Kareigawa Station on the Hisatsu Line is the oldest operating train station in Kagoshima Prefecture. 🚃 Located in the mountains of Kirishima City, this wooden station started operation in 1903 and sells bento boxes for train otaku and local riders every Saturday and Sunday. Afterwards, we took at dip at @kanmuridake_onsen in Ichikikushikino and it was spectacular. DEVELOPING: Hundreds of thousands of residents in Japan ordered to evacuate from landslide

(JT) – Heavy rains prompted an evacuation order for some 6,000 residents in 2,859 households in Ichikikushikino, Kagoshima Prefecture, on Monday morning, as well as an evacuation advisory issued to more than 1.21 million people in 550,000 households in Miyazaki, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima prefectures as the Meteorological Agency warned of mudslides and floods. In the city of Kagoshima, a

woman in her 70s died after being buried in mud up to her neck at her home in the Honjo district following a landslide on a mountain behind her house.

#fbf to chillin' at 紫尾温泉神ノ湯 Shibi Onsen's Kami no Yu (Water of the Gods) Hot Spring. This small onsen town is unpretentious and the water is highly alkaline, leaving bathers feelings smooth, balanced, and refreshed🧖🏻‍♂️They also have a pet budgie that lives at the front counter and comes out to greet guests. The bird's name is "B", as in Shibi.
