Of course, my favourite character is Fresh, but he’s not exactly a Sans so I couldn’t pick him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (sorry Ink I still love you pookie <3)

Handplates is one of the most well written, most heart wrenching and tearjerker comic I’ve ever read in this community. Sans’s depression, faith in his brother and overall character is so great and well captured. I cried at the ending. God. If you haven’t read handplates I recommend you do. It’s a 10/10 read.

Thistle is such a tragic character especially when you realize that for the ageing of elves compared to tall-men I'm dungeon meshi, he was like 15-16 when he became the dungeon master. Like, due to the fact that the races all age at different rates, delgal accidentally adultifies this 15 and gives him way to much responsibility and pressure.

This leads to thistle's becoming consumed with the want to protect delgal as he is like a sudo younger brother/child to him. This leads to thistle getting stressed and eventually going made. What we see in the manga is not a grow adult throwing a temper tantrum, but instead a kid throwing a temper tantrum in a attempt to not lose everything, a desperate bid for everything to go back to normal.

It's like a kid kicking and throwing things cause there scared. And once we see that, all were left with is a scared and angry teenager trying their best to live up to the expectations placed on them by others and themself.

I’m not normal about Jeremy Strong like his ludicrously capacious vocabulary is insanely attractive and the way he explains things so earnestly with such feeling and thought, like he’s so intellectual without coming across as arrogant. I've been doing a lot of analysis on Good Omens recently so here's some things I've gathered from the scene in S1E5 where Crowley is talking to himself drunk in a bar after he believes Aziraphale had been killed. (This might not be new for everyone, this is also just my opinion and thoughts, I'm just having fun so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt lol) Before going into the quote and what each part means, I would like to specify that Neil Gaiman stated that Crowley isn't the most reliable narrator of his own fall. From this I am assuming that although most of what Crowley is saying aren't direct lies, but that he likely sugarcoated and holds back some information. Neil also stated that Crowley (before the fall) wasn't as innocent / good as he paints himself to be, and isn't nearly as evil as Heaven would like to imagine.

“I never asked to be a demon. I was just minding my own business one day and then, oh look here, it's Lucifer and the guys. Food hadn’t been that good lately, didn’t have anything on for the rest of the afternoon. Next thing I’m doing a million lightyear freestyle dive into a pool of boiling sulfur.”

There are a few things that we can take out from this quote.

“I never asked to be a demon.” This is the second time Crowley specified his intent with falling. He never wanted this, he never meant for this to happen. Although he doesn’t directly say that he feels it's undeserved, it is clear that he in some ways regrets his actions and that the intent of falling wasn’t there.

“I was just minding my own business one day.” Here's what I believe is very clear sugarcoating on his behalf. He paints himself as innocent and unknowing of what would happen. Although it may be true to some extent that he didn’t realise it would lead to him and others falling. It would be wrong to assume that it wasn't also his own doing which caused him to join Lucifer and to join the rebellion and further, participate in the great war.

“Look here, it’s Lucifer and the guys.” These are the people he blames for falling, the “wrong people” he hung around with so to say. (There was a theory at some point that Crowley was Lucifer and he was talking about himself in the third person but this has been debunked by Neil Gaiman who said that Lucifer turned into Satan.) In this way he is also somewhat sugarcoating (imo) because he makes it seem as if others dragged him into the rebellion and the war, while yes there may have been peer pressure and outside influences, Crowley is someone who makes his own decisions and doesn't just go along with something he doesn't agree with.

“Food hadn’t been that good lately, didn’t have anything on for the rest of the afternoon.” Another instance of Crowley sugarcoating what had happened, I personally find it hard to believe that just one random afternoon a large group of angels just on a whim decided to rebel and start a war, as well as that I find it hard to believe Crowley joined the rebellion and war because “the food hadn’t been that good lately”. There was definitely a more serious and substantial reason for the rebellion and why Crowley joined. His language here also plays it off as no big deal, while clearly, it is a big deal, he just has a hard time confronting that reality.

“Next thing I’m doing a million light year freestyle dive into a pool of boiling sulfur.” This line is very different from the others, as his tone also shifts slightly, you can clearly feel the hurt and pain of this memory. From this we also learn that when an Angel turns into a Demon, they fall into boiling sulfur. But clearly to Crowley, this is a very painful and traumatic memory, I just wanna give him a hug.

anyway let’s not think about how that was the first time he blatantly showed his queerness. he deleted it right away but it was enough for us to see. and I know he is probably shit drunk but I hope he knows how much genuine support he has in his journey. My mom: *sees me hard at work crafting and not talking to anyone just spacing out with my headphones in* wow I wonder what's got him so quiet?

Me: *thinking about tired MK. MK who has had enough of everything. MK who ever since the spider Queen has felt like a weapon, like if he stops training or doing ANYTHING then everything will fall apart. MK who has tried everything under the sun to feel better and cope but no one understands--not truly. Not enough that the burden of being the hero gets any lighter. Even working alongside Mei, his best friend in the whole world, he feels the need to be the leader, because as great as she is she doesn't have his powers. MK who, ever since the Lady Bone Demon, has a bittersweet relationship with the Monkey King, to the point where he can't look him in the eyes anymore because when he does it just hurts. MK who, as soon as he gets the perfect chance, goes to see macaque to see if MAYBE he has some advice, though deep down he's just worried he'll be tricked again.

Macaque is intrigued at the kid's sudden lack of energy and how everything about his energy just seems darker. Still, Macaque tells his true opinion to the kid when MK asks about the Monkey King. He's just Wukong, just a lazy immortal who only ever disregards others. And when the kid leaves with an odd sag in his shoulders he can't help but feel worried for him, even if he tries to deny actually caring about him.

MK who goes off on his own without telling anyone. MK who stops by Redson's house to ask if he knows any good demonic runes or something to make it so people can't find him. MK who disappears for a fairly long period of time and no one can get a hold of him because even though Redson thought it was a strange thing to ask for, he still complied because it was worse having to look at MK's oddly sad face.

MK who gets used to being alone. MK who never settles down, is always on the move in between different cities and towns, and he has no idea why but there's always some sort of half assed care package waiting for him by his bag in the morning, and along with it a poorly drawn doodle of him. On his birthday, there's a full note, signed by all his friends, even Macaque, not asking him why he left, but just asking him to come home safely.

MK, who, after a full year away from home, makes the trip back. He's happy to see that the city hasn't fallen apart without him, happy that he won't have to clean up a mess.

MK, who walks into Pigsy's and feels a lump in his throat when he smells his favorite recipe being cooked. Pigsy, who just about jumps over the counter to embrace his son, Tang joining in, and as if she could sense it, Mei appears too and causes the three of them to collapse onto the ground as she throws herself into them.

MK, breaking down into sobs without any words as he allows himself to be loved. The Monkey King, who goes to MK instead of the other way around, very patiently waiting his turn to speak to him because he knows this is a lot for anyone who missed the kid. Macaque showing up as well alongside Redson and both will still deny how much they care for him but they don't even try to mask their relief at seeing him safe and in one piece as he sits down to eat a proper meal.

MK, who goes to sleep that night in his childhood bedroom at Pigsy's place instead of his apartment because they both need the reassurance that the other is there.

MK, who feels refreshed after finally getting a break from everything.

Febuwhump Day 2 - Solitary Confinement

Based on @zelda-the-sacred-realm's comic, particularly her lore about the Hero of Time! Hope you like it :)

The destiny of a Hero was to be alone.

Link knew that in his heart. He had accepted it, and that acceptance had made him stronger.

There was nothing else to be said about it. Loss and abandonment were so ingrained into his being at this point... what else could there possibly be? The harder his heart, the better. He had long since acknowledged that there was to be no companionship for him - friends were fleeting, and love even more so.

His resolve had been tested, once, when a young, scared Hero in the making had approached him on all fours, trembling and lost. At first the boy had been a disgrace to the title and legacy, trembling and lost as he was. He'd felt more like someone to protect than to teach.

But oh had he learned. The boy was quick, mature, courageous. Link had been so proud of him.

But then the boy had died. He'd died and Link had been powerless to stop it. And once again... he was alone.

The destiny of a Hero was to be alone. And so alone he remained.

Until one day, a new young man wearing the proud green approached his statue in the remote village, and destiny called once more. And though it beckoned him, and though Hyrule once again needed his help, he found himself surrounded by companions, and...

The destiny of a Hero was to be alone. Even with his dearest Hero back alongside him... he knew it was inevitable.

Link, the Hero of Time, had to focus on his duty. Everything else would leave him, as all things did.

Sometimes when I see gifsets of Aaron with Chas and Paddy hugging in celebration or in comfort, I think of how Robert hasn't had that since he was a teenager. And he'll never have parents again. Honestly makes me so sad!

If he gets out of that place and comes home, he'll have to face a wishy washy little sister and an angry ex-husband. Ex in-laws who merely tolerated him. He's not seen his little boy in years. Liv is dead and so is his gran, and Diane's moved away.

I'm really not an Andy fan, but it actually would be really nice if the Sugden boys could have a chance to reunite in the future and put the past behind them. It would be great for Robert to have a brother / best friend, even if it was just temporary. A guest stint from Kelvin if Robert ever comes back would be so good.
