Obviously, the villain is always a bit cartoonish if we aren't in a life-or-death situation, but this is My Candy Love, I can't expect anything really dark, so I'm fine with it. The difference between Khatha's look in the first episode and last episode is killing me. In the first episode he was looking at him with doubt, with slight anger and with coldness in his eyes. But in the last episode his eyes are warmer, happier and so much more sure of what he wants and needs. And there is a little longing in his eyes too. First episode he thought he was looking at Chan, his long dead "brother", his first family, the first person that didn't judge him or cast him aside the moment they've met. But wasn't so sure if he was really Chan so he was still careful about this boy who has his brother's face. Last episode he was sure who he was looking at, he traveled through space and time to find him and be with him, he was certain about his thoughts and feelings about him. Everything was clear to him so he let that reflects in his eyes.

I'M SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT THANK YOU !! it's definitely a brainrot story because i was half delirious while writing it. i kept telling myself, well, since it's scara's POV, it's okay if everything isn't super refined and kinda jagged : ) make it a feature, not a bug. that's probably me coping though.

and yes!!! we are all ready to offer our hearts to scara. or at least enough of us are. i really like the thought of scaramouche not realizing he has the heart he longs for and wanted to expand upon that concept some more. seeing the raw emotion on his face/the delivery of his words from the backstory further cemented to me that his feelings are genuine and as real as anyone else's. he just kinda got tunnel vision while focusing on wanting the 'heart' that humans he's observed have, perhaps from feelings of inferiority ?? those are my thoughts at least.

sighs... scaramouche is a writer's dream <3 there's just enough where we have something concrete to work with, while a little is left to each individual's interpretation. i like how that makes everyone's take on scaramouche slightly different across the board. it's always so interesting to see.

Before the new update drops, I just want to express, how much Theodora grew on me. I liked it since the beginning, but the whole immortality theme was scaring me away, because I usually hate it.
