So, @animate-mush who’s wonderful writing keeps inspiring this series to new heights has had Quincey call him “Father” in parallel to Jonathan’s ‘Papa’ and yeah I can definitely see Dracula pressing for that title, both by his ‘right’ as the reason the child is a vampire in the first place “He owes what he is as much to myself as to who’s blood he shares. And doesn’t some of mine run through him now as well?”

And also just because he knows it’s a knife in Jonmina’s hearts to hear Quincey call him that

How the relationship actually pans out? I think that in actually it’s much more of a creepy weird uncle situation, mixed with a lot of Palpatine corruption attempts. Dracula finds Quincey’s whole existence deeply interesting, seeing the Harkers attempts at domesticity is incredibly bizarre to him and also humorous—I think he really feels at some moment Quincey will twist into proper Vampire mode and break his dear papa’s heart doing so, and robbed of his chance to take over England he’ll take his kicks where he can get them.

i sure do wish. Minthara was not villain batted as hard as she was. Her being locked to "evil" runs and being mutually exclusive with several party members. Her being nothing more than a miniboss for your average player- who does not even know shes a potential party member! Her being so chronically unloved by the community because... shes the "evil" companion. Hell, even the amount of people saying frankly really edgy shit about killing her or hurting her completely unprompted lmao. Like I genuinely think shes been pretty unfairly demonized both by the community and by the meta of just like... the game itself because she's really actually..... kind of, dare I say, sweet? if you get to know her. ugh.

Honestly I really want to be able to side with Solas in dreadwolf. I think it'd be super interesting to play as an elf in Tevinter and be able to just go "yeah actually I think Fen'Harel is right let's tear down that veil." I mean I assume the main conflict will be Solas trying to convince your character to join him, or your character being told they have to try and stop him, and there are not enough games that let you side with the presented "villain" character. I want to see what the world is like with no veil I'm so interested. Also so interested to see what full-on Fen'Harel Solas is like. Is he still as empathetic? Or is he more conniving and distanced from "mortals" like the old stories would have us believe?

YEAH LITERALLY. inital conflict is literally dean being angry at sam for trying to move on and heal which is just so intensely unlikeable and for some reason i was shocked by it and it made me genuinely dislike him. to me dean is at his most awful in s8..... like he's not. he's definitely not. gadreel possession in s9 and like most of s9/10 with the mark is much worse than anything he does in s8 and killing amy in s7 was sooo awful too. but dean is just so intensely a dick in s8 and i was so angry with him and not even in a fun way. like in s9/10 he is AWFUL but i enjoyed the drama. i didnt even enjoy the interpersonal drama in s8. which is when you know something is wrong

then again. im probably too harsh on it and am basing it off memories of sitting through the first half because i LOVE the trials and sacrifice and the great escapist so so much. and i love kevin <3 he's s8 right. but. to me s8 will always be the worst season. maybe i just hate what it brings to the shows canon. sam leaving dean for a girl and a dog (which is NOT EVEN WHAT HAPPENED... and if it WAS it wouldve been justified.... id support sam even if i thought he abandoned dean unprovoked idc.....) is constantly brought back like the worst of his sins even as late as like. s11. SHUT UP. first half of s8 is just upsetting for sam reasons and not in a fun way

I think I just generally hate reversal AUs in general 6ecause they feel far more contrived to make all the characters fit into each other's roles or actually miss where the mirror they want to see the other side of actually exists in the original story.

I do enjoy a good AU but reversals in particular just never vibe right with me, like, if you enjoy them that rules but I just can't.

I wrote about this on discord a bit back but I think a big part of the whole doctor-master complication is that it's the type of argument and the master is the kind of person where they'd rather die than do something that might make it seem like conceding they're wrong, regardless what they actually think, and that's why "where I stand is where I fall. Stand with me" that almost works on Missy: She has made her move here, she killed him- made so he's dead when the other shoe drops- and he knows and acknowledges that and can offer her a way of coming near him and being on the same side without it being her side losing, saving face that she can join him in this. And the speech very much highlights how to the doctor it's never been about winning, always about harm to people and help to people, but I don't think the master is as affected by that as by the 'if you want to hold my hand now I can make it so it doesn't make you seem the fool for your past actions'.

ough i love musa/helia dynamics so much actually they're so funny to me

first impressions... i feel like musa was,, initially interested in him being an artist, especially a more traditional one! but considering how much musa holds grudges, i think him walking away from the monster definitely made her Not like him until Someone (probably flora) started talking about him positively or inviting him so she could meet him properly.

as for helia,, it might sound mean but i honestly don't think he had any real impression of her until after he starts to hang around them more. he was very much focused on flora and eventually the specialists and i honestly don't think he had any like,, assumptions or thoughts about any of the other winx (except maybe bloom?). BUT after he actually Meets them i think his first impression of her would be,, strong and emotional. i don't think he'd be annoyed or anything, but he does notice when people are more open about their emotions (ex riven or timmy) so overall he'd think of her as a very Open and Emotional person. which,, isn't exactly wrong but isn't exactly right either yknow?

they're so interesting to me actually like both of them being Emo Artists tm and musa constantly singing his praises plus the added rivelia and sonicpetal dynamics,,they're just so funny to me akjhgdjdalkg

Anyway, what made me interested in helia,,, honestly, it's boring but it was literally just the fact that he was flora's love interest. flora was my favorite character growing up so that automatically made me interested in him! but if i had to choose something really specific for him, it's actually the ep8 monster scene! i think i've said this before but kid me thought he was SO suspicious and i was so sure that he was going to be a fake like avalon or even a spy. he wasn't and i remember being kinda bitter cause i was like what's the point of making him mysterious if he's not evil 🤨 if hot and mysterious then why not evil 🤨

Genuinely concerned and astonished (and also kind of horrified) that “killing people is bad always*, yes, even the people who probably deserve to die for their actions” is as controversial an opinion as it apparently is

*killing people in defense of oneself or others is understandable, not saying people shouldn’t like. Protect themselves or other people. I still think killing should be a last resort but also like yes protect yourself and others obviously

Smth that I always come back to in the pee Nureyev experience is like. My view on Peter and Mags relationship and how I disagree with like 99% of the fanon interpretation of it (and also perhaps the canon starting in S4) (and so will ignore it henceforth) like Mag is . Nice. He's nice.
