1. How many works do you have on Ao3? 3...pretty small number if you ask me sksksks.

2. What’s your total Ao3 word count? 22,961

3. What fandoms do you write for? I actually just write for JSHK, and currently writing some as of the moment! I attempted to write for Omori, but I couldn't continue because I forgot the prompt for the WIP I was about to make and for the life of me, I still can't up to this day.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

An Unlikely Alliance = 226 kudos

5. Do you respond to comments? Yes! It's always a joy to read them and I try to respond as soon as I get over myself lol. Sometimes a comment makes me so happy I have to compose myself sksks.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

whoever made your smile must've made it to get in my way! Angst is my cup of tea, but if you ask me this actually isn't angsty enough. It's more or less bittersweet. I wrote this around the time of the Severance arc and I remember getting a barrage of messages from my best friend because they wanted to fight me with how angsty I made the fic. I should write more :3

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hmm, probably An Unlikely Alliance. This was the first fic I wrote, and it's pretty lighthearted compared to turn off the music (and listen to the quiet whisper) which has a happy ending too, but it's more subtle...if that makes sense?

8. Do you get hate on fics? Nope. And I sure hope that doesn't happen.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Nope...I wish I could lol. But I get so overtaken by embarrassment I die before even typing. Kudos to the writers who can write smut though. Ily all. I wanna try it tho, but I think I'll start with implying these scenes happened in my fic lol.

10. Do you write crossovers? Nope...though drawing crossovers seem like something I'll do.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Nope, and I hope this doesn't happen too.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, but I want to try! It seems fun.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? Hananene! Listen I've never been so consumed by a ship like Hananene. I was just going to read the manga for funsies and I ended up spending the WHOLE day catching up to it and that was THREE years ago. I was in a chokehold. Still am lol

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? So there's these WIPs I wanna finish (tucks hair behind my ear):

Hananene Hanahaki fic - not spoiling much, but I wanted to try writing yandere Amane lol. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what's the general premise ;>

Twoshot Childhood best friends/College AU Hananene - I think the problem with this WIP is I keep forgetting it exists sjkfhksj I just found it yesterday lol.

16. What are your writing strengths? Hmm...I guess if there is one, emotions of the characters and the overall setting. I find it really satisfying if I'm able to tie in a character's emotions and make the setting a supporting detail to said emotion. And like, double meaning descriptions...if that makes sense? Idk what you call em sfjhg

17. What are your writing weaknesses? I struggle with the flow and brevity a lot. I take a lot of time with WIPS because I keep trying to see if the flow goes smoothly or wonky, then I have to keep tweaking till it sounds alright in my head. As for brevity, sometimes I drown in descriptions that the fic drags on and is too long. This is where being detail-oriented becomes a con T_T

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Uhh...probably not. English is actually my second language, but I suck at writing in my native language simply because it's kind of a "heavy" language, if you get me. And I haven't mastered other languages enough to write fics with it

19. First fandom you wrote for? JSHK! I'm usually a lurker lol. This is the first time I actively participated in a fandom.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Does a WIP count? sfkjhssj if it does, then it's the WIP I'm currently writing. If not, I'd say turn off the music (and listen to the quiet whisper). I'm kinda proud with how it turned out :3

currently reading: i’ve bought a lot of books recently, but i haven’t read a single one beyond the first few pages. i get a ton of recommendations and then i read and .. it’s just not my kind of book fjkdnskjg but as far as manga goes i always catch up on d.gray man and yubisaki to renren (i’m so happy its gotten an anime. <3)

currently watching: i was trying to get into ‘from’ but i didn’t wanna pay for another streaming service to watch it LMAO so yubisaki to renren (a sign of affection) is the last thing i watched

Finally got around to reading Tams chapter 3 so heres that.

I didnt send in a thing for chapter 2 (i cant remember why) but I think I like Lihua. Unless you want to kill her or something in that case i hate her and am determined to not grow attached.

You also might just have the perspective abandon her. But I think Id be able to cope with that.

Not necessarily something that just now occured to me but just something that my mind prompted, I like how in this Zuko is immediately taught that he was like very sheltered. And how theres this big population of people who dont have a choice but to make bad decisions just so themselves and their families to survive.

I think its funny that Zuko thinks Sokkas judging him because of his scar (which theres a small possiblity he doesnt know the symbolism for, I dont know i havent read that far yet) and not judging him because hes a firebender like he just exclaimed like dude OBVIOUSLY they are a tad bit distraught by firebending and bros just like "nah its because of my scar.

You have a specific post I keep seeing on pinterest, (and i saw it on facebook one time, that was surreal,) (im pretty sure its you) its the one where its like enemy to lover fics are so funny because the tags are right there or something along those lines. This is giving those vibes. Like he might be unsettled by Sokka now but just wait like 15 chapters when hes REALLY going to be unsettled by him but this time the unsettledness is gay panic so.

I completely forgot about Iroh. Whats he up to nowadays?

I cant put into words how excited I am for the rest of this series.

I mentioned in one of the taob asks that Im really picky about how people write Azula, and Ive already talked about how much i love how you write Zuko, so its Azulas turn now.

First of all (of the stuff I read anyways) Azulas pov arent written enough.

And the ones there are its even more rare that she actually has like,,, a personality???

like Shes always so robotic and uncomplex in some fics and I cant put into words how refreshing it is to get a change in that. Like this is the first fic ive ever read that I dont absolutely dread Azula povs.

(I feel the need to say whenever I compare taob to other fics in these I'm never intending to put the other authors down, im just stating the differences in my specific preferences. Like im all for writers doing what they want in their fics, but the way you write align so well with what i like to read its uncanny sometimes)

Azula is such a difficult character, and you write her so well. Youre phenomenal, I love it.

Like shes by far my favorite thing about this so far.

I love her and Zukos dedication and codependancy. And also how well they ended up being able to read each other and how well they flow with each other. Its so different from their cannon relationship.

I think they should have let you write the comics.

Isnt there a new Azula comic coming out soon??????????/ They should let you write it. Your amazing with her.

You capture the complexity of their relationship so well, and like acknowledging how strained and toxic they were at the palace vs now, its so good, I love it so much.

My second favorite thing about tams, like i mentioned, is all of Sokka and Zukos interactions. They were so funny and honestly had me cackling.

I liked the whole 'Azula and Sokka are similar and so are Katara and Zuko' thing, because its true. I've always seen them as sort of parallels of each other. Its nice to see this acknowledged.

I saw that you answered some of my other ask things recently and the one where I was responding to what I think was the last chapter of Taob had me laughing because I had no idea it was that long when I sent it in. Sorry for making you read all that.

I have a process for writing these and a part of it is that I usually write it in a doc first and then copy and paste it into the ask thing and then read through it to make sure it makes sense. And sometimes when im rereading it Ill add a lot of stuff and I didnt realize how much I added with that particular ask.

I saw it and I just kept scrolling and scrolling and it was really funny to me.

I usually take screenshots when you answer them so i can remember what i have or havent talked about and that specific ask is like 14 screenshots of just the stuff I sent.

And im doing that again with this one.

Anywho im responding to some of your comments on my asks because i can.

sympathy subtraction (chwe vernon). okay so there is NO way im not mentioning this fic. AND im putting it on first place because its literally my child. my longest fic and the fic i hold the closest to my heart. 40k full of undying love for chwe vernon, this is. it also really closely follows my emotions about every single falling-out i've ever had. the perfect slice of life, the perfect coming of age. i shamelessly reread this from time to time from how well written it actually is. i am not afraid to say that i am the biggest fan of my own fic bc oh well. i write the fics i wanna read <3

this february 14th (kim mingyu). okay here's the tea. for a while, i really didnt like this fic and i despised seeing it in my notifications, BUT. it literally has 1k notes so i reread it last night and i literally forgot what this fic was about i kid you not 😭 after reading it again, i came to the conclusion that my writing style in this is actually really good and even though the plot is not anything special, i still think it was really sweet :p

happier than ever (huang renjun). a big FAT trauma dump. but i absolutely adore this fic. one of my absolute favorites. i somehow always give renjun the fics where i experience the most trauma lmao i treat writing for this boy like a therapy session. i think it has to do w the fact that i see myself a lot in renjun so it feels safe to write about him in this way :p anywAYS i still love the brother's best friend trope i incorporated in here. its also a fairly popular fic of mine, which is a pleasant surprise! a lot of coming of age/slice of life vibes, fluffy but also absolutely heartbreaking. <3

the borders (huang renjun). AAAAAAA another trauma dump 😭 hits a little less to home than the previous fic does, but still hits nonetheless. inspired by one of my most favorite songs ever! i always wanted to write a fic on this song, even back in my 5sos era, so i am glad i finally did it when writing for nct. handles very difficult themes, so i was a little scared of posting it, as it was the first full nct fic ive ever posted as well :) i said it the first time and i will say it again; handle this fic with care.

and i love her just like that (lee donghyuck). MY MOST POPULAR NCT FIC AND YOU KNOW WHAT? AS IT SHOULD BE. hyuck e2l just hitS 😩😩 i think about this fic at least two times a week when i go play table tennis with my dad. hyuck is a menace and i still wanna make out with him very badly at a ping-pong table. this fic represents just that. also slightly inspired by maniac by nct u bc hyuck ate

just saying (liu yangyang). my writing style in this >>>>> ngl i find myself really funny in this it might just be me but. this fic is top comedy. also i have a yangyang fic in my drafts that deserves to be in this list but i havent posted it yet😔😔😔 not yy being the only non dream member i write for from nct. his impact on me is truly impaccable.

seventeen going under (zhong chenle). another fic that might be difficult to handle and also another sam fender inspired fic. talks about suicide. with this, i wanted to speak up about the rate of male suicides and how we tend to overlook mental issues in men due to toxic masculinity. also, i loved the 'retro' film vibe and the chenji besties interactions i wrote in here<3

hypersonic missiles (na jaemin). bros i didnt expect this fic to get nearly as much attention as it has. idk man i dont really get much to say abt this one, other than the fact that its a sci-fi, which i dont usually write, but i fucking loved writing this it was so much fun i should do more sci-fi

stray kids.

lee felix's guide to hating you (lee felix). another popular one!! loved every second of writing this. it handles my own feelings and emotions and the fic is very personal to me hihi it also lowkey made my blog "blow up"?? not that its big rn or anything, but i think that most of my followers came from this fic! :)

my only hate, my only love (kim seungmin). bruh there's just something about seungmin that only allows me to write angst for him. i think there's like one (1) fluff that i wrote for him and even that one is a short drabble. im sorry seungmin. 😭 anyways i am a literature hoe and wrote this despite not reading romeo and juliet fully once!! had a lot of fun with it. e2l stays superior (not actually, i prefer f2l but shh)

meet you there (kim seungmin). another heavy one ooof- inspired by sky castle! ngl i am very much in love with kim donghee and he always reminded me of seungmin a bit and i think that's what made me write this fic? 😭 not sure.

Favourite food - idk actually. I don't spend enough time thinking about food ahaha. I say "rice" whenever my brother asks this question and it annoys him so much, it's so cute. ("what do you mean just rice?? you've got to be lying!")

Song stuck in your head - OKAY LOOK, I'm actually proud of figuring this out: this is always the song I paused on before going to do something else, and if I go back to listen to the song the whole way through, it stops being stuck in my head. (right now it's Over & Over by Fleetwood Mac)

Last book/fic you read - I'm slowlyyy listening to Crime and Punishment atm? and last book I finished was Nietzsche's the Gay Science which is like, idk WHY I do this to myself. he just makes me want to bang my head on the table. And uhhh I really haven't had mental space to read a good long fic recently it's so sad!! I can't wait for holidays when I can spend 2 whole days thinking about nothing else and sink my whole body and soul into a story lol

Last book you enjoyed - I actually really like Crime and Punishment. but also: Worlds of Exile and Illusion by Ursula Le Guin

Last book you hated - Dune. I hated reading it so much really could not stand the prose sorry:((( I rly hope my own sci fi au doesn't read like that haha...

Favourite thing to cook/bake - I'm a rly impatient cook so recently it's a simple spicy soy sauce soup noodles. it's so quick and warm and tastes of home :)

Favourite craft to do in your free time - >:) *inserts my origami sideblog* again, haven't gotten around to anything seriously cool recently but I love a little modular origami/kusudama

Most niche dislikes - (august I stole the beverages theme) idk if this counts but I always go "heh?" when people call bubble tea "boba tea" ahahaha this is so dumb & there's like NO reason at all I don't know why it irks me so much

Opinion on circuses - ...? (I don't... think I know anything about modern day circuses but I suspect it's the sort of thing that could send me into an existential spiral lmao)

Do you have a sense of direction and if not what’s the worst way you’ve gotten lost? - oooh you know what, I'm pretty good with maps and am quite proud of it haha, I did the directions for dad when I was 11 and we had like a week long road trip. that's not to say I've not had the dumbest way of getting lost though— was on a multi-day camping hiking trip this summer and literally FORGOT to bring a map, which is still fine as long as I had my phone but then MY PHONE DIED in the middle of a really fucking long day and then there was a military zone diversion and I couldn't find the fucking path and had to trek on the ROADS for like 2 hrs but then this rly nice man gave me a lift to the next town and all was well.

Drinking Songs by Matt Elliott

I forgot how I found this album/trilogy of albums (Failing Songs and Howling Songs) but they all have a very similar sleazy, dark cabaret, insidious sort of indie 2000s Baudelairean vibe to them which has been so good to me especially since I started reading Moby Dick. It’s a little hokey, but also self aware. Really just for a certain mischievous or indulgent mood. If you liked A Series of Unfortunate Events as a kid, it’s like an adult version of the soundtrack! (Elliott notes magnetic fields as an influence so it makes sense.) I love: The Guilty Party, CF Bundy, The Maid We Messed, What the Fuck Am I Doing On This Battlefield?

Luxury Absolute by Clair Cassis

If you know me, you know Velvet Cacoon/Clair Cassis have been almost daily listening for the past year and a half or so. Recently more into Clair Cassis. Black metal doesn’t exactly cut it for me as much anymore because everything else pales when I listen to them; there are such subtle textures I’m constantly amazed and fawning!! The paired, lilting syncopation between the guitars and keyboard?? Ughhh. It gets me every time. And for such tiny “morsels” as Josh refers to CC songs… they’re just so hefty for a minute or two. Faves: antique sea smoke, rosewater cake, under sleepy grey elms

Come, Arrow, Come! By Festival

I’ve been in a mood to rehash my old string indie favorites from the 2000s-early 2010s but by that I mean mostly cello rock/baroque or chamber pop stuff that used to come up on the Rasputina Pandora radio station when I was in high school lol. I have no background for this band whatsoever, and it took a bit to remember and track down this one song, “Bind us all” in particular which prompted me to listen to the whole album. I love the vocalist’s timbre sm and I really appreciate the harmonies, polyrhythms and the low fi quality too. I wish they’d put out more stuff!! I recommend Boxcar, Bind Us All, Blown Light.

New Mexico by Oppenheimer Analysis

Just seeing the word Oppenheimer everywhere triggered this one. One of my favorite coldwave sorts along with Martin DuPont. Not even sure what to say! Subterranean Desire is a hit for a reason— it’s one of my favorite songs to come mind whenever I’m thinking about melancholia and pursuit/loss of the desired object in psychoanalysis and idk if they were thinking of Tatlock/psychoanalysis when they wrote it but it’s so spot on! Incredibly weird to have a concept album written about the Manhattan project like this though. It is just so. Quirky. Favorites: Subterranean Desire, New Mexico, Security Risk, Cold War.

you know, nevermind the problematic aspects of greendruidess’ behavior and writing for a second. really, nevermind the shameless copying thinly veiled as “inspo”, the slut-shaming, the misandry, the rigid toxic gender roles, the racial insensitivity, the unjust anger, all of that, for just one second.

after all this time, there’s one thing that i simply cannot get over with in her writing, and it’s the exact same drawback that fifty shades of grey suffered from.

think about the one shot that i posted yesterday, day 9 of kinktober, “diamonds and guns”. i don’t even have to look at it to tell you what happened: chuck and alex are driving home from their wedding in santa cruz and alex is a bit raw because he wanted to take a walk on the beach and chuck caught him and stopped him because they were newlyweds (i.e., do things as a couple). those feelings come into play when they get caught up in a car accident of sorts: a car ahead of them caught on fire and they swerved and spun out but didn’t hit anything, and alex realizes that that very easily could’ve been them. they get home to dublin and alex takes a bus to san jose to a little sex shop for a stripper pole, a couple of leather teddies, and some body glitter. he goes home, sets it all up, puts on his teddy and slings his pants down low. chuck walks in and the show gets started.

just out of morbid curiosity, i read her new one shot, “peter, peter, pumpkin eater” which just makes my skin crawl just writing out that title before my walk this morning and…

uh. um. something about… pumpkins? there’s a buggy à la the munsters or something like that? some corn, something about burning a corn maze down or some shit? a photoshoot with pumpkins… i think? idk i’m trying really hard here, you guys.

bro, i remember alex and krista’s conversation about pho in day one better than i remember the dialogue in this one shot here (hell, i remember the pho scene in fever better than i remember this)

i remember 31_4am’s james hetfield one shots as of recently better than this.

shit, i remember louder than love better—and do i ever. i remember chris and andi’s first meeting and also time after time in particular: i liked time after time, too, mainly because it’s a sci-fi story.

yeah, that’s undoubtedly the one thing i cannot get over with in her writing is…

i literally cannot remember anything about a chapter or a one shot that she’s written: in fact, i think i forgot it the very second it was done. i literally could not tell you what happened or at least the gist of it without going back and looking at it.

(that was the problem i had initially when the whole thing started between me and her was she deleted the anthrax fics and reuploaded them before I had the chance to take screenshots: saw my own writing being read back to me and yet i couldn’t even remember it because of different context). and yes, fifty shades had the exact same problem for me: there were like two things i remember and they were in the movie rather than the book.

that’s… kinda sad, actually. seeing this girl get thousands upon thousands of reads on basically emptiness, such that an outsider like myself couldn’t even tell you what it’s about after the fact. and she uses the excuse that she’s “not an artist or a creative like [me]”, when that is such a cop out—see my whole thing from the other day, “if you’re a human being, creativity is innate to you.” it’s sad, it makes me sad. and it should make sense that i felt bad for even going off on her for a little bit. makes me even more sad when i know that a bunch of people are eating this shit up. it’s like eating empty calories: it doesn’t nourish you because… it’s dishonest. there’s no honesty, there’s no “guts”. it’s played up as raunchy when it doesn’t even titillate a regular old schlub like myself on the outside who enjoys erotica and loves seeing new blood in the fic tags. her female leads are played up as “ballsy” and “tough” when marla, belinda, and zelda from fever could probably whump up on ‘em without even trying. it’s all played up with lots of build-up and no pay-off.

fewer things in life are as sad as a comedy that’s not funny or a horror movie that isn’t scary. well, i’d like to add to that list and say that fewer things in life are as sad as a fanfic that i can’t remember. it’s not her fault, though, it’s one of the hardest things to pull off, like there’s a reason why so many writers themselves—actual pros, people who have been writing for years—will say that writing is hard. hell, i’ll tell you this to day i die. so, really, it’s nobody’s fault.

the thing that is her fault, though? the fact that she’s made herself on a bullshit excuse and refuses to reach across the aisle, a problem that is far too common now, from my facebook feed to the talking heads i see on tv. there’s no realness and no one can agree to disagree if it saved them, and i see it in droves with her. maybe that’s why she’s so appealing to so many people: it’s something they’re all familiar with.

i've ALWAYS, always had an affinity for music no matter what. i realized it late though, but because of my mom's wants of me being good at music in general, i developed a natural talent for teaching violin/piano in my own way that amazes her.

e.g. i helped a clearly struggling student of hers, and it was the day of the performance + we only had 1-2 hours of practice left, a piano student, she was having a hard time with counting the beats, and being on beat, having trouble with pacing as well, which i picked up almost immediately, and my mom was busy making preparations so she couldn't help. but i stood up and decided to because i just- idk? i really just wanted to help!

and i wasn't aware that this certain action of mine would lead to a successful performance, with a damn headmistress of a school offering me a free college scholarship because of my own performance + my sudden deeds

actually because i forgot to addendum this to my endless addendums and posts (this addendum to me saying its amusing snippy thinks pilot was in the army) afaik/remember pilot was not in the army. i did not overlook the phrase where he says "the tag inside my jacket says sg. christophorus hatchenson" fun fact even. i thought that meant sergeant (it does btw) which would be even more??? to my scrambled egg head but i looked it up to confirm and it could mean an endless amount of non army things also. secretary general. surgeon. surgeon general. security guard. stargate and singapore. spice girls!

i cant explain my feelings properly but i think itd be cooler if he was already good at this sorta stuff and then it gets augmented with dexification. depending on what the person wanted to do as a job. i was under the impression that theyd just get forced into working as whatever, or forced to keep previous job, but then dixon saying he got the job he wanted. well idk how itd work. but also literally why not. many such tales of sci fi dictatorships where theyre making these overpowered miscellaneous things and people like "oh dw they wont corrupt and turn on us :) they can have little a superhuman strength as a treat"

Star Trek Ask Game

I got tagged by @spacespirk big thanks for the tag! Sorry for the delay, I didn’t ignore it I swear I forgot it existed for a while lol. When it comes to adding other people well, I don’t know how many of my mutuals are trekkies if I’m honest, I’m rather new in the fandom. So consider yourself tagged if you see this in your dash.

Captain you would most like to serve under:

Right so, here’s the thing, I’m biased as hell cause as of now I’ve only seeing TNG, PIC and LWD so that kinda means I don’t really know many captains. My answer has gotta be Picard but also if I’m honest I wouldn’t be too terribly opposed to serving under Freeman, as long as it’s after the productivity episode.

What would you want your Starfleet job to be?

I rather think command would suit me quite nicely so if I were to have the Captain’s chair, well, I’d be happy. Another part of me believes I’d be delighted with Chief Science Officer, if the Captain spot is taken, after all I’ve always been a bit of a science nerd.

What would you want your job to be if you weren't in Starfleet?

I’d be designing holonovels no doubt. I would be a bit like Reggie, having a holodeck right there to explore any creative endeavor, well, you’d find me there more than in my own room. The amount of stories waiting to be told with technology like that.

What's your unpopular Star Trek opinion?

I don’t quite have one yet like, I haven’t been around enough to have a hot take. I guess the closest thing to an unpopular opinion is my personal belief that Qcard is more interesting than DaForge which is something that’s obviously contested by the difference in amount of content produced for the ships. It’s just a preference though not a take.

Alien race you'd like to see more of:

M continuum, mostly because that also ties in the Q but also cause I’ve only seen screenshots and references about them and I’m insanely curious about another simi-omnipotent race.

Favorite character from each series you've seen:

TNG: All of them bring joy so this is really hard but I think Q.

PIC: I think it’s Rios and his Emergency Holograms tbh.

LWD: Mariner, I think, they’re all in kinda the same level.

Least favorite character in each series you've seen:

TNG: Bruce Maddox no doubt.

PIC: Agnes Jurati, she is very eh. I find the romulan bastard more interesting than her.

LWD: Ensign Fletcher, man can’t assume consecuences.

If you could make a new Trek series what would the premise be?

I think I would love to see the Federation like, observed from the perspective of people living outside of it, or maybe Starfleet from the perspective who don’t work in it. Maybe a comedy? Have it be like a cafe or something? Idk, I just want to see more than just starfleet, have the universe expanded to the day to day lives of people living in that era.

What's a Star Trek trope you love? One you hate?

Love: I love myself a good Holodeck episode. I think that the Holodeck is one of the most clever narrative and visual diversifying tools they could’ve come up with. Another, and this is more specific to tng, is when they essentially straightbait. It’s so funny, like, it’s been 6 seasons and nothing’s happened but the amount of scenes they’ve managed to shove for the will they don’t they thing makes it ridiculous.

Hate: Coincidentally, I also hate the straightbait. Depends a little on the mood. Otherwise I don’t hate much else except the recurring theme of Troi suffereing and not getting to use any sci fi jargon.

Name two characters from different series that you would love to see interact (and why):

Ok so, this one is going to be an odd one. Liutenant Ralph Furlong (Star Trek: Borg) and Ensign Daniel Sutter (TNG S5 Ep22) because Star Trek got cheeky and recasted the same guy and honestly I would be really curious how they would explain this one.
