4. Who felt romantic feelings first?
Hard to say, sense they've always been like this. There's not a specific moment either of them could go back to and say when they fell in love, they've always loved eachother, you know?
Though Luigi was the first to recognize these feelings as romantic, and different than how he loved, say, their mom and dad, and that that was something important. Mario didn't think it mattered what kind of love they had, their mama had taught them Love is Love, so what does it matter, right?
This happened when they were like 7.
5. Did either of them try to resist their feelings?
Maybe not quiet resist, but Mario did consider it for a while.
Around middle school-ish age, 12 or 13, their mom sat the brothers down to explain the difference between Familial and Romantic love, and why that difference was important, kind of assuming they didn't really know the difference in their emotions yet.
The whole thing made Mario feel awful. He'd made his mother worry, his father angry, and worst of all he, the older brother, put Luigi on the line for his own selfish reasoning.
The only reason he didn't fully withdrawal from Luigi and stew in an early sea of self deprecation was Luigi rubbing it in Mario's face that he was right, that the love he has for Mario and the love he has for the rest of their family is different. He did an "I Told You So" dance and everything. He was right and Mario was wrong ha ha ha ha ha!
So yeah. Mario considered resisting his feelings for all of about 20 minutes before Luigi snapped him out of it, and reminded him why that would simply never work. Not for them.
6. If you had told one of them that the other would be their soulmate, what would they think?
Mario doesn't believe in soulmates, he's a simple guy and not all that romantic in the grand scheme sense. Luigi on the other hand is all about Cosmic Connection and the "Over and Over again, life after life, I will find you, and I fall in love with you again and again" kind of cheesy nonsense. He'd be over the moon about it.

I noticed they changed their Spotify profile pic to just the three of them. I get that Charlie isn’t in the band anymore, but it just feels wrong on so many levels.
And you made a good point about that physical gap between Mick and Keith in the photo and how they would probably end up calling it quits if something happened to Mick or Keith. I honestly think they would continue on without Ronnie if it came to that, sadly. I just have so many feelings about this.

Goodnight everyone <3 I’m praying my head is functional and everything goes well tomorrow. I’m trying to be confident and not set my standard too high as well — but if I get this my health would majorly improve. If not, I’m going to have to go really out of my comfort zone to find a job. I have seen so many pretty dress shops recently,,, I’m imaging finally dressing how I truly want.
I love my husband so much ♥️♥️ I need his hugs and cuddles (even if he’s a bit stiff and awkward with it, haha). All my kisses and love xx I think I’m just really tired (it’s beyond 1am, I’ve just been really worried) but I really wish I could actually fall asleep with him. I want to take care of him too, I want to wash his hair and bathe him and cook and bake and garden and clean all for him <3 I do that for my family as is, but it’s so different.

More fallout from the James Somerton debacle; local person reluctant to respond to a post about the racism of disco revival because most of their argument revolves around anecdotal or observational evidence and they're too eepy to collect citable sources
#ok so the gist of my complaints are (and bear in mind that this is not peer reviewed so take EVERYTHING I say with a grain of salt)#that yes Disco was the subject of a racist hate campaign in the US at the tail end of its run but outside of the US it never truly died.#Heck#it didn't even die in the US#just evolved along with the shift to electronic music production over big-band stuff. But I digress#Meanwhile in Europe Disco enjoyed several decades of evolution into HI-NRG and Italodisco and of course House Music#which led to such classics as Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now); the Rhythm of the Night; and many other dance hits#produced and performed by people of colour. And it is that musical environment that Daft Punk (who are French remember) got their start in.#not to mention other more traditionally disco sounding songs of the 2000s like the works of Sophie Ellis Bextor; Kylie Minogue and others.#So anyway I get that the musical industry especially in the USA is racist as balls (has been forever)#but going straight from 1979's “Death of Disco” to Random Access Memories' success is erasing 3 and a half decades of musical history#in favour of a heavily America-Centric narrative.#Anyway subscribe to my nonexistent patreon so I can bullshit my way through more tags like this.

so for the last two years I went to see The Nutcracker live at my local performing arts center; but this winter COVID's been coming back with a vengeance in my city so I'm opting out. I'd still like to engage in it though and while I love the one I have saved on spotify I'd also like to watch it. does anyone have suggestions for a recording of a full performance of The Nutcracker that's on youtube or somewhere else online?

#personal#3 of my coworkers have gotten covid in the past month#and at least four kids if not more have gotten it since october#which is more than i experienced in my time here from the spring of 2022 till now#i'm like the only person who hasn't gotten significantly sick in the past year#and i'm betting it's because i still wear a mask#i just can't not at this point#it's just frustrating because people out here are like business as usual and i'm STILL social distancing and wearing masks everywhere#and guess what people are starting to get sick again#and not vaccinate because they've become complacent.#it's nice though that the local pharmacies and clinics are pushing the covid vax as much as the flu shot and are offering them together#so anyone who bothers to get the flu shot will likely get the covid one too#but we all know how hard it can be to just get people to take the frickin flu shot#ugh#this summer i'd just started feeling okay taking my mask off at work sometimes for the first time since i started in january 2022#then fall came along and it's like NOPE#back on for good#anyway#any nutcracker suggestions from the classical music fam?

Neon a question: what genres of music/artists do you think Joe would vibe with?
i think joe is just generally a Music Fan. he has the most eclectic music taste you've ever heard. he'll play classical and edm and hiphop and folk and heavy metal all in a row and give you genre whiplash but enjoy it all equally. in all seriousness tho i think he just loves that music is so accessible now (he wouldn't have been able to listen to this much for so long!! nicky bought him a walkman when they first became a thing and joe carried it with him pretty much everywhere for about a month until it was damaged during a mission). in their safehouses they have various different selections of cds/cassettes/vinyls depending on what kind of player they have. if not joe has a couple ipods dotted around. he just likes music a lot
that being said i think joe likes blends of folk/traditional music or instruments with modern technology + styles especially, because he likes hearing how music grows and develops and how the instruments and styles he's heard for centuries are built on and adapted. (personal favourite examples are release by afro celt sound system which is a neat blend of electronic/celtic/african music and it slaps, literally any mashrou' leila song but especially taxi, shum by go_a and stefania by kalush orchestra. additionally kai tangata by alien weaponry for the maori metal which barely qualifies as an example but its cool and i'm on a roll.) hes also a big queen fan
i cant come up with an actual list because it will be heavily skewed towards me specifically (as a general Music Enjoyer). but yeah joe and music is important to me. i also think he's a big fan of any kind of love songs even the sappiest most terrible one you've heard in your life. he thinks theyre neat
