a/n: Not gonna lie, started this one with something in mind and it took a life of its own. I know Senna! Reader isn't everyone's cup of tea, so please, proceed with caution, because there is mention to real events and real emotions envolved with mourning. Also, AD 21', I'm sure as hell not over that, so here's another trigger warning.

a/n. 2: Those trees are how pink Ipês look in blossom, I know Brasil is not known for its colder months but those beauties come alive after the few cold weeks.

Like most traditions it started without any intent on actually becoming a thing. You and Lewis would take a couple hours off on Wednesdays before the Brazilian GP every year, the destination a known one to everyone in the paddock. It was a journey you used to do by yourself until Lewis had been the brave, and first one, to ask you if he could tag along. He’d been to Senna’s tomb before, you knew that much, but the respect and adoration he held for your late father had you deciding he should be good company.

“I swear I had never seen my mom angrier. Can you imagine her with the speaker at Interlagos shouting to everyone with an ear that I shouldn’t be racing and if anything happened Ayrton was to blame cause I wasn’t even old enough to be there” You told a laughing Lewis while remembering when your father faked an ID so he could sneak you to the track and teach you how to race in your brand new - Mclaren themed – kart. A Christmas gift he went out of his way to get to the famous Brazilian track circuit in time to open day.

“You know, my favorites snippets of his life are the ones you talk about, Sundays at the pool, ice cream dates, kart running without your mom knowing. Whenever someone talks about him it’s always about his wins, his hardships, his cars and battles … it’s almost as if he didn’t exist beyond formula 1, like we froze just a fraction of him and forgot all about the rest.” 

You smiled at him, you liked how Lewis never questioned your feelings towards f1’s out of this world idolatry on your father, mainly because at the end of the day, to your 8 year old past self, Ayrton was first and foremost “pai”, the dude that thought you not to be afraid by throwing you into the ocean when no one was looking, the one that cooked instant noodles for dinner in spite of your mom’s pleads, the one that constantly tried to show you that love is a feeling we should act upon in the present and never wait for a so promised tomorrow.

“He would’ve liked you I think… would’ve hated to race you, for sure. But as a person, he would have probably seen you as one of the good ones, pointing out bullshit, fighting fia every chance you get, protecting the guys back at the garage, focusing on racing and not talking, looking out for everyone.” You answered truthly, as he respectfully held his hands behind his back looking at the tomb stone, while you casually sat in the edge of the stone, almost too comfortable around the place from all the visits you’ve done over the years.

“I think you should meet Galisteu someday, she’ll have way more interesting stories about him to tell you than I do.” You absentmindedly noted, remembering all she’s told you about your father, this other side to him you never got the time to see.

“Nah… we’re our truest around kids, his best version was the one you got to see. Now, what was that time he sneaked a stray dog onto your apartment?” he asked while reaching for your shoulder so you both could walk along the path back to the car awaiting to take you both back.

“I don’t think I really remember the sound of his voice” you sighed looking up at the Ipê tree just beside the tomb. You had shown Lewis a photo of what it looked like once in full blossom before, in the Brazilian winter, and he promised you he would eventually find the time to come see it in its full glory in late June.

The walk in the cemetery, the light hearted banter, him opening his heart on dreams and the future and the confessions you would eventually make to Lewis about Ayrton were part of the annual occurrence you had both unspokenly agreed on, but that one line seemed to have hit him hard enough he just motioned you to go on, no answers or remarks. 

“I mean, I know what his voice sounds like because there’s a thousand and one interviews with him, but I don’t think I can truly remember what he sounded like in real life … how he talked to me.” You explained it further, now looking at the Briton.

He engulfed you in a hug, the kind only he knew how, your tears leaving marks on his shoulders. You would rarely cry over anything related to your father, at least not in front of people anyway, but Lewis was… well, Lewis. You and Niki were the one who pushed, like hell, to sign him to Mercedes back in 2014 against everyone’s better judgment, and while you knew he would be every bit the driver and phenomenon he was, neither of you anticipated the friendship that came out of seeing him almost every GP you attended. A relationship that had crept its own way into your hearts, slowly allowing to see each other as something more than just good friends.

“He’s proud of you, wherever he is. I know that much” He whispered, leaving a soft kiss to your temple and bringing you even closer to his body.

“He would’ve crashed into Verstappen back in 2021, wouldn’t he?” He prompted out of nowhere, gazing seriously at the tomb as you observed him pondering over the possible outcomes of a race that, like a ghost, had been following him nonstop, specially with the São Paulo GP fast approaching and with it his chances of securing his 8th title, two races before the end of the season.

“Start another Senna vs. Prost ?! ” You thought out loud, trying to read into his expressions and mannerisms, a talent of his you weren’t quite as good.

“Maybe I should’ve done it”

“You’re not like that Lew. You’re you and no one, not a single person, wants someone else” Your exasperation clear in your voice, hands reaching for his chin as his eyes locked into yours and he nodded, an unspoken agreement between the two of you, one you had to hammer into his head from time to time, that he may have Ayrton as his idol but he was just as much of an icon to the sport, and to a million of kids out there.

“On Sunday you’re going to reach that top step in your red suit, fulfill Ayrton’s dream and claim a championship for Ferrari. You. Not him, nor anyone else” and come the end of the race, he did just that. Smiling down at the sea of people in a mix of old Mercedes merchs and new Ferrari ones, dedicating his trophy to all the other people who believed in the impossible with him. 

heyhey! You said you had a request but couldn’t see it and in case it was mine here i am once again humbling asking you to feed my delusions. I am the same person who asked for the one with the fake dating trope and the one where reader spawns into the lobby :))

But i am here now going for a more angsty route! >:) Granted, this is more of an OC x Alastor but im describing it more generic for the populace BUT HERE GOES

right before “Cover me” reader kept silently glancing over at Alastor which was on the dance floor, subconsciously making him approach her. He goes of course they have a (Important for later) conversation like “I havent seen you around here. Are you new around town?” “Just moved in actually~” “Well, Id love to give you a tour someday, the names Alastor” and he kisses her hand “Ah a charmer, ill have to be careful around you” (OR A MORE ELEGANT CONVERSATION THEN THAT I SUCK AT DIALOGUE) then theres the knife and gun scene and the team up

And then they get together after about a year or two and I dont wanna say theyre legally married but eventually use wife and husband terms because its more fancy and gives them more respect in eyes of others but they have been together for around 5 years at this point.

but then the events of 1925 happen where readers twin brother dies because some bastards set fire to his house and Reader has an argument with Alastor before eventually going alone to avenge her brother (theyre like “theres too many, youll die” “so be it!”)

Reader kills them all (duh) but because it was January and extremely cold she eventually gets hypothermia and during the delusions it gives she stumbles and gets impaled on an abandoned rusty fence spike and dies :3

Alastor find her and gives her a proper burial and 8 years later in 1933 while visiting readers grave he gets shot canonically

But these 8 years gave reader enoigh time in hell to establish her own dominance and due to the life she lived and the death of hypothermia- she gets turned into a sort of blizzard demon. Around 180 cm with black limbs, white fluffy hair and fluffy ears and a white tail as a sinner form and for the demon form im thinking of the faceless Room Guardians by Anyaboz on Instagram (incredible artist btw) with ice powers like summoning weapons and ice spikes and ice touches and moving freely (like Kindred’s wolf in League) in her blizzard. Taking over half the pentagram like this-

Until 1933 when Alastor pops up in hell, does his demon business and eventually wants to check out these frozen parts and goes into a bar very similar to the one they met and sees reader at the table and then THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME CONVERSATION THEY HAD WHEN THEY FIRST MET (maybe with the knife and gun scene too hehe) and theyre both like “i forgive you” or smth idk maybe they just have a silent agreement- either way.

After they met the blizzard stops and no one knows why or who did it :>, readers identity as the blizzard demon remaining a secret

BTW I LOVE YOU FOR MAKING MY DREAMS COME TRUE- if you want more i have a ton of ideas because brain rot- (also lil side note i kind of imagine reader as albino because it would fit my ocs lore a bit more- but keeping it basic would fit everyones ideas of their own reader so! do what you please you already made my day better by reading my ideas come to life :3))

Frostbite (Alastor x Reader)

N7 Month Day 30(!!!): Heritage

(AO3 Link - OMG! We're here! I made it! WE made it!! My end note from AO3 is going to go in a separate post on here because I do want to include it. For now, I hope you enjoy this feels-y piece about Calain [Shepard and Garrus's adoptive daughter]. Note that this is pretty much all about adoption-related themes.)

Calain Vakarian was turning 10 years old, and she had a decision to make.

She sat at the dining table staring at the datapad in front of her. On the screen were two holos of herself, taken staring straight at the camera specifically for this reason. Over one, she had drawn on colony markings identical to her father’s - her adoptive father’s - and on the other, she had drawn Invictus markings like the ones in the only holos she had of her birth parents, from their official Hierarchy ID records.

Carthidax and Mercia Veranis. Their names, birth dates, places of birth, and where they had lived when the Reapers came - that was all Calain really knew about them. She’d only been 3 when they died, and even though she still had dreams about Reapers sometimes, her mother and father were never there.

But… they were still her parents. And so were Garrus and Viola. So what was she going to do?

Neither Palaven nor Invictus was really home to her. She’d only been to Cipritine a few times to visit Grandpa Castis and Aunt Sol, and Invictus was just fuzzy memories from the group home before she came to live on the Citadel. But there were no Citadel markings - turians born there inherited them from their parents.

She idly zoomed in and out on each photo. It felt wrong to make a “pros and cons” list like she’d learned in school - this was too big for that. But if she couldn’t decide for the reason she was supposed to, maybe she’d just pick the ones she liked better. The ones from the part of Palaven that Dad was from were blocky, but a nice shade of blue - hers would be a little lighter to stand out on her dark brown plates. The Invictus markings were more elaborate. They were usually white, and they covered most of the person's face in precise shapes across their forehead, nose, chin, and mandibles.

She liked them both, really. They each tugged at her heart for reasons she couldn’t understand.

A distressed subvocal rumble started to rise in her chest, but she pushed it down, not wanting Dad to hear from the next room. They’d said this was her decision to make, and she didn’t want them to think she couldn’t handle it.

She sucked in a breath and let it out slowly. What else was there? There weren’t many turians from Invictus on the Citadel, so maybe she should try to fit in? The ones in her class were starting to wear their markings, and she hadn’t seen any yet. Then again, her parents were always saying not to worry about “peer pressure”.

Calain wished someone could tell her the right thing to do. She didn’t want to make her parents feel like she didn’t love them or wished she was still on Invictus. They said they would support her decision no matter what - that it was okay and even admirable to want to honor the place she was born.

She swiped the two holos aside for the moment and pulled up the few that the group home had sent - the only ones she had of herself on Invictus. None with her birth parents. Any of those that had existed were lost in the war.

Her mandibles trembled a little. She didn’t usually think about them - it was so long ago and she didn’t remember them anyway - but now, trying to make this decision, she wondered. She asked questions she’d never asked before.

Did they die saving her? Would they be happy with her new home?

The folder the photos were stored in was labeled the same as it had been when the home first sent it: “Calain Veranis - 2188”. Vakarian had only officially been her name for not even two years, but she would probably have it forever now. Someday Shepard too, even if Mom was nervous about it.

Would that have made Carthidax and Mercia sad?

She flicked back to the two side-by-side photos. This time she only needed a few moments to think before she shut off the datapad and went to the living room where her parents were watching a vid. Her nervous subvocals gave her away before she could say anything, and Dad paused the vid. "Hey, c'mere," he said, waving her over. "What's going on?"

They made room for her on the couch, but she stayed standing - she wanted to be able to see them both when she told them. "Um…" she started, twisting her fingers around each other. "I think… No, I know. I've decided. About the colony markings."

Mom smiled a little. "That's great, Calain! What did you decide?"

She took a very deep breath, her heart beating fast. "I want Invictus markings," she forced out all at once. Then, before Mom or Dad could react: "It's not that I don't want yours, Dad, or that I don't like Palaven. It's just that they're- I mean, my parents - my birth parents - they're gone and I don't have their name anymore, and I like having your name but I don't want it to be like- like they never existed, so I thought-"

"Hey, hey, slow down," Dad said gently, taking her hand and tugging her into his arms. She hadn't even realized her subvocals were so all over the place until he interrupted, but she eagerly accepted the hug. She felt Mom's hand rubbing her back too, and when she felt a little bit calmer, Dad pulled back to look at her. "You don't need to worry, sweetheart - we meant it when we said we'd support you no matter what. All that matters is that you're sure and that you took the decision seriously."

"And it's obvious you did," Mom added. "I think you've got a very good reason, wanting to honor them in some way, and I'm proud of you." She leaned over to kiss Calain's cheek and pulled her into a hug as well. "We love you so much, and so did they. It's okay that they're a part of you, too."

Calain wrapped her arms around Mom and squeezed hard, her subvocals buzzing with relief and love and safety. "Thank you," she said, her voice muffled in Mom's shoulder. "I love you guys, too."

Big Sister ♡

"sou had been wandering the frostburn tundra with their big sister for many years. she had taken care of them as far back as sou can remember- ever since their parents had 'gotten lost'. sou often wonders if theyll ever see them again.. kira is cagey about it, but she takes good care of sou, so they try not to bother her about it often.

the tundra is too cold to travel when the moon is out, so they can only travel during the day, when the cold of the moon is at it's weakest, and during the night, they huddle around a great fire for warmth. true thirian flame does not produce much heat, but its enough to keep a thirian alive in the tundra.. barely.

sou wonders why they dont live at one of the many villages they visit for supplies, but she tells them she doesnt think the tundra is a safe place to live, and she knows somewhere better- somewhere where water flows freely, and foilage grows as tall as buildings! sou dreams of seeing it someday, and cant wait to see it with their big sister"

NFJDFNJKSDF okay so this does partially depend on how we're adressing the crossover at all, being that it is a crossover ship i've always imagined the eggqueen family including lancer, but i think that in a universe where queen exists in the sonic world i think the dynamic works better id she wasn't a robotnik creation, and rather an advanced android with an unknown creator, if you wanted to build onto that idea maybe she could be from the future or smth, idk~

ignoring crossover logic and excluding lancer,

-Queen is of course equally evil mastermind levels as Eggman, so as far as the like 'egg empire' goes she is very involved in the evil planning and scheming

-i think Eggman would've dated her later on, so Tails (is he called tails in this au or miles or smth? ill call him Tails for now) would've had to warm up to her and all that

-They probably met at a more casual setting so Everyone just noticed "Boss has been out alot lately" before knowing he was seeing someone

-they might've met before then but if they have then like its been years since they've seen eachother

-Queen definitely isn't one to like, particularly 'try' to get her partner's family to like them but she is naturally just inclined to be a mother figure so she definitely is like "YES CHILD MUST ADOPT"

-Queen is def a spoil the kids kinda mom and while her default is to be eccentric and overbearing she's surprisingly good at giving like, good heart to heart pep talks, and is a really encouraging mother

-It is fairly clear that queen and eggman like each other quite alot, it was probably at least a couple monthes til he started inviting her to his lair/place and she visited and stayed over fairly frequently, probably moved in around a year into the relationship maybe a little less (this is fiction so relationships between robot milfs and egg shaped scientists dont need to be realistic)

-i think itd be funny if they both were planning to propose around the same time and both told tails

-not sure how long it'd take for dating to proposal and fiancés to married tho

-eggman would be a little awkward when introducing queen

-since queen's more openly affectionate that could help balance eggman's reluctance to admit that yes tails is his son

-it would definitely be interesting to have tails to dislike queen at first, I think Eggman would really have no clue how to handle that, he is very in love with Queen and also "bad at emotions tm"

-Queen can be insensitive and intense as a parent but like, i think when it counts she listens and does like, try

❄️i think maybe theres sort of a post death limbo that cats get sent to after being killed for a second time.

❄️these limbos contain important locations from their lives (or simply echoes of these locations, as the dark forest lake wouldnt be in bris‘ limbo but there is something reminiscent of it)

❄️sometimes, if a cat has a close enough connection to another double dead cat, they can gain access to the other‘s limbo. bris, redwillow, and snowtuft are all closely connected, so they are able to visit each other.

❄️they spent a lot of their time worrying about the world they left behind. eventually they learned that they could watch over the world through the "moonpool"/"dark forest lake" in their limbo.

❄️they dont regret that they killed ashfur. they only regret not saying goodbye to their loved ones and making amends with their siblings.

❄️they spend a lot of time with redwillow and snowtuft, telling stories and learning about each others clans.

❄️they hear the distant voices of their loved ones, sometimes, or the distinct laughter of kits. it made them deeply upset at first, but now it reassures them that their loved ones are happy and safe.

❄️they still hope that someday, theyll see everyone they loved again.

❄️i think eventually sparrowfeather, silverhawk, and maggottail fade and are connected to the other three limbos. they join in on the stories and talks about their clans.

❄️id like to think that sparrowfeather knows how to swim and teaches bris

locations in bris' limbo include:

🗺the pool of starry memories, the aforementioned moonpool/df lake combo. it is a pitch black pool containing endless amounts of stars. it sits in the middle of their limbo, a spiral path leading to the shore just as the real moonpool's path does. with a swipe of a paw over the surface, anything a cat wishes to see can be viewed. this is how bris watches over their loved ones, communicates with redwillow for the first time, and sends her dying dream back onto earth.

🗺the bramble thicket, the place where bris caught the mouse that allowed them to pass their warriors assessment, lies northeast of the pool of starry memories. bris dug a small ditch beneath it and lined it with moss and flowers. it is a warm and comfortable space. this serves as bris' nest.

🗺the endless ice lake, reflective of the lake the clans live around. due to its importance in their life, it is present in their limbo. it is south of the pool of starry memories.

🗺the mossy quarry, an overgrown version of the thunderclan camp, lies not far from the endless ice lake. it is filled with moss, vines, flowers, and herbs. bris has blocked off the leader's den with vines.

🗺the island of dreams sits in the middle of the endless ice lake. it is the entry spot for visit spirits, as well as where bris first arrived. a constant full moon is present here, no matter what the time of day is outside of it. it is lit by glowing mushrooms and fireflies. it is usually the meeting place for bris and their friends.

🗺the gorge to oblivion is far more akin to where bris died. it is a cliff that lies between the rest of bris' limbo and the pool of starry memories, and has a straight drop into pitch black, starless water. it is unknown what happens if a cat falls in. a large, mossy tree trunk serves as a bridge. it is reminiscent of the branch bris shoved over in the df.

🗺the clearing of the rebels is also present near the endless ice lake. it is a mirror of the rebel camp/skyclans old camp. it is very peaceful, and often used by bris as a thinking space.

🗺the endless meadows are on the far side of the mossy quarry. it is a massive, seemingly endless flower field filled with symbolic flowers. a massive pond sits in the middle of it, with a small island in the middle. an ancient willow tree grows on the island amongst lush vegetation.

🗺the rest of bris' limbo is made up of a maple, oak, pine, and cedar. there are seasons here, but a cool breeze is constantly blowing. winter remains the longest season here. it is common to see fireflies and glowing mushrooms. it is incredibly peaceful and safe. it is constantly snowing above the trees, though this snow only ever drifts beneath them in the winter. distant mountains can be seen from the tops of trees. oaks, pines, and cedars match their actual placement around the lake, while maples grow around the pool of starry memories, the gorge to oblivion, and the bramble thicket. streams and rivers are also present in their original placements. parts of the limbo (such as the endless meadows and the endless ice lake) fade into a white mist on their far ends.

lots of history with this girl; soo i found out about her during my first mugen phase ? so like 11-13ish,, there was a genre of character that was modeled to play like smash bros characters, and in looking those up, i found one of this weird woman... hong meiling was her name ? she was related to this weird frog girl whose hat was evil and maybe the mcdonalds song girl ? whatever the case i needed to download her. and i couldnt because the download was down. this sent me uo the wall for several years and implanted her name into my brain,, up until i got into touhou proper thanks to you actually !!

so now im learning about the lore and the characters, and turns out theres more to this meiling than being elusive and pretty !!! so this gloomy, scary place behind one of the touhou worlds most significant battles is guarded by this friendly, easygoing redhead ? and shes fiercely loyal and protective of the mansion as well as gensoukyou, despite being employed by people who almost ate the world right up ? thats so wonderful !! shes so cool !!! and she takes care of flowers, and canonically doesnt like dodging bullets and tries catching them instead, and no one has any idea of what she is...!!!! theres so much to her !!! but most of all, the absolute tragedy of some of her mansionmates getting boatloads of development and lore, while shes,, basically in the same place she started in ? even flan did ! but meiling still gets depicted as just lazying about, despite that trait of hers being in favour of working in the scarlet devil mansion, which people fear and dont visit ? or rather used to... so she should have evolved along with it,, so that sadness also makes me even more attached to her in a way !!

i know shes not the most mistreated character in touhou or anything, far from it since shes a th6 girl and those get Everything and everyone sick of them but... idk !! id love to see more of her shine someday ouo

HI THANK YOU!!!! god it really has. and the weather here has been so gloomy recently that i have no energy to do anything even if i have the time. the horrors are endless but we stay silly. and thankies once again!!! i MIRACULOUSLY managed to not fail anything so were all good. unfortunately this month is also already packed but luckily its stuff i more or less either know [polish] or like [geography]. and two of the teachers i disliked got fired AJDKFJG. history guy for offering to raise students' grades if they go around spreading konfederacja [a polish extremely far-right party] flyers and that math teacher who couldnt count for saying hitler was a good person. just another day in a polish school, i guess. but both of our replacement teachers are very cool so we're so back. god yeah totally!!! not only do i have something to do for a while but i ALSO get to eat at the end. literally a win/win situation. yeah that Is annoying but as i mentioned its luckily not as common over here.... and ouhggh pain. gran canaria is VERY beautiful but id also like to visit the other canary islands someday...... the carnival on tenerife is one of the, if not the biggest, ones in spain so thatd be fun to see as well. i only missed the celebrations on gran canaria by one day which was quite annoying but oh well. GOD YEAH. im still convinced School Air is a thing bc i simply cannot explain so many things without that assumption. Make Room For Jesus

LUKE 2:7 KJV 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

You probably think it was terrible that there was "no room in the inn" and the baby Jesus had to be born in a stable and lay in a manger.

If the people then truly understood who Jesus was, no doubt they would have gladly opened their homes and provided much better for Him. But do we not often make the same mistake?

The situation for Jesus today must be even more sad. Most of us still do not make room for Jesus in our lives.

For some the reason is busyness, just being so caught up in making a living and trying to take care of things that they feel they just don't have time. (The truth is that with Jesus' help, life will be better and easier.)

For others, it is fear: fear of what Jesus might think, or say, or do, if He were invited, or even allowed access, into their lives. (This fear is baseless because Jesus does not wreck things but improves them. They need to know Jesus truly loves them and desires the best for them, which He does.)

For some the reason is just lack of knowledge: they don't know about Jesus and His love. (For these people, you are the answer. You can share the wonderful story of God's love for mankind.)

You may acknowledge Jesus and claim He is your Lord and Savior, but do you neglect Him, or give Him a central place?

Do you talk to Him about everything? Do you thank Him for everything good? You should.

Jesus does not want you to feel guilty about neglecting Him. He loves you and just wants you to return His love. Jesus desires a central place in your life so He can bless you more.

Don't ignore Jesus.
