drawing human versions of non-human characters has never been my thing but with tf i find it fun to explore holoforms
some of these headshots are quite old and from different artworks which is why the styles/quality varies but i liked them enough to include them in the collage (i was also too lazy to redraw them)
notes about some of the designs under the cut if ur curious:
-rodimus is explicitly inspired by 80s glam rock. i took quite a bit of inspiration from david bowie, prince, and a little bit of ruby rhod from 5th element.
-im mexican. i wanted starscream to look like an evil stepmother straight out of a telenovela. i think the vibe fits her
-ratchets design keeps eluding me and im still not satisfied with it, but its important to me that he is always a fat hairy bear.
-i didnt like jlaw's art of human roller being generic skinny-buff. i made this one out of spite.
-though its only a headshot for now, arcee's design is also a bit 80s-90s inspired. she has fingerwaves, which i hope comes across in the art
-i ran out of time (patience), but minimus' outfit is supposed to be old west inspired. i'll make a better version of it another time

Pls can someone explain to this newbie the meaning of the maccadams tag???
I been in this fandom less than 6 months. I came into it not through the tv shows, movies or comics but through a TTRPG that my Game Master decided he wanted to do. We played a pre war Cybertron political type game. I got assigned to play as Megatron. At this time I seriously had not seen or cared anything about this series, this was my introduction. Our Transformers campaign has had I think 5 chapters (4 to 5 sessions per chapter) so far.
After my GM noticed I was really getting into my role as Megatron cuz i started writing megatron poetry lmfao, he suggested I watch some of the show or read the comics. I watched season 1 of the original series, then saw the movie. Outside of G1 I have only seen season 1 of Transformers Prime.
Shipping was an accident. I shipped nothing at all till I was hunting for a piece of fanart my GM used in the game once of Orion Pax and then all the CUTE FUCKING FANART OF ORION AND MEGATRONUS WRECKED ME. My kokoro went DOKIDOKI for the first time in like 10 years and I went to AO3 and read like... almost everything in that ship tag.
Anyway hi thats how I found myself back on Tumblr.
