i would do anything to experience tgcf for the first time again 😭😭
i haven't started to read the extras yet because i dont want it to end... everything about the ending was perfect i really love it...
(major ending spoilers below) list of my favourite things in no particular order off the top of my head
the fact that jun wu didnt die (i like jun wu so much) (but also narratively it makes so much sense)
the fact that mnq stayed with him 😭😭😭 and even when he was helping xl and the others during the fight he didnt abandon jw... thats his best friend...
XL GAVE HIM THE BAMBOO HAT!! 😭😭😭
FENGQING FRIENDSHIP RESTORED
mq just... let fx carry him piggy back?? twice?? what are we
the fact that becoming more honest didnt make mq nicer now hes just more shamelessly complaining...hes so cute i love him...
the fact that junior officials have the balls to gossip about fx to his face ITS SO FUNNY
fx is so unserious
the last scene with jian lan and xie lian ended me I AM SO SAD i hope she knows happiness forever but also now i need an AU where jl and xl are friends
i have a lot of thought about this. i think xl and jl could be such good friends
the fact that mq cant do accounting. hes just like me fr
when pei ming out of all ppl points out that mq's math is Questionable and he just. leaves.
this is maybe a typo but congratulations nan feng on your promotion

So much of Garak as a person starts to make sense once you know his childhood was a fucking gothic novel. His main playground was a graveyard and he'd play pretend by perfoming improv eulogies to an imagined audience. For a long time his main touchstone for most important figures from recent history is 'oh yeah I know about that guy my dad buried him. great flower arrangements for that one'. He finds out later his 'parents' are actually a brother and sister who had to get married to avoid the utter shame and social devastation of having a child born out of wedlock, and they live in the basement of his biological father's house. (the madwoman in the attic vs. the tiny elim in the basement.) His biological father calls himself his uncle and locks him in a closet whenever he fails to live up to his insane and unpredictable expectations and everyone just has to act like that's normal and expected, and his will hangs over everything at all times, unseen but always felt keener than anything else. The father who actually raised him grows the world's most beautiful (and as it turns out, most poisonous) orchids and keeps the mask of a god hidden in a box in his work shed. Everyone in the house is choking down secrets like it's the only air they know how to breathe anymore.
What I'm saying is that right from the get-go this guy never had the faintest shot at turning out normal, so I'm glad that by middle age he's found a way to get a bit silly with it as he continues to be deeply deeply not normal about anything ever <3

Make your own proseka OCs. Make your own proseka unit. By god, make it. If you have an idea, go with it. Proseka lore allows for boundless opportunities. They don't even have to be musicians to have a Sekai. They don't even necessarily have to be in Japan. Project Sekai as a game is a love song to art and artists. You are one. Go nuts.

the significance of the number, 3 in tgcf gets me every time.
xie lian's third ascension is when everything changes (for the better)
hua cheng introduces himself as "san lang" when he meets xie lian after his third ascension. "san lang" means "third son." it's the third time, or the third form (his third life, if you will) that hua cheng has met xie lian in.
there are three calamities (if you ignore bai wuxian, and if you still count qi rong as a calamity)
there are multiple trios — xie lian, mu qing, feng xin; shi wudu, he xuan, shi qingxuan; shi wudu, pei ming, ling wen; and so on.
there were thirty three officials who disgraced xie lian; and were consequently destroyed by hua cheng.
hua cheng released three thousand lanterns for xie lian.
he also died three times for xie lian; first as hong hong'er, second as wu ming, and third as the supreme ghost king.
all this information, coupled with the fact that three is considered a lucky number in chinese culture just makes me feel so many emotions

underrated npmd digital ticket moment: max's beer can that accidentally got left on stage for 10 whole minutes (will was supposed to throw it into the pit where the band was) and they had to improvise how to get it off stage so joey just punctuated his "i'm going to the big game! fuck yeah!" by running over and kicking it after it sort of teleported from the waylon place to the school
