I'm. intrigued by what they're doing with Junko here. is the best word I have for it.
I can see Junko doing these things, but I have a hard time seeing Junko being careless.
But I think Izuru summed it up best when he asked: Junko, knowing you couldn't win, why are you here?
And that...plays into my death-seeker Junko theory and plays really well into the way I'm writing her. It's less that she's careless. It's that she honestly doesn't want to win. She wants someone to stop her.
And at every opportunity, no one. stops. her.
Even Makoto, knowing exactly who she is and what she's done, says, Come with us. Leave with us. We can all be friends again.
She loses. She wants to lose. And says, No. I lost. Let. Me. Lose. Let this entire everything be done. Because the only way it ends is with me dying because it doesn't matter what I do or how careless or horrible I've been, no one will just let me be done.
Maybe, if she tries to kill Mukuro, her Ultimate Soldier sister will eventually snap and kill her instead. Or break her arm. Or something other than just dodging and avoiding.
Maybe, if she tries to kill Izuru, he'll kill her instead of kicking her to the floor and letting her talk.
Maybe, if she kills a Steering Committee member and breaks into this super private place (which she is literally risking her life to do because Chisa was risking hers just for breaking into the Steering Committee member's office, which is nowhere near as bad as breaking into Izuru's chamber), they'll catch her and kill her.
Maybe if she starts a Killing Game.
Maybe if she makes Yasuke believe she doesn't actually care about him.
Maybe if the Reserve Course riots.
Maybe if she breaks the entire world.
Maybe if she starts another Killing Game with the students who are left over.
Maybe.
Someone.
Will.
Kill.
Her.
Stop.
Her.
End.
Her.
And no one does.

went to a rave last night with a friend and at some point someone tapped me on the shoulder, said something incomprehensible into my ear, and then handed me a business card with a QR code leading to a page on a fetish "dating" site for the local kink community

my god Rei, the selkie JK story altered my brain chemistry and I don’t even read JK fics all that often. the buildup was perfect, the bond between him and mc even more, and who could forget Jimin, the mean girl of selkies?
so now please suffer with me: a huldrekall!Namjoon spin off, with some delicious pagan themes added into the mix. But only if you’re in the mood of course!
scandinavian folklore isn’t even my native one, but it’s close enough and has a similar theme of warden spirits and I just couldn’t help thinking that Namjoon would make a great forest spirit. In my native folklore, we’ve got Leszy or Leshy, but he’s more of a god than spirit and can be quite scary, which probably wouldn’t fit the mood all that well.
how much do i love this ask, i went on a lil spiral searching huldrekal folklore, fascinating! it'll join my never-ending WIPS pile but I also had two thoughts about this
Namjoon in a forest with pagan themes and magic reminds me of the amazing @miscelunaaa 's Sacrificial, which if you haven't read, you are in for a treat. Run don't walk.
I love fantasy writing -- you mentioned Jimin the mean girlTM of selkies and funnily enough I'm picking at a dragon rider Jimin right now, coming to a blog near you soon, but probably not as soon as demon prince Yoongi, which will drop this week. now I usually avoid romanced Ascended Astarion fics unless it’s humorous, so I just had a funny (basically crack fic) thought: What if Tav post-game consults with Shadowheart about Astarion’s descent into evil so they concoct a hairbrained scheme of Tav basically…uh…subduing him. Loving him up so to speak. Boning his brains out. Ahem.
So Shadowheart helps her with blessings, Halsin sends some natural aphrodisiacs because of course they’re nature’s gifts, Karlach (and slightly concerned Wyll) sends some questionable concoctions from Avernus, and so on.
And thus Astarion’s would-be tyranny ends before it even begins because he’s permanently distracted by an insatiable Tav. Ahem.
He DOES think about Tav post game if you refuse to become his spawn. So this is VERY possible... And I would absolutely read this.
