Card Games and Light Novels

Fandom: Genshin Impact Ship: CynoNari

Summary: Yae Miko convinces Tighnari to help promote her latest TCG light novel. She promises to publish his Forest Watcher Survival Guide if he cosplays as one of the characters. He didn’t expect he’ll have to dress as a woman.

“Guuji Yae, with all due respect, I do not find this joke amusing. Where is my costume for the book singing?” Tighnari stepped out of the changing room wearing an elegant dress. Yae Miko’s confident smile never faltered and he realized she had always intended to give him a woman’s outfit. “This is not what we agreed on. We agreed I would dress up as a character from the novel but you never mentioned I’d be the love interest. I suspect you did so on purpose.”

“I knew you would suit the character the moment I saw your tail. You must take great care of it to make it so soft and fluffy. Perhaps, we can charge the customers to pet it.” Yae Miko suggested and reached out to pet his tail. She wasn’t able to stifle her giggle when Tighnari pulled his tail away from her. “I would not suggest the idea if it didn’t benefit both of us. A portion will go to the Forest Watchers.”

“Please don’t add more to my job when you already made me wear this dress.” Tighnari said and crossed his arms. His reaction was more understated than Gorou’s but Yae Miko could see that he was blushing. She found it amusing to play small tricks on humans and hybrids were even more of a fun challenge. She originally visited Sumeru for the Beast Tamer Tournament but then she met Cyno.

“From what I heard, you’re an intelligent scholar, Tighnari. You must’ve considered your options and weighed the benefits when you saw the dress that I prepared for you. Since you’re wearing it anyways, you’re willing to act as the character.” She said and adjusted the golden necklace he wore. “Let’s work together to make this event a success.”

To promote the latest book in Fukumoto’s TCG light novel series, they were holding a small Genius Invokation Tournament at Puspa Café. Yae Publishing House also hired people to dress as characters from the book to attract readers. She asked Tighnari to participate in the event. In exchange, she would help the Forest Watcher publish their survival guide with the profit going to preserve the rainforest.

“The event will begin in ten minutes! We need the actors to sit in their booths.” Her assistant called through the door.

Tighnari left the changing room and made his way to the table assigned to him. He ran his hand over his skirt and smoothed out the wrinkles. He didn’t mind dressing as the character but he wished Yae Miko hadn’t lied to him. His role was rather simple because he only needed to play Genius Invokation with the guests. The doors opened and people quickly filled the café.

The guests immediately lined up in front of the author with their novels waiting in their hands. Tighnari reasoned that he would have a few minutes to himself while the readers were occupied with the book signing. He took out his deck and shuffled his cards.

“Tighnari?” He almost dropped his cards when the familiar voice called his name. In front of him stood Cyno. Tighnari was tempted to pull the bangs of his wig lower so it covered his face more. However, that would be pointless when he already recognized him. He groaned at the situation. Cyno didn’t ask anything further and Tighnari didn’t know how he wanted him to react.

Tighnari fiddled with his long hair and quickly said: “Don’t laugh. Yae Miko tricked me into wearing this outfit for the book signing. I thought I would only be a character actor and play cards with the guests. If you’re here for the book signing, you should get in line. It looks like there’s twenty people there already.”

“You’re beautiful.” The words left Cyno’s lips in a breathless whisper. He sat across from Tighnari and set his book aside, quickly forgetting the signing. “You had long hair when we were in the Akademiya and it’s nostalgic to see you with that hairstyle again. The dress is different though. If you wore that, I’m sure I would’ve had to arrest everyone for staring too much.”

“This isn’t the best time for your flirting or teasing. I’m working right now, Cyno.” Tighnari said but his heart quickened slightly. He wished that Cyno didn’t affect him as much as he did. He rarely became flustered or allowed his emotions to cloud his judgement. Cyno was the only exception. “When I invited you to dinner, you said you were busy. You didn’t mention the book signing though.”

“Yae Miko requested that I come. I owe her a favour because she helped my investigation into the Beast Tamer Tournament. I also enjoy Fukumoto’s work.” Cyno told him and Tighnari hummed thoughtfully. Between Yae Miko’s sly smile and their earlier conversation, Tighnari could easily see that she was toying with the both of them. He found that he didn’t mind because it gave him an opportunity to spend time with Cyno, as outlandish as their meeting was.

Cyno placed his deck on the table and drew three cards. They naturally started playing Genius Invokation and told each other about their work. He told him about his investigation and Tighnari gave his insight on fungi. They could be discussing anything and he would enjoy the conversation. Tighnari didn’t understand why Cyno forced himself to tell bad puns when his dry laugh was so much better.

They had played Genius Invokation countless times and Tighnari immediately noticed that Cyno didn’t use his quick swap deck. Cyno had carefully chosen each card of his powerful deck and used it every opportunity he could. His current playstyle was more reserved and it felt as if he were stalling the game. He didn’t comment on it and played his next set.

“Sometimes, I think of growing out my hair again because cutting it regularly can be tedious. Long hair gets in the way of my work as a Forest Watcher.” Tighnari said and brushed a long strand of hair over his shoulder. “Yae Miko asked me to dress as this character but I don’t know much about her. I only read a few books in the series.”

“The princess is my favourite character. Strong, passionate and brave. Her conviction to her people gets her into trouble but she’s smart and finds a strategy to beat her opponent.” Cyno thought the princess’s personality resembled Tighnari and that drew him to the character.

“I thought you would prefer the hero of the book over the princess.” Tighnari held up his cards to hide the pout he couldn’t restrain. Jealousy was a childish emotion yet there was a small twist in his stomach. “Now that I think of it, Fukumoto has sent me a few letters requesting an interview with you and me. I don’t know why. I’ve been too busy to write back to him too. Perhaps, he wants to learn about plants for his next novel.”

“He wants us to be models for the characters in his book. Yae Miko and the Akademiya recommended that we’re the best to explain the new rules of Genius Invokation TCG to him.”

“I hope it’s just for a novel and not another of Yae Miko’s tricks.” He glanced from the book to the woman across the book signing. “Though, I can praise her ingenuity and business sense.”

Tighnari languidly swung his leg and their feet bumped together in the small space. They playfully teased each other beneath the table. He slipped off his sandal and teased his foot up Cyno’s bare leg. Cyno hid his reaction and he was glad that the guests were distracted with the book signing. Tighnari set down his spell card and grinned at Cyno. “I win. That was a fun game but why didn’t you use your strong deck.”

“It feels like you’re a more dangerous fox.” Cyno didn’t know whether he was grateful for the table between them or not. The thin piece of wood was the only thing stopping him from pulling Tighnari close to him. He always found Tighnari beautiful but the dress complimented his slim frame and turquoise eyes. To distract himself from staring at Tighnari, he collected his cards. “I didn’t want to use my deck or else the game would’ve been over too soon. You’re working and I can’t keep you all to myself.”

“Don’t go.” Tighnari took Cyno’s hand when he started to stand. “Isn’t it a trope in your TCG novel to challenge the princess again after you lose to her?”

“It is.” Cyno settled himself back into the chair. “Let’s trade decks so it’ll be more of a fun challenge.”

After the event ended, Tighnari told Cyno to meet him behind the café so they could walk to the forest together. They spent hours talking and playing Genius Invokation together and he looked forward to ending the day sleeping in Cyno’s arms. Since Cyno completed his investigation into the tournament early, his weekend was free. Tighnari was thankful to Yae Miko for that.

He found her drinking tea with her fungi twirling next to her. Yae Miko noticed him approaching her and a knowing smile spread across her lips. “The book signing was a success and I must thank you for your support, Tighnari. There were some readers disappointed they couldn’t challenge the princess to a card game though. On the other hand, it looks like Yae Publishing House gained a dedicated reader. I told Cyno that we’re planning to release merchandise of the princess and he pre-ordered some.”

“I came here to say goodbye and thank you for publishing the Forest Watcher’s Survival Guide but you reminded me that you had your own interest in doing so.” Tighnari said and rubbed his temple. “You can play tricks on me but don’t involve Cyno in them. Also, I believe that you need my permission before you make merchandise of me.”

“But, my sweet and intelligent Tighnari, I am making merchandise of a character from my light novel. If they have a fluffy tail, it’s purely a coincidence.” She feigned a confused voice at his accusation. She rested her chin in her hand and smiled at Tighnari. “It was fun working with you. I already sent your survival guide to the printers. I’ll send you the first test print in a week and we can make any changes you wish.”

“Thank you.” Tighnari said respectfully. “Cyno is waiting for me and I need to change back into my regular clothes.”

“Oh, I almost forgot. My sincerest apologies, but I accidentally spilled dango milk on your clothes. I had my assistant take your clothes to be washed and Yae Publishing House will pay for the cost.” She stood from her chair and patted Tighnari’s head. “You can keep that costume since I was the one to dirty your clothes. I’m sure Cyno wouldn’t mind. He likes the character.”

“I am never agreeing to a deal with a fox ever again.” Tighnari muttered to himself.

Cyno is the General Mahamatra, yes?

And Cyno, however scary he seems to be, is genuinely a nice person underneath.. the, um, scary. Yes, I find him a bit terrifying if I ever have to be stuck in a room with a guy like that.

But I think he'd be a little like Xiao? But more.. well, naturally ominous. Not reclusive by any means- he tells dad jokes during dinner, how could this man even be that closed off?- but he's intimidating by aura and maybe that's what gets him used to his loneliness.

I can't think of any petnames that he'd even particularly use... But I had a bit of research with his voice lines, and here are some things he has interest for! (And some headcanons I share..)

- He likes the snow.

- He likes the night in the desert, the cold is nice for him.

- (does this mean he can withstand the cold too?)

- He enjoys playing cards! The TCG is fun for him.

- He's mentioned "luck" numerous of times, and is always so invested in investigating on how any lucky miracles can happen during a tense situation. This makes me think of.. like, what if he says you're his lucky charm?

- He enacts fair judgement and plays by the rules. Which is why "luck" in serious situation always somehow surprises him; he wonders if it's cheating, or actually by the rules.

- I feel like, for some reason, he tells unfunny jokes because he finds amusement in seeing people deadpan. I have no clue why. But he's also the guy who gets the slightest bit offended when you genuinely laugh at somebody else's jokes.

- I found out he likes it when he's being questioned... Because he's always the one interrogating, y'know? He likes curiosity — the kind that isn't stupid and reckless and would endanger oneself. He likes it when you want to get to know him.

That's all I've analyzed so far, but let me know what ideas pop in your head! ♡

okay, the questions thing — i saw his voice lines and yeah, he loves when you want to know about him, but i also think he finds it amusing when you question him. like if something of yours goes missing and you suspect he took it, or hell, maybe if you're just trying to pry answers about any topic out of him, his face will remain relatively impassive, but if you squint, you'd notice the way his brows are raised and the slightest quirk to his lips; he'll let you know when you've asked too many (probably stupid) questions, but he obviously finds it interesting when he's on the other side of it all (so.. perhaps a reader in which he's with a fierce reader? hm. thinking.)

also i think it'd be really funny if he's actually got a low tolerance for the cold? i know he's originally from the desert which means he'd actually have a really high tolerance for it (and yeah, he's.. well, he's cyno, ofc he's built for this kind of thing), but for as much as he likes the cold, his body doesn't quite agree with that.. so you gotta make sure he's indoors, else he'd risk a cold over and over again

June 2022 Update!

Hello again everyone! It’s been a super busy time around the castle this month, but I’ve got a lot of news to share so let me get right into it. I finished up my query letter for Tales of Scales after having someone look over it and offer edits and suggestions (thank you Madison!) and sent it off to a prospective publisher to see if they are interested in possibly publishing it. This is a huge step having a manuscript even available to pitch to publishers and it’s a little surreal if I’m being honest. The publisher said they would get back to me within a month or two so now it’s just a matter of waiting and hearing back. In the meantime, I can research other publishers/publishing methods in case I do get rejected. Always good to have a back-up plan! If all goes well, I’ll be hitting up various artists I’ve worked with before to draw a cover for Tales of Scales. This is going to be a process in and of itself but one that I am incredibly excited to take on. I’ve got a list of possible artists lined up and will be reaching out to them when the time is right to see if they’d be interested. I’ve got a few ideas for book covers planned out just in case the artist needs that as a reference point. I’ve also got some other good writing news in that two of my short stories that have been on the backburner for publication are getting published soon! One of these is in ROAR Vol. 11 and that’s huge to me since getting into a ROAR anthology was a major writing goal for me for a long while. Ever since I read through ROAR Vol. 8 and loved it, I knew I wanted to try and get one of my own short stories in there. If you’re at Anthrocon this year you’ll be able to pick up a copy from the Furplanet booth! I don’t often write horror, so it was cool to get out of my comfort zone a little and try writing in a different genre. I’m pretty happy with the result and am excited for folks to be able to read it. Once those are available on the publisher’s websites to order, I’ll update my Stories page with the links. I also have a game featured as part of the Queer Games Bundle on itch.io this month! It’s name is Seize the Horny! and as you can probably guess it’s pretty risqué. It was written about 4ish years ago and is definitely a crystallization of what I was feeling at the time. While I would go back and change a bunch of stuff now, I’m very proud of what I accomplished with that project. It was written in a month in a game engine I hadn’t used before (Inform 7), in a genre of game I hadn’t made before (text adventure), and exploring topics I was still figuring out. I hope you’ll buy the bundle and try out the rest of the games as well! One of my pet projects is a tyrannomon build that I’ve been tinkering with to try and make good. I don’t know that it’s ever going to be competitive, but it’s been a lot of fun to pilot! There's also the possibility that the Tamers set I've been waiting months for is going to come out at the end of the month, so depending on if that gets delayed or not I'll be working on making some new decks out of that as well. I’ve been playing in a new summer league for volleyball this season and it’s been going pretty good! We’re still getting used to playing with each other since it’s a completely new team, but I have confidence we’ll be able to have a great season overall. Already we managed to keep pace with one of the best teams in the league so once we get more practice under our belts I think we’ll be a force to be reckoned with! I’ve got a bunch of commissions in progress from a couple different artists and am very excited to be able to share the ones that are related to writing once they get finished! Monster Hunter Sunbreak is out at the end of the month! And that’s part of why this update is a few days early. I will be snout deep into the new DLC at the end of the month and wanted to get this update out before my attention was diverted. That's about everything I had for this month! It's a lot but I'm really glad that I have so much to share. I'm hoping I can keep up the momentum through the rest of the summer and make progress on my writing goals. An Interview with Mr. Toshiyuki Toyonaga about Fire Emblem (Claude‘s Japanese VA), Pgs. 1 & 2

The gaming magazine scene is still a pretty big deal in Japan to this day. Admittedly... I only cared about them to collect the giant bonus posters. I always swore I would read the magazine, but with the hours in a day being so limited, I never did.

Until last November, that is!! I bought Nindori (Nintendo Dream) for a Zelda poster, and saw that the main article of the issue was... An interview with Claude’s Japanese VA!! Now that’s the real treasure!!

And as I read, it only got more and more interesting... turns out Mr. Toshiyuki Toyonaga has been a Fire Emblem fan since the very, very beginning, and has all the unique feelings towards FE of someone who is simultaneously a fan and a professional.

I’ve gone to hell and back slowly working my way through this translation. It just so happened to be at a really high level of Japanese. One of the fun things about being a translator is, you never really know exactly what’s going to be a challenge to translate for you. (Even kid’s books can use a bunch of words you don’t know and throw you in for a loop sometimes.)

[rough sketch] The scene for this art is the ball, so I decided to use warm tones, and bring the entire piece together with an orange-gold color. I arranged the information that I wanted to convey (that Claude is drawing the hand to him) in such a way that it would not be covered by the card icons or frame.

[midway progress] I cleaned up the lines that I drew loosely on the rough draft. I also created different layers for the outline and the colors to make it easier to color when the time came.

[finished drawing] I adjusted Claude’s right hand to give it depth, then added another chandelier in the background. When I finished coloring the entire piece, I adjusted it to fit the color scheme I had first imagined. Finally, I added the glittering lights as a finishing touch.

“There’s only one expression that Claude would have in an illustration on the dance floor at the ball!” I thought, and drew him winking. I thought it would be fun for it to seem like his dance was gradually pulling in the wallflowers, so I created that feeling. I left it up to imagination whose hand he is pulling (because everyone is wearing formal clothing that’s different from their casual outfits). I also studied all the art I had of him as closely as I possibly could to get his face just right. I wanted his personality to come out in the illustration, so I hope I got it right!

Senri Kita

An illustrator. She’s worked as a designer and pixel artist at several game development companies, and was the illustrator for FE: Path of Radiance (GameCube), as well as the pixel artist for Kirby: Squeak Squad (DS). Freelancer since 2006. For FE Cipher, she’s provided the art for many characters, including Ike (from Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn) and Gatekeeper (from Three Houses), who’s always standing in his unique spot. She is an active creator of character art and other illustrations for the app game Fire Emblem Heroes.

The MLP comics are fine (and so is the extended universe)

I will talk about the comics and the extended lore the rest of the medias provide us with more world building. For those who haven’t read the comics, there will be major spoilers, so read at your own risks. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

Of course, there are Bronies who still consider the comics as non canon. Just like there are Bronies who consider the Equestria Girls as non canon. And same thing with the chapter books.

Others call all that the “extended universe”.

Me? I like Equestria Girls, I like the comics, and the chapter books too. OF COURSE THERE ARE INCONSISTENCIES (< that’s the main reason people don’t like the comics/chapter books/etc, which I think is stupid), the authors don’t have the time to check everything with the show, but they do their best (and especially vice-versa). The show writers don’t follow the comics (and the rest...) because they simply don’t have the time. The comic writers make sometimes references or even sequel to some episodes because they watch the show (show writers don’t read comics and chapter books).

So I consider the “extanded universe” as canon. I don’t care about plot holes, DC comics and Marvel comics have lots of those, and a ton of alternate universes too (reboots, earth-two shenanigans, etc). So why being so hard on the MLP comics ? I really don’t get it. If the reason the comics crush people’s headcanons, I’m sorry, but that’s a lame excuse.

I can understand that the whole “I can’t keep up with all of that” thing, but using it as an excuse for hating the comics (and others medias) is kinda dumb.

And because Hasbro said “anything that is said in the cartoon, it is primairy canon above any others medias“ is the source of many arguments inside the fandom. That and if they use comic books characters in the show and no one read the thing before, viewers would be confused by what’s going on.

I still think the MLP lore is well developped with the addition of the comics.

Let’s make a recap for what we have in the MLP medias (except the toy line):

The show;

The comics;

The chapter books;

Equestria Girls franchise.

Now, let’s see what kind of comics we have :

The main serie (Friendship is Magic, ongoing)

The Micro serie (10 issues)

Friends Forever (38 issues, replaced Micro Serie)

FIENDship is Magic (5 issues, released at the same time of Friends Forever in April 2015)

Legends of Magic (12 issues, replaced Friends Forever)

Ponyville Mysteries, “sequel” to the eponymous chapter book serie (5 issues, replaced Legends of Magic)

Nightmare Knights (5 issues, replaced Ponyville Mysteries)

The movie prequel (4 issues, released before the movie)

Annuals (somehow ongoing, you may never know *shrugs*).

Now, the list of the chapter books :

The “main serie”, featuring one character;

The Equestria Girls ones (even tho most of them are just book version of the EG movies and specials);

The Princess Collection;

Ponyville Mysteries;

Beyond Equestria, books that features one of the main characters with characters from the Movie.

Yup, that’s a lot.

With all of this, it is certain that the lore of Friendship is Magic was expanded. But alternate worlds in the comics are not the first alternate worlds the franchise has.

There are alternate universes mentioned in the show.

Remember the season 5 finale? There are SIX different timelines :

Sombra war (King Sombra wins);

Everlasting Night (Nightmare Moon wins);

Changeling Invasion (Chrysalis wins);

Total Chaos (Discord wins);

Ultimate Destruction (Tirek wins);

Industrialization (Flim-Flam win).

Each being actually CANON. They are just not the timeline the show is following. That makes them ALTERNATE UNIVERSE, in a sense (just like Flashpoint).

I know that an universe and a timeline is not quite the same, but it still parallel worlds.

So why rejecting the alternate universe that appear in the comics? If we consider everything canon, we have :

1. The Main Equestria (pun not intended)

I’ll call it Equestria 1, from the show and which has 6 different timelines. In a way, the timelines still exist as parallel worlds. So if using the right magic/spell, it may be possible to visit the alt timelines. I’m not going to arg about it like in The Flash, because science isn’t really used in Friendship is Magic, so yeah, don’t start the science talk about alt timelines in a cartoon with magical horses.

2. The Equestria Girls world

From Equestria Girls duh where everyone looks like humans. Sunset Shimmer, who is from Equestria 1, stays there because Hasbro don’t want to mix her with the main show (fight me, this is the real reason why she’s not back to Equestria).

3. The Mirror-verse (comics)

I know that TECHNICALLY every alternate universes are “mirror-verses” because the portals to every alt worlds are mirrors, but I call this one Mirror-verse because every characters are the total opposite from Equestria 1. All the good guys are evil, and all the evil guys are good.

In Reflection (main serie, issue 17-20), the two alternate worlds became so “close” that the merge between them could have destroy them both. The King Sombra from this world stored all the evil of the Mirror-verse inside of him to restore the balance.

Also, this King Sombra is in love with Princess Celestia from Equestria 1. Mmmh... Maybe that’s why people don’t like the comics : their waifu is actually taken (well, not anymore after Reflection). We haven’t heard of this alternate universe since then.

4. The Shadow-verse (comics)

Alternate universe that appears in Legends of Magic and the Annual 2018 (that is a complement to Legends of Magic). This is also the world the serie Nightmare Knights is taking place (see more below).

This is also a personal fan-made name for this universe : this is the one where an alternate Pony of Shadows (aka alternate Stygian) is superpowerful. He defeated his version of Starswirl the Bearded. But as a real power hungry villain, he wanted more. He tried to corrupted the Celestia and the Luna from his world but his Starswirl stopped him from doing so.

But between this moment in the past and in the present day, Green Pony of Shadows (yes, that’s how I’ll call him, because he has green fire/shadows) contacted his counterpart through his dreams: apparently, he succeded to corrupt his Celestia (his Luna seemed to be too weak to resist corruption). So of course, Princess Luna and Stygian from Equestria 1 decided to rescue Celestia of Shadow-verse. But soon they realise that Green Pony of Shadows is not in charge in this universe anymore. It is Eris (Discord’s cousin) who rules the place with the staff of Sacanas (staff used by the Storm King in the Movie). We don’t know yet which world/universe Eris is from. I assume for now she’s from the Shadow-verse.

This is the plot of Nightmare Knights. We already saw easter eggs to previous villains (including Grogar). There is a King Sombra who looks like King Sombra from Mirror-verse. Is he the same Sombra who travel to Shadow-verse or is he the Sombra from Shadow-verse and he just looks like Sombra Mirror-verse post corruption ? I know this is just a reference, but there are TWO Rarities : Nightmare Rarity and Rarity corrupted by dark waters. So did they come from Shadow-verse or alternate worlds where one is corrupted by the Nightmare Forces and the other one by the dark waters ?

Also, what happened to Green Pony of Shadows ? Should I keep calling this the Shadow-verse since Eris is in charge now? I don’t know, we’ll see.

5. Unknown Atlernate universe (TCG)

Yes, even the trading card game proposes an alternate unviverse in which Solar Flare/Nightmare Star (a corrupted version of Celestia) rules her world with an iron hoof. An alternate universe so horrifying that Starswirl from Equestria 1 had to destroy the portal so that no one will know about it (also, he probably didn’t want to see Solar Flare coming in Equestria 1).

I personally prefer Solar Flare over Daybreaker. I really thought that Celestia’s evil counterpart would be it but noooooooo, Hasbro don’t know everything in their own merchandises. They are the one creating inconsistencies.

The comics created a few controversies

1. Nightmare Forces controversy

The oldest question : which princess is the best ? Back then, we can only choose between Celestia and Luna. And of course, most people choose Luna for her tragic backstory.

In the second arc in the main serie (issues 5-8) Nightmare Rarity, the story is kinda the same as in episode 4, season 2 Luna eclipsed.

It’s about her acceptance of her past and stuff like that. What the comic brings and it’s what most Bronies are not happy with is the Nightmare Forces. So, according to the story, it would be an outside force that corrupts Princess Luna into Nightmare Moon. Yeah, no : using that excuse to glorified the character is lame. Making her a slave to something wasn’t well recieved within the fandom.

The arc is supposed to happen after the episode, that’s why it is a little confusing.

But the comic never stated WHERE the Nightmare Forces come from. And I think people have tendecies to forget who Luna is : an Alicorn. What’s the connection, you ask? Well in episode 13, season 5 Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep?, Luna created the Tantabus, a creature for the sole purpose of punishing herself for her past mistakes. What IS the connection, you ask? SHE IS A FREAKING ALICORN, that means she has a magic more powerful than anypony in Equestria. If she was able to create the Tantabus out of guilt, it is possible she created the Nightmare Forces out of envy and anger. It’s like her magic and feelings created another personality, Nightmare Moon and when she was defeated by the Mane 6 and the Elements of Harmony, her evil personality and its magic (the Nightmare Forces) were simply rejected from her body/mind and went to the moon waiting to come back. That’s what happens in the comic. The Nightmare Forces took over Rarity because being a bearer of an Element, that makes the rest of them useless.

There is a rest of Luna’s magic in the Forces and they started to act as a whole new entity after their separation.

Of course, this is only a headcanon, but it is the best explaination I can come up with to keep the Nightmare Forces and Luna being the only responsible for her actions (instead of putting the blame on something exterior).

2. Deers controversy

In the show, there are deers who appear to be non sentient. They look like they are being enslaved by the ponies.

In The Root of the Problem (comic main serie, issue 27-28), the story introduce us to a race of sentient deers who lived in the Everfree Forest (they are kinda the elves of Equestria) with their king, Aspen, being the ruler of their civilisation.

Since the show writers can’t add characters from the comics because it would confuse everyone, we will probably never see King Aspen in the show. Not everyone follows the comics, and not everone follows every comics.

I may be the only one to think about it, but I don’t care.

The Umbrum and the Pony of Shadows

I won’t hide it, King Sombra is my favorite villain of G4.

So much potential and awesome look. I was a little disapointed with his lack of screentime.

So of course I started to have headcanons about him. I learned to not go too far with them because when the canon backstory has to be revealed, it will crush my headcanons. So I waited a little to know more about King Sombra. And I was blessed with FIENDship is Magic issue 1 !

This issue tells us his origin story : he is from a tribe/kind of ponies made of shadow and darkness called the Umbrum/Umbra (I actually don’t know the plural), the shadow ponies. These ponies represent hate and fear, they are the perfect opposite of the Crystal ponies, them representing love and hope. There is a need of balance : day and night, light and darkness, fear and hope, love and hate.

Now, while I was super excited to read the arc Siege of the Crystal Empire (main serie, issue 34-37), I have to admit that despite the good premises, the writing and setting were UNFORTUNATELY lacking of quality. The so called villainous league of second rate antagonists that serves NOTHING to the story, Radiant Hope’s character (the worst Mary-Sue I have ever seen), the part where Cadance (the princess of LOVE, btw) was able to use HATE magic without getting a headache (while when Twilight did it, it was hurting a little) AND IT WAS NEVER TOUCHED UPON IN THE LAST ISSUE !!!! Just like King Sombra’s character in the season 3 premiere, a big disapointement because of the wasted potential...

Despite all that, the issue expands more about the shadow ponies (I’m trying to cope with what I can, ok?). We see their true form:

Nightmare fuel

We know they attacked the Crystal Empire, leaving nothing but despair until Princess Amore created/found the Crystal Heart (Journal of the Two Sister) : the only weapon/artefact fueled with love and hope, the total opposite of what the Shadow ponies are, full of hate and fear. Since then, the Umbrum are trapped inside a prison, the Crystal Heart needs to be “refilled” with love every year (the purpose of the Crystal Fair) in order to keep the Empire safe and sounds from them.

A lot of stuff happened 1000 years ago, huh ? The Umbrum left nothing but DESPAIR. Keep that in mind, it’s going to be important.

The Umbrum were also mentioned in The Movie Prequel issue 4, they are well known outside of Equestria. I wanted to see this sign so bad in the Movie, because that meant the Umbrum were canon to the show, meaning the comics too. Alas, no such sign in the Movie :(

But that doesn’t explain where they come from, and you’re going to ask : “Okay, but what’s the connection with the Pony of Shadows? Because it is the title of this paragraph.”. I’m coming about it.

I think that the powers of Stygian, aka the Pony of Shadows, and the Umbrum magic ARE THE SAME/COME FROM THE SAME SOURCE.

Think about it. The Umbrum are the shadow ponies, and Stygian became the Pony of Shadows. Except the similar names, something hit me while watching Shadow Play, part 2 (episode 26, season 7) :

Pony of Shadows: [laughing maniacally] Welcome to the Well of Shade! When you turned your backs on me, I discovered this place. The darkness spoke to me of a power beyond any I could imagine, and I listened. The shadow and I became one. Soon, all of the realm will be the same. Then all ponies will feel the despair I did when you cast me out!

What if the Hollow Shades (the town where they are in this episode) was the home of the Umbrum ? They would have just travelled to the Crystal Empire for conquest or something like that (it failed, since they were trapped after they attacked), leaving the Hollow Shades empty. When Stygian was rejected by the Pillars, he was full of resentment : he tried to do something good but the Pillars thought he was just being jealous of their powers/status. So somehow, Stygian found the Well of Shade, and well, his quote says it all. It is possible that the place still had a few of the Umbrum magic and he was so resentful and full of hate for his former friends that he was able to channel the shadow ponies’ magic. It is even possible that the Umbrum looked more like Stygian in shadow form, and their famelic looking faces are just side effect of a curse/their fight against Princess Amore and the magic of the Crystal ponies.

So if we consider the comics as canon, many things can be connected and explained more in detail than the show wants to tell us. The lore just got bigger and deeper.

And it would be a shame to just stick to one media just because it could crush your own fantasies. If you don’t have the time, it’s okay: if one day you are bored, I recommand to read the comics : it’s worth it.

Okay I know that kingdom hearts has a bad reputation for sticking crucial plot information on obscure spinoff games but HOLY SHIT I just finally watched a lets play of the fuckin digimon tcg game and found out it ACTUALLY HAS A GODDAMN CONCLUSION TO ANALOGMAN FROM DIGIMON WORLD 1

like 90% of the damn game has no plot whatsoever let alone indicating its a digimon world sequel! and then suddenly in the last battle without being foreshadowed whatsoever analogman returns and gets possibly the best boss battle ever IN A GODDAMN TCG GAME

holy shit his whole fight is framed as ‘this is literally the same guy from digimon world 1, hacking another game’, the interface wigs out and a bunch of fake command windows pop up with rapidly scrolling code of the game supposedly falling apart. And then his boss battle flips the entire gameplay system on its head by giving him fourth wall breaking special moves that pull overpowered effects by “hacking the engine”, with cool animations to fit. Fuckin badasssss!!

and it also fuckin FINALLY EXPLAINS THE DAMN PLOT LIKE GEEZ

digimon world’s conclusion was so rushed, you never even meet the villain until the final battle and it ends all weird with just “something” going wrong that causes him to get sucked into a portal or something while screaming dramatically in weirdly high resolution terror faces??? the tcg game confirms that this was him attempting to flee back to the human world after you defeated him, but one of the stray attacks from the battle damaged his machine and it caused him to essentially commit accidental suicide when he turned it on.

and HOLY SHIT MY FUCKIN OBSCURE HEADCANON IS TRUE????

the game had some sequel bait hints that maybe analogman is somehow still around and that the portal explosion just turned him into “corrupted data” so he can never return to the human world. and i always thought it would be super ironic if he actually got turned into a digimon aka the thing he hates more than anything

he appears in this game as a malomyotismon who does a damn good vexen face during the fight, lol. And he’s all “gahh that stupid kid ruined my plans but this accursed body at least improved my hacking abilities!” Tho its implied that his corrupted state is more like a bodyless cloud of data that can possess/copy different digimon, which would be REALLY FUCKIN CRITICAL to explaining the goddamn plot of Digimon World Next Order!

Seriously wtf is up with this series? Digimon World 2 is not the sequel to Digimon World 1, all the numbered games are entirely separate individual stories with wildly different genres from pet sim to roguelike strategy. The real sequel is fucking DIGIMON THE CARD GAME THE GAME and then Digimon World Next Order a bazillion years later for the ps4. In which i am STILL REALLY SALTY that they have a FUCKIN RAD remix of analogman’s boss theme yet he doesn’t appear in the game. The added context of this damn tcg game confirms once and for all that the Ambiguous As Fuck Ending actually WAS him appearing in the game, this unexplained “oh wait the villain was good all along and he was just possessed by an evil virus” was supposed to be corrupted-digi-analogman and seriously WHY DONT THEY JUST FUCKIN EXPLAIN IT!!! this tcg game wasnt even released in europe!! and even american fans probably had no clue it was linked to this entirely separate subseries! You have to friggin piece it together with context clues like the battle music and the fact analogman’s signature mon was machinedramon. I mean vjesus christ Next Order is a litera; sequel with the grown up version of Digimon World’s protagonist as a badass home ec teacher who still defends the digital world in his free time yet you couldnt spare ONE LINE OF DIALOGUE mentioning the name of the villain?? and summarizing the fuckin tcg game everyone missed??? AND CONFIRMING THAT THE VILLAIN IS INDEED MAKING A REAPPEARANCE POSSESSING THIS GUY??? oh god everything makes SENSE, thank you terrible card game adaptation. ehh but i do still love Next Order for making Hiro/Mameo’s canon partner Mamemon, he’s even more badass as this big tough bishie version of himself with a tiny adorable pal that can shoot rocket fists through space and time. (its funny tho cos the DW1 intro movie showed metalmamemon and metalgreymon and the american boxart flipped a coin and decided metalgreymon must have been the one the protagonist was using in that scene. Whoops!)

anyway even with the added context that IT WAS INDEED GODDAMN ANALOGMAN, the final boss fight in Next Order was as terrible as the rest of the plot. So I’m glad trash gramps got a suitably badass boss fight after all, even if it was a CARD GAME VERSION! lets all celebrate the awesomeness of this obscure fuckin spinoff game’s obscure fuckin intercontinuity cameo with the boss fight music that other game wasted

seriously fuckin hell the biggest challenge in that final boss was that i was so distracted by SHEER OFFENDEDNESS at the cool music not matching it that it was hard to keep focused

its not just a great boss theme for a terrible boss, its a really fuckin EMOTIONAL song for anyone whose childhood was fuckin defined by the first game!!!

and look you had a PERFECT FUCKIN EXCUSE for a REALLY GOOD boss battle against MY MAN GRUMPY GRANDPA OF THE COOL DAMN NAME. Seriously guys analogman was THE FIRST digimon villain! digimon world came out before the anime, digimon world was the BETA FOR THE ANIME! this was the first place they had the ideas for file island, so much of the areas in the game are awkwardly mistranslated versions of stuff that would later appear in the anime in a different form. before this digimon had never been anything more than a fuckin 2-bit graphics tamagotchi and this was (after the manga) only the second goddamn time these monsters had an actual full colour character design! all of those charmingly janky 90s gross out show styled tcg illustrations? that was concept art that this game was working from! fuckin hell this game thought up the idea for metalgreymon’s changed design that ended up becoming the iconic partner of tai in the anime. (you can also see beta tai in the manga with a beta veemon as a partner instead! o_O)

Geez, I’m starting to think I might be psychic. Second time now I’ve hit the nail on the head when it came to the summaries. At least for 56 anyway. 57 I didn’t see coming at all since we already had this duel and I didn’t think we were going to get a rematch for Playmaker vs Bohman at all unless it was going to be a tag duel with Playmaker and Soulburner vs Bohman and Haru. I mean, it makes sense in a way since Playmaker thinks that Bohman still has Jin’s consciousness, which he doesn’t, but it still seems way to soon for a rematch. Playmaker has only had two duels this season: Bohman, then Blood Shepherd, and now Bohman again. Really don’t know how to feel about this in terms of dueling action but I think we could be learning more about Bohman during this episode and 58 if this duel continues into that episode which is going to be interesting just to figure out how screwed up his mind truly is because of all the memories rewrites. Plus, if he is one of the Lost Children, I can see it being confirmed during this duel.

Now onto the big topic: Soulburner vs Blue Girl confirmed for 56 with my guess it is going to start at the end of 55. Yep knew this was coming a mile away with how Soulburner has been following Playmaker’s season 1 pattern. If the pattern continues to hold true, he should be dueling Revolver next or one of the big bads of the season. Maybe Haru or the shadow guy maybe?

However the thing I wasn’t expecting is that Aoi, as Blue Girl, is still using Trickstars. Okay, I knew it was a long shot on her using a Water archetype but I was convinced she was going to be using a new archetype because of the whole new Blue Girl identity. In my opinion, this is just really stupid. I get it from the card game perspective. Trickstars are the top deck at the moment in the TCG when they are combined with the Sky Striker archetype and I believe they are still doing well in the OCG as well regardless of the fact that Trickstar Reincarnation is at 1 for them. There was no way in hell Konami was going to allow the writers to have Aoi switch archetypes considering she is their cash cow at the moment but when you are looking at it from a writing standpoint, what was the actual point of her assuming the Blue Girl identity in the first place? Blue Girl was made for her to go under cover but she isn’t actually hiding the fact that she is Blue Angel when you allow her to keep using the same archetype!

I swear to god, if Soulburner figures out that Blue Girl is Blue Angel just because of the fact that she is still using Trickstars, I’m going to face palm so hard because Aoi, you walked right into that one.

Other then that stupid complained of mime, I have been looking forward to this duel for a while now and I can’t wait to see how it plays out. Of course, we all know Soulburner is going to win because as long as he has Flame, he can’t lose unless the plot is heading in the direction where the Ignises are starting to get captured for something, but I am very interested to see how he is going to bullsh*t his way out of this. We have a Fire deck vs the literal burning you to death deck and when you really think about it, Soulburner shouldn’t be able to use his Skill. Burning Draw drops his life points to 100 and if Blue Girl has Lycoris on the field for example, he literally is going to lose just by using his Skill. Just anything he is going to do is going to burn him so unless he pulls out a monster that negates Burn Damage or instead makes him gain Life Points instead, in RL, Takeru should honestly lose this duel.

Well calling it now, Soulburner is going to summon a Fusion Monster that does one of those two effects because there is no way in hell he can use Burning Draw without it killing himself.

As for Blue Girl’s side of things, I can’t wait to see how the writers are going to make Trickstars lose again. Again best deck for a reason and all the writers are doing is showing that Aoi is a terrible Trickstar player for anyone that plays the game competitively. Geez, if they are just making Aoi continue to play Trickstars as Blue Girl just for the card sells, they aren’t doing a very good job of convincing people to play them if she continues to lose with them. The summary did however say that Blue Girl is going to be using some new tactics so maybe she is going to using a different Extra Deck summoning as well. I can see Trickstars getting any of them besides Xyz since they don’t have many monsters that share the same levels.

Or, you know, Aoi finally got herself a play set of Droll & Lock Bird during the three month time skip and is now putting them to use. Very doubtful but I would laugh my ass off if she actually did pull off the Reincarnation lock. Soulburner’s reaction to that would be gold XD

The interactions between these two is what I’m really working forward to. If Akira told Aoi that Soulburner is one of the Lost Children, I wonder how she is going to react to him considering her reaction when she found out about Playmaker’s backstory. Then there’s Soulburner and once he finds out about Blue Girl being Blue Angel, this guy is just going to be fanboying like crazy. I feel like this duel is going to be something similar to Selena vs Yugo and that’s just going to be amazing.

There’s also the fact that they could be Speed Dueling in a windstorm still because of Windy and considering from the preview of 55 showed that Blue Girl looked to have fallen off her board already because of the wind, I can honestly see if happening again dueling this duel with Soulburner saving her. Does that look good on Aoi’s character? Nope but that would still be adorable regardless. However that might just me being biased because I’m really liking the idea of Aoi/Blue Angel/Blue Girl x Takeru/Soulburner.

And speaking of the whole Aoi situation, I seen some people not happy about this duel since Aoi is definitely going to lose and that just goes back to the whole females getting terrible treatment in Yu-Gi-Oh. However, I look at it this way. After this duel, Aoi has officially dueled three of the Lost Children: Yusaku/Playmaker, Spectre, and Takeru/Soulburner. No one else at this point has dueled all of the confirmed Lost Children (Jin doesn’t count until he duels). I feel like that’s an accomplishment on its own and she did put up some memorable fights against them, regardless of the fact that she did lose to Playmaker and Spectre. Plus, look at it like this, if something should happen to the boys, like they go hivemind for example because of their Ignises, Aoi has the connections to them to at least free one of them from their control, giving her the big win she truly deserves. Of course, that’s just speculation at this point, who knows if that plot line will actually happen, but she does have the connections to do something. But no seriously, if she doesn’t get her rematch with Spectre, I will be very disappointed and I will so be fixing that in my Dark Signer AU for sure.

So yeah, I’ve got a lot of expectations for this duel and I can’t wait to see it play out next week. Same for what is going to lead into this duel during episode 55 which I’m very much looking forward to that as well.

New High School Campus Fighting Policy Description: Any students who caught having physically fighting with students within the school campus perimeter will be fined $400. If cannot paid the fine those students will be expelled from the school. I have a "Fight Request" Reputation to keep. The New High School Campus Policy in a way created more conflicts and complication to my "Fight Request" Reputation. Like I wrote in "Fight Request" establishment, it is my generous offer to TCG Players and students who wanted to start a fight. Example: There are many rounds in the tournament to get to the Championship round. My reputation is beyond the championship round. I had a TCG Tournament First Place Streak. I achieved the Pokemon Master/Duelking title from the countless battles. I had many of the "Fight Request" fights. In those fights I had overcame my opponents. So, TCG Players and students would be glad they got their ass kicked by me than some random persons.

Fighting Policy In My Life As for my TCG Tournament First Place Streak, in a way I had used my "Fight Request" Reputation to protect my TCG Tournament First Place Streak. In High School, it is a new world with the new policy of $400 fine for fighting. My family immigrated to the USA Country. Like I wrote in my Stardragon Treasure (StarDT) Post/Articles, my siblings and I don't have birthday's presents, Christmas presents, and allowances from our parents. So, the policy of $400 fine for fighting is a great impact. Example: The line, "Just request the fight, if you wanted to start a fight." had a possible fine of $400 fine within the school campus perimeter. The USA Country Policy Makers decision, school District Policy Makers decision, and USA Citizens/Voters decision. During my Elementary School Graduation Baseball game, Adult VS Elementary School Students, at least there were a chance. The new policy, $400 fine on fighting limited even more than before. There going to be more conflicts and complication protecting my TCG Tournament First Place Streak. In the TCG Tournament place, the Garnet TCG Players had told me that they willing to chip-in to cover for the inventories damage if a fight had broke out in the TCG tournament place. Example: There were Garnet TCG Players who got weekly allowances from their parents, so they will chip-in about months of their allowances to help cover for the inventories damage. As for adult Garnet TCG Players, they had income from their jobs/contracts, so using their income to help me cover for the inventories damage.

My Father Ancestral Birth Place During the Japan Revolution, when Japan had got into the "New Era", the Shoguns and Samurai warriors who had been serving the Japan Emperor had take a new path to become mercenaries. Other cases, those Shoguns and Samurai warriors would knee on ground. Step #2: Join my high school wrestling team. Those wrestling matches are like the "Fight Request" fights. I also joined the high school tennis team. The tennis racket could be equivalent to using a sword/weapon. There were some military recruiters walking around my high school campus. There were time they would even create booths at the high school campus. Also, those military recruiters had came into my wrestling team practice a few time asking wrestlers in my wrestling team to join the military. After I got my high school diploma, and after I exchanged phone number with the military recruiters, for months of time I been keeping in touch with those military recruiters. I had severe family conflicts. So I kept my family affairs at severe family conflicts. My family was against joining the military. When I am at the military base, I will send my family a letter explaining about why I had joined the military.

There were immigrated family stereotypes and discrimination. The following are examples: 1. My family had immigrated from the communist countries. USA country had war with the communist countries in the past. Communism was consider a threat in the USA country. 2. During the past World War, Japanese military air strike on Pearl Harbor had destroyed a few of USA naval bases. 3. During the meets with the military recruiters a few time I had told them to keep my military drafting files at confidential.

In summary, after some processes of the USA military drafting, I was rejected. So, I joined the Shimura Training Camps. I was grateful that the Shimura Training Camps had accepted me.

Joining The Army Part 2

Before my Shimura Training Camps Training begin

My TCG Tournament Solution 1. The Anti-Fighting New High School Policy 2. The Rejection From The USA Military #1 and #2 are equivalent to those Anti-Pokemons and Pokemon Protesters protests and ACTS. Example of the ACTS: Burning Pokemon merchandises while there were a high demand for them. Also, gathering parents together to create "Organized Religion" to go against Pokemon TCG, Pokemon Players, and Pokemon fans. In summary, I concluded that the TCG Tournament going to have similar impact like in my life. Example: The TCG Tournament at "Name Of The Game" would fall into the category as Local Tournament. Even though, there were International TCG Players. So, Local Tournament would be at Shallow-water or waist-down water. As for the Anti-Pokemons and Pokemon Protesters that would be deep ocean. After I establish and develop the TCG Tournament, I will declare the TCG Tournament to the mass/public. So, after the TCG Tournament Intermission, I had decided to go beyond the Pokemon Tournament (PT) and look at other TCG Tournament to find solutions and establish the solutions I had.

My Stardragon Treasure (StarDT) Solution As for my Stardragon Treasure (StarDT), I been putting a lot of my time, effort, and determination to keep my StarDT in competition. Also, there is going to be "temporary not-in-service" when I start my Shmura Training Camps Training. Read StarDT Post/Articles for more information. I sold about a thousand dollars worth of Pokemon TCG cards and also from the saving from my Domino Pizza part time job, I use that sum of the USA dollars to background check my parents in many Provinces of China. I still have some USA dollars left over after return to the USA country. Since I had decided to go beyond Pokemon Tournament (PT), so I purchased a super size box of Kaiba Decks and Yugi Decks. The super size box would be equivalent to a few boxes of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards. Coincidentally, Yu-Gi-Oh TCG was SOLD OUT and there were a shortage of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG. Even though, I had not got into the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG matches, but I was able to supplied some Yu-Gi-Oh Players with Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards. Before my Shimura Training Camps Training, I had decided to explore the Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT). There were two main reasons: 1. I was known as the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG supplier in the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG shortage 2. I had dedided go beyond Pokemon Tournament and look at other TCG Tournament.

Flashbacks: Before My High School Graduation My Yu-Gi-Oh TCG supplies did not last long before it was sold out. But, I had save 4 Kaiba's decks and a rough collection of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG cards for me to construct my Yu-Gi-Oh deck. There is a Blue Eye White Dragon in each of the Kaiba's decks. Furthermore, I was surrounded by Yu-Gi-Oh Players. Yu-Gi-Oh TV Series were like at the movie theater full of audience each time it is being shown at my house. Even though, I did not pay attention to the Yu-Gi-Oh TV Series, but I could barely have room to walk around my house. The whole school TCG Players were saying that Andy's Yu-Gi-Oh deck had won against all the TCG Players expect me. Also, Andy been asking me to get into a Yu-Gi-Oh match against him. I had protected my TCG Tournament First Place Streak, so Andy's streak might not be at the same level, but the whole school and Andy been waiting for this moment. In a way, the saying, "Behold my First Place Streak Standard/Quality." There were many Yu-Gi-Oh Players gathered for the Andy and I Yu-Gi-Oh match. More audience had gathered than during the Yu-Gi-Oh TV series being shown at my house. There were many cheering from the audience when I summoned my first Blue Eye White Dragon. "I summoned all 4 of my Blue Eye White Dragons." In summary, I had made a grand entrance into the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG.

The Beginning Of Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Tournament (YT)

Not long, Andy came to sleep over. Like a slumber party. Mandatory, because the "Risk" boardgame took about 5-6 hours to finish. I had a Pokemon Master/Duelking title and a TCG Tournament First Place Streak, so there are First Place Streak standard/quality. As for Andy, his streak had ended in that Yu-Gi-Oh match against me. At least Andy did not lost his TCG's Streak to some random persons. I had a TCG Tournament First Place Streak. So, I consider Andy as a closer classmates than my other my classmates.

Even though, among the classmates, there are Yu-Gi-Oh gathering, but we did not joined the Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT) yet. Also, by now, "Name of the Game" stop hosting PT regularly. Basically, using the Time Capsule explain about my situations.

Furthermore, from the "Risk" Global Domination Board Game, all the "Risk" Players concluded Andy is the street smart. In addition, Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, technically fall into TCG category. I had decided there will be TCG Players joining the YT with me. This is not a new thing. Example: In Garnet PT, there were the Garnet Pokemon Players who were in the PT with me. In addition, the Garnet Pokemon Players and I had maintain the PT for a very long time. Also, this is different than the Squad TCG Players. Each of the Squad members had specialized their decks to target certain First Place Quality.

Like I had wrote in many of my articles, the TCG Tournament Custom did not get that much recognition from the mass appeal. Basically, outside of the Garnet PT, it is like another world.

Furthermore, I taught, shown, and advised many Pokemon TCG Tournament tutorials and tips. Same thing with Yu-Gi-Oh TCG, but not as much because YT history just beginning. The Yu-Gi-Oh Players in my circle of classmates could get the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG tutorials if they needed.

In summary, with my TCG "Multilevel" and Andy's street smart, so the classmates and I had decided to check out Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT). In addition, the YT is hosted at "Wizards of the Coast". For a period of time, I was at "Wizards of the Coast". I am pretty sure there are a few employees who still remember me. So, I added, "I talked with the Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament Coordinators before, so we should be fine." As a way to comfort our trip.

In conclusion, I had a Pokemon Master/Duelking title and a TCG Tournament First Place Streak, with Andy's street smart, not long, after checking Mission Valley "Wizards of the Coast" Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT), the classmates and I started construct our decks to join the YT.

Because of my Pokemon Master/Duelking title and my TCG Tournament First Place Streak, my classmates and I did not join the league. The exception was Andy did joined the league. But either way, my classmates and I made "Wizards of the Coast" our regular hang out place. Objective achieved. Since the moment, I read that "Wizards of the Coast" is coming to San Diego that had been the Objective. I could not help it, but I already saw what going to happen to "Wizards of the Coast". Write up a proposal, and leave it somewhere, so that the employees could see it. Would the misunderstanding like from before make thing complicated? In conclusion, I made a few purchases to support "Wizards of the Coast" as often as I can. I did support "Wizards of the Coast" all the way until the very end. First the game room was shut down. Then, not long, "Wizards of the Coast" was shut down. Possible in the Army, because of my talents and skills, I would be transfer to train for Guerrilla Warfare. University Town Center (UTC) Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT) Since my classmates and I had our mind set on joining a Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament (YT), we decided to do some searching after "Wizards of the Coast" was shut down.

The decision was on University Town Center (UTC) and Artifact. Those places have hosting of YT. Artifact is known for TCG Tournament. As for UTC, beside UTC had hosting of YT, UTC is also a Transit Center. There are following reasons, why I would preferred UTC. 1. Gasoline had went up in price, taking buses cost less than driving to UTC. 2. Inside the UTC, there is Banana Republic. My instructor told the class, he had work at Banana Republic before. Just barely able to afford the fees to get his teaching degree. 3. From the title, UTC, UTC could translated as a "Distinctive Community" 4. From #1-3 and also UTC is a well kept multiple stories mall. In other words, The UTC Atmosphere had that higher standard than other malls. Again, I am protecting my TCG Tournament First Place Streak. Taking a few steps is mandatory.

The Schedule is checked. UTC YT start at around 12 or 1 noon time. I got there around 8ish. I don't think I would complain if I get transfer to train for Guerrilla Warfare. The reason I had that thought, because I still had thought about my army rejection. Also, from the Shimura Training Camps, Gen's stories about his Guerrilla Warfare in the past war. Those are scenes are not from our everyday activities or everyday values. I look through UTC food court stands. I found myself the best possible breakfast. "This could be my last meal." While having my breakfast, I seated directly facing the ice stadium. There were stadium workers setting up the ice stadium. There are alternative ways. Example: Pick up my phone, phoned my classmates, "I can't make it for the YT." Without joining the YT, I could enjoy watching the hockey competition on UTC Ice Stadium. Beside Andy, all the classmates are using a lot of the concepts that I had in my deck. In addition, they thought I was set by using my Blue Eye White Dragons deck. All of them are taking my advises, so they did not question my decision. Even though, it was my classmates and I first YT, but the classmates still favored me as going to get first place. Anyway, it is the first YT, so it is like starting a new record. Another alternative ways: Phoned my classmates. "UTC is a huge mall. I got lost. I can't find the YT location." I still don't know where it is located at. I still have not search yet. But, I knew it was somewhere close to the spot I am seated at. My hunches was very close. YT location was only a few steps away from where I was seated.

Getting Ready For Competition Historical Facts: During Marcus Aurelius as emperor of Roman Empire. Roman Empire had cover most of the Europe countries. Marcus Aurelius gave gladiators/slaves award of ascension. If my TCG Tournament First Place Streak did not get recognition, then would the people recognize the emperor, Marcus Aurelius? I concluded there are two possibilities I could get recognition: Possibilities #1: My TCG Tournament First Place Streak might be recognize Possibilities #2: The emperor, Marcus Aurelius' Award of Ascension might be recognize

I phoned my classmates telling them to get there earlier, because my classmates and I still don't know about YT rules yet. There could be modifying processes require. I foresee a few YT rules, so I was expecting modifications. Andy's deck is what I am concern about. Anyway, in the phone Andy decided to sit-out on UTC YT. "Guerrilla Warfare" mean to overcoming obstacles by using improvises and cavalry. This is an important concept. Because of the Anti-Fighting Policy, Army Rejection, Immigrated families stereotypes and discrimination, and severe family conflicts that is happening in my life. These things that are happening in life are like obstacles. So, "Guerrilla Warfare" mean to expected obstacles in the YT. "Guerrila Warfare." I will use this opportunity to say that I did not know the YT rules, so I constructed my deck at the spot. I just slapping down the cards I had and completed my deck for the YT. As I enter the Game Room that the YT going to be host at, there were two Yu-Gi-Oh Players dressed in their suits and holding their brief cases. I asked the YT Coordinator, if this is the right Game Room. The YT Coordinator confirmed that I was in the right Game Room. I decided to wait until all my classmates show up, then we will all together learn about the YT rules. One of my classmates, show up with a printed out of the YT rules from the Internet. "No problem. I was expected for modification." I would comfort my classmates.

YT And PT Noticeable Differences 1. Byond the 4 cards of the same name rule, there are many cards only could have 1 card per deck. 2. There is a side deck that could be switch with the deck, in between matches

A few of my classmates gave me the gratitude for taking my advises. Basically, I already told them there would be possible YT rules different from the PT rules. As my classmates and I are listening to YT Coordinator informing us about YT rules, those two Yu-Gi-Oh Players dressed in suits approached us. "I had no idea. There were so much differences." This line mean were those two suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players the ones who told them to not give me the recognition? Because they might give me advises, but I had a TCG tournament First Place Streak. This is why I wanted recognition and build up reputation. In other words, to avoid these situations. As I am having awareness of those two suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players approaching us, I continue on the scene. After my classmates and I heard the YT rules, we constructed our decks. Example: Jiria Gumo and La-Jin. My classmates happen to have some extra 7-Color Fishes. Before the Suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players started giving us advises, I introduced all my classmates. "All the Yu-Gi-Oh Players know about us, so if you guys have any questions just come to us." Then the two Suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players walked away.

Beside my TCG Tournament First Place Streak, the following are why I don't need advises from them: 1. "I am going to use your advises against you in the final." I thought to myself. Either way, those two Suited decided to sit-out on this YT. 2. "Does not mean anything, the next time I face them in the final." I had another thought. In other words, I am embracing the YT energy and spirit.

Right away after getting first place, I got the recognition at YT, the Yu-Gi-Oh Players wanted to engage activities with me. "It is happening again. My first place streak." I would thought to myself. From the talks with the Yu-Gi-Oh Players, the two Suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players had a noticeable record. In addition, they give out advises and tuturials. I happend to pass by and had a few looks, I saw TCG Players was asking one of the suited TCG Players advises on Cannon Soldier. "Is one of them using Cannon Soldier Deck?" I asked the TCG Players. "One of my classmates is also using "Cannon Soldier" deck." I added. "But that person "Cannon Soldier" had never been defeated." The TCG Players replied. "He claimed as one of his best." "You are the first to use Jiria Gumo."

Jiria Gumo And Cannon Soldier Furthermore, one of my classmates use "Cannon Soldier" , so I understand about the mechanic of "Cannon Soldier" . The question would be, how much differences is there between those two "Cannon Soldier" decks? Yugi is the main character in the Yu-Gi-Oh TV series. "Cannon Soldier" is one of Yugi's cards. There might be a story behind it. I was known at my school for the Blue Eye White Dragon. Blue Eye White Dragon is Kaiba's Reputation and signature cards. So, it was natural for me to use La-Jin, because La-Jin is Kaiba's cards. Example: Many Yu-Gi-Oh Players already saw me summoned 4 Blue Eye White Dragons in the match with Andy. I started walking away from the YT, there were Yu-Gi-Oh Players asking if I would join YT again. "I will be back to the next YT." I would told those Yu-Gi-Oh Players. "Even if the Yu-Gi-Oh Players think that the final would be a close match. They would favored me as the victor. Too obvious that it is consider difficult to summon 1 Blue Eye White Dragon, I summoned all 4 Blue Eye White Dragons." Beyond my TCG "Multilevel", there is the misunderstanding about how I able to summoned all 4 Blue Eye White Dragons. Example: "Not just lucky. Super lucky." In conclusion, I included a few side deck cards just in case, the Undefeated "Cannon Soldier" show up. The YT pairing is using computer system, if I happen to paired up with one of suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players. Example: In a match against them. Like I listed above, there are obstacles in my life. I have those obstacles in my life, because of my TCG Tournament First Place Streak. So, I will going to protect my TCG Tournament First Place Streak.

TCG Tournament Solutions I walked pass the seat I sat this morning eating my breakfast. What happen if I did not left that seat? I look over to the Ice Stadium, a hockey match is going on. "I am like another person. Example: I got recognition in the YT. I am Pokemon Master/Duelking, again." I am going to begin my Shimura Training Camps training soon. Ever since the decision about joining the Army, I had stay away from TCG Tournament. I thought the match with Andy was my last TCG match. Olympic Game Committee: There are a live meeting of the decision of the next Nation who is going to host the Olympic Game. United Nations: United Nations was created as a solution to the World War. To end the World War, the United Nation create a live International broadcast of treaties signing meeting. All the Nations part of the World War show up to sign the treaties. TCG Tournament Custom: I still need to find solutions. The following are reasons why I have to find solutions: 1. "Name of the Game" stop hosting PT with exception from Pokemon Players request it. 2. "Wizards of the Coast" did not last long, then it was shut down. Solution to TCG Tournament Custom: TCG Tournament Custom need a Metropolis. The concept of my Blue Print. Metropolis mean an important Central of Attention. I got this much on my Blue Print. Later on, during my Shimura Training Camps, I came upon another concept which I wrote in the article, "Marathon". In "Marathon", there is the concept of "Obstacle Course". TCG Tournament Custom conclusion, YT is temporary. Example: In Blademaster Content, "Abe and I", 1. I was still in Middle School, so the district had not Austere Restriction my invigoration. In other words, PT will last longer than YT. I should be glad about the YT if I get half of the time I had in the PT. Cannon Soldier From the expressions and reactions from the two Suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players after watching my Jiria Gumo deck getting first place. Also, the things I heard from the Yu-Gi-Oh Players. I could tell those Suited Yu-Gi-Oh Players' decks are not that far away. There are two possibilities: Possibilities #1: They sit-out on the YT again Possibilities #2: Each of the YT rounds had computer system pairing In addition, they choose to sit-out during the YT which mean getting first place is not important to them. My "Rain Dance" TFPD had protected my TCG Tournament First Place Streak. Blastoise is the main Pokemon in the "Rain Dance". Blastoise is a Shell Pokemon. So, I had a "Catapult Turtle" with me. Cannon Soldier is a Machine Type. Capault Turtle had a machine device builded on Catapult Turtle's shell. Also, both card ability are almost the same. The difference is "Catapult Turtle" ability does more DAM than "Cannon Soldier" ability, but "Catapult Turtle" take extra turn(s) to summon. My classmates know about my "Rain Dance" TFPD, so they know why I had "Catapult Turtle". That is how I know about the mechanic of Machine Type. Jiria Gumo After the first YT, my classmates decided to copy my Jiria Gumo deck to use in the next YT. My classmates would repeated the line they been saying before, "If you wanted to get far in the tournament, I suggest copying Pokemon Master/Duelking deck." Now after the first YT, they are doing what they had preached. Jiria Gumo multiplied at least a few time it original value, play value, and trade value. "Guerrila Warfare." Even with the increase of values, it is still lower values than a lot of the "Ultra Rarity Cards". Example: Jiria Gumo is in the category of Common Rarity Cards. There are cards in the category of "Ultra Rarity Cards". In addition, I categorized Jiria Gumo as "Mixing Explosive Chemical". Mix the wrong chemical, it will create an explosion. Jiria Gumo Tip, Jiria Gumo is an advance card. I tutored all my classmates on Jiria Gumo tutorials, before they start using it in the YT, so they don't mix the wrong chemical. In addition, I advised Yu-Gi-Oh Players that Jiria Gumo is an advance card. Example: Seven Tools of The Bandit is one of the most common used Trap cards in the YT. Mixing Jiria Gumo with Seven Tools of The Bandit, it is a self-destruction. In summary, the Undefeated "Cannon Soldier" and Jiria Gumo are the two noticeable decks in the YT. In conclusion, I need the following steps to find solutions and establish the solutions I had to keep the TCG Tournament in competition: 1. Step 1: Marathon 2. Step 2: Underground 3. Step 3: Metropolis One of the reasons, there are those obstacles in my life, because TCG Tournament had not been established like Circus, Fair, Theater, Opera, and etc. So, when the TCG Tournament Custom had Significance and Importance. Then, I could post arguments like, "It is not just a street performance." I shook hand with the Circus Performers, I could felt the sweat in their palms. The Circus Custom is well established.

The Pokemon Master/Duelking countless battles had created a way of discipline and inhabitant. In those discipline and inhabitant had rules and standards. So, after Disaster #1-3, I put my focus on my StarDT Logo and StarDP Logo. Also, Shimura Training Camps.

Arachnus Story

The saying, "The Dark Hours before Dawn."

There were blood on the sidewalks. Some of those blood were from the TCG Player who had stabbed with a pencil on my shoulder. I tossed that TCG Player to the ground. Punched that TCG Player a few time. Then, that TCG Player got up from the gorund and went away. There were many people saw that fight. I concluded there are much more competition in the TCG Tournament. Competition create tensions and stresses. Tensions and stresses create problems and conflicts. I had kept the TCG Tournament in competition and maintain the TCG Tournament for a very long time. In a way, I had developed a bond with the TCG Tournament Coordinator. So, the fight is reported to the TCG Tournament Coordinator. The Coordinator and my thoughts are similar. So, if the Coordinator want to limit the risk factor by abandon me from the TCG Tournament. Coordinator could do so by giving me an explanation I would probably know where the Coordiator is going. Furthermore, there were many TCG Players who told me that if the Coordinator kicked me out of TCG Tournament, they will join me in another TCG Tournament place. I did not get kick out or my First Place prizes did not got deduced either. The Coordinator told me he heard the whole story. There were blood on the sidewalk. Also, he is concern about his inventories, because he saying that those inventories cost him money. Some of the Garnet TCG Players heard the Coordinator and I talk about my fight. Right after the talk, I had a meeting with the Garnet TCG Players, basically I am telling them I hate to have to abandon them and leave. One of them ran into the meeting, telling me he confirmed with the Coordinator, that I could use my First Place prizes to cover for the inventories. Then, the rest of the Garnet TCG Players added they will all chip-in if my First Place prizes is not enough. As I am heading back to my house, "We will all chip-in." Those lines echoe in my head. I had a "Fight Request" reputation to keep. Example: Just requested the fight. I had never once back away from the "Fight Request". Even if I have to put that TCG Player through a table inside the TCG Tournament place. I will not back away. The ambulance came to my Elementary School campus. A student fell from the Money Bar, there were loud screaming. The whole Elementary School could be heard. Weeks later, the "Chicken" game on the Money Bar continue on. I shook hand with the Circus Performers, I could felt the sweat in their palms. Circus Guards/Security, Circus Insurance, Circus Custom, and etc. Circus had been so exceedingly established. Yet there were sweat in their palms. I am a in my Middle School years, the line, "We will all chip-in." that is all I got.

In conclusion, Arachnus Story, is based on my stories of protecting my reputation.

Furthermore, AW Deck had met many of the goals. The following are the goals: 1. Able to follow ups on the Content #7, Arachnus Story. I had a TCG Tournament First Place Streak. I achieve my Pokemon Master/Duelking title from the countless of battles. Also, I had a "Fight Request" reputation. 2. Able to demonstrate the A Decks theme. Example: AW Deck is the Introducing Deck to the A Decks 3. Able to meet the AW Deck Focuses 4. Able to meet the Grand Display goal on the Web Development concept 5. For TCG Players who planning to join MT (Magic Tournament), AW Deck will able to have some competition in the MT. Also, will have a further understanding of the A Deck theme 6. When Ishkannah, Grafwido come into the Battlefield, you will be able to create 3 1/1 Spider Creatures. If you have 1 Coat of Arms in the Batttlefield, then that is equivalent to +3/+3 for each of your Spiders in the Battlefield. 6. When Penumbra Spider is put into the Graveyard from the Battlefield, you may create a Spider similar to Pendumbra Spider. 7. Use Birthing Pod Plays from the MT TIP I had shown before. You should be able to get Plenty of Spiders with the Birthing Pod Plays.

Note: On Fists of Ironwood. Example your opponent have Krosan Colossus 9/9. Then enchant your opponent's Krosan Colossus with Fists of Ironwood. Krosan Colossus will gain Trample. Use Rootwater Matriarch to gain control of the Krosan Colossus. Rootwater Matriarch ability only work when Opponent's Creature is enchanted.

LNL Deck Focuses: 1. Obelisk Spider And Nyx Weaver 2. "Status Counters" 3. Cycling Note: "Status Counters" are -1/-1 Counters and +1/+1 Counters.

Beside having your creatures declaring attacks as offensive moves, the most noticeable offensive moves is using the offensive spells, Hazardous Conditions. The following are ways to correctly use the Hazardous Conditions spells: 1. Graft your creatures 2. Invigorating Boon your creatures 3. Oran-Rief, the Vastwood your creatures 4. And/or strategically use the Cauldron of Souls.

All those ways to use the Hazardous Conditions spells is known as putting "Status Counters" on your creatures. Furthermore, whenever putting one or more -1/-1 Counter(s) ("Status Counters") on a creature will trigger Obelisk Spider Effect. From LNL Deck Focuses #1 and #2, once understand about Obelisk Spider Effect and "Status Counters", then move to #3 Cycling. There are many Cycling Plays.

Arachnus Story In Arachnus story, Arachnus and his kind had developed the Webs to mark their territories. Example: In the AW Deck Biography, there are Plays when you have Arachnus in the Battlefield and using your Arachnus' Web to take control of the Battlefield. In LNL Deck Arachnus kind had added "Status Counters" concepts into their Webs. With the newly developed Webs, there are countless Plays waiting to be develop. Obelisk Spider also developed an effect to increase the "Status Counters" even more than before. As the Arachnus' story continue, Arachnus foresee there is an epedemic force like the ones in Innistrad. Example: There were many sudden wars broke-out all over the Provinces of Innistrad. Even though, those wars are sudden but its impact was great and wide. Example: With many of the established Vampire Families take part in those wars, those sudden wars still continue on spreading across the Provinces of Innistrad. Perhaps, those wars in Innistrad had reached Arachnus. Also, had been ocupying Arachnus' thoughts. It is a foe, archenemy, contender? Or it is because Arachnus' reputation? In the midst of these thoughts, Arachnus had a sight into the future. Arachnus saw a series of battles with many creatures fought and die. Then, those many creatures respawn back from the graveyard and continue on fighting. "Mortal Kombat." Arachnus thought to himself. Not long after Arachnus had that sight into the future, Arachnus receive an invitation. In the invitation, there were two words. "Mortal Kombat." MT TIP

TIP #1: Obelisk Spider And Cauldron of Souls Plays 1. Have a Cauldron of Souls in the Battlefield 2. Have one or more Obelisk Spider in the Battlefield 3. Whenever a creature under yous control is put into the Graveyard, and does not have -1/-1 Counter on that creature. Then, you could activated Cauldron of Souls Activated Ability to return the that creature back to the Battlefield. Put a -1/-1 counter on that creature. 4. From #3, when putting the -1/-1 counter on that creature, will trigger all the Obelisk Spider effect. In other words, whenever your creatures are put into the Graveyard, Cauldron of Souls will trigger Obelisk Spider effect. Note: Ornery Kudu and Banewhip Punisher when put into the Graveyard will tigger all Obelisk Spider two time instead of one time. Example: Remember to trigger the effect seperately.

TIP #2: Nyx Weaver Plays 1. Objective: To have some cards in your graveyard. Example: NYX Weaver ability 1, on the beginning of your Upkeep, you put 2 cards from the top of your Library into the Graveyard. 2. Have Oracle of Mul Daya in the battlefield so that the top card of your Library is revealed. Also, another Oracle of Mul Daya ability is you may play Land card from the top of your Library. If you don't want your Library top land card to be put into the Graveyard, then you may play it by using Oracle of Mul Daya ability. Note, LNL Deck have Crucible of Worlds, so if your Land cards are put into the Graveyard, you may still play them. 3. From #2, use the Crop Sigil to create more chances to have Land cards on top of your Library. Also, From #1, use Crop Sigil to have cards in your graveyard. Note, Crop Sigil ability is slightly different from NYX Weaver ability 1. Example: First difference, you have the option to put card into your Graveyard. Second differentce, you put 1 card instead 2 cards. 4. From #1, once your objective is met. Then, use Nyx Weaver ability 2, Treasured Find, and/or Crop Sigil to retrieve cards from your Graveyard to your hands. Also, if you have Crucible of Worlds in the Battlefield you may play land cards from your Graveyard.

In LNL, Arachnus had spoke up, and said that Arachnus is going to face a force that will put Arachnus Reputation to the test. Arachnus Reputation had drawn members with reputation to join Arachnus Army. Fauna Shaman who field of expertise focus on shaman known ability. The ability to spirit connect with all the members in Arachnus Army. Fauna could call for any of the members through spirit connection. Using Fauna focused ability to called for Kor Spiritdancer and Argothian Enchantress. The Spiritdancer and Enchntress will honed the battlefield. Auras and Enchantments in the battlefield will exceeded at an amazing rate. The honed abilities will exceeded even greater when Arachnus enter the battlefield and summoned Arachnus' Webs. As Arachnus foresee, "Mortal Kombat" creatures will die and respawn at amazing rate. So, Arachnus focus his objective on summoning Arachnus Army. Summoning Arachnus Army is known as Spider Spawning. The "Mortal Kombat" or "Spider Spawning". The Wilderness had their perseverance. Spiritdancer will enhanced and honed this perseverance. Giving the Ancestral Mask massive amount of power and toughness. A long with the Spiritdancer is one of Spiritdancer favored sidekick, the Bear. The Bear Umbra will restore all of your lands in the battlefield with each attack.

Mortal Kombat (MK) Invitation (I) Deck Biography

I had a TCG Tournament First Place Streak before I even got into MTG TCG tournament. I had constructed a handful of TCG Decks that had protected my First Place Streak. Roman Empire, Dynasty, Mongol Empire, Britian Empire, French Empire, and etc. All the empires in our history had been overcame.

The story goes, Arachnus had a reputation. MK had created a force that will put Arachnus reputation to the test. From the MK, come an Elemental Force. The question: Who are at these levels of competition? My answer: I had a TCG Tournament First Place Streak reputation.

Like I wrote in Arachnus Story, as I am writing Arachnus Story, I foresee the "Mortal Kombat", but the MTG MK style. MTG had Elemental. So, the Elemental Force had gave the MK an amazing speed that exceeding sonic boom. Another focus is the mass number of Elemental constantly being summon into the battlefield. Also, those Elemental have the ability to be respawn after being send to the graveyard or die in the battlefield. Also the mass number of Elemental and respawn ability is equivalent to stamina and endurance. Because of the exceeding speed, there are the possibilities of running out of cards from the Library. There is the exceeding standard concept. This concept mean using the exceeding speed as an objective in the match. So, by having Laboratory Maniac in the battlefield when the Library run out of card, you win the match. By using Mortal Kombat card in I Deck, in a way had created MTG MK style. This style had written in Content #11, Mortal Kombat (MK). The mass number of Elemental being summon into the battlefield. Also, the exceeding speed from I Deck will increase your speed of reaching the Mortal Kombat objective. The objective is having 20 or more creatures in the graveyard and you win the match.
