I wasn't planning on reblogging the other ask because I'm embarrassed about the drawing but then I read your tags and was like: woah...

I told you about that day, I recall I described it as: I woke up today and my heart was hungry for something more. And you're so right, you got it exactly right. First of all, that fic sounds amazing. I have been reading a lot of fanfiction too lately, due to shortage of free time, but it's also a way to satisfy the yearning and daydreaming which sounds sick but it's really true, and I wish it wasn't that bad.

"Like it's painful sometimes but it's the very thing that's keeping us alive" <- this here got me, because I haven't been able to put into words!

When I wake up with this intense feeling, I feel like maybe I should take a step back (from whatever it is that's feeding these emotions, making them thrive), but then I'd feel such ache, like I have to consume whatever it is that could make me feel something, to relax, to stop this feeling from being so intense. It's a loop. I am literally so tired of it but I also love feeling it? I could curse it a thousand times but lowkey wait for the emotions to hit.

I don't know this is embarrassing for me and maybe I am delusional. [Stoned at the nail salon kinda feeling].

yeah i understand that! fanfic really is one of those niche things that just Helps So Much, even if it can almost become... can i say addictive? that's the only word coming to mind rn. like there's nothing else that quite fills that hole inside your heart, right? apart from music, maybe. (that's how it feels for me anyway.)

I've been trying to make more time for other hobbies and creative outlets lately, mainly drawing and painting, to try and focus more on creating things rather than just consuming fic after fic but there's so many good fics out there! i want to read them all!

Dhole shuddered yet again as the cold wind attacked his skin, pulling his helmet on to cover his face. The icy breeze howling and harming the Clones had only increased since they’d arrived, and the Coruscant Guard members were on the verge of constant tears from the cold's brittle attitude.

Most of the crew were on this icy planet - including Dhole, Vector, Dice, Bloodshot and Menace. 

Beside him, Bloodshot stood, an arm draped over his brother’s shoulders as the pair and Vector watched Dice and Menace roll around in the snow, play-fighting happily.

This mission was moving as slowly as slow as molasses, and it was annoying all of the troops, especially the ones who were used to the warmth. 

The Coruscant Guard members were on this frightfully freezing planet to capture a Republic Senator gone rouge, but they often forget that, as it had been so long since the briefing.

“Menace, put your helmet on,” Bloodshot ordered firmly as the boy whose skin had turned the same colour as the surrounding terrain turned. “You’ll get frostbite.”

“Yeah?” A voice called from a few metres away and the group burst out laughing as a Clone with light blue and white hair turned to them. “What?”

“Nothin’, Frostbite!” Dice called back, managing to stumble to his feet and reaching a hand out to help Menace up. But as soon as Menace reached to grab his brother’s - and put all of his weight leaning towards him in the process - Dice jerked his hand away, watching with a laugh as Menace collapsed face-first in the snow. 

The group howled with laughter again as they watched Menace raise his head out of the snow with a deadpan glare ahead, snow dripping from his eyelashes and hair as he shook himself. “Dice,” he whined in annoyance, standing up and running a hand through his dripping dark brown hair, tousling it around as snowflakes drifted from his hair and onto his armour. “You meanie.”

“C’mon, Menace,” Bloodshot chuckled as he moved to help his brother up properly, leaving Dhole to cling to Vector childishly. “You did the same thing to him yesterday, twice, in fact.”

Menace pouted but didn’t respond, lightly shoving Dice playfully before pulling his helmet over his face. The group made their way back to the camp, shrugging snow from their shoulders and dragging the white slosh, forming strange patterns.

They were joined by Frostbite and his friend Spider, a clone with shaggy black hair and glittering dark eyes. They were opposites in many ways, but got along well because. 

When they finally reached camp, the sun was beginning to disappear into the snow, in a way so brilliant and beautiful it looked like flames tamed only by the cold. While the others went to their bunks - an early start meant an early stop - Dhole stayed up to watch the sunset.

He settled on a cargo crate just underneath a cliff overhanging, watching the sky tint the snow pink. Dhole marvelled at the beauty, and even though it was harmless, he couldn’t help but think it was dangerous.

The sun - of course - was dangerous with its overwhelming, blistering heat. But the sunset itself was not.

Dhole watched softly as the sun began to seemingly disappear into the snow, staining it pink and the sky orange with waves of purple. It was a sight so beautiful he wished he could experience every day, watch as the sun slipped away and left beauty in its wake.

Something so simple, yet so marvellous.

Something Dhole so rarely got to experience.

And so he watched, as the night grew cold and his skin grew white, blue and pink, determined to watch it through his own eyes and not behind his visor.

“Hey, Vod’ika,” a voice murmured fondly, a Clone settling down to sit beside Dhole. He smiled lightly, knowing who it was without seeing the figure.

“Hello, Bloodshot,” he whispered back, bringing his knees up to the chest to resume his soft nostalgic state. 

After a minute or so of silence, the older spoke up. “What are you thinking about?” Bloodshot’s voice was gentle as he watched Dhole with a worried look.

Dhole bit his lip. He paused. “Do you ever wonder what would happen if the war ended?” The Clone wondered, watching through slight-glossiness as the sun disappeared. Bloodshot tried to hide his flinch at the word ‘if’, as if Dhole had no hope if the war would actually end.

“Not really, kid, no,” Bloodshot replied honestly. He’d always assumed he wouldn’t live to see the end.

“If it does,” Dhole murmured, and Bloodshot turned to him with an eyebrow subconsciously raised in curiosity. “I want to live on a planet like this.”

“Oh yeah?” Bloodshot prompted, and Dhole smiled.

“Yeah,” he whispered wistfully. “In a wooden hut with a clear view of the sunrise and sunset. I want to watch it every day.”

Bloodshot smiled fondly, wrapping an arm around Dhole’s shoulders. “I like that idea, Vod’ika.”

“Bloodshot?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m scared I won’t get that future,” Dhole admitted softly and Bloodshot could have sworn he heard his heart shattered, the shards scattering in his chest. 

“Oh vod’ika,” Bloodshot murmured, turning and pulling his brother into his arms. Dhole squeezed his eyes shut as a tear fell from his eye, sliding down his cheek and rolling onto Bloodshot’s neck. A gust of cold wind blew through his hair, splaying the curly wisps on his cheeks and sticking down from the tears.

“Bloodshot,” Dhole stuttered, desperate to get out his words. “I don’t want to die.”

Bloodshot sucked in a breath as his chest throbbed with the ache of his brother’s words, mourning the sunny, childish boy he’d seen only an hour before.

“I’m going to do everything in my power, to make sure you don’t,” Bloodshot whispered determinedly, wrapping the boy up tighter, clenching his teeth. “Everything.” 

They sat in the cold, snow surrounding them and eventually began to fall around them as the colours of the sunset began to fade away into darkness, the stars above shining brightly. Bloodshot felt his chest ache with sorrow and grief as Dhole’s shook with sobs, his tears turning to ice on the ground. 

Eventually, Dhole calmed down, and Bloodshot comfortingly guided him back to the barracks, where he clambered into his bunk.

“Bloodshot?” 

“Yeah?”

Dhole smiled softly. 

“If I do die, I’m glad I was your brother.”

Bloodshot smiled back, and although his chest hurt, so did his face. 

“Me too.”

“Hey, Bloodshot?”

“Yes, Dhole?”

“I didn’t tell you,” he whispered. “That cabin has a bunk for you, you and all our brothers.”

Bloodshot smiled wider, reaching over to ruffle his brother’s curls.

“Thank you, Dhole.”

“Thank you, Bloodshot.”

The show went pretty smoothly your first few nights, although you had no previous experience to compare it to. You met the rest of the cast, and had found fast friends in Daveed and Phillipa (or as she affectionately told you to call her, Pippa). At some point during your fifth show, you snuck into the wings to watch pieces of the show. It was good. Like, really fucking good. The actors flawlessly portrayed their characters as if they had lived in their shoes in some sort of past life.

You giggled at Daveed’s French accent; you marveled at Pippa’s insane vocal talent. You thought your favorite part of Act 1 was definitely Satisfied. Renee was another level of talent. You joined the men in the cast for what was apparently a nightly tradition - a backstage dance party during The Schuyler Sisters. 

You had vaguely noticed Lin’s eyes scanning up and down your body as you danced, your hips rolling to the beat. You had immediately questioned your dancing skills and quickly toned it down; you didn’t want to embarrass yourself in front of your new coworkers just yet. 

During the intermission, you helped actors fix the makeup that they had sweat off - or in Anthony’s case, “accidentally” rubbed off. You were carefully combing through his curly locks with your fingers when Daveed and Lin walked in. The taller man was laughing hysterically, his wild curls bouncing as his body was racked with cackles. Lin looked extremely annoyed and almost a little flustered. You were surprised; it was a side to the outgoing man you had never seen before. 

“What’s up?” you inquired as you glanced at the pair in amusement. Lin rolled his eyes and plopped down in a chair. “Daveed’s being an ass, as usual,” he huffed. Daveed scoffed dramatically. “I am not!”

“Yes, you are.”

“Am not!”

“Are too.”

“You’re just annoyed because I figured out that-”

Lin cut the curly haired man off with a hard pillow to the face. You giggled amusedly, tapping Anthony’s shoulder to let him know that he could go. He flashed you a grateful smile and scampered out of the room.

Back on the other side of the room, Lin was still going after Daveed angrily as the other man continued to laugh. “Dude, I don’t know what you’re so mad about, it was so easy to figure out. You’re so obvious,” Daveed howled. “I can’t blame you though, she’s hot!” You considered what you had just heard slowly. Lin was interested in someone, and it was obvious enough for people to figure it out. You felt your heart sink the slightest bit. If it was so obvious, it must be someone else. Right? You were sure that you’d be able to tell if Lin was making advances on you.

Crestfallen, you decided to at least put an end to Lin’s embarrassment. “Hey! Diggs,” you called sternly. The gazes of the two men snapped up to you quickly. “Chair. Now.” Daveed scrambled towards you, sitting in front of you with a guilty smile. You rolled your eyes impatiently as you began to stretch the wig cap over his curly locks.

“(Y/N)?” Lin called softly. You glanced up at him quickly and saw the apprehensive look on his face.

“Yeah?”

You heard a deep breath from him; it was almost shaky. Daveed began cackling once again - god knows why - so you yanked on the curly haired man’s ear. That shut him up. “This Friday we’re having a little cast party,” Lin blurted out. “Well, not really little. Our cast isn’t really great at keeping gatherings small and casual. But it’s gonna be at this high end club and I was wondering-”

“Yes, I would like to go,” you cut in, watching a small smile play on Lin’s lips. You signaled to Daveed that he was done after fastening his wig on, and the taller man left. Lin moved to the chair in front of you. “You almost seemed nervous to ask me, Miranda,” you mused. You removed the elastic in his dark hair and began working some dry shampoo in with your fingers - the actors’ hair tended to get pretty nasty after a whole act of singing and dancing.

You watched as Lin bit his lip. “N-no...” he protested, shrugging casually. “Diggs was just making me nervous with the teasing is all.” You felt your heart sink the slightest bit for the second time that night. God, why were you so bitter that Lin was interested in someone? You barely knew the guy, and you hadn’t spent tons of time together. If anything, you had been avoiding him as a result of the weird feelings he seemed to breed within you.

Shaking the odd jealousy that plagued you away instantly, you pulled yourself out of your thoughts and realized that you had been just absentmindedly stroking and playing with Lin’s soft hair. You yanked your hands away nervously. He probably thinks I’m so fucking strange, you thought glumly as your cursed yourself. But then the strangest thing happened. As you removed your hands from gently running through Lin’s hair, he subconsciously moved his head back and followed them - almost like he was searching for the contact you had just deprived him of.

You didn’t know what to say, so you did the only thing you could think of - you wove your hands back into his hair and began stroking it again. Lin immediately let out a satisfied hum, causing you to crack a smile. “My god, I’ve found your weakness,” you gasped jokingly, attempting to shatter the silence. Lin looked up at you with those huge brown eyes in inquiry. You gestured to your hands, which were working their way through his long, dark locks. “Who would’ve thought that the Pulitzer Prize winning genius would come undone from getting his hair played with?”

Lin’s cheeks flushed with color and he avoided eye contact with you. You continued to grin at him despite his clear embarrassment. The loudspeaker interrupted the moment with a “Places everyone! Please get in your places for Act Two!” At that, he leapt out of your chair and darted towards the door. He was about to leave when you stopped him. “Lin,” you called out, hoping he wouldn’t ignore you.

Lin turned to face you, still making minimal eye contact with you. The blush hadn’t disappeared from his cheeks. “Yeah?” he murmured anxiously. You bit your lip, attempting to hold back an earsplitting smile.

“Your secret’s safe with me,” you assured the flustered man in front of you. “And if it’s worth anything, I think it’s really adorable.”

With that, Lin was gone in a flash of hunter green velvet.

You eyes stayed glued to the doorframe, the recent events playing through your head over and over again. That was very weird, but you didn’t really mind hearing that content little hum fro- stop it! You shut down that train of thought immediately; it was headed on a dangerous path towards affection and attraction. Lin has feelings for someone! you reminded yourself harshly. No matter how hard you tried, though, you couldn’t stop thinking back and smiling.

You unlocked your phone out of boredom, flipping through Instagram and Twitter as you longed for the comfort of your bed. That night, your plan was as follows: pour a glass of white wine, have a bubble bath, do a face mask, and fall asleep. You savored the thoughts of the haven that was your apartment; your phone buzzed with the notification of a new text message.

It was from Daveed. Great, you thought as you rolled your eyes. Shouldn’t he be, like, on stage actually doing his job? The text had been sent in a group chat with a bunch of random numbers.

Daveed: Hola HamFam. We still on for post show Chinese takeout and movies tonight?

You were about to type out a confused reply when texts from other numbers began flooding in.

oooh good question!!! tbh i find that i’m quite picky with animes!! like so many of them don’t seem to capture my interest thoroughly :( but!!!

currently i watch bnha (ofc) and jjk (if it ever comes back lmao) and i will attempt to watch the next season of haikyuu purely for kenma + kuroo. my boyfriend and i watched the way of the house husband which honestly we found so hilarious HAHAHA and he’s got me very very slowly working my way through naruto (i’m like halfway done shippuden now!!). i watched death note up until a very specific point and i loved it SO much! i thought it was so well done and such a unique and interesting concept and just totally fell in love with both light and L ehehehe <33 but that’s about it at the moment, really!!!

i find that like, it’s very difficult for me to commit to something episodic. i’m much more into movies than i am into tv shows………other than twin peaks i really can’t think of a television show that i LOVE or that i can watch over n over or that i’d spend an adequate amount of time watching, so i kind of group anime shows in with that, because they require a lot of time and commitment that i’m just not willing to give if it isn’t something i LOVE yk??? there are several anime films that i really enjoy tho!!! studio ghibli is a given ofc, but i also really love your name and a silent voice! i’m positive there are more but those are the ones that instantly come to mind hehe <3
