“I can’t believe she called me childish,” Joe grumbles. “I’m not childish, I’m a thousand years old.”
Nicky hums in affirmation. Nine hundred years in this relationship has taught him that whatever he says right now will be incorrect, and it’s better to listen.
“And it’s not childish to like things,” Joe continues. “Everyone likes things. Andy likes going to ren fairs and heckling people. Nile has six thousand action figures. You’re obsessed with Lord of the Rings. Just because I like Pokémon doesn’t make me childish.”
“Of course not,” Nicky says. “You’re allowed to like things.”
“Exactly,” Joe says.
They continue walking in silence for several minutes. Joe is still clearly unhappy, so Nicky clears his throat and says, “do you want to go back and buy it?”
“No,” Joe says quickly.
Nicky waits.
“Yes,” Joe finally mumbles. Nicky reaches out his hand. Joe takes it and they turn around and go back.
Andy was probably referring to the fact that there’s no way the stuffed Pokémon is going to fit on the plane. Nicky doesn’t really care. Anything that makes Joe smile like that, he’ll buy it for him, and if they have to check an enormous stuffed Pokémon as their luggage, they’ll check it as their luggage.
“Thank you, love,” Joe says. He’s grinning from ear to ear. Nicky reels him in with an arm around his waist and presses a quick kiss to his temple.
“Any time. I love you.”
“Love you too,” Joe says, and Nicky sees him squeeze the stuffed Pokémon a little tighter.

“What are you doing.” Kyle tries to ask but it falls flat. He’s got reason to, what with Jason hugging him in the middle of a parc. He’s got two arms around him squeezing him into his torso, all while Kyle tries not to flail his arms around.
“I’m hugging you,” Jason says, redundancy with his own thoughts.
“But why?” He’s still trying to understand what’s going on, one minute they’re running through the city the next he’s embraced by a rogue vigilante.
“We’re being followed, easiest way to lose track in a crowd.” He explains, and then clicks his tongue. “Put your arms around me before they notice.” And Kyle does as instructed, but he’s not about to let himself be ordered around, especially not by Jason.
“You’re so stiff,” he complains when his hands land on his back, long planes of tension and terse muscles. Worst hug ever, it’s like holding a wall of concrete. “Relax, it looks like you’re holding a tarantula and not another human being.” And when Jason doesn’t answer, he carries on with his hunch. “Wait. When was the last time someone hugged you?”
“Shut up,” he hisses, and Kyle beams in his shoulder.
“You’re such a loser,” he snickers, and then stops when Jason’s hand worms its way to his ribs with cold intent.
“Keep talking and I start breaking bones.” He warns, and Kyle does his best to not light up his ring right there and then, desperate to give him a taste of his willpower for once.

I don't know if it counts as creation, but I will say I feel exceedingly proud of my daemon AU posts, even though I haven't finished the series yet.
The Immortal Siblings AU series is another great labour of love, and honestly I'm just proud that I managed to complete a chaptered story, holy shit
In general, I will say that I'm proud of all my TOG fics because they're all a little piece of my heart in their own way. Whether it's Nicky being a sap about Joe, or the Found Family Feels, they are my babies.
Most of my art is from when I was in the Saint Seiya fandom, but I'm still attached to a few pieces, like this one (ignore the guy, the dragon is still *chef's kiss*), this one (which is me being a huge nerd), this one (again. Nerd.), this one (those wings. Those FUCKING wings, you don't understand) and this one (it's about the Hair and the Tails).
From my P&P days, the only two arts that I still like are these two, and also I'm also pleasantly surprised by how popular my little P&P shots are, especially Galeotto fu'l Cane and Celebrated For Their Frankness. Considering I wrote them quite some time ago, I always have a little '!' moment when I receive a kudos notification for them!

Bear hugs with Joe and Nile 🥺
💖💖💖 i still could not choose, so this one has a happy and a sad fill!!! i hope you enjoy 💖💖💖
Nile’s dragging a suitcase with a broken wheel behind her, her arms full of tote bags and coffee. Andy is nursing a sprained ankle and somehow that means Nile has ended up with all the luggage. Nile’s glad it’s only a sprain.
They take the elevator. Andy grabs some of the bags on the way down, which makes Nile feel better.
They see Joe leaning against a pillar outside the airport. He waves at them and Andy shouts, moving remarkably fast on her crutches. Nile’s still straggling, she’s got a better hold on all her stuff but she’s waiting for Andy to drop her shoulder bag so she can collect it without taking an extra trip.
Andy loses the bag halfway to the car, and once she’s in, Nile exhales, picks it up, and goes to the trunk, balancing her coffee on the roof and loading everything in. She’s about to slide into the passenger seat when Joe stops her with an arm.
“Hug?” he asks and she nods gladly, stepping into his arms. Joe picks her up and twirls her around, and by the time he’s set her back down all of her stress and exhaustion and anxiety has spun off her body, leaving only the happiness of being back with her family.
“Good to see you,” she says, pulling Joe tight against her side again for a moment.
“Good to see you too,” he says, and winks at her before getting in the car and cranking the radio so loud that Nile winces. “Let’s go home.”
✨✨✨✨
Nile chews absently on her drink’s straw as she waits to exit the plane. She’s been trying to make the best of everything, going off on her own like Quỳnh did because Quỳnh said it helped, but for Nile it didn’t. She was lonely and sad instead of just sad.
Joe’s waiting for her at the bottom of the escalator, wearing sunglasses inside because he thinks it’s cool. Nile can’t rib him about it, because she’s just so glad to see him. She runs down the escalator, pushing past a bunch of people and not giving a shit, and runs into his outstretched arms.
Joe hugs her so hard he picks her up off the ground. He’s always given the best hugs. One of the few perks of Nile’s shitty situation is that Joe gives her hugs all the time, and they’re enormous and warm and make Nile feel like maybe things will turn out okay in the end.
“It’s so good to see you,” she says into his shoulder, her feet still dangling.
“And you,” Joe says. “Widower’s club, finally back together.”
Nile cranes her neck around and manages to look him in the eye. “How are you, Joe?”
“Better,” Joe says, and his smile reaches his eyes, which surprises Nile because that hasn’t happened for at least a decade. He really must be doing better. “You?”
“Terrible,” Nile says, and she just barely manages to keep from crying. Joe doesn’t put her down, just hums in understanding, and Nile smashes her face back into his shoulder.
“I miss him,” Nile says finally. “I miss my husband.”
“I know,” Joe says. “I miss mine too.”

Once again watching lotr and thinking about Andy going over the cliff in two towers and Nicky and Joe having to hear that orc say she’s dead. And seeing Quynh’s necklace in it’s hand…OUGH.

I actually don't really use candles much, and I'm also really bad at recognizing scents, so... I don't really have a favourite? 😅

There is an extremely specific shade of violet that just calms down my brain. I know it as hyacinth violet, because it's the colour of those flowers. I love it to bits. If all my clothes were in that colour I would be the happiest person in the world

Honestly. Why not both? Hand-holding while you walk, hugs when you're standing still. 💗
