allow me to indulge my gay theatre nerd side for a moment. now if i'm being perfectly honest, i normally don't like jukebox musicals. they usually feel too forced to me and i prefer a musical that actually has songs, y'know, written specifically for it and isn't just trying to fit songs into a story they weren't made for. it just feels more creative to me. if i wanted to listen to preexisting songs, i'd just listen to them at home without the extra story. i don't need a musical for that. HOWEVER. if anyone wanted to write a jukebox musical using fall out boy or mcr songs i would eat that shit UP no questions asked. in fact if i had any talent i'd write one myself
#this post brought to you by me watching my school's production of mamma mia today#and gaining new appreciation for the art of the jukebox musical#i actually have MANY thoughts about this because mcr in particular literally only writes concept albums#so it's PERFECT for the jukebox musical format. each of their albums already has a story#they just need dialogue and character development to tie them together.#in a similar vein (hear me out on this) the youngblood chronicles is basically a jukebox musical already.#it's a cohesive story created out of songs that weren't necessarily intended to TELL a cohesive story.#the only thing it needs is some extra scenes of dialogue to flesh out the plot and develop the characters#and you've got a perfectly good jukebox musical.#pete wentz hit me up i have Ideas. we can make the stage production of the youngblood chronicles a reality.#have you ever heard of evil dead the musical? then you know where i'm going with this. i'm talking GALLONS of fake blood babeyyy#even other fall out boy songs (especially prehiatus ones) already have such strong imagery and story elements.#i think there's a lot to work with here.#and sm(f)s feels so much like a musical to me already. like a nonlinear musical focused on one person's perspective or something.#i think there is so much to be done here and so many directions it could be taken#anyway if someone wants to collab on a fall out boy or mcr jukebox musical hit me up i am READY and i have THOUGHTS

#song of the day#'I don't ask for much / truth be told I'd settle / for a life less frightening'#another song that when I sing it alone it doesn't sound much like the original but I do so like to sing it#check me stirring my roux humming 'these lives we live test negative for happiness' sweetly to myself#today was Friday and I'm still trying to decide if I'm satisfied with the amount of work I got done this week#I suppose I'll have to be#I had my weekly report meeting and again the updates my boss asked for in the meeting were not the ones she asked me to prepare#so I split-screened her and delivered the prepared updates as I frantically opened and updated the new request#and then when she finished making politely falsely interested sounds (I'm not bitter I'm not I'm not) she asked again for the new update#and by then I had it ready! saved it as I brought up the share-screen and showed it to her#too frustrated in the moment to be properly proud of myself but now it's hours later and I'm feeling a little smug about it#little back-pats for me#I have something like a project timeline worked out for the idiot project#and I did some good work in the garden (nasturtium growing up the post under the bird feeder. very pleased it took the transplant so well)#and I sooooort of sorted the freezer stuff. kind of. mostly we ate the things I wanted to rearrange but I've got a plan for moving forward#the last non-work thing I'd really wanted to accomplish this week was getting my queue set up again here#I've gone through my drafts and done some prep but as you can see the queue isn't actually running again yet#hopefully I'll do that tomorrow. we'll see how it goes#the queue may have to wait until Sunday because I must confess if I can accomplish only one single solitary thing tomorrow#I would like it to be six hours of uninterrupted sleep. may it please the gods I shall rest tomorrow. blessed weekend#edit: wait wait I'm a fool I'm a fool I just typed 'May 3' and still I am a fool#it's May the Fourth!!#happy star wars day my loves if I don't get the queue up today after all#it's because I'm reshuffling everything because I've got a new influx of SW posts to distribute!!

i'm excited to move but i'm So Anxious about quitting my job. i've kept putting off telling them but i think i just need to get it out. and the thing is i never wanted to be here and i am getting so tired and sad and feeling so stuck i just need to get out. even if that means moving back to my hometown. and geographically it's closer to where i want to be.

good morning!!!!! here's my thoughts on the new song:
first of all, i cried when i listened to it for the first time?? it's exactly the direction i've been hoping they'd go musically. i love garden's gate, of course, but the gvf songs i really love are the classic, straightforward rock n roll songs. second, meeting the master kind of sounds like southern rock to me, like a marshall tucker band or allman brothers type sound. it's very very exciting to think that they might be exploring different types of rock n roll subcultures as they go back to their roots!!!!
#i'm so ready for this new era#this is the first time i've actually been in it for the transition to a new era bc i came in at the beginning of strange horizons#but anyways...... i really really like this new song and i can't wait to see what they're going to come up with next <3333#maddie.txt#meeting the master

I made a Hazbin Hotel (serie + pilot) music tier list.
I pretty much like all of them except for Poison (and Mimzy's part in Hell's Greatest Dad), which for me is gotta be a D tier, ever since released it has had a LOT of hype but I can't help as for me the lyrics on the chorus feel extremely lazy, and it shocks me how I seem to be the only one not loving Poison/preferring Addict.
Lowkey also found It Starts With Sorry and the heaven song a bit boring but they were so generic they're excused, I was expecting way more from Poison.
