Cat and Mouse

(This takes place in the past, back before y'all stumbled into Thorezille and changed the status quo ;] )

“Marqeeez!”

Gracious’ voice bounces off the walls of the cavern, a cheerful, sinister song that shakes you to the very core.

His footsteps reverberate, making it near impossible to figure out where exactly the patron is in the cave.

He likes hunting you here.

He likes when you have places to hide.

You press yourself deeper into the crevice you’ve found, hand clamped over your nose and mouth to stifle the shaky breaths that threaten to betray your location. The scent of wet stone permeates the crushing grip you have on your own face, the faint dripping of stalactites helping you count the seconds passed.

Just wait him out. That’s the goal of this, isn’t it? The carrot he’s dangling over your head? Lord knows you wouldn’t let him prowl after you like this without one. No, you needed an incentive, and he knew that.

So you just have to avoid being found. You have to avoid it long enough to win, and you’ll go back to your horrible, soulless hive with all your blood inside where it belongs.

“Oh, Marqeeeeez!”

Easier said than done.

You can hear purring somewhere to your left. Faithful. God, he’s sick. They both are, but at least Gracious can pretend to be normal. Though, maybe that’s worse.

He sounds closer, you think. It’s hard to tell. He’s already walked by you once, skin lit up like a beacon. He didn’t see you. At least, you don’t think he saw you. Maybe he’s just prolonging the chase, enjoying the tension and fear he’s wrought.

To think you had wanted to meet the man.

It’s hard, during these wretched games of tag, not to think about how you got into this mess in the first place. You can’t help questioning if you could have done something different.

If you hadn’t told Theo to cut them out. If you hadn’t shunted the blame for that decision onto him when they arrived. If you hadn’t lied.

You slink further into the shadows, careful not to scrape yourself on the stone. Even that would sting like being stabbed, thanks to Faithful’s abilities. And god forbid you draw blood. One whiff of that and you can say goodbye to any hope you had of riding this out.

Speaking of Faithful… There’s a faint swishing coming from his direction. Fucking hell, is he wagging his tail? You want to puke.

Your heart is pounding. You wonder briefly if he can hear it. His senses always seem heightened to you, when he’s hunting. Why do you even bother hiding?

Well… You have waited him out before. Not by any of your own merit, of course. No, you have a pretty good feeling that any time he’s failed to find you, it’s been by choice.

Something to keep your hopes up.

And you guess it worked. It’s become a bargain, in a roundabout way. Act like prey and maybe, just maybe, he’ll let you off the hook now and again.

He’s fucked in the head, for real.

You wonder, again, if your heartbeat is audible. Even if he does find you, and he will, you can’t let yourself be caught this quickly. Otherwise he’ll flex some of that endless generosity and let you find another spot to hide, which is always so much worse.

You still shudder at the thought. Being pinned by that man, his strength far exceeding what should be possible for someone of his caste… Seeing the light glint against his fangs, watching that ravenous thirst be overtaken by the urge to play. It’s enough to make you ill.

Like a cat with a mouse, he’s not content just to catch you. It has to be fulfilling.

It has to be fun.

Wait.

Where did his footsteps go?

You press your hand more firmly over your face, threatening to cut off your air supply entirely. You can’t hear him. You can’t hear him! Fuck, you can’t hear him!

When this happened the first time he elected to chase you, you had assumed he was taking a moment’s pause to collect himself and survey his surroundings.

You soon learned, however, that he hadn’t stopped at all. No, Gracious doesn’t stop. He merely lightens his footfall. Moves with such delicate precision that you lose track of him entirely.

That can only mean one thing, right?

He knows where you are.

There’s a pressure building in your chest, the unmistakable weight of fear settling into your lungs. He could be anywhere. Why the hell did you box yourself in like this? You’re smarter than that.

Not that it matters. Old man’s faster than you anyways. You swallow the lump growing in your throat and push a shuddering breath out past your hand. Half of your brain is begging you not to panic, trying its damnedest to convince you that you can’t let fear take over.

The other half reasons that there’s not a damn point. Fear or no fear, Gracious will be doing whatever he sees fit. This town is his, as is everything in it, he once reminded you. You’re not even a person to him.

In fact, if it weren’t for Theo, you get the feeling your life could be much, much worse. Redivi might not give a shit about you or Hirsch, but he does care for Theo. Immensely. And he’s determined not to push the boundaries of what his son will take lying down.

That’s one good thing, you guess. As long as he cares about keeping Theo happy, things will be better than they could be.

And you really don’t want to imagine how this could be any worse.

The cavern has become unbearably still, the silence permeated only by the contented rumbles rising from Faithful’s chest and your own blood pounding in your ears.

“There you are, Marqez.”

You jump, whipping your head towards the voice to find the man himself staring at you, eyes wild and hungry. Gracious smiles, taking extra care to flash his fangs at you, and you let out a frightened cry, stumbling backwards as best you can in the confined space you’ve tucked yourself inside.

He looks positively giddy.

“As always, Marqez, I thank you for your contribution.”

You open your mouth to shout, to beg, to plead, but before you can get a single word in, the world in front of you fades away.

hi! mod cer here! because you requested two character, i’m doing headcanons for them and not a oneshot. it would be a lot of writing to do both characters, and in one post nonetheless. if you want a one shot or a scenario, send in one character :)

todoroki shouto

- coming to class covered in bruises was pretty normal, especially given what kind of course you guys are in, so it’s not high up on his area of concern.

- except for the fact that 1A hadn’t had any training for the past week due to the fact that they were studying towards some big exam or something. he wasn’t sure. he was present but he also wasn’t. you know how it is.

- so it took him a little bit to realize (which he secretly feels guilty for now), but when it finally clicked that something was wrong he confronted you immediately, and after you admitting that something WAS happening. aka getting beat tf up. he immediately took off to go find the people you said were doing it.

- you can try to stop him but it really,, really won’t work. he’ll comfort you after because.. well he’s todoroki and sometime’s he thinks with his fist and not with his head.

- after definitely roughing them up more than they roughed you up, and then ratting on them to the principle, he took you back to his dorm so he could properly get you patched up because it seemed like you didn’t do the best job.

- turns out, he’s not the best at it either, and then remembers that recovery girl exists. so after some cuddle time where he just holds you and lets you release any emotion that’s been building up, he gently convinces you to go see recovery girl with him.

- after that? it’s back to his dorm for a nap. he’s tired, you’re tired, and you’ve both been excused for the rest of the day. so it’s nap time.

midoriya izuku

- he’s observant. thank god. he notices right away and asks you about it right away.

- “hey, are you alright? you’re covered in bruises!”

- when he learns that it was some upperclassmen that were doing it to you? he’s confused. he thought this was UA. thankfully, though, he found out they were from gen ed and not the hero course. it eased his heart a little bit before he went and confronted them, after giving you a big hug first.

- midoriya confronts them, and he gets made fun of a bit, before they remember he’s the psycho kid from the sports festival that broke all his bones because he can’t handle his quirk. they disappear as soon as he looks like he’s going to flick them.

- then he’d come back and not make an oopsie like todoroki and take you straight to recovery girl and make u stay there UNTIL you are RECOVERED!!!!

- THEN it’s back to YOUR dorm and he’d make sure you’re all comfy cozy and he’d initiate the emotional talk over what happened.

- once you fall asleep (it’ll happen. u saw recovery girl after all), he’ll go back to his dorm and immediately talk to aizawa about what happened bc uh... not cool?? no bullying allowed while izuku midoriya is on the grounds!

Dating Bang Yongguk (B.A.P)

You are so sweet thank you!!! I hope you like it! Let’s hope Yongguk is well and happy and will get fit soon but also take his time with his recovery!

Y'all prolly knew each other by looks and quick greetings

and as Youngjae stated that Yongguk only gets close to people he is interested in I think he'd make some effort to get to know you

but omg he said he can't talk to women

especially when it's about dating because his confidence sinks to 0.0000000001

the 1 in the end being a “hi”

one time he said he liked your outfit and then blushed thinking about it for the rest of the day

but then one magical day your damn laptop broke down while you had some important stuff to do

and you went out to get coffee because you didn't wanna punch a hole into your laptop out of anger

and he saw you and gathered his courage

like ALL OF IT bc again: he can't talk to women

and he was like

”Hey Y/N, are you okay?”

with one of his smiles

and your heart fluttered but then you were like

”My laptop broke down -.-”

and he was like

”Hey I went to Cyber University I could have a look at it..if you want to”

So anyways you agreed and he fixed it and then you offered him a meal and you ate and talked together

and whoops suddenly it was 11 pm and homeboy had places to go and stuff to do

so he got up, ready to leave and you were like

”Hey I owe you”

and he just smoothly was like

”If you give me your number we'd be even ;)”

so cheesy damn Yongguk

but it worked

since the members said he has the habit of constantly thinking of rhymes I imagine this to happen:

”Babe”

”Yes?”

”You were my damsel in distress”

but other times he'd hit you with dat deep ish

”In our society penalty really just depends on ones salary”

that was you being speechless you were just trying to get a cup of water

you'd often ask him about his tattoos

or just trace them while you two lay in bed

I feel like he'd have trouble expressing his feelings sometimes

and I feel like he would write you songs

one just for you to hear where he'd say everything he usually couldn't

and you would melt

also his 'I love you's would be seldom but when he said them he meant it

and you knew that

he gives his all into music and is very dedicated so you'd probs have to remind him to eat and sleep especially around comeback seasons

and you'd bring him and the members food and drinks

he'd be so thankful

when if comes to kisses he seems like the type to pull you really close

one hand on your neck the other on your butt waist

and he'd hold you like you'd be his everything

sometimes he would break down and tell you all the thoughts he has and the doubts

and you would comfort him and probs cry with him

hugs with him can be summed up in two words:

Like he’d envelop you in his arms and pull you really close and nuzzle into you

when you two fight he'd remain calm most of the time

it's scary for people to witness

it's contains a lot of annoyed sighs and slightly too harsh movements

if it was your fault you'd have to say sorry

I feel lik he ain't bout that 'When you get mad at a girl apologize for being mad' thing

but if it was his fault he'd say sorry

if both of you were to blame he'd try to talk it out

he is a tol so if you aren’t...

he would tease you

”okay I'm going out now”

and you wanna go in for a kiss

and he just makes himself even taller and is like

also if you ever happen to wear his shirt damn gurl

you failed and he came home earlier than expected and you just stood there looking at him

smoked salmon sticking to the table

but he'd appreciate the effort

like so much

and then you'd just shower together and tbh that's a good present too :)

After you move in together you know who is basically moves in with him?

Pabo means idiot in Korean

so before valentines day he'd be like

”anything in peticular you'd like, princess?”

and you just say

”nah as long as it comes from heart idc”

he made his predictions true

he made you chocolate with a picture of you two and gave it to you

you almost cried while you two ate it

meeting his family of course

they seem as badass as him so you'd be like

”what if they won't like me? They are so cool and I am not really that cool?”

first time seeing his twin you'd be like

going to the netherlands for vacay because he likes the netherlands

Overall: he would treat you very good you can't complain! He sometimes can't tell you everything that's on his mind so you'd need to give him that freedom. But when it comes down to it he's know you are there for him and vice versa. Hugs with pops. Soft kisses and passionate makeout sessions. Thoughtful moments and exchanges over future goals and dreams at night.
