i understand the point theyre making n i dont even rly disagree with it, but it is a bit weird to see ppl put bluey in the same category as the owl house/gravity falls/steven universe/whatever when talking abt adults obsessing over kids shows n acting like theyre deeper with more serious themes than shows meant for adults. like i just think theyre Slightly different in that regard.

becoming an adult soon and feeling weird about it

#weird and a little disheartening to think about how much of my childhood has been spent putting up w being disabled #i know turning 18 isnt actually a huge deal and it doesnt really mean ive lost much but #idk just weird to see everyone else my age going out to the movies or going to parties #or whatever else #and i sit at home in pain most of the time or too tired from pain to do anything #cause going out usually means being bedridden for two days #idk im getting closer to an actual answer and treatment but it took so many years #and im angry that i didnt get to do kid/teen stuff while i was still at that age #i know im young and i have stuff to do in the future when all this starts to get better so im not like incredibly panicked #im just kind of bummed. sort of angry #ive just had a really shitty year and it gets worse when it gets better lately #i am and will be okay i just feel like shit #i watch my little shows and find other stuff to be happy about but it sucks to have missed out #anyway not to get hashtag emo on main about having a birthday soon i just need to yell about it somewhere a little bit i guess #and hi to my friends im ok and im getting better in some places even though im upset about other stuff #i miss u n i love u and i hope the year has been okay so far <3 #anyway i dont think i have to say it but dont rb im just angry at being disabled etc

Something I didn’t notice about episode 18 on my first watch-through was that when Zed and Mara are confronting Beck about Cyrus the language they’re using like, sounds weirdly like friends confronting another friend about a secret boyfriend rather than like a normal friend. Like “we know where you’ve been sneaking off too~”/”so how did you two meet”/asking Cyrus to give them juicy Beck stories all sound more like things you’d say/ask two people you just learned were dating.

hi bestays here’s everything that has happened so far today because i have an hour break before i have to set up for the evening 👍👍

#ok got up at 5:30 bc my alarm didn’t go off so we were kinda late #but i was fine we got here by 6:30 👍👍#then i had to label the dishes for the procession #amd then i had to fill more flower vases with water like yesterday #and then put out all the breakfast foods i got to eat a whole bao 👍👍#after that i set up some of the flower vases on the tables #then i did my aunts makeup my own and then my moms #i didn’t get to b in the procession but tbh i didn’t want to bc their stairs r so high and just putting on those shoes killed me 😭#after the procession i just sat around until my cousin came #and then my uncle made us take photos #i didn’t watch the ceremony bc there was no space in the house so i just hung out outside lolz #so missed the hair cutting ceremony missed the string tying ceremony but i did eat more bao 👍👍#after eating i put my head down on the table and knocked out LOLZ #i woke up bc my brother poured water on me 👎👎#then we took pictures again w the bride and groom #and then i took pictures for my aunt and uncle #atp i switched out my heels for crocs i cld not do it bestays my feet HURT #lot of my relatives told me i look pretty today so i am feeling hashtag slay 👍👍#and then at 1 the morning ceremony ended and i changed clothes and cleaned up outside #so much wasted food like if ur not gonna eat it all don’t take everything brah #and now i am sitting on the couch typing this before i go back to help set up #also someone stole my moms shoesfjfk #and i can feel my contacts sticking to my eyelids #it is also extremely fawking hot like the amount of water i drank already .. she is hydrated she is almost drowning

OH MY FUCKING GOD I AM. very happy. my speech i had to give that i crammed on bcs i was really anxious about even just thinking it and i had to deliver it memorized and in front of the whole class for the first time in years? i only got. minus 1.25

i keep on thinking about how chilchuck claims he is 28 years old and turning 29 that year. he has 3 grown daughters, who were supposedly all grown up and out of the house 4 years previously, when he was 24/25. being generous and assuming theyre triplets. and maybe they all moved out right when they turned 14. chilchuck wouldve been 10/11 when they were born??? is he lying about his age. i wouldnt put it past him. am i just missing something and this all makes sense somehow. maybe he was trying to thread the needle between "around the age everyone was assuming (young adult)" and "too old to be exploring dungeons like this." is there an extra i havent read that explains everything and im just obsessing over this for no reason. does this even matter.

he became a dad at 13! It DOES say that half-foots are considered adults at 14, but since tallmen are considered adults at 16, he was still pretty young. hashtag teen dad chilchuck.

It doesn’t say on this chart, but I think his daughters each moved out around age 10-11? so he and his wife were empty nesters by the time she left him.

It also says that his first two daughters were born the same year, but nothing mentions them being twins, so half-foot pregnancies must be relatively short. maybe he knocked up his girlfriend when he was 12 😵‍💫 and turned 13 and got married by the time mayjack was born

Replica Anniversary DTIYS!

Well, it was one year ago today that I started Replica! It’s been a wonderful experience so far and I wanted to do something fun to show my appreciation to you all! So in celebration I want to do my very first DTIYS, but we’re going to do this one a little differently.

YOUR MISSION: to design a comic cover for the upcoming Replica Holiday Special that is all about the birth of Casey Jr:

The year is 2028, eight years before the start of Replica. The Central Park Colony is still going strong and the turtles now must protect an expecting Cassandra Jones from the very people they are sworn to defend.

As far as theme that is entirely up to you! I’ve always found comic covers to be fun because they don’t necessarily have to show what happens in the actual story. So if you want Casey Senior holding up Junior on Pride Rock, Lion King style? That’s great. You want to do an epic pose of the turtles battling Krang while trying to defend the Caseys? Perfect. You want to have Casey Junior bursting out of a Krang’s stomach like a Xenomorph??? Okay weird, but I’ll accept it so long as it’s not too gory! Also the cover doesn’t have to be Casey centric, I just want to see what you all come up with! (Note: please no NSFW art)

I have included character sheets and some visual development as reference for how the characters will look at this point in the story (though you do not need to strictly follow it. Feel free to give it your own artistic twist). I will also include a PNG of the logo in case you have a vision for how you want it to be incorporated. Note you don’t have to use the logo but if yours is picked as the winner I will be putting a logo in there somewhere!

PRIZES: 3rd Place: an OC of yours will get to be a bg character in Replica (note the character cannot be an AU version of one of the main cast for obvious reasons). 2nd Place: a black and white commission of one character of your choosing. 1st Place: your cover front and center in the Replica lineup (with credit of course) as well as a 1-2 character commission w/ color (please no nsfw requests for either commission).

DUE DATE: NOVEMBER 19 (gives you all 2 months)

NOTE: while not mandatory you’ll probably want the piece to be around the typical comic cover vertical 2:3 ratio (10x15" for example).

A Guide For New Users Fleeing From Twitter, From A User Who Needed One When They First Started:

Hi to everyone fleeing from twitter, Elon Musk is shit and he already has had an actively harmful effect on the site, one that will only get worse. So, welcome to Tumblr, it can be kind of intimidating, given its reputation and how many different features there are, I was certainly confused and intimidated when I first logged on and as I'm active on both I sympathise with y’all, so here’s a guide to anyone new:

Put your hashtags in the hashtag section. This is the only way they’ll actually have any sort of effect, or appear when you search for something. Don’t post them on the post itself.

There is a character limit for hashtags and a quite high hashtag limit. Go wild. Writing entire speeches is common.

Don’t tag lots of unrelated stuff to your posts, that’ll get you reported for Spam and just hated in general

Don’t censor words, users are fine with swearing, doing so especially with triggering content makes it hard for people to limit their exposure to said triggering content.

There’s no such thing as ratioing.

We don’t have quote retweeting, every reblog, comment, etc counts to op’s post. They can see it all, and will be notified depending on their notification settings.

Change your icon, people will think you’re a bot if you use the default.

Give yourself a bio, it’ll make you look like a person.

Follow people and tags, that’s the only way you’re gonna see the content you wanna see. The foryoupage isn’t to be trusted.

Actually reblog stuff, liking has no effect, reblogging is the only important thing here as there is no like based algorithm. Doing so will also make you appear human.

You can hide your likes and who you’re following. Doing so is not frowned upon in the slightest.

You can block tags, similarly to muting words on twitter.

You can have multiple blogs tied to one account.

You can customise your blog, go wild.

There is no word limit, you can write as you want. But if it gets too long make use of the keep reading feature, (the three dots beside the add gif feature)

There is an image limit of thirty, up from the former ten, though for some they may be stuck at only using ten, tumblr is kinda inconsistent. If you want to add more you’ll have to reblog your own post.

There is no reblogging limit when it comes to a post, though there is a daily posting limit, go wild, only your followers will be upset.

You can have videos, gifs and pictures in the same post.

You can just post audio.

Adult content is still banned, but actual moderation and enforcement is spotty, especially if it’s written.

Spam liking and reblogging isn’t a thing. Go wild.

You have an ask box that people can submit stuff to. You can respond or just delete the post. You can remove anon capability from it (which will get rid of most of the hate), or outright bar it.

You can’t private your account but you can restrict commenting and reblogging. Edit: I’ve been informed that you can in fact make your blog password protected, it’s just that it’s a rarely done thing and not widely known.

Block whoever and whenever, it’s not a big deal. Though if someone you’ve blocked has reblogged and added to a post and someone you follow reblogs that, their commentary will still be included in the post you see.

We don’t have muting, only blocking.

Yes, direct messaging is a thing (it’s the little smiley face)

The only way to promote your is through ‘tumblr blaze’, you pay a certain amount of money and your post will be promoted, but not targeted, so no invasions of privacy. You are subject to the employee’s whims on whether or not it gets promoted and unfortunately hate speech has been allowed.

Tumblr has tendency to hide/consume comments, posts and asks, don’t be surprised if they go missing.

Tumblr searching a blog relies on tags, words in the post and the users name, keep that in mind.

Posts will remain after you delete your account or the original post if they have been reblogged.

Years old posts are still circulating and that is considered normal.

You can queue up posts to be released when you’re not using your account. Or you can just post whenever you’re active. Go wild.

Wizards exist and are very popular on this site. Accept it.

There are posts with no notes that will never gain any more than a sing note for your like. Accept it.

There are posts will no op. Accept it.

Trans and autistic people dominate this site.

Don’t get pissy when someone tags a post ‘tw (insert slur)’, or any trigger warning for that matter, most are just being considerate of their followers who may be triggered by such content.

Twitter discourse is regularly mocked, it’s not gonna fly here.

No, we don’t call each other oomfs, or anything like that. We just have mutuals.

Tumblr in general lacks a lot colloquialisms that began on twitter.

We do have ‘blorbo’ ‘poor little meow meow’ etc.

Trying to go viral or trying to corporate is frowned upon.

Tumblr has a tendency to blacklist things tagged like ‘crowdfunding’ so bring that kind of logic you use for twitter posts over to tumblr.

We don’t have twitter circles, co-posting, etc.

Tumblr is surprisingly good at recommending blogs.

There are no verified accounts, and your follower count isn't visible. This is a good thing, trying to change it will get you laughed at.

People are going to just make up stuff, don’t believe everything you see and if it’s a claim about someone, investigate it rather than just believe it.

You can edit your posts after you’ve posted them, but the versions reblogged before said changes will still circulate. This editing of the original has been used as a spruce of comedy

If your worried about people seeing your potentially triggering, or even graphic content and they haven’t blocked the tags you’ve used you can use the keeping reading feature to put the content under the cut and post a warning at the top.

And this is quite important:

Stay anonymous and have fun. There isn’t an expectation to constantly expose inner details of your life, you aren’t expected to use your real face, your real name, age, etc. You’re not even expected to be truthful here. Exist however you wanna exist and have fun, that should be the point of social media.

Also keep in mind that tumblr has its own distinct culture that is going to take some getting used to. As well as a history any user who’s been here a while will at least somewhat understand.
