make out sessions with ibusaki were very rare. he wasn't the most openly affectionate man out there, usually opting to hugging you from behind and resting his head on your shoulder and giving it a little soft kiss. maybe he'd hold your hand and interlock fingers as you gently tugged him along with you. however, the few times you managed to get more passion out of your otherwise quiet lover were always memorable.

soft orange light filtered through the window to ibusaki's dorm as the sun continued to lower beneath the horizon. an arm held you tight against his body, a hand gently tracing patterns over your side as he flooded you with affection.

"you did good, shun," you said quietly, slightly breathless. "i know you would have liked to get through to the second phase, but i'm proud of you for getting into the autumn elections in the first place." reaching up to his face, you brushed his fluffy hair back slightly so you could see his eyes properly. humming to yourself in content, you rested your forehead against his and pressed another kiss to his lips.

"thanks..." he murmured against your mouth, dipping in to taste more of you. "means a lot." gently, he rolled over so that he could hover over you slightly, earning a surprised squeak from you. "so cute," he commented, carefully placing a hand on your neck to feel your pulse quicken as he continued to capture your lips with his.

"'s embarrassing to say," you whined, bringing your hands to your face to hide the flustered expression from your boyfriend. he chuckled at your antics, instead giving little butterfly kisses to your hands.

"the truth hurts," he responded, prying your hands away from your face and nuzzling his nose against yours. shyly wrapping your arms around his neck, you returned the affection. seeing ibusaki with the sunlight behind him illuminating the outline of his hair made you wonder if you truly did find an angel. the moment was short lived though, as the organic flow between your bodies came to a screeching halt at the sound of a ceiling panel being pushed to the side.

"hey guys! we're gonna have- oh?" isshiki's easy-going smile warped into a mischievous smirk. "getting a bit frisky, are we?"

a breezy laugh escaped the senior's throat and he waved his hand dismissively. "it's ok, as you were." reaching into his pocket, he threw a small square wrapper onto the bed where you and ibusaki lay. "wrap it before you tap it, kiddos!" he called, swiftly putting the ceiling panel back.

ibusaki groaned, dropping his weight onto you and hiding his face in the crook of your neck. "he's gonna tell everyone..."

you giggled at his concern, carding a hand through his hair. "probably."

so the first time you two bumped into each other was when you were running late for class. you were desperately trying to fix your tie while running towards your class, not paying attention to where you were going. you didn’t want to be late for your first day.

meanwhile, shun was making his way back to the dorm since he forgot something. looking up, he saw you running towards him and it seemed like you didn’t even notice him. before he could move, or tell you to stop, you already bumped into him. you blurted out a quick sorry and helped him get up before you ran away again, determined to not miss class.

shun didn’t recognize you, and just assumed you were a transfer student.

second time you guys bumped into each other was at night. you were making your way back from a late night cooking in the campus, and were trying to find polar star dormitory.

but it was way too dark, and your phone was already dead. so what did you do? you decided to just sit in the middle of the road. there was no way you were going to find the dorms in this state, so might as well just rest there.

you were about to fall asleep when someone tripped over you. guess who? ofc its shun ! <3

“oh hello, stranger! what brings you here?” you nonchalantly asked him, as if he didn’t just find you asleep in the middle of the road. you smiled up at him, trying to hide your embarrassment.

meanwhile, shun was starting to question his sanity. was he hallucinating? he looked at you again, noticing the scratches on your knees and the twigs on your hair. what the hell happened to you? should he call campus security?

Time does fly by quickly. You were packing your stuff, ready to leave the Polar Star dormitory. Unfortunately, you got expelled for having low grades. You sighed looking at your window, the rain was heavy but the school required you to leave instantly. A sigh escapes your lips as you see the acceptance letter in your drawer. Knocks echoed through your room.

"Y/n? are you there?" a voice asked from the other side of the door. None of your dorm mates knew you were expelled. You walked to the door and opened it. Revealing Megumi with a worried face. "Yes, Megumi? Did you need anything?" You smiled at the girl, blocking the view of your room. "You didn't come when I called you down for dinner." You put your hands together in an apologetic manner, "Sorry I didn't hear you, but I wasn't hungry anyway." She nods "I understand, sorry for disturbing you!" she then walks away.

You closed the door once again. As if sensing the mood, the clouds started pouring. Thunder was heard and the rain was harshly tapping against your window. Going to your vinyl player, you took out La Vie En Rose by Louis Armstrong and spun it. Backing away from your vinyl player, you slowly swayed to the instrumental.

"Hold me close and hold me fast, the magic spell you cast. this is la vie en rose."

You sang, holding a spatula as a makeshift microphone. A smile creeping up your face as you imagine yourself in his arms. "But there's someone else in his arms already." you thought to yourself.

Your dormmates heard a song playing from upstairs, they decided to check it out. Going up the stairs, they see the light in your room seep through the cracks of the door.

They turned to each other as they heard you sing and smiled. Shun held out his hand towards Ryoko. She blushed and put her hand on it, "May I have this dance?" Shun jokes. Ryoko smiled, "I'd never say no to you." With that, they started dancing outside your door.

"And when you speak, angels, sing from above. Everyday words seem to turn into love songs."

Everyone soon joined in the dancing and enjoyed themselves, forgetting why they went up here in the first place. While you spun around by yourself in your room, enjoying the moment. Then you heard laughter outside of your door, you then knew you had an audience. By the clicking of shoes against the floor, you assumed they were dancing. "I never knew you were such a good dancer Shun" you hear Ryoko compliment, "I learned from someone," he replied to the girl.

"Give your heart and soul to me. And life will always be, La vie en rose."

You stopped singing letting the song end. Smiling about what Shun said to Ryoko, "He remembers that?" you thought to yourself as you reminisced the time where you taught him to dance. As the song ended, you opened your door and saw everyone enjoying their time.

"You guys enjoyed that?" she jokes at them and they nodded. Yuki clapped her hands and smiled, "you sound exactly like Meraki!". You stiffened at her comment, "I could never sound that amazing..". Yuki showed you a thumbs up, "You sound amazing!" Satoshi then cut in, "It's late, let's sleep."

Everyone agreed and were heading to their dorm rooms, you greeted them goodnight and went inside your room again. You had to leave by tonight. Finishing your packing, you dragged your suitcase and put on your backpack then head out to the main area. "Y/n-san" a voice came from behind you as you were about to reach for the door.

"Fumio-san, you waited for me?" you turned to the old woman, tears starting to form. She spread her arms wide open and you let go of your suitcase and ran into her arms, hugging her tightly. "Fumio-san, I don't want to go yet." She wraps her arms around you and places her hand on atop your head, "Oh, my dear Y/n.." It was sad if we're going to be truthful. Fumio-san was your mother figure throughout everything. She knew everything and she was the only one who knew about this. "I have to go" you pulled away sadly, she smiles at you with tears in her eyes. "I'm proud of you." Tears rolled off your cheeks, "Fumio-san, you don't have to.." "It's the truth, now go before it reaches midnight."

You nod and hug her one last time. Picking up your suitcase and going to the door, you opened it and left the dormitory. You rushed to the gate, not wanting to prolong this anymore. Opening the gate, you left the dormitory grounds. Looking back with a sad smile, you then went down the road, in hopes to find a cab.

I like how mature she is in comparison to most of her classmates, but is still made out to be a person you can have fun with. She just has an insane amount of grace and elegance to her in all of her sophisticated calmness and I love her established role as big-sister-figure within the dorm and how it shows specifically when she interacts with Yuki and Megumi.

Favorite episode (scene if movie) - Episode 23/Chapter 54 (AE Premlins), Chapter 63 (She helped out Soma for his Shokugeki against Alice and it was interesting seeing them interact o3o), Chapter 96 (This is where she had the moment with Shun)

Her bubbliness and joyful attitude are just very endearing and it’s always massive fun to watch her. She also has a bunch of funny moments and I enjoy how overdramatic she can get sometimes. To me, she’s a very fun and lovable example of an energetic character.

Why I like them - *deep breath* I like smart characters and his very role in Shokugeki is to be the smart guy, but there’s more to that…I like how he’s still shown to be a hard-worker who studies hard to survive in Totsuki’s harsh environment where he’s surrounded by natural geniuses and how he truly excels in the intellectual area. He’s also just great fun to watch wether he’s onto explaining something solemnly or greatly upset about something. I also do like the “Everybody’s-Doormat-Character” who complains about that status a lot because….that’s quite literally my life. Zenji is very relateable for me, because I too have to deal with people who never listen to me and I too am DAMN EASILY EXHAUSTED. Zenji has both serious moments and comedic moments and both work for me and I ju ST LOVE HIM SO MUCH.

Why I don’t

Favorite episode (scene if movie) - CHAPTER 23/55 MY DUDES (AKA. Unpopular opinion - *DEEP BREATH* My son tends to get underestimated a lot and be brushed off as just a comic-relief and no-E10-Material and I just…..*sighs* People in the past, did consider Shun E10-Material and Zenji had the exact same score as Shun in the AE Premlins, so I can’t see why he shouldn’t have the same potential. I mean it doesn’t matter because we never got to see any of the two in the Elite 10 so meep, but I am just….sad about the fact that barely anyone is giving Zenji even a chance.

A wish - *cries* I just wanted to see him cook again*

An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen - *LOOKS STRAIGHT AT LES DESSERT 3 IN CONTEMPT*, (also honestly him (+ Daigo and Shoji) lusting after those two “hot” judges in RDC felt really out of place, out of character and just cringe…and I hate it.)

there was something about laying with ibusaki on a hill during the sunset. you weren’t sure if it was the light breeze that ruffled his fluffy hair slightly, the amazing food you both had brought that evening or the orange sunlight on his skin that made him look like an absolute fucking angel.

filling the silence was both the occasional chirp of a bird or the crickets in the distance. the array of food that had been brought was now gone, and only a stack of empty containers tucked away in the woven picnic basket set aside on the grass beside you.

laying on the picnic blanket, you turned your head to stare at ibusaki. with his hair covering his eyes, you weren’t sure if he was asleep or not, but you soon got an answer as you reached to run your fingers through his hair. raising his own hand, he pulled your hand from his head gently, using his other arm to bring you closer to him and burying his face into the crook of your neck.

‘shun?’ you asked, trying to suppress the giggles building in your chest at the feeling of his hair tickling your neck.

‘let’s just stay like this for a while,’ he said, gripping you tighter. you sighed at his behaviour, but the smile on your face showed that you were perfectly fine with this predicament; a clingy boyfriend who would never admit how much he loves physical touch.

as the sun continued to set, your eyes settled on the stars that were slowly starting to illuminate the sky and your hand that kept running through ibusaki’s auburn locks slowed, and eventually stopped. the smell of smoke still filled your nostrils, but at this point you’d grown to love it.

ibusaki turned his head to see what you were looking at and huffed childishly, returning to his previous position. a surprised gasp escaped your lips as you felt him press a kiss to your neck.

‘attention back here, darling,’ he mumbled, planting more along your neck, slowly trailing up to your jaw. the hand that rested against your waist traced patterns over your hip almost microscopically, and though you couldn’t see it, his gaze was trained on your face, relishing in the flutter of your eyelids and shallow breaths due to his advances.

rolling to hover above you, hands beside your head and legs either side of yours, he laughed dryly at your flustered expression, a finger coming to tug at the collar of his turtle neck before pushing his hair back and holding it away from his face. you inhaled sharply at his gaze, meeting his steel eyes and whether you intended to or not, you’d burnt that image into your mind. ibusaki on top of you with his hair pushed back and a devilish smirk adorning his lips.

‘are we really gonna do this here?’ you asked shyly as he leaned down to capture your lips with his. ‘what if people hear?’

‘then i guess you’re just gonna have to be quiet, my love.’

You waved at your dormmates, bidding them good night. "But you won't be able to listen to the Meraki Radio," Isshiki said to you with his head tilted. "It's my bedtime, I plan to wake up early tomorrow. Goodnight everyone.", you rushed to your bedroom once out of everyone's view. Entering and locking your bedroom door, you panted. You clenched your fists and remembered the scene that caused you to run to your room.

Ryoko and Shun were talking while you secretly stared at them. His hand moving towards her face and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. Her beautiful giggles echoed in the dining area as she blushed. You fully supported them, even if you liked Shun. He then catches your gaze and nods at you. You gave him a thumbs up to signify that he should continue doing what he was doing. He turned back to Ryoko as you sighed to yourself and went to Megumi to help her from Souma.

You sighed as you heard your alarm ring. Pressing snooze, you went to your chair and sat down. You eyed the headphones in front of you and hesitated to go on air. "They're expecting me— no, they're expecting Meraki." you thought to yourself and put on the headphones. Adjusting your mic, you then went on air.

"Hello again everyone, it's Meraki!" you exclaimed and saw the replies everyone posted on your site. "I decided that I'm going to sing for you guys a new song that I recently produced," you told your audience. "I hope you enjoy!" you say and played the track that you made.

"You call me on the telephone, you feel so far away. You tell me to come over, there's some games you wanna play. I'm walking to your house, nobody's home. Just me and you and you and me alone"

Your dorm mates were cheering downstairs as you continued to sing.

"We're just playing hide and seek. It's getting hard to breathe under the sheets with you. I don't want to play no games. I'm tired of always chasing, chasing after you"

Closing your eyes, you let the tears flow, not resisting it at all. "Is Meraki crying..?" Yuki said in surprise as her eyes read the comments while listening.

The scene between Ryoko and Shun replayed in your head as if it was a broken record. Clenching your fists, you continued to sing.

"I don't give a fuck about you anyways. Whoever said I gave a shit 'bout you? You never share your toys or communicate. I guess I'm just a play date to you"

You opened your eyes and saw the comments, seeing everyone was worried about you. Smiling after reading them, you continued singing.

"Wake up in your bedroom and there's nothing left to say. When I try to talk you're always playing board games. I wish I had monopoly over your mind. I wish I didn't care all the time."

It was true, you wished you didn't care about Shun all the time. You have fallen for him since middle school, he plagued your mind.

"I don't give a fuck about you anyways. Whoever said I gave a shit 'bout you? You never share your toys or communicate. I guess I'm just a play date to you"

Shun decided to leave the rest, saying he was sleepy. Ryoko smiled at him and bid him goodnight and sweet dreams. Hiding his blush, he nodded at her and left Marui's room.

"Ring around the rosy. I never know, I never know what you need. Ring around the rosy, I wanna give you, wanna give you. What you need"

He passed your room and heard the same song on Meraki Radio. He didn't think it was weird at first until he heard the singing from your room. Peeking in quietly, he saw you with a mic and headphones on.

"I don't give a fuck about you anyways. Whoever said I gave a shit 'bout you? You never share your toys or communicate. I guess I'm just a play date to you"

Lies, lies, they're all lies. You loved him. You did give a fuck about him. Even if it's just a playdate, you wanted to spend more time with him. You wanted him, but he was too far away. Relaxing your shoulders and wiping away your tears, you sang the last lines.

"You know I give a fuck about you every day. Guess it's time that I tell you the truth. If I share my toys, will you let me stay? Don't wanna leave this play date with you"

You sighed finishing the song and stopped the track from replaying.

"Thank you, everyone, for listening to Meraki Radio today. I hope you understand that I will be ending the Radio earlier than expected due to personal reasons. Thank you and goodnight."

You went off air and heard the door shut. Shun immediately dashed to his room. He was such an idiot, how could he have not noticed? He is your best friend. The mic on your shelf, you staying up all night to make "recipes" at your room, and of course— you excusing yourself every time Meraki Radio was on. Other than you being Meraki of the Meraki Radio; something was wrong.
