This is exactly the point I was trying to make! Some kids are inclined to the macabre from the get go, and they shouldn't have to wait until they have the appropriate dexterity to play a survival horror game in order to embrace their love of the dark and unusual!

No more forever loveless or unhappy Boone headcanons. No more “he’ll never love again” this or “he can’t be happy anymore” that. Sure he’s going to always struggle with his grief and regrets, but that doesn’t mean he can’t try to work around it. That he can’t find a silver lining.

I’m putting my foot down, he should be able to pick the pieces back up in people’s stories, not just wallow forever like how he does in the end game slides. The man is 26, you want him to be this way for the rest of his story? Sure, his character development was flat in the game, but that doesn’t mean he’s resigned to it in people’s art and writing.

i need. i need some lgbtq+ people to literally understand that they have heteronormativity envy, and the fact that they're attracted to a certain gender (or all of them, or none of them) doesn't mean that they have automatically graduated from the heteronormative mindset and now they're good and free and "above trivial labels".

Like, i dont know how to tell you this, but it doesn't matter at all whether you're a lesbian or a pansexual or an aroace or any other thing under the blazing sun, if you look at two (or more) people existing in a story or a ship and you can't rest until one of them is feminine/dainty/submissive/soft/obedient/patient and kind/selfless/sacrificing/"pretty"/bottom and the other one is masculine/ "strong"/ has abs that have abs/ does heavy labour/ is dominant/ rough and callous / aggressive / a jealous taker / "hot and vile and mean" /a top, then congratulations: you have heteronormativity envy and you do in fact want to be part of the traditionally heterosexual gender roles, you like them and you're grieving the fact that you can't partake in the established norm. And your grief and envy shows up in the fact that you turn every single dynamic you see between people into a close-enough replica that could give you a semblance of belonging and "fitting in" within that specific framework. You having a certain sexual preference (or not being oriented towards attraction and sexuality) does absolutely nothing to your perception of people's dynamics; you're not automatically clean of learnt heteronormativity just because you're looking at homosexual dynamics.

Every single person asking "but who's the top and who's the bottom" and then fixating on it for eternity, anyone who "just can't imagine the soft one dom'ing or the dominant person bottoming", every one of you that makes the feminine-coded character temper with the masculine-coded character's shitty emotionally immature antics and see "virtue" in them being patient even as it serves absolutely no point and no concept in the story– you're a part of this talk. You're part of the heteronormative framework, and you'll only be over it when you can see people as complex identities instead of a cheap sub/dom dichotomy.
