This was the first time I had actually very, very proudly released a smut. I don’t write smut often mainly because I’m not confident enough. I’m not that happy with the other smuts I’ve posted and I’m considering rewriting them when I have the time, but for this, I really don’t think I would rewrite them. I’m already really happy with how it turned out, and I feel like this was challenging for me because I wasn’t really used to actually reading my own smuts while editing. One of the few reasons I actually considered making a part 2 was because of how much I enjoyed writing this as well as Tequila Sunrises. After a while, it started getting much easier to write it because it felt more natural to me. Even now, I still find it difficult or even cringey to write or read my own smut, but with C&V, it doesn’t feel...embarrassing for me to read. Since I always say that if you don’t feel awkward reading your own writing, then it most likely doesn’t feel awkward for other people to read it too. Which is why I’m proud of this c:

God, I re-read this one myself a lot. There really isn’t anything I would change about this story other than a few edits here and there because of a few typos, but other than that, I’m really happy with this fic. While it is more mid-length compared to a few longer ones I put here, I do feel like there’s nothing else I need to add to make it longer. This goes on the easier side of fics that I’ve written. I wanted to make something more light-hearted since I keep writing angst... and gore... and more angst, so I really wanted to post something that was more on the funny/softer side while still making a plot that would still be captivating. To be completely honest, I was actually scared that I wouldn’t be able to deliver that with this fic. But when I finished writing it, it seemed to have turned out waaay better than I had expected.

I really love this. This was a bit harder for me too. I tend to feel unsure when I’m writing fantasy AUs because I’m scared that I can’t properly describe magic or action properly. While I’m a fan of reading and writing action as well as fantasy, (it’s my favourite genres next to horror and angst) I get worried a lot while writing because I feel like I can’t make readers imagine what I’m trying to write. But with this, while I do feel like there’s a few things that I would change about it, I really like it. I went a bit longer with this (11k) which is also why I do enjoy this a lot. I’m a bigger fan of my own fics that exceed 8k words. I don’t really have much other to say about this other than the fact that I’m just satisfied with how this turned out ^^

AAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCHHHH!!!! I’m seriously SO HAPPY with this one. Fun fact: I wrote this in 2 nights and edited it in 1. Again, I wanted to make something softer and more light-hearted because I’m pretty sure I wrote this after writing the Angel!SKZ series which had a lot of angst and gave me a lot of heart ouch. So writing this right after was to give some kind of soft relief because I was very ouchy about the Angel series (specifically Seungmin’s). I wasn’t really planning on writing anything for a while after the series, which was why I was quite surprised that I was able to grind this fic in three nights. I wasn’t planning on making it slow burn until I reached like 9k words and I realised it was a slowburn lol. I didn’t even realise that I was making it a college AU either which makes me wonder just what goes on in my head when I write.

Another fic that I grinded on and finished in 4 days. This includes the editing process. I find that most of the fics I enjoy the most are the ones that I just crap out of my brain in the span of a few days. This, SFB and Snowdrop are good examples of that. However, I don’t typically like writing so many time skips or cuts in a story sometimes (I like to keep them minimal to around 3 or 4 cuts so it doesn’t become too long) but I felt that the texts and cuts were actually quite fitting for House Sitter. I did end up making it a bit longer than I initially wanted to make it because I was scared that I was making too big of time skips which ended up making my brain go all MonkaS because I wasn’t sure on whether or not it would actually make sense or seem a bit too confusing. It ended up bringing itself together when I threw in a few extra scenes here and there, but other than that I feel like this is also a fic that wrote itself.
