’t sure where he should put his hands (or his eyes) and how deep in the water you wanted to go, but once you cuddled close and started washing him, that all melted away. It’s exciting and fun to him, and he likes the soaps you use on him. Even if they smell girly and flowery, it’s what you use, and it’s nice to have your hands on him. Maybe this is why they’re so soft? Afterward he’d really want you to wear one of his shirts back to camp, and he’s disappointed when the smell of your soap eventually fades off the flannel.
Tumblr media
JAVIER ESCUELLA
He jumps at the suggestion when you first make it, and he’s the sort to prefer the saloons and their hot water. First of all, hot steaming water, often with bubbles because of the soaps you bring, and he gets to keep you as close as he pleases and “accidentally” brush against your body at all angles. No downsides here. He dislikes the cold water of lakes and rivers; the sun is rarely strong enough to warm them. He’s very weak to you washing his hair. He’ll lean into your touch and give you all sorts of kisses and praises as you run your fingers through it. He’s in such a giddy, warm mood afterward that he wants to dry you off himself and carry you to the room, grinning like you two are newlyweds. There’s no way he’s letting the night end with just a bath.
Tumblr media
SEAN MACGUIRE
Alright, he talks big game when you suggest it, grinning that of course he couldn’t turn down such an offer, and you two won’t be doing much bathing, if you get his point. You just roll your eyes and tell him to follow you. The thing is, once you start stripping down without a care, he starts getting a little red in the ears. By the time you’re both nude and you’re relaxing in the water, he’s flushed to his neck but still trying to make jokes. He’s startled that you actually want to help him wash, and when he does the same, he’s seriously conflicted on where to put his hands. Once he’s relaxed, the “accidental” touches are gonna happen all the time and a splash fight will break out. Once you’re all dried off and heading back to camp, he totally talks big game and wants to kiss on you and brag about your little dip, as if it’s something scandalous.
Tumblr media
LENNY SUMMERS
He’s totally flustered at your suggestion but there’s no way he’s not doing it. He’d rather go to the river, especially at night, since it feels more private and something about a stuffy, heated saloon bathing room is a bit … much. Besides, this way you can see the stars and moon, and be as loud as you want. Lenny’s nerves all but melt away once you both start talking and washing, and he gets in a very content, cuddly mood. He makes a point to remember the soaps you like so he can get more if he comes across any, and he wants to help you dry off so he’s sure you won’t get too cold. He’ll probably suggest sitting by the campfire for a bit, just to be sure (and just because he wants to keep cuddling).
Tumblr media
KIERAN DUFFY
This poor man, why are you teasing him like this? He’s so sure there’s some kind of punchline, but you walked with him all the way to the river, and now you’re stripping down … He’s so flushed with embarrassment, but there’s no way he’s not following you into the water. Once you joke around with him and talk to settle his nerves, the tension finally leaves his shoulders. He’ll be a little unsure about you touching and washing him, but he’s glad to do the same for you, trying very hard not to get distracted by the softness of your skin. Once you’re ready to get out, Kieran suddenly worries about you being cold, and he really insists on you wearing his jacket on top of your’s, and that you ought to sit by a fire to warm up. It’s cute how much he frets about this.
Tumblr media
TILLY JACKSON
Tilly will pick warm water and a cramped tub any day of the week, and really, it’s not so bad since you’re both ladies and she’s fairly short. She finds the cramped space comical if anything, and you both will be wiggling and giggling while you wash off and just leisurely enjoy the bath. She’s the type who doesn’t like to prune, but she won’t get out until you do. She has a nice collection of soaps and often finds ones you like, and helps you wash after you help her. Afterward she definitely wants to cuddle and probably apply some lotions; you think it’s cute how much she likes feeling so clean and pretty. All that plus the saloon’s mostly cozy bed makes you two feel like fancy ladies living in luxury, and you both grin and recall it for a least a week afterward. A dip in the river is so … unexciting by comparison, you both just sigh and wash quickly before you shiver to death.
Tumblr media
MARY-BETH GASKILL
Your offer made the color rise to her cheeks, even if you’d been intimate before. Why hadn’t this occurred to her? It seemed like a private thing, but she was too interested. She always thought a hot bath was the height of comfort, but when you took her to the river, she was in awe over how quiet and cozy it was as the sun set. The colors of the sky and stillness of the water was so romantic! She likes being the one to undo your hair and clothes, although she’s shy about you doing the same and wanting to wash her. Mary-Beth loves having nice soap to wash with and will admire you for having several on hand. She can’t help but be full of giggles and give you lots of kisses while you both sit and chat.
Tumblr media
KAREN JONES
She’ll laugh at such a “saucy” suggestion, but she’s game for either a quick dip in the river or a trip to the saloon. When it comes to a warm tub, her usual jokes and fun will peter out as she gets sleepy and cuddles up to you. No matter where you two are, washing her hair and massaging her back makes her tired, and she’ll curl up in your arms and tease you about carrying a nice lady back to her bed. Once you two are dried off, she’ll wake up enough to help tie your hair up and dress for bed or for the day, depending on when you bathed. If it’s the morning, she’ll need just a few kisses and hugs to be energetic again. If she’s still chilly afterward, she’ll borrow one of your jackets and wear it well after she’s dried off.

Vengeance is an Idiot’s Game  - Chapter 5 - Rabbit Ears
Read all the published chapters here. --------------------------------------------------   Eliza had counted five days now since Mr. van der Linde visited her, and she wondered how long the postal service usually took to deliver letters. How would they go about getting mail to a hidden outlaw camp in the middle of nowhere in the first place? She’d been keeping busy reading the never-ending flow of books Hosea provided and sketching in the journal, with the occasional visit of a member of the camp to bring her food or drink. On the third day of her imprisonment the girl of whom she thought was a servant had eventually introduced herself as Tilly Jackson, and asked if she could bring the other girls to meet her. Eliza had not had much female company since her mother died and she came to America, but seeing as there was little else to do for her, she agreed. Tilly had returned with two friends, Mary-Beth and Karen, and Eliza got along well enough with them. They had visited her a handful of times when they could steal away from their chores, and she welcomed the little bits of information about this group she would learn from them.
It turned out there weren't any servants in this camp and the girls were treated with respect by the male members of the gang, or a certain Miss Grimshaw would intervene. She sounded like a terrifying woman, and Eliza wasn't too keen to meet her herself. But the girls seemed thankful for the protection, that Micah guy and another, Bill, seemed to be regular trouble makers for them. They had gossiped about the gang members, and she had learned quite a bit about the rest of the people that stayed invisible, but not inaudible around her. Apart from themselves and Miss Grimshaw, there were two more women in the camp. Molly, who was chasing Mr. van der Linde's attention as his on-off bedwarmer, and Abigail, who had a son with one of the long standing members and seemed to be his girlfriend or wife, the three hadn't been able to agree on that. They had told her about how protective she was over her son Jack, and Eliza had once again been lost in bewilderment. A young kid, running with a gang of dangerous outlaws? It didn't fit the picture she’d always had of these sorts of groups. She had also learned the names of the rest of the crew, and even though she couldn't remember all of them, the five of the men who abducted her, stayed in her mind. Dutch van der Linde was the head of operations of course, his name still rang familiar in her ear but she couldn’t place it. Apart from him there was Javier Escuella, the man who stole her out of her bed so swiftly, Arthur Morgan, who's horses back end she was transported on and who brought her the journal, and the supporting lookout was made up of  Bill Williamson and Lenny Summers. She didn't have a face to three of them and only barely caught a glimpse of Mr. Morgan, but she imagined them all to look hideous in broad daylight, with grim scars and even worse eyes, and Bill being a reported sleazebag would look the worst of them. The girls had lent her some of their own books, Karen had brought her a couple of titles that made her cheeks flush hot with embarrassment at the sight of them and had laughed about her obvious flustering, calling her an innocent little girl. Eliza had laughed it off and acted not very interested in them, but when they left Karen's books were the first she'd opened and devoured, with a wicked curiosity. The never-ending noises of the camp felt familiar by now, and her despair at the situation had eased up a little. She wasn't sure if she wanted to be given back to her father, or if escaping this in a different way would be preferable. He would surely blame her for this, despite all sense and evidence. But on the other hand, where else would she go? She didn't have any useful skills, and the only jobs unskilled women could take on weren't really to her liking. She might as well have taken one of the rich men as her husband and provided him pleasure at his command. Eliza didn't know what to do.
The sound of Tilly’s giggle neared and she looked up from her journal where she had been sketching, lost in thought. Karen and Tilly entered, beaming from ear to ear. “Miss Cornwall, I believe you'll find it of interest that Dutch has taken a liking to your – how did he put it?” Karen looked at Tilly, who stepped in. “To your remarkably pleasant face, he said. We overheard him and Hosea talking!” “Ooooh Molly won't be too pleased with this, Miss O'Shea thought she just about had him reeled back in before they went to get you!” They both laughed and Eliza hoped her face didn't betray her. She wasn't keen on his admiration, frankly she'd have preferred if he found her hideous. The girls didn't seem to dislike him though, so she didn't want to be rude and smiled with them. “Well, he hasn't spoken to me much, but he was very polite in our last conversation.” She thanked the gods that her voice sounded light hearted. Before they could reply, someone called their names from nearby. “Karen, Tilly! Miss Grimshaw is on the hunt for you, and she ain't seem in too happy a mood! You better get to her as quick as you can.” They both cursed and shot Eliza an apologetic look, before stumbling, still giggling, out of the tent. Mr. Morgan entered just moments later, a flask in his hands. He pushed it through the bars towards her, barely looking in her direction. “ 'ere, got you some more water, Miss. Sorry to disturb your chat with them girls, they often forget they got chores to do.” His eyes fell on the journal in her lap, and the corners of his mouth twitched. He lifted his head and looked at Eliza directly for the first time, she had to pull herself together to not flinch. He didn't have the unkind, mean look she was expecting from a kidnapper, but his face was hard, weathered and unshaven. He smiled a half smile. “You like it then? To draw in?” His voice was a touch clearer than before and she gave her best to relax a bit. There were steel bars between the two of them and he didn't seem to want to do her any harm. “Y-yes, thank you. I'm not much of a writer, but drawing reminds me of sitting outside my home and looking over the valley.” “Mmh, sounds lovely. Shame we can't let you sit out here, there's a spot where the view over the river is beautiful, real nice to sketch there.” Eliza wasn't sure how to respond, so she just nodded politely and smiled back. He was looking at the journal again, tilting his head as if he was curious see what she’d been drawing, then quickly averted his gaze and lowered his head, as if caught. “Sorry, didn't mean to pry. I'll leave you to it now, one of 'em girls will bring you some dinner.” He turned around and left in something of a hurry. Her eyes lingered for a moment on the swaying canvas, then returned to her lap. The rabbit she had sketched there didn't look quite right, the ears weren't in the right place. She sighed and closed the journal. She yearned to sit outside, the sunlight caressing her skin, and wondered what the view he was talking about would look like.

Blackwater (Red Dead Redemption 1930s AU Fanfic)
John Marston hires Private Detective Arthur Morgan to look into the death of Heidi McCourt, a friend who he suspects was the victim of foul play rather than suicide. His investigation leads them into the escalating war over West Elizabeth’s bootlegging industry between two powerful gangsters Arthur happens to have unpleasant and unfinished history with.
Tumblr media
“Sir, you can’t just go in there!” Tilly said in that no-nonsense tone that always came out whenever her feathers got ruffled. Her heels clicked against the floor as she came after him. “Who do you think you are? You need an appointment.”
He shot at wary glance at the tall figure who loomed by his doorway, obscured by the frosted glass, trying to figure out if God or Satan was about to dole him out a favor. Not that he believed in any of that, but if he did, Arthur would place his chips on the latter. Probably some filthy rich tycoon looking to get his dirty work done or perhaps a rich Nancy boy with daddy’s money looking to get out of a jam. Two types of men Arthur strongly disliked, but money was money no matter whose hands it came from. He was always hard-pressed to turn down a potential client no matter how foul. Unless the gentleman gave his girl lip. That was different. Then Arthur would toss his ass out in the cold if Tilly didn’t do it first. Arthur walked to the front of his desk and leaned against it, hands resting lightly on the mahogany wood behind him.
“This can’t wait,” a hoarse voice rasped. Christ, there was someone out there who apparently smoked more than Arthur did.
He came into the office with all of the arrogance of a man used to getting what he wants; stride steady and gaze narrowing as it locked on Arthur, as if he was expecting more. His half-assed attempt at slicking back his black hair meant some of it still fell limply over his eyes. Dark and beguiling, they had a spark to them not unlike gunfire at night. An expensive suit, charcoal and pinstripes, hugged his lean frame. Something was off though. Maybe it was the way the fabric was a bit tight around his broad shoulders or maybe it was the thin, angry scars that tore across his young face, but Arthur recognized a fellow imposter when he saw one. Both of them too raw for the finer things in life. No silver spoon ever graced that mouth. Must be new to his wealth. Self-made.
“S’alright, Miss Jackson,” Arthur said as Tilly followed the gentleman in, ready to drag him out by the ear. She was wearing that yellow dress he always liked, added a bit of sunshine to their admittedly somber office. “I’ll take it from here.”

17, 18, 19, 21 for Tilly!
17. Do you like your family? Do you like them?
yeah!! my mom and dad can be a little much sometimes, but isn’t that normal? my sister too, but she helps me get away with so much and she was always willing to create a distraction so i could get out of chores when she was younger. (she won’t anymore but i think she’s realised that if i don’t do the chores? she does…)
18. Do you consider any of your friends’ family?
i don’t really have too many friends here? i have talisa, if my girlfriend counts, but i think that’s cheating
19. Do you have pets? What are their names?
i have two dogs!! my german shepherd is grizzly and my pit bull is timber. they were supposed to be guard dogs like buckley but they’re giant babies and run away from chickens haha. do the horses count as pets? i take care of all of ‘em, but none of them are technically mine…
21. Rant about something you dislike (don’t worry, we’re not limited on time)
okay so like.... i know i go on about this a lot but? i really wanna see more of the world. i get why my parents are so protective, but i’m an adult and i wanna see things, y’know? talisa always tells me that it’s good that i stay close to town. i just.. get a little stir crazy?
(note from me lol: her opinion changes after she goes out the one time and talisa is bitten - she’s happy to stay in jackson after that)

R E L A T I O N S H I P S:
Key: ♡ love interest, ☆ Liked Person, ♧ Disliked person, ○ Acquaintance, ? Unknown
☆ Arthur Morgan: Evelyn loves how sweet this man is. He's always been very kind to her, treating her as an equal. They often chat and go horseback riding together. He also helps her hone her gunmanship skills from time to time.
☆ Abigail: Evelyn Admires her dedication and love for her son Jack. Also thinks her strong personality is Amazing. Wants to be her friend but is scared to be a bother.
☆ John Marston: Whoo boy. If John wasn't married, she would have jumped his bones so quickly. He doesn't talk to her that much unless he's sloppy drunk. She's gotta be careful when he's like that, all cute like that all clingy and touchy. She envys Abigail.
○ Jack Marston: Ehhhh.... Not a lot here. Evelyn isn't really a kid person. She'll be nice to him if he approaches her or play with him if he wants. She'll do her absolute best if tasked with watching / caring for him.
☆♡ Sadie Adler: Oh. Oh oh oh. Sadie could punch her teeth in and she'd mumble her thanks. Evelyn often wonders what her lips feel like, the taste of her sweat. Sadie is the closest thing to a friend Evelyn will allow. They're always getting into all kinds of mischief. Evelyn hasn't made any advances on Sadie because she doesn't want to ruin what they've got going on now. Evelyn highly respects her.
○ Tilly Jackson: Evelyn isn't too sure about her. Tilly' s nice enough, inviting her to play cards or dominoes, but they both seem to be holding back for some reason.
☆ Lenny Summers: He's a good one. Evelyn enjoys watching him go about his day. Doesn't mess with him because she doesn't see him that way, he's a good egg. Evelyn thinks he wouldn't be okay with just sex. He seems to be a deep relationship type guy. Regardless, he's very sweet on her, leaving her favorite flowers at her tent or having daily chats and sharing guard duties. Evelyn thinks she could try and start to let herself count on him to have her back.
☆♡ Molly O'shea: Evelyn was definitely star-struck when she first met Molly. She thought she looked like a goddess. If Evelyn thought she could, she'd sleep with Molly. They don't talk too much anyways. Molly is kind enough to Evelyn. Often, Evelyn will get into fights with Micah and Sean when they do try to poke at Molly.
○ Dutch Vander Linde: Evelyn stays away from Dutch. She isn't down with the weird vibes he has around him. Tries her best to stay in his good graces after being accepted into the gang.
☆ Hosea Matthews: Evelyn adores him. She does hang around him a lot, worrying over every cough, groan or wince. She looks up to him and is completely down for any "acting" jobs he might need her for. She works a majority of her jobs with him.
♡ Sean Macguire: Oh Sean. Boy is he annoying, but oh is he fun. Anything, Anytime, Anywhere. Evelyn remembers the huge bustle in camp over the return of Sean, the party that lasted days. She danced with him a couple times after getting acquainted with him, engaging in a little drunken groping and one thing led to another. Sean is very sweet to her in his own way.
☆ Charles Smith: High respect for this man. Evelyn loves that he has such a respect for life. He taught her how to hunt and gather.
♧ Leopold Strauss: Evelyn finds him extremely creepy even though the run in the same Business. Steers clear of him.
♧ Mr. Pearson: Evelyn finds him annoying. She told Sadie she'd help her hide his body. Nothing else really.
♡ Kieran Duffy: Ever since Arthur had hauled him back and Dutch had him tied up, she felt this instant connection to him. After everyone had gone to bed, she'd sneak him small bits of food and water, checking on his general health. During the day, she'd talk with the other girls about him. " he's just so cute, I wanna eat him up~" she would purr, biting her lip as she scanned him from across camp. " you're insane." Tilly would scoff, brushing her off. "Mm.." She replied, never taking her eyes off him for a second. After he was accepted into the gang, she grew bolder with her advances. " Sure, I'll help you out, if you kiss me." She'd tease him when he'd ask her for help. She loves seeing his eyes go all wide and his ears burn red. Eventually he warmed up to her, taking her up on her offers. Kieran was the sweet peach she'd been craving. Evelyn goes fishing with him all the time and chats with him while he tends the horses.
☆ Mary-Beth Gaskill: They don't talk much, but Evelyn has a soft spot for her and is sceretly rooting for her to go get Arthur.
☆☆ Karen Jones: These two may or may not have drunkenly made out once... or twice. Evelyn is Karen's right hand woman in fucking around with men. Best drinking buddy too.
♡ Javier Escuella: Evelyn is infatuated with this man. He's the one who introduced her to Dutch and the gang. One fateful night at the saloon and these two have become pretty much entangled. Can't keep their hands off each other, they're constantly teasing each other, seeing who'll break first, always fighting for dominance. Evelyn loves to listen to him sing. They, when not in the throes of passion play guitar together, and often rob people and play 5-Finger Fillet. The pot is at 250$ right now.
○ Uncle: Evelyn checks in with him from time to time but, not much else. She does delight in singing raunchy songs around the campfire with him though.
??? Josiah Trelawny: He's unknown to her. She saw him once, very briefly.
☆ Reverend Swanson: she sits with him and just listens to his ramblings. She swipes bottles from him "You said to help you, I'm helping you!" Which then he'll go on a rant about how horrid he is. She protects him from Micah often. She gets it. People in pain understand each other.
♧? Micah Bell: Micah is a huge question mark to Evelyn. He disgusts her but she feels like there's more to him. Now that doesn't excuse his extremely insidious behavior. He harassess her sexually and racially, but she just fires back at him. " You only wish you knew my embrace." She's stabbed him a couple times from him getting a little too full of himself. Ain't nobody own Evelyn.
☆ Bill Williamson: Evelyn finds him cute. She can more than not confuse him and trick him into things. She figured out Bill's a big softie for praise. So she constantly complements him on his appearance and how fantastic he's done on a job or a chore. He's kinda like a big dumb puppy. She allows him to get a little handsy when he gets drunk only because she can see how lonely he is. She understands that more than anybody else.
♧♧ Susan Grimshaw: Oh boy do these two hate each other. " Another whore." Susan had mumbled under her breath when Javier had brought her in. Evelyn had immediately come after her. " The fuck did you just call me bitch? Oh~~ I get it. You're just mad because I'm young and beautiful. Well guess what? I ain't going anywhere anytime soon." She had smirked, cocking her head to the left. " I do so ever look forward to working with you." She sneered. These two constantly fight even though Evelyn pulls her weight and then some in the gang.

Note
who are your fave characters in RDR2 ?
Of course, I adore Arthur Morgan.
Note that I went with a very, very low honor and violent Arthur Morgan (for example, he refused Mary Linton’s request, doesn’t help anyone if there’s money to grab somewhere else, provoke practically everyone at the camp. I took so many punches from Bill and Charles already by the way, it’s really funny XD) I’ll do a good guy Arthur in my second playthrough. Therefore, of course, the list below would vary depending on the honor of Arthur. It’s a bit rp XP
So, apart from Arthur, “my” top favorite fictional characters are (If these characters have a mission for me, I’ll immediately run to them. They have priority over everyone else) :
- Molly O’Shea (my Arthur has a soft spot for her, so yes she’s useless in Arthur’s eyes, doesn’t do anything for the camp, but strangely as I never provoked her, when I asked her to do her part, she said “okay” like she accepted it, but I doubt it’ll change anything. I wonder if the fact that you never greet or never provoke a character truly changes something or not ? in the available interactions I mean.)
- Micah Bell (action action action + both maniacs leaving tons of dead bodies each time they go out + both annoying and antagonizing everyone at the camp + maybe soft spot but that’s my bastard Arthur after all ) (As a note, I don’t know if it’s like with Molly, if it’s because I never provoked him, but when he was annoying Charles for example, my Arthur just asked him to stop and asked them both to go working and they just did as they were told, so no bodyslam for Micah from Charles)
- Reverend Swanson (so much fun and wtf, so even if useless, Arthur kinda likes him. He provokes him sometimes but for fun, no real meanness)
- Simon Pearson (what would they do without him XD ! Never provoked ! My Arthur is always super polite with him XD)
Characters slightly liked : Sean Mcguire (funny guy) ; Hosea Matthews (THE real father figure, a lot better one than Dutch for my Arthur) ; Jack Marston (only because Arthur sees his own dead son, Isaac, in Jack)
Neutral characters : Abigail Roberts (asks for a lot but does nothing) ; Karen Jones (doesn’t bring enough to the camp) ; Tilly Jackson (same as Karen) ; Javier Escuella ; Sadie Adler
Characters disliked : Leopold Strauss ; Uncle ; Lenny Summers ; Mary-Beth Gaskill ; John Marston (the tension at the beginning of the game didn’t fade away)
Characters strongly disliked :
- Dutch Van Der Linde (to me, he’s the politician of the group, like big promises and nothing concrete, spending his time reading books at the camp but asking everyone to work… Also, I still didn’t play that part but I already saw it on Tumblr and stream, I hate how he doesn’t react to Molly’s death, so, no matter how is my Arthur, high or low honor, I’ll surely dislike this character.)
- Susan Grimshaw (only since the day she forced Arthur to wash himself and even slap him like BITCH PLS WTF ??? XD i’m gonna draw my bad Arthur’s reaction to it by the way)
- Kieran Duffy (too much of a whining victim in Arthur’s eyes for now. Perhaps it’ll change as I keep playing but at the moment, he dislikes him.)
- Bill Williamson and Charles Smith (because of the many punches in the face that were completely deserved by the way XD)
