Ngl, I'm feeling kind of relieved that YiDiao might actually wrap up before the end of the season. Obviously, we still have two episodes left, but I feel a lot better that it looks like a second season isn't inevitable?
I also would just like to say how I really enjoyed the YiDiao NSFW scene. It was so cute. I really loved how different their scenes were compared to LianNuea, and I just really liked how much smiling there was. I was not expecting MaxNat to get any steamy scenes, but they were really well done. Idk, I just enjoyed it.
Someone should really tell Diao about the dog incident though. Like, I'm glad ya'll are together my babies, but please.
I am happy that we got such a loving scene with them but it felt... it felt good but also kind of empty?
Like, nothing has changed. Diao still doesn't know what happened to him. Yi still hasn't spoken to him about anything besides a decleration of love. Which is well and good but is not the end all, be all of a relationship.
I love what they did with the scene. The sheer joy they shared was amazing. It was a beautifully done scene and possibly one of my favorite make out scenes of all time in all BL, no denials. They're both very good actors and very comfortable together and it was very good to see that come together.
I don't know what happens from here. They could just settle down and be happy or we could be in for a boatload of pain. I mean, Lian and Kuea are the prime example of how this show seems to handle two people agreeing they're in love without complete honesty and it's not good.
So I am worried. I liked it but I am worried.
But I just adore Yi and Diao. I really hope they can manage more understanding that Kuea and Lian have.

I needed a few days to let the finale of cutie pie to leave a taste in my mouth but.
I like this series (ᗒᗩᗕ)
And i have complaints and i wish it had a bit more domestic fluff and not just explicit stuff but the chemistry between them exists and they didn't developed psychic mind reading powers to understand eachother but they talked.
The proposal scene was sweet, also more appropriate than one that is infront of whoever distant family and business partners birthday party. (I can only imagine how awkward the dad felt for that).
When Lian said "i have indulged myself too much" i was like "FINALLY" cause like, "i never asked you to be my boyfriend" and then 3 days later you propose while you have made your fiance cry once again, because of the same problem.
"i have a fiancé that is too afraid of me to confess to me his real interests and thus there's this emotional rift between us and is also insecure about our bond because i talk to his parents about him and our future more than him, what should i do?"
"I sHaLl MaKe A sUrPrIsE pRoPoSaL!! WhAt CaN gO wRoNg?"
It's not in my top 5 but it's nice and cute ,i like it that it didn't use some cheap drama to have an "obstacle" to the relationship. The annoying woman who is trying to get my man trope was kept for only 5 minutes and that was to emphasize the problem that Kuea doesn't feel like Lian acknowledges his feelings. And the relationship problem was an actual problem, poor communication, alot of people say the conclusion wasn't satisfactory in execution and i understand that.
But i liked it 7/10
hi anon!
thank you for sharing your thoughts!
for some reason the finale already feels ages away for me and idk if that’s a good thing or not dkjhhfg
but anyway I agree!
In regards to the domestic stuff, I think we already got a great deal of that. Sometimes certain scenes turned into something more but I personally don’t think it was too much. We got 2 scenes that were a little more intense and the rest was just fooling around and I thought it was all very sweet and not at all oversexualized.
I don’t think we have to even talk about the ZNN chemistry because boy, I have no words lmao. Outstanding. However - and I said that about Bad Buddy too - there’s only so much you can rely on that chemistry when it comes to plot; you have to work with something that makes sense lol. So yes, I do wish they had talked more too, amongst other things, butttttt I’m happy with how the finale went down. The scene where they talked and made up could’ve been a bit more extensive but I’m glad it happened to begin with lol. So I’m okay. Yidiao on the other hand were very frustrating and the only way I could forgive them was if they got their spinoff lol but that remains to be seen. I could go into this more but for now, let’s leave it at that.
There’s no denying that the proposal at the birthday party was dumb as hell lmao but I already talked about that. The second one was clearly better. And them both making plans to propose to the other was actually something that I was hoping for from day 1 lmao and I teared up when it happened jkdhg I loved that so much 🥺 The scene where Kuea flipped the tables and proposed in the same way that Lian did previously was so sweet and while I still would’ve liked it better if they had been alone, it was still a very sweet moment! 💜
I don’t know if the show is in my top 5 but definitely in my top 10. There were moments where it was more of a love-hate relationship lmao but all in all I did love and cherish it and I’m happy with how it all turned out, even though it wasn’t perfect. But what series is. When you say their relationship problem is an actual problem, you’re 100% right. Miscommunication is very much a thing and not only in romantic relationships. It’s easy for us to yell “just talk to each other!?!” at the screen but it’s not always that simple. Which is not me brushing over their poor communication (especially yidiao) - but it’s something to keep in mind for sure.
But anyway looking back on it a week later - without glossing over anything - I have mostly good things to say about the show; it was adorable, funny and overall a very nice romcom-bl, which was very well produced. They went all out in every aspect and they got the attention they deserved.
For me it’s an 8.5/10.

Back to Cutie Pie…
I loved Diao and Yi’s scenes this episode.
Finding out that not only is Yi guilty and confused about his feelings and place in Diao’s life, he’s also being blackmailed by Diao’s family in some manner in regards to what happened to Diao years ago.
Diao continuing to not let up with Yi and demanding to be treated with respect and for honesty from Yi.
Yi continuing to poke back at Lian, whenever Lian tries to tell Yi what to do…
Yi deciding a puppy was his way back into Diao’s good graces, though based on the trailer, it’s not just a gift, but maybe Yi is actually trying a little honesty finally.

Ep6 y’all…I’m a little embarrassed to say I actually teared up during this ep…I’m as dramatic as Yi is this ep…
Segway to YiDiao this ep!!!. Is it just me or does Diao always look terrified/ anxious to talk to Yi? 😅Like no matter the situation, Diao looks like he’s shaking in his boots…protect this boii. That conversation about taking care of him felt so sincere, and Diao just saying he doesn't want anything except spend time with him just- omg crying rnn sweet boi😭😭😭
And Yi's dramatic ass goes off to get drunk💀 bc trauma or smth…chill… and yeah as he says he’s a heavy weight bc it looks like he drank like 6 full red wine bottles… that can’t be healthy. Drunk Yi is hilarious tho and gotta say Lian belong a good friend and bringing him home is a really nice gesture and shows how they have a great friendship- yes they bicker and laugh and tease over eachothers relationships (bc they both be doing stupid stuff tbh) but its clear from this and other past moments they do seem to have a really nice support for eachother and I love that - Yi drunkenly telling Kuea to not tell Dioa about this was the best bit😂
It seems from the preview that YiDiao will be finally opening up to each other next ep as Kuea and Lian have done this ep…But before we get to that
Let's talk about Nuea/Nuer (I’m still not sure what his name is lmao) *heavy sigh* y’all this ep was a full on attack on this man and I loved every second of it💀💀 - his actor (who’s name I believe is Tutor?) is doing an incredible job at portraying him bc….a bit like Kuea’s friends I have no goddamn clue what his goal is with flirting with Kuea - which is the central reason the squad (the dudes at least since they were present for the interaction on the football field in ep5) distrust his character in general; for which I agree. It seems Nuer is a bit dismissive and ‘fake’ towards the rest of the squad and really only acknowledges Kuea and this ep’s first part sees the development of a beef? I would say, between the squad and Nuer but 👀ESPECIALLY Syn who glares at this dude like he’s gonna kill him; which the other seems to reciprocate the feeling arbeit a bit more cockyly i guess? (is that word?...it is now) they obviously tolerate his existence bc Kuea is okay with it and he is a genius who gets to work on their project - which makes him even more arrogant which is simultaneously infuriating and hot af. 😔
Side note - I wanna mention the ep stars right where we left off to Nuer getting in between Kuea and his friends (who later apologize for their behavior which like get it kings) but tbh it wasn’t even that deep - ESPECIALLY bc Kuea has known these dudes since his 1st year (as seen in the flashback of him telling them he’s engaged: this has been his major since day one) - idk how the uni systems works there but since Kuea is in his final year that is AT LEAST 3-4 years of strong friendship and in comes this dude you just met between your friends??? Bro we met you like a month ago you dobn’t know their dynamics BACK THE FUCK OFF (i feel very strongly about this) 😠😠😠
Kuea giving him his jacket back is very…interesting and this is explored in the conversation/intervention with the squad.
First off love the comedic thing of it being like they legit kidnapped him and Kuea is more just annoyed that they dragged him out here more than anything - again showing their dynamic.
Kuea is aware of the fact he is being flirted with - but seems kinda neutral with all this? Like he returns the jacket to Nuer in a bit of a nice ‘thanks but no thanks’ sorta way but that seems to be the extent of his reactions to the ‘advancements’. This conversation was basically the squad telling Kuea they don’t fuck with Neur’s vibe, especially bc this dude is flirting ith him knowing he is ‘technically’ engaged - their just looking out for him and Kuea knows, even saying that they will back him up if something were to happen 😭
He then goes to say how he doesn't mind bc no ones ever flirted with him (Lian get your ass to work rn tffff) and sort of explains the whole engagement thing (I use explain lightly lol) - immediately the friends are like ‘ur fiance treat u wrong we gonna go beat his ass/chase him off’ - get u friends like Kuea’s man, I love these dudes😤😤😤. More reasons I love these dudes: Lian shows up and Kuea panics - he stutters when saying ex fiancee which is what I assume causes his friends sorta confusion when it came to Nuer: idk my friend of 3-4 years tells me he’s calling off his engagement with the dude he’s been in love with for like his entire life and know his personality enough to call bullshit 😩(evidence n1: Jay remarks in ep 4 about how he doesn't actually believe Kuea wants to call the engagement off)
(Bc well truly he doesn't he’s having a bit of midlife crisis or smth)
And his friends find a middle ground between what Kuea’s has been doing and what he should be doing - they go meet him but with the effort of showing a ‘proper’ image and fully fake being computer engineering majors…mind you I personally fully believe both Foei and Lian know what his major actually is - at least since he went to his second house but probably before that tbh.
And it was just so fucking funny I was screaming😂😂 - when Syn went in and asked for a donation and lost my shit - loved how Lian even offrerd them a ride. 10/10 scene I love them
Not gonna lie I was kinda hoping Neur would show up for the drama of it all 💀- I feel like Nuer and Syn could so get into a fight if syn weren’t such a pacifist …but dam imagine that transitioning into an angry make out scene like…enemies to lovers 5k slow burn right there
Interested to see how Nuers advancements may shift towards Syn in the future (since I believe it's the confirmed 3rd pairing right?)
Now onto the meat of this ep - Lian and Kuea. Oh boy I am down bad for these two😢- This ep was important for me bc after the events of ep4 and 5, I feel that if thse two didn’t have a semblance of a straight up conversertion I was gonna fucking lose it…but were gettinhg heade of our selves.
Personally, I've been a bit iffy on Lian’s approach about this whole thing - his intentions are good but without the clear distinction that everything he does is out of love for Kuea the message is completely lost from my poor boy’s POV.
A important opportunity arises regarding Kuea’s music carrer as Kirin something he is deeply pantionate about but because Lian told him to stay home he does (after seeing there is no way to sneak out - I was screaming at my screen bc literally Kuea just fucking talk ton him your not in a prison ir any– oh that’s right its not a prison but Kuea belives it so (at leats a bit) yikes💀
Side note 2: Lian’s comments about Kuea’s hair made me wanna combust bc get you a man that pays so much attention to you that he knows how you do your hair when even you go out are u serious????😤😳 I was both funny and wholesome seeing Kuea tryna cover his ass and highkey failing lmao.
The bit in the bedroom…first of hilarious but second off does Kuea officially have a vampire kink Lian has known about this entire time or😅?? It was also a bit cringe/awkward..in like the good storytelling way bc Lian wants skinship but it feels so foreign to Kuea he visibly shrinks, steps back, fights it off as teasing and GOD DAMMIT Lian just tell him u wanna smooch him and that this is literally role play for the love of g o d…bc without it it feels very awkward and unwanted…yikes once more
And from that I was just in personal denial as this mf walks back into his room and googles dating advice with the most smitten looks on his face (GOD DAMMIT ZEE STAP IT) but it gets better thankfully cuz i was gonna lose it like Kuea tynna convince himself he still wants to call this engagement off (my dude you are kidding yourself with that one💀)
The pool scene into the date scene was just - hit be like a brick seeing Kuea outright deny any sort of ‘fight’ between Lian, bc that's how he interprets it - and Lina just being like ‘tf what no that not what we're doing here’ the shock of ‘lefts do thing differently and get to know eachother was THE CONVERSATION for this to start happening and I lost my shit - more of this pleaseee😭😭😭
Nothing could have prepared me for that date…holy shit was it awkwards but so heartwarming… Lian making a effort for this to be different than their other dates and Kuea ever so slightly breaking out of his persona to ask why - and this stems from the core of why Kuea acts the way that he does: He doesn't see himself as worthy of Lian’s love and attention and is but aback by this entire thing. The waitress comment is funny as hell because it is relatable but a punch to the face to Lian as he sees his efforts to make this as ‘date-like’ as possible to be in vain.
And FINALLY my prayers have been answered Lian opens up, saying he’ll take them somewhere diffrent of a different date - and Kuea says something really profound here about not caring for the whole ‘date’ term, just appreciating the time they spend together - however it stems from his lack of self worth which slowly throughout ep4 to now has been a reflection of his actions towards Lian in terms of their relationship.
Sid enoten3 - Kuea and Diao are both the sweetest fucking kids that have been raised in comodity their entire lives and yet here they are standing infront of the people they love with self esteems of themselves on the floor, simply content with sprint time with the people they love even if they belive the feeling to be unreciprocated PROTECT THEM AT ALL COST DAMMIT. 😤😤😤
Continuing from after the date - Kuea finally says he didn’t fully mean to call off the engagement and acknowledges what Lian has found out, the entire point of breaking this date-rule they had going on: that kuea wanted to call of the engagement bc Lian doesn’t spend enough quality time with him - a very fair point Lain took to heart and is working towards
*screams in they finally are fucking communicating yall* i legit teared the fuck up during it, the dam fairy light didn’t help
And the buildup of Kuea’s entire goddamn character arc this entire time - the progression from episode 1’s argument. Lian reprimands him as he attempts to do something is self conscious about: cooking - and in recent light of their conversation the previous night just breaks - he cries out his insecurities and his pain and Lian comforts in horror he didn’t mean any of it in the way Kuea takes it - Kuea feels worthless and incapable and Lian just wants him to be okay - staring at the face of that who he love the most and has hurt multiple times with his words - something he seem to struggle with - he makes the fair conclusion of using something else to get his point across: his actions
Especially after Kuea drops this god dam bomb: (an incredble call back to ep1, bc guess what your actions/words have consequences lian)
“This is why you don’t love me” (and the entirety of the monologue before)
AND HOLY MOTHER FUCKING THAT WAS FULL 2 MIN AND 15 SECONDS OF PURE FUCKING L O V E 😭😭😭😭😪😪😤😤😤😭😲
The first kiss, into the second, the gentle pick up into the counter which felt so fucking ugh omg natural, the shouldr kiss to the enck - as if saying ‘all of you is perfect in my eyes, I love all of you’ - Kuea’s harms lifting his shirt from the back followed into another deeper kiss just holy shittttt😱😭😭😭😭😤😤😫😫😫😫😫
Now in terms of this ship, I 50/50 count the car kiss as a ’kiss’ in the traditional sense because Kuea was so stupidly drunk and this kiss in not acknowlgeed by both parties. In 12-13 episode series, when a couple is getting together (at least the main one) I cap episode 6 as the ‘they are finally gonna start getting together’ or as I like to call it ‘THE defining kiss’ - ep6 is a good middle ground in my opinion, before of after you risk dragging it out or rushing it in an satisfying way (tho it can be be done and has been just depends on the pacing)
I wondered if they would have it before since this relationship is technically pre established - such series like ‘Don’t say No’(amazing btw) have this defining kiss in ep 1, bc is about them being in a relationship, not getting into the relationship.
But the car kiss doesn’t count (for me) as this kiss since it doesn't do anything for the relationship: we as the viewers understand the nuance emotions behind it and I think it was a very necessary visceral wakeup call on all fronts for Lian; but ultimately the continue on their cat and mouse thing they've been doing after wards.
The after math of this ABSOLUTE FUKCKING BANGER of a make out scene (this ain a kiss anymore, they were a min away from a make out) , shown a bit by the preview is straight up progress in the way their relationship has been - no more secrets and Lian has finally realized he has to show Kuea his ‘world’ or the way he is in order for Kuea to in return do the same - instead of forcing it out of him. And as much as the roles could be reversed, I think it's important for Lian to be the one to open up first, because it shows Kuea the effort and desire Lian has, to do so for Kuea - who we know struggles with the idea of being loved and desired by him.
I’m so fucking happy this is how it progressed and can’t wait for the way their relationship can only really go uphill from here (unless Nuer does some shenannigans, which who knows👀)
Misc side note - I appreciate whatever writer or producer or whoever makes sure there is at least one scene with Jay (Perth) bc I do in fact need to see him every episode thank you for your service. 💅
Can’t wait for Kilian fluff, YiDiao angst, and squad shenanigans next ep this show is so incredible
(this is 2554 words btw jesus am i okay)

Wanna stop by and say the WinTeam x Cutie Pie crossover fic is absolutely amazing and I cant wait to see how it progresses. Can't wait for these boys to just get their shit together and just say something though the whole push and pull is part of the fun, I suppose. I wanted to ask what you thought of the YiDiao dynamic and if you are aware of the JayFoei ghostship 🤣🤣🤣 the series is quite good imo, all the characters even the background ones are entertaining and not to mention the soundtracks, quality, etc are good. I really hope we get to see those two secretary women again 👀 they were cute.
Oh wow, thank you so much! I love writing that crossover series, so I’m delighted to hear that people enjoy it too. 😊
My friend ships JayFoei, so yes! I didn’t know it was a Thing in fandom, but I’m not surprised! They’d be cute, I think. Foei’s so sweet-natured and Jay’s shrewd enough that he wouldn’t let people take advantage of him. I can totally see it.
Cutie Pie’s really impressing me overall for the reasons you mentioned! Kuea’s a charmingly mild protagonist in that he’s not really over the top in any direction. He’s goofy without being ridiculous, smart without being a genius, possessive without being creepy, reticent without being a stereotypical “uke” type. I’m really excited for the second half of the series. I haven’t read the book, but I did hear some things about the chapter people think BounPrem are cameo-ing in, so I’m very excited for that part. 👀
I’m waiting to see what they’re doing with YiDiao. I really liked them initially, but then I saw a Thai fan review their novel, and…it’s not for me. It sounds a bit like a soap opera generator went haywire and slammed a bunch of overwrought nonsense together, so I’m…a little skeptical about how their story will play out. I really like the actors and how they’ve portrayed Diao and Yi in the first few episodes, but finding out about the novel kind of made me 😬 a bit. I’m hoping the series will go in a totally different direction (and apparently they’re not engaged in the series the way they are in the novel, buuut Yi did protect Diao from a dog likely thinking it’d remind Diao of The Thing, so 👀).
I’m really loving LianKuea, though, and Perth is doing a phenomenal job as Jay. I also love that apparently they just gave Foei’s actor a blank script and said, “Have fun,” and so I guess most of his appearances are ad-libbed, which is both impressive and amusing. 😁

Obviously we have DOOM coming for our main couple because this week was full of snuggles and domesticity. And some sexy time of course. The casual reveal of Kuea’s real uni course via ENGINEERING shirt was fab.
They are using their words more but seriously guys, it’s fine to use them all. Stop delaying on the secret telling. You’re at this stage ffs.
Tumblr media
Does that whole thing with Foie and the bankruptcy papers mean Lian has bailed out Kuea’s family to such an extent that the only way he can survive is seize their assets? Also HI FOIE! I missed my little chaos monkey last week. Poppy has a brilliantly mobile face for mad expressions (and a surprisingly excellent body under that suit).
Tumblr media
Speaking of using your words, at least Diao’s speaking truth but I suspect we are going to leave them on a cliffhanger for an S2. I’m assuming Diao’s mum was killed either in an attack by, or a car crash caused by young Yi’s dog. Which he witnessed and has blanked hence the whole thing with Yi thinking he’s scared of dogs and The Guilt. Diao’s dad is clearly an utter arse as well.
Tumblr media
Apparently they cut a bit of the football match for international viewers after complaints in Thailand. - it showed Nuea falling nose first into Syn's groin for those that want to know. Nuea looked sad that Kuea was all lovey dovey but no further movement so I suspect they are Second Couple for the probable Second Season which will be mained by YiDiao. With a couple of guest appearances by Hia and Kuea who will be living in happy domesticity by then.
We're in the home straight - 3 eps to go!

Okay, are we going to get a YiDiao implosion in episode 12? I feel like in most circumstances I wouldn’t think they’d break up the second couple in episode 12, and it’s not like they’ve announced a sequel. However, I think you’ve said before that this show doesn’t really let characters with secrets live happily ever after, and there’s still A LOT we haven’t seen from them.
I was convinced until last week that we weren’t getting a resolution to their story for sequel purposes but now I’m realllly torn. The preview hadn’t hinted anything about them buttttttt
I just don't know. I can't predict this, honestly, because I am not that good at this.
Honestly, my assumption is that the show will leave them together but... shaky and tenuous with the watchers knowing that the relationship needs work and still has secrets and is going to implode but saving the implosion for the sequel season if it happens.
That's my hope and my assumption and my prayer.
That's my ideal.
I want to know that Yi and Diao have issues to work through but to see them still together so I can dream about their future working those issues out.
If the studio knows they're making a sequel, though... they might not be that kind. I think it all depends on how likely they think a sequel is to be made.
We shall see. But we do have everything set up for an implosion between them and the lack of them in the preview could be extremely dangerous or an absolute blessing. It could go either way so easily.

So where have you landed with Nuer and Syn? Do you think they’re settled now? Do you think Nuer is essentially who he appears to be at this point?
Because I continue to be very unsure and I don’t know if it’s because the show tried too hard at first to make the audience distrust Nuer and now I’m still waiting for a shoe to drop that was never hanging or if there is still a reveal we’re waiting on?
I mean they’re the third couple, it’s entirely possible that this is their story right? Nuer liked Kuea and Syn liked Nuer. Syn tries to stop Nuer from liking Kuea, he thinks for religious reasons, but it’s actually cause Syn likes Nuer. Nuer falls for Syn.
It’s enough of a story for a third couple, but I don’t know I still feel uneasy.
I never thought there was anything beyond 'Nuew has crush on Kuea, Nuer realizes he likes Syn instead, Nuer goes after Syn but in his own way' so maybe I'm not the right one to ask?
I was hoping for a Semantic Error kinda plot with them but they went a lot lighter and more gentle.
But, yeah, I think that's really all we're gonna get. They're a tertiary couple who have been soft and slow this entire time without a lick of heart or a lick of real depth.
Keep in mind that this show is showing up three couples are very different points in their relationship coming together in different ways and that's really one of their highest strengths.
So it makes sense that NuerSyn will mostly just be soft and slow and gentle. They're the only ones who can communicate and they're starting a relationship without any baggage, unlike YiDiao and LianKuea. They're fresh faces, fresh love, new starts.
But, again, I had no expectations and no thoughts on them like that. There just isn't space in the current narrative for high drama from them. It'd feel very out of place with the rest of the show and the way it's been shared. At least for me.
I don't expect a second shoe but I, honestly, never expected a first shoe. They're just two boys learning what it means to love and discovering each other and Nuer was never deeply attached to Kuea, just thought he was cute and funny and generally attractive.
Now, might we get a hint at the second shoe with Kuea dropping his engagement with Lian and trying to make it 'official' by going after Nuer instead to prove that he's really breaking the engagement? We might. But... two episodes? Meh. I'm not sure of it. But I won't count it out.
My bets on nothing happens, but there might be a chance. I just don't think they're going that way.

ok but THAT sudden transition in YiDiao's story process?? Lmfao I mean I ain't complainin' but I didn't expect them to foreplay LIKE THAT already?? I mean sure the sexual attraction obvi was always there but this was so sudden I really need them to talk in this coming episode.. I LOVE THEM SM WAAAAH.. it's just that I need more to understand both of them, especially Yi.. I hope they won't leave us w empty hands
Yeah, having heard the rumors about them getting their own season maybe... I'm very worried about leaving this one unresolved in those hopes.
I loved how they did that. Diao has such strength and genuinely thinks they're in an equal, and loving, relationship. Because he has no memory of whatever injury that happened with Yi and thus he cannot possibly understand what is going on and that's so painful to me.
And Yi holds all this guilt and pain towards Diao that he cannot express and that holds him back from any love he shares with him because he cannot let himself love Diao. He cannot. But he does. He does love Diao, so much, and he cannot let himself.
It's an aching story of two men who love each other who each only have part of the story and one who knows what he's hiding and what he holds and one who has no idea that he's missing anything and it hurts. For both of them.
Diao is suffering because he's scared and confused. Yi is suffering from the truth and guilt and events we have yet to be told.
I hope that they give us some form of closure for them in this show. Just... even just the start of reconciliation and understanding. But I do worry.

Also not us bring 9 episodes in but somehow so much has been revealed between kuea and liean like kuea family being broke but the biggest mystery of the show has yet to be revealed and I’m slowing feeling like we will never know how the heck do we not know what happened to diao yet and now did it involve yi? 9 episodes if this was such a big thing why are the writers taking so long to reveal it? I feel like for the character development to happen we need to know what accident harmed diao I hate that we are still in the dark about that 🤦🏻‍♀️
I have a feeling that they're not gonna reveal it. And it's not a good feeling. It's a dreadful feeling. But I'm really starting to feel like this is just gonna end badly because they're planning a second season for them.
I don't want that.
But it seems likely.
Yi and Diao would, absolutely, cornerstone a show. They're an interesting and deep couple with so much going for them in terms of pain, drama, angst and love.
But that doesn't mean I want a second season. I don't, especially if it means leaving the story untold with the distinct possibility of not being able to go back and give us what we deserve.
The best second season is SOTUS S because both shows are completed stories.
But the shows that get second seasons to complete stories they didn't finish don't tend to do what I want them to do. Actors change, directors change, studios change and then suddenly we're in an alternate universe version of the pairing I fell in love with and, while I might enjoy it, it still doesn't feel like an ending to the original version of the pairing.
Like, I'll admit, I like both versions of TinCan. But the second version doesn't have the same feel and doesn't feel like a natural extension of the first version and so the first version still feels incomplete.
And that's always my worry with second seasons for secondary couples.

I feel like Diao's character development stood out to me this episode. It's been happening for a while, but this episode I feel like the change was super evident. He looks basically completely done with Yi. Before, he was trying to ask him for his time. But this episode, when Yi told him he lived there too and wasn't just dropping him off, Diao looked more annoyed than anything else.
I cannot believe this fool thought a puppy was obviously the best way to patch things up after what happened at dinner. I wish I didn't dread second seasons so much, because in an ideal world, ending this season with Diao just leaving Yi because assumingely Kuea's secret house will be free, would be lovely angst. But I don't want to take that chance.
Also, did the conversation with Diao's dad imply that Diao knows about the accident?
Diao is growing because he's realized that he's worthy of being loved the same way he loves and I desperately hope that he can keep that up. He's seen that Yi's time doesn't change anything. Yi took him on a date and still couldn't speak a word of love in his direction and that was when Diao shut down. Diao is done with not being loved. I adore it. He deserves so much better.
The puppy was cute but pointless. Diao is happy, sure, but it's not the happy he wants and it's barely even a bandaid. It's more like trying to staunch a bleeding wound with a cotton ball. Yi thinks that he can do exactly what Lian did, buy a few gifts and win Diao over, but Lian had love and honesty and growth on his side. Yi has... a puppy. Ain't gonna do it.
I am starting to very strongly suspect that's the ending we're gonna get for them. Sadly. I much, much prefer second seasons based on completed first seasons. Not second seasons continuations of cliffhangers. That's what drove me away from Western media in the first place!
I'm not sure about that conversation. I'm very confused about what Diao knows and doesn't know. I thought he seemed confused about what his father mentioned and his father's intentions but I am horrible at reading body language so I got nothing.
What does Diao know? Maybe someday one of them will open their mouth and say something.
