the fact that so many many people in so many fandoms see soft love as a weakness is so freaking bad. oh, but there has to be angst! characters can't find each other and be in love and enjoy each other's company, there should be decades of pining.
i love good pining as much as anyone, but come! on!
there can be tons of trauma in their background, but LET THEM LOVE EACH OTHER and let them be smitten with each other. let them have the comfort they deserve.
and even if there was trauma, is it really that bad when two characters find each other and they click together like a piece of a puzzle, finishing the final stages of that puzzle and finding freedom in that?
honestly.
