the answer to these questions informs how the blood is going to look. a fresh arterial spray on skin and clothes is going to look a LOT different than a pool of it thats been on a hardwood floor for a few hours/days. i would recommend looking up references if u have the stomach for it but if not u can still watch like shows/movies so its not actually for real. if thats still too much then idk u dont have any business trying to make a bloody edit at all sorry SFDGHJK. google images will do u a world of good but uhhhh im gonna be real i have a login to a website that stockpiles real crime scene photos for forensic and crime (??) students which i usually head to but im not comfortable sharing that LMAO. i swear google images is still fine though

i usually just copy almost exactly what im seeing on the screen so the method varies a lot but its mostly various shades of dull red drawn on several multiply layers. erasing using a low opacity brush helps for like ?? layering?? blood doesn't dry uniformly, some parts will be darker than others etc. in a lot of lightings blood will just look straight up black. if thats the case i usually manually add a bit of solid red to act like a highlight. also u dont have to get too precise with it a bit of a suggested smudge can go a long way

Sorry if this question is a bit dumb or anything, but how exactly do you get started with commissioning an artist?

ive wanted to commission you since comms have opened, and same goes for multiple other artists - but inbetween not having the money to spend on them, not knowing how to commission artists, safety tips/things to know to keep both sides safe and comfortable, etc etc im just a bit lost!!

do you have any advice or links or anything to where i could find some info on that kinda stuff? thank u so much in advance!! ^^

honestly i dont really know if there's a "proper" way to do it. here's usually what happens with me:

client: hi i'm messaging you directly somehow. hi. i want to commission you for my Thing me: hi thats epic ! do you know what size you're looking for? do you have any pictures of the Thing? client option A: yes i'm getting [size] and here's a picture of my Thing! me: ok great ! that will probably come up to [total]. i'll give you my paypal towards the end of me finishing and i can get started any time.

client option B: i dont know the size im looking for, but this is my description of what i want. me: ok ! well based on that, [size and total] is my suggestion because i think it will show all of the necessary detail but i can work with any size, we might just have to alter the pose/design slightly to make it work if it's smaller. let me know if this sounds okay to you and i can get started client: hmm that's still a little out of my budget i'll have to think about it me: no problem hmu if you have any questions or updates! <3

the only commissions i dont really like are ones where you have to put on a down payment before the artist has even started and then pay the other half when it's finished. i notice that only the really high-end artists do this and i understand completely, but for me, this just wastes my money by forcing me to pay to convert and send it. also, a lot of clients dont really like paying for something before it's even been started in general, which is reasonable.

that being said if you feel uncomfortable about commissioning someone, let them know upfront! be like "hey ive never commissioned someone before, im kinda nervous [about sending payments/talking/etc]" thats totally fine! decent artists will be more than happy to walk you through everything. hell even if it's not your first time, it's perfectly fine to be honest about being nervous. anything with Money Is Always Nervous !

a more social rule i dont break is changing my client's designs. re-posing a character? totally yes. re-designing the character or suggesting tips to make the character "better"? not really. i once commissioned an artist who told me my monochromatic character was too bland and literally refused to draw it unless i changed the eye colour or added 1 pop of colour. i tried explaining to her This Character Is Purposefully Not Colourful but she refused and basically just shit on my self-insert-sona for 10 minutes lol. minor design changes are completely fine (with approval from the design's owner) but "i think your character's ugly and i wont draw it until you agree to make it more beautiful to me personally" is really shitty. i guess, basically anything where the artist is making you feel weird/ugly/belittled/bad for whatever reason, but especially in the context of artistic design. a good artist isnt going to make you feel bad about what you asked them to draw no matter what it is. it's honestly really fucking weird to nitpick what someone else's personal character/design looks like anyways ..

'No relationship is perfect- no one is perfect.' you keep repeating to yourself.

What kills you is, for the most part, he is perfect. You've truly never felt this amount of love, tenderness or care in your entire life. So what if his eyes widen just at the sight of you enter a room- like he was meeting a deity of some kind. Isn't it wrong to ask less of him? Of a man so utterly devoted to you?

"What are you thinking about, angel?" Lyo's concerned eyes stare daggers into yours, waiting patiently for your reply.

"What am I-? Oh... nothing." After you speak there's nothing but silence for a minute or two

"It's just that-... Well... I know something is wrong so- can you just tell me so I can fix it?" He leans in as you quickly pull away, last time you let him 'fix' an issue between you and someone else your friend of two years sustained some pretty nasty bruises, bruises way too specifically placed to have been caused by a tumble in the dirt.

You let it slide then- 'just once' you thought. Since your so called friend had turned into a real jackass after having a few too many, and refused to take no for an answer. You didn't even bother to start a fight even when you knew Lyo was lying to your face about just walking him home, the quick glimpse of fresh scratches on his knuckles where all the proof you needed at the time.

But then there was that 'accident' on the staircase, the scared glances that surround him, the constant hovering, and the multiple monologs about how deeply he loves you, how he will always protect you; how you were like a divine being, taking pity on the likes of him-.

'He doesn't mean to- he doesn't know he's wearing me down... He doesn't mean to.'

"Please- just let me handle it myself. I'll be alright." you give him a reassuring glance before an abrupt

SLAM

As his hand meets the table. Instantly, you look at him with a mixture of shock, confusion and fear.

"I'm sorry! I'm so-so sorry! I didn't mean to! I just-!" Lyo's posture shrinks- like he's trying to make himself look as non-threatening as possible after seeing the look on your face.

You'd never seen him like that before. He was always incredibly calm with you-

"-please dont be mad at me, angel!" He reaches to cup your face in his hands "I just want to protect you... that's all...... GODDAMN IT! This is all his fault! YOU KNOW THAT?!"

Your mouth is still agape as you watch him unravel. 'Did he want to hit me?' 'Was he going to hit me?' were the only thoughts going through your head as you watched him pace.

Finally after a minute you blurt out

"I can't do this anymore. For a second there- I genuinely thought you might hurt me. I can't do this, I'm sorry, I need to leave."

He freezes.

"Don't." Lyo's voice came out as half threatening, half pleading. Like he was dreading what he would have to do next.

"I need you. Please- I just want to protect you! You know I would never hurt you! Ever! I just got a little frustrated! That's all! Don't be stupid, you know I'd never ever hurt you! I'D NEVER HURT YOU!?! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN THINK THAT?! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I-"

"Stop!", "I made my decision."

"So what? Mine doesn't matter then? What am i supposed to do without you? I have nothing without you. You aren't just the greatest thing in my life- you- you are my life!" Desperation clang to every word Lyo spoke, making your heart ache.

He could tell you were caving, as pools began to cloud your eyes you croak out a pitiful "ok..." before feeling his warm embrace.

Lyo gently pets your head, holding you tightly for a good few minutes while you cry. Knowing that just like a moth drawn to flame, He has you exactly where he wants you, no- needs you.

so i had a long talk w ruby abt ocs and the future of my stories and i have come to a realization that i wish i wouldve had a long time ago lol

i dont...HAVE to make everything into a comic in order to share the story and characters. like. not everything has to be mirrors. i can just Share Shit if i want to.

sometimes i get bummed ppl dont ask me abt my ocs but like..its my fault they dont??? it really is. because i never TALK about them to the point of getting people interested enough to ask about them! why would someone wanna ask about an oc they havent been given any stuff to be interested about???

for a long time i kept all my ocs' stories a secret because i wanted to be spoiler-free in the event i made their stories into comics, which i did plan on doing for a while. but now im realizing i dont have to do that to share their stories. AT THE VERY LEAST i might write a fic about their stories and maybe people will read them. but yknow what??? i dont even have to do THAT much if i dont want to. i can just make text posts and little doodles explaining them.

i know a lot of u are genuinely fans of my comic works, and i love you so so much and appreciate the hell out of you!! so i do want to continue the comics i already have going on. mirrors kind of Has to be a comic bc 1) im balls deep in it already LOL, and 2) it feels like a comic that needs to be made in order for my vision to get across. i want people to Feel what im feeling about mirrors. villain + school will likely finish as a comic bc its pretty easy and not as much effort as mirrors and its a fun story for me too. doppelganger ii...will most likely only be one chapter as a comic. ngl. but i will finish that one chapter i swear to god

so yeah. i think im coming to terms with not having to make my stories into comics for people to enjoy/engage with them. i hope you all can support this! ;v; hopefully in the future i'll entice you with more info about my characters to the point of where u wanna ask abt them ^^

basically my stories like alien love, step, when death smiled, new light, pretty accident, and even the new ones like one way dream, legend, and blessed...will probably not be comics after all. BUT THATS OK, i can still draw for them!!! i can make fake comic covers. i can make scene illustrations and animation memes. i can still make fun stuff !!! and yall can finally engage with them!!!!

OK UHH I THINK I'LL JUST TALK ABOUT THE MAIN 5 UM. YEAH. THERES A LOT

a bit of important lore context if u wanna understand any of this: uhh long story short there's this other world which was cursed by an evil sorceress and only the 3 princesses of that world were able to escape to "our world" in time. and one of them is our protag. and the whole story is about magical girls (and boys!) also the whole thing is a work in progress so i cant explain every piece of lore ever and there may be some plot holes but. im working on it

also i. do not have any visual references or drawings for any of them yet that arent extremely outdated so uh. no images sorry </3

ok now for the OCs:

Firstly, our protagonist Zoe! A bit of lore first though. She's one of the three lost princesses. However, she has no memories of being a princess or from another world, due to being very young when she came here. After being stuck in a boarding school for most of her life, she gets bored and decides to run away one night. So she runs into the forest, and finds herself at a strange, seemingly abandoned mansion. However, this mansion contains a gateway to her home world. Upon finding it, she reconnects with the magic of her home world and her powers awaken, transforming Zoe and the mansion. But the gateway does not open.

As for Zoe's character, after being stuck in that boarding school for most of her life, she'd get very bored. Rules mean little to Zoe, and she'd often break them in an attempt to get expelled, which never actually worked. Zoe is quite free-spirited, and typically does whatever she thinks is right. Despite having quite a strong personality, she usually internalizes it, appearing "blank" to others. She will almost always voice whatever she's thinking, however. Zoe isn't too good socially either, as she only had one friend who was a part of the reason she ran away to begin with

As for Zoe's powers as a magical girl, she has a magic wand that can transform into a sword, and uses a combination of ranged magic and physical attacks.

some other Zoe trivia includes: she modified her own school uniform beyond recognition, and wears that casually. Zoe likes a combination of pastel and gothic fashion styles.

and it just so happens that there were three others in the mansion at the time, who were affected by the magic and gained powers of their own, and became magical girls/boys! These OCs include:

Eli! That one pretty boy all the girls at school obsess over. He seems like a nice guy, and he very much is, but what most people don't realize is that he's actually a complete disaster of a human being. in the best way possible.

you see, Eli looks normal. At school, people only see him in uniform. he's attractive. He doesn't talk to people other than his friends much, so he's kind of mysterious. But what most people don't know, is that the reason people dont see him outside of school much is because he's usually sitting in his bedroom playing otome games and writing fanfic. Eli acts as though he's a character in an otome game. He's also incredibly dramatic, and a little bit flirty? or he tries to be. He's complete cringe but thats what makes him endearing <3

As for Eli's powers, Eli's magic mainly focuses on healing. He does however, have a massive sword almost as tall as he is. He has no difficulty using this weapon because. magical boy logic.

as for some smaller details about Eli, he likes visual kei, and has a part-time job at a clothes store!!

Now, moving on.. next OC, Melody!! Melody is Eli's little sister. She is extremely hyperactive, and despite only being 14, is very good at writing and playing music, and DJ-ing. However, she's not a very good singer, despite what she seems to think.. Melody is very upbeat, but also doesn't really uh. think. Her main goal in life is to just have fun <3

Melody's powers are a combination of attack and defence. She uses lazer guns as weapons, and can create magic barriers.

Melody does however suffer from a little bit of a bullying problem, and Eli can be quite protective of her for this reason. However, Melody isn't really aware that people don't really like her and find her annoying, since people mainly talk about her behind her back.

Some Melody trivia: She has been known to sneak out and DJ at house parties. Mostly the house parties of rich kids in the next neighbourhood, since they pay her a lot of money to DJ. Their parents do not like her. She's always advised not to, but never listens.

Now, Towa!! Towa is Eli's best friend. often described as ghost-like by other students at his school, due to his habit of appearing out of seemingly nowhere. Towa is prone to calling people out on their bullshit if he overhears someone say something stupid, which causes people to often have mixed opinions on him. Towa works at the same part-time job as Eli, which is where they met. Towa plays guitar, and melody often asks him to record guitar stuff for her songs. Other than that, he's kind of a loner.

As for his magic, Towa has. well. Ghost magic. In the sense that he can phase through objects, become invisible to others, and even possess others (however, he can only possess non-magic users). Towa mainly uses ranged magic attacks.

As for some Towa lore.. He's transgender, and an international transfer student from Japan!!

Now, all three of these characters gained magic at the same time as Zoe. But there is another magic-user in my main OCs. You know how i mentioned Eli and Towa have a part time job? They work in a clothes store, owned by my next OC, Camilla!!

Camilla believed her days of being a magical girl were long over, and started a career as a fashion designer, and opened her own store. What she was not prepared for, was for. well. Eli and Towa to become magical boys. And for Melody to become a magical girl.

That aside, Camilla is very sweet, and wants the best for everyone. She also tasked herself with looking after Eli and Melody after their mother ended up in a coma due to a magic-related incident when Eli and Melody were younger. Camilla and Eli/Melody's mum have been friends since they were teenagers. Due to all this, it is very much in Camilla's nature to often worry about others, and tries her best to help them out when she can.

Camilla's powers are mainly attack-based, and quite powerful at that. She uses a magic bow and arrow as a weapon.

aaand that's all, i think. its taken me over an hour to write all this. i have probably forgotten stuff. these are just brief summaries of the characters, so i didn't go into too much detail about the lore... I do have a lot more OCs, btw!! these are just our main characters!! so uh. If you have any questions let me know <3

I’ve been wanting to read new books/comics do you have any suggestions? I wanna broaden my horizon and try out works I haven’t had the chance to get into!

yeah sure! ive been reading quite a bit lately, mainly horror and disturbing books/mangas so obviously trigger warnings for those ones i can elaborate on specific ones if u ask but i'll keep it short... iunno what specifically you might want so i'll just shoutout my favs recently

Berserk has been the latest manga ive been reading, probably one of the hardest ones to read bc its VERY sad and disturbing but is an incredible story nonetheless. i am not phased easily by written stuff but berserk was the first thing to have a scene that i had to look away from so proceed with caution... Berserk is interesting bc it has Nietzschean tragedy themes and structure, portraying a world where evil and pain happens for no reason despite humans fearing not pain but pain without purpose, but it also holds a sense of compassion and realism to both the good and bad, exemplifying how Nietzsche saw tragedy as beneficial to enjoying and valuing the good parts of life. Sorry this got long but a lot of horror stuff i feel can be boiled down to "Super fucked up bad things happen in it" which doesnt give the whole scope of how a specific media might handle or portray it, so i wanted to explain how it feels to me, rather than just saying its gratuitous.

Something different is the manga Ultra Heaven! this was like finding gold when i discovered it, its short and unfortunately incomplete but i highly recommend it just for the incredible illustration work and playing with paneling and crazy mind stuff. its written by a guy who does drugs and often points to psychadelics as a heavy influence for his work, and its extremely apparent in this one. if you love beautiful artwork and surrealist mind-fucky narratives (like perfect blue or eva) then i cant recommend this enough.

ok i cant let this get too long ummm Animorphs! throwing a curveball but its still horror, just kid's cosmic horror. and war. and its really good, even tho i read it as an adult for the first time i loved it. actually rlly good commentary on the ethics and grey morality during war. Heres where u can download every book, the megamorphs and alternamorphs are required for the plot btw theyre listed in the order u read them in-between the series books.

A good horror/comedy manga is Franken Fran, i INSTANTLY took to it when i picked it up its my style of dark comedy exactly. i really liked black jack for the episodic chapter style, n this is like black jack but with dark comedy body horror and i love it :3

Back to books... I'll list these together, Come Closer by Sara Gran and Confessions by Kanae Misato. I stayed up all night on two separate nights reading these bc they had me hooked so well lol... I wouldnt call them horror, more like thriller/tragedies. come closer has a great writing style, its a rather sad book about a woman being possessed by a demon, really good sparse prose that emphasizes details. Confessions is just... u gotta go right into it, its GREAT. really intriguing style and premise, love the epistolary format, SO good with details.

The Melancholy of Anatomy by Shelley Jackson, short story compilation. i talked abt it best in this post so i'll link it

Bonding by Maggie Siebert is a great short story horror collection as well, the horror feels like aching and emotionally palpable in it, very well done one of my fav horror books ive read so far.

These next two things are about more abstract writing so dont expect completely clear narratives -w- but I read Amygdalatropolis by B.R. Yeager and i SUPER loved it but i might have to reread it a couple of times to get the hang of it. his newer book Negative Space has good reviews so i'll check it out soon but thats more of a grounded narrative, Amygdalatropolis juggles surrealist imagery, forum text, symbolic elements in a truly hypnotic way.

Umm finally i have been really into books of poetry by Sam Pink lately :)! theyre rather short and like some are more story-related but theyre absurdist and really like, good and resonating in a personal way, i really super enjoy it, i read You Hear Ambulance Sounds And Think They Are For You and a bit of Person and i like them a lot :)

So how bad is the Looming Nightmare story cause everywhere I go I've only heard that it's bad without much explanation. ^^;

oh oki! well, i'll put content warnings of what is In the card (+ why i think it's Particularly Miserable) under a read more so that people dont get spoiled.

this card contains murder, death, and suicide. all of which involving or happening to luke and/or mc.

and while im aware these arent new things in tot's stories, it definitely hits different since these are the protagonists of the game we (or rather i, JHSVKJFHSD) are much more attached to.

beyond content warnings tho, i do wanna explain why this type of misery isnt something im personally going feral for despite how i love angst: this card was just miserable for...no reason. not character development, not learning something new about the dynamic, just....no reason. this is just my personal opinion of course, but to me, the story was misery for misery's sake. which, i figure, a lot of other people could be into! thats ok! but it's not for me. if im going to get my heart ripped out by a story, i want to know why or at the very least be Entertained. cuz if i wanted to be miserable without narrative purpose or entertainment, i can do that by myself thank you very much HAHA

uhhhh ok i feel like i wanna explain the multiple doctors thing JKGJFKF how do u not know this.......,,, no matter! i will. explain >:] so there's one Person. the doctor ys? they are an alien from a planet very far away. it has two suns is very pretty. also its destroyed rn but thats a whole storyline i Don't want to get into. also their species (the timelords) treated them horribly so they have an attachment to earth and humans because we are :] nicer :]

um so because they can't keep one actor being the doctor like . forever. its going to have its 60th anniversary next year so like. they couldn't have stayed kgkgjfkfj. they give each one like 3 seasons roughly? and a few christmas specials etc etc and then the doctor regenerates into a new incarnation of themselves. they can't control Anything about this which is a uhhhhhh .genetic defect because the rest of the timelords Can. or could. they're sorta dead. lol. but because the show started 60 years ago + some of the older writers are a mix of racist and misogynistic, historically the doctor has been played by a bunch of white men. BUT . when the doctor regenerated on screen for the 12th time (going into the 13th incarnation) here we start winning . the first female doctor!!!!! the backlash was stupid misogynistic and literally so bad that ppl Stopped watching. also they complained that the writing was shitty which was kinda fair but also !! u can live a little. maybe shitty writing is how we stay grounded. i love my shitty little show with its bad special effects. gimme a tardis sound and ill go insane for a month im a simple guy. BUT ANYWAY first female doctor. (she's my favourite btw. and then after her its nine :])

ok just kidding. maybe 12? i feel rly bad saying that bc he was so... theatric. like some of the biggest speeches came from him. like his episodes Stuck with me and bc he was played by an older looking guy compared to 10 and 11 he just. felt so cool. 12 was so cool actually i changed my mind. no i didn't. Tokyo mew mew new season 1 ep 1-6 thoughts!! I'm finally getting around to watching it…I was procrastinating because once ive watched it I'll have to wait for season 2 -w-;; but I had to watch it this weekend since all of november ill be busy with nanowrimo! obv, spoilers under the cut, but this is basically an informal liveblog as I watch. only 1-6 for now, since im abt to leave to take my nephew trick or treating, ill prob watch the rest tomorrow tho! <3

EP 1

Ichigo's VA is So Good. -high schoolers instead of middle schoolers!! -Ichigo seeing aoyama all sweaty with his hair in that…helmet wrap thingy and STILL crushing on him is incredible. bc thats probably him at his Sweatiest, LMAO. (his awkward lil wave…PLS. theyre both so CUTE) -THE OPENING MADE ME CRY. LOOK AT THEM ALL. It's so dang CUTE. -Ichigo's friends new hairstyles are super cute -MINT!! -ICHIGO'S FRIENDS BEING SO SUPPORTIVE and getting their own character aspirations?? thats unexpected and cool! -love how they kept the animation so SILLY -mint hiding behind a tree and being annoyed at this hetero nonsense. queen of stealth -ichigo and her friends basically snooping for INFO. I love them LMAOO. mint being the best WINGwoman (pun intended) -Ichigo saying "MEN" when she was explaining she watched his kendo match LMAO -the lil sequence of seeing all the girls at the exibit…their main chara energies compared to the bg characters. love that for them -her admitting she doesnt know much abt conservation stuff was sweet. good on her for honesty -I know its for the sake of the plot, but having Ichigo NOT KNOW WHAT ENDANGERED MEANS AND SHES IN HIGH SCHOOL??? -aoyama ready to go full ecoterrorist in that lil date speech. ok king go off. heavy topic for a date (does..he even realize this is a date lol) -her being the optimist to his pessimist <3 -MASAGO KISS FIRST??? FIRST EPISODE??? OH MY GOD -something about mint swooping in and stealing ichigo right off aoyama. ichimint rights too. love this. every one of my ships is winning. ichimint/masago rights! ichigo has 2 hands -something about that…spiritual lil trip thru the cosmos and dino age ichigo was having made me burst out laughing…girl is seeing the whole universe after ryou SHOT HER WITH A PINK METEOR -the midcredits scene was so cute -respect aoyama for protecting ichigo, but king what could u do against a giant rat monster -ICHIGO THROWING A ROCK -Ichigo's new transformation is so cute!! Still think I prefer the old one, but the new one is also very good -im glad ichigo immediately recongized mint, bc they rly do not look much diff from their civilian forms, lol. mint being the first wasnt a surprise (kinda already speculated by a lot of ppl based on the trailers/teasers) but its fun! -good lil rat noises -MASHA HAVING AN ELDRICT SPACE MOUTH. obsessed -ryou/mint matching bitchy energies. love it -you know I dont actually think its good for aoyama to have been unconsious THAT long. hope he goes to a hospital or smth. -Big. Pink. Truck. where did keiichiro get a liscense to drive a bigass truck. DOES he have a liscense to drive it -ICHIGO ONLY REALIZING SHE COULD BE KIDNAPPED/EXPERIMENTED ON WHEN SHES ALREADY IN THE TRUCK LMAOO GIRL. absolutely 0 street smarts in this one. the test tube scene. pls. -this new series has given me true joy: seeing mew ichigo climb out of a bigass truck. thats really about all I needed, thank u -my god, was that francis in the ED?? they KEPT HIM IN THIS SERIES?? the ED IS ADORABLE THO. MY GOD

EP 2: -sorry…keiichiro is a CRYPTID INVESTIGATOR??? OK KING. THATS NEWS TO ME -Ichigo shaking masha's wing was so cute -cryptids are just chimera anima….new lore drop………..im shook. mothman is real in tmm universe. -ryou insisting hes NOT being a creep and having no concept of social norms while doing things ichigo 100% finds weird/creepy…dare I headcanon him as autistic? bc same king! -yeah something about them letting her be mew ichigo the entire ride to the cafe when she couldve changed back anytime was HILARIOUS -ryou telling ichigo shes important becaUSE SHES A BIOWEAPON. ONCE AGAIN HAVING NO CLUE ABOUT SOCIAL ETTIQUTE. THIS IS HOW AUTISTIC RYOU CAN WIN -'when i woke up I was already home!' bro are u not even worried about that? at all? if I passed out in public and woke up at home I would have. SO many concerns and questions. aoyama is the king of rolling with it ig -they replaced lettuce's bullies. and yet. they still suck very much. poor girl I feel SO BAD for her even knowing how itll play out :") -keiichiro rly said u can have unlimited sweets and ichigo agreed to work at the cafe. girl ask about ur WAGES. excited for the ep where the mews will Unionize -I think lettuce Deserves to be a Menace if she wants to. I believe in girl rights and girl wrongs -ichigo living every servers dream of being able to just dump shit all over the customers who suck and not ever being fired for it. love that for her -'lettuce could be in danger' LETTUCE IS THE DANGER. SHE IS THE ONE WHO KNOCKS -'youre next' WHY IS THAT SO SCARY LMAO -ichigo rly said LOVE URSELF and it worked. shes right -ichitatsu rights. the slow hand grab over the course of the episode. love wins (no but actually it was so sweet n tender…the OST is so good!) -really glad they left the alien designs p much the same bc I do like them, but also I wanted to see the fandom riot if the middrift got cut out… cant win them all ig -_-

EP 3: -dont know if ive said it yet but the cafe bg characters are always really cute -ichigo being BAFFLED at mint being Nice to Lettuce jkhkjad -'the animals at the zoo arent anything special' girl anyone who turns down a zoo date is weak and will succumb to natural selection. zoos are so fun tf -ichigo worrying aoyamas not having fun…girl hes an introvert and ur energy is A LOT and hes prob flustered. let him LIVE -I love being proven right 0.2 seconds later after I type something. him getting flustered/nervous and holding Ichigo bc of it. shes his emotional support cat i am LIVING -then him being SUPRISED he was even nervous aww…theyre so CUTE -him immediately infodumping abt cats body temps. another autistic king but I KNEW that in my heart already -goddamn theyre so cute -pudding being the ultimate dateblock queen. here for her energy tho -puddings energy during the unconsentual kiss was WRONG tho. ichigo being abt to cry abt it…death to kish for 1000 years -is there a lore reason that cat protected aoyama? do normal animals like…instincutally wanna fight chimera anima/sense theres smth wrong with them? (i mean ik in universe the implication is prob the cat trusted aoyama and wanted to help him bc he helped it or w/e. just Thinking) -kish immediately saying ichigos boring so he'll kill her…he rly does just see her as a lil toy ugh. in a weird way it reminds me of rose quartz from SU, how she treated greg as a fun lil toy at first instead of a real Person bc humans = aliens to the aliens. if that makes sense. and he Does have reason to dislike humans/preconcieved notitions (not to excuse his behavior towards ichigo, but its INTERESTING and I do like him as a chara, just not the ship, lol)

EP 4: -ryou with his goddamned square window, again. im having a FIT -his room IS kinda sad. damn -im sorry, I swear they also described zakuro as having black hair in the og anime, but WHERE. its PURPLE -mint still gay. good. shes such a lil fangirl -her gay fantasy of hugging zakuro and having a Moment with her lmao. girl same -mint knocking ichigo out of her fantasy to turn around and freak out abt there being lint on her clothes and she cant let zakuro see that. then ichigo sayin she understands the feeling. how else could this possibly be interupted except ichigo being the best ally -LETTUCE GETTING THE ROLE OF ROCK I AM LOSING MY MIND -the knight mint/ichigo prince dynamic. I am Shocked. and Gleeful -lettuce stayed in character as a rock. love that for her -zakuro saved their asses in the audition. ok theater queen!!! go off!! they rly just segued into a full ass music video and im living for it. mint is truely living her self insert dreams too -I love the mix of manga and the old anime stuff! very Cool -the birds fucking GETTING zakuro oh my god i would CRY -glad zakuro is putting up a fuss about joining the team still. esp after they just showed her they arent rly working as a unit yet! still very harsh on mint which HURTS but I love the conflict. the girls are fightinggg

EP 5: -so all the bg charas at the cafe are girls. it makes it look like a lesbian superhub -mints Super Okay facade HURTS. she should be allowed to be lazy -I burst out laughing when they showed micky. why he look like that lmao -mint's brother has more than like 2 speaking lines, I am Shocked -pjs……cute -and pillow fight….they are all so cute ARGH Im literally getting cuteness agression fromw watching this -this is how ichimint can still win (theyre being cute at a sleepover and talking abt their feelings) -mints whole thing with her family and also recongizing she doesnt really KNOW zakuro. omg. they added so much depth im so happy…that whole mint monologe was so GOOD -god kishu calling mickey annoying. if he turned MY YAPPY little dog into a monster it would be on sight. mint should get rights to maul him right after ichigo does. i love yappy little dogs. (and mint being conflicted on fighting it bc thats her DOGGY. Aw :( ) -ichigo tackling mint….this is how ichimint will win -take the fucking shot mint. get his ass.

EP 6: BABY CHICKS?? WHERE /DID/ THOSE COME FROM IS THIS A PUN IM NOT UNDERSTANDING -glam lettuce is everything. i love watching them SCHEME TOGETHER -performer squad mews is so iconic -thinking abt mints fierce gaze while ur singing ur power ballad, huh, zakuro?? thats kinda gay. -ichigo's kitty phone. cute -this fucking security guard is having the worst day of his career LMAO -my god, mint just awakened zakuro as a lesbian LMAO zakuro has been hanging on her every word and theyre inspiring each other…ITS REAL. TH GAYS MUSTVE EATEN THIS UP AS IT AIRED. IM THE GAYS -mint and zakuro's respect and love feels a lot more balanced in this version, which I love -kish makes some feral ass faces -kish being SHOCKED zakuro would join the fight?? sir youre the one bringing the chimera to them to awaken all of them! youre doing that! what did u expect! -how did the live camera not catch zakuro transforming? how does no one recongize them!! esp zakuro!! she looks!! the SAME!!!! ( I realize masaya def does, but NO ONE ELSE??) maybe in universe her hair rly is black…huh -'im so happy for you mint!' what did lettuce mean by that…besides Gay Events. really. truely iconic episode. I do wonder where the cutoff point will be for the season and what the next 6 or so eps will consist of..we will SEE. So far it’s super cute and I’m enjoying it so much. And I’ve cried a normal amount 🗿

if you're unfamiliar, it's just my reactions to the songs/mvs. i'll update it with the rest of the album (including jpn vers) when they're out!

okay so this is my second listen but i wasn't really paying attention the first time due to circumstances lol

is the opening... beatboxing? i think it is???

side note but since oddinary i think hyunjin has really.. solidified (?) as a rapper? not that he wasn't a good rapper before (and who am i to say any of this, anyways) but his raps in oddinary (venom, muddy water) and in circus really have like. a Him touch to it (capital H for god Him Hyunjin coincidence i think not)

okay i never manage to explain this properly but i love the. sound distribution. idk. from the beginning to minho's "bring out the fire" and then to lix's bit. in the beginning, the sound distribution/layout or whatever goes from being very forward-central to then being closer to the centre but wider (like.. an amphitheatre???? like a U shape infront of the centre???) and then when it gets to lix's it becomes a very full sound (like a D??????) man idk okay 😭

imagine like. a netball or bb hoop right and the D around the hoop. the beginning is a line of three people standing at the top of the D, infront of the hoop, and then "bring out the fire" is a line of people along the D-line, and then lix's bit is everyone running towards the goal so that it's full??????????????????? anyways moving on.

idk what minho says between lix and hyunjin's bit but its the cherry on top ok

the prechorus WAIT i love. i love how jeongin's two lines descend at different intervals. um. im forgetting how to describe things. but like. the second time it descends differently. like it goes (incorrect notes) 1-6-4 1-5-3??? i think

these r all the asks i got last night about the whole aesthetic discussion i'll answer in order of when i got them :p

truth b told if i started simblr like. today and knew nothing about photoshop then i'd probably be pretty demoralised too but also thats exactly how it was starting simblr anyway i just worked on it until i was happy w my skills... no one gave me a cheat code i just put time and effort into it

i agree with u im ngl like i do sincerely wish everyone had the opportunity to put hours and hours of their lives into learning how everything about this works if thats what they truly wanted. also if anything doing it solely by urself will make the process all the more time consuming but if u ask around for help people (including me! im down to help fr) will usually give it to u and that'll speed up the process more. being mad at me for having that is pointless what am i gna do go back in time and unlearn it all and for what? dsfghjk

okay i did see this being said a lot and uhhhh i was trying to understand it but like. i also don't. like ok with cluttered aesthetic build shots or yknow the odd landscape with heavy bloom shader on it i guess if ur looking at it completely from that pov yeah i guess it looks like some posts that "blow up" r just sort of the same shit. but the fact remains that its also it's good shit like anyone can clutter a room and take a photo of it what really counts here in my opinion anyhow is shot composition. and there's literally preestablished rules for this sort of thing u can google cinematography basics and get it for free... there's a whole field of study looking into what draws the human eye. like maybe the core concepts behind what makes a popular post popular is the same but thats because it just works. if u wanna shy away from that entirely but then complain about ur posts not being as popular then that's very much a u problem it doesn't have anything to do with the rest of us

u can call this an empathy problem and try explain it to me more but i dont see how other people feeling insecure about what their current ability scales up to is any fault of mine or my problem to bend backwards to try fix... or even how i could. like is the standard high now yeah honestly it is. the learning curve was steep as hell when i first started as well. no disagreements here. but what am i supposed to do about it LMAO like i didn't create the human proclivity to be drawn to beauty i just ride off of it.

idk why i'm the bad guy for being honest for my reasoning behind what i do and don't reblog? lots of other people have been saying they dont really care about aesthetics which is great but if i said that i'd literally just be lying to you. i'm not gonna apologise for not lying... i like being able to see the passion and energy poured into the same video game we're all playing it's only natural to appreciate that- if that reads as passive aggression and u don't understand my stance that's fine by me

i would say for me personally try watch visual media that u can recognise as "beautiful" and not to shit on like. cw shows but i mean stuff that is marked by its cinematography being truly excellent. and just really examine how those set and lighting designers use angles and lighting and how the people filming and editing choose to frame their shots to achieve what works. hell looking at art helps with this too. look at other people's stuff on simblr analytically try to seriously work out why it appeals to people the way it does. ik u asked for editing tips but i think it really starts ingame you can have the most incredible editing style but it doesn't work if ur shot comp doesn't work then it'll won't hit as hard

take time to learn what most of the adjustment layers do on photoshop, and what all the blending layers look like, download other people's psds and play with them on top of ur shots to see what works! what u personally think looks good will be different from what i personally think looks good, i like dramatic lighting and muted colours and mid level contrast so not too strong but i can't speak for whether you will too. ALSO im a religious user of @/simmerstesia's psd set here i think a well chosen shot can be really elevated by using something like this to really give it that final polish

additionally if u have any like really specific questions or need some advice u can ask me on discord my dms are open like i can talk u thru it. promise it's not as daunting as it can look
