The project Hadakeru Kabitsu has been dropped by the previous scanning team, but I've noticed this team scanned the extra booklet for the series. Would you ever consider working on chapters 8-10 of hadakeru kabitsu?
I’ve actually been thinking about this for a while now.
I’ve recently (tentatively) joined MangaDex’s scanlation group where they plan to finish off dropped projects and I’ve put Hadakeru forward as a potential project. If it doesn’t go through with that group, then I’ll probably finish it off by myself. It’s gonna take a while either way, but I’ve definitely got my eye on it. ;)

why i dislike omegaverse
Lately there are so many omegaverse yaoi manga released and translated. Well, I still read every promising new yaoi manga to find the good ones, so I did read most of the newly released omegaverse yaoi. I found some interesting ones, but most omegaverse makes me... uneasy. In the end I think that in general omegaverse is not my cup of tea, but I’m still going to test read every new release in case something with good plot appeared.
I guess there are some reason why omegaverse makes me uneasy. First, it tips the balance a gay couple in yaoi manga have. Outside of the cliche stereotype ones where the uke is too damsel in distress or too accepting of some rape, couples in yaoi manga usually have some kind of balanced standing. They are both male, they can hold their ground (or when they can’t the reason is usually good), you know the thing. One of my main reason why I fall into yaoi hole in the first place is to escape the heterosexist media that loves to portray the women as the weaker party, or some kind of trophy, all that boring stuff. It’s hard to seek the gay couple balance and dynamics in omegaverse. Even when the omega ones is still manly, can still hold his ground, you can’t peel the omega label from them because all of the omegaverse manga I’ve read always put on the emphasis on how omega is the omega.
Second, the other reason why I love yaoi is it feels amazing to read about taboo relationship (well in most real society) in such a sweet/nice/angst way. They dwell about the hardship of being gay, about the acceptance of society and the people they love, about the abuse the experience, about their experience. I probably am romanticizing them in some way, but they always makes my empathy grow. I want to make this world better for them and another marginalized people. I want them be loved and can love freely in this world. Omegaverse doesn’t have that. Gay relationship in omegaverse is normal because male can now be pregnant. Sex between two male is readily and very acceptable. Society just understands because, hey, who can stand an omega in heat? Humanity is just trying to survive. Yeah ryte.
Third, it makes me... I don’t know. Feel like tiptoeing carefully around the edge everytime I read them expecting some rape and/or excessive gangbang and/or abuse to appear? Usually the tag or trigger warning mentions that, but still. Will the omega be raped again this time? Will he get bittenn????? Will he get pregnant??? Will he be abused agaiiiinnnn???? and so on and so on. It’s different from yaoi manga like, say, Saezuru Tori or Yatamomo which are chockful of rape and/or abuse too. They are raped and/or abused because of bad circumstances and surroundings, but the omegas are raped and/or abused because they are, well, omegas. Ah, it’s kinda hard for me to explain this, and I might be wrong about this too, but if I can word it better than this I’ll edit this lol
Fourth, for me it’s very easy to replace the omegas with normal women. Regardless of how manly they are or how....not woman they are. Granted, normal women doesn’t have heat cycle that severe, but women can be pregnant and on some society (or for some people) in this world are still considered second class citizen and inferior to men, just like omegas. Women are also more prone to rape and abuse. Again, I’m not reading yaoi manga for hetero couple or something that resembles it.
There are still some omegaverse manga that catch my interest, tho.
- Tadaima Okaeri because Hi-kun is cuuuuuute Yukku is too cuuuuuuute and has a nice family issues (to prove my 4th point, Masaki can be replaced with a woman from lower economic class and it would still be the same).
- The newly translated Kurui Naku no wa boku no ban, because the omega is actually the boss of his ow company, that’s rare (prove of 4th point, replace the boss with a sexually promiscuous business genius lady in a society that looks down upon women and their capability of being successful).
-  I’m also waiting for Shounen no Kyoukai’s continuation because I’m curious how shy alpha Kaoru will snatch and save Yuka from agressive alpha Taiga. (prove of 4th point, just....switch Yuka with a competitive girl).
- Totsugimasen Kara because the omega is such a hilarious funny guy. I laughed too much at his ‘free time ghost’ remark to the alpha. (prove of 4th point, this is like cliche soap opera plot where a village woman forced to compete with some other classy woman to win the heart of a young master and somehow the woman wins because they dont bother with politeness)
- I also read Romantic Joutou until the end because.... I don’t remember why. Hebi no Seikatsu looks pretty interesting too.
Oh well....that says a lot about me. I wonder if my internal misogyny is still run rampant because of my reasons are mostly because I don’t like how omegas are so much like women and I don’t want to read them unless they have something different and nice for me.
Sigh. My ultimate joy in yaoi is still the ones like Blue Sky Complex, Links, Kowagaranai de Soba ni Ite, Hadakeru Kaibutsu, or Eigyo Nika. Yume Yume Okirukoto Nakare please update too!!! QAQ
